A topic on Weibo, "Research confirms that the novel coronavirus is made by an American company" topped the trending list. At that time, data showed that it had already attracted 230,000 discussions and 860 million views.
This news was originally published by a self-media account called "Taowen" in mainland China, and was subsequently reprinted by more than 30 party media including Global.com, China Daily, and Xinmin Evening News. The title was also very scary, saying "Breaking: British media claimed that research confirmed that the novel coronavirus was made by an American company".
The content of the article first claimed that the Russian army found a lot of evidence in Ukraine, which "can fully confirm that the 36 biological laboratories established by the United States in Ukraine are producing biological weapons."
Then the article changed the subject, saying that the British media Daily Mail disclosed that a virus research team found that the gene of covi that is currently causing the global epidemic actually contains the patent applied by the American company Moderna in February 2016. Gene fragment, and the probability of this sequence appearing in covi through natural evolution is only one in three trillion. So this is a big news that shocked the world, the new coronavirus is made in the United States and so on.
In this way, a patchwork We-media article was spearheaded by the party media, and instantly turned into a classic case of public opinion warfare denounced by the evil U.S. imperialists.

It took 19 days for the Chinese We-Media to notice this statement, and then from around 22 March 2022, the statement began to circulate on the Chinese Internet on a large scale.
The core information of the whole horror statement that "Moderna makes viruses" is actually the 19 nucleotides with the same sequence. So, can this result be used as evidence that the CCP virus is man-made?
I think this is a very funny thing.
First of all, furin enzyme cleavage sites are widely present in the biological world, and the 19 nucleotide sequences in CCP virus also exist in other organisms, such as some bacteria or fungi, which have been proved by relevant studies.
Second, Moderna's patented sequence is part of a gene called MSH3, which is used as a primer to build mRNA for tumor treatments. Although a small segment of the sequence is partially consistent with the furin enzyme cleavage site of the CCP virus spike protein, it is impossible to infer that Moderna made the virus. This logic is not valid, because other laboratories can also use bacterial sources. Furin cleaves the site to synthesize the sequences they need.
That is to say, this sequence can be found in many biological species in nature, as well as in Moderna's patent. This is public knowledge, not a unique secret skill of Moderna at all, and anyone can use it to do anything.
For example, there are diamonds in nature, Zhang San made a ring with diamonds, and Li Si made a bunch of earrings with diamonds. We cannot say that seeing the composition of the ring and the earrings are the same. We can conclude that Li Si has the same composition. The earrings are made by Zhang San. This is very ridiculous logic.
Therefore, the so-called British media reports hyped up by the party media are essentially nothing more than a conspiracy theory tabloid that fired first, then went to draw a target, and then announced loudly that our findings hit the target.
Third, the mainland science and technology self-media "Yin Ge Liao Gene" who works for BGI publicly confirmed that he made several comparisons to verify the statement that "this sequence is unique", and found that it only took a few seconds. There are 42 complete alignments, including not only a large number of prokaryotes, but also fungi, Gram-positive bacteria, and birds.
In fact, as early as 21 March, Bala Ambati, the chief scientist who presided over the study, told a reporter from China Daily in New York that they had made a very prominent point in the paper, This match may be by random chance. What they were interested in was not that the sequence came from Moderna at all but to see if human cells containing this mRNA could recombine with a SARS-like virus to create a furin cleavage site.
In general, this is just an opinion paper with a lax review. After being imagined by a third-rate tabloid editor who doesn’t know how to do it, it has become an out-and-out fake news that dozens of CCP media are competing to stir up. From the picture, there is a thick black smoke rising somewhere, like a fire. The smoke rose high, but did not spread, which should be a sign of a relatively large fire. Look at the video again, someone filmed it from a distance. Looking at the construction, it seems to be the Forbidden City area.
I immediately checked the relevant situation on the Internet, and there was only a little news by Hong Kong 01, which also contained pictures and videos. Because the second black box FDR is a flight data recorder, it will record various parameters such as the aircraft's altitude, speed, heading, roll angle, pitch angle, vertical speed and the control of the crew in real time.
