两会现三大异常 分析:习防政变 又怕暗杀

As China's economy continues to deteriorate and the CCP's political situation is in chaos, the CCP's "Two Sessions" were held. On 4 March 2024, the Chinese Communist Party officially announced the cancellation of the Prime Minister’s Press Conference on the first day of the meeting, and suddenly announced that former Defense Minister Li Shangfu was no longer a deputy to the National People’s Congress. In addition, according to the meeting agenda, this National People’s Congress meeting did not involve the appointment or removal of high-level personnel.

Some analysts believe that Li Qiang's absence from the press conference has also exposed the ugliness of fierce internal strife and civil strife among the top leadership of the CCP. Party leader Xi Jinping is afraid of questioning voices. At the same time, Xi also wants to prevent Li Qiang from becoming Li Keqiang.

"Two Sessions" Prime Minister's Press Conference cancelled, Public Opinion ridiculed CCP

On 4 March 2024, Lou Qinjian, spokesman for the second session of the 14th National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China, announced that there will be no press conference after the closing of this year's National People's Congress. Unless there are special circumstances, the Prime Minister's press conference will not be held in the next few years of this National People's Congress.

This press conference of the Chinese Communist Party Prime Minister, which has been held for 31 consecutive years, was cancelled. Public opinion was full of ridicule, "The position of Prime Minister has been completely marginalized." "The Prime Minister has completely become a domestic slave." "Now he can't even perform."

According to Lianhe Zaobao, when Xie Feng, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and ambassador to the United States, was asked about this news, he was slightly stunned and replied: "This is the first time I have heard this."

Taiwan's Central News Agency reported that regarding the Chinese Communist Party's official cancellation of the Prime Minister's press conference, Dong Mingzhu, a member of the National People's Congress and chairman of Gree Electric Appliances, just laughed a few times, made no comment, and quickly walked into the venue surrounded by media.

Li Shangfu was secretly dismissed from the National People's Congress

On 4 March, a delegation of the military and armed police forces was established to attend the second session of the National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China. Former Defense Minister Li Shangfu, who was dismissed, is still on the list of representatives but Lou Qinjian told the media that day that Li Shangfu could not attend the two sessions because he was no longer a deputy to the National People's Congress.

On 27 February 2024, the qualifications of 11 people including Qin Gang, the former foreign minister of the Communist Party of China, were terminated as deputies to the National People's Congress, seven of them were dismissed, and Qin Gang and four others "resigned," but Li Shangfu was not mentioned.

There is no agenda for high-level personnel appointments and removals at the National People’s Congress meeting

On 4 March 2024, the agenda for the second session of the National People’s Congress of the Communist Party of China was announced, including 7 items on the agenda, but there were no arrangements for personnel appointments and removals. This also shows that this National People's Congress meeting does not involve high-level personnel arrangements.

The Wall Street Journal reported in January that 59-year-old Liu Jianchao is expected to succeed Wang Yi and become the next foreign minister during the two sessions of the Communist Party of China in March this year.

The former Foreign Minister Qin Gang and the former Defense Minister of the Communist Party of China, who were personally promoted by Xi Jinping, were successively dismissed from their posts. In July 2023, Wang Yi, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee, "returned" to take over as foreign minister; at the end of December last year, Dong Jun, a former commander of the navy who was not a member of the Central Military Commission, became defense minister.

Observers believe that if Liu Jianchao takes over as foreign minister, he and Dong Jun will be promoted to State Councilors at this session of the National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China. According to Bloomberg, this also means that the Chinese Communist Party will announce Wang Yi’s successor at the two sessions.

The Third Plenary Session of the CPC Central Committee has not yet been held, which means that Defense Minister Dong Jun is neither a member of the Central Military Commission nor a State Councilor.

With Li Shangfu and Qin Gang being removed from their posts as State Councilors, there are currently only three State Councilors left in the CCP, and the cabinet structure of the State Council is in a state of semi-paralysis.

Analysis: Xi must prevent Li Qiang from becoming Li Keqiang

Regarding the chaos of the CCP’s Two Sessions, current affairs commentator Yang Wei wrote an article in The Epoch Times on 5 March 2024, saying that the CCP’s Two Sessions were a scandalous show, and in 2024 they even canceled the Prime Minister’s Press Conference, tearing off a fig leaf. On the surface, the top leaders of the CCP are avoiding various difficult questions that reporters may raise, revealing the weakness and cowardice of the CCP regime.

Li Qiang no longer appears at the press conference, which is equivalent to avoiding a series of sharp questions that he may encounter, but at the same time it also shows the fierce internal fighting of the CCP.

The article said that the CCP’s current situation cannot be concealed, and there is no effective response. Li Qiang can continue to put Xi Jinping in front and repeat certain passages of "Xi Jinping Thought", but this is equivalent to putting all the responsibility on Xi Jinping. Li Qiang may have been planning to say something different, but Xi Jinping did not give him such a chance.

The article believes that Xi Jinping is afraid of questioning voices. Without a press conference, there seems to be no chance of being questioned. At the same time, Xi must also strictly prevent Li Qiang from becoming Li Keqiang and saying things that are different from his own. He simply does not give Li Qiang such a stage.

The article pointed out that the mutated Two Sessions of the CCP have seen even more mutated operations in 2024, reflecting the extreme uneasiness and guilty conscience of the CCP’s top leaders. A rapidly declining CCP regime is displayed in front of the world regardless of its ugliness, and it also makes the world more aware that the CCP may collapse at any time like the former Soviet Union.

Wang He, an expert on China issues, stated in his article that the Prime Minister’s Press Conference of the Two Sessions, which has been implemented by the CCP for more than 30 years, was suddenly cancelled. The reasons behind it were complex and profound. This also shows the chaos of the current political situation of the Chinese Communist Party. Xi seems to have monopolized power, but there are problems with the allocation of power at the highest level, and the internal strife among the "Xi Family Army" cannot be eliminated. Moreover, anti-Xi forces inside and outside the Party and at home and abroad are gathering secretly, waiting for the opportunity. If Xi’s mixed tactics continue, everything will be lost.

Yang Wei said that Xi is afraid of being questioned, afraid of coups, and afraid of being assassinated.

The CCP cancels the Prime Minister’s press conference, causing an uproar in overseas public opinion

中共取消总理记者会 海外舆论哗然

On 4 March 2024, the Chinese Communist Party announced a bombshell on the first day of the Two Sessions, canceling the Prime Minister’s domestic and foreign press conferences, triggering an uproar in overseas public opinion.

Lou Qinjian, spokesman for the National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China, said on the 4th that the Prime Minister's Press Conference will no longer be held after this year's National People's Congress. Unless there are special circumstances, there will be no Prime Minister's Press Conference in the next few years.

As soon as Lou Qinjian said this, the hundreds of Chinese and foreign reporters present looked at each other and whispered to each other, "Why is this?" This news also triggered an uproar in public opinion at home and abroad, and the transparency of the Chinese Communist government was once again questioned.

The Wall Street Journal said that this decision highlights that Xi Jinping, the leader of the Chinese Communist Party, has made the black box political system more opaque. He has also strengthened his superior position by weakening the visibility of the second-ranking figure in the Chinese Communist Party.

The report quoted Kerry Brown, director of the "Liu China Institute" at King's College London, saying, "Whatever the reason, this move reinforces all the accusations about Beijing's current authoritarian, centralized and closed leadership. It also reflects their view of the current situation. Anxiety and fear about economic challenges and trying to address them with opacity rather than openness."

Current affairs commentators' comments on the cancellation of the Two Sessions' Press Conferences

"Beijing Spring" honorary editor-in-chief Hu Ping told Taiwan's Central News Agency that canceling the prime minister's press conference means the reduction of the status of the Chinese Communist Party premier and the reduction of the openness of the two sessions.

Alfred Wu, associate professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, told the Associated Press: "Because the current structure is that the party leads everything, and the prime minister is more like the executor of the party's orders, so it is no longer that important. This is the main message.”

A Chinese scholar who did not want to be named due to the sensitivity of the matter told VOA that this decision means that the importance of the Premier of the Communist Party of China is no longer, and the significance of the Two Sessions itself has been greatly reduced, leaving it as a mere formality.

He said that the authority of the CCP leaders is increasingly unchallenged. From this perspective, the prime minister’s press conference has become a huge burden, making it difficult for Li Qiang, who has no real power, to shoulder the responsibility.

He believes that China is currently facing internal and external difficulties such as economic depression and international isolation. The CCP is already afraid of the international media. Not only is it unwilling to accept live questions, but it is also unwilling to face pre-arranged questions and answers. Now this kind of Transparency in governance is worse than during the Cultural Revolution.

Wu Yishan, chief consultant of the Malaysian Pacific Research Center in Kuala Lumpur, told VOA that the Chinese Communist government has been increasingly leaning towards the traditional communist line in recent years, and the rulers regard the government transparency and citizens' right to know that democratic countries emphasize as endangering national security. Therefore, he was not surprised by the decision to cancel the Prime Minister's press conference.

Hu Yishan said: "The Communist Party's system pays more attention to a unified propaganda caliber. For example, if relevant departments issue some written statements, from the perspective of the Communist Party, that is enough, and there is no need for a special explanation by the Prime Minister."

Ms. Shi, a Chinese independent media person, told Free Asia that the authorities’ unprecedented cancellation of the prime minister’s press conference reflects that the CCP’s domestic and foreign affairs are in extremely bad shape. Facing reporters, the Chinese Premier has reached the point where he has “nothing to say”.

"Since the three-year epidemic, China's economic decline has been serious. Li Qiang is not in a position to answer various questions from Western reporters, such as the transfer of supply chains, the collapse of real estate companies, the collapse of private enterprises, the increase in unemployment, the aging population, etc. What do you think of these issues? To answer foreign journalists?" Ms. Shi said.

The CCP’s cancellation of the prime minister’s press conference not only caused an uproar among overseas observers, but also surprised officials within the CCP system.

Singapore's newspaper Lianhe Zaobao reported that Xie Feng, the Chinese ambassador to the United States who attended the two sessions, was asked about the cancellation of the Prime Minister's press conference on the afternoon of March 4. He was stunned for a moment, and then reacted and said: "This is the first time I have heard this. (information)."

Huang Jinhui, a member of the Hong Kong Political Consultative Conference, also bluntly said that the news was "weird" and shouted to the Chinese Communists that "it would be better if they explained it."

Well-known writer Yan Chun Gou posted on Facebook, "The cancellation of the Prime Minister's Press Conference is a signal of the end of the Chinese Communist regime. If a country can't even hold a Prime Minister's Press Conference, what future can it expect? Foreign governments are watching this. She can only snicker, and the Chinese people will only sneer in their eyes. Anyway, it’s a pretensious show, and whether she does it or not is none of anyone else’s business.”

On 4 March 2024, after the news of the cancellation of the Prime Minister's Press Conference was announced, there were questions on the Chinese Internet that "there won't even be a show." However, discussions on the topic of "Cancellation of the Prime Minister's Press Conference" were immediately censored, and Sina Weibo also set search filters for related topics.

The practice of holding the Prime Minister's Press Conference after the Two Sessions of the Communist Party of China has been going on for more than 30 years. It is an important platform for Chinese and foreign journalists to directly interact with the Chinese Premier. Former Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Li Keqiang both made shocking remarks at the press conference.

Wen Jiabao once said that without political reform, the historical tragedy of the Cultural Revolution may be repeated.

Li Keqiang disclosed at the 2020 press conference that China currently has 600 million people with a monthly income of only 1,000 yuan. This year is the final year for poverty alleviation proposed by Xi Jinping, leader of the Communist Party of China. Li Keqiang’s remarks triggered widespread discussion from the outside world.

Li Qiang’s expression during the two sessions attracted attention. Netizens: He doesn't want to become Li Keqiang

The National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China officially started on 5 March 2024. The news of Chinese Premier Li Qiang has attracted much attention because the Communist Party of China suddenly announced the cancellation of the Prime Minister's press conference after the two sessions the day before.

That morning, he read out the government work report according to the script. This was also his first government work report during his term in office.

It can be seen from the video footage played at the scene that when Li Qiang entered the venue, he followed the leader of the Communist Party of China Xi Jinping. Li Qiang kept a smile on his face and always kept a distance of about one metre from Xi. After entering the venue and sitting down, he occasionally interacted with Xi simply. When he was talking to Xi Jinping, he leaned away from his seat and leaned over to watch Xi Jinping speak.

In his government work report, Li Qiang mentioned Xi Jinping 16 times, emphasized security 29 times, and also mentioned the "Central Military Commission Chairman Responsibility System" for the first time.

Although Li Qiang kept smiling in front of Xi Jinping that day, it still aroused speculation from the outside world.

Some netizens said that Li Qiang's smile is the best interpretation of "awkward yet polite smile". Some people also believe that Li Qiang continues to weaken his position in order to protect his wealth and life and avoid repeating the tragedy of his predecessor Li Keqiang.

Former Chinese Premier Li Keqiang walked out of the two sessions in March last year, but died suddenly and mysteriously in Shanghai seven months later on 27 October 2023. During his tenure as prime minister, he made many unscripted speeches that embarrassed the top leaders of the CCP.

Li Qiang's government report talks about Taiwan but does not mention "peaceful reunification"

In addition, when Li Qiang mentioned Taiwan in his government work report, his change of wording also attracted attention.

In his report that day, he claimed to "adhere to the one-China principle and the 1992 Consensus... promote the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations and unswervingly advance the great cause of the reunification of the motherland."

Comparing the content of last year's government work report, although the CCP retained the discussion of the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations this year, when talking about cross-Strait reunification, it removed the word "peace" and changed the "peaceful reunification process" used last year to "advance the process of reunification". The great cause of the reunification of the motherland."

At the same time, the report does not have the soft expressions of "both sides of the Taiwan Strait are connected by blood and jointly promote Chinese culture" as in the past.

The CCP has exerted increasing pressure on Taiwan in recent years. It sends military aircraft to invade Taiwan's air defense identification zone almost every day, sends aerial reconnaissance balloons to cross the central line of the Taiwan Strait, and uses scientific research ships or commercial ships to harass the waters surrounding Taiwan.

In addition, according to the CCP’s official budget report released on the same day, the CCP’s military budget this year is approximately 1.67 trillion yuan, with defense spending increasing by 7.2% annually, twice the amount since Xi Jinping took office. In 2013, China's military expenditure was 720 billion yuan.

U.S. Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Avril Lavigne said at the end of last year that the CCP is still committed to reunifying Taiwan, and if it cannot achieve peaceful reunification, it may try to use military means.

Reactions to Li Qiang's position

Some people also believe that Li Qiang continues to weaken his position in order to protect his wealth and life and avoid repeating the tragedy of his predecessor Li Keqiang. Some netizens said, "Li Qiang doesn't want to become Li Keqiang." "Li Qiang doesn't want to sink while swimming."

Li Keqiang withdrew from the two sessions in March last year and handed over the position of Premier of the Chinese Communist Party to Li Qiang. However, seven months later, on 27 October, he died suddenly and mysteriously in Shanghai. The Chinese Communist Party official claimed that Li Keqiang suffered a "heart attack" while resting in Shanghai. There are also reports that he died suddenly while swimming. However, the outside world generally suspects that the cause of his death is related to the infighting among the top leaders of the CCP.

During his tenure as prime minister, Li Keqiang embarrassed the CCP's top brass with many unscripted speeches.

On 28 May  2020, the then Premier of the Communist Party of China Li Keqiang said at a press conference after the National People’s Congress that “600 million people in China earn only 1,000 yuan (RMB) per month”, which aroused widespread public attention. It is also considered to be a direct slap in the face of Xi Jinping, the leader of the Communist Party of China. Prior to this, the Chinese Communist authorities had continuously claimed to achieve "comprehensive poverty alleviation" and "build a moderately prosperous society."

Was it predicted that Li Qiang would be "deposed as prime minister"? A video goes viral on the internet

李強被「廢相」早有預言?一段視頻火爆網絡
Recently, after the Chinese Communist Party’s Two Sessions announced the cancellation of the Prime Minister’s Press Conference, a video insinuating that Chinese Premier Li Qiang was “deposed as Prime Minister” became popular on the Internet. Netizens joked: "Prime Minister Li Qiang's deposedness turned out to be a prediction."

On 5 March 2024, a video was circulated on the overseas social media platform X, which was a clip from the TV series "Zhu Yuanzhang". In the video, "Zhu Yuanzhang" wearing imperial robes said to the ministers kneeling on the ground in the main hall: "I tell you, from now on, we don't want any prime minister anymore. We want to both sit in court and govern the country, directly. In charge of military affairs, direct communication from top to bottom to prevent those prime ministers from causing chaos."

"The Emperor" also asked the minister, "What's the matter, do you think we don't have this ability?"

The minister quickly said flatteringly: "If the emperor has this ability, it is more than enough."

This video suddenly went viral and I can’t block it! pic.twitter.com/ROmp6h0thW

— News Investigation (@xinwendiaocha) March 4, 2024

At a sensitive moment when the Prime Minister's press conference was cancelled, this video insinuating that Premier Li Qiang was "deposed" went viral on social media and has been blocked.

Netizens ridiculed: "Prime Minister Li Qiang was deposed. It turned out to be a prediction." "Qing Ling Zong officially changed his posthumous title to Ming Fei Emperor, haha." "History is always surprisingly similar."

Some netizens said, “This video can no longer be sent to WeChat.”

The self-media "Financial Cold Eyes" analyzed that there may be three major reasons why the Premier of the Communist Party of China Li Qiang was "deposed as prime minister" and the press conference to answer the two sessions was canceled.

One reason is that the late former Prime Minister Li Keqiang once publicly said at a press conference that 600 million people in China earn only 1,000 yuan a month, which was a slap in the face to the so-called poverty alleviation achievements of CCP leader Xi Jinping. Xi is now determined to cancel the Prime Minister’s Press Conference, perhaps because he is afraid of what may happen to such a venue;

Another reason is that the current Prime Minister Li Qiang is basically a minion chosen by Xi. He usually nods and bows behind Xi without having his own opinions. Faced with all kinds of questions at the Prime Minister's press conference, he simply could not handle them. He would cause problems and cause trouble, so he himself was afraid. Moreover, China's economy is currently in a state of flux, with various problems erupting. At this time, no matter what Li Qiang says, it is all wrong and the one taking the blame, so he simply will not say anything;

The third reason is that Xi Jinping does not want Li Qiang to steal the limelight. Now, Xi is the only one in the CCP. No one, including the number two figure Li Qiang, can have a stage for personal performance and steal his limelight, so the Prime Minister's press conference has been cancelled.

"The Chinese Communist Party's sudden cancellation of the Prime Minister's press conference triggered an uproar in overseas public opinion, and the transparency of the Chinese Communist government was once again questioned," Current affairs commentator Cai Shenkun commented on social media

Confronting the Two Sessions of the Communist Party of China, the first "National Conference" of the Overseas Chinese Democracy Movement issued a declaration

对阵中共两会 海外民运首届“国是会议”发宣言
The first China Overseas "State Affairs Conference" concluded last weekend and adopted a political declaration. The initiators of the meeting held a press conference in Washington on 4 March 2024. Wei Jingsheng, a veteran pro-democracy activist, and Wang Juntao, chairman of the National Committee of the China Democratic Party, were interviewed by The Epoch Times after the meeting, discussing the details of the discussions at the state affairs meeting and outlining a blueprint for a new China without the Communist Party.

Overseas pro-democracy movement holds "state affairs conference": The CCP is on the verge of destruction

The first China Overseas “State Affairs Conference”, initiated by veteran overseas democracy activist Wei Jingsheng, leader of the 1989 student movement Wang Dan, and China Democratic National Committee Chairman Wang Juntao, was held in the greater Washington area from 2 to 4 March 2024. Experts, scholars and activists on Chinese democracy and constitutional law from Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and the United States attended the meeting.

On the 4th, pro-democracy activists held a press conference in a conference room of the U.S. Congress and officially announced the establishment of the "China State Council."

The statement said, "As China once again reaches an important crossroads, we hope that the establishment of the 'China National Congress' will play a major role in establishing a democratic system like the Continental Congress at the founding of the United States."

The statement also said, "Our goal is to draw a blueprint for a democratic China after the collapse of the CCP and introduce the whole society to participate in democratic construction. We will discuss how to unite to build a freedom, governance, and sharing for all Chinese people. and strive for a new China with democracy, fairness, justice and the rule of law.”

This overseas "China State Council" was held at the same time as the "Two Sessions" of the Communist Party of China. In an interview with The Epoch Times on 5 March 2024, Wei Jingsheng said that the pro-democracy movement is about confronting the CCP. He said, "(The Chinese Communist Party) held the two sessions, and those officials of the Communist Party could not come up with any way to govern the country and solve the current difficulties; we need to give the Chinese people a blueprint: a democratic China will be able to solve the problems in the future."

Regarding the issue that people's minds have changed but the CCP has not yet collapsed, Wei Jingsheng believes that the time for the CCP's collapse is actually very close.

"The Chinese Communist Party is in trouble both internally and externally. It is in a mess internally, and its external and international relations are also in a mess. Everyone can see this. Xi Jinping can't come up with any ideas, and the Communist Party can't come up with any ideas either. They all come up with some bad ideas. It will speed up the process of the destruction of the Communist Party of China.”

Wang Juntao told The Epoch Times on 5 March 2024 that the background to convening this meeting is that since Xi Jinping took control of the Communist Party and established a dictatorship in China, the CCP regime has experienced internal and external difficulties, and China has an opportunity for democratic transformation.

He said that now people from all walks of life hate Xi Jinpin, but there is no action. Some people are worried that if China really wants to undergo transformation, will it enter a state of chaos or give rise to a new dictatorship? The purpose of convening this national conference is to discuss and solve these problems. The first is to tell everyone that China will be better without the Communist Party and to establish a constitutional democratic system; the second is to discuss how to transition. "The declaration of this meeting summarizes some of the main points and key points in our future construction of China to be considered.”

Consensus discussed at the "National Conference": Non-violent and violent resistance to communism are both reasonable and legal

This meeting reached a consensus on China's future democratic process and the plan for building a democratic China, forming a document called "Overthrow the Chinese Communist Party and Rebuild a Republic." This ten-point political declaration covers China's political structure after the collapse of the CCP, civil resistance, the establishment of a provisional government, the protection of civil rights, the nationalization of the military, the smooth operation of finance and the economy, and the establishment of cooperation with the liberal democratic camp.

Wang Dan, one of the initiators of the "State Council", said when reading the political declaration on the 4th that the government of democratic China must be elected through open, equal and rule-based citizens' elections and govern in accordance with the law. Any government agency imposed on the people without their direct or indirect authorization is tyranny. He said that when the channels for legal change of government are blocked, Chinese citizens have the right to overthrow tyranny.

Regarding the consensus reached at the "State Council", Wei Jingsheng told The Epoch Times that everyone had debates on many issues at the meeting, among which the debate on whether violence could be used was the more intense one, but in the end a consensus was reached.

"(Finally) Everyone feels that whether it is peaceful, rational, non-violent methods or violent resistance methods, they are all reasonable and legal. The chief of staff of the United States Commission on China also mentioned this in his speech, that is, people use any This is people's right to resist. We encourage the people in the country to use various methods to fight against the Communist Party and overthrow the Communist Party."

Wang Juntao also said that overthrowing the tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party is the first priority. "We advocate breaking away from the debate about violent revolution or non-violence, encourage all civilized anti-violent struggles, encourage popular rebellions and coups, and end the tyranny of the Communist Party."

In addition, Wang Juntao also said that based on the consensus reached by everyone, in terms of protecting human rights, the land ownership of farmers and the property rights of entrepreneurs were emphasized, and a reasonable system to protect people's livelihood was established.

Wei Jingsheng said that in the future, China will establish a democratic country that is the same in principle as the major Western democracies but in terms of specific methods, they are more suitable for China's situation.

"For example, it is advocated that farmers all own their own land, which can be bought, sold and inherited, which means that the issue of land ownership must be solved. On the issue of survival, China has hundreds of millions of so-called migrant workers, whose status is lower than that of the urban population. This is not true. Reasonable. It should depend on the equality of everyone. Farmers and urban residents should have the same rights and enjoy the freedom of movement without any discrimination. This may not necessarily exist in the laws of other countries. In short, we must follow the laws of China national conditions to formulate the structure of a new democratic state."

Wang Juntao also mentioned that when the Communist Party collapses, a provisional government should be established to ensure the normal operation of social and economic governance. While purging the Communist Party from government agencies at all levels, it is necessary to immediately receive all the archives of the Communist Party, "because the Communist Party likes to destroy archives and destroy evidence of crime when it is at its end."

Voices from U.S. political circles: What all walks of life in the U.S. need to do is stop funding the tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party

This "State Affairs Conference" has received great attention from American politicians. Mike Gallagher, chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives' Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, and U.S. Democratic Representative Marcy Kaptur, among others, expressed support for the convening of the "State Council".

Piero Tozzi, chief of staff of the U.S. Congressional-Executive Commission on China (CECC), said at a press conference that democratic changes in China need to come from within the Chinese people. "However, there is one thing we can do, what the U.S. Congress, the U.S. government, and U.S. and Western businesses can and must do - stop funding tyranny."

He said: "Another important point is that companies must stop subsidizing (Chinese national) security (projects) and must stop cooperating with Chinese technology companies like Thermo Fisher Scientific. Their DNA technology is used by the Chinese police, that are used to suppress people in Tibet and Xinjiang, and these techniques are even accused of being used for forced organ harvesting. Congress needs to review this."

Zhang Lei, who once said that “the best investment opportunities are in China”, migrated to Singapore

曾称“最好投资机会在中国” 高瓴张磊润到新加坡
Zhang Lei, the founder of the Chinese investment company Hillhouse Capital, was revealed to have become a Singaporean citizen. The "China Buffett" boasted in 2020 that "the best investment opportunities at the moment are in China."

Recently, Mainland China's "Rong Finance" quoted reliable information as saying that Zhang Lei has become a Singaporean citizen. Prior to this, FT Chinese also published a report that "Hillhouse Zhang Lei is naturalized in the Lion City".

According to "China Visitor Network", Hillhouse has quietly withdrawn its Chinese official website at some point and replaced it with an all-English page, and its focus has also shifted to Singapore.

According to reports, news of Hillhouse’s massive layoffs in China in 2022 has spread like wildfire. At the same time, Hillhouse relocated a large number of senior managers to its Singapore office, deepening speculation that Hillhouse will withdraw from China.

Hillhouse's overseas investments in the past two years have all been large-scale, but the reduction of investment scale in China has long been an open secret, and it is clearly reorganizing its Asian business. In 2023, HHLR, a subsidiary of Hillhouse, was investigated by the China Securities Regulatory Commission for reducing its holdings of domestic stocks.

On 21 April  2023, the Governor of Henan hosted the "2023 Global Henan Business Conference". Ten entrepreneurs were commended, one of whom was Zhang Lei but Zhang Lei himself did not attend the conference.

Zhang Lei was accused of holding tens of billions of assets and was once regarded as "China's Buffett". He publicly emphasized in 2020, "The best investment opportunities at the moment are in China, and now is a good opportunity to invest heavily in China."

According to FT Chinese website, many Chinese investors have moved to Singapore in recent years. Shen Nanpeng, founder of Chinese technology investment giant Sequoia, has obtained Singapore PR (permanent resident). Tencent co-founder Zhang Zhidong and ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming also moved to Singapore one after another.

In addition, Haidilao founder Zhang Yong even caused controversy by being named the richest man in Singapore for two consecutive years.

The investment environment in mainland China is getting worse and worse, and the wealth in the hands of the rich is becoming more and more unsafe. Many rich and famous people have fled. North America, Europe, Australia, Japan and South Korea are all chosen by wealthy Chinese immigrants.

The CCP secretly ordered the destruction of all covid epidemic data and directed hospitals to falsify information

Reporters : Xiong Bin and Zhou Tian / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2024/03/05/a103859060.html

The epidemic continues to ravage China. The two sessions of the Communist Party of China being held in Beijing are still conducting nucleic acid tests, but the authorities have begun to secretly destroy epidemic data. Our station learned that the Chinese Communist authorities ordered the destruction of all information about the epidemic, and the local government sent people to instruct local hospitals to fabricate false data.

Mr. Lu, a resident of Hebei Province, revealed to NTDTV on 4 March that about six months ago, local government officials and doctors secretly revealed to relatives and friends that all information about the epidemic had been destroyed.

Mr. Lu, a citizen of Hebei Province: "About September or October last year, people from the district government said that our district was destroying all documents related to epidemic prevention. They pulled 11-carriage trucks and took them to the incinerator to burn them. Then I had A friend's brother works in a hospital, and he also said that hospitals are destroying these materials and evidence on epidemic prevention, epidemic prevention, and treatment, but there are no red-headed documents, so they are destroyed orally."

Mr. Lu also disclosed that after the epidemic prevention was relaxed at the end of 2022, many people died of the epidemic, and the provincial government sent people to local hospitals to guide the fabrication of false data.

Mr. Lu: "Last year, when the epidemic was just beginning and the tsunami hit, so many people left. The crematoriums in various districts and counties were working overtime 24 hours a day. Many incinerators were burned out. People from the province came to the county hospital for so-called guided treatment. asked them what the cure rate is.That brother said the cure rate is zero, but that can’t be said to be zero, just say 20%. The province says it’s too little, so let’s write 50%. Alas! Those things are all fake. It’s meaningless.”

Mr. Lu said that the epidemic has never subsided. Recently, a young colleague suffered from a fever, cold and headache. He went to the hospital and no problem was found. Soon after, he suddenly suffered from cerebral hemorrhage and fell into coma. He was sent to the ICU for several days and was rescued. He was transferred to the general ward and suffered multiple brain infections. He suffered bleeding and became a vegetative state. His family could not afford the medical expenses and gave up treatment. He died at the end of February.

Mr. Lu: "There was a man in his thirties in the unit, about 36 (years old), who was in good health. One afternoon, he suddenly fell into a coma and suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. He was transferred to the hospital in Beijing and was not admitted. Then he was transferred to a hospital in Tianjin. At a relatively famous brain hospital in the north, if it didn't work, they removed the oxygen and it was gone. The locals said it was due to vaccination, but there were many that were not available, and the doctor couldn't say anything."

The epidemic continues to wreak havoc across China. Recently, people in many places have reported that there are still many fevers and colds, and many young and middle-aged people have died suddenly.

Mr. Zhao, a citizen of Xuzhou: "There are too many cerebral infarctions and congestion, and resuscitation is of no use, so we have to leave. I have a few myocardial infarctions. I am over 50 (years old). I just went to bed at night and fell asleep. Several friends were also This is how it goes."

Mr. Zhuo, a citizen of Sichuan: "Adults often cough and have sore throats. (The hospital) is crowded. We buy medicine and take it. If you have a cold, you will die after playing mahjong in your forties."

At the beginning of the Year of the Dragon, the CCP falls into Tacitus’ trap and is unable to extricate itself

Editor :Shang Yan / Reporter : Luo Ya / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2024/03/05/a103859133.html

If the regime loses credibility, no matter what it says or does, society will give it a negative evaluation. This is called the "Tacitus Trap" in political science. In 2014, the party leader quoted this term when he visited Lankao County, Henan Province, and believed that he had not yet reached this stage but as we enter the Year of the Dragon, all signs show that the CCP is already deeply involved.

Pierre-Antoine Donnet, a French expert and writer on East Asian issues, recently interviewed a woman who had just arrived in France and was familiar with the political situation of the CCP. The inside information she revealed showed that the CCP authorities were trapped in the Tacitus trap.

Sources say the "situation is critical" and everyone is scared and no longer trusted. The financial crisis has resulted in one fifth of civil servants in provinces and cities outside Beijing not receiving their salaries. There is no problem in Beijing. Taking Wenzhou as an example, the problem is serious. The situation in Sichuan is even worse.

She also said that the children of senior leaders at all levels, from deputy ministers to senior leaders, have either left or are preparing to leave China. Many children of high-ranking officials, "princes and princesses from second-generation red families", have lost confidence. In China, people with large amounts of money no longer deposit their money in banks because they have also lost confidence in banks.

The source also revealed that criticism of Xi Jinping abounds because "it is clear that the authorities are hiding the truth and lying." "I have heard some senior financial officials say that it is necessary to declare the country bankrupt. Real GDP growth is currently below 3%, a far cry from the official figure of 5.2% in 2023! In fact, it has returned to the level of the Cultural Revolution era in the 1960s ".

Wang Juntao, chairman of the China Democratic Party, said that Chinese people are indeed increasingly disappointed with the party leader and no longer believe in him.

Wang Juntao, Chairman of the China Democratic Party: "Let's take the stock market as an example. From the end of last year to the beginning of this year, China's stock market was in a mess, while stock markets around the world were very good. But even so, Xi Jinping is still pretending to be fat and confusing right and wrong when talking about China. China's situation is good, but the situation of others is not. I think the Chinese people know this very well and are very dissatisfied with it. You can see that many people are coming out, but basically no one is optimistic about China's economy."

However, the Chinese Communist authorities seem not to be aware of the crux of the problem, let alone prescribe the right remedy.

Wang Juntao: "He now also knows that people have no confidence in the economy, so he always says that it seems that China's economy is not bad because of his poor leadership, but because people have no confidence in the economy. But he doesn't want to think about why others don't have confidence? It’s because he destroyed the entire Chinese economy and China’s future.”

The CCP is deeply trapped in Tacitus’ trap, but in turn, the party leader does not believe the people. He is more worried about political security than the economy, and has continuously introduced the Counterespionage Law, the Patriotism Education Law, the National Security Law, and the Law on Keeping State Secrets to control the people. At the same time, he did not trust the cronies around him and constantly asked them to show their unparalleled loyalty and learn from his own thoughts.

Why has the lack of trust between the Chinese people and the authorities reached this level?

Sheng Xue, a Chinese-Canadian writer: "Why is China in such a situation today? Because no matter how hard the CCP is in any field, in fact it has not made any changes in two aspects. That is, all efforts will end in the end." It's all just clouds. It refuses to end its one-party autocratic system, and it refuses to accept the universal principle of liberal democracy, human rights, and constitutionalism. So everything that happens in this situation is logical."

Sheng Xue, a Chinese-Canadian writer, said that the situation in China today should be viewed from three directions.

Sheng Xue: "The rule of the CCP is trapped in many difficulties, and these difficulties can almost be said to be impossible for it to solve on its own. In fact, it should be said that it is too late; secondly, the public sentiment is boiling. If we only rely on our own emotions, No matter what extent such resistance reaches, it is almost impossible to fundamentally and directly change the current situation of China as a whole; then the third is the external pressure from the entire international community. If external pressure continues to put pressure on the CCP, Then it may be possible to force it to make adjustments.”

The source believes that no one in China wants violence. "Even if China today is a pressure cooker about to explode, they don't want violence. As for Xi Jinping's future, who knows?" The general feeling is that there is an urgent need to return to the Chinese nation. The roots of identity, its ancient traditions have been destroyed by communist ideology.

Massive arrests during the CCP’s Two Sessions left many people missing

Reporters : Chen Jie, Xiong Bin and Gao Yu / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2024/03/05/a103859063.html

The Chinese Communist Party's Two Sessions opened on 4 March 2024. The authorities were facing a formidable enemy and had resorted to various arrest methods as early as a month or two ago. Many people are still out of touch.

The legal house of Wuxi resident Ma Zhaoliang was violently demolished by the local government more than two years ago. He revealed that he has been tracked and monitored before the two sessions until now, and some Wuxi residents are still out of touch.

Ma Zhaoliang, a resident of Wuxi: "The Two Sessions are about to be held. Starting from the 23rd of last month, people from the police stations in our region have been sent, and the special police are also joining their ranks to follow and monitor us. Zhu Zhengming from Wuxi has lost contact. He Instead of going to Beijing, he went to Suzhou and was intercepted by them. As of today, there is no information and contact has been lost. Around the 28th, Chen Fengdi in Wuxi also lost contact. She went out to the Southern Song Dynasty. After being intercepted by them, contact was lost. .”

According to news from the petitioner circle, Wu Jufang, a petitioner from Nanjing, went to Beijing on February 18. She complained to the National Bureau of Letters and Calls that her reasonable demands had been violated. As a result, she was criminally detained and later released on bail pending trial. Currently, the government arranges social personnel to keep an eye on her and prevent her from traveling freely. Wu Jufang said that this constituted the crime of illegal detention.

Recently, many unidentified persons blocked the door of Nantong citizen Shen Jianfang's home, preventing him from traveling. After calling the police, the matter was resolved. As a result, Shen Jianfang's husband was deliberately pressed against the wall by these people when he went downstairs, causing his ribs to fracture. He was not allowed to be sent to the hospital, and was eventually sent to a health center. Currently, this group of people is still guarding the door of Shen Jianfang's house, preventing him from leaving.

Shen Jianfang, a citizen of Nantong, Jiangsu: "It started on the night of 2 March. About ten people, whom I didn't know, all of whom were young men, broke two of my husband's ribs. Li Jun, our political and legal committee member, led these gangs When the 110 bus arrived at the scene, we were not allowed to take the car to the hospital. Later, they sent us to the town health center. Because he was weak and in extreme pain, surgery was not possible and he could only lie down at home. They controlled us We are not allowed to leave this room, and the quilt they made is placed at the door of our room at night."

In the evening of 2 March, petitioner Yin Dengzhen from Shiyan City, Hubei Province was taking a bus in Beijing and was forcibly detained by the Xicheng District Baizhifang Police Station near Liuli Bridge. The phone was intercepted by the police, and no one answered the phone, so the phone is currently out of contact.

It is also reported that Li Xiaodong, a citizen of Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province, was beaten by the Liaoyang team stationed in Beijing before the Chinese New Year and suffered rib fractures. He said that there will be results of the injury after the new year and he must be reported to the Yancun Police Station of the Fangshan Branch of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau for forensic evaluation. At night of 1 March 2024, Li Xiaodong informed his friends that he had gone to Beijing to submit an injury report today. In the morning of 2 March, a deputy secretary accompanied him on the train at 7 am but he had been out of contact and did not know what happened.

Nucleic acid testing reappears in the two sessions of the Communist Party of China, and the CPPCC meeting is only 6 days away, causing concern

Reporter : Luo Tingting / Editor : Zhu Xinrui / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2024/03/04/a103858622.html /Image : The Two Sessions of the Communist Party of China starts on 4 March 4024. The session of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference has been shortened to 6 days again. Journalists still need to undergo nucleic acid tests, which has attracted attention from the outside world. On March 2, 2024, a reporter took a video at the two sessions. (Wang Zhao/AFP)

The Two Sessions of the Communist Party of China will start on March 4, and the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference will be shortened to 6 days again. Journalists still need to undergo nucleic acid testing, which has attracted attention from the outside world.

The two sessions are shortened again, reporters do nucleic acid tests in advance

In the afternoon of 3 March 2024, Liu Jieyi, spokesperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, announced at a press conference that this year's CPPCC meeting will start on the 4th and end on the 10th, and the session period will be shortened to six days again. In normal years before the epidemic, most CPPCC meetings lasted about 10 days. This shows that the length of the two sessions this year has not returned to the length before the epidemic.

This meeting is the first to focus on on-site interviews after the relaxation of epidemic control. The Two Sessions News Center was launched on 27 February. According to official statistics, more than 3,000 media reporters have signed up to cover the two sessions, including more than 1,000 journalists from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan and foreign journalists.

Although closed-loop management was canceled during the two sessions this year, reporters still need to be tested for COVID-19, and the tests are arranged uniformly by the Beijing authorities.

Sing Tao Daily reported that reporters went to the Jianguo Hotel in Beijing on March 2 and could only receive press passes after completing nucleic acid tests within the specified time. It is unclear how many nucleic acid tests will be required during the two sessions.

Many foreign reporters are privately wondering why Beijing will still conduct nucleic acid testing in 2024.

Current affairs commentator Li Lin told The Epoch Times a day ago that since the outbreak of the CCP virus at the end of 2019, the duration of the CCP’s Two Sessions has generally become shorter. This year's two sessions are still shortened, and one of the reasons is the serious epidemic.

"Although the CCP does not report it, everyone knows that the epidemic is still very serious in mainland China, and white lung and other phenomena are common. In this case, the meeting period will of course be shorter." Li Linyi said.

After the Chinese New Year holiday, the Beijing CDC reported on 22 February 2024 that the Beijing Flu and the covid epidemic are currently co-circulating, and the number of covi infections is rising rapidly. Patients are requested not to go to work or school while sick.

Mr. Wu, a Beijing citizen, recently revealed to The Epoch Times that hospitals in Beijing are still overcrowded, and the emergency rooms of hospitals are now overcrowded, with both elderly and young patients.

Beijing netizen "Lao Yang" posted a video of his visit to Beijing Xuanwu Hospital on 29 February 2024. He said that he came to Xuanwu Hospital again for medical treatment. At 2.30 pm, there were still so many people in the hall. There are also a lot of people at the toll booth for picking up numbers. There are many people in the place where you can get medicine after paying the fee.

Wei Wei, who works as a medical escort in Beijing, posted a video on 26 February 2024: "Don't go to Beijing Children's Hospital to see a doctor easily! There are so many people on the first day of school!"

Mr. Wang, a Beijing citizen, recently told NTDTV that the epidemic has never left us. "Now the epidemic situation is not getting better, but is getting a little more serious. A friend who was under 50 years old had white lung. For about a week or so, he kept coughing and catching a cold, and even taking some medicine didn't help. Then after going to the hospital, The white lung spread over a large area, and then he passed away."

Mr. Wang said that many people around him have been diagnosed with influenza, but the medicines prescribed by doctors are all medicines specifically designed to treat covid, which has become a sensitive word.

Li Linyi analyzed that another reason why the two sessions were shortened again was that the Third Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was difficult to deliver and there were many internal conflicts. China's economy is not in good shape, and the Two Sessions happen to be the official so-called "advice" meeting. The longer the meeting lasts, the more likely it is that representatives and committee members of the two sessions will take the opportunity to vent their dissatisfaction.

He said that the reason why the two sessions ended early was also due to the consideration of maintaining stability within the authorities. However, in the current situation where the CCP is facing internal and external troubles, the officialdom’s true view of the party leader and his policies may not necessarily be possible even if they want to maintain stability.

Security at the two sessions in Beijing is extremely strict

This National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference is attended by about 5,000 representatives and members. At present, provincial delegations have arrived in Beijing one after another. There are many police, armed police and other security personnel on guard in Beijing's Chang'an Street and Wangfujing area.

Security around Tiananmen Square, where the National People’s Congress and National People’s Congress is located, is tighter than in previous years. There are checkpoints at intersections, police are on guard, and pedestrians who want to enter need to swipe their ID cards.

The number of armed police patrols has also increased significantly, and the number of plainclothes officers in front of Xinhua Gate in Zhongnanhai has more than doubled. Pedestrians have their backpacks checked and interrogated at random.

"Chaoyang Crowds" wearing red coats also patrolled the outer areas in groups, monitoring every move of passers-by.

What signal does Qin Gang's "resignation" as a deputy to the National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China send?

Reporters : Tang Rui, Luo Ya /  https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2024/02/28/a103857268.html

The whereabouts of Qin Gang, the former Foreign Minister of the Communist Party of China, has been a mystery since his disappearance. On 27 February 2024, the Chinese Communist Party officially announced that Qin Gang had "resigned" from his position as a representative of the National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China, causing concern.

An announcement issued by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China on Tuesday showed that seven people including Li Zhizhong, deputy commander of the Central Theater Command of the Communist Party of China, were dismissed from their posts as deputies to the 14th National People's Congress; four people including Qin Gang, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China, "resigned" from their posts as deputies to the National People's Congress.

The dismissal of Li Zhizhong and others shows that the purge in the military has not stopped. The announcement claimed that the Tianjin Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee decided to accept Qin Gang's resignation, but did not explain the reason for his resignation.

Qin Gang is the youngest deputy state-level official promoted by the current leader of the Communist Party of China. But he suddenly disappeared in late June last year, and was subsequently removed from his posts as Foreign Minister and State Councilor of the Communist Party of China. Rumors of his dismissal and disappearance were rampant, and there were even reports that Qin Gang was executed internally for allegedly leaking military secrets to the West, but the information could not be confirmed.

Before the two sessions of the Communist Party of China, the authorities suddenly announced that Qin Gang had so-called "resigned" as a deputy to the National People's Congress. However, unlike other fallen officials, he was directly "removed". It was accused of being of a different nature and sending a signal.

Epoch Times columnist Wang He said, "It's just a matter of making a big deal out of him and giving him a light sentence, so the whole process is handled more cautiously, and the process is relatively slow."

What has also attracted outside attention is that Li Shangfu, the former Minister of National Defense of the Communist Party of China who disappeared last year after Qin Gang and was dismissed from his post, still retains his qualifications as a representative of the National People's Congress. However, the official website of the Ministry of National Defense of the Communist Party of China has recently removed Li Shangfu’s position as a member of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China from the list. According to usual practice, winning this position needs to be confirmed at a plenary session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Chen Pokong, a political commentator based in the United States: "The latest news about Li Shangfu and Qin Gang not only revealed their current situation, whereabouts and fate, but also revealed that the Third Plenary Session of the CCP Central Committee is probably being held secretly, or has already been held secretly."

Ding Shufan, emeritus professor at the Institute of East Asian Studies at National Chengchi University: "In the past ten years, Xi Jinping has grasped all the power in his hands. If you have power, you must have responsibility. In other words, everything happened to the people he appointed. I actually think this matter will also be harmful to Xi Jinping’s prestige.”

Analysts believe that this shows that the Chinese Communist Party’s political situation is unstable and is in trouble.

Chen Pokong said, "The political situation under Xi Jinping's administration is now unstable, with accidents happening everywhere and leaks happening everywhere. After the 20th National Congress, the political situation experienced dramatic turmoil. The military was turbulent, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was turbulent, the Ministry of National Defense was turbulent, and then domestic and foreign affairs were in violent turmoil."

Philippines releases video accusing Chinese Coast Guard ship of ramming into Philippine ship, firing water cannon and injuring people

CCP China and the Philippines are in conflict again in the South China Sea. The Philippine side also released a video of the scene, accusing the Chinese Communist coast guard ship of ramming a Philippine supply ship and firing water cannons, injuring four people.

On Tuesday (5 March 2024), Philippine Coast Guard officer Jay Tarriela posted on the actions put the lives of Filipinos at risk.

The Philippines pointed out that a Chinese Communist Coast Guard ship used high-pressure water cannon on a Philippine supply ship that was on duty at Second Thomas Shoal, shattering the windshield of the ship and causing minor injuries to four Filipino crew members. The supply ship was damaged and forced to return to the Philippines. Other supply ships continued their mission.

The video released by Tariela showed that two Chinese coast guard ships chased and intercepted a Philippine supply ship and fired water cannons to attack it. Philippine supply ships were forced to continually take cover.

In another post, Tariela accused two ships that went to Second Thomas Shoal to support military supply operations but were blocked by Chinese coast guard and militia ships. CCP China's reckless and illegal actions caused a collision between a Philippine ship and a Chinese Coast Guard ship, causing minor structural damage to the Philippine ship.

Videos and photos released by Tarijela showed that a green-deck ship and a blue-deck ship crossed the channel and were approaching, but both sides refused to give in and neither changed their course. It was not until the last moment that both sides began to evade. The blue-deck ship hurriedly stopped, and the green-deck ship even began to reverse. But it was still a little late. The sides of the two ships collided slightly, and then quickly separated.

Gan Yu, spokesman for the Chinese Coast Guard, said that two Philippine coast guard ships and two supply ships "trespassed" into the waters near Ren'ai Reef that day. The Chinese coast guard "acted on a ship carrying necessary living supplies to the Philippines out of humanitarian considerations." Temporary Special Arrangements”.

After the incident, the U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson immediately issued a letter condemning the CCP. "The United States stands with the Philippines and supporters of international law in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific," she said on the X platform.

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said on Monday that despite rising tensions between the Philippines and CCP China, the Philippines will still cooperate with CCP China. However, he emphasized that if the Philippines' sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction in the South China Sea are ignored, the Philippines will fight back.

CCP China and the Philippines have long had territorial disputes over Ren'ai Reef. The Philippines stranded a warship on Second Thomas Shoal in the early years and regularly rotated and supplied the soldiers stationed on the warship. CCP accuses the Philippines of illegal occupation and has repeatedly blocked Philippine supply ships.

In December 2023, the Philippines accused a Chinese coast guard ship of spraying water cannons at close range and ramming Philippine supply ships and escort ships, causing serious damage to the engine of one of the ships.

15 U.S. states and one overseas territory held primaries on "Super Tuesday" on 6 March 2024 local time. Trump swept almost all Republican primary results. His only opponent in the party was former South Carolina Governor Haley. Nikki Haley has only won Vermont so far, and Trump has a very strong chance of winning the Republican nomination to run for president.

According to comprehensive foreign media reports, the results of the "Super Tuesday" primaries are out. In the Democratic primary, US President Biden, who is seeking re-election, won Iowa, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Maine, and Massachusetts. In 15 states including Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, California, Vermont, and Utah. Only in American Samoa, Biden's unexpected loss to 52-year-old businessman Jason Palmer did not affect his re-election momentum.

In the Republican primaries, Trump won a resounding victory and has been confirmed to win Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Out of 12 states including Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and California, Haley only won Vermont, and votes are still being cast in Utah and Alaska.

As the situation of the second showdown between Biden and Trump gradually became clear, the two began to turn their fire on each other. When Trump delivered his victory speech at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, he questioned Biden's immigration policies, lambasted him as the "worst president" in history, and said "our cities are filled with immigrant crime."

Biden once again viewed Trump as a threat to American democracy, emphasizing in a statement: "Tonight's results leave the American people with a clear choice: Do we move forward, or allow Trump to drag us into his term?" In the chaos, division and darkness within?”

As for Trump's opponent in the party, Haley, she did not make a public appearance after another setback on Super Tuesday, and her campaign team did not arrange any follow-up activities. The Haley campaign issued a statement stating that Haley is honored to be the first person to win the election, the first Republican woman who ran in two presidential primaries.

参议员呼吁美国媒体与中共喉舌断绝关系

On Monday (4 March 2024), U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (Republican of Florida) and Chuck Guerra Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) jointly sent a letter to the CEOs of nine U.S. media companies, calling on them to completely cut off ties with China Daily, a newspaper run by the CCP.

In the letter, the two senators urged nine media outlets to "cease cooperation with China Daily, an English-language newspaper owned and operated by the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee."

The nine media companies include the Seattle Times, the Houston Chronicle, the Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, TIME, USA Today, the Financial Times, the Sun Sentinel and the Chicago Tribune.

All nine media outlets are currently receiving funding from China Daily.

The letter mentioned that a few years ago, according to the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) documents, some American media companies not only repeatedly violated FARA’s reporting requirements, but also accepted “hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars” from China Daily. US dollars” of funds, and China Daily also made headlines. In response, many American media outlets severed ties with China Daily but these nine media outlets continued to go their own way.

According to the latest FARA disclosures, these nine media outlets received a combined total of more than $500,000 in advertising revenue and printing fees in 2023.

Senator Rubio described on his official website, "China Daily is a Chinese Communist Party propaganda publication for English-speaking readers. It actively cooperates with American news organizations to spread the Chinese Communist Party's lies."

"The CCP's infiltration of U.S. institutions is widespread, and news organizations are not immune," the senators wrote in the letter. "China Daily is one of the CCP's primary institutions used to subvert U.S. news media by promoting its goals and ambitions."

The annual Two Sessions of the Communist Party of China have begun. According to the government work report released on Tuesday (5 March 2024), the Communist Party of China plans to increase spending on scientific and technological research by 10% in 2024, reaching 370.8 billion yuan (approximately US$51.5 billion).

Today, the Chinese Communist Party authorities are facing very serious problems in economic, technological and other aspects, including how to deal with the strong curbs on its technological development by the United States and its allies, such as sanctions on chips and artificial intelligence.

Recently, the Biden administration has taken three major measures against the CCP within a week: announcing an executive order to protect Americans’ personal data from being stolen by hostile countries, including the CCP; imposing restrictions on connected vehicles using Chinese technology launched an investigation into potential security threats; and imposed sanctions on Chinese entities supporting Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.

After the Biden-Harris administration announced sanctions against Chinese entities, the European Council followed up by also announcing sanctions against Chinese entities. These sanctions demonstrate that the United States and its allies are working together to contain the CCP.

China's semiconductor industry is facing increasing difficulties and is already struggling. Local chipmakers in China have difficulty obtaining the equipment they need, while AI developers and researchers lack access to Nvidia's advanced chips, which have become critical for training and running AI models, especially large generative ones and one of the standard equipment of artificial intelligence models.

According to Bloomberg, observers have noticed that the Chinese Communist Party’s government work report emphasizes key areas such as advanced technology and new energy, including the electric vehicle ecosystem, more than before. The report also places greater emphasis on cultivating talent to power so-called "new productivity" including cutting-edge science.

At the end of January, the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI obtained legal authorization to successfully paralyze the hacker organization "Volt Typhoon" supported by the Chinese Communist Party authorities through remote control. The hacker group has extensively attacked critical U.S. infrastructure since 2021, including the U.S. military base in Guam, as well as industries such as communications, manufacturing, transportation, construction and education.

William Yu, an economist at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), said in an interview with NTDTV, “In the confrontation between China and the United States, especially the competition in science and technology, especially the United States is very worried that China (the Communist Party of China) using these high-technological development of high-end chips and its application in the military will cause U.S. national security concerns. Therefore, the United States is gradually strengthening (restrictions on) the export of U.S. technology, raw materials, components, and parts and equipment to China."
