The U.S. Ambassador to Japan hinted that Beijing should cooperate with the international community on the new pneumonia issue and stop cheating and deliberately delaying.
U.S. Ambassador to Japan Rahm Emanuel tweeted on social media, "Now is the time to abandon the COVID practices of deception and delay, because transparent and timely information saves lives."
Emanuel emphasized the importance of cooperation between Beijing and the international community on public health.
"Comprehensive cooperation with the international community is not an option, but an inevitable requirement of public health," he wrote.
Emanuel still has some concerns about whether Beijing will cooperate actively and effectively to deal with the epidemic.
"Will Beijing take steps forward?" he asked rhetorically.

Chinese officials deny existence of new or unusual pathogen
A notice issued by the WHO later on Thursday (23rd) stated that the WHO held a meeting with Chinese Communist Party agencies on 23 November 2023, and the Chinese side informed them that they have not yet discovered any unusual or new pathogens or unusual clinical manifestations, only a variety of known pathogens causing a general increase in respiratory illnesses.
Chinese officials also say the increase in respiratory illnesses has not caused the number of patients to exceed hospital capacity.
Earlier, the World Health Organization requested the Chinese Communist government to provide detailed information due to the surge in cases. The authorities responded within 24 hours in accordance with regulations.
WHO seeks epidemiological, clinical information and laboratory results through the International Health Regulations mechanism.
Data shows that the increase in cases is related to the lifting of covid restrictions and the spread of known pathogens such as mycoplasma pneumoniae.
Mycoplasma pneumoniae, a common bacterial infection that usually affects young children, has been circulating since May. Influenza, respiratory syncytial virus and adenovirus have also continued to spread since October 2023.

Fever in children, the number of patients far exceeds the hospital's capacity
However, on social media in mainland China, children's fever, overcrowded children's hospitals and fever clinics are hot topics.
Regarding the recent "fever" in Beijing, Chao Shuang, deputy director of pediatrics at Beijing Tsinghua Chang Gung Memorial Hospital affiliated to Tsinghua University, told Chinese media on Thursday, "This may be the biggest pressure on pediatrics since our hospital opened."
The pediatric department where he works usually has about 300 emergency calls per day, but now it has exceeded 800, doubling the number.
According to a report by China Central Broadcasting Network, on November 21, at Beijing Children's Hospital (full name "Beijing Children's Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University"), the outpatient hall was filled with children and parents, and the infusion center was full of children with infusions and their families.
Li Yuchuan, director of the outpatient department of the hospital, said that the hospital's internal medicine department currently receives more than 7,000 patients per day, far exceeding the hospital's capacity. The hospital has poured resources into the internal medicine department and fever and cough clinic.
According to local media, Tianjin Children’s Hospital now receives an average of 13,000 patients a day, and some nurses even fainted due to overwork.
Pediatric emergencies in hospitals in Liaoning, Jilin, Shandong, Gansu and other places have also seen a surge in the number of children visiting the hospital, and the overall pediatric population is in a state of overload. According to local media reports, the pediatric department of Jinan Maternal and Child Health Hospital alone sees nearly 1,000 patients a day.

Currently, multiple virus epidemics have broken out in many places in China, and the number of patients in hospitals in various places has increased sharply. Experts are worried that Mycoplasma pneumoniae may be mixed with adenovirus, Streptococcus pneumoniae and other pathogens that cause respiratory infections.
Chinese media reported that pediatric outpatient departments, fever clinics, and infusion rooms in many hospitals in mainland China were crowded with patients. In addition to mycoplasma pneumonia infection, influenza, and covi infection, it also includes bacterial infection, norovirus infection, etc.
Lu Hongzhou, director of the National Clinical Research Center for Infectious Diseases and president of Shenzhen Third People's Hospital, told Chinese media that after the National Day holiday, the nucleic acid test results of his hospital showed that the highest positive rate of nucleic acid tests was Mycoplasma pneumoniae (34.33%), followed by influenza A virus (12.17%), influenza B virus (5.79%), respiratory adenovirus (2.76%), and respiratory syncytial virus (2.03%).
He warned that adenovirus and Streptococcus pneumoniae can be mixed with mycoplasma infection, and the younger the child, the greater the risk of mixed infection.
The Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued a notice on 21 November 2023 stating that Beijing is experiencing a co-prevalence trend of multiple pathogens. Currently, the top three are influenza, adenovirus, respiratory syncytial virus, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae. The epidemic intensity has dropped to fourth place. Among them, influenza is in the epidemic period, and the number of cases is rising rapidly.
Pediatric outpatient clinics and emergency rooms in major hospitals in many major cities in CCP China, including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangxi, Henan, Shenzhen, Jilin, Liaoning and other places, are full. Some hospitals have tens of thousands of people pouring in a day, and medical staff are at full capacity 24 hours a day. In such a state of operation, even asking the nurse to remove the needle after the injection of the suspension bottle is completed, patients have to queue up.
Mainland netizens said, "The mycoplasma infection has not been cured yet, and I am infected with influenza A... This winter is really difficult for children, and there are still patients in the hospital who can cough up their lungs and don't wear masks. ·······”
"This influenza is very serious. Not only children but many adults are also infected."
"I just came back from the hospital with my child (on the 24th). I called in at 7:30, but I didn't see him until 2:30 in the afternoon. The only emergency room and pediatric clinic in the entire hospital are open..."
"The operation ended today (24th). When I passed by the pediatric clinic, I found that there were still many children wearing masks and wearing sling bottles. There are indeed a lot of sick children during this period, especially at 6 or 7 o'clock in the afternoon. Children After school."
"It's been really bad recently. Four people in our family are sick. There are nearly 40 students in our children's class. For a long time, only about a dozen people have gone to school. This wave is really bad. It feels like mycoplasma has taken over a lot of students." Many."
On 21 November 2023, the Program for Surveillance of Emerging Diseases (ProMED), a large epidemiological surveillance database, issued an alert warning of an epidemic of "unknown pneumonia" among Chinese children. On the 22nd, the agency once again stated that based on preliminary reports, the "unknown pneumonia" outbreak in Chinese children is different from mycoplasma pneumonia.
On 22 November 2023, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a statement requesting the CCP to submit more epidemiological and clinical information, as well as experimental test results of these reported cluster cases in children. He also mentioned that it is unclear whether these data are related to the overall increase in respiratory infections previously reported by Chinese authorities or to individual incidents.

An agency that monitors global disease outbreaks warned for two consecutive days this week that an "unidentified respiratory disease (pneumonia)" is widespread among Chinese children.
The Program for Surveillance of Emerging Diseases (ProMED), a large epidemiological surveillance database, issued an alert on Tuesday (November 21), warning of an epidemic of "unknown pneumonia" among children in China. On 22 November 2023, the agency once again stated that based on preliminary reports, the "unknown pneumonia" outbreak in Chinese children is different from mycoplasma pneumonia.
ProMED was one of the first institutions to detect viral outbreaks including SARS, MERS and COVID-19. In late December 2019, ProMed first alerted the world to the covid outbreak, saying that the respiratory disease was sweeping the city of Wuhan.
Scientists this week expressed concern again about a mysterious "pneumonia-like" illness that they said was "overwhelming" Chinese hospitals with sick children.
Children's hospitals in many major cities in China, including Beijing, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Jilin, Liaoning and other places, are overcrowded. Even after the intravenous injection, there are queues to ask nurses to remove the needles.
The World Health Organization on Wednesday asked Beijing to provide more data on the disease, adding that it was unclear whether the figures were related to an overall increase in respiratory infections or isolated incidents previously reported by Chinese authorities.
An unknown pneumonia breaks out among children in mainland China
An editorial note published by ProMED on Tuesday said that media reports on the epidemic in mainland China indicate that there is "a widespread outbreak of an unknown respiratory disease (pneumonia)."
It added: "It is unclear when this outbreak began as it is unusual for so many children to be affected so quickly.
"ProMED will await more clear information on the cause and scope of this illness in China.
"It's too early to predict whether this might be another pandemic, but as a wise influenza virologist once told me, 'The pandemic clock is ticking, we just don't know when. .'" the editor wrote.
Official reports from the Chinese Communist Party have always stated that this is the first wave of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infections after COVID-19.
ProMED on Wednesday released a letter signed by Dr. Stephan Gibson. The letter states that this wave of pneumonia in Chinese children is "consistent with reports of nationwide mycoplasma pneumonia reported by Western and Chinese news sources" and has "currently lasted for at least two months."
"My personal experience is consistent with these reports: many friends are sick, with cough, lethargy, and high fever as the primary symptoms," Gibson wrote.
"Azithromycin and Doxycycline are effective in at least the few cases that I'm aware of," Gibson said. He believes that the symptoms of this disease are consistent with mycoplasma pneumonia.
ProMED editors responded to Gibson's letter and published their differing findings. They said they had also read reports of an outbreak of mycoplasma respiratory infections in China, "but in general, coughing tends to be a prominent symptom (of mycoplasma pneumonia) in older children and adults, and in younger children, it may be not cough, but you will have more upper respiratory tract symptoms and nausea, and vomiting will be more prominent."
The editors noted, "Preliminary reports of this wave of illness specifically stated 'no cough' and that the main symptom was high fever. Furthermore, the radiographic abnormalities were described as pulmonary nodules rather than the patchy infiltrates most commonly seen in mycoplasma pneumonia."

Respiratory disease cases soar in China; WHO calls for measures to provide details
China has seen a recent surge in respiratory cases. The World Health Organization called on Chinese people to take measures to reduce the risk of illness and asked local governments to provide detailed information.
The WHO issued a statement on the social media, pointing out that the National Health Commission of CCP China said at a press conference last week that CCP's lifting of coronavirus prevention measures, coupled with the spread of mycoplasma influenzae, respiratory syncytial virus, and covid, has led to an increase in respiratory cases.
The WHO pointed out that since the middle of last month, there have been more influenza-related cases in northern China than in the past three years, and there have also been cases of children being infected with pneumonia collectively. The WHO has expressed concern about this and has formally requested China to provide more relevant epidemiological and clinical information.
At the same time, the WHO also recommends that the Chinese people take anti-epidemic measures, including vaccination and wearing masks.

WHO: Covi variants continue to spread, still a threat

After the CCP gave up on the "dynamic clearing" campaign, "respiratory infections" occurred one after another in CCP China, and the outside world questioned the authorities' concealment of the epidemic. The World Health Organization recently announced that it will continue to pay attention to the spread of covi variants around the world.
Agence France-Presse reported on 22 November 2023 that World Health Organization (WHO) epidemiologist Maria Van Kerkhove said that day that the covid virus is currently spreading in every country and still poses a threat.
"We must remain vigilant because this virus is spreading, evolving and mutating," Van Kerkhove said during a discussion on WHO's social media channel.
There are currently three "variant strains that require attention" (XBB.1.5, XXB.1.16 and EG.5), and 6 "mutant strains under monitoring" that are of lower concern, but among them, BA.2.86 is also being upgraded. Van Kerhove said, "You need to pay attention to mutant strains."
She said the severity of BA.2.86 has not changed significantly but its detection numbers are "slowly and steadily increasing" around the world.
The WHO also released a new risk assessment of the EG.5 variant, whose genetic sequence accounts for about half of the globally shared data.
The CCP has been questioned for concealing the covid epidemic from the outside world. The WHO and the international community have criticized Beijing for not sharing true epidemic data. After the CCP gave up on "clearing the epidemic prevention", the epidemic broke out in large areas in CCP China, and the authorities suspended the release of infection data.
Since the beginning of 2023, multiple rounds of "respiratory tract infections" have broken out across CCP China. Currently, it is reported that children’s hospitals in Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning and other places are overcrowded and the pediatric department is on the verge of collapse. Many local netizens lamented that they seemed to have returned to the epidemic outbreak when the "clearance" was just released at the end of last year. Others broke the news that in addition to children, infections among local adults are also increasing rapidly. However, the CCP is still trying its best to cover up.
Many people suspect that the so-called "flu" and "mycoplasma pneumonia" widespread infections promoted by the CCP are actually caused by various mutant strains of the covi variant. Some people also speculate that large-scale infections or domestic vaccinations in the past may have destroyed immunity, which is why outbreaks of various infectious and malignant diseases occurred.

The epidemic situation in China is heating up again. Medical support has been mobilized from many places
Recently, the epidemic in China has heated up again, with multiple virus superinfections and a surge in children with fever. Many hospitals have mobilized medical staff from other departments to provide support. At the beginning of this year, the Chinese Communist Party relaxed its epidemic prevention and control measures without warning, and the epidemic broke out. Medical systems in various places are on the verge of collapse. Many hospitals' orthopedics and gynecology departments were converted into respiratory departments to treat infected patients.

The number of children with fever surges, and hospitals across the country mobilize medical support
Recently, superinfections such as mycoplasma pneumonia, influenza A, and covid have appeared in various parts of China. The number of outpatient visits at Tianjin Children's Hospital in a single day has exceeded 10,000, shocking public opinion. Other hospitals in Tianjin are also full.
On 21 November 2023, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine announced that in order to cope with the peak number of pediatric patients, the hospital’s leaders were on duty 24 hours a day, mobilized doctors with pediatric diagnosis and treatment qualifications in the hospital to support the pediatric outpatient clinic, and opened outpatient infusion channels to increase the number of medical staff.
All members of the pediatric department of the hospital are on hiatus, and the department director and deputy director are working night shifts every day. The number of pediatric emergency clinics has been increased, and the pediatric outpatient clinic hours have been extended to 8 pm.
Many hospitals in Beijing are also overcrowded. The number of registered patients at Beijing Children's Hospital exceeded 2,000 that day, and it was still crowded at 1 am.
China Medical University Aviation General Hospital issued a document on 17 November 2023 stating that the number of pediatric outpatient visits at the hospital continues to remain high, with daily outpatient visits between 550-650, an increase of 30%-50% compared with the same period in previous years. The hospital has deployed senior doctors from the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Neurology, Respiratory and Critical Care Departments to support the pediatric night outpatient and emergency department, and are specifically responsible for infusion follow-up visits to children.
Hospitals in Shenyang, Liaoning, are also overcrowded. The Northern War Zone General Hospital issued a document on 22 November 2023 stating that the pediatric outpatient clinic has been "full" for the past few days, with more than 900 patients being admitted every day, and the beds are "full" every day. Personnel are operating at full capacity 24 hours a day. The pediatric department has launched an emergency plan, dynamically adjusted visiting doctors, increased the number of ward beds, and arranged ward nurses to support outpatient clinics.
The International Department of Women and Children's Hospital in Qingdao, Shandong Province issued a document on 21 November 2023 stating that in order to cope with the surge in the number of pediatric patients, the International Department has deployed manpower from various departments to the pediatric outpatient clinic to provide reinforcements.
The Second People's Hospital of Dingxi City, Gansu Province issued a document on the 22nd stating that since the end of October, the number of pediatric outpatient and inpatient children in the hospital has continued to increase, and more than 20 new beds have been added to the pediatric ward. It is still "hard to find a bed", and the entire pediatric department is at a super high level of load operating status. The average working hours of medical staff is more than 10 hours, and many children treated by medical staff are also sick.
The WeChat official account of Jilin Meihekou Central Hospital posted on 21 November 2023 that with the surge in the number of pediatric patients, the operating pressure of pediatric outpatient and emergency departments is very high. It has now added 3 pediatric doctors and 7 nurses, and added 3 pediatric outpatient clinics, There is 1 pediatric emergency room and 2 additional doctors in the outpatient department.
Chen Dan, the attending physician of the emergency department of Zhejiang University Children's Hospital, recently told the "Medical Circle" that the outpatient volume of Zhejiang University Children's Hospital increased by more than 90,000 people in October compared with the same period last year, which is equivalent to more than 3,000 more patients every day. "After the covid epidemic ended at the beginning of the year, flu caught up with me. The flu just turned into mycoplasma pneumonia and it started to appear again. It continues to this day and has not stopped for a whole year."
Many medical staff revealed the true situation in the hospital on social media. "I am already a little drunk when I look up in the evening breeze" posted on Weibo on the 22nd: "The medical staff on duty last night were so busy that they could not sleep a wink all night. What saved them was that the bed was full, and the children were sent to the respiratory department. I handed over my shift this morning and told everyone that in addition to influenza A and B, syncytial virus, adenovirus, and mycoplasma infections, we also have covi infections. You must pay attention to rest during the rest period, and don’t rush to see the patient without wearing anything. This way it’s easy to fall for it.”

A nurse in Liaoning posted on social media on the 21st that the current situation in the hospital is the same as when the epidemic was just relaxed at the end of last year. The pediatric department of her hospital is full and a large number of medical staff are infected. Of the 12 people in her department, 9 people have fever. . A colleague bought a test kit during the epidemic, and the test showed two red lines. She exclaimed: "Influenza, mycoplasma, and covid are all coming together. It's so scary!"

The epidemic broke out in China, and all orthopedics and gynecology departments were changed to respiratory departments.
At the end of last year, the epidemic broke out in China, and the number of infected people increased dramatically. Hospitals in various places almost collapsed, and they were forced to change other departments such as orthopedics, gynecology, and dermatology into "respiratory departments." Some doctors said that during the epidemic, "the respiratory department supports the critical area, and other departments support the respiratory department" has become a daily routine for many doctors in second- and third-level hospitals.
There is a video showing that there are male patients infected with the epidemic lying in the obstetrics and gynecology department, and the pediatric clinic is also full of old men and old ladies. All the doctors and nurses are learning how to use ventilators and heart rate monitors. The doctors come to work even though they are sick, and their coughs are worse than the patients.
Some netizens said, "Now doctors in all departments in the hospital only treat one disease - COVID."

Multiple epidemics broke out in China, authorities conceal death data
Reporters : Xiong Bin and Boni / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/11/23/a103828824.html
Currently, multiple epidemics are prevalent in CCP China at the same time, and children's hospitals in many places are overcrowded. Some Beijing citizens revealed that this wave of epidemics has claimed many lives, but the authorities have blocked the information.
Recently, Li Yuchuan, director of the outpatient department of Beijing Children's Hospital, told the media that the hospital's internal medicine department currently receives more than 7,000 patients per day, far exceeding the hospital's capacity. It was also stated that influenza, respiratory syncytial virus, and adenovirus have replaced mycoplasma as the main pathogens at this peak of infection.
Mr. Sun, a Beijing citizen: "All four members of our family have caught colds, and the hospital is full. There are many students in primary schools and kindergartens, so they usually go to the children's hospital. There are many people, and some of them may be COVID-19. My son has a fever of over 39 degrees, and the test There are four kinds of viruses, mycoplasma, influenza A, COVID-19, and a kind of **."
A large number of videos leaked online showing that the Beijing Children's Hospital and Pediatric Research Institute were both full and still packed with people in the middle of the night. On the 22nd, some netizens posted photos showing the waiting times for pediatric outpatient and emergency rooms in some hospitals in Beijing, including 24 hours at Friendship Hospital. The number of pediatric patients in a children's hospital is 2329.
Mr. Wang, a Beijing citizen: "It feels like an epidemic broke out, but it was announced to be influenza. I suspect it is a mutated virus. The data is not released to the public. Now it is not allowed to be reported, and the information is covered up. Medical care cannot keep up now, and children hospital is currently unable to get admissions, and patients cannot be admitted to the hospital, so parents are also very worried now."
Beijing citizens criticized the CCP authorities for concealing the epidemic, promoting that the only way to prevent it was to take the domestically produced virus vaccine, and revealed that this wave of epidemic has claimed many lives. Normally, there is no need to queue up to receive ashes, but now they have to queue up.
Mr. Ma, a Beijing citizen: "I don't let you know about the virus at all, and let you die quickly. I only give you the vaccine. It will kill you. We don't vaccinate you. Nothing happens. I have medicine ready in case you feel sick.. Last month, my brother died of white lung disease. I arrived at Babaoshan before 7 o'clock, and queued for more than 2 hours. It took an average of 5 minutes to go through the formalities and check the ID card. How many people can you say?"
In addition to Beijing, hospitals in Tianjin, Dalian, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan and other places are all overcrowded. Zou Yingxue, chief physician and respiratory infection specialist at Tianjin Children's Hospital, said that in the past week, the combined daily outpatient and emergency volume volume in the two campuses of the Children's Hospital has exceeded 12,000.

The epidemic broke out in mainland China, and pediatricians in many places fainted after waiting for more than 24 hours in emergency wards

In recent months, the epidemic has exploded again in mainland China, especially children and young children who have borne the brunt. Pediatric hospitals and pediatric outpatient clinics in various places are overcrowded, and some emergency departments have to wait until 24 hours later. The pediatrician was so exhausted that he was on the verge of collapse and in a trance. Some hospital personnel said, "I can't finish the injections, and I feel like I have no hope of living anymore."
Recently, pneumonia infections have broken out in various parts of the mainland, and most of them are infants and children. The Chinese Communist Party officially calls it "mycoplasma pneumonia infection." Hospital wards are full, especially pediatric hospitals, and various places are close to collapse.
A doctor posted a video on the mainland Douyin platform, saying, "Today was too difficult. I only saw 60 children throughout the day, 35 in the morning and 25 in the afternoon. There were not many, but there were too many children with long illness and severe symptoms, and I didn't even dare to do anything. Relax. I didn’t get off work until 1 o’clock at noon. I didn’t drink a sip of water and the canteen was closed. I was very embarrassed. I didn’t dare to sign up in the afternoon. When I saw the last few patients, my brain was full of mush and I started to feel trance-like. I mustered up my energy to read it and staggered to get off work."
The doctor said: "For pneumonia alone, we saw ten people, most of whom were primary school students. Four of them had mild symptoms and were resolved with oral medication. Six more had to be hospitalized, but they couldn't be admitted, so they could only recommend hospitalization in other hospitals. But are there really beds in other hospitals? This wave of mycoplasma pneumoniae epidemic has exhausted both pediatricians and parents physically and mentally.”
Some netizens questioned the Chinese Communist Party’s official claim that this infection was a “mycoplasma infection.” “I never thought that a pneumonia could have so many complications, including pulmonary embolism and abnormal hypercoagulation. I was finally discharged from the hospital for review, and a lower right patient came. If the lungs are necrotic, the body resistance will not be as good as others in the future. The necrosis of one lobe of the lung will not have a protective effect. If the immunity is reduced, you will often get sick. Even if you get better in the future, you will not be able to exercise strenuously."

Recently, the epidemic situation in China has heated up again, with cluster infections breaking out in schools and kindergartens in many places, and mixed infections with multiple viruses such as covid virus, influenza A, and mycoplasma. A large number of children and students have taken leave and schools in many places have issued notices of school closures.
Starting from August 2023, many students and children began to have fever, which peaked in November. Many pictures and videos leaked on Chinese social media show that in many schools, a large number of students have fever and have taken leave for treatment. There are only a few students left in the classroom, and some teachers are also infected with fever and cannot teach.
So far, the Chinese Communist Party has not officially issued an epidemic prevention order requiring schools and educational institutions nationwide to suspend classes. However, due to too many sick students, school classes in various places have issued notices of class suspension on their own, and normal resumption of classes will depend on the situation.
The Education Bureau of Panjin City, Liaoning Province issued a notice on 22 November stating that because there are too many students at home who are sick, schools can carry out online teaching according to the situation.
Many parents of students are in favour of suspending classes. "We should really go home during the holidays. The infection is much worse than last year." "My children have a fever of over 39 degrees. Why do they go to school to get infected again after they are cured? This wave of viruses is very powerful. "
A parent of a child in Shaanxi posted a video saying that his child was diagnosed with mycoplasma pneumonia after having a fever for three days. There was no hospital bed and he could only be given intravenous drips in the outpatient department, but he did not get better. He said, "I really didn’t dare to go to this school, so I decided to suspend my children from school. It’s important to save my life!”
A school teacher took a video and said: "There are 43 children in the class, 25 have fever, and 18 are left in class. Classes will be suspended for another week starting tomorrow."
An epidemic broke out in a kindergarten in China. Half of the children had high fevers and the kindergarten decided to close classes.
The abnormal phenomenon of large-scale fever and pneumonia among children in China has attracted the attention of the international community. The World Health Organization issued a statement on 22 November 2023, formally requesting the Chinese Communist Party to provide detailed information on the increase in respiratory diseases and cluster pneumonia in children.
The Emerging Disease Surveillance Program of the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ProMED) also cited media reports on the 22nd, stating that "an undiagnosed respiratory disease has broken out widely in many areas of China. It is still unclear when the epidemic began. So many children are so... It's unusual to be affected so quickly."

Argentina's new president worries scientists
Reporter : Xingyu / https://news.sciencenet.cn/htmlnews/2023/11/512836.shtm / Image : Javier Milei (Luis Robayo/AFP via Getty Images)
Javier Milei was recently elected as the next president of Argentina, and many scientists in the country are worried about the future. Milei has said he would cut government spending, close or drastically restructure Argentina's main science funding agencies and consider eliminating departments dedicated to protecting public health and the environment.
According to Science, Alejandra Capozzo, an immunologist at Argentina’s National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICET) and director of the Laboratory of Applied Veterinary Immunology at the National Institute of Technology (INTA), worries that “we will become a country without science.”
In the election on 19 November 2023, Milei defeated Argentine Economy Minister Sergio Massa with a vote rate of 55.7% to 44.3%, and will be sworn in on 10 December 2023.
Voters are backing sweeping changes in Argentina's leadership after a decade of stagnant economic growth left the country deeply in debt to international lenders, with a poverty rate of 40% and inflation soaring to nearly 150% this year.
Scientists are particularly concerned about Milei's plans for CONICET. CONICET is Argentina's main scientific institution, with an annual budget of US$400 million and more than 11,800 researchers. CONICET is considered one of the top scientific organizations in Latin America. For the past 5 years, it has topped the regional rankings of government science organizations compiled by SCImago Institutional Rankings.
However, during the campaign, Milei asserted that CONICET was "ineffective" and suggested that the agency be abolished or reduced. "Conicet today will cease to exist," he promised. Milei also called the researchers "gnocchi," a derogatory term used for civil servants who are paid without working, and suggested they should "put a 'Earn your bread with your sweat'."
Capozzo said that given that Argentina's scientific community has been hit by a decade of economic turmoil, the move to reduce government support for science could "destroy" CONICET. She noted that scientists’ salaries in Argentina are already among the lowest in the region, and further cuts could force many researchers, including herself, to consider “looking for other options” or even leaving the country. Joaquin Navajas, a neuroscientist at the University of Torguato di Tera in Argentina, believes that if Milei's policies are fully implemented, it could trigger a more severe brain drain than what Argentina experienced during the political and economic turmoil of the 1990s.
However, it is unclear whether Milei will be able to fully realize his plan. Although he won the presidential election, his party, the Avantgarde Liberal Party, received relatively little support in Argentina's parliament, suggesting there will be fierce policy battles ahead.
Researchers say they are making preparations. "We must now protect what we have because Milei has vowed to take action against it," said Nadia Chiaramoni, a biomedical researcher at Argentina's National University of Quilmes. The researchers did not rule out the possibility of organizing protest mobilizations.
Regardless of the outcome of these debates, researchers say Milei's anti-science rhetoric has already caused damage. Navajas believes Milei has cast doubt on funding for scientific research amid the economic crisis.
"Regardless of whether CONICET is defunded or closed, Milei has taken away people's trust in us and it is irreparable," Capozzo said.

Trump calls for reform of Republican leadership, says debates are ineffective

Former President Donald Trump has just increased the risk of confrontation between his movement and the Republican establishment over core Republican issues.
On 20 November 2023, President Trump published an article on "Truth Social", focusing on the results of Harvard University's Center for American Political Studies and the Harris Poll. The latest poll results, saying both results suggest the Republican National Committee (RNC) should spend its money against Democrats instead of investing in more Republican presidential debates.
The former president wrote, "If not, reform the RNC now!"
Former President Trump’s remarks come just weeks away from the fourth Republican debate on 6 December 2023 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. President Trump, the Republican front-runner, has boycotted every debate so far.
Prior to this, the U.S. Republican 2024 candidate and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy had petitioned for the resignation of RNC head Ronna Romney McDaniel. He made the same request at the beginning of the third debate.
Ramaswamy is not alone in questioning Ms McDaniel's leadership, especially after Republican and Conservative proposals underperformed in multiple elections and referendums on 7 November. (See "Top Ten Things to Watch from Tuesday's U.S. Election: Their Impact on the 2024 Election") In recent weeks, Trump's allies have stepped up their criticism of her.
On 16 November 2023, Trump adviser Roger Stone said during an appearance on Kimberly Ann Guilfoyle’s Rumble show, “I think there needs to be a review of the expenses of the entire operation. "
Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) said in another recent interview, "I think Rhona McDaniel has a lot to hold accountable, and she has to do it quickly. You can't say that It's just a matter of the state parties, although in some elections - Ohio, Kentucky - there are a lot of questions that need to be answered by the state parties, but Rhona is the boss, she is the chair of the RNC, and she has to speak up. "
Ms. McDaniel is the niece of Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), who was appointed to her current position by President Trump early in his administration.
She responded to the criticism in a recent interview with CNN's Dana Bash.
“This kind of Republican infighting — I’m not running for president, so I’m not participating in this primary — doesn’t do our party any good,” she said.
Ms. McDaniel continued, "We need every Republican and more to win elections of all kinds. Republican voters want to hear what we think about the border, fentanyl, Israel, the education of our children, crime, currency, inflation. They want to see us take on Joe Biden."
The Republican National Committee chair also pledged to support President Trump if he wins the nomination. Trump refused to sign a loyalty pledge to support his party's final nominee, a prerequisite for participating in the debate.

Implications from a poll
A Harvard/Harris survey of more than 2,580 American voters last week showed that President Trump is deeply favoured by Republican voters.
When asked, 67% responded that President Trump would be their choice for president in the next election. Only 9% chose Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
DeSantis barely surpassed former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley with 8% support. Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy's approval rating was 5%, while only 3% of Republican voters surveyed said they would make former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie their commander-in-chief.
The former New Jersey governor has tried to hype up President Trump's absence in every debate so far. At the debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, he tried to turn the tables by calling the former president, who had a penchant for venomous nicknames, "Donald Duck."
President Trump said in his "Truth Social Media" post that Christie is "dead" and "a total loser!" He also used the term "bird brain" to refer to Ms. Haley, who is now becoming a major rival. He also called DeSantis "DeSanctimonious" (Note: sanctimonious means "pretending to be serious and sanctimonious"). Only Ramaswamy survived.
A majority of Harvard/Harris poll respondents predict President Trump will be the Republican nominee, although a majority of Democratic voters in the survey disagree. Notably, 84% of Republican respondents made this prediction, as did 70% of independent voters.
Additionally, two-thirds of respondents said they believed President Joe Biden seemed too old to be president, and 58% expressed doubts about his mental fitness to be president.
Republicans are optimistic about the prospects of California Governor Gavin Newsom running for president in 2024. Newsom will debate DeSantis later this month. Yet Newsom ranks only tied for fourth on a list of candidates Democratic voters say they want to run if President Biden drops out.
Nearly a quarter of respondents chose Vice President Kamala Harris, 13% chose Hillary Clinton, and 10% chose the multi-year Senator Bernie Sanders (Vermont), who has always held out hope for socialism.
Governor Newsom and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's approval ratings are tied at 7%.

The Chinese Communist Embassy urges Chinese citizens in Singapore to remit money back home through formal channels
The CCP China Embassy in Singapore once again reminds Chinese citizens in Singapore to choose formal banking channels to remit money back to their country, and not to remit money through other channels such as remittance companies.
In recent days, many local Chinese citizens working here have remitted money back home through remittance companies or money exchangers. Unexpectedly, their bank accounts were frozen by the local police for allegedly violating the law.
The Chinese Communist Embassy in Singapore pointed out that local Chinese citizens should follow the principle of being responsible for themselves and their families' "money bags" and choose regular banks to remit money back home.
The embassy also pointed out that it is currently in close contact with relevant local and Chinese units to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens in Singapore , and reminds affected people to pay attention to rational rights protection to avoid violating local laws and regulations and affecting normal work and life.
It is understood that more than 500 people have had their remittances frozen, involving more than 18 million yuan (approximately more than S$3.353 million).

Request for transaction information to unfreeze remittance was rejected. Victim: The remittance company refused to cooperate
The controversy over money laundering cases involving remittances back to CCP China has further spread. Some victims said that they learned from the joint statement between the police and the Monetary Authority that remittance transaction details could be obtained to help unlock the recipient's bank account. They went to the remittance company in Pearl Square, Chinatown to request documents, but they still returned without success.
When "8world News Network" reporters visited Pearl Square in Chinatown in the afternoon, they found that many victims were waiting in line outside the remittance centre on 19 November, wanting to obtain transaction details and other information and documents.
It is understood that more than 500 people have had their remittances frozen, involving more than 18 million yuan (approximately more than S$3.353 million). According to statistics, more than 80% of cases are related to Shanli Remittance Company.
Many victims pointed out that they learned from some media reports that they could obtain transaction details from remittance companies and forward them to the Chinese authorities to assist in the investigation and freeze of the payee's account, so they decided to queue up today to inquire.
Ms. Zhang, one of the victims, told reporters that she remitted 100,000 yuan (approximately S$18,640) back to China in November last year, but it was not until September this year that she learned that 50,000 yuan (approximately S$9,320) was suspected of Money laundering is frozen.
"It may be that the money was frozen because the investigation started recently. Our bank account in China only has more than 40,000 yuan (approximately S$7,456) left, so the entire account has been frozen."
She also said that she had called the police regarding the matter and had contacted the remittance company several times. She also said that she went to the remittance company again today in the hope of obtaining transaction details and other relevant documents to assist in the investigation, but the remittance company actually claimed that the documents were "commercial secrets" and refused to provide them.
Another victim, Mr. Zhou, said that he remitted a sum of 19,000 yuan (approximately S$3,540) to his wife on16 July 2023 but was unexpectedly informed on 16 October 2023 that the total amount was 21,105 yuan. (approximately S$3,934) were involved in cross-border online gambling cases and were frozen by the Chinese authorities due to suspected violations.
According to the description he provided, his remittance transaction was divided into two transactions, which were also transferred from two private bank accounts.
Mr. Zhou said the Chinese authorities asked him to provide the identity card numbers of the two bank account holders in order to unfreeze the funds for him. However, what makes him helpless is that it has been more than a month since he sent an email at the request of the remittance company, but he has still not received a reply.
Another victim, Mr. Gao, said in an interview that he also sent money to his wife in May this year. As a result, about 34,000 yuan (approximately S$6,300) was transferred from a local personal account, and he was accused of committing a crime and his bank account is frozen.
He also said that once the bank account is frozen, it will have a profound impact on his family. "It's like leaving a stain. My wife can't open an account in another bank, and my children will encounter obstacles in their studies and even job hunting in the future, let alone getting admitted to the civil service exam."

Police urge victims of remittance cases not to gather illegally. Monetary Authority of Singapore: Remittance companies also need full help
The controversy over the freezing of local remittances to CCP China continues to spread. The police and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) said that after in-depth evaluation of the victim's report, they believed that the criminal offense mentioned in the report did not occur locally. However, MAS said that it has clearly instructed remittance companies to fully cooperate and assist remitters to unfreeze their accounts, while the police reminded victims not to engage in illegal gatherings.
The Singapore Police Force and the MAS said in a joint statement to 8world News Network on 19 November that they had received reports of suspected violations of agreements by certain remittance companies.
"After careful review of the police report and discussions with the Attorney-General's Chambers, they have made an assessment and concluded that there was no relevant crime committed locally."
The authorities said they understand the anxiety and concerns of remitters and have provided assistance in various ways.
However, the authorities also said that Singapore has no overseas jurisdiction, so affected remitters need to cooperate with remittance companies and provide identification documents, transaction receipts, account suspension certificates and other information to the law enforcement authorities in the country where they are located.
"The MAS has contacted relevant remittance companies and made it clear to them that it hopes they will fully assist affected remittances."
The MAS said that if the remitter does not receive response and assistance from the remittance company, he or she can write to the MAS via https://eservices.mas.gov.sg/feedback/ to request assistance.
The authorities also suggest that affected remitters may also seek assistance from the Chinese Communist Embassy in Singapore.
Those who assemble illegally may be fined S$3,000 to S$5,000.
"8world News Network" reported earlier that about 300 Chinese employees sent money to China through a remittance company in Chinatown, but their accounts were frozen by the Chinese police and they were unable to withdraw the money. Affected people go to the remittance company in Chinatown every week to seek explanations, and there are large gatherings.
To this end, the police remind the public that organizing or participating in public gatherings without police permission will violate the Public Order Act 2009. Organizers can be fined up to 5,000 yuan, and participants can be fined up to 3,000 yuan.
"While we understand the frustration and anxiety of the affected Chinese workers, the police will not hesitate to deal with anyone who breaks the law in Singapore, including participating in illegal gatherings."

U.S. Media: How much technology has CCP obtained from Israel, especially military technology?
On 21 November 2023, Chinese Communist President Xi Jinping once again stated at the special meeting of the BRICS that the "fundamental cause of the conflict between Israel and Hamas is that the Palestinian people's rights to statehood, survival, and return have long been undermined and disregarded". In the Israel-Hamas conflict, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s official position has been accused of being "pro-Hamas neutral" - seemingly neutral, but in fact partial to Hamas. Anti-Israel sentiment among Chinese people is even higher.
Hu Xijin, former editor-in-chief of the Chinese Weibo "Global Times", said not long ago that even if CCP China does not "stand with Israel" at this time, "little Israel" is not "qualified" to "bear grudges against China" because China is a "big country" ", Israel does not dare to "really offend China." Analysts say that China's pro-Palestinian stance will definitely make Israel reconsider its relationship with China, especially the two countries' military and other technical cooperation.

Israel was once the “teacher” of China’s drone technology
After Hamas launched a terrorist attack on Israel on 7 October 2023, Israel was eager to purchase low-priced small four-copter drones. According to the Wall Street Journal, many of the thousands of drones shipped from the United States to Israel were manufactured by Chinese companies.
CCP China has now become a major UAV producer and exporter in the world but the development of Chinese UAV technology cannot be achieved without the help of Israel. A report published by the Internet Industry Research Institute of Tsinghua University mentioned that the first stage of China's drone development was the technology introduction stage, which came from procurement from Israel.
In an article published on 2 October 2023, the military blogger "Paoba 707 Military Intelligence Station" with nearly 70 million views on Sohu called Israel the "teacher" of China in the field of drones.
In 1994, Israel exported the "Harpy" anti-radiation suicide drone to China. It was one of the most advanced anti-radiation drones in the world at the time and was also used by China as a trump card to break through Taiwan's air defense system. China later conducted reverse engineering mapping of the drone and equipped the Chinese army with a copy of the ASN-301 anti-radiation drone. In 2017, when China put this imitation model on display for sale, many Chinese media used the title "From imitation to export", which shows the impact of Israeli technology on the CCP People's Liberation Army's improvement of military power.
Although Israel has an area of just over 22,000 square meters and a population of only 9.73 million (according to the latest data in 2023), it has always been one of the military powers in the Middle East. Israel's technology and innovation capabilities lead the world. According to the 2022 Global Innovation Index, Israel ranks 16th among all countries. In 2023, the Israeli capital Tel Aviv ranked fifth in the annual survey of the world's most attractive ecosystems for startups and innovation, conducted by US research company Startup Genome. The survey also showed that Israel is the country with the highest rate of entrepreneurship per capita.
In the field of science and technology, especially in the sensitive military industry, Israel has given China great help. Cooperation between Israel and China in the military field can be traced back to the 1980s, even before Israel and China formally established diplomatic relations. Israel sells advanced technology and equipment to China, including Harpy anti-radiation suicide drones, Snake-3 air-to-air missiles and Lion fighter jets, to help China upgrade its army and air force.
Israel not only exports the Snake-3 air-to-air missile to China, but also engages in technical cooperation with China. The missile was localized by China and named the Thunderbolt-8 air-to-air missile. This is China's first air-to-air missile with advanced performance, which has greatly improved China's fighter missile capabilities. The Sina report called this a "gift from Israel."

Israel has maintained technical cooperation with CCP China for many years, despite pressure from the United States
In 1989, after the "June 4th Incident" in Beijing, when the United States and the European Union imposed an arms embargo and many other restrictions on China, Israel was one of the few countries that maintained good relations with both the United States and CCP China. The Harpy drone mentioned above was sold by Israel to China in 1994. However, in 2004, Israel did not help China upgrade the technology of its Harpy UAV due to U.S. restrictions.
During this period, military cooperation between Israel and CCP China also experienced several setbacks due to U.S. opposition. In 2000, Israel originally sold the "Falcon" airborne early warning system to China, but the U.S. government restricted Israel's arms exports to 27 countries, including China, and the sale was canceled. In 2013, the United States believed that Israel had transferred confidential American missile technology and optoelectronic technology to China, and the head of defense exports at the Israeli Ministry of Defense had to resign.
The Falcon and Habi incidents marked a turning point in military-technical cooperation between Israel and China. Gedaliah Afterman, director of the Asia policy program at the Abba Eban Institute for International Diplomacy, an Israeli think tank, told reporters that because “Israel is basically exporting any military technology to China. To obtain U.S. approval,” the nature of cooperation between Israel and China shifted “from previously military-focused interactions toward civilian technology and infrastructure.”
Dr. Timothy R. Heath, senior fellow for international defense at the RAND Corporation, a US think tank, told VOA in an email interview: "Israel has reduced many of its defense ties with CCP China after Washington exerted pressure many years ago on cooperation projects.” He Tianmu believes that the United States’ concerns about Israel’s cooperation with China are partly due to smart security risks. He also said: "Israeli assistance to the People's Liberation Army may help China develop weapons capable of targeting U.S. forces in a potential conflict near Taiwan."
Although defense cooperation projects have decreased, innovation and research cooperation between the two countries in areas such as infrastructure construction, agricultural technology, biopharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence, and environmental protection have increased.
The "China Connects" database of the British Institute for International Strategic Studies (IISS) shows that although Israel has not officially signed to join China's "Belt and Road" initiative, China's "Belt and Road Initiative" projects in the Middle East are based in Israel the most. In 2015, Shanghai International Port obtained a 25-year concession right to the Haifa New Port Terminal, which opens in 2021. Haifa is a port of call for the U.S. Navy's Sixth Fleet.
In 2015, Changzhou, Jiangsu Province built the first innovation demonstration park jointly signed by the Israeli and Chinese governments. According to information on the official website, the park has gathered 188 companies wholly owned by Israel or cooperating between the two countries, facilitating a total of 46 scientific and technological cooperation projects between the two countries, covering multiple industrial fields such as intelligent manufacturing, life sciences, new materials, and modern agriculture. In 2022, Changzhou also held the "China-Israel Innovation Cooperation Week".
In the field of agricultural science and technology that Israel is good at, Israel has brought advanced irrigation and seed cultivation technologies to China. The Israeli company Netafim brought advanced drip irrigation technology and equipment and provided comprehensive and customized drip irrigation solutions to Ningxia, which is extremely short of water, and was praised by the Chinese official media "Guangming Daily". Israel has also actively introduced seawater desalination technology to China, which is scarce in water resources, and participated in China's largest seawater desalination project in Tianjin in 2007.
The friendship between Israel and China was praised by Xi Jinping in January 2022. When exchanging congratulatory messages with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, he pointed out that "since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Israel, the friendship between the two peoples has grown and deepened day by day. Bilateral relations have achieved considerable development."
Israel's cooperation with CCP despite U.S. pressure is often praised by the CCP's official media. In May 2023, CCP China's official Xinhua News Agency published an article titled "The United States blocks Israel from cooperating with China. This is not a PUA." It mentioned that "innovative cooperation between China and Israel is sincere and mutually beneficial." ", "China has a vast market and Israel has advanced technology. The two are a natural match", "Most Israelis recognize the friendship with China and the innovative cooperation between China and Israel."
Israel is also a major chip R&D and manufacturing country in the world. It has nearly 200 companies in the chip industry and is home to the R&D centers of chip giants such as Apple, Samsung, and Qualcomm. Since the Sino-U.S. trade war in 2018, Israel’s exports of semiconductors and chips to China have increased significantly. According to data on the website of the Ministry of Commerce of China, Israeli semiconductor exports to China increased by 80% in 2018, reaching US$2.6 billion.

CCP’s “pro-Hamas neutrality” may make Israel re-examine its relationship with China
After Hamas launched a terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, China has not explicitly condemned Hamas and is considered by many to be "pro-Kazakhstan neutral." On November 21, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended a special meeting of the BRICS and still did not condemn Hamas, saying that the “fundamental cause of the conflict between Israel and Kazakhstan is the long-term struggle for the Palestinian people’s rights to statehood, survival, and return.” Being ignored.”
Tianmu He, a senior fellow for international defense at the RAND Corporation, said Israel's enthusiasm for such defense cooperation with China should cool down after Beijing expressed support for the Palestinians.
"After China embraces Palestinian demands, cooperation between CCP and Israel in other areas such as infrastructure, technology, education and science may be affected," he said.
He believes that Beijing's support for Palestine may be due to China's dependence on oil imports from Muslim countries in the Middle East. It hopes to establish itself as a defender and leader of developing countries and improve its reputation among Muslim countries.
Afterman of the Abba Ebon Institute for International Studies, an Israeli think tank, said that although Israel-China relations have "become increasingly difficult to manage" in recent years, until October 7, "both sides are interested in maintaining a productive relationship."
If it were not for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was originally scheduled to visit Beijing in October 2023.
Afterman said that China's actions since 7 October 2023 showed that "Israel does not rank high in its strategic considerations" and that China also believes that "in the more important regional and geopolitical strategic game, it is not important to Israel." The damage to China-Israel relations can be controlled."

CCP causes frustration and anger in Israel
However, Aftertman said CCP's failure to condemn Hamas's brutal attacks on Israel has caused frustration and anger in Israel. This, coupled with the increase in extreme anti-Israel and anti-Semitic rhetoric in Chinese media and social media, has made Israelis realize that despite CCP’s claims of neutrality, it does choose sides. He believes that "this may promote a change in policy thinking, that is, Israel will limit its dependence on CCP China."
Aftertman predicted that Israel may still maintain trade and economic relations with CCP China in the future, "but the prospects for establishing a closer political partnership between the two countries may be limited."

On the anniversary of the White Paper Movement, experts predict that China may change at any time

November 24 is the first anniversary of China’s “White Paper Movement”. The outside world has discovered that over the past year, the resistance of the Chinese people at home and abroad has intensified, and during the recent US-China summit, various protest groups rarely unanimously chanted slogans such as "The Communist Party should step down". Experts predict that China's political changes may occur at any time.
On 24 November 2022, a fire broke out in a residential building in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Affected by strict lockdown measures, at least 10 people were killed and 9 injured. After the fire, large-scale anti-lockdown protests broke out in many cities in China. Chinese students and Chinese from all over the world also participated in the movement to support the movement. Slogans such as "Down with the Communist Party!" and "Xi Jinping steps down!" spread from home to abroad.
The White Paper Movement is considered to be the largest protest demonstration that has occurred in China in recent years. Since then, the target of Chinese people's protests has become more and more clearly aimed at the Chinese Communist regime.
"Human Rights Watch" issued an article on 19 November stating that the CCP's control has not prevented the Chinese from promoting justice and pursuing universal values.
Human Rights Watch said that although the protests triggered by the White Paper Movement have subsided, many young people in China, especially those in coastal cities, and other overseas Chinese students, continue to criticize the Chinese Communist Party government under Xi Jinping.
In late October this year, thousands of young people in Shanghai celebrated Halloween, with some wearing costumes such as CCTV cameras, subtly mocking the Chinese government's repression. Others dressed up as beggars to satirize China's economic downturn and the high unemployment rate among young people.
In November, former Chinese Premier Li Keqiang died suddenly, and the cause of his death was questioned by all walks of life. People posted a quote on the Internet that Li Keqiang once said, "The Yangtze and the Yellow Rivers will not flow backwards," as a subtle criticism of the Chinese Communist Party leader.
Elaine Pearson, Asia director of Human Rights Watch, said in the article, "Today, ten years after Xi Jinping's increasingly repressive rule, the undercurrent of pursuing a more just China continues to inspire many Chinese."
During the recently concluded U.S.-China Summit and APEC meeting, an unprecedented anti-communist wave erupted in San Francisco, the host city of the United States. Hundreds of protest groups came from Tibet, Xinjiang, the pro-democracy movement, petitioners, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc., which was rare. They unanimously shouted slogans such as "Down with the Communist Party" and "Communist Party Step Down" to protest against the dictatorship and tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party and called for an end to the Chinese Communist regime.
Wang Youqun, a former official of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and a current affairs commentator, recently wrote in The Epoch Times that at this year’s APEC summit, protesters who came from all over the United States and around the world actually shouted the same slogans: “Step down the Communist Party” and “Step down Xi Jinping.” Perhaps this is the human equivalent of the celestial phenomenon of "Heaven destroys the CCP".
The term "Heaven destroys the CCP" was first proposed by The Epoch Times in a series of editorials "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" in 2004. It means that the CCP is an evil party that harms all mankind. When God wants to eliminate this evil, humans can only get the protection of God by guarding their conscience and obeying God's will and withdrawing from the CCP organization.
Wang Youqun said that many Chinese people at home and abroad are preparing for the collapse of the CCP. “China’s great changes have come about because of the right time (God will destroy the CCP), the right location (the world surrounds the CCP), and the people (both internal and external). If there is another stab, a heart-wrenching emergency may trigger a turbulent wave of political upheaval."

Li Keqiang’s sudden death leaves the top leader of Zhongnanhai’s sensitive agency a mystery
Editor : Li Enzhen / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/11/23/a103828806.html / Image : The internal fighting among the top leaders of the CCP is becoming increasingly fierce. The picture shows a schematic diagram. (Kevin Frayer/Getty Images)
In recent years, the Chinese Communist Party authorities have expanded the power of central departments through so-called "institutional reforms," but so far, the candidates for the "top leaders" of many sensitive offices remain a mystery. The sudden death of Chinese Communist Premier Li Keqiang six months after leaving office has reminded the outside world of the fierce infighting among the top leaders of the CCP.
After the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the top leadership of the CCP weakened the power of then Premier Li Keqiang through the institutional reform of the State Council. A number of departments of the State Council were merged into Party departments, or were controlled by the Party system in disguise. At the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China last year, all the Youth League faction represented by Li Keqiang were eliminated, and Xi Jiajun took control of the entire core party and government institutions.
On 23 November, a signed article in Hong Kong's "Ming Pao" mentioned that in some central-level committees (leading groups) after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the highest level no longer seems to serve as director (team leader), such as the Central Financial and Economic Commission, the Central Committee Comprehensively Deepening Reform Committee, the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, the Central National Security Commission, the Central Audit Commission, etc. are still in charge at the highest level.
The article said that only these committees or leadership groups have offices under their respective jurisdictions, and the office directors are the managers of the daily operations of these committees (groups) but the level of these office directors is not low, at least at ministerial level, many are deputy state level, and even state level.
For example, the directors of the Central Financial Office under the Central Financial Commission of the Communist Party of China and the Central Financial Office under the Central Financial and Economic Commission are both Politburo members and Vice Premier He Lifeng.
On 20 November 2023, Premier Li Qiang of the Communist Party of China was confirmed to have been appointed director of the Central Financial Commission. Public opinion generally believes that Li Qiang, who is in charge of the economy, has gradually lost his real power.
However, in some sensitive departments, we do not even know who the “top leaders” are.
For example, the article gives an example of the National Security Office under the Central National Security Commission. The outside world still has no idea who the director is. They only know that Liu Haixing, the executive deputy director, is also a minister. The "director of the Central Office of Comprehensive Law-based Governance of the Country" has not yet been announced. It is only known that the executive deputy director is the Minister of Justice, He Rong, who concurrently serves.
The director of the Military-Civil Integration Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China is also anonymous. Even Lei Fanpei, the executive deputy director, has not publicly acted in this capacity. His official resume online is still "former chairman of China State Shipbuilding Corporation". What may happen to those who don't know? I also cannotfigure out why a chairman of a central enterprise became a member of the Central Committee after resigning.
In addition to the above-mentioned organizations and personnel layout that are confusing to the outside world, there is also news that the top leaders of the CCP have also set up more mysterious organizations in recent years to carry out secret missions similar to assassinations, leading to the mysterious deaths of more and more high-ranking officials.
Gao Guangjun, a former teacher at the Public Security University of China and now a lawyer in the United States, revealed in the "Elite Forum" program that the Central Military Commission established an operations bureau directly under the Central Military Commission in 2017 to specialize in various secret operations, including handling difficult cases. A difficult person to deal with publicly.
On 27 October 2023, former Chinese Premier Li Keqiang died suddenly and mysteriously. Public opinion generally believes that he died directly or indirectly due to infighting among the top leaders of the CCP.
"The Epoch Times" editor-in-chief Guo Jun said in the "Pinnacle View" that Li Keqiang's mysterious death will have a chemical reaction on the politics of the top leadership of the CCP, and will have a long-term effect. The biggest problem now is that the cause of Li Keqiang's death is unknown, and the actions of the Beijing authorities have caused fear and suspicion in both civil and military officials in the the CCP regime. No one feels safe.
Guo Jun said that in the past, it was said that handing over power would probably ensure one's own safety, but that seems to be no longer possible now. Once power is handed over, it may also be eradicated. At this level, the actions of these officials may become unfathomable. Some may choose to make a desperate move, or choose to fight to the death.
Wu Guoguang, an alumnus of Li Keqiang from Peking University and a professor of politics and history at the University of Victoria in Canada, once wrote an article in Voice of America saying that the tragedy of Li Keqiang’s life is another manifestation of the CCP system. Just like the "Iron Chain Women", the fate of senior officials in Zhongnanhai is the same. Under the Communist system, who doesn’t live a miserable life and die a useless person? !

What is dictatorship? Taiwan legislator gives an example: I don’t know how Li Keqiang died

Recently, Wang Dingyu, a legislator of Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party who has a tough attitude towards the CCP, pointed out that the CCP is a dictatorial government. “What is democracy and dictatorship? Look at China. How did Li Keqiang die? Do not know at all".
Taiwan’s general election is approaching, and political parties with a tough stance on the CCP have gained more public support. Wang Dingyu said in a TV program recently that Taiwan is a democratic government, while the Chinese Communist Party is a dictatorship.
Wang Dingyu took the death of former Premier Li Keqiang of the Chinese Communist Party as an example. "The Chinese Communist Party officially announced the day before yesterday that he died of a heart attack yesterday. Then people in his hometown went to lay flowers and express their opinions but were suppressed. How did he die? I don't know; how can I miss him? No. That’s right, that’s called dictatorship.”
Li Keqiang, 68, died suddenly and mysteriously in Shanghai just over six months after his retirement. According to official reports, Li Keqiang "died in Shanghai at 0:10 on October 27." The cause of death was a heart attack and he died after rescue efforts failed.
However, the outside world discovered that many Chinese media with official background of the CCP, such as Phoenix.com, Beijing News, and Beijing Youth Daily, reported the news of Li Keqiang’s death as early as 7 pm on October 26, and the date of his death. The date and time were exactly the same as the news released by Xinhua News Agency later, and it was suspected of being a "prophecy."
Many state media "announced" the death of Li Keqiang in advance, triggering heated discussions in the public opinion. People doubted the real cause of Li Keqiang's death: "It was indeed a preemptive news report." "It was predicted in advance that Li Keqiang would die, so this time it was an artificial death."
Li Keqiang is considered to be the weakest prime minister in the history of the Chinese Communist Party. During his ten years in office, he has been suppressed by the CCP leader and his power has been evaded. He has almost no say in political decision-making, and some of his remarks are "out of tune" with the CCP leader, which makes him dissatisfied. .
Last year at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, former General Secretary Hu Jintao, a representative of the Youth League faction, was forcibly removed from the venue, and Li Keqiang, who was promoted by Hu, retired early. At the two sessions of the Communist Party of China in March this year, Li Keqiang hurriedly finished the government work report in an hour and left sadly. Xi Jinping shook hands with him briefly but did not look at him.
Shortly after his retirement, Li Keqiang died suddenly in Shanghai, becoming the shortest-lived prime minister in the history of the Chinese Communist Party. His sudden death was allegedly related to the infighting within the CCP.
On 27 October 2023, the day the CCP officially announced Li Keqiang’s death, Wang Dingyu posted on Facebook that the CCP’s foreign minister and defense minister had disappeared for a month and then resigned. The deputy commander of the CCP Rocket Force committed suicide, and later the entire senior leadership team Li Keqiang was exterminated and removed from office, and there are other large and small purges within the CCP.
He also asked, "Does anyone know where the former General Secretary Hu Jintao is who was dragged away from the conference?"
Yokogawa, an expert on China issues, told The Epoch Times on November 6 that civilians may die from acute heart disease, but Premier Li Keqiang will not die like this. From a medical perspective and the health care system of senior CCP officials, this matter is absolutely will not happen.
He believes that the Tuan Faction and Jiang Faction have no motive or opportunity to harm Li Keqiang. "Only those in power have such opportunities, motives and means. This does not necessarily mean Xi Jinping, but they must be powerful people now." .
Yokogawa said that after Li Keqiang retired, the leader of the Communist Party of China may regard Li Keqiang as a threat to him due to rumors that "Xi is under and Li is above."
He believes that Li Keqiang's death has had an impact on the CCP regime. "Officials will think, even the Prime Minister is like this, so who are we? The rabbit dies and the fox is sad. China's officialdom is already in a flat state, and this time there will be a greater impact. This impact accumulates, it will be effective when a major event occurs in the future."

Registration for the presidential and vice-presidential elections closes at 5 pm on 24 November 2023 but Blue and White has staged a whole day of "farce" on 23 November. In the morning, the KMT presidential candidate Hou You-ih and the public Party presidential candidate Ko Wenje and independent presidential candidate Terry Gou talked to each other apart from each other. They could not agree on the "discussion location". In the end, Hou Youyi, accompanied by Kuomintang Chairman Zhu Lilun and former President Ma Ying-jeou, went to the Grand Hyatt Hotel to meet with Ke Wenje. Unexpectedly, during the talks, the three parties each said their own things and were very explosive, and Blue and White were once again on the verge of collapse.
At 10 am, Hou You-ih revealed in an interview that he had received a text message from Ko Wenje. Ko proposed that the two sides meet today. Hou You-ih invited Ko to meet in former President Ma Ying-jeou's office. The Ma Office subsequently stated that as long as Hou and Ko reach a consensus, the Ma Office will cooperate fully.
Faced with Hou You-ih's invitation, Ko Wenje went to Gou Taiming's home at about 9:00 in the morning. Ko Jingban spokesperson Dai Yuwen said that Hou called and "informed" that he would go to the Horse Development Office, but Ko "did not agree" to go; Gou Office spokesperson Chen Jiayi then invited Ko Wenje and Hou Yu-ih to hold a "Blue and White Guo" integration meeting again.
Hou You-ih was interviewed at the Horse Racing Office and said that he and Ko had already made an appointment for the two of them to meet at the Horse Racing Office. Why should we change the meeting to another place? He emphasized that "it starts from this place and ends here."
At 12.45 pm, the Office of the Chief Executive issued a press release inviting Terry Gou and Hou ou-ih to meet publicly at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in the afternoon, taking a key step towards integrating Taiwan's future. Later, Gou Taiming posted on Facebook that both Mr. Gou and Hou Yu-ih asked him to be a "bucket hoop", come to facilitate the "Blue, White, and Kuo" tripartite talks, emphasizing that "we have now entered the countdown stage of electoral registration. This is a critical moment for changing Taiwan. Everyone in Taiwan is not an outsider."
At 3 pm, Terry Gou and Ko Wenje arrived at the Grand Hyatt Hotel and called on Hou You-ih to come over to discuss the three-party integration of "Blue and White"; Hou Jingban's deputy CEO Xie Zhengda, spokesperson Qian Zhenyu and KMT deputy secretary-general Jiang Junting also went to the Grand Hyatt Hotel, but After inviting the Ko and Gou camps to meet at the MTO, they left first. Office of Gou placed a countdown timer at the Grand Hyatt to the registration deadline for the presidential and vice-presidential elections until 5 pm on 24 November 2023.
At 3:40 p.m., Li Lizhen, spokesperson of Hou's office, told the media that Hou Yu-ih was willing to go to the Grand Hyatt Hotel proposed by Ko and Gou for talks at 4:30, and Ma Ying-jeou would also go to the Grand Hyatt Hotel together as a witness.
At 4 p.m., Gou's camp issued a statement stating that "Ma Ying-jeou has not been invited."
At 4:50 p.m., Hou Yu-ih, Zhu Lilun (or Eric Chu), and Ma Ying-jeou arrived at Grand Hyatt.
At 5:30 pm, Zhu, Hou, Ma, Gou and Ko held key blue-white talks.
Unexpectedly, the three parties' speeches during the talks were very explosive. Ko mocked Hou for participating in the negotiation and brought a nanny; Hou demanded that Ko must abide by the six agreements currently signed; Gou mocked Ma and Zhu as uninvited guests. In the end, seeing the whole meeting in a stalemate with everyone talking about different things, Hou Ma Zhu left angrily, and everyone finally dispersed.
At 7.30 p.m., the Kuomintang held an emergency press conference in the party. Party spokesperson Yang Zhidan said, "Ma, Zhu, and Hou have all been publicly humiliated, but they will persist until the last moment for the future of Taiwan society."
At 8.27 p.m., the People's Party issued a notice for tomorrow, revealing that Ko Wenje will go to the Central Election Commission with his deputy at 11 o'clock to register candidates for the 16th President and Vice President of the Republic of China.
At 8.49 pm, the Kuomintang announced the latest announcement. Party Chairman Zhu Lilun holds a regular meeting of the Central Committee at 11 am on 24 November 2023.

It was determined that Zhao Shaokang, chairman of China Broadcasting Corporation, and Hou Yu-ih, the party's presidential candidate, will form the "Hou Zhao Pei" candidate. After the election, Hou attended the regular meeting and personally announced the deputy. Kuomintang Chairman Zhu Lilun announced on the spot that he had issued a party-wide mobilization order, asking the entire party to unite and support Hou. In his speech, Hou said that just before stepping into the door of the Central Committee of the Standing Committee, he had "called again (Kuomintang Chairman Ko Wenje), but he did not "take over", and emphasized that he had "waited until the last minute". Now that the time has come, he must choose a vice presidential candidate to fight alongside him, that is, Zhao Shaokang.

Zhu Lilun ordered the entire party to mobilize
Hou said that he originally hoped to cooperate with Blue and White with the unanimous support of 60% of the public opinion. He used the greatest heart and sincerity, and even hoped that everyone would move forward with each other in good faith and reach a joint cabinet and many political ideas. But in the end, he disappointed 60% of the public, which he regretted very much.
Zhu Lilun said that he and Hou suffered hardships, but they could not regain their sincerity. They adhered to integrity but could not get real cooperation. Only the entire Kuomintang united and fought to the end to fight for the Republic of China to the end.

Reporter : Wu Liangyi / https://news.ltn.com.tw/news/politics/breakingnews/4500306 / Image : Terry Gou issued a withdrawal statement. (Photo provided by Terry Gou’s camp)
Independent presidential candidate Terry Gou issued a withdrawal statement at 2.14 pm pn 24 November 2023, saying that those who achieve great things will not care about reputation or reputation. Finally, he also said that "people will quit, but their ambition will not quit" and "complete the rotation of political parties and change Taiwan." . Terry Gou's camp issued a statement on Terry Gou's withdrawal this afternoon, which was only a few hundred words long. It also stated that it would not hold another press conference, which aroused media doubts.
Statement content:
In the world’s business battlefield,
I never bowed my head;
On the level of caring for the people of Taiwan,
I can never let it go.
If no one is willing to bend down,
For Taiwanese who are looking forward to the change of government,
Why is it so embarrassing?
Those who achieve great things do not care about reputation or reputation;
Terry Gou may be forgotten,
But for the future of the Republic of China,
Choosing to be fulfilled is all the love I can dedicate to my hometown.
"When people retreat, ambition never retreats; STOP, RESET, RESTART."
Must win! Okay?
Complete the regime change and change Taiwan.
God bless the Republic of China!
