On Saturday, President Tsai Ing-wen of the Republic of China met with Hagiuda Koichi, a senior executive of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan known as "Abe's successor". The two sides discussed topics such as deepening cooperation and maintaining peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
In the afternoon of Saturday (December 10), Hagiuda Koichi, chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan’s political investigation, paid a courtesy call on President Tsai Ing-wen at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of China. He promised to help deepen the partnership between Japan and Taiwan, and also emphasized that Taiwan is an important ally of Japan, and both sides share the same values of freedom and democracy.
Hagiuda Koichi: "Taiwan is an extremely important partner and important friend of Japan. The two sides share the same values, such as freedom and democracy, basic human rights and the rule of law, etc., and have close economic relations and personnel exchanges. In this case, our help and partnerships are built over time."
Tsai Ing-wen: "Taiwan will continue to deepen cooperation with Japan in security and other fields, and together promote freedom, openness and stability in the Indo-Pacific region."
This year coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association. Hagiuda Koichi will participate in the Taiwan-Japan Relations Forum on Sunday (11 Decemberh). President Tsai Ing-wen, while thanking Japan for its importance and support for Taiwan, also emphasized that she will continue to strive for Taiwan to join the "Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership" (CPTPP).
Tsai Ing-wen: "Taiwan will continue to actively seek to join the CPTPP and related regional economic and trade cooperation mechanisms. We hope that the Japanese government, the National Assembly and all walks of life will continue to support them."
This is the first time in 19 years that the top leaders of the Japanese Liberal Democratic Party visited Taiwan again, which is of great significance. The visiting Hagiuda Koichi is regarded by the Japanese political circles as the successor of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Abe himself once said in response to the threat of the CCP, "If there is something wrong with Taiwan, it is something that is wrong with Japan."

Federal court permanently blocks Biden administration's transgender mandate
Reporter : Ren Hao / Editor: Zhu Xinrui / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/12/11/a103595490.html
The U.S. Federal Court of Appeals ruled on December 9 to permanently block the injunction of the Biden administration to force doctors and insurance companies to perform sex reassignment surgery.
The Biden administration’s mandatory order for sex reassignment surgery requires doctors and insurance companies not to consider their own conscience and medical judgment when they clearly know that the operation will damage the patient’s health. punishment.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit permanently blocked the injunction on the 9th, ruling that the injunction violated the freedom of religion stipulated in the U.S. Constitution.
Controversial injunction
The Biden-Harris administration supports same-sex marriage and the acceptance of sex reassignment surgery for young children. However, the medical profession has always disapproved of minors undergoing sex reassignment surgery, especially young children.
Researchers tracked the developmental process of children who underwent sex reassignment surgery and found that after minors underwent sex reassignment surgery, bone density decreased to varying degrees, and many of them suffered from heart disease or cancer.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) also understands the harm of sex reassignment surgery to the human body, so neither Medicare nor Medicaid, the medical insurance programs provided by the government, compels the insurance companies that provide services to pay the cost of sex reassignment surgery for policyholders. Medicare and Medicaid serve mostly adults.
The Biden-Harris administration's mandatory sex reassignment surgery has been opposed by many groups, including doctors, who believe that doctors have the right to choose the best treatment plan based on the patient's physical condition, rather than being forced to perform sex reassignment surgery on patients.

Legal action
There are eight plaintiffs, including the University of Mary, the Sisters of Mercy, SMP Health System, Sacred Heart of Mercy Health Care, the Catholic Medical Society, the Catholic Welfare Society, the Diocese of Fargo and North Dakota Catholic Charities. The defendants include different departments and directors in the Biden administration, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
After the case was ruled in favor of the plaintiffs in North Dakota, it was appealed to the 8th Circuit Court.
Now, if the Biden-Harris administration refuses to accept the judgment of the appeals court, it can apply to the 8th Circuit Court for a new hearing within 45 days, or it can appeal to the Supreme Court for trial within 90 days. According to sources, it is unlikely that the Biden-Harris administration will continue to appeal.
There are other organizations and teams in the United States suing the Biden-Harris administration for this injunction, including the case in Texas. After the Biden-Harris administration lost the case and appealed, the appeals court ruled to uphold the original judgment.
