国际机构接医生报告:中国不明肺炎是流行病
An agency that monitors global disease outbreaks published a letter from a doctor on Friday (24 November 2023) saying that they heard that the unknown pneumonia in China is an epidemic. It is an epidemic that affects patients of all ages.

The Program for Monitoring Emerging Diseases (ProMED) published a letter from a doctor named Robin Motz on Friday. The letter said: "I heard from a Chinese doctor colleague that (this time) viral pneumonia is an epidemic, affecting all ages. Patients often subsequently develop bacterial pneumonia and show sensitivity to levofloxacin."

The editor of ProMED responded: "As at this time, as earlier this week, there is no direct evidence that the new pathogen exists, but ProMED is waiting for more definite diagnostic information."

ProMED warned for two consecutive days earlier this week that an "unknown respiratory disease (pneumonia)" was widespread among Chinese children. According to preliminary reports, this "unknown pneumonia" is different from the officially known mycoplasma pneumonia.

ProMED is of the first institutions to detect viral outbreaks including SARS, MERS and COVID-19 (covid). In late December 2019, ProMed first alerted the world to the covid outbreak, saying that the respiratory disease was sweeping Wuhan.

So far, the governments of Japan, India, and the United Kingdom have stated that they are paying close attention to the development of this unknown pneumonia epidemic in China.

To avoid public panic, the CCP must be transparent

ProMED issued an alert on Tuesday (21st), warning of an epidemic of "unknown pneumonia" among Chinese children. The agency said it was unclear when the wave of illnesses began and it was "unusual" that so many children were affected so quickly.

On Wednesday (22nd), the agency once again stated that based on preliminary reports, the "unknown pneumonia" outbreak in Chinese children is different from mycoplasma pneumonia.

ProMED editors said that initial reports of this wave of illness specifically stated that the patients "did not have a cough" and the main symptom was a high fever. At the same time, X-rays of mycoplasma pneumonia usually show "patchy infiltrates" rather than pulmonary nodules.

The World Health Organization (WHO) on Wednesday asked Chinese officials to provide more data on an unknown pneumonia outbreak. The WHO has been criticized for its poor reporting on the COVID-19 epidemic, and it is clear that it wants to take the lead this time.

Earlier this year, the WHO criticized Chinese officials for refusing to share data that could reveal the origins of covid

The WHO issued a notice later on Thursday (23 November) saying that it held a meeting with Chinese Communist Party agencies on the 23rd. CCP informed that it had not found any unusual or new pathogens or unusual clinical manifestations, and that it was caused by a variety of known pathogens. There is a general increase in respiratory diseases.

The Epoch Times reporter learned that doctors in China are now afraid to speak out publicly about pneumonia. At the same time, there are also general doubts about whether the Chinese Communist authorities will provide true and comprehensive data. They worry that the situation will be more severe in December.

In China, the military doctor Jiang Yanyong who exposed the truth about SARS, and "whistleblower" doctors such as Li Wenliang and Ai Fen who told the truth about covid have all suffered crazy retaliation from the CCP.

Raina MacIntyre, professor of global biosecurity at Australia's University of New South Wales, told the BBC: "There are undoubtedly concerns about CCP China's transparency."

ProMED reiterates the original intention of setting up the early warning system

ProMED on Friday sought to downplay the extraordinary public concern over an unknown pneumonia in China.

"It is worth pointing out that the wording 'undiagnosed pneumonia' (also translated as undiagnosed pneumonia) and the commonly used term 'undiagnosed respiratory illness' (also translated as undiagnosed respiratory illness) used in China's alerts are ProMED "standard wording used to describe respiratory illnesses whose causes have not been determined as of the time of publication," the agency's editorial note said.

The organization said early warning allows appropriate precautions to be taken while test results are pending and/or the mobilization of testing resources, personal protective equipment, etc. needed to proactively identify the cause.

“Any suggestion that using a headline similar to our original COVID-19 post would somehow create fear among health care professionals ignores the true purpose of an early warning system,” the agency wrote, “in the first when reports came out, most of the incidents were essentially unsubstantiated.”

As we all know, only public information can effectively avoid public panic, especially for catastrophic information. Due to the CCP's past opacity, the SARS virus in 2003 and the covid virus in 2020 swept the world. The sudden outbreak of widespread childhood pneumonia naturally made the world nervous.

New York current affairs commentator Zhu Ming said that from a medical point of view, ProMED's reminder is reasonable, but from a practical point of view, "whoever trusts the CCP will pay the price."

He said that why "rumors" have been proven many times to save lives in mainland China is because the Communist Party is a cult and it still lies and conceals many things that are at stake. This is not the case abroad. The information is transparent and can provide early warning and prevention to the public.

U.S. Ambassador to Japan Rahm Emanuel suggested in a tweet on social media X on Thursday that Beijing should cooperate with the international community on the new pneumonia issue and stop cheating and deliberately delaying.

"Comprehensive cooperation with the international community is not a choice or not, but an inevitable requirement of public health," he wrote.

Emanuel still has some concerns about whether Beijing will cooperate actively and effectively to deal with the epidemic. "Will Beijing act?" he asked.

China is plunged into another epidemic tsunami, and a 3-year-old girl was infected with 5 pathogens at the same time

Reporter : Luo Tingting / Editor : Fan Ming / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/11/26/a103829584.html

Recently, China has once again been plunged into a tsunami of epidemics. Hospitals in major cities such as Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Hangzhou are full, and cases of mixed infections with multiple viruses have emerged. A 3-year-old girl in Hangzhou simultaneously Infected with 5 pathogens and in critical condition.

According to mainland media reports, since July and August this year, the number of outpatient visits at Zhejiang University Children's Hospital in Hangzhou has continued to be high, with an average daily outpatient volume of more than 13,000, and a maximum daily outpatient volume of more than 17,000.

Since August and September, the number of fever outpatient clinics at Zhejiang University Children’s Hospital has far exceeded the same period in history. The number of outpatient visits in October exceeded 400,000, a year-on-year increase of more than 90,000, which is equivalent to an increase of more than 3,000 visits per day.

Jiang Chunming, director of pediatrics at Hangzhou First People's Hospital, said that the number of emergency rooms for children with respiratory diseases is still at a high level, and there are many cases of mixed infections.

He saw a 3-year-old girl a few days ago who had a high fever for several days that never went down. After examination, it was found that the girl was infected with respiratory syncytial virus, rhinovirus, adenovirus, mycoplasma, and Haemophilus influenzae at the same time. It was a combination of five viral infections, which was a relatively complex mixed infection.

"Under normal circumstances, it is most common for children to be infected with one pathogen. Some children are infected with two pathogens or even superinfections of multiple pathogens. Although this probability is relatively small, but once a child is infected with multiple pathogens, children are often more seriously ill, so parents must take their children to see a doctor in time." Jiang Chunming said.

Many parents of children with the disease responded: "Who doesn't want to seek medical treatment in time? The problem is that we can't get a doctor." "It's really hard to get a doctor. My grandson had a fever the day before yesterday and could only be seen this afternoon. I'm really speechless."

In addition to children, many adults have also been affected. Dr. Weng Weidong, director of the Department of Infectious Diseases at Zhejiang Provincial Tongde Hospital, said that since mid-November, the number of fever outpatients has gradually increased. In recent days, the number has increased to 2 to 3 times the usual number, and most of them are young adults.

Since the 19th, the number of patients in the fever clinics of Qingchun Campus and Qiantang Campus of Shaw Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University School of Medicine has increased four to five times, with 400 to 500 patients received in a single day. Chen Huiying, head nurse of the fever clinic, said that most of the patients who come for treatment are young and middle-aged.

Dai Jianying, head nurse of the emergency department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University of Chinese Medicine (Provincial Xinhua Hospital), said that the number of adult patients this week has exceeded 100 per day. On 24 November 2023, the total number of people exceeded 130 throughout the day, which was 3 to 4 times more than in normal years. In terms of age, they are mainly young and middle-aged people.

On 23 November, a Chinese man shared a test report on the mainland Douyin website and added the words "New Poison King" and "Five Poison Leader" to his online name. He said, “(This hospital) can only detect 8 types of viruses, and (I) was infected with 5 types.”

The test results showed that the five viruses included influenza virus type A, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, respiratory syncytial virus, adenovirus, and coxsackie virus group B, which are all pathogens that cause respiratory diseases.

Many people suspect that the "mixed infection of multiple viruses" claimed by the CCP is the various mutant strains of the CCP virus (covi).

On 21 November, the global infectious disease surveillance network ProMED issued an alert that "an unknown pneumonia" was breaking out in mainland China, and it was not the "mycoplasma pneumonia" claimed by the CCP.

ProMED said it was unclear when the outbreak began, but it was "unusual" that so many children were affected so quickly.

The next day, the World Health Organization publicly requested the CCP to provide more information on the epidemic. However, the CCP claimed that "no unusual or new pathogens have been found."

Wang Ye (pseudonym), a pediatrician at a hospital in Beijing, recently told The Epoch Times: "There are no effective drugs for this wave of infections. I took all the drugs that can treat mycoplasma pneumonia, but they have no effect. So I doubt that this is mycoplasma pneumonia."

7 pathogens of respiratory epidemic in China explode, Luo Yijun calls on 2 people to postpone traveling to China

The epidemic of respiratory infectious diseases in China continues to spread. The local health unit announced that a total of 7 pathogens are circulating, including influenza, rhinovirus, mycoplasma, adenovirus, covid virus, human interstitial pneumonia virus, and common coronavirus (non-covid viruses). Luo Yijun, deputy director of the Department of Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health and Welfare of China, said that as the temperature drops, respiratory epidemics in China are expected to continue to rise, and the local medical capacity can be reduced. Elderly people and young children with weak immunity are reminded to, if necessary, should postpone traveling to China to avoid delaying medical treatment; if you must go, be sure to get the COVID-19 XBB and influenza vaccines.

Luo Yijun explained that the current respiratory epidemic of infectious diseases in China is prevalent in multiple age groups and with multiple pathogens. According to Chinese official data, influenza and rhinovirus are currently infecting those aged 1 to 4 years old; influenza, mycoplasma, and adenovirus infecting among those aged 5 to 14 years old; and those between 15 and 59 years old are infected by influenza, rhinovirus, and covid. Influenza, human interstitial pneumonia virus, and common coronavirus (non-COVID-19) are infecting among those aged 60 and above.

Luo Yijun pointed out that the temperature will gradually drop. It is estimated that the epidemic situation in China will continue to rise and reach its peak around the Spring Festival. We will closely monitor it and use it as a reference for us to adjust epidemic prevention measures before and after the Spring Festival.

As for external concerns about the large number of cross-strait cross-strait people traveling during the Spring Festival, which may lead to the invasion of mycoplasma, Luo Yijun explained that the current mycoplasma epidemic in China mainly occurs in children, while adults should not ignore influenza and other respiratory infectious diseases. It is recommended that those with weak immunity especially young children and the elderly should postpone traveling to China unless necessary, because the local medical capacity is tight, registration is difficult, and medical treatment is slow, which may cause delays in medical treatment. If you must go, be sure to get the COVID-19 XBB and influenza vaccines.
