The black box of the crashed passenger plane of China Eastern Airlines was sent to the United States for interpretation earlier. Recently, several well-known "airline V-certified accounts" on China's Weibo broke the news that the black box has been successfully deciphered and returned to China, and all sectors are looking forward to the release of the preliminary result report.

On 2 April, Bloomberg first reported that China Eastern's black box had been sent to Washington for interpretation. Recently, a number of well-known aviation influencers on Weibo in China broke the news that the black box has returned to Beijing with Air China CA86 at 2.30 pm on the 8th.

It is reported that what was sent to the United States this time for interpretation was the cockpit voice recorder found earlier in the two black boxes, and whether the second black box, the flight data recorder, was sent to the United States together, temporarily no official word came out. However, according to previous reports by Bloomberg, people familiar with the matter revealed that both black boxes were sent to the United States for interpretation. Deciphering the black box data requires a unique compression algorithm, which may be the reason for sending it to the United States for interpretation.

If the news that the big V broke the news is true, the decoding of the black box of the China Eastern Airlines passenger plane voice recorder has been completed in the United States, so how long will it take to announce the final cause of the accident to the outside world?

According to the International Civil Aviation Convention, after an aircraft accident, the country responsible for the investigation must submit a preliminary report to the International Civil Aviation Organization within 30 days.

The China Eastern passenger plane crashed on 21 March 2022. If the agreement is fulfilled, there will be an official preliminary report before 21 April at the latest. The final results of the investigation require multiple considerations, and the time for the release of the report is still uncertain.

In addition, regarding the news that China Eastern Yunnan co-pilot Zhang Zhengping left a suicide note and committed suicide, the Civil Aviation Administration of China publicly responded to it for the first time on April 11, calling this statement a rumour. At the same time, a surprising detail was revealed unexpectedly.

Wu Shijie, Deputy Director of the Aviation Safety Office of the CAAC said, "After the "3.21" accident, the mentality and emotions of front-line civil aviation practitioners were impacted, and some employees were emotionally fluctuated, especially some young aircrews showed stressful psychological reactions, and their mood was low."

This detail has made the public more and more worried about flight safety.
