Another virus in China is trending, 2.5 times more contagious than influenza

The epidemic situation in various parts of China is heating up rapidly, multiple viruses are spreading at the same time, and hospitals everywhere are overcrowded. Recently, "syncytial virus" has suddenly become a hot search on Weibo, causing concern among the Chinese people.
Since November, various viruses and epidemics have reached their peak in China at the same time. Covid, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, and influenza viruses have been raging at the same time. On 22 November, "syncytial virus" once topped the list of hot searches on Weibo, causing people in mainland China suffering terribly, and many netizens have left messages on Weibo, talking about the pain of queuing up for medical treatment in recent days.
"I'm from Beijing. This is the reality. All the child-raising groups are sick on a large scale. They are all talking about where there are fewer people. Children's Hospital, Children's Research Institute, Peking University, China-Japan, and Youyi have pediatrics in these cities. The emergency department has collapsed. We still did a lap last week. It was already exaggerated. We went there at three or four in the afternoon, and they told us that there were still hundreds of numbers left in the morning, and the afternoon didn’t start at all.”
"When I went to Peking University Third Hospital at 20 o'clock the night before yesterday, the number was 364. At 21 o'clock, it was still 264. It was already 0 o'clock when I saw the doctor. If I registered after 0 o'clock, it would be nearly 6 o'clock."
"Here in Xi'an, I went to the Pediatrics Department of the Class II Hospital to register at 3:30 in the morning. I could only register at the lottery machine, not online. At a little after 5 o'clock in the morning, I had already drawn more than 130 numbers [tears]. That's it. It’s an exaggeration. I’ve been seeing a doctor for a week, and I got through it this way... I have no experience going to the doctor for the first time, and I didn’t finish the infusion for my child until 3:30 in the middle of the night. It’s crazy.”
Rural clinics are also crowded with patients. One netizen said, “In the village clinic next door to us, we don’t see one or two patients being treated there all the year round (the medical skills are slightly poor). I passed by it a few days ago and the room was actually full. If I looked carefully, I could see that there were no patients there. It's for infusion... So my son didn't go to the city hospital when he was sick, he went directly to the community hospital, and there was a long queue."
Some netizens said, "I have just come out from mycoplasma pneumonia. This disease is coming fiercely and directly attacks the respiratory system: sore throat, high fever, runny nose, cough, all concentrated in one time period...".
Wang Quanyi, deputy director of the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention and chief epidemiologist, told Chinese media that in Beijing, Mycoplasma pneumoniae is no longer the leading cause of pediatric hospitalization. The top three causes are influenza, adenovirus, and respiratory syncytial virus. Syncytial virus moved up to third place.
Gao Weiwei, chief physician of the neonatal respiratory department at Guangdong Maternity and Child Health Hospital, said that syncytial virus is about 2.5 times more contagious than influenza. If children are severely infected with syncytial virus between 0 and 1 years old, their lung function may be affected. It is more serious and may even last for a longer period of time.
Syncytial virus is an RNA virus that is spread through droplets and close contact, or through contaminated hands and surfaces. Typical symptoms of syncytial virus infection in children are fever, cough, nasal congestion, and runny nose; in adults after infection. Typical symptoms include low-grade fever, cough, nasal congestion, and runny nose.
Like the covid virus and mycoplasma pneumonia, there are currently no vaccines or specific treatments for syncytial virus on the market in China, but this virus generally resolves after a period of treatment.

Experts believe in the superimposed outbreak of covid and multiple infectious diseases
Overseas experts suspect that the CCP is still covering up the true epidemic, and believe that the rapid escalation of various epidemics is likely to be related to the superimposed outbreak of the covid virus and multiple viruses.
The Program for Surveillance of Emerging Diseases (ProMED), a large epidemiological surveillance database, issued an alert on 21 November warning of an epidemic of "unknown pneumonia" among children in China. On the 22nd, the agency once again stated that based on preliminary reports, the "unknown pneumonia" outbreak in Chinese children is different from mycoplasma pneumonia.

Expert: White lung cannot be explained solely by mycoplasma pneumonia
American virologist Lin Xiaoxu told The Epoch Times on the 23rd that generally speaking, if it is mycoplasma pneumonia, many people will get better after a while after being infected. Mycoplasma pneumonia rarely causes severe pneumonia symptoms, and even less often causes white lungs. Nowadays, so many children need medical treatment, and even become seriously ill and need lung washing. It cannot be explained solely by mycoplasma pneumonia infection.
Lin Xiaoxu said that if the covid virus cooperates with other respiratory viruses or mycoplasma pneumonia bacteria to break through the body's defense system, a more serious infection will occur, causing white lungs and other conditions in the lungs. Symptoms of white lung are easy to appear in people infected with covid. The Chinese Communist Party officials have not announced the actual situation of the covid epidemic in the past few months. This is irresponsible and the National Health Commission is concealing it.

The rebels invaded the core position! Hundreds of drones bombarded fierce fighting in northern Myanmar. Emergency curfew in Kokang Old Street

The fighting in northern Myanmar was fierce. The Kokang Allied Forces launched an attack on Kokang Old Street in the early morning and captured the core position of the Myanmar Army. The Myanmar Army had to further reduce its strength. The Myanmar military also issued an announcement announcing that multiple towns and old streets will be under military control. During the 12 hours from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning, no one except Myanmar military personnel will be allowed to enter. Civilian outings are prohibited, curfews imposed in these areas.
During the 12 hours from 6 pm to 6 am the next morning, no one except Myanmar military personnel will be allowed to enter. Outings are allowed and curfews are imposed in these areas.
In addition to the curfew, the Myanmar military does not allow large gatherings of many people. The number is limited to 5 people, and no one is allowed to carry devices that may cause harm, including weapons and sticks. If someone violates these prohibitions issued by the Myanmar military, they will be immediately arrested by the military and police personnel of the Myanmar military government.
The Kokang Allied Forces even deployed drones during the battle. They put their newly established drone brigade into the battlefield and used drones to launch air strikes on the Myanmar military's positions. The rebels launched a drone on each drone. A mortar shell was attached.

More than 100 drones were put into combat that day. Although these drones are small drones, their power in combat is not small. Each drone could use a mortar shell as a weapon to drop bombs.
In order to defend Kokang Old Street, the Myanmar military built a large number of bunkers near the old street and connected these bunkers with trenches. If the Kokang Allied Forces use traditional fighting methods to attack the Myanmar military's positions, then their attack may be very difficult.
However, with the help of drones, this offensive method has undergone tremendous changes. The drone operator only needs to operate the drone and drop mortar shells at the connection between the bunkers, which can effectively cut off the Myanmar military's logistics lines.
In addition to dispatching drones, the Kokang Allied Forces also dispatched multiple reconnaissance teams, disguised as regular Myanmar troops and wearing the same military uniforms, making it difficult to distinguish them, to carry out reconnaissance and raids inside Laukkai. Since there are a large number of fortifications and bunkers built inside Laukkai, the best way to ascertain intelligence is to conduct reconnaissance with a reconnaissance team.

In addition, the Kokang Allied Forces also know how to win over people's hearts. They have carried out political education work in the occupied areas, emancipated people's minds, and sent officers and soldiers to solve the difficulties in life of local people. Their behaviour is welcomed by the local people.
Currently, many anti-government armed forces in Myanmar have formed an alliance to jointly resist the Myanmar military regime. This situation has also caused a headache for the Myanmar Junta.

Revealing the secret that the commander-in-chief of the Kokang Army and his son were detained by the CCP twice and the counterattack failed
On 6 November 2023, the Ming family, one of the five major telecom fraud groups in northern Myanmar, was arrested. Zhao Zhongqi, assistant professor at the Department of Southeast Asian Studies at Jinan International University, believes that the CCP definitely plays a leading role in Myanmar’s internal affairs.
Voice of America reported that Zhao Zhongqi said, "The armed groups in northern Myanmar were either formerly members of the Communist Party of Myanmar, or they are cross-border ethnic groups between China and Myanmar. Therefore, for China, it can effectively influence or even control these armed groups in northern Myanmar."

The historic struggle between Kokang Army and CCP
He said that taking the Kokang Army as an example, they were defeated twice in 2009 and 2015 because the CCP did not support it. In 2009, the CCP called Peng Jiasheng, the then commander-in-chief of the Kokang Army, and his son back to CCP China for a meeting. Not only did they detain them, but they also cut off their mobile phone connections with Myanmar. The Kokang Army naturally lost its combat effectiveness.
In 2012, when Peng Jiasheng appealed to the sentiments of Chinese people around the world to support his armed actions, he was slapped in the face by the Global Times editorial.

CCP's "two-handed strategy" between Myanmar's ethnic minorities and Myanmar Junta
Zhao Zhongqi said that the CCP has long played a "two-handed strategy" between Myanmar's ethnic minorities, including the Wa State, and the military government. It is also a supplier of intelligence, weapons, and ammunition to both parties. Therefore, the future growth and decline of the power of the two forces will depend on regardless of which side the CCP leans on, the CCP will also ensure that its geographical and economic interests in Myanmar are not affected by the civil war, because Myanmar is the outlet for CCP China’s economic development in the western region and is also the solution to its “Malacca Dilemma” . This dilemma refers to the fact that China has become over-reliant on the Strait of Malacca to import energy. Therefore, it plans to develop a shortcut for oil transportation from the Middle East and Africa to the Chinese border via the jungles of Myanmar.

The CCP’s war history revealed that the Red Army raped women, and the regimental commander and chief of staff were “consoled”
Reporter : Zhong Lishu / Editor : Li Guangsong / Source : NTD / https://www.aboluowang.com/2023/1123/1981596.html
Overseas Chinese media published part of the "Selected Historical Materials of the Fourth Front Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army - Hubei, Henan, and Anhui Periods (Part 2)", which reflected the atrocious act of raping women by the predecessor of the Fourth Front Army of the Communist Party of China in northwest Anhui in 1931.
The author of the article is Fang Ying, who first served as Secretary of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in 1931, and later served as Secretary of the Northwest Anhui Special Committee and Secretary of the Western Anhui Road Committee. He was dismissed from his post in December 1931 and later arrested for the expansion of the suppression of counter-revolutionaries. He died in 1932.
On 1 July 1931, Fang Ying wrote to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to report local problems, saying that Kuang Jixun and Zhongsheng ordered the local party headquarters of the Communist Party of China to lay out the route at the mouth of the river and prepared to find six women to share the distribution, but it was not completed due to various reasons.
During the enlarged meeting, someone proposed to "review this issue." Although a lot of materials were collected in the Standing Committee, Zhang Guotao did not agree to deal with it, so it was not passed.
The letter stated that the Red Army treated the Soviets as a Red Army guest house, and relations with women in particular had deteriorated significantly. When the Red Army arrived in Mabu, a sixteen or seventeen-year-old girl from the Seventh District was raped by the Red Army. The Thirty-sixth Regiment of the Twelfth Division went to Zhufo Temple in Huoshan to ask the Soviet Chairman to lay out their route. There was also an incident of rape of a member of the Communist Youth League.
In addition, when the Red Army went south, rapes occurred everywhere. A few women thought that supporting the Red Army solved sexual problems and was the only priority. They automatically assigned women who comforted the Red Army to sleep with the regimental commander and chief of staff.
Fang Ying said that the above incidents are very common and he thinks they are very serious.
Data show that the Fourth Red Army of the Communist Party of China was mainly composed of troops from the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area and was established on 7 November 1931 in Qiliping, Huang'an, Hubei. Commander-in-Chief Xu Xiangqian, Political Commissar Chen Changhao, and Director of the Political Department Liu Shiqi, the actual leadership is controlled by Zhang Guotao. It has jurisdiction over the Fourth Red Army (the military leadership is concurrently held by the Front Army Headquarters) and the 25th Red Army (Commander Kuang Jixun, Political Commissar Wang Pingzhang), with a total strength of 45,000. At that time, it was the military force second only to the Central Red Army under the control of the Communist Party of China.

Son of Hamas co-founder: We must unite to defeat Hamas
Reporter : Li Zhaoxi / Editor: Lin Qing / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/11/23/a103828815.html / Image : Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of Hamas co-founder. (Ahmad Gharabli/AFP/GettyImages)
Mosab Hassan Joseph, the son of the co-founder of Hamas, delivered a passionate half-hour speech at the United Nations on Monday (20 November 2023), warning that the world must unite to defeat Hamas.
Mosab Hassan Yousef was born in 1978, the son of Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef. In 1997, he joined the Israeli National Security Agency Shin Bet and worked as an undercover agent for 10 years. He was called the "Green Prince" for he was regarded as "the most valuable source of information".
In 1999, Mosab converted to Christianity. After finishing his undercover work in 2007, he went to the United States. In 2010, he published his autobiography "Son of Hamas", which caused a huge sensation. That same year, he sought political asylum from the U.S. government.
Mosab, 45, is committed to exposing the true face of the Hamas cult. On 20 November 2023, he spoke next to the Israeli flag at the United Nations.
Referring to the massacre carried out by Hamas against Israel on October 7, he said: "This crime is inexcusable. It should not be forgiven by any of us."
He explained that those killed by Israel in Gaza became part of Hamas's plan to demonize Israel. "So now Israel is stained with blood, and this is what Hamas wanted to happen from the beginning. They wanted to make Israel blameworthy by sacrificing thousands of children," he said. "How many people were killed in hospitals? They are quick to blame Israel and the rest of the world listens to them and listens to their propaganda?”
It is not what I say. It is not what I do. IT IS WHO I AM. pic.twitter.com/O93sDTATJi
— Mosab Hassan Yousef (@MosabHasanYOSEF) November 22, 2023
“No one is focused on checking what is true and what is false; whatever suits their political and short-term interests, they will do it,” Mosab continued, referring to those who support Hamas and are willing to believe lies against Israel. He emphasizes that this is self-destructive.
He warned that if Hamas is not defeated, if Hamas is not eradicated in Gaza, this amounts to giving up freedom to extremist groups around the world.
"This is just a warning. If you really care about global security - and I mean people who are involved in fighting radical Islamists, counterterrorism - if Hamas is not defeated in Gaza, it will galvanize many groups around the world. It will inspire many groups around the world." There are a few thousand barbarians who can blackmail the international community, the superpowers and bring democracies to their knees," he said.
Mosab stressed that many people in extremist groups are now very happy with the world's reaction to the Israeli-Hamas war. “Now is the time to unite,” he said, “because if Israel fails in Gaza, all of us will be next.”
On 19 October 2023, Mosab's father was arrested by the Israeli military in the West Bank. On the same day, Mosab accepted an interview with Fox News.
He said he was born into a family of Hamas leaders and knew them very well. They do not care about the Palestinian people, they have no respect for human life. In 1996, he was imprisoned in Megiddo prison for about a year and a half and witnessed the atrocities of Hamas, that killed many Palestinians at the time. "That's when I decided I couldn't be a part of this movement."
Mosab predicted that if Hamas succeeded in destroying Israel and establishing its own state, they would kill the people. Hamas is serving foreign agendas, such as Iran and Russia. Iran pays them nearly $1 billion a year. "Iran is the real master."
"Hamas does not serve the Palestinian people... they are using the Palestinian people as a human shield!" Mosab concluded. "We need to free Gaza from Hamas. That is what Israel is doing, knock down Hamas." This is a great help to the Palestinian people."

Israeli troops detained the director of the Al Shifa Hospital and announced the Hamas command center under the hospital

A doctor at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza recently told the media that the director of the hospital has been arrested by the Israeli military. The Israeli army later confirmed that it had carried out "detention interrogation" on the hospital's director. Previously, the Israeli military disclosed to the media the internal conditions of the Hamas command and control center underground at the West Fahr Hospital in Gaza.
Khalid Abu Samra, department director of Al-Shifa Hospital, told AFP on 23 November 2023 that Mohammad Abu Salmiya, director of Al-Shifa Hospital, and several medical staff were arrested by Israeli forces that day.
Subsequently, Reuters reported that the Israeli military confirmed that it had detained and interrogated Director Salmiya because of evidence that Al-Shifa Hospital was used as a command and control center by the terrorist organization Hamas.
The Hamas organization has issued a statement in this regard, stating that it "strongly condemns" the arrest of Salmiya and his colleagues, and demanded that international organizations take action to force the Israeli military to release them.
On 18 November 2023, the Israeli army carried out a raid on the Al-Shifa Hospital and asked hundreds of patients in Al-Shifa Hospital and those who took refuge in the hospital to move to a safer place in southern Gaza.
The hospital has been the focus of mutual accusations of war crimes between Israel and Hamas for some time. Hamas accuses Israel of targeting the hospital, which Israel says has become a haven for terrorists. The Israeli army has repeatedly emphasized that Hamas terrorists have established a command center underground in the hospital and plan attacks against Israelis there; however, Hamas and hospital executives (including the director) have repeatedly denied this statement.
On Wednesday (22 November 2023), the Israeli military showed the media the internal conditions under the ground of the Western Hospital, the reinforced tunnels and the command post of the Hamas armed organization.
According to reports from Reuters, the Associated Press and AFP, on Wednesday, about 24 foreign journalists, protected by more than a dozen Israeli soldiers, used flashlights to visit the tunnels under the hospital and Hamas command center.
From relevant pictures and videos released by various media, it can be seen that Hamas's underground command center can be entered through a tunnel shaft about two metres high in the hospital compound. The tunnels there are vaulted-topped and solidly constructed, with walls made of stone and concrete. The passages inside extend in all directions, and the Hamas command post is fully equipped, including not only bathrooms and kitchens, but also an air-conditioned conference room with two metal beds.
The Israeli military said the tunnel leading to a series of underground bunkers at the West French hospital is 150 m long. Tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians once filled the compound, forming "a human shield to protect Hamas militants," and this was how Hamas protected itself.
Colonel Chuli of the Israeli army told visiting media reporters that the Israeli military knew that this tunnel could also lead to a kindergarten in Gaza City.
In addition, many guns, grenades and explosives were placed in the hospital compound. Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the items had been seized in recent days from Al Shifa Hospital, a motel and nearby cars.
"The West Fa Hospital is the largest hospital in Gaza and the largest terrorist stronghold of Hamas," General Hagari said. "Hamas battalion-level commanders command and control the firing of rockets here."
Hagari then emphasized: "Now the whole world should understand what happened in Al Shifa Hospital and what happened in other hospitals. This is a war crime."
Hamas suddenly attacked Israel on 7 October 2023, killing more than 1,200 people and taking at least 240 hostages. Israel subsequently launched a large-scale military operation against the Hamas armed forces entrenched in Gaza, including surrounding and occupying Western hospitals. For this reason, Israel has endured tremendous public pressure from the international community.

Why "Dutch Trump" won the election in the Netherlands? Outsiders analyze the reasons
Image : On 23 November 2023, The Hague, the Netherlands, Geert Wilders, leader of the Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV), came to his party office to celebrate his party's victory in yesterday's general election. (Carl Court/Getty Images)
Geert Wilders, known as the “Dutch Trump”, achieved a huge victory in the Dutch general election. The outside world calls his success "the rise of right-wing parties in Europe." According to outside analysis, the main reason for his victory was his stance of putting the Dutch first and his anti-immigration agenda.
The Dutch far-right Party for Freedom (PVV) won 37 of the 150 seats in the Dutch parliament in the legislative elections held on November 22, more than double the number in the 2021 election and well ahead of the coalition of Labor and Green parties 25 seats on the ballot, and 24 seats for outgoing Prime Minister Mark Rutte's conservative Liberal Democratic Party (VVD).
Wilders advocates cutting Dutch payments to the EU, opposes Islam, opposes immigration and blocks any new member states, including Ukraine, from joining.
Wilders must face difficult alliance negotiations if he wants to serve as Prime Minister of the Netherlands, but he is confident about it.
Wilders said after the exit poll results that he would "give Holland back to the Dutch". He said: "We must find a way to live up to the expectations of voters and put the Dutch first. Now is the time for all parties to find an agreement."
Although he has been shut out by the centrists over the past decade, potential center-right partners have become more likely to align themselves with Wilders since the exit poll results were released.
News (11)
Expert: The main reason for Wilders’ victory was to put the Dutchman first
Immigration is a major issue in the Dutch general election. For EU politicians, this remains a pressing question. As the number of immigrants continues to increase, support for far-right parties is also rising in many European countries.
In November last year, Giorgia Meloni won power for the conservative "Brotherhood of Italy" party and was elected as Italy's first female prime minister.
In France, the far-right National Rally, led by Marine Le Pen, which advocates anti-immigration and Euroscepticism, has also gained increasing support from voters and ranked second in opinion polls.
Le Pen congratulated Wilders on his election, saying the results "confirmed the growing emphasis on defending national identity."
She said, "People are hungry for real change. Not just in the Netherlands, but also in Flanders. Parties like ours are popping up all over Europe!"
Currently in Germany, the support rate of the right-wing Alternative Party (AFD) exceeds that of the Prime Minister's party, the Social Democratic Party (SPD), by one percentage point, making it the second largest party in Germany. The Alternative Party only received 10.3% of the votes in the 2021 German general election, ranking behind the Social Democratic Party, the Alliance Party, the Liberal Democratic Party, and the Green Party.
Alice Weidel, chairwoman of the German Alternative Party, said on Wilders' election, "Congratulations on this great success. The whole of Europe wants political change."
In his victory speech, Wilders, who had just won the election, vowed to solve what he called the "asylum tsunami" hitting the Netherlands.
Sarah de Lange, professor of political science at the University of Amsterdam, said: “The main reason why voters supported Wilders in these elections was his anti-immigration agenda, followed by his stance on the cost of living crisis and his position on health care.”
Belgium will also hold general elections next year on the same day voters elect members of the European Parliament. Tom Van Grieken, leader of the far-right Flemish Interest party, who is expected to achieve a major breakthrough, congratulated Wilders and said: "Across Europe, parties like ours are on the road ahead .”
Santiago Abascal, leader of Spain's far-right party Vox, believes the result is a clear signal in an election dominated by the immigration debate, " More and more Europeans are demanding the defense of their countries, borders and rights in the streets and at the polls."
Matteo Salvini, leader of the right-wing League and Italian Deputy Prime Minister, called Wilders "a friend of the League" and said, "A new Europe is possible."

Europe’s “winds of change are here”
In June 2024, 27 EU countries will hold European Parliament elections.
Politico said that if Wilders can get a seat at the EU summit, he will change the situation together with other far-right and nationalist leaders already in office. Suddenly, policies ranging from climate action to EU reform to Ukraine weapons will be at the center of debate and even overturned.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban called Wilders to congratulate him on his "seismic" election victory.
Earlier, Orban posted on the social networking site unremitting.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó also posted on Facebook to congratulate the Dutch politician and emphasized, “Another country has clearly said no to illegal immigration. We hope that The Hague is close enough to Brussels , they can hear it from there.”

Analysis: "Trump"’s victory in Argentina and the Netherlands set off a wave of conservatives
Image : On 22 October 2023, presidential candidate Javier Milei waved to supporters after the election in Buenos Aires, Argentina. (Tomas Cuesta/Getty Images)
"I am very proud of you. You will turn your country around and truly make Argentina great again!" Former U.S. President Trump congratulated Harbin Javier Milei said this when he was elected as the new president of Argentina.
Only 53-year-old Javier Milei won the second round of voting in Argentina's presidential election on 19 November 2023. He will take office as president on 10 December 2023 and officially lead South America's second largest country.
As an economist and university professor, Milei is also a "political novice" who advocates conservative ideas such as reducing government spending and not raising taxes. During the campaign, he often compared himself to former U.S. President Trump, and earned the nickname "Argentine Trump" for his equally flamboyant personality, distinctive personal style and strong media influence.
Many Milei supporters also often wear T-shirts and hats with the words "Make Argentina Great Again", which also echoes Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan.

Just as Argentina's political arena is about to turn to the right, news comes from the Netherlands in Europe that it will continue to turn to the right. Geert Wilders, also known as the "Dutch Trump", is known for his opposition to illegal immigration. ) won a huge victory in the Dutch general election on 22 November.
The party led by Wilders won the most seats in the Dutch lower house (second house) and became the largest party. This gives Wilders the opportunity to form and lead the next governing coalition and become the most conservative prime minister in the Netherlands since 2010.
Image : On 19 November 2023 (The Hague), a photo of Dutch far-right politician Geert Wilders appeared on a poster of his Party for Freedom near the Dutch Parliament building. Rutte said he would quit Dutch politics. (Carl Court/Getty Images)
Since Trump won the U.S. election in 2016 and strongly promoted the return of conservative ideas in the world's largest country, conservative waves have begun to emerge around the world. These waves sometimes rise and sometimes recede, showing the tug-of-war between left and right ideologies.
As 2024 will usher in general elections in more countries around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, India, Mexico, and Pakistan, we have questions about how the conservative movement will perform in these countries. The conservative movements currently emerging in Argentina in South America and the Netherlands in Western Europe shows the new wave of rightist ideology is a forward-looking phenomenon that deserves attention.

Argentina’s conservative wave: Want small government, not socialism, no alliance with the CCP
In his victory speech on the evening of the 19th, Milei said: "The situation in Argentina is critical. The changes our country needs are huge. There is no room for incrementalism, no room for cold measures."
Currently, four-tenths of Argentina's population live in poverty, and the annual inflation rate is as high as 143%. Given Argentina's expanding budget deficit, depleted dollar reserves and the need to continue repaying the International Monetary Fund's $44 billion loan program, Milley's top priority after taking office as president is to save Argentina's economy.

Milei said he would halve the number of government departments, cut public spending through his "chainsaw plan" and privatize every state-owned and state-run company possible. He also said he would eliminate central banks.
His governing philosophy and platform are very similar to those of former U.S. President Trump. Trump warmly welcomed Milei’s election. In a post on his “Truth Social” media on the 21st, Trump said: “Congratulations to Javier ‧ Milei performed well in Argentina’s presidential election. The world is watching. I am very proud of you. You will turn your country around and truly make Argentina great again!”
Milley also said he would strengthen ties with the United States. The White House said President Joe Biden spoke with Milei on the 22nd about "the strong relationship between the United States and Argentina on economic issues, regional and multilateral cooperation, and shared priorities, including advocating for the protection of human rights, addressing food insecurity, and investing in clean energy".
While getting closer to the United States, Milei made it clear that he would not cooperate with the "Communist Party" or join the "BRICS" group of countries led by the CCP.
Communist China is Argentina's second largest trading partner. The outgoing Argentine President Alberto Fernandez is a "pro-China" and implemented a socialist policy called "Peronism" in Argentina.

In the general election, Milei won a landslide victory in 21 of Argentina's 24 provinces. His victory defied the predictions of almost all political experts.
The market is cautiously optimistic about changes in Argentina's political situation. Argentina's stock market and sovereign bonds rose and its currency, the peso, weakened but did not suffer the plunge that many had expected.
Javier Timerman, managing partner of AdCap Asset Management in New York, commented: "One of the great things about Milley is that the market seems to believe in him more than before the election."
Milley's victory in Argentina was not the first wave of conservatives in South America. In the previous 2018 general election in Brazil, the largest country in South America, Jair Bolsonaro, known as the "Brazilian Trump" and the "Tropical Trump", faced the country's economic recession and social unrest. Win. However, in the 2022 general election, Bolsonaro lost to Brazil's veteran leftist politician Lula, which temporarily blocked Brazil's conservative wave.

Conservative wave in the Netherlands: We want laws and constitution, not illegal immigrants
The results of the Dutch general election after the complete vote count on the 23rd showed that the Freedom Party (PVV) led by Wilders won 37 of the 150 seats in the House of Commons, which was more than predicted by the exit polls when the voting ended on the evening of the 22nd. Two seats, more than double the 17 seats he won in the last general election. This makes the PVV the largest party in the House of Commons.
"I had to pinch my arm," an elated Wilders said after learning of his huge win.
Wilders' political ideas include calling for a referendum on the Netherlands' withdrawal from the EU, a complete stop to accepting asylum seekers and a halt to illegal immigration at the Dutch borders. He also advocates the "de-Islamization" of the Netherlands.
In his victory speech, Wilders said any policies he pursued would be "within the law and the constitution" and that he wanted to end the "asylum tsunami".
"The Netherlands will be number one again," he added. "The people must take back their country."

Wilders' victory shows that the Netherlands, once hailed as Europe's "beacon of tolerance," can no longer bear the burden of a large number of economic refugees and illegal immigrants. This will also have a huge impact on Europe, which is generally left-leaning in ideology.
A Dutch voter, Norbert van Beelen, told the Associated Press in The Hague on the morning of the 23rd: "I think, to be honest, a lot of people are very concerned about a specific issue, and that is (illegal) immigration. So I think that this (outcome) is what people voted for. (Illegal) immigration and leaving the EU and all the other aspects are issues that are very inward rather than outward, it's just been forgotten that it's all about (illegal) immigration."
Another Dutch voter, Barbara Belder, said Wilders' victory was "a very clear sign that the Netherlands wants something different".
A victory for Wilders would end 13 years of leadership of the Netherlands by current Prime Minister Mark Rutte and his centre-right Liberal Democratic Party (VVD).
Other Conservatives in Europe

A year before this historic victory, which pushed the Netherlands further to the right, Giorgia Meloni, president of Italy's conservative Brothers of Italy party, won the general election and became prime minister. Meloni called for tax cuts, less bureaucracy, "Italy first" and an exit from CCP China's Belt and Road agreement.
The conservative wave in Europe has not been without its setbacks. Liz Truss, who took office as Prime Minister in September last year, hoped to reshape the British economy through significant tax cuts, but it panicked financial markets and forced her to step down after only 49 days in office.
"I think she felt she was trying to do too much, too fast, and not have a following." Kevin Hern, chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) in the U.S. House of Representatives, summed up the lesson learned from Truss.
Nor will the Netherlands’ continued rightward turn be the last wave of conservatives to influence changes in Europe’s political landscape. From Slovakia and Spain to Germany and Poland, conservative movements have gained momentum in some EU member states and are slowly taking off in others.

Terry Gou withdraws from the election and supports General Gou to vote for County Speaker. Ho Shengfeng: He will vote for Lai Ching-te
Reporter : Chen Fengli / https://news.ltn.com.tw/news/politics/breakingnews/4500371 / Image : Nantou County Council Speaker He Shengfeng (2nd from left) previously supported Gou Taiming (1st from left). After Gou Taiming issued a withdrawal statement, he said that he would become an easy voter, but his vote would be for Lai Ching-te. (File photo)
Nantou County Speaker Ho Shengfeng, who was the first to withdraw from the KMT on 17 May 2023 and later supported Gou Taiming, said after Gou Taiming issued a withdrawal statement in the afternoon that if Gou Taiming does not run, he can relieve himself of the heavy burden on his heart and retire on his own. The party has little energy left, but it will not be changed into supporting Hou Yu-ih while he will definitely vote for Lai Ching-te.
He Shengfeng, the speaker of the Nantou County Council who supports General Gou, commented after the Blue and White Chamber consultation last Wednesday that the people were pretending to be Xiao Wei during the negotiation. He also said that if Gou Taiming registers to run, he will continue to support him, but if Gou does not run, he will Vote for Lai Ching-te.
Yesterday, Ko Wenje broke the news in a text message that Gou would withdraw from the candidacy, and Terry Gou had issued a withdrawal statement in the afternoon of 24 November. He Shengfeng said, "I am relieved!" He Shengfeng said that it was Terry Gou who called and asked him to help. He co-signed the important task. Now that Terry Gou is not running for election, he can finally relieve himself of the heavy burden.
He Shengfeng said that he is not a member of the Kuomintang now and has no influence. Therefore, he does not want to care about the presidential election. He will not be tempted to support Hou Yu-ih or Ko Wenje. He can just become a voter easily. He will definitely be voting on 13 January 2024. Since he said last week that he would vote for Lai Ching-te, he will do what he said.
Ho Shengfeng revealed last week that he quit the KMT on 17 May 2023, and Terry Gou called him the next day to ask for his help. He also rushed out 53,000 co-signatories for Gou in Nantou County.
