The video of Bazhou villagers asking the government for an explanation and being beaten made netizens angry: "The bastards of Weiwen are too abominable. They are real traitors to help the evil Communist Party bully unarmed compatriots for a few taels of money."
"As long as the people ask for an explanation, they will be beaten, regardless of right or wrong, basically."

Bazhou disaster responder protests CCTV fraud: Return My Home
The CCP released floods to protect Beijing, Tianjin, and Xiongan, causing many places in Hebei Province to be flooded. Bazhou was flooded, and tens of thousands of people were homeless and bankrupt. However, the CCP’s CCTV lied that the flood was “caused by heavy rain”, angering the victims trapped by the flood.
On 5 August 2023, a large-scale protest broke out in Bazhou, and the affected people gathered in front of the government building to demand justice. They unfurled a banner reading "Return my home, it was obviously caused by flood discharge, but it was caused by rain" in protest.
A video posted on the Internet shows a female villager saying, "To protect Beijing and Xiong'an, the flood was released to our place, and our homes and factories were also flooded. Now the Central News reports that it is raining and flooding here and there."
She went on to say that the volunteers in her village risked their lives to pick up the trapped elderly and children, but the report said that firefighters rescued them; dozens of our villages were flooded, but the report said that only 4 villages were flooded. The report is really not true.
The people at the scene were angry and protested loudly, and fierce conflicts broke out with the police. A group of men in black held police shields and beat the villagers. Some villagers said that the police wanted to arrest the two leading villagers, but the villagers refused to arrest them. There was a conflict between the two sides, and it is not clear what happened in the end.
A female villager in Dongyangzhuang Village told The Epoch Times on 5 August 2023 that thousands of people went to the scene. At that time, the government did not have relevant personnel to negotiate with the villagers to discuss compensation to the common people.
The Bazhou disaster victims' protests have aroused the attention of public opinion at home and abroad. Under the pressure of public opinion, the Bazhou government issued an open letter on the same day, admitting that the Bazhou flood was caused by "flood discharge", but it failed to appease the anger of the people.
Villager in Yujinwa Village, Bazhou Township, told NTDTV, "What CCTV posted on Weibo was actually not about firefighting at all. It was our non-government organization that rescued them, and (CCTV) they posed for pictures there. The government didn't even come out to rescue us. The responsibility is shouldered by our non-government organizations.”
The villager said that the local rain in 1996 was heavier than this year's. This year, the government shut down the water valve to Baiyangdian Lake, allowing the water to rush to the local area, causing them to be flooded. Their families are gone, and they feel very sad. CCTV also released such fake news, which aroused public outrage.
"There are about 2,000 people in our village, and now 111 houses have collapsed. The houses are flooded, and the water level is almost as high as the windowsill of that village. Almost all of them, all of them in our flood discharge area. The common people have not moved, and all the things in the house are at home, basically people came out, and then brought some clothes and so on.” The villager said that the government basically does not care about the victims, and they rely on themselves to go out to rent a house or visit relatives and friends.
Lan Shu, a current affairs commentator based in the United States, told NTDTV, "The CCP's propaganda has always been to make big things small, make small things small, and at the same time beautify the CCP. The problem was originally caused by the flood, but it turned out that the problem was caused by the heavy rain. It only reported on the local government's disaster relief efforts, and do not report the extent of the disaster and the loss of the victims. The final result must be that the government forces the people to rebel."

Residents of Zhuozhou scold Hebei Provincial Party Secretary
A video uploaded online shows a group of people hugging Ni Yuefeng, Secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee, to inspect a residential area in Zhuozhou. The footage shows that the roads in this residential area have been cleaned up, and there are almost no traces of flooding.
A man used his mobile phone to film the leader's inspection scene, but a man in a white shirt ran up to stop him, covering the camera with his hand.
The man choked angrily: "Why didn't you let me shoot? Why didn't you come when the water was heavy and when there was no electricity? Why are you here now?"
"You guys are here after finishing the work. Why didn't you come earlier? Why didn't you let me shoot." The man said.
According to Hebei Daily client news, on 3 August 2023, Ni Yuefeng, secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee, visited the urban area of Zhuozhou to learn about the disaster situation.
On the same day, when Ni Yuefeng inspected Baoding City and Xiongan New District, he said that Hebei should "resolutely serve as the capital's moat." The construction of Xiongan New District is a millennium plan, and safety must not be compromised. Ni Yuefeng's statement aroused the anger of the disaster victims in Hebei, who accused him of only caring about flattering and showing loyalty to his master, regardless of the life and death of the people.
Gao Yu, a well-known reporter in Beijing, said on Twitter that the Secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee is a sycophant. As long as he flatters his superiors and makes them happy, he even said that Hebei should become "Beijing's moat". , This kind of statement is not humane at all, and no Beijinger will accept it. This flood, like the catastrophe in the history of the CCP, will be written into the history books.
Gao Yu posted a video of the flood in Zhuozhou on Twitter, and revealed that the Zhuozhou government began to cut off the Internet in order to prevent the disaster from being exposed. She accused the CCP of being inhumane.

Netizens post "Missing Person Notice" to mock Zhuozhou officials
Compared with the Hebei Provincial Party Secretary who was scolded during the inspection, the Zhuozhou Municipal Party Secretary and Mayor have not been seen since the flood.
On 4 August 2023, a netizen posted a mocking "Lost Notice" on Weibo in mainland China, saying: "I am urgently looking for the mayor and party secretary of Zhuozhou, and I have lost contact for many days. Zhuozhou is suffering from an unprecedented disaster. Someone presided over the overall situation, looking for help from organized personnel, no water, no electricity, no internet, lost contact with family members for many days, and did not receive any help from organized personnel.”
Many netizens sarcastically said: "The automatic stealth mode has been turned on, and we will meet again at the commendation meeting when the flood recedes." "They will show up after the flood recedes and the relief funds are in place." "They all went to Beidaihe." Protect the capital, don't read." "What kind of mayor does the moat need?"

Reporter scolds Zhuozhou officials: Don't do one thing
After the flood in Zhuozhou, the CCP officials did not act, which aroused criticism from the public opinion. On 2 August 2023, the media revealed that non-local rescue teams were required to present an invitation letter from the Zhuozhou government before entering to rescue victims. Many rescue teams were blocked on the highway as a result.
On 3 August 2023, Southern Weekend reporter "Zheng Shuo" posted a post on social media, scolding leaders at all levels in Zhuozhou City for "drinking during the disaster", "competing to get supplies into storage", and "not doing one thing".
German water conservancy expert Wang Weiluo told NTDTV that Zhuozhou was flooded so badly mainly because the CCP, in order to protect Xiong'an, adopted the method of flood discharge and diversion. The flood was released into Zhuozhou to reduce the flood control pressure of Xiong'an downstream.
Li Na, deputy director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Water Resources, said that although the rain has stopped, it will take some time for the flood in Zhuozhou to recede.
Wang Weiluo pointed out that this shows that Beijing will continue to release floods.
On 7 August 2023, the Central Meteorological Observatory reported that typhoon "Khanu" will enter CCP China on 10 August 2023, and the Northeast region will encounter a new round of heavy rainfall, reminding flood control. Mainland netizens lamented: "Don't go further north, the north has been miserable for the past two days." "The Northeast just suffered a disaster, so don't come here."
