The Republic of Nauru announced on 15 January 2024 that it had severed diplomatic relations with the Republic of China (Taiwan) and restored diplomatic relations with CCP China. Taiwan has severed diplomatic relations with Nauru. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) pointed out that Nauru has asked for huge economic aid from my country and compared the aid packages provided by Taiwan and China.
