According to the mainland's First Financial News, air tickets have plummeted after the "National Day". The usual price is thousands of yuan, but now it has fallen to a bargain price. Now visiting offline travel agencies, I learn that now that we have entered the off-season for tourism, the air tickets from Shanghai to Japan have dropped from four digits to three digits, and some air tickets are even less than 500 RMB.

Browsing on a certain online ticket booking platform, it was also found that the air ticket price from Shanghai to many popular domestic destinations is only more than 100 RMB.

According to Chao News, the head of a ticketing company in Hangzhou said that it is currently the off-season for tourism, and many airlines have announced plans to open new routes for winter and spring flights. Due to the promotion of new routes and the adjustment of flight schedules, many domestic air tickets and some international air tickets are as low as 100 RMB.

For example, the lowest fare from Hangzhou to Guiyang on 22 October 2024 is 250 RMB, which is equivalent to 15% off, the lowest fare from Hangzhou to Haikou is 350 RMB, which is equivalent to 19% off, and the lowest fare from Hangzhou to Lanzhou is 267 RMB, which is equivalent to 16% off.

The lowest fare from Hangzhou to Beijing on 6 November 2024 is 330 RMB, which is equivalent to 14% off, and the lowest fare from Hangzhou to Xi'an on 9 November 2024 is 199 RMB, which is equivalent to 12% off.

Some airline staff said that every year after the "National Day" to the end of December is the off-season for tourism, and the price of tourist route tickets will drop to less than 40% or even lower, and some routes are even below 300 RMB.

In addition, there are also discounts on tickets departing from Hangzhou to some overseas visa-free tourist destinations. For example, the flight from Hangzhou to Jeju on 22 October 2024 costs 387 RMB, the flight from Hangzhou to Kota Kinabalu on 11 November 2024 costs 423 RMB, the flight from Hangzhou to Changi on 6 November 2024 costs 611 RMB, and the flight from Hangzhou to Suvarnabhumi on 28 October 2024 costs 560 RMB.

On 21 October 2024, the Beijing News reported that except for the airfares from Beijing and surrounding destinations that have dropped to 100 yuan, the recent airfares from Shanghai to Zhengzhou, Ningbo, Harbin, Fuzhou, Beijing to Taiyuan, Lanzhou, Guangzhou to Hefei, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Changsha, etc. are all below 300 RMB (excluding airport construction and fuel costs), which is lower than the high-speed rail price.

Searching on the travel booking platform, it was found that the ticket price from Beijing to Chengdu started at 290 RMB, a decrease of 64%; the ticket price from Beijing to Xining started at 297 yuan, a decrease of 64%; the ticket price from Beijing to Hohhot started at 297 yuan, a decrease of 64% and so on.

Among them, Shijiazhuang to Yinchuan is 156 RMB, to Changchun is 177 RMB, to Harbin is 186 RMB, to Wenzhou is 196 RMB, Tianjin to Wuhan is 196 RMB, Jinan to Dalian is 169 RMB, to Xi'an is 180 RMB, to Harbin and Changchun is 199 RMB, and Tianjin to Taiyuan round trip is only 330 RMB, etc.

Wang Ting, who plans to take a staggered vacation recently, said that the high-speed rail from Beijing to Xi'an costs more than 480 RMB. In addition, the train from Beijing to Urumqi takes more than 30 hours, and the hard sleeper ticket price is 536 RMB, while the China Southern ticket starts at 438 RMB and takes more than 4 hours to reach.
