From 30 March 2025 to 25 October 2025, China's civil aviation will usher in the 2025 summer and autumn flight season, totaling 210 days. During this season, Haikou Meilan International Airport (hereinafter referred to as Meilan Airport), a subsidiary of Hainan Holdings, is expected to oversee 120,200 passenger flights, with an average daily flight volume of 573 flights. 44 airlines will operate 186 passenger routes in and out of Haikou at Meilan Airport, covering 132 destinations, fully meeting passengers' diversified travel needs such as business, tourism, work and study.

In terms of the domestic route market, Meilan Airport will add 13 new cities such as Baise, Renhuai, Nanchong, Qingyang, Shiyan, Xiangxi, Xingtai and Yangzhou on the basis of maintaining high-frequency operations from Haikou to popular cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, further increasing the domestic market branch network. At the same time, the flight plans of 10 airlines including Chengdu Airlines, China Eastern, Juneyao Air and Air Guilin at Meilan Airport this season have also increased year-on-year. It is worth mentioning that this season, Meilan Airport also introduced Air Travel (Hunan Airlines) for the first time, mainly operating Haikou = Changsha and Haikou = Kunming routes, providing passengers with more convenient and diverse travel options.

In terms of the international and regional route market, Meilan Airport will welcome a number of new routes: a direct flight from Haikou to Kansai will be opened on 1 April 2025, the frequency on the  Haikou = Suvarnabhumi route sectors will be increased on 10 April 2025, a new direct flight from Haikou to London, UK will be opened on 7 May 2025 and the frequency on the Haikou = Hong Kong return flights will increase on 30 May 2025. While attracting more foreign tourists to Hainan Free Trade Port for tourism, it will also help Meilan Airport build itself into an aviation regional gateway hub facing the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

In addition to passenger routes, the cargo route market of Meilan Airport also continues to develop in a positive direction. SF Airlines plans to operate a Haikou=Ezhou cargo route every day while China Postal Airlines plans to operate a Haikou=Nanjing cargo route daily, and Georgian Airlines plans to launch new Haikou=Navoi and Tbilisi=Haikou international cargo routes, further expanding the accessibility and radiation range of the Hainan Free Trade Port cargo route network.

At the same time, in order to improve the travel efficiency and experience of passengers after the route changes, Meilan Airport not only provides "late arrival butler", "first-time worry-free" and "relay" services on a regular basis, providing fast check-in and security inspection services for late arrival passengers and first-time passengers, but also fully uses 24-hour new energy terminal passenger shuttle buses with larger internal space in the carriages. The vehicle carrying capacity has been expanded from the original maximum single-time carrying capacity of 40 people to 90 people, meeting the needs of passengers for convenient travel. In addition, Meilan Airport Hotel has launched an exclusive "gate to door" service, providing guests staying in the hotel with free T2 pick-up and drop-off, fast customs clearance, and luggage delivery directly to the room door, allowing passengers to be burden-free throughout the journey and making travel more convenient.
