President-elect and Vice President Lai Ching-te was selected into Time magazine's "Top 100 Most Influential People (TIME100)" article in 2024, that was composed by the former U.S. Ambassador to Russia, former Republican presidential candidate, and former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman. In the article, he mentioned that the cross-strait situation has led to rising risks, and Lai's future decisions will affect the international situation and the development of democracy in Asia. International leaders also selected include Philippine President Marcos Jr. and others.

Huntsman mentioned in his recommendation article that Lai Ching-te is the son of a miner and a public health expert graduated from Harvard University. He has always valued problem solving and trusting relationships. Ensuring the health of Taiwan's 23 million people is only one of Lai's tasks. He must also work in China. Under pressure, teh Lai administration bear the responsibility of safeguarding the longevity of the government.

Huntsman pointed out that Taiwan's civil society is booming, and prosperous trade has made Taiwan the supplier of most high-end chips in the world. However, the cross-strait situation has also led to rising risks; in the future, Lai Ching-te's decisions will affect the international situation and democracy in Asia.

Foreigners analyzed the implications of Lai Ching-te's selection from three aspects. In terms of Taiwan-US relations, the article recommended by Republican presidential candidate Huntsman is of great significance. Huntsman is one of the few politicians in the American political circle who straddles the Republican and Democratic parties. During the term of President Obama, he served as ambassador to China, and then Trump continued to serve as ambassador to Russia. He has visited Taiwan many times and is regarded as an Asia expert in U.S. politics. Huntsman recommended Lai Ching-te and called him Taiwan’s next President, demonstrating that Lai Ching-te’s support in American politics also transcends party politics.

In terms of foreign affairs, foreigners said that during the election, Lai Ching-te promised voters that he would lead Taiwan to the world. Being selected as one of the top 100 influential people shows that he will be able to continue President Tsai Ing-wen's international attention and let the international community continue to pay attention to Taiwan's democracy and Taiwan Strait security in order to further strengthen international cooperation. Before the election, Lai proposed the "Four Pillars of Peace Action Plan" which was well received. How Lai will continue to steadily lead Taiwan to the world in response to geopolitics in the rapidly changing international situation in the future is highly anticipated by all walks of life.

On domestic political issues, this also highlights the core differences between the Democratic Progressive Party and the Kuomintang. Former President Ma Ying-jeou and the chief convenor of the Kuomintang League of the Legislative Yuan Fu Kunqi visited China one after another. This is a concrete symbol of the Kuomintang's disconnection from the international community and its tendency to lean towards China; in 2021, the Kuomintang  Party Chairman Jiang Qichen was named to the list of the 100 Most Influential People, Time magazine did not forget to mention that the Kuomintang has long insisted that Taiwan and mainland China are the same country. This view is welcomed by Beijing, but it is frowned upon by young Taiwanese who are eager to create their own path. In more distant contrast, Lai Ching-te's recommendation article emphasizes Taiwan's impact on Asian democracy.

The person emphasized that Lai Ching-te's selection not only represents a personal honor, but also an achievement of the entire country (Republic of China). This year's Taiwan election has attracted international attention. Lai Ching-te is also the first vice-president to successfully run for president, proving the failure of China's election and symbolizing Taiwan's social choices. The national line of democracy, freedom and peace is consistent with the attitude of the international democratic camp. Lai Ching-te was elected as a quasi-president. The international community expects that he will break new ground based on Tsai Ing-wen's eight years in power. He will also represent the efforts of all Chinese people to jointly maintain regional stability and move towards democratic prosperity, and has received recognition and attention from the international community.

After returning from his visit to China, former President Ma Ying-jeou urged the Kuomintang to amend the anti-infiltration law, and the Kuomintang also echoed the idea. Lai Ching-te, chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party and president-elect, said at the Central Committee's regular meeting in the afternoon that the common trend among democratic countries is to jointly resist the expansion of authoritarianism. The anti-infiltration law prevents malicious infiltration by foreign forces and does not hinder any exchanges. The blue camp's advocacy will harm Taiwan and the regional stability and peace. He urged Kuomintang to carefully consider the impact on national security.

Lai Ching-te pointed out that last week the United States, Japan, and the Philippines held a heads of state summit in Washington. The initiatives and multiple treaty updates announced after the meeting not only strengthened security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, but also reaffirmed their commitment to regional peace and stability. He was grateful and agreed with what Prime Minister Kishida said: "One-sided attempts to change the status quo through force or coercion are absolutely unacceptable wherever they are." Facing the expansion of authoritarian forces, we need the unity of the democratic camp more than ever. .

Lai Ching-te pointed out that as a country that loves freedom and democracy in the Indo-Pacific region, the Republic of China (Taiwan)’s responsibility is to maintain the status quo, promote prosperity, protect peace, and be a force for good in the world. He is happy to see guarantees and cooperation for regional stability. Taiwan will continue to contribute efforts and strengthen cooperation with allies to ensure regional peace and stability.

Lai Ching-te  said that the common trend among democratic countries is to jointly resist the expansion of authoritarian forces. However, after former President Ma returned from his visit to China, the Kuomintang immediately advocated amending the anti-infiltration law, and the Kuomintang group in the Legislative Yuan also responded by amending relevant laws. Lai emphasized that in fact, the relevant laws are to prevent malicious infiltration by foreign forces and do not hinder any exchanges, commerce, and academic exchanges. The Kuomintang's proposition will obviously harm the stability and peace of Taiwan and the region. The Kuomintang is asked to carefully consider the impact on national security.

Finally, Lai mentioned that with the announcement of the new cabinet personnel, the new government has many things to implement, and the Standing Committee and the Party Department should also ask for more support for the administrative team.

Xi Jinping actually "grows taller" during his second meeting with Ma Ying-jeou! Akio Yaita: Remembering Kim Jong-un back then

Former President Ma Ying-jeou visited China at the beginning of this month. On the 10th, he and Chinese Communist President Xi Jinping held the "Ma and Xi Second Meeting" at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Some netizens compared the photos of the two people in the same frame at the 2015 meeting between Ma and Xi in Singapore and found that Xi Jinping's "silent growth" of 8 to 10 centimeters has aroused heated discussions, with many people suspecting that he secretly wore height-increasing shoes. Akio Yaita, director of the Taipei branch of Japan's "Sankei Shimbun", could not help but be sour: "Xi Jinping wants to appear taller than Ma Ying-jeou out of a sense of inferiority. Is he afraid that he won't be able to outdo Ma? He has to wear a pair of high-soled shoes before he comes out. No way. Needless to say, Xi Jinping is too unpopular as a politician.”

Akio Yaita posted on Facebook at night of 17 April 2024 that he saw the Chinese Communist official media released photos of Xi Jinping and Ma Ying-jeou shaking hands a few days ago. After checking the photos of the Ma Ying-jeou meeting in Singapore in 2015, he found that the two people were about the same height but now Xi Jinping is taller than a horse. The two people's publicly announced heights are both 178 cm. "Did Xi Jinping grow another 10 cm in the past few years when he is nearly 70 years old?"

He continued: "This is of course impossible. Therefore, the reason that can be reasonably explained is that before meeting Ma Ying-jeou, Xi Jinping secretly put on a pair of high-soled shoes that were about 10 cm high. In authoritarian countries, leaders try to stand out in order to stand out. It is common for people to secretly wear high-soled shoes because of their "tall and majestic" image. What is still talked about is that scene in June 2018, General Secretary Kim Jong-un of the Workers' Party of Korea met with US President Trump in Singapore."

"According to public information, Trump is about 190 cm tall, while Kim Jong-un is about 170 cm tall. However, when Kim Jong-un entered the venue, the whole world was surprised because everyone saw that Kim Jong-un was only shorter than Trump. It's just a little bit. It doesn't look like there is a 20 cm height difference between the two. However, photographers from the world's media have discovered that Kim Jong-un's walking posture is not very natural, as if a woman is wearing a pair of ill-fitting high heels. . Later, based on analysis of photos and videos, it was said that Kim Jong-un wore a pair of high-soled shoes that were about 14 cm tall."

Akio Yaita said bluntly, "In a democratic country, this kind of operation is impossible. Even in a dictatorship, if it is a confident leader, it will not do this. For example, Deng Xiaoping is about 150 cm tall, but when he met foreign guests, I never saw him caring about his height. He still showed off with ease. Does Xi Jinping want to appear taller than Ma Ying-jeou out of an inferiority complex? Is he afraid that he will not be able to outdo Ma Ying-jeou? . It must be said that Xi Jinping is too unpopular as a politician.”

At the age of 70, Xi Jinping has grown taller than expected? Netizens compare back and forth to expose "state secrets"

The height of the 70-year-old leader of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping, has been reported by Chinese media in the past. His height is estimated to be about 180 cm. Although it has not been confirmed by the Chinese government, relevant information is still widely circulated online. pass. However, an eagle-eyed netizen recently pointed out that after comparing photos from two "Ma Xi meetings", he found that Xi Jinping eight years ago was as tall as Ma Ying-jeou, who was 178 cm tall, but this year he is much taller than Ma Ying-jeou. As soon as the article was published, it also aroused heated discussion.

On the 12th and 14th, the social platform "X" (formerly Twitter) account "Wall Country Absurd Words" posted a series of posts on the recent "Ma Xi meeting" held in Beijing. The contents all pointed out that he discovered that he was already 70 years old. Xi Jinping, his "height" has actually "grown again" after 8 years. "Wall Country Absurd Characters" first pointed out that Xi Jinping's actual height is a "state secret" and the data available on the Internet are all figures that have not been confirmed by the Chinese government.

"Wall Country Absurd Words" revealed that some British netizens used pictures of Xi Jinping posing with other leaders and other leaders posing with celebrities to conduct comprehensive comparisons. The British netizen added that the height information of many leaders and celebrities is public, and his final comparison concluded that Xi Jinping's actual height is 178 centimeters; "Wall Country's Absurd Character" deduced that according to Xi's Personality, you will definitely wear height-increasing shoes, which means your true height will be lower.

"Wall Country's Absurd Words" took as an example the photo published by the Chinese media "People's Daily" when Xi Jinping met with Taiwan's then President Ma Ying-jeou at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore in November 2015. He pointed out that the photo clearly showed that from the hairline, Judging from the horizontal lines drawn on the eyes, lips, chin, etc., the two figures are the same height. The public information of Ma Ying-jeou's multiple physical examinations shows that his height is 178 centimeters. "This means that 8 years ago, the 62-year-old Xi Jinping was only 178 centimeters tall even if he wore height-increasing shoes."

"The Absurd Character of the Wall Country" then compared the photos and videos of Ma Ying-jeou's meeting with Xi Jinping in the "East Hall" of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing when he went to China in April this year eight years later. It turned out that the two people were originally the same height. , but it turns out that Xi Jinping is much taller than Ma Ying-jeou, about 8 to 10 centimeters taller.

In this regard, "Absurd Characters from the Wall Country" pointed out that the 62-year-old Xi Jinping should not grow in reverse, let alone grow at an average rate of more than 1 centimeter per year. Therefore, the only conclusion that can be drawn is that Xi Jinping is trying to highlight his height. As a national leader, his image has been enhanced by the height-increasing shoes. "A leader who even fakes his height. Everything about him and the party he leads is untrustworthy! They can't even punctuate what they say." letter!"

This is a photo taken in 1973. Xi Jinping was 20 years old. If Xi Jinping is "about 1.80 meters" tall as the official media said, then the people standing next to him at that time were all tall people about 1.80 meters? Yu Maochun predicts the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and Taiwan. Analysis: Xi Jinping cannot shake off the nightmare

Editor : Tang Zheng / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2024/04/18/a103872248.html / Image : Yu Maochun, former China Policy Advisor of the U.S. State Department. (Song Bilong/The Epoch Times)

余茂春预告美台建交 分析:习挥不去噩梦
Former U.S. State Department China Policy Advisor Yu Maochun recently told Taiwanese media that now is the time to promote the major issue of establishing diplomatic relations between the United States and Taiwan. Senior media person Yan Chungou analyzed that once the United States and Taiwan establish diplomatic relations, the leader of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping, will "bow" and step down. This will be a nightmare that will linger for Xi Jinping in the next few years.

On 17 April 2024, Yan Chungou posted on Facebook that Yu Maochun served as the chief adviser to the U.S. Secretary of State on China policy planning in the Trump administration. His words have a lot of background. At the same time, when Trump  talked about US-China relations at a campaign rally, he said "I will punish you as you do to me." This means that if Trump wins the election, he will not be polite to Xi again.

The article stated that the most correct thing Biden did after taking office was to restore the international alliance of Western democracies against the Communist Party. Now the UK, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada and South Korea are working in unison to weaken the CCP’s international status, attack its arrogance, and put the CCP in an unprecedented isolation.

The article believes that Yu Maochun said that it is time for the United States and Taiwan to establish diplomatic relations, which is equivalent to a wake-up call for the CCP. The Chinese Communist Party is challenging the United States in international affairs, and the United States slaps the United States in the face for establishing diplomatic relations with Taiwan.

"What Yu Maochun said is of course not Yu Maochun's wild imagination alone, but it foreshadows the future US government's stance on US-China relations. If the United States begins to explore the possibility of establishing diplomatic relations between the United States and Taiwan, other Western countries will also change their attitudes. There is no need to look at the face of the CCP. If the United States loosens its tone, many countries will promote diplomatic relations with the Republic of China."

The article pointed out that for the CCP, nothing in the world has a greater impact than the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and Taiwan, and it cannot explain it internally or externally. In a normal country, once the United States and Taiwan establish diplomatic relations, Xi Jinping will bow down and step down. No matter what, this will be a lingering nightmare for Xi Jinping in the next few years.

In recent years, the CCP has continued to expand its armaments, carried out civil and military attacks on Taiwan, and frequently dispatched fighter planes and warships to disrupt Taiwan. The CCP’s military newspaper also frequently emphasized “prepare for war.”

The Taiwanese non-governmental organization "Formosa Republican Association" held a forum on "The 45th Anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act - Toward a New Milestone in Taiwan-U.S. Relations" at the School of Public Health of National Taiwan University on 13 April 2024. Yu Maochun spoke through a pre-recorded video and delivered a speech on "A View of the Taiwan Relations Act from the United States."

Yu Maochun said that when the United States talks about cross-strait relations, it often mentions the Six U.S. Assurances on Taiwan, the Three U.S.-China Communiques, etc., but the most important thing is actually the Taiwan Relations Act (TRA), which determines Taiwan’s legal status in the United States. Positioning within the scope, Taiwan is regarded as a sovereign country protected by U.S. law.

Yu Maochun believes that whether the CCP will invade Taiwan depends on four factors. The first is whether the CCP has the intention to invade Taiwan. The answer is of course obvious; the second is military capabilities. Judging from the fact that the CCP believes that it rises in the east and falls in the west and vigorously develops its military, he said, "I think CCP has the ability."

There are two other factors that determine whether China invades Taiwan. Yu Maochun believes that once the cost of invading Taiwan reaches its lowest point, the CCP will think it is the best time. However, the opportunities and costs are not controlled by the CCP, but are controlled by the free world, so the Taiwanese people have a great advantage. Although it is impossible to make the CCP give up its attack on Taiwan, it cannot give it a chance and make the CCP pay a heavier price for its invasion of Taiwan.

Observers believe that Xi Jinping will not attack Taiwan because a war across the Taiwan Strait may trigger the collapse of the Chinese Communist regime, and Xi will not take this risk.

Chen Jiayu, an American finance professor, once published an article on the overseas "As long as Taiwan strengthens its self-protection and persists in its determination to fight communism, there will be peace across the Taiwan Strait."

Yuan Hongbing, a liberal legal scholar living in Australia, previously told The Epoch Times that CCP officers are flattering to Xi Jinping in person, but deep down, professional officers and rational officers have their own basic judgment, which is to launch a campaign across the Taiwan Strait. In the war, the CCP’s SS will eventually be defeated.

Pottinger and Gallagher co-author: The United States must win in competition with the CCP

Editor : Li Li / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2024/04/17/a103872141.html / Image : Former U.S. Deputy National Security Adviser Matt Pottinger and outgoing Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee on U.S.-China Strategic Competition Mike Gallagher (Kevin Dietsch/Getty Images) (Roberto Schmidt/AFP via Getty Images)

博明加拉格尔联合撰文:与中共竞争 美必须赢得胜利
Recently, former U.S. Deputy National Security Advisor Matt Pottinger and recently outgoing Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee on U.S.-China Strategic Competition Mike Gallagher spoke in Foreign Affairs published an article criticizing the U.S. government’s China policy, believing that the United States must win in the competition with the CCP, rather than the “managed” competition proposed by the Biden administration.

The article pointed out that in the competition between the United States and the CCP, the Biden administration strategically prioritizes a "short-term thaw" with the CCP, but sacrifices the long-term victory against the CCP's malicious strategy; the Biden team's diplomatic strategy emphasizes the process but ignores the results. The pursuit of bilateral stability comes at the expense of global security.

The article said that Beijing is pursuing a series of strategies around the world aimed at dismantling the Western establishment, providing support for the authoritarian regimes of Russia, Iran, North Korea and Venezuela, with the intention of establishing an anti-democratic order. Since 2020, China has more than doubled its nuclear arsenal and is building up its conventional forces faster than any country since World War II. These actions show that the CCP is desperate to win the competition.

The article criticizes that the CCP uses every opportunity to incite conflicts and stir up troubles, supports the Hamas terrorist organization, provides it with diplomatic cover, vetoes the United Nations Security Council resolution condemning Hamas, and uses TikTok to carry out endless anti-Israel and anti-U.S. Propaganda; Houthis attack merchant ships and U.S. warships in the Red Sea, but Chinese ships are generally allowed to pass freely; Xi Jinping sees the benefits of fomenting crises that he hopes will exhaust the United States and its allies.

The article pointed out that the CCP has launched a cold war against the United States, and it is impossible to win with cowardly rhetoric. Victory requires public recognition that a totalitarian regime that commits genocide, foments conflict, and threatens war can never be a reliable partner. Instead of denying the existence of this struggle, Washington should acknowledge and win it. Pretending that the Cold War does not exist will only lead to a hot war.

If the United States continues to adopt a policy of appeasement towards the CCP, it will only make the CCP leaders believe that they can destabilize the world with impunity. The article cited examples: Beijing had promised to resume military dialogue, but had unilaterally suspended it; Beijing had promised to "responsibly use artificial intelligence," but the CCP has weaponized it against the American people, spreading false images and other propaganda on social media, Beijing has also contributed to the U.S. fentanyl crisis.

The article suggests that the United States should adopt tougher confrontational rhetoric and policies, “This means that China (CCP) leader Xi Jinping has to pay the price for his policies that contribute to global chaos. This means that talking frankly about China (CCP) harms U.S. interests. This means rapidly increasing U.S. defense capabilities to gain a clear qualitative advantage over Beijing. This means cutting off China’s access to Western technology and thwarting Xi Jinping’s conversion of national wealth into military power. On "Efforts", the United States can only rely on strength in its diplomacy with Beijing, and is not afraid of greater friction with the CCP.

The article reminds that dismantling—or at least blowing up—China’s “Great Firewall” must be at the core of Washington’s policy today, just as the Reagan administration’s policy was for dismantling the Berlin Wall. Washington should work hard to disseminate true information within China so that Chinese citizens can safely communicate with each other.

U.S. officials first need to make clear that escalating tensions in the short term is inevitable if the United States is to contain war and win the long-term competition. The United States needs to adjust its strategy, rearm its military, reduce China’s economic influence, and recruit a broader coalition to confront China.

The article stated, “One of the peculiar things about U.S. foreign policy today is that the ‘elephant in the room’—the ultimate goal Washington hopes to achieve in its competition with Beijing—is a topic so closely guarded that successive administrations have come and gone. went without ever setting a clear goal on how to end the competition."

The article believes that the Biden administration will manage competition as a goal, but this is not a goal but a method, and it is a counterproductive method.

Washington is making the goals of its China policy a process: the meeting was supposed to be a tool for the United States to advance its interests, but instead the meeting itself became the core goal.

Washington should weaken the Chinese Communist Party’s base and support a moderate, non-hostile Chinese leader. This does not mean forced regime change, subversion, or war.

The current mass exodus of Chinese people from China shows that they want to live in a country that respects human rights, respects the rule of law and provides freedom. Just as Taiwan is, so may China be such a place.

The article concluded, "The road to get there may be long but for America's own security, as well as the rights and aspirations of all Chinese people, this is the only feasible destination."

The CCP subsidizes the production and export of fentanyl, which U.S. victims regard as a “war”

中共补贴芬太尼生产出口 美国受害者视为“战争”
A report by the U.S. Congress stated that the Chinese Communist Party subsidizes the manufacturing and export of synthetic drugs such as fentanyl. Fentanyl overdose has become the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18 to 45, and is also one of the reasons for the decline in life expectancy in the United States. For many victims, fentanyl has been regarded as a "war" launched by the Chinese Communist Party against the United States.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 50 times more powerful than heroin.

Central News Agency reported that a 25-year-old woman in Iowa suddenly turned pale and drooled in her car in a parking lot more than a year ago. A passing police detective gave her naloxone, which is used to treat opium overdose, and she was sent to the hospital for rescue.  She told the hospital that she took the common painkiller Percocet.

Iowa Congressman Ashley Hinson mentioned this matter at a House of Representatives hearing on the 16th. Hinson said the hospital confirmed that the woman was not taking ordinary prescription drugs, but a counterfeit drug called "Blue M-30" that contained the deadly and powerful opioid painkiller fentanyl.

Several people at the hearing held up photos of their deceased relatives, who died unexpectedly from a fentanyl overdose. Observers included the family of Illinois victim Sammy, who purchased prescription drugs through the social platform Snapchat in 2021 and died of a fentanyl overdose after taking them.

Sam Chapman, Sam Chapman's father, told ABC7 in Chicago that Sam Chapman bought medicine online and had it delivered to his home like a pizza. They later found him dead on the floor of their home.

Washington State Representative Dan Newhouse also mentioned the tragic story of a father. He lost two sons within 18 months of each other, both from taking counterfeit pills laced with fentanyl.

According to statistics, about 110,000 people died from drug overdose in the United States in 2022, of which 76,000 (about 70%) were related to fentanyl. An average of about 200 people a day, the total number exceeds the number of soldiers killed in the Vietnam War. Fentanyl overdose has become the leading cause of death in Americans aged 18 to 45 and is one of the reasons for the decline in life expectancy in the United States.

After several months of investigation, the "Special Committee on China" of the U.S. House of Representatives issued a report at a hearing on the 16th, revealing that China has used tax incentives, sponsorships and other subsidies to encourage chemical industry since 2018. Companies and laboratories illegally manufacture at least 17 types of synthetic drugs, including 14 types of fentanyl or similar, as well as precursor substances for making such drugs, and smuggle them to the United States, Mexico, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany and other countries, online or through social media and consumers can buy it on the group platform.

This report found that the CCP is still subsidizing drug manufacturing, describing the CCP as using “state power” to manufacture drugs, and poisoning Americans is the CCP’s national policy. 97% of the illegal fentanyl flowing into the United States comes from China, and almost all fentanyl precursors in the world are produced in CCP China.

In the past few years, the United States has made progress in promoting the CCP's handling of the fentanyl issue. In 2019, the CCP announced that fentanyl drugs would be classified as controlled substances. The two countries have cooperated in investigating and prosecuting drug traffickers. Afterwards, relations between the two countries deteriorated, and the dialogue mechanism between the two sides to discuss fentanyl was also affected. It was not until U.S. President Joe Biden held a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping in November last year that the CCP agreed to resume cooperation to jointly deal with fentanyl. Issues, combating drug trafficking.

However the United States still has doubts about how much the CCP has accomplished. Mike Gallagher, chairman of the Special Committee on China, who is about to resign from the House of Representatives, said that in 2019, while negotiating with the United States on the fentanyl issue, the CCP expanded its control of all fentanyl, its analogues, and precursor substances. of subsidies.

This report stated that the CCP views the fentanyl issue as a diplomatic bargaining chip rather than a real solution to the drug problem. After former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan in August 2022, she aroused dissatisfaction with the CCP. The CCP announced the suspension of multiple dialogue mechanisms, including the suspension of Sino-US anti-drug cooperation.

Former U.S. Attorney General William Barr, who pushed the CCP to classify fentanyl and other substances as controlled substances in 2019, bluntly stated at the hearing that the CCP is not sincere in eradicating fentanyl. Like Mexico, the CCP occasionally expresses its intention to cooperate with the United States in anti-drug cooperation "but most of the time it is meaningless."

Barr said that the Chinese Communist government has the ability to end all this. "This is not happening in the rainforest of Myanmar. This is happening in China with modern surveillance capabilities." With just a few clicks on the keyboard, you can find the company or person you are looking for in less than a minute. The Chinese Communist Party also knows who is selling fentanyl online. "The question is are they participating in this? Are they encouraging this behaviour? I think the answer is yes."

Ray Donovan, former director of operations of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), also said that many board members of Chinese chemical companies that manufacture these drugs are related to high-level officials of the CCP, and even directly receive subsidies from the CCP government. “This is the problem.” .

There are many frictions between the United States and CCP China but the impact of fentanyl on American society has led many people to regard fentanyl as a "war" launched by the CCP against the United States.

Chapman said that the root cause of the proliferation of fentanyl in the United States is CCP China. Now the committee's report shows that the Chinese Communist Party even funds the production and export of fentanyl, which is tantamount to an "undeclared war." He and his family hope to push for legislation in Illinois and in the U.S. Congress to help parents pay attention to whether their children are exposed to fentanyl information online. "Parents must be very careful about their children's use of social media."

Congressman Jake Auchincloss said profits from the drug trade were not enough to explain the CCP’s motives. By fueling the problem of drug addiction in American society, the CCP creates an image of decline and decadence in American society. Its real purpose is to weaken the United States' global leadership in the 21st century.

British Foreign Secretary: Israel has decided to retaliate against Iran's attacks

英国外相:以色列已决定报复伊朗的攻击行动
British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, who is visiting Israel, said that Israel has obviously decided to retaliate against the large-scale attack launched by Iran last week. The day before, the Israeli Defense Minister also publicly stated that Iran’s threats would not prevent Israel from responding to Iran’s attacks.

When British Foreign Secretary Cameron visited Israel on Wednesday (April 17), he said that Israel has apparently decided to retaliate against Iran's missile and drone attacks, which is another severe warning about the escalation of regional tensions.

Cameron made the above remarks during his visit to Jerusalem. In response to inquiries from media reporters, he said: "Obviously Israel is deciding to take action, and we hope that when they do so, they will try to avoid worsening the situation."

The day before (16 April), Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also publicly stated that Iran’s threats would not prevent Israel from responding to the large-scale air strikes the country suffered from Iran last Saturday night.

"The Iranians' attacks failed, and they were unable to establish a new deterrent against Israel." Gallant said: "(Israeli) aircraft are everywhere - the skies in the Middle East are 'open' to any enemy who fights us They're all going to be hit, no matter where they are."

On the same day (16 April), U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan issued a statement saying that Washington is preparing to impose new sanctions on Iran’s missile and drone programs in the next few days and expects allies to follow suit. .
From the night of last Saturday (13 April) to the early morning of the next day, Iran launched a large-scale attack on the Israeli mainland, launching hundreds of missiles and drones in total as a response to Israel’s air strike on the Iranian garrison in the embassy area of Damascus on 1 April. and killed many senior Iranian commanders in retaliation.

In the past few decades, Iran has been attacking Israel by supporting armed groups that hate Israel (such as Hamas and Hezbollah). This is the first time that Iran has directly launched an attack on Israel itself. Although most missiles and all drones were successfully intercepted by Israel and its allies and did not cause substantial damage to Israel, Israel stated that it must fight back against Iran in order to safeguard its sovereignty. In recent days, Israel's war cabinet, including Galante, has met several times to discuss how to respond to the Iranian attack.

Former Israeli intelligence officer Avi Melamed said in a telephone interview with VOA's "Flashpoint Global Crises" program from northern Israel on Tuesday (16th) that Israel may use its military power to attack Iran territory, to conduct direct military strikes, cyberattacks, or some other covert action to retaliate against Iran.

Washington and other Western countries are unwilling to see the situation in the Middle East further expand and escalate, hoping to persuade Israel not to retaliate against Iran as much as possible, or at least limit the scope of its retaliation. To this end, Europe and the United States plan to adopt new economic sanctions against Iran. The Group of Seven Major Industrial Countries (G7) will hold a meeting in Italy this week. British Foreign Secretary Cameron said that the United Kingdom hopes to see G7 member states implement "coordinated sanctions" against Iran.

On Tuesday, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz posted on X the Guards Corps (IRGC) is a terrorist organization.

(Screenshot of X platform webpage)

According to Voice of America, Melamed, director of the US non-profit research organization Inside the Middle East, analyzed that any retaliatory actions by Israel may have to be coordinated with the United States. He believes that Israel's response needs to make Iran "pay a heavy price" on the one hand, thereby sending a strong warning message to Iran and its associates, but at the same time, the message must not be so painful that it will further escalate tensions in the Middle East.

"When I look at all of those components, I think it's very likely that Israel will take a series of covert and significant actions against Iranian assets," Melamed said.

Israelis are angered by the CCP: The Chinese Communist Party is promoting nuclear war

Reporting and editing by : Qin Rui / https://www.aboluowang.com/2024/0418/2045053.html

Regarding Iran’s attack on Israel, the CCP published an article on the CCP’s Xinhuanet website to bombard the United States and Israel. On the official website of the "Jerusalem Post" with the largest circulation in Israel, Israelis also named the "Chinese Communist Party" as an axis of evil.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdullahyan on April 15. The CCP reiterated Iran’s position that the attack on Israel was an “act of self-defense” and claimed that it believed Iran could “take good control of the situation and avoid further instability.”

On 16 April 2024, Beijing time, the Chinese Communist Party’s Xinhuanet published a commentary entitled "International Observation|American double standards and connivance continue to wreak havoc in the Middle East". The article fiercely criticized the United States, saying that "the current situation in the Middle East... is the result of the United States' long-term favoritism and connivance towards Israel."

From the title to the content of the article, it can be summed up in one sentence: "All responsibility lies with the United States and Israel."

For example, the article claimed, "In military conflicts such as the Fourth Middle East War in 1973, the United States gave Israel unconditional diplomatic favoritism and military assistance."

It even publicly stated that "in recent years, the United States has acted perversely on a number of major issues related to the stability of the situation between Palestine and Israel." And then named the two US presidents---Trump and Biden.

So, what do Israelis think of the CCP?

"The Jerusalem Post" is Israel's largest English-language newspaper by circulation. Its official website forwarded a Reuters report on the 16th, "China's foreign minister said Iran can "properly handle the situation" and avoid further tension in the Middle East."

In the comment area, someone said, “I don’t understand why Israel is becoming more and more friendly to China, while China continues to criticize Israel in international forums.”

Others said, “Iran obtains a large amount of weapons from China. China’s offensive weapons do not have much effect on Israel. If Israel launches an attack, Iran’s Chinese weapons will also not Awesome, this illustrates China’s problem. Iran is scared and they can’t stop it. If the reports about Israel’s decision to hit Iran are true, it will make Iran lose face.”

"What an embarrassment Iran has put itself and China into!"

“The country most dangerous to world stability is China. Israel cannot conduct any business with China.”

"Crazy words from a misfit authoritarian regime. For decades, this axis of evil has been preparing for war, obtaining various incentives from Western democracies to improve its economic situation. The Chinese Communist Party believes that China has enough cannon fodder to start a nuclear war and are promoting it.”

"The Chinese Communist Party is desperate for the spotlight and their fragile ego needs to feel important. They cannot quell the war in Ukraine or push Russia to victory. At the moment, they are truly useless paper tigers"

Forced demolitions by the CCP occurred in many places, and some property owners were beaten by the police while defending their rights

The CCP’s forced demolitions are still going on in various places, and people’s rights protection and resistance have become the norm. Recently, two cases of forced demolitions have attracted attention, and even children in kindergartens have come out to defend their rights.

On 15 and 16 April 2024 the owners of Yujing Jiangshan in Tongnan District, Chongqing defended their rights for two consecutive days, but were beaten by the police. The police also arrested several owners who participated in the rights protection.

Mr. Luo, a citizen of Chengdu, commented, "Oh, this kind of rights protection thing happens every day, but no one reports it. There should be more forced demolitions in the past few years. Some people in our county go to Beijing to petition, and they will follow you when you petition. I see there are quite a few.”

Afterwards, he threw rocks and fireworks at each other and used sticks to fight with urban management officers who approached with shields.

On 15 April 2024, the local government of Yongdu Village, Anjing Town, Pidu District, Chengdu, Sichuan, dug up the road for kindergarten children to go to school during forced demolition. The kindergarten children had to block the road in order to protect their rights to go to school.

The authorities have gone too far

Mr. Lu, a citizen of Shandong Province: "This forced demolition is a very common phenomenon and has been going on for more than 20 years. There are all kinds of resistance. This shows that what the authorities have done has exceeded the bottom line and has gone too far."

The only way to stop demolition is to disintegrate CCP

Li Muyang, host of the "News Watch" column: "First of all, from the nature of the CCP, it is engaged in violence, so it must demolish. In the past, it was a political movement, which can be called political demolition. Now it demolishes private houses. Demolishing people’s houses is a kind of economic demolition, which is to implement violent rule through different types of demolition.”

Li added, "The people's rights protection is actually about having some illusions about the CCP's laws and the CCP's rule, and not fully seeing the evil of the CCP. What are the CCP's laws? The CCP's laws are a way for the CCP to regulate the Chinese people. The only way is to disintegrate the CCP.”
