The trial of the International Court of Justice in The Hague on the Russian-Ukrainian war has begun. The Ukrainian side refuted Russia's reason for launching the war, accused Russia of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, and demanded that Russia immediately stop its invasion of Ukraine. A few days ago, Ukraine has appeared in court to present the case, while the Russian side refused to assign a lawyer to appear in court.
A court hearing has begun in the case of the Ukrainian government's emergency appeal to the International Court of Justice in the Dutch capital, Hague, following the armed Russian invasion of Ukraine. According to the trial procedure, the hearing on Monday (March 7) is the time for Ukraine's presentation, and the Russian side should appear in court the next day.
The Russian side did not send a lawyer to the court on Monday, DW reported. Judge Joan Donoghue, who presides over the case, said the Russian ambassador to the Netherlands, Alexander Schulgin, had informed the court that the Russian government had no intention of participating in the trial. Donoghue regretted Russia's decision.
In this regard, the lawyer representing the Ukrainian side, Anton Korynewytsch, strongly condemned it. "The Russian side's absence speaks for itself. They refuse to appear in court because they are carrying out a savage aggression and slaughter against my country," he said.
The Ukrainian side said that Russia launched a war against Ukraine on the grounds that genocide is taking place in the eastern part of the divided region of the Klan, but "all this is completely fabricated out of thin air." "This is a sensational lie created by Putin," Kuriniyevich said.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian government has in turn accused Russia of planning genocide in Ukraine and of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity. The Ukrainian government called on the Hague court to issue a ruling as soon as possible and let Russia immediately stop military operations. "Russia's actions must be stopped," Kulinievic stressed.
The outside world is expected to make a ruling within a few days in order to prevent the situation in Ukraine from deteriorating. Given that the International Court of Justice lacks the means to enforce the ruling, it is expected that Russia will not obey the ruling, but the relevant ruling can exert diplomatic pressure on Russia.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague said it had found "reasonable grounds" to suspect Russia of war crimes and crimes against humanity since Russia occupied the Crimea peninsula in a 2014 survey.
Ukraine's president has warned the West that Vladimir Putin will not stop once he has conquered Ukraine, telling a U.S. television channel, 'We will come first. You will come second. Because the more this beast will eat, he wants more, more, and more."
Volodymyr Zelensky, 44, described Ukraine as a 'zone of freedom' that needed to be preserved.
"And when the limits of rights and freedoms are being violated and stepped on, then you have to protect us," he said.
He added, 'Today, war is here. Tomorrow, it will be in Lithuania, then in Poland, then in Germany.
"This is serious.
"United States is far away, but in recent days, I do feel that United States are closer to us."

Zelenskky remains safe
The former actor, whose wartime leadership has impressed the world, on Monday emerged from his bunker in Kyiv and returned to the presidential palace, declaring, "I am here, I am not hiding, and I am not afraid of anyone."
He gave his Facebook audience a tour of the palace, joking, "We used to say Monday, Monday is a hard day. But it is war in our country, so every day is a hard day."
Zelensky told the embattled country, on day 12 of the Russian invasion, "We are all in our places working, where we should be. My team is in Kyiv with me.
"We are all fighting, we are all contributing to our victory which will surely happen."

Zelenskskyy appeals to the U.S. to enforce no-fly zone despite risk of nuclear war
And, in an interview from the palace with ABC News, Zelensky once again appealed to the United States to enforce a no-fly zone. He spoke to Joe Biden on Saturday night for 40 minutes, and pressed the issue with the U.S. leader.
Over the weekend, Biden and his aides were debating the possibility of helping Ukraine with better fighter jets.
Under Biden's scheme, Poland would give Ukraine its MIG fighter jets, which Ukrainian pilots are trained to fly.
In return, the U.S. would replace the Soviet-era planes with modern F-16 American fighter jets.
Antony Blinken, the Secretary of State, said on Sunday that the 'green light' had been given to the plan.
Poland, however, quickly said that they had not agreed any plan.
Poland's president, Andrzej Duda, has repeatedly voiced concern about the proposal, believing it would drag his country into open conflict with Russia.
Russia on Sunday said that they would consider air support - such as allowing Ukrainian planes to use bases in neighboring Romania or Poland - an effective entering of the conflict.

Zelenskyy: The decision lies with the U.S.
Zelensky on Monday said that the plan had indeed been discussed, but the decision lay largely with the U.S.
"We asked not only the United States, we asked many other countries - I'm not going to name them," he said.
"We looked into this question. We know where these Soviet planes are stationed, which countries host them. And we asked these countries.
"And in many ways, it is the United States who will decide."
The father-of-two was asked how long Ukraine can hold out against the Russian onslaught, which began on 24 February 2022.

Zelenskyy: Though Ukrainian cities are unrecognizable now, Ukrainians' resolve remains strong
He admitted that Kyiv was unrecognizable after the Russian bombardment.
The cities of Kharkiv and Mariupol have come under heavy shelling, with Odessa's noted opera house now surrounded by fortifications ahead of an expected amphibious attack.
Towns surrounding Kyiv - among them Irpin, Zhytomyr and Cherniahiv - have been subjected to intense bombardment.
Yet Zelensky said that his country's resolve remained strong.
"I'm sure the Ukrainians are prepared to stand against Russia for their entire lives," he told Muir.
"Even the cities that were occupied by Russian military, they have seen the response and feedback from ordinary people.
"These ordinary people didn't have machine guns. This courage is something that is unprecedented.
"And Russian soldiers don't even have that courage.
"The problem is that for one soldier of Ukraine, we have ten Russian soldiers.
"And for one Ukrainian tank, we have 50 Russian tanks.
"But we are destroying them.
"And this difference is - the gap is closing.
"But the question is how long can we withstand?
"Many things depend not just on us. We will endure.
"And even if they come into all our cities, there will be insurgency, insurgent war.
"And no one will give away our independence."
The United Nations has recorded at least 1,120 civilian casualties so far across Ukraine, with 364 killed and 769 injured, including scores of children. The real toll is likely to be significantly higher.
Horrifying video, shared widely on social media and broadcast on repeat on U.S. cable news, showed civilians being killed as they fled the Russian missiles.
Blinken said on Sunday he had seen evidence to suggest that war crimes had been carried out.
Yet Zelensky, asked whether he thought Putin was deliberately targeting civilians, replied, 'Why would I care? The result is the same.
"eople are dying. The bombardment of the schools and kindergartens, the universities, the dormitory, the bombardment of a nuclear power plant without even thinking that Europe may disappear if it really hits the unit.
"Every minute, every hour, every day the same things are happening. People are dying."

Zelenskyy: Putin is capable to stop the war
Muir asked Zelensky whether Putin himself was a war criminal.
"I think that all people who came to our land, all people who gave those orders, all soldiers who were shooting, they're all war criminals," he replied.

"And even if he doesn't think that he was the one who started, he should know one important thing, a thing that cannot deny, that stopping the war is what he's capable of."

Russian troops suffer heavy losses, Putin's men killed children on buses along "humanitarian corridors" with laid mines
Image : Web Screenshot (Parliament of Ukraine)
Russia's invasion of Ukraine has "slowly significantly" as "'demoralised" troops suffer heavy losses, Kyiv's commanders have claimed, forcing Putin's men to resort to indiscriminate attacks on civilians which killed and wounded a number of children overnight.
Dmytro Zhyvytsky, who heads up the military administration in the besieged eastern city of Sumy, said airstrikes that struck civilian areas shortly after 11 pm killed 18 people including two children and wounded others - with Ukraine's parliament publishing a photo of a bloodied infant they said was injured in the attack.
The image emerged as Russia said it will again open up 'humanitarian corridors' to allow civilians to flee bombarded cities including Sumy - but the offer has already been dismissed by Kyiv, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accusing Moscow of "cynicism", saying its troops have laid mines across the routes and blown up buses intended to be used as transports.
"'There was an agreement on humanitarian corridors. Did that work? Russian tanks worked in its place, Russian Grads (multiple rocket launchers), Russian mines," Zelenskyy said in a video posted on Telegram. "They ensure that a small corridor to the occupied territory is open for a few dozen people. Not so much towards Russia as towards the propagandists, directly towards the television cameras."

At least 406 civilians died in the war
At least 406 civilians have died since the start of Russia's assault on its ex-Soviet neighbour, according to the UN, although it believes the real figures to be "considerably higher".
Ukrainian forces said Tuesday they had repulsed a Russian attack on Izium city in the Kharkiv region, and outgunned troops have been trying to hold back a Russian push up from the east and south in an attempt to encircle Kyiv.
Russian forces "suffered losses and retreated" in Izium after they 'reigned terror in the city by bombing civilian premises and infrastructure,' the military said.
AFP journalists witnessed thousands of civilians on Monday fleeing fighting via an unofficial escape route from Irpin, a suburb west of Kyiv, towards the capital.
Children and the elderly were carried on carpets used as stretchers on the route, which leads over the makeshift bridge and along a single path secured by the army and volunteers.
Desperate people abandoned pushchairs and heavy suitcases to cram on buses out of the war zone.
"We had no light at home, no water, we just sat in the basement," Inna Scherbanyova, 54, an economist from Irpin, told AFP.

UK and U.S. ban on Russian oil and more than 10,000 anti-war protesters arrested in Russia
The leaders of Germany, Britain and the Netherlands warned on 7 March 2022 against a ban on Russian oil, saying it could put Europe's energy security at risk. However on 8 March 2022, the UK has decided to impose gradual ban on both Russian oil imports by year end and an immediate ban on Russian aircraft movements in UK airspace.
In addition, the White House has announced a ban on Russian energy imports on 8 March 2022.
President Joe Biden has decided to stop purchasing oil and natural gas from Moscow as prices at the pump skyrocket in the U.S.
His administration has been under pressure by Democrats and Republicans to act since late last month when Russia's authoritarian leader Vladimir Putin ordered an unprovoked and bloody invasion of Ukraine.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak warned any oil ban would have "catastrophic consequences" on prices that have already headed towards a 2008 record high.

Rallies across Japan condemning the war, the people call for vigilance against CCP China and North Korea
Image : Video Screenshot
Since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war, anti-war rallies and parades have continued throughout Japan. Japanese people held rallies in multiple cities at the same time, condemning Russia's flagrant war and calling for vigilance against CCP China and North Korea.
In front of the Russian Consulate in Sapporo, Japan, Nagoya, the bustling district of Niigata, and Tokyo, protest rallies and marches against Russia's invasion of Ukraine were held.
In the afternoon of March 6, in front of Shinjuku Station in Tokyo, people held display boards such as "No War", "Stop the War", and "Stop the aggression against Ukraine", and chanted slogans such as "Stop the war, withdraw from Ukraine" and other slogans.
A Japanese said, "I feel very angry about Russia's blatant aggression in Ukraine. I have always worried about the safety of the Ukrainian people. The Russian people who have been subjected to economic sanctions are also innocent."
About 70 "volunteer soldiers" from the Japanese people want to go to Ukraine to fight against Russia. The government blocked this civil action.
The Japanese said, "I personally hope that the volunteer soldiers will pass, but (if the government allows it), the law will not be able to, and I regret it."
He added, "Ukraine calls on foreign volunteers to join the war in Ukraine. I think it is a matter of course. It is not a bad thing for the Japanese to respond."
China has condemned Western sanctions against Russia, and North Korea has continuously launched missiles into the Sea of Japan. The Japanese people think that North Korea is just bluffing and the real threat is the CCP.
A Japanese said, "The CCP is observing the reaction of Western countries through the Russian-Ukrainian war, and may be planning to attack Taiwan by force. The CCP is a powerful threat."
Japanese people: "I don't want Xi Jinping to make the same aggressive behavior as Putin. If he does launch a war (against Taiwan), it will bring a devastating blow to himself. I hope he makes it clear."
In response to the CCP's attempt to attack Taiwan by force, Japan must deal with the CCP with awe. The Japanese people believe that the CCP will continue to operate secretly, and call on the government to always be vigilant and pay attention to their movements.

After Russia invaded Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin was condemned by the international community. A few days ago, 210 Tsinghua alumni jointly signed a public request that Tsinghua University revoke Putin's honorary doctorate degree because he launched a "naked war of aggression."
According to comprehensive media reports, the open letter to Qiu Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University in Beijing, stated that during Qiu Yong’s tenure as president of Tsinghua, Tsinghua University awarded Putin an honorary doctorate degree on April 26, 2019 in recognition of his role in “maintaining world peace.” "Outstanding Contribution" to the cause of promoting human progress".
The open letter pointed out that Putin has launched wars against Chechnya, Crimea, Georgia and other countries, and recently launched a war against Ukraine. This is a "naked war of aggression", which has been opposed and condemned by the vast majority of countries around the world.
The open letter concluded that conferring an honorary doctorate degree on Putin was "a disgrace to Tsinghua University, as well as our alumni. We strongly urge the university to make a public statement and cancel Putin's honorary doctorate degree."
The open letter, published on 3 March, was signed by 210 Tsinghua alumni, whose enrollment years ranged from 1955 to 1991.

Nazism of Ukraine? Russia slapped by German embassy
Image : Nazism of Ukraine? German embassy slapped in the face; Putin's "brain" ruined him? (Provided by "Qin Peng Live")
Russia invaded Ukraine and gave four reasons successively, claiming to demilitarize and de-Nazify Ukraine. However, nothing seems to be established now. The German embassy even made fun of the Russian side, "We are the "Nazi" experts!"
Is the real reason for the Russian invasion is Putin's version of the "great national rejuvenation"? Recently, "Putin's brain", Russian expert Dukin surfaced. It was he who put forward the views of neo-Eurasianism, Ukraine's non-existence, etc. However, two articles by Professor Sun Liping of Tsinghua University directly debunked his theory as a "big strategy" that was enough to destroy the ruined rich man in Russia.

To "Nazify" the invasion? German Embassy: We are the "Nazi" experts!
Nazism of Ukraine ?
Putin claimed that the invasion of Russia was to completely "denazify" Ukraine. A few days ago, the Russian embassy in South Africa also cooperated with a "big foreign propaganda", alleging that the Russian army sent troops to Ukraine to fight against the Nazis.
On 5 March 2022, the Russian embassy in South Africa tweeted that they had received a large amount of solidarity from South Africans, both organizations and individuals, saying, "We thank you for your support and are glad that you have decided to stand with us today. Together, just like 80 years ago, Russia is 'fighting the Nazis' in Ukraine"!
Unexpectedly, the German embassy in South Africa responded to the tweet on the same day, completely disrespecting and directly slapped in the face, "I'm sorry, but we can't keep silent about this, this is too extreme", and also said: "On Russia's efforts in Ukraine, all that is done is the killing of innocent children, women and men for self-interest."
The German embassy stressed that "this is definitely not 'fighting Nazism'". Anyone who believes this statement should be ashamed. It said, "Unfortunately, we are experts in Nazism."
Earlier, on 2 March 2022, several international organizations representing victims of former Nazi concentration camps signed an appeal condemning Russia's uses of the term "denazification" and "genocide" to justify attacks on Ukraine. The statement called for an immediate end to Russia's ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine.
Donbas genocide? The UN report shows that's not the case at all.
"Russia is not starting a war, it is ending it," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote in a recent Facebook post.
Vladimir Putin made a similar argument at the start of the Russian attack, when he mistakenly dismissed the Russian offensive as an act of self-defense in line with Article 51 of the UN Charter. Zakharova also claimed that Ukraine plans to "systematically wipe out the population of Donbas".
On 7 March 2022, at the UN's highest judicial body, the International Court of Justice in The Hague, the Netherlands, Ukraine's representative also rejected Russia's claims of a genocide in eastern Ukraine as a "ridiculous lie" and called for urgent measures to stop Russian aggression.
So what is the truth? On 3 March, Deutsche Welle examined Russia's reasoning and found it to be a false pretext. It checked on the basis of an earlier UN Human Rights Council report.
At least 13,000 people have been killed in wars in eastern Ukraine since 2014, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in her FaceBook. She also claimed "the systematic extermination of the Donbas population". However, there is no evidence that a "systematic extermination" of civilians is taking place.
As of early 2020, as many as 13,200 people have been killed in the conflict, according to a report by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights between 16 November 2019, and 15 February2020. Of those, 3,350 were civilians and 5,650 were insurgents, according to the United Nations. It said 4,100 of those killed were Ukrainian soldiers.
Furthermore, the OSCE monitoring mission active in Ukraine since 2014 has found no evidence of mass targeted killings of civilians in the Donbas region. So far, the Russian Foreign Ministry has provided no evidence to support its claims that the people of eastern Ukraine are subject to "systematic extermination."

Russia boasts destruction of laboratories, claims the U.S. engaged in bioweapon development in Ukraine
The claim was spread on social media, with a Facebook post showing a map of Ukraine with what the poster claimed was "the US's exclusive US biological laboratory in Ukraine," funded by the U.S. Department of Defense .
"By now, I think most people know about Ukraine/World War 3." The post accumulated more than 400 interactions in a day. "So what do we know about this??"
Similar posts claim Russia destroyed seven of the 11 putative laboratories in missile strikes.
In addition, similar claims have been widely circulated on Chinese social media.
However, these claims are false, according to an independent fact-checker.
The nonprofit media company Coda reported in 2018 that the claim was part of a broader disinformation campaign by the Kremlin to discredit the United States in the eyes of Russia's pro-Western neighbors Ukraine and Georgia.
In addition, it was noted that when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Russia cooperated with China to further amplify the false claims of U.S. laboratories in Ukraine. The aim, according to an April 2021 report by The Daily Beast, is to question whether SARS-CoV-2 originated in one of the so-called "US-controlled" labs.

Putin claims Ukraine has been Russian territory since ancient times but history states otherwise
After Russia's actions in eastern Ukraine, Putin made a speech claiming that Ukraine has been Russian territory since ancient times, which is considered to be Putin's search for a historical basis for the next action plan.
"I'll start by saying that modern Ukraine was created entirely by Russia, or more precisely, by the Russian Bolsheviks."
However, this is not historical.
As early as 822 AD, the first Russian nation-state Kievan Rus was established in Kyiv, Ukraine, known as the "City of Emperors" on the Dnieper River, also known as the "Mother of Russian Cities".
In this way, Kievan Rus is the earliest East Slavic state and is considered to be the predecessor of the three modern East Slavic nation states (Russia, Ukraine and Belarus). Kyiv has a history of more than 1,500 years.
In contrast, Moscow, the capital of Russia, has a much shorter history. In 1147, Moscow was built along the Moskva River. From the time of the Grand Duke of Moscow, it has been the capital of the country from Russia to the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation. It has a history of more than 800 years and is a world-famous ancient city.
In addition, the Kenyan ambassador to the United Nations said a paragraph when discussing the Ukraine incident: Almost all African countries' borders are demarcated by outsiders. Among them, there are many problems. But since these borders are delineated in accordance with international law, if we try to change them, there will be rivers of blood. We choose to pursue greatness that many of our nations and peoples have never been, and we choose to abide by the provisions of the Organization of African Unity and the United Nations Charter, not because our borders satisfy us, but because we want to forge greater in peace thing.

Putin claims Ukraine was planning to develop nuclear weapons
Of course, over the weekend, we saw that Putin changed his story again, saying that Ukraine was developing nuclear weapons that could pose a threat to Russia. This is a story reminiscent of the wolf and the lamb.
This "Aesop's Fables" story, which I think everyone has read, is about a wolf and a lamb who happened to be drinking by a small stream at the same time. The wolf was looking for various excuses to eat the lamb. The story is about a bad guy like the wolf, and whatever you say to him is for nothing.

Is he Putin's brain? Tsinghua professor Sun Liping: Destroying "heroes and talents"
Since none of these reasons are valid, why does Russia want to fully invade Ukraine this time? Superficially and directly, this has to do with U.S. and Western policy, but deep down, it comes from Putin's dream of a Great Russian Empire.
We know that the major international strategy during the Trump administration era was to unite with Russia and resist the Communist Party, meaning the U.S. under Trump's control was trying to de-escalate relations with Russia while focusing on fighting CCP China. Besides, Putin is also very interesting, everyone may remember this story:
In 2019, the last day of Xi Jinping's visit to Russia. On the same day, when Putin accepted a question from a host at an investment forum held in St. Petersburg, "Who does Russia support in the Sino-U.S. trade war?" He smiled and said: "When two tigers are fighting, a smart monkey sits aside and sees who wins." As soon as Putin said this, the Russian officials and guests in the audience burst into laughter. The video was cropped and added in Chinese, and it went viral on Twitter at the time.
However, after Biden took office, he proposed that the United States must compete with a rising China, while containing Russia as a disruptor. In other words, the strategy under Trump has been changed to focus on confronting Russia.
Of course, this is one reason. In addition, NATO has continued to expand eastward over the years. After Russia abandoned communism, the three-term presidents Gorbachev, Yeltsin, and even the strongman Vladimir Putin once lowered their stature three times, asking to join NATO in 2001, 2004 and 2008 but they were rejected.
However, this does not explain why Putin wants to invade Ukraine in full. He said that Ukraine has been Russian territory since ancient times and Russia is trying to annex Ukraine.
What is the truth? At a deeper level, it is because Putin believes in Great Russianism and Neo-Eurasianism, which is his version of national rejuvenation. The mastermind behind this doctrine is the Russian scholar Alexander Dukin. Some people say that it is difficult to understand the current Ukrainian war without understanding Dukin's thinking.
Some people say that Dukin is Putin's brain, and Putin is Dukin's body. The famous American conservative website and right-wing website "Breitbart News" (formerly in charge of Trump's chief strategic adviser Bannon) likened him to the "demon monk" Rasputin who influenced the Russian monarch Nicholas II. , is the most dangerous person in the world today.
News (46)
Dukin proposed a so-called fourth political theory for the revival of Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union: Neo-Eurasianism
In Dukin's view, liberalism is full of drawbacks and is heading for decline. Fascism and communism are already a thing of the past. His Neo-Eurasianism is the future of mankind, and the carrier of Neo-Eurasianism is Russia.
Dukin divides the world into four civilizational regions: America-Latin America, Africa-Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Eurasia. On this basis, with Russia as the axis, a Eurasian alliance system will be constructed. It is a coalition rivaling US-UK maritime liberalism.
In this system, the three East Slavic countries are the core of the axis. Therefore, Ukraine, one of the three East Slavic countries, must be part of Russia. This is the rationale that Russia must send troops and control Ukraine.
In December last year, Dukin directly asked in a column on the Observer Network: Does Ukraine really exist in history? He gave a whole bunch of reasons why Ukraine did not exist. You can recall again, Putin's speech after the invasion of Ukraine.
He believes that Russia has made a mistake: it recognizes the new Ukrainian government and hopes to establish peace with Kyiv. However, the Normandy model and the Minsk agreement, which are really just about de-escalating the situation, do not solve anything in the long run, or even in the medium term.
So where is the way out for Ukraine? There can only be one solution to this situation, he said: split Ukraine into two parts, recognizing two political sovereignty - Western Right Bank Ukraine and Novorossiya - while retaining a special status for Kyiv. This will happen sooner or later.
Putin also made it clear that Russia's annexation and division of Ukraine in this way, "this is not an attack from one country to another, but a process of great geopolitics. When Moscow is weak and allows idiots or direct proxies of Western powers Russia lost Ukraine when it ruled, leaving Ukraine in the hands of ultra-nationalist politicians who were immediately chosen by the West. The Ukraine issue surfaced when Putin began to restore Russia's sovereignty and power as a great power. Zbigniew Zbigniew Brzezinski firmly believed that without Ukraine, Russia could not have become the sovereign pole of a multipolar world. "
Professor Sun Liping's article on 6 March believes that Putin'ss ideological theory is magnificent, and has widely absorbed fragmented ideological achievements in human history, including postmodernism.
However, in reality, Russia is both too big and too small. Russia has the largest territory in the world, with a population of 140 million, and is born out of a historical empire, which makes it difficult to integrate into an existing alliance. But at the same time, its economy is too small to support its ambition to become a world-class power or even greater.
He drew an analogy. In a village, there used to be a big family, but later it declined and became a small family. At this time, how difficult and important it is to relocate psychologically. "If you are wiser and live your life peacefully according to the current situation, this life is not impossible. The fear is that at this time, there will be a brilliant strategist in the family, desperate to restore or even surpass the glory of the ancestors. If so, the results can be imagined."
Sun Liping said that Du Jin's thought is a kind of heroic and brilliant strategy that can completely destroy a dilapidated people.

Putin's annexation of Ukraine is an outdated imperial territorial obsession
In addition, Sun Liping added an article on 7 March, saying that Dukin's theory is to imply that Putin's annexation of Ukraine is an outdated imperial territorial obsession.
He said it took the Russian Empire about 300 years to expand its territory to 22.8 million square km. Why are empires so obsessed with territorial expansion? For, in the age of agriculture or animal husbandry, territory meant wealth, territory meant security, and territory meant glory. Like the Manchu and Han banquets, which symbolize abundance, the vast territory means volume and strength. However, this is a thing of the past, present Generations have changed.
Yes, to this day, we all know that in fact, many developed countries are small in territory, densely populated, and very scarce in resources, such as Japan and South Korea. However, their technology is very advanced.
So, the question is, what if Putin's attention to Russia's national rejuvenation focuses on institutional reform, innovation and market development?
However, what we have seen is that Russia still mainly relies on energy and military industry as the main driving force for economic development. We can look at two sets of data here, and you can decide:
In 2019, Russia's R&D investment intensity was only 1.1%, ranking 34th in the world, lower than Israel's 4.25%, South Korea's 4.24%, Switzerland's 3.37% and Sweden's 3.25%. In the same year, the per capita R&D investment of Russian researchers was only US$93,000, ranking 47th in the world. Switzerland topped the list with $406,700, followed by the United States and China.
In terms of investment entities in scientific and technological research and development, in 2019, 66.3% of Russia's R&D investment came from the state, and the proportion of enterprise R&D investment was only 30.2%. Among the top 10 countries in R&D investment, Russia's national participation scale is comparable to that of India.
Therefore, the decline of Russia and the war in Ukraine, of course, there are many external factors, but as Russia itself, does it really need to review itself?
