Thailand Digital Arrival Card available to fill from 1 April 2025

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), also known as online TM6 form, is available to fill online from 1 April 2025. From 1 April 2025 to 30 April 2025, it is optional to fill in the TDAC within three days before arrival in Thailand. From 1 May 2025, it will be compulsory to fill in the form three days before departure to any Thailand airport or port.

The address of the TDAC is https://tdac.immigration.go.th.

Note that on the online TM6 form, the purpose of travel is to be declared. The options are Holiday/Meeting/Sports/Business/Incentive/Medical & Wellness/Convention/Employment/Exhibition/Others (Please Specify).

On the accommodation information section, the province, district area, sub-district and sub-area of the hotel or other forms of accommodation must be selected. The postal code has been filled by default after the district is selected from a list of options.

If the traveller entering Thailand is on transit and does not stay in Thailand, the Thailand accomodation details can be omitted.

After completing the accomodation details if any, the entrant is free to edit the information, delete to remove entries or select "Submit" when the information is complete and correct.

Under the Health Declaration section, there is no need to indicate whether the traveller has rash, cough or other symptoms of infectious diseases such as covid and smallpox. It only indicates the entrants are assumed and have to be vaccinated before entering Thailand.

The reporter submits the TDAC as a test and an email of TDAC submission acknowledgment with the QR code is received. Print the email to enter Thailand.  

The TDAC is only available in English and the reporter believes non-English travellers will find it difficult or impossible to complete. Chinese-speaking travellers, for instance, may choose to visit other countries instead, thus lowering the number of Chinese arrivals in Thailand.

This Audit Office building under construction in Chatuchak, Bangkok, Thailand, was found to be contracted and built by China Railway Group's subsidiary China Railway Group Corporation, China Railway 10th Bureau Group, with a total cost of 2.136 billion baht (about NT$2.082 billion), 30 floors and an area of ​​about 4.4 hectares. When the building was capped in April last year, China Railway 10th Bureau Group issued a press release through the media, proudly stating that "after completion, it will mainly serve the National Audit Office of Thailand and other relevant government functional departments, and will be a business card for China Railway 10th Bureau Group's development in Thailand", but secretly deleted the "celebratory capping article" on social media after the building collapsed.

Some netizens believe that the building collapsed because it was "not completed", but a Taiwanese netizen posted an article on Threads to explain that this is the only collapsed building in Bangkok, which is a Chinese miracle. He bluntly said that the intensity of the earthquake reached about 5 in Bangkok, but under normal circumstances, the RC structure is 6 and the SRC is 7.

Netizens mentioned that it is true that most buildings in Bangkok do not have earthquake-proof designs, but most of them have not collapsed, but this building, which was capped in April last year, collapsed. Netizens explained that the meaning of "building capping" is basically that the main structure is completed, and the foundation and building strength should have been "stable" long ago, and bluntly said "Don't talk about not being completed yet."

New passenger and cargo routes and services at Haikou Meilan Airport from 30 March 2025

From 30 March 2025 to 25 October 2025, China's civil aviation will usher in the 2025 summer and autumn flight season, totaling 210 days. During this season, Haikou Meilan International Airport (hereinafter referred to as Meilan Airport), a subsidiary of Hainan Holdings, is expected to oversee 120,200 passenger flights, with an average daily flight volume of 573 flights. 44 airlines will operate 186 passenger routes in and out of Haikou at Meilan Airport, covering 132 destinations, fully meeting passengers' diversified travel needs such as business, tourism, work and study.

In terms of the domestic route market, Meilan Airport will add 13 new cities such as Baise, Renhuai, Nanchong, Qingyang, Shiyan, Xiangxi, Xingtai and Yangzhou on the basis of maintaining high-frequency operations from Haikou to popular cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, further increasing the domestic market branch network. At the same time, the flight plans of 10 airlines including Chengdu Airlines, China Eastern, Juneyao Air and Air Guilin at Meilan Airport this season have also increased year-on-year. While attracting more foreign tourists to Hainan Free Trade Port for tourism, it will also help Meilan Airport build itself into an aviation regional gateway hub facing the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

In addition to passenger routes, the cargo route market of Meilan Airport also continues to develop in a positive direction.
