Influenza A is raging in China, covi mutant strains emerge, and bird flu emerges

Reporter : Wang Yanqiao / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/03/31/a103680069.html / Image : Video Screenshot

While the so-called influenza A epidemic in China is raging, mutated strains of covi are constantly appearing. At this time, some experts come out to declare that it is not far to get rid of the covid virus, causing doubts. In addition, the emergence of bird flu cases has caused panic among the public.

Resident in Liaoning: "Is the second wave of infections gone? Mutant covi strains continue to appear, but experts say that it is not far away from covid. On 18 March, the data released by the CDC was 86 cases, and by 23 March, the data released on the No. 1 issue is 120 cases, indicating that in just a few days, there have been 34 new cases of the covi variant strain that are of local concern.”

The China CDC recently issued an announcement that on 23 March 2023, there were 455,000 visits to fever clinics. The percentage of influenza-like cases in the southern provinces this week was slightly higher than last week, while that in the northern provinces continued to decline. The real situation is unknown.

Xu Pengpeng, Chief of the Acute Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Section of Lu'an CDC, Anhui Province: "Laboratory pathogenic surveillance data show that the composition of influenza virus nucleic acid detection and typing has quietly changed. The culprit of this epidemic is the H1N1 strain. The proportion is decreasing, and the H3N2 type that belongs to the influenza A began to increase."

At the same time, the Guangdong Provincial CDC recently announced that Zhongshan City reported a case of H3N8 bird flu infection, causing public concern.

Resident in Jilin: "Covid is over, Norovirus; Norovirus is over, influenza A. Oh, this spring is very difficult for this crop of viruses. According to a friend in the hospital, there are still many patients in the hospital. The patients with influenza A have not completely ended? Then today, I read the news that there was another case of H3N8 reported in Zhongshan, Guangdong. This case is a type of bird flu. "

Resident in Yunnan: "The covid virus has not completely disappeared, and the influenza A has not completely gone away. As a result, the bird flu virus started to come again."

Dr. Tang, Chief Physician of the Cardiology Department of Yizheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine: "What is the difference between a case of H3N8 bird flu reported in Guangdong and influenza A? The so-called bird flu is the abbreviation of avian influenza. It is a subtype of influenza A virus. Infectious diseases caused by the human body. When the human body’s immunity is low, there are underlying diseases, and the elderly are exposed to a large viral load, it can also cause human infection. After being infected with bird flu, there will be flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough, sore throat, headache and other muscle soreness and general malaise are also very common symptoms. A small number of infections of the lower respiratory tract will cause severe symptoms, lung inflammation, and even respiratory distress. The virus of bird flu and influenza A is different. But what, symptoms similar to influenza A can cause widespread transmission in humans."

DeSantis will not deliver Trump to the New York prosecutors

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will not deliver former President Donald Trump into the hands of New York prosecutors after his indictment.

DeSantis made it clear that he would treat the charges against Trump as a political abuse of power in a Thursday tweet, minutes after news of the indictment became official.

The governor pledged that Florida’s government would decline to fulfill an extradition request for Trump on the part of New York.

“The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head,” DeSantis stated.

“It is un-American. The Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct,” he added.

“Florida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda.”

DeSantis’ reaction to Trump’s indictment was closely scrutinized by national Republicans — some of whom accused him of insufficiently backing his potential rival for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.

DeSantis previously criticized Bragg for his connections to Democratic oligarch George Soros, accusing him of ignoring violent crime in favor of political bias.

“He’s trying to do a political spectacle. He’s trying to virtue signal to his base.”

“We’re not going to be involved in it in any way.”

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office indicated that it had asked Trump to surrender to New York law enforcement after a grand jury empaneled by Bragg returned an indictment.

If Trump declines to face Bragg’s charges in New York, DeSantis’ role as the governor of the former president’s home state could present a roadblock for the prosecution.

Should Trump agree to appear in a New York courthouse for a potential campaign finance violation trial, DeSantis’ role in extradition would become moot.

The latest developments in the Trump case, the grand jury decides to indict, lawyers talk about the impact

川普案最新进展 大陪审团决定起诉 律师谈影响

A grand jury in Manhattan, New York, voted on Thursday (30 March 2023) to indict former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Trump's attorney, Joseph Tacopina, confirmed the news to The Epoch Times.

The office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg had previously been investigating Trump. Before the 2016 U.S. presidential election, Trump's then-lawyer Michael Cohen paid actress Stormy Daniels $130,000. Bragg accused Trump of alleged involvement in the incident. The money was said to prevent Daniels from going public with what she claimed was an affair with Trump, who has denied any intimacy.

The grand jury conducted weeks of proceedings and heard testimony from former Trump aides, including Cohen's attorney and Cohen's own former attorney, Robert Costello, before voting on the indictment. .

While the indictment has still not been made public, the case is believed to rely heavily on Cohen's testimony. In 2018, Cohen pleaded guilty to violating federal campaign finance laws by arranging payments to Daniels and another woman who claimed to have had an affair with Trump. In the plea agreement, the lawyer alleges that he did so at Trump's direction and that the payments he made were reimbursed by the Trump Organization through routine legal fees. Despite his earlier claims, he paid for the money himself.

Trump has publicly announced that he will participate in the 2024 presidential election and is considered the most popular candidate. He himself has denied any wrongdoing, saying he was the victim of extortion.

Legal hurdles to suing Trump

Bragg's prosecution of Trump, which uses a "novel" legal argument, will face significant legal hurdles, according to some legal experts.

Alan Dershowitz, a legal scholar who has taught at Harvard Law School for 50 years, is concerned about Bragg's prosecution approach, which seeks to combine state law (false record allegations) and federal law (campaign finance violation charges). The approach is highly skeptical.

Dershowitz told The Epoch Times on 18 March 2023, "There is a federal campaign statute, there is a state records statute, and these two statutes have nothing to do with each other. A crime becomes a felony, and you're trying to borrow federal statutes, which can cause real, serious legal problems."

Another question is whether the statute of limitations in this case has expired.

Falsifying business records is itself a misdemeanor under New York state law, with a two-year statute of limitations. However, if records fraud is used to cover up or commit another crime, the charge will be elevated to a felony, which has a statute of limitations of five years.

Trial attorney John O'Connor explained to The Epoch Times in an interview that since the payment to Daniels occurred in October 2016, under normal circumstances, the pursuit of felony charges would still outnumber the lawsuits. The statute of limitations is two years but Bragg is expected to take advantage of a provision in state law that stops the statute of limitations when the "defendant continues to be absent from New York."

O'Connor said the district attorney is expected to argue that because Trump lived in Washington and Florida during the period beginning in 2016, the statute of limitations was suspended.

However, Trump remained in New York for some time during this period. Therefore, the crux of the problem is how to interpret the word "remained". Legal experts are divided on the approach the court might take on this point.

What happens next

If normal procedures are followed, prosecutors are expected to next negotiate Trump's voluntary surrender at the district attorney's office in lower Manhattan. Trump's attorney, Joseph Tacopina, has previously said the former president would voluntarily surrender if indicted.

In that case, Trump would appear at the district attorney's office at the agreed upon time to register. These include taking fingerprints, taking facial photos, etc., and informing him of his Miranda rights (also known as Miranda warnings).

He will then be arraigned in a court in the same building. The arraignment usually takes place within a few hours. In this court proceeding, Trump's defense team will receive a paper copy of the indictment, and Trump will plead not guilty. Trump would then be released on his own bond because New York law prohibits prosecutors from seeking cash bail for nonviolent felony charges.

Dershowitz told The Epoch Times that while Trump may be convicted in a jury trial in Manhattan, he would later win on appeal.

"Because I don't think Trump will get a fair trial in New York," the legal expert said, referring to the city's predominantly Democratic electorate.

"Then the charge will be overturned on appeal, but by then we're well into the election cycle," Dershowitz said, referring to the 2024 presidential election.

A spokesman for Trump previously described the case as another example of how "our judicial system has been weaponized."

In a statement to The Epoch Times last week, the spokesperson wrote: "The George Soros-funded prosecutor of the radical left Democratic Party in Manhattan has decided to elevate his 'witch hunt' to a new level."

Meanwhile, Trump has vowed to return to the White House.

Former U.S. President Trump has been mired in lawsuits since leaving office. One of the cases involved his illegal payment of hush money to adult film star "Storm Daniels" during the 2016 election campaign. Now there is news that the grand jury in charge of the investigation decided to indict Trump, the first time in the history of a former U.S. president.

According to comprehensive foreign media reports, two sources said on Thursday local time that a Manhattan jury led by New York City District Attorney Alvin Bragg decided to indict Trump after investigating the hush money affair between Trump and Daniels. Trump's attorney, Susan Necheles, also confirmed receiving news of the indictment. The official announcement is expected to be released within a few days, and the specific charges are not yet clear.

At that time, Trump will become the first former president to be prosecuted in the history of the United States, and he will have to go to Manhattan to go through procedures such as fingerprint pressing. Trump has previously stated that even if he is indicted, he will continue to compete for the Republican Party's presidential nomination.

"Storm Daniels," whose real name is Clyfford, received a hush money from the Trump camp in 2016 in exchange for not revealing a relationship between Trump and her in 2006. Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, who was in charge of handling the matter at the time, was sentenced in 2018. Prosecutor Bragg persuaded a jury to hear Trump's role in the case in January.

According to a poll released by Reuters last week, about 44% of Republican supporters interviewed believe that if Trump is indicted, he should withdraw from the 2024 presidential election.

Trump responded angrily to appearing in court: Don't expect a fair trial in New York!

According to comprehensive US media reports, on the 30th local time, a grand jury in Manhattan, New York, voted to sue former US President Trump for allegedly falsifying business records in the "hush money" case. In response, Trump posted an angry response on his own social media platform, saying that he did not expect a fair trial in New York.

"They know I can't get a fair trial in New York," Trump wrote. He also called the allegation "false, corrupt and disgraceful".

CNN quoted sources as saying that Trump faced more than 30 charges related to commercial fraud in the Manhattan grand jury indictment. Trump's lawyer, Susan Necheles, revealed that Trump will appear in court in New York next Tuesday (4 April 2023, local time) for arraignment.

Earlier in the day, Trump issued a statement describing the Manhattan grand jury vote as "the highest level of witch hunt and election interference in history" and "a series of efforts in the latest action by the Radical Left Democrats to destroy him and far-right politics." latest action".

Trump wrote, "The Democrats are obsessed with Trump, they lie, they cheat, they steal, but what they are doing now is the unthinkable, prosecuting a totally innocent person!"

According to a previous report by The New York Times, on the 30th local time, a Manhattan grand jury voted to sue former US President Trump in the "hush money" case. This would make Trump the first former president in U.S. history to face criminal charges.

According to reports, the indictment may be released in the next few days, and prosecutors will ask Trump to appear in court. The charges against Trump have not yet been made public.

The investigation into Trump's payment of "hush money" has lasted for nearly five years. The investigation focuses on whether Trump falsified relevant records. The allegations allege that Trump and his then-personal attorney, Cohen, paid porn star Daniels $130,000 in "hush money" for allegedly having an affair with Trump shortly before the 2016 election.

Falsification of business records is usually a misdemeanor charge in New York, it was stated but it could be upgraded to a felony if prosecutors prove Trump attempted to defraud, including intending to commit, assisting in committing or concealing another crime.

Former President Ma Ying-jeou's visit to CCP China sparked positive and negative confrontations in the political circles. Bob Stewart, member of the British Parliament and chairman of the Taiwan British Parliamentary Group, made suggestions when he led a delegation to visit Taiwan last week, he asked Ma Ying-jeou's visit to China not to become a symbol of Taiwan's surrender to CCP's ambitions.

When Stewart was interviewed by Taiwan Talks during his visit to Taiwan, he was asked what he thought of Ma Ying-jeou's visit to China. Stewart said that Ma Ying-jeou has the freedom to visit China and no one can stop him but he changed the subject, advising Ma not to make the trip a symbol of Taiwan's submission to China's ambitions.

Stewart emphasized that he hoped that Ma Ying-jeou would try to convince the Chinese people that it was in their best interest to maintain a friendly relationship with Taiwan.

Former President Ma Ying-jeou is visiting China and praised China's epidemic prevention, which has attracted strong doubts from all walks of life in Taiwan. Legislative President You Xikun mocked in a Facebook post this morning, "Mr. Ma Ying-jeou, who is now remembering his homeland in China, while praising China's "Wuhan's epidemic prevention is a contribution to mankind", can you also appeal to the CCP authorities nearby to stop the persecution immediately? People who do not want to be ruled by totalitarianism!"

You Xikun first mentioned the "Mayflower" refugee incident. He said that on the 26th of last month, he just responded to the letter sent by the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives, McCaul, calling on the US government to assist the Chinese "Mayflower" dissidents stranded in Thailand. He saw the news yesterday that 63 members of these 16 families consisting a total of 35 children and 28 adults of the Shenzhen Reformed Church (Shenzhen Holy Reformed Church), who have endured the CCP’s religious persecution, have been arrested and taken to Thailand’s immigration detention center, where they are about to be deported!

You Xikun believes that CCP's choice of cross-border pressure on Thailand to arrest refugees on the opening day of the Second Democracy Summit is undoubtedly a serious provocation to the action of democratic countries around the world to prevent democratic regression! He also saw that some American friends he knew were actively carrying out rescue operations. He hoped that the Thai government would treat these refugees well based on humanity and human rights. He also called on countries that love freedom and human rights around the world to severely condemn the CCP’s persecution of religious refugees, and called on the Democratic Alliance to take action to respect the wishes of these people before they are repatriated in Thailand, and to prevent these kind-hearted people from being repatriated to China and being treated harshly.

You Xikun pointed out that we should all show kindness and care for each other with humanity, tolerance, and common concern. "Since we think that others already have more, we have more with others." Our beliefs teach us to save pain and share it. We look forward to everyone taking action to contribute to the world. People who are persecuted by totalitarianism should do more! Especially Mr. Ma Ying-jeou, who is now remembering his homeland in China, besides praising China that "Wuhan's epidemic prevention is a contribution to mankind", can you also appeal to the Chinese Communist authorities to immediately stop persecuting these families and stop repatriating these people who do not want to be ruled by totalitarianism? !"

President Tsai Ing-wen stopped in New York, USA, and attended the "Global Leadership Awards Gala" held by the Hudson Institute, a think tank in Washington, in the evening of 30 March 2023 Eastern Time. Stern and Director John Walters conferred Tsai Ing-wen the Global Leadership Award. In her speech, Tsai said that in recent years, Taiwan's relationship with democracies in the world has continued to grow, but it is still excluded from the operation of the United Nations and related international organizations. Such an injustice cannot continue. Taiwan needs the support of other democracies to assist the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Taiwan's participation in international organisations.

The "Global Leadership Award" was established by the Hudson Institute to recognize international leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the world, with extraordinary vision, moral courage and strategic vision. The Hudson Institute awarded this award to President Tsai in recognition of her courage and determination to lead democratic Taiwan to respond to coercion and maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific region during her term of office with excellent leadership.

The Hudson Institute issued a press release after the meeting. Watters pointed out that it is an honour to invite President Tsai Ing-wen to attend the meeting. Under her leadership, the United States and Taiwan have expanded and deepened security and economic relations. With great courage and determination, she has maintained democracy vigorously and Taiwan rejects authoritarianism and emphasizes on maintaining a free and open Indo-Pacific region, "We are proud that the United States and Taiwan stand together", the Hudson Institute will firmly promote the security, freedom and prosperity of the United States and its allies.

Since the gala was by invitation only and was not made public, Zhang Dunhan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidential Palace, relayed the key points of President Tsai's speech after the meeting, and Tsai also communicated with the attendees. Tsai Ing-wen first said that the award from the Hudson Institute is actually a tribute to the people of Taiwan, who have shown perseverance even in the face of difficult challenges. It is with the courage and persistence of the people and the support of our American friends that Taiwan began its democratic transition and finally ended the martial law that lasted for more than 30 years. Today's Taiwan stands shoulder to shoulder with like-minded countries in pursuit of peace, prosperity and defense of democracy.

Tsai Ing-wen pointed out that CCP China deliberately escalates tensions but Taiwan always responds cautiously and calmly, letting the world see that Taiwan is the responsible side in cross-strait relations. The people of Taiwan hope for peace but history tells us the best way to avoid war is to make yourself more powerful. An unstable Taiwan Strait will bring serious economic and security risks to the world. Therefore, it is extremely important for all countries to maintain peace and stability in this region. This not only means that we must strengthen security cooperation, but also need to promote a stronger and thriving economic partnership.

Tsai Ing-wen also specifically mentioned that Taiwan’s relationship with democracies in the world has continued to grow in recent years. However, Taiwan continues to be excluded from the operations of the United Nations and related international organizations. Such an injustice cannot continue. Taiwan needs other democracies support to assist us in participating in international organisations.

Tsai Ing-wen emphasized that Taiwan is full of resilience and firmly believes in the power of democracy but no country can solve the challenges of the 21st century or fight authoritarianism alone. We will continue to cooperate with the United States and like-minded countries to prove that democracy can achieve results and demonstrate Taiwan's determination to protect our way of life.

Experts warn: Xi Jinping "preparing for war"

专家警告:习近平“正在为战争做准备”

Experts recently warned that the leader of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping, is “preparing for war.” The signs of Beijing’s preparations for war are becoming increasingly apparent, and the world should take this seriously.

News (10)

The CCP is preparing for war, US media: It would be too stupid not to believe

On 29 March, the American journal Foreign Affairs published a review article titled "Xi Jinping Says He's Preparing for War." The authors are former U.S. deputy national security adviser Matthew Pottinger and former Washington Post Beijing correspondent John Pomfret.

The article pointed out that recently Xi Jinping has continuously expounded on the theme of "preparing for war" and has made a series of preparations for war. In four separate speeches at the Communist Party's two sessions in March, Mr Xi referred to "preparation for war", one of which told his generals to "dare to fight".

The article also listed a series of signs that the CCP is preparing for war. For example, the CCP authorities announced at the two sessions that they would increase the defense budget by 7.2% and plan to reduce China's dependence on foreign food imports.

In December 2022, Beijing announced a new "Reserve Personnel Law" to vigorously expand reserve personnel. The bill says reservists are "an important source of recruits for active duty troops in time of war" and "ready to be called up to serve at any time."

In February of this year, the National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China passed the "Decision on Adjusting Some Provisions of the Criminal Procedure Law to the Military During Wartime", which contains specific provisions on jurisdiction, defense and agency, compulsory measures, case filing, investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution determined by the Central Military Commission. This means that once it enters a wartime state, the Chinese Communist army can bypass the judiciary and directly arrest the people and eliminate all opposition voices.

In addition, in Fujian Province, which is across the sea from Taiwan, several cities have begun to upgrade air-raid shelters or build at least one "wartime emergency hospital." In March, several cities in Fujian Province began blocking access to government websites from overseas IP addresses, supposedly to prevent outsiders from tracking the CCP’s war preparations.

At the same time, the CCP also established new “national defense mobilization” offices across the country.

The article pointed out that there have been some changes in Beijing that policymakers and business leaders around the world cannot ignore. "If Xi Jinping says he is preparing for war, it would be foolish not to believe him."

Expert: Xi Jinping prepares for war and forms a wartime cabinet

On 19 October 2022, the "Wall Street Journal" quoted sources familiar with Xi Jinping's thinking as saying that Xi believes that the possibility of a showdown with the West is increasing. During his ten years in power, he launched a series of actions to strengthen the military, restructure the economy, reshape society, and prepare for a possible conflict between China and the United States.

Wan Runnan, a Chinese private entrepreneur living in France and the founder of Stone Group, told French radio in November last year that Xi Jinping was "ready to fight." by forming a wartime cabinet.

He said that in the history of the CCP, even during the Mao Zedong period, there was a need to strike a balance. "It is rare for Xi to rule the world, and in a sense it is the most dangerous. But why did he do this? Four words: prepare for war."

"Why did Xi set up a wartime cabinet? He really felt that there would be a head-on conflict with the United States." Wan Runnan analyzed that Xi Jinping's current efforts to clear zero blockades, set up supply and marketing cooperatives, etc. are all engaged in wartime economics , thinking about how to engage in social control during wartime.

Just after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the authorities restarted the supply and marketing cooperatives and canteens of the Mao Zedong era. The national supply and marketing cooperatives recruited civil servants with great fanfare, and the authorities issued a document to pilot community canteens, and they wanted to implement them nationwide. People are worried that China will close the country and return to the era of planned economy. "The big pot is coming back!"

Wan Runnan said that Xi Jinping wants to bring China to this darkest moment because he really wants to prepare for war. "In their view, the economy is not a big problem. Let's talk about the wartime economy after the war, as long as you can eat a bowl of food and avoid the tragedy of tens of millions of people starving to death."

Current affairs commentator Yokogawa said in the "Yokogawa Viewpoint" program that the authorities have two reasons for this move: one is that the derailment between the CCP and the world is a foregone conclusion, and the isolation of the country is inevitable; the other is to prepare for war.

"Because once the CCP invades Taiwan, it will definitely be subject to international sanctions. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a wartime economy, state monopoly of production materials, unified purchase and marketing, and distribution of various items according to quotas. This requires a system, and the most complete is the supply and marketing cooperative. So now Start to strengthen the supply and marketing cooperatives." Yokogawa said.

He said, "Mao Zedong, the former leader of the Communist Party of China, once said to prepare for war and drought, and now it is like this, preparing for both war and drought."

Gordon G. Chang, the author of the book China is About to Collapse and a famous American political commentator, wrote in The Epoch Times on 13 March 2023 that the CCP is talking about preparing for war and preparing for it. This may be the CCP's " "Empty city plan" strategy but even with its bluster, its provocative actions could start a war. So, in any case, the United States needs to be prepared to fight.

"It is more important than ever to stop the CCP," Gordon Chang said.

There are 120 local mutant strains, Zhang Wenhong: The next round of epidemic time is basically determined

The CCP officially admitted that the number of local mutant SARS-CoV-2 (covi, CCP virus, novel coronavirus) strains in China has been increasing. Since the opening of the country at the end of 2022, as many as 120 covi strains have been discovered! Virus expert Zhang Wenhong said surprisingly, saying that the time for the next round of the epidemic has basically been determined.

Resident in Henan: "I haven't updated the video for more than ten days, because our family has been infected with this influenza A. Some people say that this A-flu is not A- flu, but the second wave of the covid epidemic. Who knows if influenza A is covid?"

According to the announcement of the China CDC on 25 March 2023 in the week ending 23 March  (from 17 to 23 March), four variants of covi, CH.1.1, CH.1.1.1, EA.1, XBB.2.3 were discovered for the first time. Since the opening at the end of last year, the local focus on mutant strains has been increasing, and as many as 120 covi strains have been discovered!

Chinese media person: "Recently, netizens from Shanghai, Beijing, Shandong, Anhui, and many other places have posted on social platforms that they have recently been infected with covid. Zhao Wei, director of the Biosafety Research Center of the School of Public Health, Southern Medical University, said, 'From At the group level, there will generally be no outbreaks again within 6 months after a major outbreak but there are exceptions, such as a large mutation of the novel coronavirus, and from an individual perspective, the possibility of secondary infection cannot be completely ruled out. Especially some people with weaker immunity or people whose immune response is not durable. In addition, it is also related to the amount of virus entering the body. If the amount of virus entering the body at one time is large, secondary infection will be more likely to occur.'”

The real situation of the epidemic in CCP China is not clear, and the first Chinese-made covid treatment drug has recently announced the suspension of production due to poor efficacy.

Tengsheng Biopharmaceutical, which is listed in Hong Kong, and Tsinghua University and Shenzhen Third People's Hospital, established a joint venture company "Tengsheng Huachuang" during the epidemic (March 2020) to launch "ambavirumab and romilox Weimab Combination Therapy" project. "Tengsheng Huachuang" has invested more than 200 million US dollars, and only sold and gained profit of 50 million RMB.

However, due to the inconspicuous effect of the drug, even with the endorsement of the official media and the policy support of the authorities, it was finally announced that the production would be discontinued.

As the covi outbreak spread again in many provinces in China, Shanghai medical expert Zhang Wenhong also said recently that the virus spread far faster than the flu, and that humans generally have no immunity. He predicts that the second wave of the epidemic will come in May and June 2023.

Guangdong notifies poultry-human transmission, Arcturus strain spreads rapidly in many countries

As the so-called influenza A epidemic was raging, Guangdong Province reported a rare case of "bird-to-human" bird flu. At the same time, a new mutant strain of "Omicron" is spreading in many countries, causing concern.

Civilian in Shaanxi: "Attention, a case of bird flu was found in Zhongshan. Then, this is a female, 56 years old, with a basic medical history and a history of exposure to live poultry."

On 26 March 2023, the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced that a case of H3N8 avian influenza was reported in the city of Zhongshan. The case was a 56-year-old female with a history of multiple myeloma and other basic diseases. Before the onset of the disease, she had been to places with live poultry, and wild poultry had also appeared around her residence. The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the test result was H3N8 bird flu infection.

Dr. Tang, Chief Physician of the Department of Cardiology, Yizheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine: "Avian influenza is generally spread among poultry, and it is difficult to infect humans. H3N8 is one of the subtypes. Of course, human infection with avian influenza cannot be ruled out. When the human body People with low immunity, underlying diseases, and the elderly are exposed to large viral loads, etc., which can also cause human infection.”

On 29 March, mainland Chinese media 21 Finance and Economics reported that Chinese and foreign scientists have shown that “the next pandemic to hit humans may be caused by a new strain of influenza virus made in animals, to which humans have little immunity. In this study, published in collaboration between Fudan University and the University of Sydney (One Health journal), the researchers concluded that avian influenza could be the source of the next new pandemic strain. This conclusion was reached by analyzing a database study containing more than 70,000 animal influenza records from 1970 to 2016.

In addition, Deutsche Welle's Chinese website reported on 28 March 2023 that in the past few weeks, a variant of Omicron called XBB.1.16, also known as "Arcturus", has spread in many countries. Experts pointed out that the covi variant XBB.1.16 spread faster than XBB.1.5, which spread the fastest in December 2022.

However, the CCP has not reported the occurrence of the XBB.1.16 strain so far. Due to the opaque information of the CCP, the real situation is unknown.

Former President Ma Ying-jeou visited the Archives of Wuhan, China this morning, praised China's epidemic prevention achievements, did not expand significantly, and called it "a contribution to mankind"; the commander of our Central Epidemic Command Center Wang Bisheng sighed: "I don't know where to contribute? I only know that this is a catastrophe for mankind!"

Wang Bisheng was asked about this at the epidemic press conference. He sighed first, and then said that Ma Ying-jeou called this China’s contribution to mankind, “but I don’t know where the contribution is? This epidemic originated from Wuhan, China. It infected all over the world, nearly 700 million people were infected, and more than 7 million people died, and this number is absolutely far underestimated.”

In addition, Ma Ying-jeou visited the Anti-epidemic Archives in Wuhan, China, and saw that the Republic of China (Taiwan) sent a chartered plane to Wuhan to evacuate overseas Chinese. He lamented, "Sorry, our government has caused troubles for you (referring to China)." In this regard, the commander of the command center Wang Bisheng sighed: "Ma Ying-jeou said these words, thinking that he is from a Chinese point of view, since he is explaining from a Chinese point of view, then respect it."

Wang Bisheng emphasized that the epidemic prevention personnel and border management personnel guarded very responsibly in the early stage of the epidemic to prevent the virus from invading Taiwan from China.

Wang Bisheng also added that Ma Ying-jeou is here to communicate. Of course, he is looking forward to the medical and health exchanges between the two sides of the strait. "But (China) starts by replying to an email, which is friendly, righteous and polite. Let's go step by step and start like this." .

Former President Ma Ying-jeou visited the "Anti-epidemic Defense War" exhibition in Wuhan, China today. In addition to praising China's "contribution to mankind" in the early stages of the epidemic, he also commented about the Wuhan chartered flight "I'm sorry, our government has caused trouble for you (refer to China)". Chen Shizhong, former Minister of Health and Welfare and former commander of the Central Epidemic Command Center, heard this, and his tone revealed a slight anger, saying: "President Ma himself has not done anything, so he is a little guilty, otherwise these words are not in line with the facts."

Chen Shizhong said in an interview with reporters that at that time, the Chinese government’s position was to quickly bring back Taiwanese who were staying for a short time and who were inconvenient to live in Wuhan, which had already been closed. Travelers simply do not qualify as "persons in urgent need of assistance."

Chen Shizhong said that after active communication, there will be the second and third batches of chartered flights from Wuhan, so that many old, weak, women and children who really need help can return to Taiwan. "On the contrary, we don't want to cause trouble to China." As for Ma Ying-jeou's statement of "causing troubles in China", Chen Shizhong criticized that President Ma did not do anything himself, so he has a guilty conscience, otherwise these words are not in line with the facts.

During the visit, Ma Ying-jeou also said that China’s contribution to the entire human race in the early stages of epidemic prevention prevented the virus from spreading; Chen Shizhong said that it is still pointed out that the virus was caused by the Wuhan laboratory to cause this human disaster, and China did not cooperate with the overall investigation. , so there are still many relatively unclear situations, "but it would be a bit ironic to say that it is China's contribution to mankind."

Former President Ma Ying-jeou visited the Wuhan Municipal Archives on 30 March 2023 on the "Heroic City Fighting the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic Wuhan Defense War Special Exhibition". Ma Ying-jeou sighed, "Sorry, our government caused you trouble." In this regard, Zhang Zhihao, director of the DPP's news department, said bluntly that Ma should simply stay in China and not come back.

Zhang Zhihao said through Facebook that Ma Ying-jeou's scheduled itinerary did not have this arrangement originally, and it was obviously added temporarily at the request of the CCP.

Zhang Zhihao said, "Over the past three years, how many people in the country have lost their health, lives, and family members due to COVID-19, as well as all the medical staff and everyone who protect the health of the nation. We have worked together and fought against the epidemic together. At this moment, Ma Ying-jeou's outrageous words and deeds are very ironic, because Ma Ying-jeou only thinks about his motherland and only thinks that he is Chinese."

"Ma Ying-jeou actually stopped in front of Xi Jinping's video, and he bowed his head to China," he criticized. Ma Ying-jeou even applauded while listening to the briefing, and said, "I'm sorry, our government caused your "trouble". Zhang called on Ma Ying-jeou and the Kuomintang to make it clear who caused the harm to the Taiwanese and who caused the major international harm.

In addition, Democratic Progressive Party spokesperson and legislator Lin Chuyin also pointed out that Ma Ying-jeou accepted the "China's internal propaganda" and even said that CCP China's epidemic situation was initially well controlled and did not expand outwards, which made him feel very admirable. It is a contribution to the entire human race. "What kind of nonsense is this?"

Lin Chuyin said directly that she could not believe what she heard. The Chinese people have been locked down to launch a white paper revolution. What contribution does the Chinese Communist government have to China and mankind?

When former President Ma Ying-jeou visited the Wuhan Municipal Archives' "Hero City Fighting the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic Wuhan Defense War Special Exhibition" today, he praised China's anti-epidemic achievements as a contribution to the entire human race, attracting the Democratic Progressive Party to question. The Kuomintang spokesman Lin Jiaxing responded that politics should not override human nature. Ma Ying-jeou’s speech was to express respect for the sacrifice and dedication of the frontline medical staff in Wuhan’s fight against the epidemic, and to pay tribute to the experience of the people of Wuhan under the epidemic. It should not be interpreted politically.

Lin Jiaxing said that the DPP should reflect on itself. The wrong anti-epidemic policy at the beginning, including failure to deploy ahead of schedule, chaos in the rapid screening of mask vaccines, blocking private outsourced vaccines, and deliberately promoting domestic Medigen vaccines caused various drawbacks, disturbances, and even delays. On saving people's lives, isn't there need to be sincere apology to the general public in Taiwan?

Lin Jiaxing said that Ma Ying-jeou chose to exchange with the other side in the post-epidemic era, focusing on the well-being of the people and the development and recovery of the society. He must remember the past so as to avoid the recurrence of the next epidemic. In the post-epidemic era, the well-being of the people in various regions and societies and the recovery of development will be a major issue of concern and participation of the KMT.

He said that the fight against the covid epidemic knows no borders. In the face of the epidemic and the invasion of viruses, the whole world has learned that it is necessary to expand medical and epidemic prevention exchanges, deepen technical cooperation, and jointly face and solve problems to maintain the health and safety of all mankind.

Regarding former President Ma Ying-jeou's praise of China's anti-epidemic achievements as "a contribution to mankind", the commander of the Central Epidemic Command Center Wang Bisheng sighed in the afternoon: "I don't know where the contribution is? I only know that this is a catastrophe for mankind! "

Former President Ma Ying-jeou traveled to Wuhan, China this afternoon, and met with Hubei Provincial Party Committee Secretary Wang Menghui. He said in his speech that he hoped that the two sides of the Taiwan Strait will communicate and cooperate, and more importantly, avoid the risk of war. Negotiations replace conflicts, and he also hopes that the Chinese side can better understand Taiwan's aspirations and seek common ground while reserving differences in order to "move steadily and go far."

Ma Ying-jeou pointed out that after leaving office, he served as a chair professor at Soochow University. Many mainland students and Taiwanese students took classes together, which made him more deeply aware of the effect and importance of cross-strait youth exchanges. Young people on both sides of the strait can communicate with each other when they are young to achieve mutual understanding, more contact, more friendship between the two sides of the strait. The deeper the friendship, the lower the chance of conflict.

Ma Ying-jeou said that Hubei Province has always been a tourist attraction full of cultural and historical charm. He has visited the Yellow Crane Tower, one of the four famous buildings in the south of the Yangtze River, and enjoyed the scenery of the East Lake Greenway with the students. The former site of the military government of the Wuchang Uprising is also there Therefore, this is an important historical relic in modern times, and the delegation has also conducted the first student exchange of this trip at Wuhan University, which is known as the most beautiful university campus.

Ma Ying-jeou said that the interaction between Hubei and Taiwan has become increasingly close. As far as he knows, Hubei has been working hard to promote "high-quality economic and social development" in recent years. Therefore, it has become an important development center for Taiwanese businessmen and students, and has contributed a lot to cross-strait exchanges and cooperation. , He would like to thank the other side for taking care of the Taiwanese businessmen and students in Hubei, as well as the assistance and reception for his trip.

[Central News Agency] Former President Ma Ying-jeou’s 12-day visit to China to pay respects to his ancestors was the first trip yesterday to visit the Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen in Nanjing. During this period, he mentioned the founding of the Republic of China by Sun Yat-sen, the founding father of the country, and made a public speech referring to the Republic of China. The official media CCTV did not report and cut all of them.

According to CCTV's audio-visual and written reports about Ma Ying-jeou's visit to China's mausoleum, Ma Ying-jeou led a delegation into the sacrificial hall on foot, and the master of ceremonies read out a sacrificial oration in praise of Sun Yat-sen's great achievements and noble character.

The content of the sacrificial text quoted by the CCTV report includes: "People on both sides of the strait belong to the same China, descendants of Yan and Huang, rejuvenate the nation, create a future together, and pass on the legacy. There should be no borders."

However, it is mentioned in the sacrificial rite that the founding father "resisted the great powers and established the Republic of China", and CCTV's audio-visual and written reports did not mention it.

In addition, Ma Ying-jeou inscribed the 8-character "Peaceful Struggle, Rejuvenate China" in the pentacle of the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, and signed it with his name and the era of the AD and the Republic of China.

However, in the news photos and audio-visual images released by CCTV, only the inscription and his name were left, and the handwritten AD and the era of the Republic of China were cut off. Not immune.

Then he went to the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to deliver a public speech, referring to "March 28, 112, the former President Ma Ying-jeou", and said that Mr. Sun Yat-sen, the father of the country, "put an end to China's 4,000-year-old dictatorship and established the first democratic republic in Asia - the Republic of China ", "It has been 112 years since today", and "Father of the Republic of China passed away on March 12, 1925".

CCTV's audio-visual and written reports also omitted the title, and only quoted a passage in his public speech that did not mention the Republic of China and the Republic of China: "People on both sides of the Strait belong to the Chinese nation and are descendants of the Yellow Emperor. I sincerely hope that both sides of the Strait will work together to pursue peace and avoid war. , Committed to the revitalization of China, this is an unavoidable responsibility for Chinese people on both sides of the strait, and we must work hard to realize it.”

Later, Ma Ying-jeou accepted a joint interview and said that the two sides must pursue peace, otherwise there will be no future for both sides. CCTV's text and audio-visual reports on this were also skipped. Ma only mentioned that he hoped that Taiwan's young people can learn more about Mr. Sun Yat-sen's life and cross-strait relations. Friends from the mainland are very grateful and enthusiastic and he will convey this kindness to the people of Taiwan when he returns to Taipei.

As for the meeting with Jiangsu Provincial Party Secretary Xin Changxing last night, CCTV's official website did not show a single word.

Ma Ying-jeou points out to Xin Changxing that he promoted cross-strait exchanges during his tenure as the “President of Taiwan” and created the “most peaceful and prosperous stage” in the past 70 years of cross-strait separation. As former chairman of the Kuomintang, Xin Changxing addrssed him as the "former leader of the Taiwan region".

A large number of wealthy Chinese are pouring in, Singaporeans complain

In order to escape the crackdown of the CCP government, more and more wealthy Chinese businessmen are looking to Singapore, known as the "Switzerland of Asia" but not everyone in Singapore welcomes the influx of wealthy foreign businessmen, and some locals are bitter.

By law, most housing in Singapore is reserved for Singaporeans, with foreign buyers locked out of much of the housing market, but locals feel the impact strongly in other ways, too.

"I've heard stories of new mainlanders spending like crazy," sales manager Emma Chiu told Al Jazeera, "and I personally find that when I want to go shopping these days, things are either much more expensive than before, Either it sold out, and I think that has to do with all the foreign money flowing through the city."

Chiu said she and her friends used to talk about seeing all these mainland Chinese spending like crazy, driving big expensive cars, wearing all the latest brands, eating at all the fancy restaurants. "It seems to me that some of the Chinese spend their money a bit ostentatiously, but I guess that's part of what makes them have fun."

“I just want Singapore to be a place for everyone who calls this city home, not just the super rich,” Chiu added.

School teacher Sean Feng said the sharp rise in food prices has made it difficult for him and his family to make ends meet.

"A lot of daily necessities are a lot more expensive now," Feng told Al Jazeera, "I know inflation has been bad everywhere in the past few years, but when so many rich people settle here, it will definitely be more expensive for us." bad."

The locals’ concerns are unfounded. According to the Singapore Bureau of Statistics, the food inflation rate in January and February exceeded 8%, significantly higher than the overall inflation rate.

Singapore as expensive as New York

Singapore's core inflation rate (the actual inflation rate that excludes food and energy price volatility) was 5.5% in February, the highest in Southeast Asia and more than double that of other advanced Asian economies such as Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan. Singapore joined New York City as the most expensive city to live in, The Economist reported last December.

On the tourist island of Sentosa, off Singapore's south coast, the influx of foreign money has seen foreign membership fees at Sentosa Golf Club rise to 880,000 Singapore dollars ($660,000), double the 2019 level.

"You also notice that there are a lot more Chinese in the urban landscape than there were a few years ago," said an executive at a major international bank, who asked not to be named. "Everywhere you go, you hear people with Chinese and Hong Kong accents."

CCP continues to prosecute Chinese officials and private sector businessmen

Since Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping came to power, the Chinese government has moved in an increasingly authoritarian and nationalist direction, with more than 100 high-ranking officials and tens of thousands of low-level officials and businessmen prosecuted for "crimes." Recently, many wealthy businessmen have fled China with their funds amid a regulatory crackdown on the private sector.

Sara Hsu, an expert on Chinese fintech and shadow banking at the University of Tennessee, told Al Jazeera that, simply put, China is becoming an "unattractive investment country," leading Chinese investors to seek "better overseas opportunities."

While moving large amounts of money out of China is a challenge, many have found a way, Hsu said.

Mainland Chinese buyers will account for nearly a quarter of the 425 luxury homes sold in the city in 2022, more than twice as many as U.S. citizens.

Flow of assets and rich people from CCP China to Singapore may not last

Singapore operates a global investor program that allows individuals to obtain permanent residency for themselves and their families if they invest a certain amount in the country. For wealthy foreigners looking for security for themselves, their families and their assets, Singapore is super attractive.

But experts say the flow of assets and people from China to Singapore may not last. Jiang Yang, a senior fellow at the Danish Institute for International Studies, noted that if capital flight continues, CCP authorities may seek to further tighten capital controls. The CCP government will kill this trend because it needs these private individuals to keep its market alive.

The permanent cancellation of the CCP’s most-favored-nation law makes Beijing a little flustered
Image : Web Screenshot

U.S. Senator Josh Hawley recently proposed a bill to cancel China’s normal trade relationship treatment. Once the bill is passed, it means that all Chinese exports to the United States may be subject to additional tariffs. This will cause a shock in the economic circles of the United States and China, and will cause a chain reaction in many countries in the world, including Europe. In the post-epidemic era when the CCP’s economy was originally declining, the CCP will feel "Alexander".

The CCP’s second- and third-rate media first cursed, belittled, and threatened to say how much damage it would cause to the United States and how bad it would be to the world economy. Later, some second-rate media announced that they wanted to strengthen communication and cooperation with the United States, which would benefit both sides and win-win. It can be seen that the CCP panicked a lot, wanted to save face and deceived the people, and finally had to give in. Its hypocrisy, stern and soft-hearted paper tiger nature once again shows its vivid eyes.

The so-called "Most Favored Nation Treatment" of the United States, in addition to clarifying the scope of tariff and non-tariff barriers to goods and services, mainly means that China can also enjoy benefits such as technology transfer, foreign trade structural reform, intellectual property protection and market access from the United States.

Most-favored-nation treatment began in the 1980s. At that time, the U.S. government reviewed and approved "some benefits" every year. By the mid-1990s, it was determined to be permanent. In 2000, it was changed to a permanent normal trade relationship, which was officially announced later. The United States and China have gradually become trading partners, and the CCP has indeed obtained great economic and technological benefits from the United States. Until 2020, the bilateral trade volume between the two countries is close to 560 billion US dollars.

During the Trump administration, in terms of U.S.-China trade relations, some high-level government officials believed that the United States was being used, and emphasized the U.S. trade deficit with China (the Communist Party), which exceeded $285 billion in 2020. Earlier this year, several Republican senators introduced the China Trade Relations Act to strip China of permanent normal trade relations but Hawley's bill allows the United States to impose higher tariffs on Chinese imports, and allows the President of the United States to impose higher rates on certain imports, permanently and more severely.

In recent years, some high-level officials of the U.S. government and high-level members of the "both houses of Congress" have increasingly seen the face of the CCP's rogues and shameless gangsters. Therefore, the voices of decoupling, stopping core supply, sanctions, blacklisting, technical blockade, and technical protection come one after another. During the Trump administration, there was a trade war between the United States and China, which made the CCP very nervous. It sent high-level delegations to the United States for negotiations again and again, and had to make some concessions during the process, accommodating many conditions proposed by the United States.

Impossible for China to return to the "Most-favored-nation treatment"

Revocation of CCP China's permanent most-favored-nation status means that products from CCP China cannot enjoy normal trade relations; CCP cannot participate in US financial investment plans; the president cannot sign any commercial agreements with CCP China. Moreover, it is up to the president of the United States to decide whether to extend the treatment. Even if the president agrees to the extension, Congress still has the power to overturn the president's decision. This means that it is basically impossible for China to return to "most-favored-nation treatment".

The CCP feels a lot of pressure from this. These days, through Netease, Sohu and other media that are not serious or important, they are carefully releasing the news, hoping that the United States will be lenient in some important trade and services, and also calling on the country to remain rational and calm, in line with the purpose of a win-win situation and mutually beneficial bilateral economic and trade relationship, to strengthen communication and cooperation. Its strong sour taste reflects the tension, weakness and timidity of the Communist Party, and it is bound to intensify the division within the officialdom. How to learn "inner circulation" from history after preparing to lose foreign aid.

It’s really a house leak coincident with continuous night rain. It was originally a post-epidemic period of economic downturn. In such a “worse situation”, the CCP had to close its doors to discuss strengthening intellectual property protection, improving market access and deepening economic system reforms to get rid of the possible imminent crisis.  It seems that the CCP is really having a hard time this year.

"Comrades, don't panic. When the situation is not good for us, we just need to..."

Image : Premier of the State Council of the Communist Party of China, Li Qiang (aove), met with some business leaders from all over the world on the 27th. The official propaganda of the Communist Party of China said, "Everyone said that... they are very excited to return to China." This scene is reminiscent of Nobel Prize winner Solzhenitsyn's harsh criticism of Western capitalists.

On 27 March 2023, Li Qiang met with overseas representatives attending the 2023 annual meeting of the China Development Forum and held discussions with them. It is said that political leaders of relevant countries, heads of the world's top 500 companies, experts and scholars from internationally renowned academic research institutions, and representatives of major international organizations participated.

Li Qiang said, "It's like driving on a rainy day. If you always look down at your feet, you will see muddy ground; if you can always look up, you will see a rainbow after the rain."

According to the report, Allianz Insurance Group Chairman and CEO Bate, Apple CEO Cook, Rio Tinto Group CEO Shi Daocheng, Hitachi Group Chairman Higashihara Toshiaki, Boston Consulting Global Honorary Chairman Bockner Wait for foreign representatives to speak one after another.

"Everyone said that... they are very excited to return to China after three years, and appreciate the important achievements China has made in economic and social development."

The so-called "beautiful prospects" described by Chinese Premier Li Qiang and the "excitement" expressed by these foreign representatives reminded people of a famous speech by Nobel Prize winner Solzhenitsyn.

On 30 June 975, Solzhenitsyn attended a speech held by the AFL-CIO in Washington, where he severely criticized Western capitalists.

Solzhenitsyn said: "There is one thing that is almost incomprehensible to the human mind, that is, the infinite greed of human beings for profit, beyond all reason, beyond all self-restraint, beyond all conscience, and only knows profit. Lenin has long understood this. One point. Lenin was convinced that capitalists would do anything to help strengthen the Soviet Union's economic power, and that capitalist countries would compete fiercely with each other, trying to sell more goods to the Soviet Union at a lower price and faster. Lenin Said: They will do business with us regardless of all consequences. At a meeting of the Communist Party in Moscow, Lenin said to everyone with confidence: "Comrades, do not panic. When the situation is not good for us, we only have to throw the rope to us." The bourgeoisie themselves will put the rope around their necks." A Bolshevik named Karl Radek asked loudly: "Excellent, Vladimir Ilyich, but where can we get such  many ropes to hang all the capitalists?" Lenin replied easily: "Don't worry, the capitalists will sell us!""

President Tsai Ing-wen plans to visit Central America starting 29 March 2023 and will stay in the United States briefly in the name of "transit". "United Daily News" and ETtoday News Cloud reported today that on the eve of Tsai Ing-wen's departure, the U.S. State Department's Assistant Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific Affairs Kang Da temporarily postponed the briefing on Tsai Ing-wen's "transit".

In this regard, the "United Daily News" stated: "The atmosphere is delicate, and the United States temporarily called off Tsai Ing-wen's transit briefing." In addition, "Central News Agency" also pointed out that John Kirby, the strategic communications coordinator of the National Security Council of the White House, said on the 28th local time that no "meeting" between US officials and Tsai Ing-wen was arranged this time.

"United Daily News" reported that the Washington Foreign Correspondents Club issued a briefing notice on the 27th local time, indicating that the subject was Tsai Ing-wen's "transit" in the United States, and the briefer was Kang Da.

According to the report, just half an hour before the briefing, the Foreign Correspondents Club notified "postponement" and "cancellation" respectively, and said it would announce a new briefing date and time when it was ready.

"United Daily News" stated that this is the first time that a senior official of the U.S. State Department called for a stop at the last moment of a special briefing for "transit" since the Taiwan authorities broke off diplomatic relations with the United States. The U.S. State Department and the Foreign Correspondents Club did not say why, the report said.

"Central News Agency" reported that regarding Tsai Ing-wen's transit to the United States, Kirby said at a media briefing on the 28th: "Transit is not uncommon. This is Tsai Ing-wen's seventh transit in the United States. This is an unofficial visit and a private itinerary."

As for whether the U.S will send officials to meet with Tsai Ing-wen, Kirby said that there is no such plan.

In response to news about President Tsai’s transit in the United States, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China has previously made a clear response. China firmly opposes any form of official exchanges between the United States and Taiwan, firmly opposes leaders of the Taiwan authorities visiting the United States under any name and for any reason, and firmly opposes the United States violating the one-China principle, any form of contact with the Taiwan authorities, the Chinese side has lodged representations with the U.S. side in this regard.

However, during this trip, President Tsai will meet with U.S. House Speaker McCarthy in California.

Zhongnanhai's anti-U.S. policy causes infighting, Rare Warning from the Former Deputy Foreign Minister: Think Clearly

中南海抗美引内讧 传前副外长罕见警告:想清楚

Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping recently publicly criticized the United States, and made a high-profile visit to Russia to send out anti-American signals, exacerbating the deterioration of US-China relations. However, Zhongnanhai’s anti-U.S. policy seems to have caused internal strife. It is rumored that former Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying rarely issued a warning: Chinese people should think clearly, if China and the United States break up, which country will stand up?

Fu Ying warned: If China and the United States break up, will any country stand up to China?

On 26 March the WeChat public account "Zhujing Youhuang" posted: "Fu Ying, the former vice minister of foreign affairs of China (the Communist Party of China) and director of the Center for Strategy and Security Studies of Tsinghua University, delivered a speech at the forum, making a speech on Sino-US relations. latest judgments and expectations."

The article went viral on Twitter overseas. The content shows: Fu Ying said in her speech that the Chinese should "use their own heads to think clearly about Sino-US relations. First, they must think clearly, and second, they must discuss clearly with the US side."

Fu Ying warned, "Chinese people have to think clearly: If China and the United States break up or part ways, will any country choose to side with China (the Communist Party)? What exactly do we want? What should we do?"

She also talked about the "decline" theory of the United States repeatedly promoted by the Chinese Communist Party, saying, "Whether the United States is in decline or not is a matter for the United States itself. China cannot decide the decline of the United States, and it will not really decline just because you say it is declining every day." .China has a lot of its own affairs and problems. Don't always focus on bad-mouthing the United States. There is no need to step on each other...don't confront each other."

She hopes that China and the United States will reconcile, saying that "a reconciliation between China and the United States is definitely beneficial to China." However, the article was soon deleted by WeChat.

According to public information, Fu Ying has successively served as consul and director of the Asian Department of the CCP’s embassies in the Philippines, Australia and the United Kingdom, as well as deputy foreign minister of the CCP, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Committee, and chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress. At the two sessions of the CCP this year, Fu Ying no longer served as a deputy to the National People's Congress, and is now the director of the Center for Strategy and Security Studies at Tsinghua University.

Fu Ying has not yet responded to the online rumours about Sino-US relations. However, the point of view in the article is in the same direction as Fu Ying's speech on 9 July 2020 at the forum on "Mutual Respect, Trust and Cooperation-Seizing the Correct Direction of Sino-US Relations".

Some analysts believe that when the CCP leader Xi Jinping and the new foreign minister Qin Gang publicly criticized the United States, Fu Ying issued a stern warning to Sino-US relations, sending a signal that some people in the party oppose Zhongnanhai's anti-US policy.

Yang Wei, a current affairs commentator at The Epoch Times, said that just after the two sessions of the Communist Party of China and Xi Jinping had just returned from Russia, there were internal noises, and the timing was such a coincidence. He believes that Fu Ying's article shows that the confrontation strategy between the top leaders of the CCP and the United States has once again been strongly questioned, and not everyone in the CCP is unanimously anti-American.

"This may be Fu Ying's 'truth', or someone else's 'truth' for her, but they are all 'truths' about Sino-US relations, which is tantamount to throwing a pot at the top of the CCP's anti-US strategywith cold water." Yang Wei said.

Xi Jinping criticized the United States and visited Russia, releasing a signal of resistance to the United States

During the National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China in early March this year, Xi Jinping rarely named and criticized the United States, saying that "Western countries headed by the United States" have "implemented all-round containment, containment, and suppression" against China.

Subsequently, Qin Gang, the foreign minister of the Communist Party of China, also described Sino-U.S. relations as a "zero-sum game of life and death" at the press conference of the two sessions on 7 March. He claimed that the U.S.’s perception and positioning of the CCP has seriously deviated, “If the U.S. does not step on the brakes... (the two sides) will inevitably fall into conflict and confrontation.”

After the two sessions, Xi Jinping paid a high-profile visit to Moscow and met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The two sides signed the "Deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership in the New Era" and the "Joint Statement on the Development Plan for the Key Directions of Sino-Russian Economic Cooperation."

Current affairs commentator Qin Peng said that the newly signed agreement between China and Russia is an anti-American declaration. The China-Russia alliance is what each wants but Russia actually benefits more.

A video went viral on the Internet. In the evening of 22 March, when Xi Jinping left the Kremlin and bid farewell to Putin, he said, "We are now undergoing changes unseen in a century, and we will promote them together." Putin responded, "I agree."

Ian Williams, NBC's Russian correspondent, published an article on the website The Spector on the 22nd, saying that Xi Jinping's farewell speech not only shows that Xi will not give up on Putin, but also Russia's atrocities in Ukraine, that fit perfectly with Xi Jinping's broader aim of undermining the West.
