馬斯克:推薦搖擺州選民簽請願書 可獲47美元
A political action committee funded by billionaire Elon Musk is launching a campaign to recommend swing products to those who have successfully recommended Registered state voters pay $47 to sign petitions supporting the First and Second Amendments to the United States Constitution.

Musk said on the social media platform, "For every voter you refer to a swing state, you get $47! Easy money."

America PAC is an organization largely funded by Musk that supports former President Trump's re-election to the White House. The group shared a petition on Sunday asking signers to "please support" the First and Second Amendments but the group did not call for any action other than a promise to pay those who successfully share their petitions with registered voters in battleground states.

The First Amendment (Amendment I) of the U.S. Constitution supports the right to free speech, and the Second Amendment (Amendment II) supports the right to own guns.

The honorarium will be paid to those who successfully recommend registered voters in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina to sign the petition by 21 October 2024. Those recommenders must also sign the petition themselves so that they can get paid.

The petition asks voters in these battleground states to provide personal contact information. After signing, all users, regardless of their state, are directed to a page containing only voter registration links for those seven states.

Musk said the goal of the petition is to get 1 million signatures from swing state voters.

The campaigns of Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are now reaching a fever pitch in battleground states. This year's race for the White House has become extremely fierce since Kamala Harris ran to succeed President Joe Biden, especially in these battleground states, where polls show the two candidates are very close in support.

When Trump suffered an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, on 13 July 2024, Musk quickly announced his support for the Republican 2024 presidential candidate.

On 3 October 2024, Trump returned to Butler to hold a campaign rally, and Musk was there in person to support him.

Musk is the world's richest man, worth about $263.3 billion as of Monday morning, according to Forbes.

Musk praised Trump's performance during the shooting, saying "the true test of a person's character is how they perform under pressure."

"President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. He must win to preserve American democracy." He called this a "must-win situation" and called on people to register to vote.

In addition to the technology tycoon Musk, the main guests at the rally also included the widow and other family members of the shooting victim Competore, Republican vice presidential candidate and Ohio Senator JD Vance, and Trump’s second son Eddie Rick Trump and his wife, Republican National Committee co-chair Laura Trump.

Earlier in the day, Trump's running mate J.D. Vance took the stage to review the circumstances of the day of the shooting, while severely criticizing Democrats for calling Trump a "threat to democracy," calling such remarks inflammatory.

Trump: Send a simple message

Trump appeared to applause. An immigration chart, which he credited with saving his life, popped up on a large monitor behind him on stage.

Just before the gunman opened fire, Trump turned and pointed at the chart. He said the move saved him from being shot in the head and the bullet missed his ear.

"Tonight, in the wake of tragedy and heartache, I return to Butler with a simple message to Pennsylvanians and Americans: Our MAGA movement is stronger, more proud, more united, and more committed than ever," he said. Determined and closer to victory, we will make America great again.”

Trump said that his first question after being shot was to ask how many people were injured, and then he read the names of the injured people at the July rally one by one, and invited people at the scene to join in paying tribute to the firefighter Kang who died 12 weeks ago. Pretorius mourns.

"We are here tonight in record numbers... not only to commemorate the triumph of the American spirit over evil and adversity, but also to honor some of the best and bravest we have ever seen," Trump said.

Vance said what happened on 13 July 2024 in Butler, Pennsylvania, was a miracle. That day, he said, America felt the Bible, quoting one passage that says, "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear evil, for you are with me."

"The media has been calling Trump, the guy who actually won the primary, a threat to democracy," Vance said. "Donald Trump took a bullet for democracy."

"Who" he wants to face a foreign adversary, he asked the crowd, "a man who is afraid to be interviewed by friendly American media or a man who faces two assassins and returns triumphantly to the place where he was shot?"

"You hear the gunfire, you see the blood. We all fear the worst. But when President Trump raises his fist, you know everything is going to be okay," Vance said.

Winning Pennsylvania is critical for candidates of both parties

Of the 50 states in the United States, 43 lean toward either the Democratic or Republican parties. Therefore, the remaining seven battleground states with similar support rates between the two parties have become the key to winning the general election.

For Democrats to win, they must win in "blue wall" states. If the Republican Party wants to win the election, it must work deeply in the "Sun Belt". Whether it’s a blue wall state or a Sun Belt state, neither party can avoid Pennsylvania.

In the first week of October, Harris' campaign team booked a lot of advertising in the three key "blue wall" states. They booked more than $5 million in advertising in Pennsylvania. The Trump campaign also spent the most on advertising that week in Pennsylvania, reaching $3.8 million.

Who is Saint Michael the Archangel? Former US President Trump prays to him

大天使聖米迦勒是誰?美國前總統川普向他祈禱
Former President Donald Trump published a traditional St. Michael the Archangel (St. Michael the Archangel) on 29 September 2024. St. Michael the Archangel) prayed, triggering widespread responses. So who is this angel, one of the few mentioned by name in the Bible?

St. Michael the Archangel

September 29 is the day when Catholics around the world celebrate "St. Michael's Day", which was originally called "Michaelmas". This post on X is another post after Trump celebrated the birthday of the Virgin Mary on September 8.

Trump's posts have been read more than 30 million times.

Catholic priest Gerald Murray told the Epoch Times that although the former president was not a Catholic, his posts were "very popular." "May God bless him and may God bless our country," he said.

According to the website of the St. Michael Monastery in southern California, Christian worship of St. Michael dates back to the 5th century AD, and Michaelmas was a very popular holiday in the Middle Ages.

In Christian theology, Saint Michael is the angel who expelled the devil from heaven. This belief stems from a passage in Revelation, the last book of the Bible:

“There was a war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought, but the dragon could not prevail, and there was no room for them in heaven anymore. So the dragon was cast down. He is the old serpent, called the devil and Satan..." (Revelation 12:7-9)

St. Michael is often depicted with one foot on the devil's neck, holding the sword of justice in his right hand and the scales in his left hand that weigh souls for judgment.

The prayer Trump posted originated from an experience that Pope Leo XIII had in 1884. He was celebrating Mass at the time, and bystanders saw the Pope suddenly standing still, looking far away, his face pale, and showing an expression of fear.

His secretary Rinaldo Angeli later stated that Leo XIII explained that he had seen a vision and heard a conversation between God and the Devil regarding the fate of the Church.

After the Mass, the Pope entered his private office, composed this St. Michael prayer and ordered it to be recited after weekday Masses throughout the Catholic Church. This requirement was removed in 1965, but many churches still follow the practice.

St. Michael is venerated as the patron saint of warriors, policemen and firefighters. He is also the patron saint of several countries, including Portugal, Germany, Russia and Ukraine.

There is a monastery on the island of St. Michael in France to commemorate the place where the archangel appeared to a bishop three times in 708 AD.

Kennedy Jr. focuses on chronic diseases in America after suspending campaign

Since former American independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that he would suspend his campaign and support Trump, He focused his energy on his "Make America Healthy Again" plan, touring across the country giving lectures and participating in podcasts and online forums to reduce or curb the epidemic of chronic diseases in the United States.

In an interview with The Epoch Times, Kennedy Jr. said that ending his presidential campaign was a difficult decision, but it was a "necessary step" to achieve his mission. "For the past 19 years, I have prayed to God every day that America's health crisis can be solved in the next generation." He mentioned, "This is one of the main reasons why I ran for president."

An environmental lawyer and founder of Children's Health Defense, Kennedy Jr. positioned his campaign on fighting "corporate control of government agencies" while working to end the chronic disease epidemic. He said the two problems feed into each other, and the actions of many American businesses have made the United States one of the healthiest and sickest countries in the world.

JFK Jr.: Ending corporate control of government agencies

"We have made these corporations and the institutions they control rich. Now they want to commodify all the things we hold dear in life." Kennedy Jr. said at the "Save the Republic" rally that the influence of corporate interests has penetrated into government decision-making. , leading to damage to public interests. Only by loosening the influence and control of enterprises on government agencies can the overall health and well-being of society be truly improved.

“The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are all controlled by large or private industry. Their function is no longer to improve and protect the health of Americans; To advance the business interests of the pharmaceutical and food industries, they have become puppets," he said at the event.

The rally attracted 6,500 supporters of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement to the National Mall in Washington. Kennedy Jr. was one of the keynote speakers at the rally.

Kennedy Jr. once said in a speech in Washington that the U.S. medical system and the status of medical care should be measured by patient outcomes, including indicators such as chronic diseases, childhood obesity, and life expectancy. He emphasized that the United States clearly lags behind some countries with smaller economies, such as Italy, in these aspects. He found that Italians lived longer and spent less on health care.

“Today, [comparing health indicators in the U.S. and certain European countries] we are an average of six years behind our European neighbours. Are we getting lazier and more suicidal than Italians, or is there something wrong with our system? Our incentives are there but is there a problem with our food?”

He said the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, has exacerbated the nation's health care crisis by driving up insurance costs, "making health care the biggest driver of inflation while American life expectancy has plummeted."

JFK Jr.: Only 1% of children in the Kennedy era had chronic diseases

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Kennedy Jr. has often questioned the authorities' decisions and actions during the epidemic, and blamed the United States for having one of the worst COVID-19 death rates in the world.

"Our health leaders say COVID is undermedicated. That's a lie. We have the highest rates of chronic disease in the world." Kennedy noted that two-thirds of U.S. adults suffer from chronic health problems, and 74% of the population are overweight or obese.

Additionally, diseases that once primarily affected older adults are increasingly common in today’s children. He said ultra-processed foods were a major culprit in the health crisis affecting young people.

"When my uncle was president (1961-63), only about 1 percent of children in the United States had a chronic disease. Today, that number is as high as 60 percent," he said. "Children are the country's most precious asset. How did we let this happen to them? How can we call ourselves a moral country, the most exemplary democracy in the world, if we treat our own children like this?"

"About 18 percent of American teenagers now have fatty liver disease, a condition that only affected older, late-stage alcoholics when I was growing up," Kennedy Jr. said. "Cancer rates are rising dramatically in young and old adults. Young adults' cancers are up 79%, while 40% of teenagers are taking antidepressants; 15% of high school students are taking armodafinil (Adderall) while no other country has such a situation."

"Currently, 70 percent of American children's diet consists of ultra-processed foods." He pointed out that these ultra-processed foods contain chemicals that did not exist a hundred years ago, and these ingredients are partly responsible for the increase in disease rates in all age groups.

"Many of these chemicals are banned for human consumption in Europe, yet they are ubiquitous in processed foods in the United States. We are actually systematically poisoning our children for profit." "Pesticides, food additives , drugs and toxic waste permeate every cell in our bodies.”

Kennedy suspended his presidential campaign on 23 August 2024 and supported former President and Republican nominee Trump.

北卡改變選舉規則 助受海倫颶風影響的選民
On Monday (7 October 2024), election officials in North Carolina in the United States approved some modified voting rules aimed at allowing those affected by Hurricane Helen Voters will be able to vote more conveniently in the November 5 general election.

The rule changes, unanimously approved by the N.C. State Board of Elections, will give local election officials flexibility to ensure residents in the state's mountainous west can cast their ballots despite disruptions to roads and communications networks.

The changes approved by the five-member Board of Elections will allow outreach teams from the 13 hardest-hit counties to visit disaster shelters and other areas to help people complete their voting.

These counties can modify early voting times and locations and change staffing plans if necessary.

The changes will also allow residents to pick up their absentee ballots at their local elections office on Election Day and return them at any polling place, instead of the limited locations previously allowed.

North Carolina is one of seven key swing states that could determine whether Republican Donald Trump or Democrat Harris Harris becomes the next president of the United States. Polls show a close race between the two candidates in the state.

Hurricane Helens killed more than 200 people in six states, with particularly severe damage in the mountainous west of North Carolina. Many roads in the region remain impassable and countless residents remain cut off from the outside world.

"Voters will continue to be able to cast their ballots, whether that requires four-wheelers, horses or helicopters," said committee member Stacy Eggers IV, a Republican from the hurricane-battered Mountain West town of Boone.

Karen Brinson Bell, executive director of the Board of Elections, said the goal is to ensure voters in all parts of the state have the same voting options, whether they vote by mail, early voting or on Election Day. .

Chinese people watch the US election: Whoever wins will fight against the CCP

中國民眾看美國大選:誰贏都會對抗中共
Tim Walz and JD Vance, the vice presidential candidates of the Democratic and Republican parties in the United States, After the first and only debate ended on Tuesday (1 October 2024) Eastern Time, overseas commentators believed that there were constant conflicts but the atmosphere was friendly. Perhaps because the Chinese people are unfamiliar with the two, their online attention is limited. Regarding the US election, the interviewees still have their own special views.

It seems that because it was the National Day holiday, the debate between Walz and Vance was not taken seriously by the Chinese Communist Party’s official media. Xinhua News Agency only released a short video on the morning of October 2, Beijing time, saying that this was the only vice presidential candidate debate in the U.S. presidential election, with topics including immigration and the economy.

The headline of the Caixin report on that day was: "The US vice presidential candidates held a televised debate, and the demeanor of both sides was well received." The report said: In the debate, both Walz and Vance pointed their sharpest fingers at the presidential candidate their opponent was partnering with, rather than the other party's vice presidential candidate.

A video that went viral on Weibo was "The last five minutes of the debate between Walz and Vance - the closing remarks."

"Jiangbo2084" mentioned in the first part of the post: "Yesterday I watched the vice presidential debate between Vance and Walz and made a summary of the part involving China. It turned out that it was sensitive and the censorship was blocked. Only I can see it. . In fact, the so-called sensitive points are nothing in my opinion, but I don’t care.”

Financial blogger Chen Yijia posted on Xiaohongshu that compared with the last two "Big Boss" debates, this time the confrontation between the deputy candidates was "less dramatic (transliteration of drama, referring to drama) and more of a long-lost thing, which is political dignity".

Blogger "Laoyan Translation": "The debate was praised as more substantive than last month's presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, with a deeper exploration of policy issues."

Weibo blogger "Baiyun Yuandao" wrote: "In the Trump and Harris (Kamala) election, the televised debates between the two deputies Walz and Vance were generally unremarkable. In fact, they were not surprising that on the stage of the protagonists, they are just compliments and foils. This position must be found correctly. First, it cannot be a hindrance. This debate was performed abnormally or was full of falsehoods. It failed to accomplish more than to fail. As a result, it became a scapegoat for failure. This responsibility I can't afford it, so it's most suitable to be average; secondly, I can't be too outstanding, make it shine, score more points than the protagonist, and attract people's attention to myself. This is stealing the show and the team will definitely be dissatisfied, so both sides of this debate are very restrained, just going through the motions, because the show will start in a month, and the finale will be announced..."

Beijing blogger "Lao Qiang Plus" posted on Weibo, "It's not hot at all, and it's far from the happy scene where Trump is present."

Discussions about the two vice presidential candidates are not hot. Several interviewees spoke to The Epoch Times about their views on the US election.

Lawyer Wu from Guangdong said that Trump’s narrow victory in 2016 and his narrow defeat in 2020 actually reflected the major changes taking place in American society, perhaps a turning point, and truly reflected the influence of Trumpism and anti-Trumpism on the American vote. Evenly matched. Moreover, the two are still very antagonistic, torn, completely denying each other and acting fiercely. Such a situation is rare in American history.

"If it is still a narrow victory this time, it means that the United States is still anxious and has not decided on a direction; if it is a victory or defeat with a large gap in the vote, it means that the United States has decided on a direction."

He believes that although Trumpism and anti-Trumpism in American society are opposed, they have the same attitude towards the mainland or the CCP. "It is bad and harmful. We need to decouple it and abandon the practice of hugging pandas."

Beijing scholar Mr. Zheng told The Epoch Times that the U.S. election is related to changes in the entire world structure and has a profound impact on international politics, so countries including the Chinese will also pay attention.

Mr. Zheng said that both parties in the United States realize that such a giant under the rule of the CCP is a serious threat to the entire world. The difference lies in whether to use the so-called slow fire to stew or the rapid fire to attack, whether to fight alone, as a family, or to form an alliance and combine multiple forces to deal with it. This is a difference in strategy.

He also believes that no matter who is elected, the confrontation between the United States and China is unlikely to change significantly. If there are no special factors in the future U.S.-China relations, there is a high probability that they will be fought but not broken.

Mr. Chen, a freelancer in Henan, said that the course of the U.S.-China relationship has been turned around by Trump's four-year presidency and will never go back. In the future, US-China relations will inevitably drift apart, and it will be difficult to return to the close and friendly state of nearly 40 years from 1978 to 2016. "In the future, the U.S. government will use words to appease the CCP and take measures to strictly prevent, isolate, and stay away from the CCP. This tone will spread, and the CCP will once again become an orphan in Asia."

China's Coast Guard enters Arctic Ocean for the first time? Experts analyze Beijing’s ambitions

中共海警首入北冰洋?專家析北京背後野心

As the Arctic climate warms, the CCP’s attention to the Arctic continues to escalate. Recently, the CCP’s coast guard was revealed to have entered the Arctic Ocean for the first time, triggering Western doubts about its Arctic ambitions.

News (17)

China’s Coast Guard claims to have entered the Arctic Ocean for the first time

On 1 October 2024, the U.S. Coast Guard stated that it had discovered four Russian Border Guard and Chinese Coast Guard vessels in the Bering Sea. This was the "northmost" location where the U.S. Coast Guard had discovered Chinese vessels so far.

The next day, the Chinese Coast Guard stated on social media that the operation was part of a joint patrol with Russia. "This is the first time a Chinese (Chinese Communist Party) Coast Guard ship has entered the Arctic Ocean."

The statements of the United States and China are not consistent. Ye Yunhu, secretary-general of Taiwan's Chinese Coast Guard Association and professor of the Maritime Police Department of the Central Police University, told The Epoch Times that although the Chinese Coast Guard said it had entered the Arctic Ocean, the U.S. Coast Guard only detected it in the Bering Sea, and it is not clear what the situation is at the moment. .

"Although there is a lot of melting ice in the Arctic Ocean now, icebreakers are still needed to cross places with relatively low temperatures in the Arctic Ocean. The Chinese Coast Guard must go with the icebreakers, or use Russian icebreakers." He added.

Jiang Xingpiao, an assistant researcher at the National Defense Strategy and Resources Institute of the National Defense Security Research Institute, told The Epoch Times that joint patrols between China and Russia through coast guard ships instead of navies can dilute concerns about military forces entering the Arctic Ocean. On the other hand, it can create an opportunity for Arctic Ocean routes.

"It hopes to operate this route, so it has taken these actions. But after all, China is not an Arctic country, so it must cooperate with Russia. At this stage, Russia hopes to receive assistance from the CCP, so they are willing to cooperate."

The CCP Coast Guard is operating further north than before, which means that the CCP is extending its Coast Guard into the traditional territorial waters of the United States and sending a provocative signal to the United States.

In July this year, U.S. warplanes intercepted two Russian and two Chinese bombers in the U.S. Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) over Alaska. This unprecedented move by Russia and China highlighted their expanding partnership.

Ye Yunhu said that the CCP Coast Guard and the military are both under the Central Military Commission and basically serve two purposes. The CCP now has a routine. As long as the CCP navy passes by, the CCP coast guard will almost follow. The CCP military had been discovered in the waters near Alaska before, and it didn’t take long for the CCP coast guard to follow the military’s lead and project its coast guard into this high-latitude area. This routine is also very similar to the Taiwan Strait. For example, the Chinese Communist Navy first crossed the Taiwan Strait and even went to eastern Taiwan. Not long after, the Chinese Coast Guard ships went to the eastern waters of Taiwan to conduct so-called drills.

"What is the purpose? I think the declarative meaning is greater. At this stage, the CCP still puts public opinion first. It first looks at everyone's reaction and then tells everyone that I can come here."

Ye Yunhu said that the main purpose is to form a navigation practice in the Arctic Ocean and tell everyone that the Arctic Ocean is an important waterway; on the other hand, it also tells the United States that the capabilities of the Chinese Coast Guard can be projected there.

China’s Arctic ambitions

As the Arctic climate warms, the CCP’s attention to the Arctic has been escalating since 2007. It currently has three icebreakers; from 2000 to 2024, the proportion of CCP scientists in Arctic-related scientific papers has increased fivefold. These have raised questions about its Arctic ambitions.

In January 2018, the first "Arctic Policy White Paper" officially released by the Communist Party of China stated that (Communist) China is geographically a "near-Arctic country", although Mohe County, Heilongjiang Province, the northernmost country on the mainland, is more than 1,400 kilometers away from the Arctic Circle, and Harbin's dimensions are roughly equivalent to those of Venice, Italy.

The white paper also mentioned the "Polar Silk Road". Through the Arctic route, the transportation of goods from Shanghai to Hamburg only takes 18 days, while it takes about 35 days to pass through the Suez Canal. The Arctic route is currently only open in summer and autumn.

In the eight years since China Ocean Shipping Company first passed through the Arctic waterway in 2013, the company has dispatched 26 ships to conduct 56 voyages, including 14 voyages in 2021 alone. But after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, these voyages stopped.

Jiang Xin-pyo said that in the game between the United States and China, for the CCP’s maritime communication lines, the Arctic Ocean route is relatively short and the cost can be significantly reduced. The Arctic Ocean route is also relatively simple and not too dangerous, so it will strive to operate the Arctic Ocean route as long as there is an opportunity.

"Secondly, from a military perspective, if a nuclear-powered submarine can lurk under the Arctic Ocean, its ballistic missiles will be very close to any point in the world. If there is an opportunity, it will of course be willing to deploy there, but it will be difficult. But it has Once the Arctic Ocean route is established, we will dispatch escort troops step by step based on maintaining the safety of the Arctic Ocean maritime communication lines."

Ye Yunhu said that the CCP has been plotting against the Arctic Ocean, calling itself a near-Arctic Ocean country, and even describing itself as a geographically disadvantaged country under the Convention on the Law of the Sea. It believes that the Arctic Ocean also has its own rights under international law; at the same time, in the Arctic Ocean, in addition to the exclusive rights of coastal countries, Outside the economic sea area, there is a large piece of ice in the middle, which is one of the only remaining public lands in the world. The CCP is trying to fight for it.

"Because 70% of China's trade relies on sea routes, more and more ice is melting in the Arctic Ocean. In the future, in addition to the Northeast Passage and the Northwest Passage, new routes may appear. Under such circumstances, navigation benefits can be directly expected. In addition to navigation benefits, there is also the possibility of resource development, such as natural gas, oil, and flammable ice. Can we get a share of the pie in the future?”

CCP China's acts in conflict with Russia's long-term interests

In July, the U.S. Department of Defense warned in its first Arctic strategy update in five years that "Russia's isolation as a result of its sweeping invasion of Ukraine has left it increasingly dependent on China for the financing of energy export infrastructure in the Arctic." , "China (the Communist Party of China) and Russia are conducting more and more cooperation in the Arctic region through various means of state power", which may "change the stability and threat situation in the Arctic."

The Sino-Russian joint statement in February 2022 mentioned the Arctic for the first time. "Both sides agreed to continue to strengthen practical cooperation and promote the sustainable development of the Arctic." During Putin's visit to Beijing in May 2022, the two countries vowed to "promote the Arctic route to become a Important international transport corridor".

China is also developing its dual-use Arctic military and civilian capabilities, enhancing Russia’s ability to threaten the United States and its NATO allies while diverting attention from the Indo-Pacific region.

Jiang Xinpiao said that in the past, Russia was on guard against the CCP, but as Russia faces Western sanctions, it needs the CCP as a friend and has to make many trade-offs. It can give up some benefits, but it will definitely stick to some bottom lines. For example, Russia’s core military technologies, such as nuclear-powered submarine silent technology, heavy bomber engine technology, etc., cannot be given to the CCP.

"Similarly speaking of Arctic interests, there are places in Russia where it can cooperate with the CCP, and there are places where it must stick to its own core interests. It can be said to be mutual use, but currently there is more cooperation than competition."

Analysts believe that in the long run, the CCP’s Arctic ambitions conflict with Russia’s interests. The cooperation between the two parties is not an alliance, but driven by their own speculations. This framework is very subjective and prone to change.

Moreover, most of the Arctic routes are within the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) along the Russian coastline. Moscow believes that it is necessary to impose transit tariffs and insists that foreign ships can only use icebreakers in Russia and apply its own domestic laws rather than international laws.

Ye Yunhu said that there are Northwest Passage and Northeast Passage in the Arctic. The Northeast Passage mainly passes through Russia. If you want to use the Northeast Passage to sail across states and oceans, Russia forces you to use its icebreakers and pay some fees. Many countries believe that this should not be done and that there should be free navigation and innocent passage.

Russia and CCP China do not trust each other

There is deep-rooted distrust between Russia and China. In June 2020, Moscow accused one of its top Arctic scientists, Valery Mitko, of spying for Beijing.

To date, Sino-Russian joint exercises have been largely fixed and performative, more of a signal than an ongoing attempt to develop actual interoperability capabilities, reflecting a lack of trust between the two countries.

Ye Yunhu said that if the CCP wants to project military power in the Arctic Ocean, it must cooperate with Russia, but each has its own calculations and there are many elements of gaming. In fact, some of the cooperation between the Russian Navy and the People's Liberation Army basically involves patrols in the waters surrounding Japan, and even near the Taiwan Strait. They are all aimed at the United States and its allies, which is equivalent to telling everyone that they are forming alliances.

"How far can we actually cooperate? Are we so-called hard-core brothers? This has always been a question mark," he said.

The West curbs CCP’s expansion ambitions

Rising temperatures in the Arctic are slowly opening up new possibilities for transportation but geopolitics are changing the region even faster.

The war in Ukraine has heightened Western suspicion of Chinese involvement in any major Arctic project. The CCP claims to be neutral, but it maintains an "unlimited" friendship with Russia and provides huge support to Russia's defense industry.

The war in Ukraine led to a freeze in the Arctic Council's activities, and all members of the Arctic Council, except Russia, are now members of NATO.

Russia's power in the Arctic is weakening, and the frustration this has brought to the CCP is obvious. Mainland scholars wrote an article stating that "the original balance in the Arctic has been broken, and the balance in the Arctic is tilting towards Western countries." They said that the CCP's influence in the Arctic is The region's image faces "significant risk of decline."

Previously, Chinese state-owned enterprises have tried unsuccessfully to purchase Arctic assets, including investments in a Greenland airport and rare earth mines and a gold mine in Canada.

Now Canada is working with Nordic countries to create a new Arctic security alliance that excludes Russia and provides a place for coordination on defence, intelligence and cyber threats.

CCP hopes to turn Norway's port into China's transit point on the Arctic route

The Chinese Communist Party had hoped to turn Kirkenes, Norway's Arctic ice-free port, into a transit point on the Arctic route. Many Chinese companies have shown huge investment interest in Kirkenes but the Norwegian government believes that unless a clear framework can be developed to ensure national security, otherwise the government will not be open to Chinese companies.

China's Artic ambitions eventually will irritate NATO, the U.S. and Canada

Ye Yunhu said that within the strategic framework of Xi Jinping’s so-called great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, we must challenge the existing international order. All the CCP’s construction of the Arctic is tantamount to telling the international community that the CCP should distribute some benefits in the Arctic Ocean, which will inevitably irritate NATO, the United States and Canada.

Jiang Xinpiao said that cooperation between Russia and China will arouse the vigilance of the United States, Canada and other countries, and create a situation similar to confrontation in the Arctic Ocean.

"These will also be organized to respond to a joint patrol between China and Russia in the Arctic Ocean. This year may not be enough. Maybe next spring and summer, the United States, Canada and other Arctic countries will also unite to organize a joint patrol fleet to deal with China and Russia.

CCP China tests missiles into Pacific Ocean, Kiribati rarely criticizes

中共向太平洋試射導彈 基里巴斯罕見批評
The Pacific island nation of Kiribati criticized the Chinese Communist Party’s test launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile in September. The President of Kiribati stated that the high seas of the Pacific Ocean are part of the "Blue Pacific Continent" and that the actions of the Chinese Communist authorities are "unwelcome".

Kiribati is located south of Hawaii and has a vast exclusive economic zone of 3.6 million square kilometers (approximately 1.4 million square miles).

Kiribati was originally an ally of Taiwan, but severed diplomatic ties with Taipei in 2019 and established diplomatic relations with Beijing. In recent years, the Chinese Communist Party’s influence in Kiribati has increased, causing concern in Western countries. Therefore, it is rare for Kiribati to directly criticize China's missile test, which is particularly concerning.

On 25 September 2024, China launched an intercontinental ballistic missile equipped with a simulated warhead into the Pacific Ocean, saying it was for weapons testing and training. However, many Oceania countries, including Fiji, Australia and New Zealand, said the move was concerning.

The Office of the President of Kiribati issued a statement on Facebook stating that Kiribati had never received notification from CCP China before the test launch.

The statement said the Chinese Communist embassy told Kiribati that there was no need for Beijing to sound the alarm because the test was not aimed at any country in the Pacific region.

"Kiribati does not welcome China's recent intercontinental ballistic missile test," the statement read. "The high seas of the Pacific are not an isolated ocean. It is part of our blue Pacific continent and part of Kiribati, so we call on all involved-weapons countries that are experimenting should stop such behavior and maintain world peace and stability."

Although the 18 member countries of the Pacific Islands Forum are small in size and population, they own a vast joint sea area. They call it the "Blue Pacific Continent" and declared the area a nuclear-free zone decades ago. .

As competition between the United States and China intensifies, the geographical location of Pacific island countries has become increasingly important and of great strategic value. After the CCP signed a security treaty with the Solomon Islands in 2022, the competition between the United States and China in the region has also escalated.

Kiribati will hold direct presidential elections this month, with all four candidates coming from the Care party led by current president Taneti Maamau.

U.S. think tank report reveals CCP’s role in driving U.S. fentanyl crisis

美智庫報告揭中共推動美國芬太尼危機
In September this year, the Heritage Foundation released a report exposing the role of the Chinese Communist Party in promoting the fentanyl crisis in the United States. The report shifts the focus from Mexico to co-conspirator China and proposes policies to hold CCP China accountable.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid 50 times more potent than heroin. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that 108,000 Americans will die from drug overdoses in 2023, of which nearly 75,000 (about three-quarters) were caused by synthetic opioids (mainly fentanyl). The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration says fentanyl is "the deadliest drug threat America has ever faced."

Robert Greenway, director of the Ellison Center for National Security, said: “Between 2021 and 2023, more Americans will die from opioids than from World War I, the Korean War (Korean War) and the Vietnam War. It’s much more than that. It’s long past time to confront the CCP, the author of America’s fentanyl crisis.”

“For years, China has harmed U.S. interests by providing financing and production resources to Mexican gangs to expand its market for fentanyl. Mexico and China have repeatedly demonstrated a lack of commitment to solving this crisis.” “China has responded to this crisis. Bearing direct responsibility but never bearing the consequences.”

Andrew Harding, a research associate and report co-author, added: “Despite its distance, China — not Mexico — has emerged as the primary driver behind the U.S. fentanyl crisis.” “China’s Toxicology Chemistry Substances and money laundering fuel the Mexican cartels and poison Americans. "China's latest offensive against the United States confirms that China remains the United States' number one adversary."

A summary of the report and its recommendations are below:-

• Chinese pharmaceutical companies and other vendors use markets on the dark web to sell illegal narcotics, including many fentanyl precursors and chemical materials.

• The money laundering link of fentanyl trafficking networks shows that the Chinese Communist Party’s role in the fentanyl crisis is not limited to Mexican ports. The Chinese Communist Party is very active throughout Mexico and even the United States.

• The United States must take the lead in responding to the fentanyl crisis and must take steps to protect America’s trade, financial, and health care systems while deploying U.S. intelligence and law enforcement to combat these illicit networks.

Fentanyl crisis sweeps U.S.

As the fourth wave of opioids sweeps through every community and corner of America, more Americans are dying from fentanyl overdoses than ever before. Six years ago, in 2017, Kim Blake's son Sean died from an accidental fentanyl overdose in Burlington, Vermont. He was 27 years old.

"Every time I hear news of a life lost to substance abuse, my heart feels more broken," Ms. Black wrote in a 2021 blog for her son. "Another family shattered. Dreams and celebrations lost forever, Forever sad."

In 2021, for the first time in history, the number of drug overdose deaths across the United States exceeded 100,000. The drug is illegally manufactured and trafficked by criminal syndicates. According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), most illicit fentanyl found in the United States is made using chemicals from China and trafficked through Mexico.

In 2010, less than 40,000 people died from drug overdoses in the United States, and less than 10% of them were related to fentanyl. At that time, deaths were primarily due to the use of heroin or prescription opioids.

Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) recently released a study describing this contrast, using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to examine trends in drug overdose deaths in the United States from 2010 to 2021. The data paint a clear picture of how fentanyl has redefined drug overdoses in the United States over the past decade.

Nearly every corner of the United States, from Hawaii to Alaska to Rhode Island, is affected by fentanyl. Data shows that the number of deaths from fentanyl first increased in 2015. Since then, the drug has spread across the United States, and death rates have increased dramatically.

UCLA researchers found higher mortality rates from fentanyl and cocaine use in northeastern U.S. states such as Vermont and Connecticut. Studies have found that U.S. states such as Alaska, West Virginia, Rhode Island, Hawaii and California have the highest rates of overdose deaths from fentanyl and another drug.

“降半旗致哀” 传南昌国殇日升旗出故障(视频)

It is reported that the flag-raising ceremony on the "National Day of National Humiliation" in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province malfunctioned, causing the blood-stained flag of the CCP to stop in mid-air. Nanchang is regarded by the CCP as the birthplace of the army, and the accident was ridiculed by netizens as a "bad omen" for the CCP.

In the morning of 1 October, the Nanchang authorities of the CCP held a flag-raising ceremony at the "August 1 Square" and organized a large number of people to watch. However, there was an accident during the flag-raising process.

Several videos circulated online showed that during the flag-raising process, after the CCP national anthem was played once, the music stopped, the blood-stained flag did not rise to the top of the flagpole, and remained in mid-air, two or three flag bodies away from the top. The military honor guard under the flagpole still mechanically executed the procedure, ended the salute, terminated the flag-raising ceremony, and let the blood flag float in the air.

The cause of the accident is currently unknown. According to public information, the Chinese Communist national anthem needs to be played three times when the flag is raised at Tiananmen Square in Beijing.

Some mainland netizens said that there was a power outage during the flag-raising in Nanchang, which caused the flag-raising to become "half-mast", and called it an "ominous sign". Another netizen lamented that "the turmoil of the country and the people's hearts and minds".

Mockery at the Communist flag half-mast

Some netizens also mocked on overseas social platforms that the flag-raising became "mourning", which may be a reminder from heaven to the Chinese people that this is the "National Day of Martyrdom".

Many netizens also left messages: "It is difficult to defy God's will", "It is obviously a good sign", "It is a sign that the army is turning against the enemy!" "Quiet, quiet. (The CCP) is almost finished." "I heard a lot of joyful laughter (at the scene)".

Some netizens took the opportunity to ridicule: "This must be the destruction of class enemies! "This situation occurred after many domestically made parts were replaced by imported parts from Japan and the United States."

Currently, the CCP is facing internal and external troubles, the domestic economy is in deep crisis, and the political situation is turbulent.

The power structure of the top CCP must have changed

At the CCP's "October 1st" reception this year, many retired CCP elders sat at the same table with Xi Jinping, and former Politburo Standing Committee members Li Ruihuan and Wen Jiabao sat on both sides of Xi. Outside analysts believe that this ranking is unprecedented, and it may indirectly confirm that the power structure of the top CCP has changed.

It is reported that veterans formed a group to rob party officials. The CCP report is to beware of rotten tail soldiers and rotten tail babies

传退伍军人组团抢劫党官 中共报告提防烂尾兵烂尾娃

CCP China's society is in recession, unemployment is soaring, and various indiscriminate hacking and hitting incidents are frequent. Recently, there have been many killings of officials.

Australian legal scholar Yuan Hongbing revealed that the CCP once issued a social report, specifically reminding the "rotten tail babies" and "rotten tail soldiers" of the threat to the CCP regime.

According to the CCP official media, the portal website of the newly established CCP department "Central Social Work Department" (abbreviated as: Central Social Work Department) was officially launched on 1 October 2024. The department was established in March 2023. According to official introduction, the department is responsible for petition work, national industry associations and chambers of commerce, and party building work of social groups.

In an interview with Vision China, Yuan Hongbing said that the Ministry of Social Affairs is essentially a national power organization that uses the power of the Communist Party of China to implement comprehensive monitoring of China's grassroots society. It is responsible for collecting comprehensive information on grassroots social dynamics. In fact, it is a quasi-spy organization.

Yuan Hongbing quoted people within the Communist Party system as saying that in fact, as early as before the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Wu Hansheng, Minister of the Ministry of Social Affairs, submitted a report to the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China entitled "Two Current Social Dynamics That Should Be Highly Attached Importance" and it was issued to the provincial and ministerial party organizations of the Communist Party of China by the General Office of the Central Committee led by Cai Qi.

People within the system revealed that the first social dynamic mentioned in this report is unemployment, and the main focus is on two unemployed groups, one is the unemployed university graduates, including postgraduates, who are called "rotten tail babies", and the other is the unemployed veterans, who are called "rotten tail soldiers".

The so-called "rotten tail babies" refer to children from ordinary families who have been in school for more than ten years and are unemployed after graduation. The term "stalemate" has become popular on social media this year, similar to the tens of millions of unfinished "stalemates" that have plagued CCP China's economy since 2021.

The CCP report said that these two groups have a considerable degree of dissatisfaction due to lack of employment. However, since they are unemployed, they are outside social organizations, so it is difficult to effectively monitor them.

The report specifically pointed out that there is a tendency for unemployed college graduates to form various quasi-organizational contact platforms, such as alumni fairs, stalemate mutual aid associations, etc., to vent their dissatisfaction with society on these platforms.

Yuan Hongbing gave an example, saying, "In March 2024, in a series of public places such as public toilets and farmers' markets in cities such as Xi'an, Xianyang, Baoji, Kaifeng, and Luoyang, 83 spray-painted slogans with the same content appeared in one week. The content of this slogan is: Cowards go commit suicide, good men learn from Peng Zaizhou, fight against dictatorship and fight for freedom. All the slogans are signed by the revenge team of the rotten tail babies."

In addition to the "rotten tail babies", the report also proposed a group of rotten tail soldiers". The report pointed out that since 2023, a large number of home robberies committed by unemployed veterans have appeared, and the vast majority of the targets are officials of the party, government and state-owned enterprises, among which officials in the financial and banking systems account for the highest proportion.

The report also stated that some veterans who robbed officials of their wealth have established connections with "hostile forces" abroad, saying that "this behavioral dynamic from economic to political has great potential dangers."

Yuan Hongbing revealed that the second social dynamic raised in this report that should be highly valued is that the CCP’s local finances are in difficulty, grassroots officials have suffered salary cuts and salary extensions, and grassroots officials are generally lazy and negligent in their work. What is more serious is that some officials believe: “We are so poor that we only have the power in our hands. The central government doesn’t care about us. We can only rely on the power in our hands to save ourselves and get rid of poverty.”

Yuan Hongbing said that this situation is particularly serious in a certain province in the south. The information with the highest current spread rate is that from 2025 to 2027, it is the window period for the CCP to send troops to attack Taiwan, and it is also the last window period for officials to use their power to “get rid of poverty and become rich”. Officials believe that as long as the war breaks out and the world is in chaos, no one will pursue the transaction of power and money. This ideology has greatly deceived some officials. According to the investigation, a considerable number of managers in the warehouses that store various materials and strategic materials in this province have different degrees of embezzlement.

CCP reported mutual killings of CCP officials

Recently, many killings of officials have occurred in the mainland. On 19 September 2024, Liu Wenjie, 58, secretary of the Party Committee and director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Finance, was killed at home.

On 1 October 2024, the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Li Changyue, the head of the Public Security Bureau of Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, was shot twice by Duan Peng, the deputy captain of the special police.

Du Wen, a former CCP official in exile, said that there are many cases of Communist Party members killing Communist Party members and subordinates killing superiors within the CCP, especially on major sensitive days, and there will be more and more frequent killings of officials in the future.
