Passengers are not required to take Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests before entering Vietnam with effect from 15 May 2022. Before 15 May 2022, passengers were required to show their negative PCR test result certificates taken between three to seven days before departure and submit health declarations before they were allowed to enter the international ports of entry in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Phu Quoc and Cam Ranh.
As of 19 June 2023, passengers also do not need to take the PCR tests after entering Vietnam (after clearing Customs and Immigration), do not need to submit health declarations and there is no need to use Vietnam's PC-Covid application to enter buildings, restaurants and re-enter the airports of Vietnam.
However, passengers are required to wear masks during the flights and on public transport according to the Vietnamese competent authorities.
