It was a stunning last act for Barr with Trump. He had infuriated congressional Democrats after he released a summary of the Mueller report – which when viewed in full spelled out 10 areas of potential obstruction of justice by Trump.
Barr hit back at Democrats for their criticism that his summary did not reflect the totality of the serious admonitions contained in the full report, which probed Trump's firing of former FBI Director James Comey and potential efforts to obstruct the Mueller probe itself.
"That’s not true. What it was, was a tantrum by the people who were hoping that Mueller would be able to bring down Trump," Barr said. 
The ex-attorney general and his boss did not speak until weeks past the election afterwards, Barr wrote in his personal account of the Trump White House titled One Damn Thing After Another.
In the latest segment obtained by Fox, Barr described an October 2020 phone call from Trump. It was allegedly soon after the former president watched a Newsmax clip about the laptop, which threatened to have explosive information on then-candidate Biden and his recovering drug addict son.
Barr claimed Trump asked him, "You know this stuff from Hunter Biden's laptop?'"
"Mr. President, I can't talk about that, and I am not going to," Barr said he "sharply" replied.
The former Cabinet official said Trump was displeased with his tone and asked him to consider whether it was one of his five children instead of Biden's son.
"You know, if that was one of my kids-- " Trump began, according to the book.
Barr cut him off, "Dammit, Mr. President, I am not going to talk to you about Hunter Biden. Period!"
The attorney general said his chief of staff was left stunned after the phone call ended shortly thereafter.

Barr claimed to have attended an election night party the next month but otherwise had no direct contact with Trump until three weeks after the election.

“This whole maneuver of trying to get the Ukrainians to investigate Biden. That was a hare-brained scheme. It was ridiculous," Barr said.
He said he was "livid" when he learned Trump told Zelenskyy that he would have lawyer Rudy Giuliani and Barr call Zelenskyy. The Justice Department denied Barr had any knowledge of the situation when the call transcript came out.
Barr describes the episode in his memoir, One Damn Thing After Another.
A New York Post report from October 2020 that emails found on Hunter's laptop could purportedly implicate Joe in his embattled son's international business dealings during his time as vice president.
A hard drive obtained by DailyMail.com revealed the laptop contained communications that appear to show deals cut by Hunter and his business associates, and meetings with foreign officials while his dad was in the Obama administration.
A particularly email sent to Hunter Biden outlined a "provisional agreement" that included 10 percent equity in a Chinese energy company for "the big guy" - later identified as Joe Biden.
It also contained salacious pictures and videos of the current president's son performing sexual acts with prostitutes and using what appears to be a crack pipe.
Trump and his opponents had hoped the laptop would derail Biden's presidential campaign.

Trump claims Communist China ready post-Olympic Taiwan grab as Pompeo met Taiwan officials
In March 2022, former U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that China would follow Russia’s Donbass claims by mobilizing its own forces to invade the Republic of China, which Washington on the surface recognizes as a province of Beijing. Strained U.S.-China relations were recently tightened by the dispatch of Washington delegates to Taiwan.
“Taiwan is next,” former U.S. President Donald Trump proclaimed in a
Wednesday morning interview with Maria Bartiromo, host of Fox Business "‘Mornings With Maria."
Such a move will be carried out sooner, rather than later,
according to the one-term 45th President of the US, who claimed Beijing
is “seeing how stupid the United States is run."
He additionally proclaimed that this is CCP China’s “time” to conduct
an offensive against Taiwan, particularly because Beijing has observed how
“incompetent” Washington has become.
“President Xi happens to be a man with a high intelligence level,”
Trump suggested, adding that the chaotic US pullout from Afghanistan was an
example of the Biden administration’s foreign policy and military failures.
“[Xi] saw the way that we left Afghanistan like a surrender and
left $85 billion and death behind and left American citizens there that are
still trying to get out,” Trump said. “This is his opportunity to do what he
wants to do, which is ... he's wanted to do that, and China's wanted to do that
for decades.”
Trump expressed similar views during a February broadcast of "The
Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show." The former US president has also maintained
that such a move would not have occurred under his administration.
Pompeo is visiting Taiwan until 5 March 2022 and
has held talks with the Republic of China President Tsai Ing-wen and delivered his speech on Taiwan-U.S. relations on 4 March 2022. The visit
comes just days after the guided-missile destroyer Ralph Johnson conducted a
reported routine freedom of navigation transit through the Taiwan Strait. CCP China
panned the destroyer’s movement as “provocative,” while the Seventh Fleet
emphasized the “transit through the Taiwan Strait demonstrates the United
States’ commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.”

CCP may threaten Taiwan over sanctions on Russia
While both Beijing and Washington recognize Taiwan as part of China, concerns have been raised regarding a possible mainland response to the island’s recent decision to support US-led anti-Russian sanctions and remove Russian banks from the global SWIFT financial messaging network.
