Shocking the world! Trump retweets prediction: Three major dictatorships may collapse in 2026

On 11 January 2026, U.S. President Trump retweeted a post on his Truth Social platform, speculating that 2026 might see the end of Venezuela's 20-year socialist rule, Iran's 50-year theocratic rule, and Cuba's nearly 70-year Castro era. This retweet quickly sparked heated discussion on social media, and combined with recent US military action in Venezuela and warnings to Iran, it was seen as a strong signal of pressure from the Trump administration on these countries.

The original tweet read: "If it happens, it will be a series of amazing victories… 20 years of communism in Venezuela, 50 years of mullah rule in Iran, nearly 70 years of Castro's era in Cuba, all of these could be reversed in 2026." Trump directly retweeted the post on 11 January without adding any further comment, but this action quickly amplified its impact. Discussions on social media have accumulated tens of thousands of views and interactions, with user comments focusing primarily on the escalating protests in Iran, Cuba's economic difficulties, and the capture of former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro by US forces. Many supporters see this as a "historic turning point," while critics worry it suggests further U.S. intervention in the internal affairs of these countries.

Current Situation in Related Countries

Venezuela: In early 2026, the US launched military action against Venezuela, including bombing Caracas and capturing Maduro. Trump publicly stated that the US would "run" Venezuelan affairs until a "safe and proper" transition was achieved and planned to allow US oil companies to drill for oil in the country. This action was seen as aimed at cutting off Venezuelan oil aid to Cuba, marking a potential end to 20 years of socialist rule.

Iran: Massive protests in Iran continue to escalate, with the death toll rising. The government has cut off internet access to suppress the demonstrations. The Trump administration has repeatedly warned Iran against cracking down on protesters and has deployed additional military aircraft to the Middle East. The tweet's mention of "50 years of mullah rule" refers to Iran's theocratic system since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, and the US action is seen as a sign of support for regime change.

Cuba: Trump posted another tweet today on Truth Social, warning Cuba that it will receive "zero" Venezuelan oil or financial aid and urging it to "reach an agreement as soon as possible, or it will be too late." Cuba has long relied on Venezuelan oil in exchange for "security services," and after Maduro's downfall, Cuba faces the risk of economic collapse. The tweet's mention of "nearly 70 years of the Castro era" refers to the period since the 1959 revolution, suggesting Cuba may be undergoing significant changes.

Aboluowang commentator Wang Duran believes that Trump's retweet was not random, but part of a strategy to pressure these countries. The Venezuelan situation has marked the U.S.'s entry into a "Don Rothschild" style of diplomacy, and Cuba and Iran may become the next focus. Trump's move is essentially a "public declaration of a three-front war": resetting Venezuela, containing Cuba, and pushing for change in Iran, with the goal of completely eliminating the CCP's proxy forces in the Americas and the Middle East. Once the regimes in Cuba and Iran collapse, the CCP's external strategic pillars will crumble instantly, and its international influence will suffer its biggest setback since the Cold War.

Wang Duran said, "When the dominoes fall from Caracas to Havana and Tehran, the CCP will clearly hear—it's your turn."

End the Cuban regime! Trump: "Rubio will become the president of Cuba"

Editor : Fang Xun / Source: RFI / https://www.aboluowang.com/2026/0112/2333439.html

U.S. President Donald Trump posted on social media Sunday suggesting Cuba make a deal with the United States, warning that Cuba would no longer receive oil or funding if it did not.

Early Sunday morning, Trump retweeted several posts on his Truth Social network discussing the possibility of ending the Cuban regime. He even captioned a post jokingly suggesting Marco Rubio would become president of Cuba, saying, "Sounds good."

In another post, Trump wrote, "For years, Cuba relied on vast amounts of oil and money from Venezuela to survive. In return, Cuba provided 'security services' to the last two dictators of Venezuela, but now that's all over! Most of those Cuban security personnel were killed in last week's US attacks, and Venezuela no longer needs protection from the thugs and blackmailers who have held them hostage for years."

Trump continued, “Venezuela now has the United States—the world’s most powerful military (by a wide margin!)—to protect them, and we will protect them. There will be no more oil or money flowing to Cuba—zero! I strongly urge them to make a deal as soon as possible, lest it be too late. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Previously, U.S. intelligence painted a grim picture of Cuba’s economic and political situation, but according to three sources familiar with the matter who spoke to Reuters, their assessment did not explicitly support Trump’s prediction that the military action taken over neighbouring Venezuela last weekend had left the Cuban regime “shaky.”

The CIA believes that key sectors of the Cuban economy, such as agriculture and tourism, are under immense pressure due to frequent power outages, trade sanctions, and other problems. Losing oil imports and other support from Venezuela—a key ally of Cuba for decades—could make it even more difficult for the current government, which has ruled Cuba since Castro led the revolution in 1959, to govern.

However, the sources indicated that the CIA’s recent assessment failed to definitively determine whether the economic deterioration would shake the foundations of the Cuban regime. These individuals requested anonymity for sensitive information. These assessments are noteworthy because Trump and other U.S. officials have suggested that cutting off Venezuelan oil supplies to Cuba following the Caracas operation could topple the Cuban regime—a long-held ambition of Secretary of State Rubio and other senior Trump administration officials.

“Cuba looks shaky,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One last Sunday. “I don’t know if they can hold on, but Cuba has no income right now. All their income comes from Venezuela, from Venezuelan oil.”

The White House, the CIA, and the Cuban Foreign Ministry did not respond to requests for comment. Reuters could not confirm whether the CIA had released an updated assessment since the U.S. military’s arrest of Venezuelan President Maduro last Saturday.

Venezuela is Cuba’s largest oil supplier. Since Maduro’s arrest, the U.S. has successfully forced Venezuelan interim president Delcy Rodriguez to supply almost all of the country’s oil to the United States.

Independent analysts say that even during the period of continued Venezuelan oil supplies to Cuba, Cuba’s energy situation was already dire; therefore, a shift in Venezuela’s oil supply pattern will have a severe impact on the Cuban economy.

A sudden and dramatic change! Overthrowing Iran? The U.S. military suddenly warns Trump
—The U.S. military warned Trump that he needs more time to prepare for potential military action against Iran

On 11 January 2025, multiple British and American media outlets reported that senior U.S. defense officials warned President Trump that additional preparation time was needed before any potential military action against Iran. This news, amidst escalating protests in Iran and a death toll exceeding 500, has drawn widespread international attention, highlighting the U.S.'s cautious assessment of the timing and risks of any action. Details of the warning and military considerations: Multiple mainstream media outlets reported the same core message:

The UK's *The Telegraph* first revealed that Middle East commanders specifically reminded the White House that any immediate strike could trigger Iranian retaliation against U.S. forces or allies, therefore the US military needed to "consolidate military positions and prepare defenses."

Israel's *The Jerusalem Post*, citing the *Telegraph*, reported that senior defense officials explicitly warned Trump that "the military needs more time to prepare for potential strikes."

The U.S.'s *The Wall Street Journal* further pointed out that Trump will be briefed by senior officials on January 13th (Tuesday) to discuss specific options including military, cyberattacks, and economic sanctions.

US media outlets such as NBC News, POLITICO, Israeli media outlet i24NEWS, and Forbes have also corroborated this cautious view: Trump is weighing various options from limited strikes to cyber warfare, but senior military officials are unanimously calling for "additional preparation time" to ensure defenses are in place and risks are mitigated.

Background in Iran: Protests in Iran have entered their third week, with human rights organizations reporting over 500 deaths. The government has implemented internet censorship and intensified repression. Trump has repeatedly voiced support for the protesters on Truth Social, stating that "The USA stands ready to help!!!" and warning Iran against continuing to "kill protesters," or it will face "very, very severe" retaliation.

An Iranian parliamentary spokesperson responded that if the U.S. takes action, U.S. and Israeli bases in the Middle East will become "legitimate targets."

Analysts point out that this potential operation could be similar to "Operation Midnight Hammer" in June 2025, but the current focus remains on preparation rather than immediate execution.

Analysts and international impact experts believe the U.S. military's warning reflects deep concerns about an escalation of conflict in the Middle East, including potential intervention from Iran's allies (such as Russia and China) and the impact of retaliation on U.S. military bases in the region.

Trump's "America First" policy has fueled these discussions, but internal divisions are evident. The Pentagon and the White House have not yet officially responded to reports detailing the situation, but a White House spokesperson stated that "all options are on the table."

Analysts point out that this potential action could be similar to a U.S. strike against Iran in 2025, but the objective may include regime change.

The Iranian opposition is urging Trump to act quickly to avoid "it being too late."

A bolt from the blue! "Game over!" The White House posted a photo that turned out to be from the Trump-Xi meeting

The world today stands at a historical turning point. For the past two decades, an "anti-American alliance" comprised of authoritarian regimes such as China, Russia, Iran, Venezuela, and North Korea, sharing a common language of anti-freedom, anti-human rights, and anti-rule of law, has hidden behind the veneer of "non-interference in internal affairs," exerting repressive rule domestically and exporting chaos internationally, gradually eroding the post-war international order.

But history is repeating itself. Just as Nazism and militarism, once at their peak during World War II, were ultimately defeated, today's authoritarian alliance, seemingly united, is in reality riddled with ulterior motives, a corrupt system, and a bleeding economy. The devastating blows to Hamas and Hezbollah, the collapse of the Venezuelan regime, the widespread turmoil in Iran, and Russia's quagmire of war are not accidental, but the inevitable result of systemic failure.

The Trump administration's tough stance signifies that the United States no longer hopes to use old rules to restrain those who break them, but instead chooses to use force to sever the mutually supportive ecosystem of authoritarian regimes, preventing local conflicts from escalating into global catastrophe. This is not belligerence, but rather a precaution against a larger war.

After World War II, the U.S. and Britain led the establishment of the United Nations system, laying the foundation for order in the free world, but it was thoroughly undermined by a coalition of dictators. Today, the United States is once again stepping forward, leading its allies to defeat the coalition of dictators and rebuild a new international order centered on freedom, democracy, and sovereign responsibility. Sovereignty is not absolute; rulers have responsibilities and are bound by both domestic and foreign policies. This is not a choice, but a call from history to the United States.

The White House posted a photo of Trump on the X platform with the caption "Game over, FAFO," and it was discovered that the background of the photo was the scene of the Trump-Xi meeting in October 2025. (From the post)
