Covering up the covid epidemic and Ukraine war attempts, the CCP disrupts the world

The two sessions of the CCP were held. The CCP media website once again used bright red to decorate and sing praises. The CCP senior leadership led a large group of actors to continue to act according to the script. Russia's invasion of Ukraine has attracted worldwide attention. While world leaders have condemned and sanctioned them, the CCP leaders have remained silent so far, only sending CCP Foreign Minister Wang Yi to deal with it.

At the beginning of 2020, the CCP concealed the Wuhan epidemic situation and deliberately spread SARS-CoV-2, causing a major pandemic but it has continued to dump the blame since then on other countries. At the beginning of 2022, the CCP has repeatedly covered up the war attempts for Russia, actually supported Russia to go to war, and even after the outbreak of the war, it has always been reluctant to admit the occurrence of the war of aggression. It has also put the responsibility of the war on the United States and NATO, and provoked Russia to confront the United States and NATO. The epidemic in various countries has not yet passed, and the CCP once again fears that the world will not be in chaos. The lessons learned over the past two years are quite profound. The world should clearly see that the CCP is doing everything possible to bring chaos to the world.

News (2)

The CCP continues to stand on the opposite side of the world

After the Russian army invaded Ukraine, the United States communicated closely with Ukraine and major countries in the world, and successively announced a series of sanctions against Russia. On 4 March, the G7 foreign ministers issued a joint statement, reiterating their "deep condemnation of Russia's unreasonable choice to start a war against Ukraine", "Russia must immediately stop its sustained attacks on Ukraine", "immediately withdraw Russian troops"; those responsible for war crimes”; “reaffirm our support and commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and extending to its territorial waters”; “any claimed change of status will not be recognised."

After the major Western countries expressed their clear attitudes in a coordinated manner, on 5 March 2022, U.S. Secretary of State Blinken had a phone call with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The State Department's statement had only three sentences. 1. The two sides "conversed on Moscow's premeditated, unprovoked and unreasonable war against Ukraine". 2. "The Secretary of State noted that the world is watching which countries support the fundamental principles of freedom, self-determination and sovereignty." 3. "The world is making a concerted effort to resist and respond to Russian aggression, ensuring that Moscow will pay a high price."

The attitude and tone of these three sentences show that Blinken is not discussing with Wang Yi how to solve the Ukraine crisis, but more like warning the CCP authorities how to position himself in the world. The last sentence implies that if the CCP continues to help Russia, the world is likely to make concerted efforts to make the CCP pay the price.

On 1 March 2022, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kulebaton, who was in urgent need of outside help, had a phone call with Wang Yi, "looking forward to China's mediation for the realization of the ceasefire." However, Wang Yi once again said that "one country's security cannot be at the expense of another country's security", and actually rejected diplomatic mediation in disguise. After that, Wang Yi only spoke with the Iranian foreign minister, and never communicated with any other country. It can be seen that the CCP has absolutely no desire to quell the war. Seeing that all countries in the world are opposed to Russia’s provocation of war, the statement issued by the CCP has been inciting Russia to seek fishermen. For the benefit, CCP and Kremlin continue to call each other "good friends".

News (3)

The CCP has sinister intentions on the Ukraine issue

At the recent press conference of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, most reporters seemed to have given up asking the Chinese Communist Party’s position on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. At a time of major changes in the world situation, the leaders of the CCP remained silent, as if nothing had happened. The CCP media reported on the Russian-Ukrainian war, and they also tried one-sidedly to support Russia and at the same time belittle Ukraine.

Blinken should be very aware of the CCP's attitude, and the phone call with Wang Yi was more akin to an ultimatum-style warning. The CCP's statement completely omitted Blinken's words, saying only that "Blinken informed the U.S. view and position on the current situation in Ukraine." The CCP's statement also put Sino-US relations at the forefront and tried to continue to "draw a red line" on the Taiwan issue, but Blinken clearly did not intend to discuss Sino-US relations with Wang Yi.

On the Ukraine issue, Wang Yi still said that "China (CCP) always decides its position and policy based on the merits of the matter", and directly blamed "the negative impact of NATO's continuous eastward expansion on Russia's security environment."

Wang Yi not only did not condemn the war of aggression, but also put the responsibility of Russia's invasion of Ukraine on NATO. He even said that the United States, NATO, and the European Union should face up to "the contradictions and problems accumulated over the years" with Russia. Such a statement is not to cool the situation but to provoke a greater confrontation.

At this time, the top leaders of the CCP were sitting on the podium of the two sessions, probably thinking that they could watch the fire from the other side, and even tried to profit from the chaotic international situation. At least they felt that their pressure was relieved. However, Blinken's words should be immediately passed on to the top of the CCP, and the CCP may not be able to do so again.

CCP China's moves are intensifying confrontation

On 1 March 2022, 46th U.S. President Biden said in his State of the Union address to Congress, "When the history of this era is written, Putin's war on Ukraine will make Russia weaker and the rest of the world stronger."

The CCP probably feels that Russia’s provocation of war will weaken the power of the United States and Europe, and have no time to take care of the CCP, and may even force the United States and the West to compromise with the CCP. However, the CCP’s abacus has failed. Biden also said, "I told Xi Jinping that betting with the American people is never a good bet."

Biden once again made it clear that he would not intervene in the Ukraine war, which should be very disappointing to the CCP, which shows that the U.S. government is still ready to go all out to deal with the CCP in the Asia-Pacific. As soon as Biden's words fell, on 2 March, Michael Mullen, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff he assigned, led a delegation to visit Taiwan, including former Secretary of Defense for Policy Michèle Flournoy, former White House Meghan O'Sullivan, deputy national security adviser, Michael Green, former senior director of Asian affairs at the White House National Security Council, and Evan Medeiros, former senior director of Asian affairs at the White House National Security Council.

The United States did not intend to compromise with the CCP in the Western Pacific. The CCP attempted to fuel the Russian-Ukrainian war but made Western allies cooperate more closely. While Russia is isolated, the CCP continues to place itself on a position of isolation.

On 3 March 2022, the leaders of the United States, Japan, Australia, and India reached a summit and agreed that the Ukraine incident should not be allowed to happen in the Indo-Pacific region. Taiwan allegedly expressed its desire to join the "Quarter Mechanism" to the U.S. delegation. Once that came true, the CCP would be self-defeating.

From deliberately spreading the virus to provoking Russia to confront the West, the CCP has repeatedly tried to create chaos in the world, trying to fight for hegemony in the chaos.

Before the Russian war, Putin went to Beijing to attend the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, and issued a joint statement with the CCP "against NATO"; after the Russian war, the CCP continued to criticize NATO. The U.S. government should have seen clearly the real purpose of the CCP. Have other NATO countries also seen it clearly? Russia has no real strength to challenge NATO, and the CCP is the biggest threat. The CCP’s hostility towards NATO and its evil deeds that are troubling the world should also wake up more countries.

News (5)

CCP will not give up inciting Russia to confront NATO

The CCP will not easily give up inciting Russia to confront NATO. When NATO countries make Russia pay the price, they should weigh whether to make the CCP pay the price and hold the CCP responsible for the complicity. The CCP's concealment of the epidemic has led to a major global plague, and countries have suffered heavy losses, let alone let it go.

Facts have once again proved that as long as the CCP regime continues to exist, it will certainly harm the world. The CCP has been disrupting the world and provoking confrontation. Western countries cannot overcome CCP without confrontation. The sooner they wake up, the less they will be hurt.

The CCP refuses to mediate the Russian-Ukrainian war. Taiwan legislators: Friendship with the CCP is seeking skin with a tiger

Russia's invasion of Ukraine is still showing no signs of abating, and more and more civilians are dying in the war. Borrell, the EU’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, recently called on the CCP to mediate. The CCP authorities, which had promised to guarantee Ukraine’s security, shied away by “encouraging” Russia and Ukraine to negotiate directly. Some Taiwanese politicians said that friendship with the CCP is "seeking skin with a tiger".

News (7)

The CCP refuses to mediate the conflict between Russia and Ukraine

According to Agence France-Presse on 6 March 2022, Josep Borrell, the European Union’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, told Spanish media a few days ago, “Diplomacy cannot just be done by Europe or the Americans. China’s (CCP) diplomatic work is here. It can work.”

Borrell believes that now the EU and the United States cannot mediate the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and it is impossible to restore the Normandy model in which Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany resolve the Eastern Ukraine issue through talks. Therefore, he called for the CCP to mediate the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

In response, the Chinese Mission to the European Union responded that "China encourages direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, and also encourages the United States, NATO, the European Union and Russia to conduct equal dialogues."

Earlier, when the Chinese Foreign Minister and the Ukrainian Foreign Minister had a phone call on March 1, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba also said that he expected China to mediate for the realization of the ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. But the next day, when a TASS reporter asked whether China would take some specific measures, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin only said that China hopes that Russia and Ukraine will maintain dialogue and negotiation, and "seek a political solution that accommodates the legitimate security concerns of both sides. road".

In this regard, DPP legislator Wang Dingyu commented that the CCP's Liaoning and destroyer engines were provided with help from Ukraine, and the two countries also signed a friendship agreement, the main purpose of which is that the CCP will assist Ukraine in safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity but now it seems that it is not helping Ukraine at all.

Wang Dingyu further pointed out that there are many examples of the CCP government breaking the promise after signing the contract. This was the case in Xinjiang and Tibet in the past. From the example of Ukraine, it can be seen that thinking that friendship with China will ensure the safety of Taiwan is tantamount to "seeking skin with a tiger".

News (8)

The CCP has repeatedly promised to guarantee the security of Ukraine but it has secretly supported Russia in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict

In fact, before the collapse of the Soviet Union, Soviet aircraft carriers were built in Ukraine. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the CCP bought the half-built aircraft carrier Vagryan from Ukraine through an intermediary, and then hired Ukrainian engineers to complete the project on this basis. This is China's first aircraft carrier, the Liaoning.

In addition, because Russia refused to sell the Sukoi-33 aircraft carrier aircraft to the CCP, the CCP bought the Sukoi-33 prototype from Ukraine, and based on this, it imitated the People's Liberation Army (PLA) J-15. Therefore, outside comments believe that Ukraine has played the most important role in the modernization of the modern PLA navy.

In the past few decades, the Chinese authorities have signed many declarations and agreements with the Ukrainian government, including the 1992 Sino-Ukrainian Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations, the 1994 Sino-Ukrainian Joint Statement, and the "Sino-Ukrainian Friendship Agreement" signed in 2013. China has pledged to respect Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and will "provide appropriate security assurances to Ukraine" in the event that Ukraine is invaded or threatened by the use of nuclear weapons.

However, since the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Chinese government, which once signed an agreement with Ukraine to guarantee its security, not only failed to provide Ukraine with any substantive help, but also implicitly supported Russia. So far, the CCP still refuses to condemn Russia, and so far has not used the word "invasion" to characterize the move of Russian troops to enter Ukraine to start a war.

Ukraine once became a "nuclear power" because of the disintegration of the Soviet Union, and its nuclear arsenal at that time had surpassed that of the United Kingdom, France and China, and was second only to the United States and Russia. According to public information, when the Soviet Union disintegrated in the 1990s, Ukraine possessed 3,000 tactical nuclear weapons, 176 ICBMs and 1,500 nuclear warheads built in the Soviet Union, as well as TU-160 and TU-95 capable of carrying nuclear cruise missiles and nuclear weapons such as strategic bombers.

Due to the difficult economic situation in Ukraine at that time, the maintenance and management of nuclear weapons became a heavy burden, and there was a possibility of a major disaster of theft or even nuclear leakage. Under the persuasion of the United States and Russia and other countries, after weighing the pros and cons, Ukraine proposed a conditional abandonment of nuclear weapons. In exchange, the U.S. and Russia pledged to give Ukraine clear security assurances after it accedes to the NPT as a non-nuclear-weapon state. In December 1994, the CCP joined it, pledging not to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine and pledging to respect the integrity of Ukraine’s borders.

The leaders of the four countries declare that the Ukraine incident must not happen in the Indo-Pacific

Reporter : Luo Ya / Editor : Huang Yimei / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/03/06/a103366067.html

Japan, the United States, India and Australia held a video conference of the "Quartet Security Dialogue" to discuss "the war in Ukraine and its impact on the Indo-Pacific region." The leaders of the four countries agreed to commit to "the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the whole world, including in the Indo-Pacific region." Do not let what happened in Ukraine happen in the Indo-Pacific region.

The Japan-US-India-Australia "Quad Security Dialogue" (Quad) held a video conference on 3 March 2022. U.S. 46th President Biden, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Australian Prime Minister Morrison connected across the sea to discuss "Ukraine War and its impact on the Indo-Pacific region."

A joint statement issued after the video summit said the four leaders' meeting "reaffirmed their commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific region that respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations free from military, economic and political coercion."

In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told the media after the meeting that the leaders of the four countries agreed that "the Indo-Pacific region will never allow such an act of unilaterally changing the status quo through force."

Professor Li Dengke of the Department of Foreign Affairs of National Chengchi University said, "Securing Taiwan is equivalent to protecting Japan, the South China Sea, and the Philippines, which is the so-called first island chain. Such a declaration is very important and can help stabilize the situation in East Asia. China will not misjudge, this is the most important meaning."

Cai Xixun, director of the Japan Institute of Political Science and Economics at Tamkang University, Taiwan, said, "Because Japan will be worried, Taiwan will also be worried, that is, the so-called situation of Taiwan and Ukraine will be very similar. Because after Ukraine suffered a military attack by Russia, mainland China will not I will take this opportunity or use the same model to attack Taiwan in the future."

The international community is increasingly concerned about the Taiwan issue, and there are fears that the Chinese Communist Party will use the West's attention to take action against Taiwan when Russia invades Ukraine.

Cai Xixun said, "This time Russia's aggression is an attempt to unilaterally change the status quo through force, shaking a root of the international social order. Japan also recognizes a real sense of threat, so it repeatedly emphasizes freedom and openness. A realization in the Indo-Pacific."

"The Quartet must remain focused on the core objectives of promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific," the Indian government said.

After the meeting, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison urged the CCP not to learn the wrong lessons for the current war. He warned Beijing that it would face a heavy price if it violated the international order like Russia did.

Professor Li Dengke said, "The overall situation is actually not conducive to the CCP's use of force against Taiwan or other regions, including in the South China Sea and Southeast regions, so the strategic environment of the entire Central Asia should be more conducive to the United States at present. The lineup, or freedom and democracy, is relatively unfavorable to the CCP.”

Earlier, White House national security officials also said that despite the current Ukraine crisis, the United States will still maintain its focus on the Indo-Pacific region.

Professor Li Dengke said, "The war in Ukraine is in full swing now, but the United States has not said that it will send a large number of troops to Europe. The US aircraft carrier and important fleet are still in the Western Pacific, and the deployment of the important US air force has not changed. Go to Europe. So this also means that the United States is actually putting its main force in the Pacific region. The purpose of putting it in the Pacific region is, of course, to deter China's possible foreign expansion actions, especially actions against Taiwan."

The joint statement after the summit also mentioned that the leaders of the four countries agreed to hold face-to-face summit talks in Tokyo "in the coming months".

Zelenskyy: Russia will face trial for deliberately harming civilians

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered an impassioned video address to the people through Facebook on Sunday night. He warned that Russian troops who committed atrocities in Ukraine will face trial.

"We will not forgive. Thousands of deaths, thousands of people are suffering," Zelensky said. "And God will not forgive. Not today, not tomorrow, never ever. ."

He said, "We've heard promises that there will be humanitarian corridors but there are no humanitarian corridors. They can only create bloody corridors, not humanitarian corridors."

He said a family, including two children, was killed by Russian troops on Sunday in Irpin, a city about 22 km northwest of Kyiv, as they tried to leave the town.

"How many such families have died in Ukraine!? We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will punish all those who committed atrocities in this war." Zelensky promised.

In his speech, he thanked every Ukrainian who stayed to defend the city, and accused Russian forces of destroying Ukrainian houses and firing a large number of missiles "hitting our people and children."

"We will not condone an attack on the unarmed," Zelenskyy said. "There will be a Judgment Day. I am sure of that."

"We're going to find everyone who fires on our cities, our people, the bastards who bomb our lands and fire rockets," he said. "You won't have any peace on this earth. Except for the grave."

Russia has fired about 600 missiles so far, a senior U.S. defense official said, according to Reuters.

The United Nations said on Sunday that at least 364 civilians, including more than 20 children, had been killed in Ukraine since the February 24 invasion by Russian forces. In addition, hundreds of civilians were injured.

The UN human rights official said most of the civilian casualties were due to Russian "explosive shelling of a wide range of weapons, including heavy artillery and multiple rocket launchers, as well as missiles and air strikes."

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Sunday that he had seen reports of Russian abuse of force in Ukraine that could "constitute a war crime" and that the Biden-Harris administration was working to support an investigation.

The International Criminal Court said last week that it had launched an immediate and active investigation into possible war crimes by Russia following its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.

"We've seen very credible reports of deliberate attacks on civilians that would constitute war crimes. We've seen very credible reports of the use of certain weapons," Blinken told CNN. It refers to the Russian army's alleged use of cluster bombs in civilian areas.

Blinken said the Biden administration supports people, organizations and institutions in conducting relevant investigations into Russian military operations that may involve war crimes.

"We're looking at the reports. They're very credible, and we're documenting everything," Blinken said.

Moscow has repeatedly denied attacking civilian areas.

The invasion drew almost worldwide condemnation, sent more than 1.5 million Ukrainians fleeing the country and triggered sweeping Western sanctions against Russia. The Biden-Harris administration said on Sunday that it was exploring a ban on Russian oil imports.

U.S. lawmakers propose a thorough investigation into CCP China's support for Russia's invasion of Ukraine

The Russian-Ukrainian war continues. The CCP publicly stated that CCP China and Russia support each other on Monday (7 March 2022), which aroused the condemnation of members of both parties in the U.S. Congress and asked the State Department to thoroughly investigate how the CCP is in U.S. support the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

U.S. Representatives Young Kim (R-Calif.) and Elissa Slotkin (D-Michigan) proposed a bipartisan bill on the 7th that would require the State Department to submit a report detailing what is related to China Entities linked to the Communist Party (CCP) may have assisted or continue to assist the Kremlin in evading U.S. sanctions.

The 2022 Direct Investigation into China Action Against Russia Act, also known as the DICTATOR Act. Lawmakers asked the State Department to submit an unclassified report to the House and Senate Foreign Affairs Committees within 90 days of the bill's enactment.

The bill also requires the Biden administration to punish CCP-related entities that help the Russian Federation or Russian oligarchs evade U.S. and allied sanctions.

"While the United States, NATO allies and other countries have taken steps to hold Vladimir Putin accountable for the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and to support the Ukrainian people as they defend their freedom, (we) The CCP’s silence and obedience to the Russian government cannot be ignored.”

“The Dictator Act will ensure that the United States sends a clear message to China and the Chinese Communist Party that any effort to assist Russia in evading U.S. sanctions will not be tolerated and will come at a heavy price. As dictatorships seek to undermine and destroy around the world America must demonstrate leadership, unity, and strength when it comes to freedom and democracy."

"The way Russia has courted China in recent months is worrisome, and we need to make sure China doesn't help Putin and his cronies evade sanctions to support this," said Slotkin, another lawmaker who proposed the proposal. An appalling violent intrusion."

"The Dictator Act will ensure that the United States investigates whether Beijing is assisting Moscow and develops a clear strategy to prevent the Chinese government from helping Putin evade the consequences of invading Ukraine." She pointed out that when many countries and companies are boycotting Russia, Chinese officials said last week that they were not considering sanctions for Russia's invasion of Ukraine, but continued "normal trade cooperation."

"With Russia's unprovoked attack on Ukraine, we need to continue to work with our allies and partners to economically punish and isolate the Putin regime through sanctions and property seizures, and make those punishments stick," she said.

On Monday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi publicly expressed the two countries' mutual support, saying, "No matter how dangerous the international situation is, China and Russia will maintain their strategic resolve and continuously push forward the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the new era."

Analysis of Russian agents: Russia has "no chance of winning" in Ukraine's aggression

Reporter : Chen Beichen / Editor : Xu Gengwen / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/03/07/a103366948.html / Image : On 26 February 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky released a new video on Twitter, saying that he will not lay down his arms and will defend the country. (Screenshot of Zelensky's Twitter video)

Since the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the number of casualties on both sides has continued to rise. An analysis written by an agent of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said the death toll of Russian servicemen had exceeded 10,000, a far cry from the "498" deaths previously reported by the Defense Ministry.

The report analyzed that Russia's Ukrainian aggression had "no chance" or ended in "complete failure", comparable to the collapse of the German Nazis, even if Putin's forces were able to capture or kill Ukrainian President Zelensky, occupying Ukraine still needs Russia to carry too much load.

The report compared Russia's mistakes to those of Germany in World War II, and said Moscow's "starting position" was similar to "Germany in 1943-44." The Allies were also dissatisfied with it.

The report said that the leader of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, was angry with Moscow after the "kill cell" sent to assassinate the Ukrainian president was destroyed by the Ukrainian army. Russia's continuous encounter with stubborn resistance from Ukraine also surprised many people in Moscow, including President Putin, and the Russian army is increasingly in a state of no chance of victory.

If Zelenskyy were killed, "We would need more than 500,000 people in the face of minimal Ukrainian resistance, not including logistics workers."

“Based on the experience of military conflicts in Europe in recent decades (Serbia is the largest testing ground here), cities can be besieged for years and still operate.” In addition, European humanitarian convoys will soon arrive there to provide assistance.

The report said the number of Russians killed in Ukraine may have exceeded 10,000, a figure similar to that reported by officials in Kyiv but far more than the 498 officially acknowledged by the Kremlin. The Russian government has lost contact with some troops sent to Ukraine, meaning they do not have an accurate death toll, the report said.

The report also analyzed the possibility of Putin launching a nuclear weapon against the West and said Russia's foreign intelligence agency, SVR, was working to find evidence that Ukraine was building nuclear weapons to justify a pre-emptive strike.

The report said the "provisional deadline" for the successful occupation of Ukraine by Russian forces was June, when resources were expected to be exhausted.

In addition, Russia may issue an ultimatum to Europe and the United States, if the severe sanctions against Russia are not lifted, it will lead to war. If the West rejects this, "in this case, I do not rule out that we will be drawn into a real international conflict, like Hitler in 1939."

Vladimir Osechkin, a Russian human rights activist and operator of the anti-corruption website Gulagu.net, published the report on Facebook on Friday (4 March). The report content exceeds 2000 words. (Click here to watch the post)

Christo Grozev, a Russian security expert at investigative news group Bellingcat, said he had shown the report to two current and former FSB personnel, who told him, "There is no doubt that This was written by a colleague."

Grozev tweeted that while his contacts did not necessarily agree with all the assertions in the report, they were sure it came from the FSB.

A source told the Daily Mail that Russia's FSB has been blamed by Moscow authorities for the force's failure to make significant progress in Ukraine. FSB officials have been ordered to assess the impact of Western sanctions on Russia, the whistleblower said.

International court in The Hague opens, Ukraine sues Russia, defendant absent

Reporter : Li Ming / Editor: Xu Gengwen / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/03/07/a103367092.htmlImage : On 7 March 2022, the first hearing in the case of Ukraine against the Russian Federation was held at the Peace Palace of the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands, presided over by Judge Joan Donoghue. (Frank van Beek/ICJ via Getty Images)

The trial of the International Court of Justice in The Hague on the Russian-Ukrainian war has begun. The Ukrainian side refuted Russia's reason for launching the war, accused Russia of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, and demanded that Russia immediately stop its invasion of Ukraine. A few days ago, Ukraine has appeared in court to present the case, while the Russian side refused to assign a lawyer to appear in court.

A court hearing has begun in the case of the Ukrainian government's emergency appeal to the International Court of Justice in the Dutch capital, Hague, following the armed Russian invasion of Ukraine. According to the trial procedure, the hearing on Monday (March 7) is the time for Ukraine's presentation, and the Russian side should appear in court the next day.

The Russian side did not send a lawyer to the court on Monday, DW reported. Judge Joan Donoghue, who presides over the case, said the Russian ambassador to the Netherlands, Alexander Schulgin, had informed the court that the Russian government had no intention of participating in the trial. Donoghue regretted Russia's decision.

In this regard, the lawyer representing the Ukrainian side, Anton Korynewytsch, strongly condemned it. "The Russian side's absence speaks for itself. They refuse to appear in court because they are carrying out a savage aggression and slaughter against my country," he said.

The Ukrainian side said that Russia launched a war against Ukraine on the grounds that genocide is taking place in the eastern part of the divided region of the Klan, but "all this is completely fabricated out of thin air." "This is a sensational lie created by Putin," Kuriniyevich said.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian government has in turn accused Russia of planning genocide in Ukraine and of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity. The Ukrainian government called on the Hague court to issue a ruling as soon as possible and let Russia immediately stop military operations. "Russia's actions must be stopped," Kulinievic stressed.

The outside world is expected to make a ruling within a few days in order to prevent the situation in Ukraine from deteriorating. Given that the International Court of Justice lacks the means to enforce the ruling, it is expected that Russia will not obey the ruling, but the relevant ruling can exert diplomatic pressure on Russia.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague said it had found "reasonable grounds" to suspect Russia of war crimes and crimes against humanity since Russia occupied the Crimea peninsula in a 2014 survey.

Wang Yi mentioned China-Russia strategic cooperation again. Cai Xia: CCP China and Russia have formed an axis of evil

Reporter : Jing Zhongming / Editor: Xu Gengwen / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/03/07/a103367098.html

When Russia invaded Ukraine, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi once again emphasized "deepening China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination". Cai Xia, a former professor at the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, pointed out that China and Russia have become the new Axis of Evil.

On 7 March 2022, the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China reported that Foreign Minister Wang Yi, when talking about Sino-Russian relations at the press conference of the "two sessions" of the Communist Party of China, declared that not long ago, China and Russia jointly issued the "Remarks on International Relations and Global Sustainable Development in the New Era". The Joint Statement has clearly stated its position to the world.

Wang Yi said, "No matter how sinister the international situation is, China (CCP) and Russia will maintain their strategic steadfastness and continuously push forward the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the new era."

This is when Russia faces global condemnation and sanctions, and the Chinese Communist Party has once again made it clear that it supports Russia.

In this regard, Cai Xia, who lives in the United States, commented on Twitter that the February 4 Sino-Russian "Joint Statement" was "publicly announcing the formation of the Axis of Evil". Immediately after Russia launched a war of aggression, the CCP openly or secretly helped Russia fight against protests and sanctions around the world. Now, Wang Yi's remarks are tantamount to announcing that these two axes of evil will work together to "make enemies of people all over the world."

Earlier, Cai Xia also tweeted, "China (CCP) has in fact formed an axis of evil with the Putin regime, which is what they need to fight against the liberal democratic world and maintain their ruling power. The liberal and democratic world should no longer have any illusion of co-existence."

On 4 February 2022, after Xi Jinping and Putin met in Beijing, the two sides issued a "joint statement", reiterating that Sino-Russian cooperation "has no upper limit". On 21 February, the day after the Beijing Winter Olympics ended, Russia launched a military operation against Ukraine. The New York Times quoted sources as saying that Beijing had asked Russia not to invade Ukraine during the Winter Olympics.

Times commentators analyzed that Russia's invasion of Ukraine has important reference value for the CCP's "army control of Taiwan".

Through the secret airport, many countries are quickly sending weapons to Ukraine

According to media sources, the United States and other NATO members have so far sent 17,000 anti-tank missiles and 2,000 Stinger anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine. Where did these weapons enter Ukraine as Russia continued to invade?

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, visited a secret airport near the Ukrainian border last week, a senior U.S. Defense Department official told CNN on Friday. The airport has become a hub for the transport of weapons. He has seen firsthand how countries have accelerated the supply of arms to Ukraine amid unprovoked Russian aggression.

The airport has become an active hive in recent days, from a handful of flights a day to as many as 17, the airport's maximum capacity.

The location of the airfield, which remains a secret, allows weapons to be shipped to Ukraine, including anti-armor missiles. The official said that after the goods entered Ukraine, they have not yet been targeted by the Russian military.

So far, the United States and other NATO members have shipped 17,000 anti-tank missiles and 2,000 Stinger anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine, a senior U.S. official told CNN.

A second Defense Department official said 14 countries had provided security assistance to Ukraine since the Russian invasion began, some of which had rarely provided equipment in such large quantities before.

In early March, Germany responded to the conflict by promising to increase military spending and, contrary to its long-proclaimed policy, Berlin authorized the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

The official said U.S. European Command (EUCOM) was at the heart of the massive transport operation. The ministry uses its network of contacts with allies and partners to coordinate deliveries to Ukraine "in real time".

European Command is also coordinating the delivery process with other countries, including the United Kingdom, "to ensure that we use our resources with maximum efficiency and support the Ukrainians in an organized manner."

Just a week after the White House officially approved a $350 million U.S. security aid package, about $240 million has arrived in Ukraine, and the rest should arrive in days or weeks, according to the official. The supplies are in addition to about $200 million in military aid to Ukraine approved by the United States in late December.

U.S. emergency security assistance to Ukraine totals $1 billion. Components already delivered include "the most in-demand capabilities, such as anti-armor capabilities."

For days, the huge Russian military convoy spanning 40 miles north of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv has barely moved.

"I think all of us were impressed by how effectively the Ukrainian armed forces used the equipment we gave them," the official said.

"We know that they carried out attacks on the convoy, and those attacks effectively slowed and stopped it." Another senior defense official said the same day that the Ukrainians could "skillfully use" the vast majority of the military equipment that was sent in because the Ukraine side has received relevant training in a "timely" manner.

Ukraine's president has warned the West that Vladimir Putin will not stop once he has conquered Ukraine, telling a U.S. television channel, 'We will come first. You will come second. Because the more this beast will eat, he wants more, more, and more."

Volodymyr Zelensky, 44, described Ukraine as a 'zone of freedom' that needed to be preserved.

"And when the limits of rights and freedoms are being violated and stepped on, then you have to protect us," he said.

He added, 'Today, war is here. Tomorrow, it will be in Lithuania, then in Poland, then in Germany.

"This is serious.

"United States is far away, but in recent days, I do feel that United States are closer to us."

Zelenskky remains safe

The former actor, whose wartime leadership has impressed the world, on Monday emerged from his bunker in Kyiv and returned to the presidential palace, declaring, "I am here, I am not hiding, and I am not afraid of anyone."

He gave his Facebook audience a tour of the palace, joking, "We used to say Monday, Monday is a hard day. But it is war in our country, so every day is a hard day."

Zelensky told the embattled country, on day 12 of the Russian invasion, "We are all in our places working, where we should be. My team is in Kyiv with me.

"We are all fighting, we are all contributing to our victory which will surely happen."

Zelenskskyy appeals to the U.S. to enforce no-fly zone despite risk of nuclear war

And, in an interview from the palace with ABC News, Zelensky once again appealed to the United States to enforce a no-fly zone. He spoke to Joe Biden on Saturday night for 40 minutes, and pressed the issue with the U.S. leader.

Over the weekend, Biden and his aides were debating the possibility of helping Ukraine with better fighter jets.

Under Biden's scheme, Poland would give Ukraine its MIG fighter jets, which Ukrainian pilots are trained to fly.

In return, the U.S. would replace the Soviet-era planes with modern F-16 American fighter jets.

Antony Blinken, the Secretary of State, said on Sunday that the 'green light' had been given to the plan.

Poland, however, quickly said that they had not agreed any plan.

Poland's president, Andrzej Duda, has repeatedly voiced concern about the proposal, believing it would drag his country into open conflict with Russia.

Russia on Sunday said that they would consider air support - such as allowing Ukrainian planes to use bases in neighboring Romania or Poland - an effective entering of the conflict.

Zelenskyy: The decision lies with the U.S.

Zelensky on Monday said that the plan had indeed been discussed, but the decision lay largely with the U.S.

"We asked not only the United States, we asked many other countries - I'm not going to name them," he said.

"We looked into this question. We know where these Soviet planes are stationed, which countries host them. And we asked these countries.

"And in many ways, it is the United States who will decide."

The father-of-two was asked how long Ukraine can hold out against the Russian onslaught, which began on 24 February 2022.

Zelenskyy: Though Ukrainian cities are unrecognizable now, Ukrainians' resolve remains strong

He admitted that Kyiv was unrecognizable after the Russian bombardment.

The cities of Kharkiv and Mariupol have come under heavy shelling, with Odessa's noted opera house now surrounded by fortifications ahead of an expected amphibious attack.

Towns surrounding Kyiv - among them Irpin, Zhytomyr and Cherniahiv - have been subjected to intense bombardment.

Yet Zelensky said that his country's resolve remained strong.

"I'm sure the Ukrainians are prepared to stand against Russia for their entire lives," he told Muir.

"Even the cities that were occupied by Russian military, they have seen the response and feedback from ordinary people.

"These ordinary people didn't have machine guns. This courage is something that is unprecedented.

"And Russian soldiers don't even have that courage.

"The problem is that for one soldier of Ukraine, we have ten Russian soldiers.

"And for one Ukrainian tank, we have 50 Russian tanks.

"But we are destroying them.

"And this difference is - the gap is closing.

"But the question is how long can we withstand?

"Many things depend not just on us. We will endure.

"And even if they come into all our cities, there will be insurgency, insurgent war.

"And no one will give away our independence."

The United Nations has recorded at least 1,120 civilian casualties so far across Ukraine, with 364 killed and 769 injured, including scores of children. The real toll is likely to be significantly higher.

Horrifying video, shared widely on social media and broadcast on repeat on U.S. cable news, showed civilians being killed as they fled the Russian missiles.

Blinken said on Sunday he had seen evidence to suggest that war crimes had been carried out.

Yet Zelensky, asked whether he thought Putin was deliberately targeting civilians, replied, 'Why would I care? The result is the same.

"eople are dying. The bombardment of the schools and kindergartens, the universities, the dormitory, the bombardment of a nuclear power plant without even thinking that Europe may disappear if it really hits the unit.

"Every minute, every hour, every day the same things are happening. People are dying."

Russian troops suffer heavy losses, Putin's men killed children on buses along "humanitarian corridors" with laid mines

Image : Web Screenshot (Parliament of Ukraine)

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has "slowly significantly" as "'demoralised" troops suffer heavy losses, Kyiv's commanders have claimed, forcing Putin's men to resort to indiscriminate attacks on civilians which killed and wounded a number of children overnight.

Dmytro Zhyvytsky, who heads up the military administration in the besieged eastern city of Sumy, said airstrikes that struck civilian areas shortly after 11 pm killed 18 people including two children and wounded others - with Ukraine's parliament publishing a photo of a bloodied infant they said was injured in the attack.

The image emerged as Russia said it will again open up 'humanitarian corridors' to allow civilians to flee bombarded cities including Sumy - but the offer has already been dismissed by Kyiv, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accusing Moscow of "cynicism", saying its troops have laid mines across the routes and blown up buses intended to be used as transports.

"'There was an agreement on humanitarian corridors. Did that work? Russian tanks worked in its place, Russian Grads (multiple rocket launchers), Russian mines," Zelenskyy said in a video posted on Telegram. "They ensure that a small corridor to the occupied territory is open for a few dozen people. Not so much towards Russia as towards the propagandists, directly towards the television cameras."

At least 406 civilians died in the war

At least 406 civilians have died since the start of Russia's assault on its ex-Soviet neighbour, according to the UN, although it believes the real figures to be "considerably higher".

Ukrainian forces said Tuesday they had repulsed a Russian attack on Izium city in the Kharkiv region, and outgunned troops have been trying to hold back a Russian push up from the east and south in an attempt to encircle Kyiv.

Russian forces "suffered losses and retreated" in Izium after they 'reigned terror in the city by bombing civilian premises and infrastructure,' the military said.

AFP journalists witnessed thousands of civilians on Monday fleeing fighting via an unofficial escape route from Irpin, a suburb west of Kyiv, towards the capital.

Children and the elderly were carried on carpets used as stretchers on the route, which leads over the makeshift bridge and along a single path secured by the army and volunteers.

Desperate people abandoned pushchairs and heavy suitcases to cram on buses out of the war zone.

"We had no light at home, no water, we just sat in the basement," Inna Scherbanyova, 54, an economist from Irpin, told AFP.

NATO countries have so far rebuffed Kyiv's demand for a no-fly zone, fearing a widening war against nuclear-armed Russia.

UK and U.S. ban on Russian oil and more than 10,000 anti-war protesters arrested in Russia

The leaders of Germany, Britain and the Netherlands warned on 7 March 2022 against a ban on Russian oil, saying it could put Europe's energy security at risk. However on 8 March 2022, the UK has decided to impose gradual ban on both Russian oil imports by year end and an immediate ban on Russian aircraft movements in UK airspace.

In addition, the White House has announced a ban on Russian energy imports on 8 March 2022.

President Joe Biden has decided to stop purchasing oil and natural gas from Moscow as prices at the pump skyrocket in the U.S.

His administration has been under pressure by Democrats and Republicans to act since late last month when Russia's authoritarian leader Vladimir Putin ordered an unprovoked and bloody invasion of Ukraine.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak warned any oil ban would have "catastrophic consequences" on prices that have already headed towards a 2008 record high.

Putin has equated sanctions with a declaration of war and put nuclear forces on alert, pledging the "neutralisation" of Ukraine "either through negotiation or through war".

Despite harsh punishments for those voicing dissent, protests in Russia against the Ukraine invasion have continued, with more than 10,000 people arrested since it began.

Rallies across Japan condemning the war, the people call for vigilance against CCP China and North Korea

Image : Video Screenshot

Since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war, anti-war rallies and parades have continued throughout Japan. Japanese people held rallies in multiple cities at the same time, condemning Russia's flagrant war and calling for vigilance against CCP China and North Korea.

In front of the Russian Consulate in Sapporo, Japan, Nagoya, the bustling district of Niigata, and Tokyo, protest rallies and marches against Russia's invasion of Ukraine were held.

In the afternoon of March 6, in front of Shinjuku Station in Tokyo, people held display boards such as "No War", "Stop the War", and "Stop the aggression against Ukraine", and chanted slogans such as "Stop the war, withdraw from Ukraine" and other slogans.

A Japanese said, "I feel very angry about Russia's blatant aggression in Ukraine. I have always worried about the safety of the Ukrainian people. The Russian people who have been subjected to economic sanctions are also innocent."

About 70 "volunteer soldiers" from the Japanese people want to go to Ukraine to fight against Russia. The government blocked this civil action.

The Japanese said, "I personally hope that the volunteer soldiers will pass, but (if the government allows it), the law will not be able to, and I regret it."

He added, "Ukraine calls on foreign volunteers to join the war in Ukraine. I think it is a matter of course. It is not a bad thing for the Japanese to respond."

China has condemned Western sanctions against Russia, and North Korea has continuously launched missiles into the Sea of Japan. The Japanese people think that North Korea is just bluffing and the real threat is the CCP.

A Japanese said, "The CCP is observing the reaction of Western countries through the Russian-Ukrainian war, and may be planning to attack Taiwan by force. The CCP is a powerful threat."

Japanese people: "I don't want Xi Jinping to make the same aggressive behavior as Putin. If he does launch a war (against Taiwan), it will bring a devastating blow to himself. I hope he makes it clear."

In response to the CCP's attempt to attack Taiwan by force, Japan must deal with the CCP with awe. The Japanese people believe that the CCP will continue to operate secretly, and call on the government to always be vigilant and pay attention to their movements.

Nazism of Ukraine? Russia slapped by German embassy
Image : Nazism of Ukraine? German embassy slapped in the face; Putin's "brain" ruined him? (Provided by "Qin Peng Live")
Russia invaded Ukraine and gave four reasons successively, claiming to demilitarize and de-Nazify Ukraine. However, nothing seems to be established now. The German embassy even made fun of the Russian side, "We are the "Nazi" experts!"
Is the real reason for the Russian invasion is Putin's version of the "great national rejuvenation"? Recently, "Putin's brain", Russian expert Dukin surfaced. It was he who put forward the views of neo-Eurasianism, Ukraine's non-existence, etc. However, two articles by Professor Sun Liping of Tsinghua University directly debunked his theory as a "big strategy" that was enough to destroy the ruined rich man in Russia.
News (41)
To "Nazify" the invasion? German Embassy: We are the "Nazi" experts!
Nazism of Ukraine ?
Putin claimed that the invasion of Russia was to completely "denazify" Ukraine. A few days ago, the Russian embassy in South Africa also cooperated with a "big foreign propaganda", alleging that the Russian army sent troops to Ukraine to fight against the Nazis.
On 5 March 2022, the Russian embassy in South Africa tweeted that they had received a large amount of solidarity from South Africans, both organizations and individuals, saying, "We thank you for your support and are glad that you have decided to stand with us today. Together, just like 80 years ago, Russia is 'fighting the Nazis' in Ukraine"!
Unexpectedly, the German embassy in South Africa responded to the tweet on the same day, completely disrespecting and directly slapped in the face, "I'm sorry, but we can't keep silent about this, this is too extreme", and also said: "On Russia's efforts in Ukraine, all that is done is the killing of innocent children, women and men for self-interest."
The German embassy stressed that "this is definitely not 'fighting Nazism'". Anyone who believes this statement should be ashamed. It said, "Unfortunately, we are experts in Nazism."
Earlier, on 2 March 2022, several international organizations representing victims of former Nazi concentration camps signed an appeal condemning Russia's uses of the term "denazification" and "genocide" to justify attacks on Ukraine. The statement called for an immediate end to Russia's ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine.
Donbas genocide? The UN report shows that's not the case at all.
"Russia is not starting a war, it is ending it," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote in a recent Facebook post.
Vladimir Putin made a similar argument at the start of the Russian attack, when he mistakenly dismissed the Russian offensive as an act of self-defense in line with Article 51 of the UN Charter. Zakharova also claimed that Ukraine plans to "systematically wipe out the population of Donbas".
On 7 March 2022, at the UN's highest judicial body, the International Court of Justice in The Hague, the Netherlands, Ukraine's representative also rejected Russia's claims of a genocide in eastern Ukraine as a "ridiculous lie" and called for urgent measures to stop Russian aggression.
So what is the truth? On 3 March, Deutsche Welle examined Russia's reasoning and found it to be a false pretext. It checked on the basis of an earlier UN Human Rights Council report.
At least 13,000 people have been killed in wars in eastern Ukraine since 2014, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in her FaceBook. She also claimed "the systematic extermination of the Donbas population". However, there is no evidence that a "systematic extermination" of civilians is taking place.
As of early 2020, as many as 13,200 people have been killed in the conflict, according to a report by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights between 16 November  2019, and 15 February2020. Of those, 3,350 were civilians and 5,650 were insurgents, according to the United Nations. It said 4,100 of those killed were Ukrainian soldiers.
Furthermore, the OSCE monitoring mission active in Ukraine since 2014 has found no evidence of mass targeted killings of civilians in the Donbas region. So far, the Russian Foreign Ministry has provided no evidence to support its claims that the people of eastern Ukraine are subject to "systematic extermination."

Russia boasts destruction of laboratories, claims the U.S. engaged in bioweapon development in Ukraine
The claim was spread on social media, with a Facebook post showing a map of Ukraine with what the poster claimed was "the US's exclusive US biological laboratory in Ukraine," funded by the U.S. Department of Defense .
"By now, I think most people know about Ukraine/World War 3." The post accumulated more than 400 interactions in a day. "So what do we know about this??"
Similar posts claim Russia destroyed seven of the 11 putative laboratories in missile strikes.
In addition, similar claims have been widely circulated on Chinese social media.
However, these claims are false, according to an independent fact-checker.
The nonprofit media company Coda reported in 2018 that the claim was part of a broader disinformation campaign by the Kremlin to discredit the United States in the eyes of Russia's pro-Western neighbors Ukraine and Georgia.
In addition, it was noted that when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Russia cooperated with China to further amplify the false claims of U.S. laboratories in Ukraine. The aim, according to an April 2021 report by The Daily Beast, is to question whether SARS-CoV-2 originated in one of the so-called "US-controlled" labs.

Putin claims Ukraine has been Russian territory since ancient times but history states otherwise
After Russia's actions in eastern Ukraine, Putin made a speech claiming that Ukraine has been Russian territory since ancient times, which is considered to be Putin's search for a historical basis for the next action plan.
"I'll start by saying that modern Ukraine was created entirely by Russia, or more precisely, by the Russian Bolsheviks."
However, this is not historical.
As early as 822 AD, the first Russian nation-state Kievan Rus was established in Kyiv, Ukraine, known as the "City of Emperors" on the Dnieper River, also known as the "Mother of Russian Cities".
In this way, Kievan Rus is the earliest East Slavic state and is considered to be the predecessor of the three modern East Slavic nation states (Russia, Ukraine and Belarus). Kyiv has a history of more than 1,500 years.
In contrast, Moscow, the capital of Russia, has a much shorter history. In 1147, Moscow was built along the Moskva River. From the time of the Grand Duke of Moscow, it has been the capital of the country from Russia to the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation. It has a history of more than 800 years and is a world-famous ancient city.
In addition, the Kenyan ambassador to the United Nations said a paragraph when discussing the Ukraine incident: Almost all African countries' borders are demarcated by outsiders. Among them, there are many problems. But since these borders are delineated in accordance with international law, if we try to change them, there will be rivers of blood. We choose to pursue greatness that many of our nations and peoples have never been, and we choose to abide by the provisions of the Organization of African Unity and the United Nations Charter, not because our borders satisfy us, but because we want to forge greater in peace thing.

Of course, over the weekend, we saw that Putin changed his story again, saying that Ukraine was developing nuclear weapons that could pose a threat to Russia. This is a story reminiscent of the wolf and the lamb.
This "Aesop's Fables" story, which I think everyone has read, is about a wolf and a lamb who happened to be drinking by a small stream at the same time. The wolf was looking for various excuses to eat the lamb. The story is about a bad guy like the wolf, and whatever you say to him is for nothing.

Is he Putin's brain? Tsinghua professor Sun Liping: Destroying "heroes and talents"
Since none of these reasons are valid, why does Russia want to fully invade Ukraine this time? Superficially and directly, this has to do with U.S. and Western policy, but deep down, it comes from Putin's dream of a Great Russian Empire.
We know that the major international strategy during the Trump administration era was to unite with Russia and resist the Communist Party, meaning the U.S. under Trump's control was trying to de-escalate relations with Russia while focusing on fighting CCP China. Besides, Putin is also very interesting, everyone may remember this story:
In 2019, the last day of Xi Jinping's visit to Russia. On the same day, when Putin accepted a question from a host at an investment forum held in St. Petersburg, "Who does Russia support in the Sino-U.S. trade war?" He smiled and said: "When two tigers are fighting, a smart monkey sits aside and sees who wins." As soon as Putin said this, the Russian officials and guests in the audience burst into laughter. The video was cropped and added in Chinese, and it went viral on Twitter at the time.
However, after Biden took office, he proposed that the United States must compete with a rising China, while containing Russia as a disruptor. In other words, the strategy under Trump has been changed to focus on confronting Russia.
Of course, this is one reason. In addition, NATO has continued to expand eastward over the years. After Russia abandoned communism, the three-term presidents Gorbachev, Yeltsin, and even the strongman Vladimir Putin once lowered their stature three times, asking to join NATO in 2001, 2004 and 2008 but they were rejected.
However, this does not explain why Putin wants to invade Ukraine in full. He said that Ukraine has been Russian territory since ancient times and Russia is trying to annex Ukraine.
What is the truth? At a deeper level, it is because Putin believes in Great Russianism and Neo-Eurasianism, which is his version of national rejuvenation. The mastermind behind this doctrine is the Russian scholar Alexander Dukin. Some people say that it is difficult to understand the current Ukrainian war without understanding Dukin's thinking.
Some people say that Dukin is Putin's brain, and Putin is Dukin's body. The famous American conservative website and right-wing website "Breitbart News" (formerly in charge of Trump's chief strategic adviser Bannon) likened him to the "demon monk" Rasputin who influenced the Russian monarch Nicholas II. , is the most dangerous person in the world today.

Dukin proposed a so-called fourth political theory for the revival of Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union: Neo-Eurasianism
In Dukin's view, liberalism is full of drawbacks and is heading for decline. Fascism and communism are already a thing of the past. His Neo-Eurasianism is the future of mankind, and the carrier of Neo-Eurasianism is Russia.
Dukin divides the world into four civilizational regions: America-Latin America, Africa-Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Eurasia. On this basis, with Russia as the axis, a Eurasian alliance system will be constructed. It is a coalition rivaling US-UK maritime liberalism.
In this system, the three East Slavic countries are the core of the axis. Therefore, Ukraine, one of the three East Slavic countries, must be part of Russia. This is the rationale that Russia must send troops and control Ukraine.
In December last year, Dukin directly asked in a column on the Observer Network: Does Ukraine really exist in history? He gave a whole bunch of reasons why Ukraine did not exist. You can recall again, Putin's speech after the invasion of Ukraine.
He believes that Russia has made a mistake: it recognizes the new Ukrainian government and hopes to establish peace with Kyiv. However, the Normandy model and the Minsk agreement, which are really just about de-escalating the situation, do not solve anything in the long run, or even in the medium term.
So where is the way out for Ukraine? There can only be one solution to this situation, he said: split Ukraine into two parts, recognizing two political sovereignty - Western Right Bank Ukraine and Novorossiya - while retaining a special status for Kyiv. This will happen sooner or later.
Putin also made it clear that Russia's annexation and division of Ukraine in this way, "this is not an attack from one country to another, but a process of great geopolitics. When Moscow is weak and allows idiots or direct proxies of Western powers Russia lost Ukraine when it ruled, leaving Ukraine in the hands of ultra-nationalist politicians who were immediately chosen by the West. The Ukraine issue surfaced when Putin began to restore Russia's sovereignty and power as a great power. Zbigniew Zbigniew Brzezinski firmly believed that without Ukraine, Russia could not have become the sovereign pole of a multipolar world. "
Professor Sun Liping's article on 6 March  believes that Putin'ss ideological theory is magnificent, and has widely absorbed fragmented ideological achievements in human history, including postmodernism.
However, in reality, Russia is both too big and too small. Russia has the largest territory in the world, with a population of 140 million, and is born out of a historical empire, which makes it difficult to integrate into an existing alliance. But at the same time, its economy is too small to support its ambition to become a world-class power or even greater.
He drew an analogy. In a village, there used to be a big family, but later it declined and became a small family. At this time, how difficult and important it is to relocate psychologically. "If you are wiser and live your life peacefully according to the current situation, this life is not impossible. The fear is that at this time, there will be a brilliant strategist in the family, desperate to restore or even surpass the glory of the ancestors.  If so, the results can be imagined."
Sun Liping said that Du Jin's thought is a kind of heroic and brilliant strategy that can completely destroy a dilapidated people.

Putin's annexation of Ukraine is an outdated imperial territorial obsession
In addition, Sun Liping added an article on 7 March, saying that Dukin's theory is to imply that Putin's annexation of Ukraine is an outdated imperial territorial obsession.
He said it took the Russian Empire about 300 years to expand its territory to 22.8 million square km. Why are empires so obsessed with territorial expansion? For, in the age of agriculture or animal husbandry, territory meant wealth, territory meant security, and territory meant glory. Like the Manchu and Han banquets, which symbolize abundance, the vast territory means volume and strength. However, this is a thing of the past, present Generations have changed.
Yes, to this day, we all know that in fact, many developed countries are small in territory, densely populated, and very scarce in resources, such as Japan and South Korea. However, their technology is very advanced.
So, the question is, what if Putin's attention to Russia's national rejuvenation focuses on institutional reform, innovation and market development?
However, what we have seen is that Russia still mainly relies on energy and military industry as the main driving force for economic development. We can look at two sets of data here, and you can decide:
In 2019, Russia's R&D investment intensity was only 1.1%, ranking 34th in the world, lower than Israel's 4.25%, South Korea's 4.24%, Switzerland's 3.37% and Sweden's 3.25%. In the same year, the per capita R&D investment of Russian researchers was only US$93,000, ranking 47th in the world. Switzerland topped the list with $406,700, followed by the United States and China.
In terms of investment entities in scientific and technological research and development, in 2019, 66.3% of Russia's R&D investment came from the state, and the proportion of enterprise R&D investment was only 30.2%. Among the top 10 countries in R&D investment, Russia's national participation scale is comparable to that of India.
Therefore, the decline of Russia and the war in Ukraine, of course, there are many external factors, but as Russia itself, does it really need to review itself?
