The epidemic situation in China continues to heat up. In order to prevent the Omicron variant strain (Covi29), Wuhan has urgently blocked 4 expressways and 4 national highways to prevent the epidemic intrusion from Henan, Xi'an and other places.

At present, China is being double attacked by Omicron and Delta (Delta) viruses. Among them, Omicron has broken through 7 provinces and cities in China, including Tianjin, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, Changsha, Hunan Province, Anyang, Henan Province, Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, Zhejiang Province and Dalian, Liaoning Province.

Hubei Province is adjacent to the two provinces of Henan and Shaanxi where the epidemic broke out. In order to prevent the intrusion of the epidemic, the two levels of government in Wuhan City ordered on the evening of January 11 to block 4 expressway exits and 4 provincial trunk highway checkpoints.

According to a report by Radio Free Asia on the 12th, the official notice provided by Wuhan residents showed that four highway exits in Xinzhou (Shigang, Yangluo, Wangji, Daguang), four national and provincial trunk highway checkpoints (Phoenix, Shuangliu) were involved. Dabu, Xinchong Jiejialou, Cangbujiao Sandian), and two key intersections of Pantang and Xugushahe were blocked.

The report quoted Wuhan resident Li Fangmin as saying that the Wuhan government is mainly to prevent the outbreak of Omicron in Henan, and some intersections have been set up for strict inspections.

Li Fangmin told Radio Free Asia, "Henan is about 200 km away from our Wuhan, and the nearest distance is more than 100 kilometers to Wuhan. Now it is strictly controlled and strictly guarded, and no one knows what the state is."

The outbreak of Omicron in Henan originated in Tianjin, the first Chinese city where the local Omicron outbreak occurred. Officials say the virus has been spreading silently in Tianjin for at least three generations for at least 15 days.

At present, the Tianjin Omicron epidemic has spread to Anyang, Henan, and there are also risks in Beijing, Hebei and other places.

Anyang has announced an emergency closure on the 10th, with 5.5 million people under home quarantine and prohibited from leaving. More than 4,000 teachers and students of Yucai School in Tangyin County of the city were all quarantined.

As the Beijing Winter Olympics approached, the rapid spread of Omicron in China made the CCP authorities highly nervous, and local governments ordered to strengthen epidemic prevention and control.

The above-mentioned notice in Wuhan shows that the local area launched emergency detection and control measures on the evening of the 11th, focusing on passenger, freight, and private vehicles from medium and high-risk areas such as Henan and Xi'an.

The notice also requires migrant workers, especially those in medium and high-risk areas, to celebrate the New Year on the spot; Wuhan citizens are required to "leave the city and the province" and not engage in gathering activities during the New Year.

Wuhan citizens who have experienced a city closure have already started hoarding supplies. "I'm still worried about the recurrence of the epidemic in the previous year and last year. We still need to buy more reserve materials, and every household needs to reserve it to expand." Li Fangmin told Free Asia.

He said, "Wuhan was closed in 2020, and the people went into panic. If this continues, they will either be controlled to death or starved to death."

Wuhan is known as the "Nine Provinces Link" and is an important transportation hub in China. It is about 1,000 kilometers away from major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Xi'an. There are four main railway lines including Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Kowloon, Wujiu, and Handan. It will gather here with Beijing-Zhuhai and Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway.

With the formation of the high-speed rail network, it is basically within 5 hours from Wuhan to Beijing, Chengdu, Xi'an and other important cities.

In addition, Wuhan Port is also an important hub port and an open port in the Yangtze River Basin; Wuhan Tianhe Airport, the largest airport in Central China, is an entry and exit port in Central China that can apply for visas on arrival, and is one of the four major hub airports in the country.

Sitting for a long time will cause waist soreness, blood vessels hardening, abnormal immune system

Nowadays, many office workers sit down for a long time because of the high work pressure. Long-term sitting will cause soreness in the waist and even hardening of blood vessels. In addition, the immune system will also be abnormal.

For example, Chang Gung Rehabilitation Department Minister Pei Yusheng has been going to the outpatient clinic for a long time, plus he has to do medical research, and he sits down like this for at least three hours.

Pei Yusheng, Director/Professor of Linkou Chang Gung Rehabilitation Department, said, "Physicians often have to sit for a long time in their work. For example, when we are looking up (medical) magazines, we will sit for a long time for hours without standing up."

Prolonged sitting can cause cancer, stroke, diabetes

Pei is a rehabilitative physician. In addition to helping patients with rehabilitation in outpatient clinics, it is inevitable of him to read medical records and inquire medical literature, either sitting in the office or in the consultation room. He said, "Large-scale observational studies have found that prolonged sitting can harm the body and even increase the incidence of fatal diseases, including cancer, ischemic heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, diabetes, etc.  Sedentary reflects a person's living habits, excessive static and lack of activities, more importantly, sedentary is often related to long-term watching TV, watching mobile phones, using computers to work, these are all bad health habits."

Prolonged sitting will cause deterioration of blood sugar metabolism

Cai Yulin, a specialist in health sciences, said, "Continued sitting for a long time will cause the blood sugar metabolism to deteriorate, forcing the body to produce more insulin, increasing the dysfunction of insulin-producing cells, and some studies have pointed out that sitting for a long time will increase the body's cells' resistance to insulin, leading to the occurrence of diabetes."

Prolonged sitting will lead to heart failure

Cai Yulin, a specialist in rehabilitation, said, “The effect of prolonged sitting on the human body is systemic, and it will lead to heart failure. Vascular disease, sedentary, reduced demand for heart work, further deterioration of circulation, and increased blood concentration, which will lead to increased blood pressure and increased risk of arteriosclerosis over time.”

Standing up regularly, walking, doing exercises help

The doctor recommends giving yourself a good habit of standing up regularly. At home or in the workplace, people need to move, such as pouring tea, tidying up the environment, etc. For the musculoskeletal activities of the whole body, if you have to sit for a long time, you can actually change your posture in time, and move your hands and feet, which will also help a lot.

Chen Guancheng, the attending physician of the Rehabilitation Department of National Taiwan University Hospital, said, “In addition, it can be accompanied by some muscle strengthening training to avoid muscle atrophy, so when we are sitting, we can put our thighs at this time. Straighten forward, then move up and down slowly, and do leg lifts, so that we can train the quadriceps of our thighs and let them do muscle strengthening training.”

A medical study found that if a person does some small movements while sitting, he or she can consume up to 20 calories per hour, and it can also promote blood circulation and let blood flow to the still arms and thighs.

Chen Guancheng said, "Simple movements that can be done while sitting and in the office, including the first movement that can stretch and relax the fascia, such as turning the head at a 45-degree angle and slowly stretching down to relax your fascia can be done in our office.”

Doctor: Seats should be based on the principle of good support

Taoyuan Chang Gung Rehabilitation Department Attending Physician Chen Zhiguang: "Comfortable seats make people sit longer, and sitting still for a long time is the main reason for sitting life, which is harmful to health. Therefore, seats are not for comfort, but should be based on the principle of good support, and hence high seats are preferred. If it is too low, it will cause a burden on the spine.”

He added, “Sitting must be easier than standing, people can often sit for a long time but they cannot stand for long periods of time. So from the time point of view, standing work can indeed allow us to move our bodies more often, and we can avoid long-term immobility and harm to our bodies.”

Sitting for a long time at all ages is harmful to health. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 60 to 85% of the world are inactive or insufficiently active, and it is recommended that adults should exercise regularly. Do moderate-intensity exercise to reduce the risk of disease caused by prolonged sitting!

Pompeo: CCP China has built the dirtiest surveillance state

Image credit : The New York Post

After countries such as the Netherlands and Belgium warned athletes to be wary of CCP surveillance, former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also tweeted, reminding U.S. athletes participating in the Beijing Winter Olympics to keep their phones and laptops away at home.

Pompeo tweeted, "Olympics athletes must understand the risks of going to Beijing. The Chinese Communist Party has created the dirtiest surveillance state ever created and will monitor everything athletes say and do. Our athletes should leave their phones and laptops behind. At home, like me and my team, like the Dutch were asked to do."

According to the Dutch newspaper Volks, the Dutch Olympic Committee will advise national athletes and staff who go to Beijing to participate in the Winter Olympics not to bring electronic products such as mobile phones and laptops into China. Geert Slot, a spokesman for the Dutch Olympic Committee, said cybersecurity was part of a risk assessment the Dutch Olympic Committee had made on the trip to China. After arriving in China, Dutch athletes will use new electronic devices to avoid personal information being intercepted by China's surveillance system, according to people familiar with the matter.

In addition to the Netherlands, the Belgian Olympic Committee has also advised national athletes participating in the Beijing Winter Olympics to keep their laptops and mobile phones at home to avoid athletes being targeted by Chinese spys.

Xi Jinping's speech at the Party School worries about the loss of vitality of Marxism

Li Zhanshu finally appeared. On Tuesday, the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held the opening ceremony of the special seminar of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. All members of the Seventh Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China attended, including Li Zhanshu, who disappeared mysteriously for two weeks.

CCTV footage showed that Li Zhanshu was sitting next to Xi Jinping, looking nothing out of the ordinary. Previously, Li Zhanshu was absent from the CPPCC New Year's tea party, which all seven members of the Standing Committee were supposed to attend, sparking speculation. Some people say that Li Zhanshu may have an accident, and some people say that there may be something wrong with his health.

Hu Ping, a political commentator living in the United States, analayzed, "It is estimated that (Li Zhanshu) disappeared some time ago, not necessarily for no reason. Considering some other circumstances, for example, the former political commissar of National Defense University, General Liu Yazhou, also disappeared. The lien has not been written down to this day. It seems that some things are happening at the upper levels, and there are some power struggles. Of course, what is more concentrated is that the upper levels of the party have a high degree of centralization of Xi Jinping’s personal power. From the angle of view, there is considerable dissatisfaction.”

At the opening ceremony of the special seminar, Xi Jinping said, "The task of reform, development and stability is the heaviest, there are so many contradictions, risks and challenges, and the tests of state governance and administration are unprecedented." On January 11 last year, at the opening ceremony of a similar seminar, Xi Jinping also said: "Time and momentum are on our side, and this is where our strength and confidence lie."

A year has passed, and the "time and situation" and "confidence" that Xi Jinping said have disappeared, turning into "risks, contradictions and challenges", and the rhetoric seems to have changed a lot.

Hu Ping said, "Of course Xi Jinping will feel that today's situation, whether within the party, domestically or internationally, has changed somewhat from when he said that the east is rising and the west is falling, and it is inconsistent with his original judgment. There is a stronger sense of crisis now than a year ago."

Xi Jinping also said in his speech that "without the courage to innovate in theory", "Marxism will also lose its vitality and persuasion", clearly emphasizing the importance of the so-called "theoretical innovation".

The Epoch Times columnist Zhong Yuan pointed out that the CCP’s third “historical resolution” launched by the Sixth Plenary Session earlier is equivalent to a set of Marxist theories of the “new era”. Officials participating in the seminar should also be able to understand that the key is not how severe the situation is, but just being ready to express and applaud the new theories of the "new era" in a timely manner.

Of course, Xi Jinping’s remarks can also be seen from another angle. In fact, Marx’s theory has already lost its vitality and persuasion, but it can be used by the ruling party to carry out packaging and innovation, and provide a legal coat for their own centralization.

Hu Ping added, "The Communist Party oppresses people in the name of theory, because the Communist Party is after all a product of modern times, and it cannot directly say that a certain person is the son of God, he is sacred and inviolable, and it cannot say so."

Columnist Zhong Yuan concluded that it is not difficult to imagine that in 2022, no one will really solve many problems in China and abroad, and the CCP's infighting will lead to more and bigger problems, whether it is to protect the party or re-elect Xi Jinping in 2022. The new year is destined to be another year of the CCP's tossing and tossing, and the life of the common people may be even more difficult.

Surprising changes in men's bodies after long-term "absence of alcohol"

Image : Stay away from alcoholic beverages and find life better. (pixabay)

With the continuous development of winemaking technology, more and more varieties of wine have come out, such as rice wine, white wine, wine, fruit wine, and red wine. Proper drinking has little effect on health. It will have a very adverse effect on the body, and will also increase the burden on the liver, causing alcoholic liver and liver cirrhosis.

News (13)

Harmful effects of long-term heavy drinking on the body revealed
1. Liver disease
The liver is the largest detoxification and metabolism organ in the body. Every time the human body drinks wine, it will flow into the liver. Before entering the liver, the wine will be converted into ether and ethanol with the participation of various enzymes. These two substances have extremely strong effects on the liver. Damaged, long-term drinkers' liver function will become worse and worse, and it will also increase the probability of the body suffering from alcoholic liver.

2. Injury to the mouth
Before entering the internal organs, alcohol first flows into the mouth. Long-term heavy drinking will damage the health of teeth, induce oral ulcers, periodontitis and other oral diseases. In severe cases, it may even cause esophageal cancer and oral cancer.

3. Injury to gastric mucosa
After alcohol enters the body, it flows into the stomach. Long-term heavy drinking will damage the gastrointestinal health, corrode the gastric mucosa, easily induce gastritis and gastric ulcers, and aggravate the appearance of stomach discomfort.

If people who drink regularly have stomach pain and acid reflux, it means that alcohol has produced a very stimulating reaction to the stomach.

4. Damage to the cranial nerve
People who have been drinking heavily for a long time will also be eroded by alcohol in the brain, which is prone to unresponsiveness and slurred speech, which increases the probability of senile dementia.

5. Cardiovascular disease
Moderate drinking can accelerate the blood flow of the whole body, excrete cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood in time, and prevent the blood vessels from thickening. probability.

News (14)

5 phenomena that men "don't drink" for a long time are obvious
1. Liver function recovery
The liver plays the role of a cleaner. The liver helps the body detoxify and detoxify the body. For people who drink a lot for a long time, the alcohol will be decomposed into ether and ethanol after entering the body. These two substances can easily damage the health of the liver.

After stopping drinking, the liver will gradually recover to health due to the absence of the stimulation of ether, and the liver function will slowly return to a healthy state under its own strong regeneration and repair ability.

2. Stable blood pressure
The cause of high blood pressure in most elderly people may be related to unhealthy eating habits and routines.

When alcohol enters the body, it will also lead to aggravation of cardiac contractility, increased blood pressure, and rapid heartbeat. Men who do not drink for a long time will gradually stabilize their blood pressure and gradually restore their cardiovascular health.

3. Memory improvement
Long-term drinking can also inhibit the central nervous system. After stopping drinking, cranial nerves, neurons, and many damaged cells and tissues will gradually return to a healthy state. At this time, the human body will obviously feel that its memory is improved and the vitality of the brain nerves is increased.

4. Digestive system improves
Long-term alcohol abuse will damage the gastrointestinal mucosa, affect the ability of gastrointestinal digestion and peristalsis, lead to lack of gastric function, and easily induce gastritis and gastric ulcers. After stopping drinking, the gastric mucosa will gradually appear healthy without the stimulation of alcohol, not only the appetite will be improved, but the digestive function will also be restored.

5. Decreased blood lipids
The main reason for inducing hyperlipidemia is due to the increase of cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations in the blood. People who drink a lot for a long time will also fluctuate in blood lipids after drinking. After stopping drinking, the blood lipid data in men will gradually decrease, which can effectively prevent the occurrence of cardiovascular disease and reduce adverse complications.

If you want to quit drinking, it is actually very simple. As long as you make up your mind, stay away from the temptation of alcohol, and persevere, you will be successful. You will find that your mood is brighter and your life is better.

The CCP is accelerating the construction of villages on the border of Bhutan. Scholars: It is like building islands in the South China Sea

The CCP authorities are accelerating the "building of villages" on the border of Bhutan. A satellite image analysis result shows that Beijing has built a total of 2 villages in 6 places. There are more than a hundred buildings, including some two-storey buildings.

According to Reuters (link), images and analysis provided by HawkEye 360, a US-based geospatial analysis company, confirmed the recent construction by the CCP authorities in Bhutan. The images have been checked by two other experts, the report said.

Chris Biggers, director of the Hawkeye 360 project, said that since the beginning of 2020, the CCP's construction activities on the western border with Bhutan have not stopped. By 2021, the construction speed will be even faster.

Biggs said smaller structures could be seen being built, possibly to house equipment and supplies, before foundations were laid and building began.

"For me, 2021 is a time of acceleration," Biggs said.

All six settlements appear to be on territory disputed by China and Bhutan, including a disputed 110-square-km block of land with few resources or native populations, two other experts said.

Bhutan is one of the few countries in the world that has not established diplomatic relations with China.

"Bhutan's policy is not to discuss border issues in public," Bhutan's foreign ministry said in response to questions from Reuters, declining to comment further.

The experts and an Indian Defense Ministry source believe the buildings show that China is crystallizing its ambitions to resolve border claims.

Bhutan, adjacent to China's Tibet Autonomous Region, is a country with a population of less than 800,000. For nearly 40 years, Bhutan has been negotiating with Beijing to settle their 477-kilometer border.

For Bhutan, the issue is not just territorial integrity, but also concerns over the potential security implications of India, Bhutan's main ally and economic partner.

In the latest round of negotiations in April 2021, the two countries have agreed to speed up the negotiations, Bhutan's foreign ministry said. However, experts have criticized that the CCP continues to build villages in uninhabited areas while negotiating, and is actually encroaching on the territory of Bhutan.

Scholar: CCP is turning land borders into the South China Sea

Some analysts have pointed out that the situation on the border with Bhutan is reminiscent of the CCP’s actions in the South China Sea in recent years, that is, the indirect encroachment of foreign territory through construction on strategic and disputed land.

The villages are of strategic value to Beijing, two experts said. The buildings are located about 9 to 27 kilometers from the Doklam area at the border of India, Bhutan and China, where Indian and Chinese troops faced off for more than two months in 2017.

The settlements will allow Beijing to more effectively control and monitor remote areas and possibly use them to build defenses, an expert and source from the Indian Defense Ministry told Reuters.

China's foreign ministry said the project was "completely aimed at improving the working and living conditions of the local people", adding that "it is within China's sovereignty to carry out normal construction activities on its own territory."

Hal Brands, a professor of global affairs at Johns Hopkins University in the United States, once said that the CCP's "village-building" in Bhutan is a "21st-century land grab", and its method is similar to the CCP's control A similar strategy in the South China Sea is to use "fait accompli" to change the international order and avoid major conflict with neighboring countries or the United States. (learn more)

Robert Barnett, an expert on Tibet at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London, said Beijing's construction of villages along the Bhutan border appeared to "force Bhutan to bow to Chinese demands in border negotiations".

He further noted that the settlements appear to be part of a plan announced by Beijing in 2017 to build more than 600 villages on the border of the Tibet Autonomous Region.

These new villages were built in places where no one had settled before. Barnett said the Chinese authorities are subsidizing residents to settle there.

"All the cross-border villages in the western region of Bhutan are chosen where there are no natural villages because these areas are hardly habitable," he said.

Taylor Fravel, director of MIT's Security Studies Program, said the buildings showed that China may want to consolidate control and improve infrastructure along the border.

Brahma Chellaney, an Indian geostrategist, wrote an analysis in the Nikkei Asian Review at the end of November last year. He pointed out that the CCP is “building villages” on the border of Bhutan because international law determines that civilians settle down. A point is evidence that a country effectively controls an area.

"Building artificial villages in the desolate Himalayas is like man-made islands in the South China Sea," Chellaney wrote. (News (17))

Chellaney pointed out that while building the village, the CCP also built military roads on Bhutanese territory to counter India's most vulnerable Siliguri Corridor. Known as the "chicken neck", the corridor is located at the intersection of Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh, and is only 22 kilometers wide at its narrowest point.

Nathan Ruser, a research fellow at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, told Reuters that it would be a challenge for India and Bhutan to counter China's construction.

"Any action against these Chinese facilities will put civilians at risk." Luzer said, this makes it difficult for India and Bhutan to combat the Chinese Communist Party's occupation of territory.

American scholar: The CCP's establishment of villages in Bhutan is a new type of territorial aggression

Image : An empty road during a lockdown in the capital of Bhutan as a precaution against COVID-19 on 13 August 2020. (Upasana Dahal/AFP via Getty Images)

Hal Brands, a professor of global affairs at Johns Hopkins University in the United States, said that the media recently revealed that the CCP is in Bhutan. "Building villages" within the territory is a kind of "21st century land grabbing". Its tactics are similar to the CCP's strategy of controlling the South China Sea. It uses "fait accompli" to change the international order and avoid major conflicts with neighboring countries or the United States.

Since 2015, the Chinese Communist Party has built previously unnoticed roads, buildings and military posts in Bhutan, Foreign Policy magazine reported on 7 May 2021. The report said the construction was an effort by the Chinese Communist Party to consolidate the borders of Tibet and strengthen its influence over India.

American foreign policy scholar Hal Brands, a columnist for Bloomberg, wrote on Sunday (16 May 2021) that the CCP's action has shown the world "what the land grabbing looks like in the 21st century.".

Beijing's strategy, he said, is also "favoured by countries that want to change the international order but are not ready to go head-to-head with it."

It is unclear whether the Bhutanese government is aware that China has actually invaded the border, or whether Bhutan is aware of the Chinese invasion but is unable to respond.

"Before 1945, the direct and blatant subjugation of an entire country was more common, just think how many times Poland was wiped off the map by a great power," writes Brands. "However, since the Second World War, Since the war, only one internationally recognized country, South Vietnam, has disappeared because of military aggression."

He said that when North Korea tried to conquer South Korea, or when Saddam Hussein ruled Iraq and temporarily annexed Kuwait, the US-led international community stepped in to stop and restore the status quo.

Brands believes that the key to peace is the "Pax Americana" (also translated as "American Peace") after World War II.

"American rule of the world" refers to the relatively peaceful world status quo dominated by the United States since World War II in 1945. Rooted in military alliances and forward deployments, the reign of America provides unprecedented security in key regions of the globe. Socialist countries such as the CCP found it difficult to openly confront the status quo supported by the United States, and began to resort to more roundabout ways of aggression.

Brands points out that, as research by Georgia State University scholar Dan Altman shows, since 1945, limited land grabs, in which an aggressor takes a small piece of land quickly or covertly, have more often occurred.

“China has taken a piecemeal, cannibalizing approach to control the South China Sea, taking a series of actions, such as building an artificial island here, seizing a coral reef there, to change the status quo and avoid triggering a major conflict with its neighbors or Washington. conflict," he wrote.

Beijing has frequently used such aggression methods recently, such as covertly dispatching troops to terrain that India or Bhutan considers inaccessible, using the Coast Guard to continuously exert low-level military pressure, and testing Japan's control over the Diaoyu Islands.

"China's sneaky aggression in Bhutan makes its assurances that it will never pursue hegemony or expansion a joke," Brands wrote.

He said that China and Russia do not want to be bound by the alliance and military power of the United States, but are only afraid of the consequences of aggression. Land grabs in Ukraine, the South China Sea and even the Himalayas are disturbing in themselves. More worryingly, the expansion of China and Russia in the gray area shows that this fear is slowly waning.

U.S. State Department: China's extensive maritime claims in the South China Sea are illegal

On Wednesday (12 January), the U.S. State Department released the "Marine Limits Study" report, and the U.S. side came to a conclusion on the CCP's maritime claims in the South China Sea. Said that China's (CCP) maritime claims against most of the South China Sea are illegal claims, including illegal historical claims.

This Maritime Boundaries Study is a long-standing legal and technical series examining the maritime and boundary claims of different countries and assessing their consistency with international law. The 150th article in this latest study is about China's maritime claims to the South China Sea.

The State Department said the study was based on a U.S. State Department analysis of China's "nine-dash line" claims in the South China Sea. Since 2014, China has continued to make claims over large swathes of the South China Sea as well as what it calls "internal waters" and "outer archipelagos," all of which are inconsistent with international law, such as the 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Through its "nine-dash line", Beijing has claimed "historic rights" to more than 80 percent of the South China Sea -- an area 2,000 kilometers (1,243 miles) from the mainland that stretches into waters close to Indonesia and Malaysia.

Issue 150 of the U.S. Department of State's Ocean Limits Study report, published in Chinese, states that this study examines the maritime claims of the People's Republic of China (China) in the South China Sea. China's extensive maritime claims in the South China Sea are inconsistent with international law as reflected in the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (the "Convention").

Article 150 also lists four categories of maritime claims of China (the CCP) in the South China Sea and their illegal reasons. These four categories of maritime claims are: sovereignty claims over maritime features below sea level, straight baselines, Seas, historical rights. Click here for details.

The article also writes that the overall impact of these maritime claims is that China is unlawfully asserting sovereignty or some form of exclusive jurisdiction over much of the South China Sea. These claims seriously undermine the rule of law at the sea and the many recognized provisions of international law reflected in the Convention. For these reasons, the United States and many other countries have rejected these claims in favor of a rules-based international maritime order in the South China Sea and around the world.

The U.S. State Department’s press release on the same day also stated that the U.S. reiterated its call on China’s maritime claims to comply with international law as reflected in the Convention on the Law of the Sea and to abide by the arbitral tribunal’s decision in the South China Sea Arbitration on July 12, 2016 , while cessation of its illegal and coercive activities in the South China Sea.

Trillions of dollars of trade flow through the South China Sea each year, which also contains rich fishing grounds and gas fields. The CCP unilaterally declared a U-shaped "nine-dash line" that overlaps with the exclusive economic zones of all ASEAN member states, including Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and the Philippines, and claims sovereignty over large swathes of the South China Sea.

On 12 July 2016, the Netherlands International Arbitration Court in The Hague made a ruling on the "South China Sea Arbitration Case" proposed by the Philippines, denying China's "nine-dash line" claim on the South China Sea. The arbitration stated that China's "historical rights" claimed within the "nine-dash line" have no legal basis, and it does not have exclusive economic zone rights in the Nansha Islands. At the same time, the CCP has caused permanent and irreversible damage to the coral reef ecology in the Nansha waters. The ruling also accused China of violating the Philippines' traditional fishing rights in the waters off Huangyan Island.

Disputes between the United States and China over the South China Sea have been escalating since Beijing began to reclaim land and build military facilities in some waters of the Nansha Islands in 2016, and has frequently clashed with its neighbors in the South China Sea.

On 11 July 2021, U.S. Secretary of State Blinken reiterated the policy announced by the United States on 13 July 2020 against the claims of maritime rights in the South China Sea, that is, the denial of most of the CCP’s sovereignty over the South China Sea during the Trump (Trump) administration. claim. This is the same as reiterated last year by then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who said at the time that "Beijing's claims to offshore resources in much of the South China Sea are completely illegal, and it controls through bullying."

Blinken also called on the CCP to "abide by its obligations under international law, stop provocative behavior, and take steps to assure the international community that China is committed to maintaining a rules-based maritime order and respects the rights of all countries, large and small."

Omicron spreads, Dalian and Tangshan are affected

At today's (12 January) prevention and control meeting, the person in charge of the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission said that according to the teaching arrangement, most of the students in most colleges and universities have left school and returned home during the New Year.

The notice pointed out that from 23 December 2021 to 9 am of 12 January, the total number of teachers, students and employees in the Tianjin education system was 345,295. At present, more than 329,000 students from Tianjin and nearly 8,000 teachers and staff from Tianjin have undergone nucleic acid testing in the territory, and 7,929 people have not undergone nucleic acid testing. ("News Insights")

More than 340,000 people have left Tianjin in the education system alone. So how many others are there? The authorities have no statistics, and we have no way of knowing. But it can be judged that that number should be much larger than the number of people in the education system. So I say that no matter what kind of extreme lockdown Tianjin takes now, it is already too late, and the virus has already spread widely across the country.

Today (12th), a netizen in Fengnan District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province broke the news to me that the Fengnan authorities issued an "urgent notice" that Kong xx, deputy director of the Fengnan District Supervision Bureau, has been identified as a "close contact" of the confirmed case in Tianjin ". Everyone who has been in contact with Kong xx since 31 December is required to report immediately to the unit and village where they belong, and at the same time "stay at home".

According to netizens, the confirmed cases that Kong xx came into contact with were his wife Wang xx and daughter Kong xx. The mother and daughter were diagnosed in Tianjin yesterday (11th). At present, seven or eight communities have been blocked in Fengnan District. Netizens also pointed out that "there should be many similar situations around Tianjin."

The notice from Fengnan District also sent by netizens has been sent to the Lunan District of Tangshan City. The letter of assistance contains the movements of Wang xx and Kong xx in Fengnan District, as well as their real names. But we started from human nature and covered up their names.

It can be seen from the photos sent by netizens that the gates of some communities in Fengnan District have been cordoned off. There are already shortages of goods in some supermarkets, and some vegetables have been sold out. According to the development of this situation, it is estimated that the residents of Fengnan District who have learned the news may soon rush to grab shopping supplies, and hoard some essential items before the authorities seal it on a wider scale.

On 12 January, Dalian reported that two positive patients who returned to Dalian from Tianjin were found in Ganjingzi District. The two tested negative when they left Tianjin on the 8th, and were put under control after arriving in Dalian on the 9th. The test was also negative on the 10th.

According to the report, the two are college students' friends. They were active in Jinnan District, Tianjin from the 3rd to the 8th, and they returned to Dalian on the T367 train together on the 8th. At present, 25 close contacts and 56 second close contacts have been screened, all of which have been controlled.

It can be seen in the video uploaded by netizens that the Dalian police have blocked relevant communities and blocked traffic.

Dalian is the third city to be officially notified of the discovery of a variant of the covi variant Omikron, and the second to be linked to the Tianjin outbreak. A related case in Tianjin has been found in Anyang City, Henan Province. It is estimated that in the next period of time, different regions will follow up and report cases related to the Tianjin virus.

In the previous program, I have analyzed that Beijing is the main destination of Tianjin people. There are tens of thousands of people going to and from Beijing and Tianjin every day, so the situation in Beijing is not optimistic.

KingMed Diagnostics is accused of spreading poison and sees Zhong Nanshan's shadow again

Then there is another shocking news. Today (12 January), the police in Xuchang, Henan Province reported that “Zhang Xdong, the regional head of Zhengzhou KingMed Diagnostics Clinical Laboratory Co., Ltd., violated the provisions of the Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases by committing behaviors that caused the spread of novel coronavirus pneumonia or had a serious risk of spreading. "

The report stated that the Yuzhou police had taken coercive measures against Zhang Xdong on the 10th, and the case was still being processed.

After the news came out, netizens talked a lot. On the one hand, it is because the Henan authorities are investigating the responsibility for the out-of-control epidemic prevention, and I wonder if someone is throwing the blame and trying to pass the responsibility to Zhengzhou KingMed Diagnostics. On the other hand, if there is indeed a problem with Zhengzhou KingMed Diagnostics, then there is a lot of content behind the Xuchang police report.

First of all, this notification pointed out that the KingMed Diagnostics was suspected of carrying out the behavior that caused the spread of the virus. Some netizens said, "Xuchang, Henan, the person in charge of a nucleic acid detection agent company was caught by the police for spreading the virus himself for selling detection agents?..."

Here we need to know whether Zhengzhou KingMed Diagnostics is intentional or unintentional. This is a completely different concept, and there will be completely different results.

"First Finance and Economics" reported today (12th) that Zhengzhou KingMed Diagnostics said that the company and the parties fully cooperated with the police investigation. According to the report, the person in charge of the criminal investigation Zhengzhou Golden Mile Company may be suspected of "delaying the test".

This statement actually means that the nature of the event has changed, and "delaying detection" and "spreading poison" are completely different in nature.

I received a revelation from an informed netizen here, which is a screenshot of the chat between two people. One of them said that he had "worked" at Golden Mile. The friend said, "It's normal. Previously, the nucleic acid tests on our side were all samples sent to Jinyu, and they were directly thrown into the trash can. If you give a negative result, you're done."

The netizen also said, "There is no such thing as testing. It is said that it takes at least two hours to test on the machine. As soon as the door is closed, all the samples are thrown away, labeled as medical pollutants, and incinerated."

I can't confirm whether what netizens said is true or not. If it is true, it proves that Golden Mile is doing this on purpose. So it depends on the background of the company.

Some netizens said angrily, "This is the benefit of capital. For the sake of profit, I can't wait to let the Chinese people die. This kind of bastard and bastard company must be severely punished." Another netizen said, "This one should throw nails on the ground with tire repairers. It's the same thing", "The owner of the coffin shop is afraid that it won't sell."

Second, it was mentioned in the notification that Zhang Xdong, the regional head of Golden Mile Company, was put on file. So people want to know whether the headquarters of Golden Mile Company knew about this behavior of spreading the virus? Are you also involved?

A netizen posted on the Weibo of the "Beijing News", "Guangzhou KingMed Diagnostics, instruct the people below to poison." I can't confirm whether the news posted by netizens is true or not, and it's hard to say, it involves The problem is huge. But from the statement of Xuchang police, it seems to have such a meaning.

According to public information, the headquarters of KingMed Diagnostics is in Guangzhou, and its legal representative is Yan Ting. According to the company's information, there are as many as 65 companies associated with Yan Ting. I didn't find more information about Yan Ting, but can be associated with so many companies, "This woman is unusual."

Third, does this KingMed Diagnostics have a big backer? Who is this backer? Will the authorities investigate and pursue them to the end? The common people need to know that the authorities have an explanation.

A netizen said in a WeChat group, "Zhong Nanshan's son's KingMed Diagnostics has been poisoned." He said it twice. Some netizens also said that Zhong Nanshan had a stake in Golden Mile.

I followed this clue and found no direct evidence. But there is a lot of news on the Internet that there is a lot of intersection between Zhong Nanshan and this company, and there is some kind of relationship.

For example, on 23 December 2020, the University of Macau stated on Facebook, "The University of Macau and Guangzhou KingMed Diagnostics Group Co Ltd. under the direction of Zhong Nanshan will jointly build the University of Macau-KingMed Joint Innovation Laboratory". It is mentioned here that Guangzhou Jinyu Medical Laboratory Group Co., Ltd. is "guided" by Zhong Nanshan. How should this "guidance" be understood?

In addition, on 17 September 2021, the official website of "KingMed Diagnostics" stated, "Last year (2020) led by Zhong Nanshan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the novel coronavirus pneumonia research project participated by Jinyu won the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award Special Prize". This proves that Zhong Nanshan and KingMed Diagnostics have at least cooperation.

On 20 December 2021, KingMed Diagnostics established an "academic committee" in Guangzhou, and Zhong Nanshan was the "chairman" of this committee.

What is the relationship between Zhong Nanshan and KingMed Diagnostics? From Banlangen Granules, Lianhua Qingwen Capsules, and this time KingMed Diagnostics is suspected of spreading poison, Zhong Nanshan, an expert in the CCP's royal family, has been brought out every time. But every time he can get off the hook smoothly, who is the ghost behind him?

Fourth, do the authorities have anything to say about the patients infected by the virus spread by Zhengzhou KingMed Diagnostics? Economic losses can be compensated by money. How do they compensate those who were unfortunately killed by the virus using KingMed Diagnostics reagents? How can people make up for the trauma caused by their spirituality?

Fifth, how do the authorities track and recover nucleic acid reagents that have been scattered around? How to deal with it after taking it back? If it is destroyed after recovery, who will bear the loss? Are Chinese people still willing to sacrifice the "price"? Is it still up to the Chinese people to pay for it? If it is not destroyed, will the East Village be recovered and then transferred to the West Village for continued use?

For the above series of problems, the authorities need to give the people a practical explanation.
