Myanmar: Formal entry requirement updates from 17 April 2022

According to Myanmar National Airlines, with effect from 17 April 2022,  all travelers need to present at the check in counters their negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test results issued at 72 hours before arrival to Myanmar. Besides, travelers must have the following documents ready:


- Valid Visa to enter Myanmar

- Minimum 6 months validity of passport

-Foreigners need a COVID-19 medical insurance purchased from Myanma Insurance ( Detailed information can be obtained at the Myanma Insurance’s website)

 

Upon check-in, travelers need to present  a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that  they were fully vaccinated, at least 14 days before arrival to Myanmar. Vaccination records at the time of covi vaccination are acceptable.

 

Travelers have to submit Health Declaration Forms to the respective airport health authorities upon arrival to Myanmar. The forms will be provided when they are onboard the flights.

 

Travelers have to fulfil the following requirements at their own costs:

1.            A private transportation from the airport to the designated hotel;

2.            A stay at a designated hotel until the result of COVID-19 RT-PCR test

3.            A COVID-19 RT-PCR test to be undergone by a laboratory approved by the MOH

Travelers may check- out from the designated hotels, after receiving their test results showing negative for COVID-19 from the respective health authorities.
