Thailand recently cut off power to some scam parks on the Thai-Myanmar border. However, mainland media reported that these parks use diesel to generate electricity and continue to operate. A video circulated on the Internet, the authenticity of which is unknown, shows that the helicopter is transporting an oil tanker to a scam centre.

On Tuesday (4 February 2025), Thai Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai announced that relevant agencies will implement power outages in some designated areas on that day, including Shwe Kokko (in Myawaddy Town), KK Park and Myawaddy. These three areas are close to the Thai-Myanmar border and are notorious centres for online scams and human trafficking in Myanmar.

According to local media such as the Bangkok Post, Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra left for Beijing on Wednesday. Early that morning, Thai authorities cut off power, oil and Internet access in five areas including Myawaddy, Myanmar, near the Thai border, hoping to crack down on scam parks.

However, these online fraud parks have been prepared. Local residents revealed that they have seen many large diesel generators arrive at the parks in the past few days, and the scam centres can continue to operate. Some parks are expected to switch to power supply from Laos in the next one or two days. However, most local residents cannot afford generators and their lives are in trouble.

China Business News also quoted news that the scam centres on the Thai-Myanmar border have prepared 10,000 liters of diesel in advance, which can generate about 30,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity, and there is a "Starlink" backup network. The report claimed that "it is very difficult to eradicate telecom scam groups" and that these scam groups "are using AI translation software to turn their fraud targets to European and American countries."

According to a large number of reports, the main victims of telecom fraud in Myanmar are Chinese. Many Chinese have been lured or kidnapped to Myanmar and forced to engage in call-centre scams, and even tortured, blood drawn, and organ harvested alive. Many survivors revealed that the bosses of call-centre scam groups are all Chinese, and these scam parks are inextricably linked to the CCP system.

After Thailand cut off power to some telecom fraud parks, a video that was difficult to distinguish between true and false was circulated online. Some netizens believe that this video explains "why it is difficult to eradicate Myanmar's call-centre scam parks."

The video uploaded to the X platform on Thursday shows a large helicopter with a tanker hanging below it, flying in the valley. Some netizens said that this was a helicopter transporting fuel to Myawaddy and was photographed by locals.

The video sparked heated discussions. Some netizens said that this is a Mi-26 helicopter, while others believed that it is a Mi-171 helicopter. Others said that the time and location of this video are unknown, and its authenticity is also questionable.

However, many netizens recognized that the CCP is the boss behind the Southeast Asian scam parks, and left messages to denounce the CCP: "It is basically Chinese scammers running it, and the backstage is the children of Chinese (CCP) high-ranking officials."
