There are three major breakthroughs in the construction of pile foundations for karst landforms. Since the construction of the substantive pile foundation in November 2018, due to the influence of Guiyang's karst geomorphology, the underground part has a soft structure, many rock layers, and more karst caves, quicksands and underground rivers. Especially due to the soil moisture, the terminal building piles. The foundation construction is difficult to advance.

The new terminal building aims to build a three-star green building, and realizes green and low-carbon sustainable operation through design methods combining natural lighting, natural ventilation, envelope structure optimization, and electromechanical optimization of water, heating, and electricity. In April 2021, Terminal 3 of Guiyang Airport won the three-star green building design logo certificate.
Take "wisdom" as the basic quality. Use big data, cloud computing, mobile Internet of things, artificial intelligence and other information technologies to realize passenger service self-service, intelligent cargo flow, intelligent aircraft guidance, visualization of airport operation control, and digital engineering construction to provide passengers with a better travel experience .
Take "humanities" as the basic function. The building space of Terminal 3 is clear, and the path and information guidance are convenient, which maximizes the passenger flow and personal experience. At the same time, relying on the rich historical and cultural resources of Guizhou, the sunken garden in the terminal building was created. Terminal 3 new landmark, new environment, new vitality, boosting the high-quality development of Guizhou
Terminal 3 is designed and constructed to meet the needs of Guiyang Airport’s target of 30 million passengers per year by 2025. The design adopts the main building plus corridor configuration (consisting of a main building and a corridor), and during the planning of Terminal 3, the total construction area is 167,460 square metres.
Under the plan, Terminal 3 is in the shape of "T", and it is located on the north side of Terminal 2, in a corridor-like configuration. The main structure of the terminal building adopts a frame and steel roof truss structure. The north-south length is 522 metres, the east-west length is 360 metres, the height of the main building is 38.300 metres, and the height of the corridor is 33.298 metres. The Academia Sinica has not implemented the SOP and is fined NT$150,000 for brewing covid

The command centre pointed out that after external experts discussed the possible causes of laboratory infections, preliminary investigation results are as follows:
1. The ABSL-3 laboratory personnel did not wear Class C as required when performing experimental operations such as protective equipment (including one-piece protective clothing, N95 masks, double gloves, goggles, shoe covers, etc. and when putting on and taking off personal protective equipment (PPE) and using biosafety cabinets (BSC) on the one hand, they did not comply with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set by the laboratory.
2. The Biosafety Council failed to implement internal audits of laboratories every year in accordance with the "Administrative Measures for Infectious Biomaterials"; nor did it track the completion of relevant training assessments for new recruits in ABSL-3 laboratories.
3. Laboratory personnel need to further strengthen education and training, and implement a post-training assessment mechanism, and conduct physical exercises of personal protective equipment to confirm the personnel's awareness of personal protective equipment wearing and taking off.
4. In addition, some details of the investigation have yet to be clarified. The Academia Sinica will be asked to provide the electronic records, monitoring video tapes, and work records of the laboratory personnel entering and leaving the laboratory for confirmation by the investigation team.
The command centre explained that the investigation team will complete the final investigation report after clarifying the relevant facts, and then the commander will make a unified explanation.
In addition, for the fact that the Academia Sinica has not implemented the supervision and management of internal biosafety affairs in accordance with the provisions of the "Management Measures for Infectious Biological Materials", the relevant facts of violations will be collected and in accordance with the provisions of Article 34 and Article 69 of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Law. The anti-covid oral drug jointly developed by Merck and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics, named "Molnupiravir", is the second home treatment drug authorized by the U.S. FDA for the treatment of mild to moderate covid patients including adults at high risk of hospitalization such as the elderly and those with diseases such as obesity and heart disease but it is not recommended for pregnant women.
