The hotel exterior does not state that it is Golden Phoenix Hotel. Only when I enter the lift after check-in, the English name of the hotel appears.
I did not join Golden Phoenix Hotel's free-return bus transfer service as the transfer service from the hotel to the airport needs to be done one day before and the departure time to the Beijing Capital Airport is on every hour on the hour. Trip.com's Meet and Greet Service allows me to check into the hotel in less than thirty minutes after exiting the airport without calling the hotel to pick me up.
On the way back to the airport in the morning of 5 July 2026, I was late in returning to the hotel after plane-spotting by two minutes. However, as I have checked out before 2 pm, I am grateful for the hotel's DiDi arrangement to bring me back to the airport to check-in for my outgoing flight, for free.

I want to thank the hotel staff for their friendliness and patience to let me change from Room 6108, as the windows are not transparent, to Room 6303 where I can occasionally see an aircraft flying above near the hotel.
Golden Phoenix Hotel is located along the western and eastern sides of flight paths to Beijing Capital Airport Terminal 3. On the west of the hotel is the small car park, where when there are few vehicles parking, one can stand there to spot planes flying towards Terminals 2 and 3 of Beijing Capital Airport. However, the best place to see aircraft flying towards the airport is walking to the south of the hotel, i.e. walk within two minutes to the neighbourhood vicinity, Yinghua Community Road Branch Line (樱花小区路支线), to see planes flying past Golden Phoenix Hotel towards the Beijing Capital Airport, after crossing the traffic lights.
I will consider staying in Golden Phoenix Hotel again if I need to be very close to the plane-spotting action on planes flying towards Terminal 3, if the room rate continues to be lower than Hilton Beijing Capital Airport and if no deposit is required.
