Hotel Review : Marroad International Airport Narita, Narita

Address: 763-1 Komaino, Narita City, Chiba Prefecture 286-0121, Japan. Tel: +81-476-302222

Marroad International Hotel Narita looks opulent and the staff are hospitable towards guests. Late check-out from 11 am to 2 pm incurs a fee of 3737 Yen and a customer's request for an airport runway-view room incurs a room conversion fee of 180 Yen if the booking is not part of the hotel's package.

The view of the airport runway from my room is excellent but the cargo building of All Nippon Airways known as "Cargo 8" now obstructs a part of the runway.

I appreciate the rainy plane-spotting activity in the room on 27 September 2024.

The last shuttle bus to Narita Airport Terminal 2 is at 9.30 pm. Shuttle service in the morning operates up to Terminal 2 stop 27 only and from 1.30 pm the service is extended to Terminal 1 stop 16.

There are no frequent shuttle services to Narita in the afternoons.

The hotel has the convenience store on the first level and the Lumiere Restaurant of the hotel serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is complimentary or otherwise and payments for the three meals can be done using cash, credit card and debit card.

There are good opportunities to see aircraft approaching the landing strip of Terminal 2 from the faraway distance or taking off for the sky from Terminal 1 at the Lumiere. There is the panoramic view of the Narita air traffic control towers as well.

True to a previous review on Trip.com, the only con of this hotel is that the electricity supply does not charge any handphone and the hotel does not supply mobile chargers. Marroad International Hotel Narita should consider supplying mobile chargers for guests' convenience if the universal adaptors are not compatible.

I left the hotel by 8 pm for Toyoko Inn Narita Honkan, where I had another booking on the same day to charge my handphone and camera for my plane-spotting activities.

I returned on the next day to continue with plane-spotting in the room of Marroad International Hotel Narita until I check-out by 1 pm local time.

Overall, I am very happy with my exploration of the selected airport hotels in Narita and Tokyo.
