At 10.39 am on 22 May 2025, a B737F aircraft with EMS painted on its vertical tail took off from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, fully loaded with cross-border e-commerce products, and successfully arrived at Tokyo Narita International Airport at 1.32 pm, marking the official launch of China Postal Airlines' "Hangzhou=Narita" international cargo route. The route operates three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Hangzhou, located in the southern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, is the extension intersection of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road". In recent years, this city, which has nurtured a thousand-year business vein relying on the Grand Canal and Qiantang River, has shaped the global trade pattern with the "Digital Silk Road" as a link. Last year, the import and export volume of cross-border e-commerce exceeded 200 billion yuan. The opening of China Postal Airlines' "Hangzhou=Narita" international cargo route is closely linked to the pulse of local economic development, providing high-quality aviation capacity support to help build its global e-commerce hub.
The China-Japan route is known as the golden route in the international cargo market. China Postal Airlines has previously operated 13 routes to Japan. The launch of the "Hangzhou = Narita" route is also an important measure for China Postal Airlines to further enhance its service capabilities for e-commerce companies, while continuing to increase the construction of the global logistics supply chain system and improve its international freight logistics network layout to Japan.
It is also reported that the "Hangzhou = Narita" route is the fifth international freight route opened by China Postal Airlines this year after "Quanzhou = Clark", "Guangzhou = Clark", "Guangzhou = Dhaka" and "Yancheng = Kansai". So far, China Postal Airlines' international routes have increased to 28, of which 4 are operating in Zhejiang Province, namely "Yiwu = Kansai", "Yiwu = Manila", "Yiwu = Clark" and "Hangzhou = Narita", contributing to the high-quality development of Zhejiang's foreign trade economy.
