Due to the loosening of the epidemic prevention and control measures in China, the number of infections and deaths has increased sharply. Recently, it has been revealed that although the authorities have not reported any deaths from the epidemic, the demand for cremation and funerals in local funeral parlors has soared. Hong Kong media even reported It is reported that "more than 2,700 people" died at home from the epidemic in Beijing on 17 December 2022 alone, and the funeral service fee doubled.

After the groups around the world rebounded from excessive epidemic prevention, China made a sudden policy turn and relaxed the epidemic prevention measures. China's National Health Commission even announced that it would no longer publish the number of asymptomatic infections on the grounds that infected persons did not participate in nucleic acid testing, which made it impossible to grasp the number of people infected but at the same time, although the official has not announced the death of anyone recently, the local funeral demand has suddenly increased sharply, and even the supply exceeds the demand. Some funeral home personnel even revealed that 50 remains were cremated in a single day, which is more than the usual period last winter several times.

Hong Kong newspaper "Ming Pao" reported on 18 December 2022 that the newspaper learned about the current situation from 12 government-run funeral homes in Beijing. Most of the staff told them that there are currently too many uncremated remains in the backlog, and it takes a long time to make an appointment to collect remains from non-areas. The staff of one of the Huairou funeral parlors said that the number of cremated remains sent was "too many" and bluntly said that "the phone never stopped" and "we couldn't take new appointments at all" throughout the day.

The staff of the Yanqing funeral home also pointed out that the cremation of the remains takes a long time, "When will there be an empty furnace to burn?" The Pinggu Funeral Home said that it will not be able to receive new remains until the 25th at the earliest, and the delivery task of the museum's 3 to 4 special vehicles is already full. Some funeral homes even pointed out that they will not be able to arrange until the 30th of this month at the earliest.

"Ming Pao" also asked a number of people in Beijing's funeral industry chain. Relevant sources revealed that all funeral homes are currently burning 24 hours a day. The larger funeral homes in the city, such as Babaoshan and Dongjiao, can cremate more than 300 people a day, but there is still a backlog. There are more than 2,000 remains, which "cannot be burned in a week." Due to the deterioration of a large number of unfrozen remains, the two funeral homes have also urgently purchased refrigerated containers to store the remains.

The report mentioned that after the outbreak of the epidemic, the fees of funeral companies have risen sharply. Compared with the more than 10,000 RMB in November, the quotations for early freezing and cremation services have doubled to 20,000 to 30,000 RMB (approx. NT$80,000 to NT$132,000).

In this regard, Chinese netizens have also criticized the authorities for taking a sharp turn in the epidemic prevention measures, making people feel like ants and lives, questioning "this is a tragedy caused by blind opening", "really many old people died due to covid, and they were told that they could not be queued when they went to the funeral home superior".

During the epidemic in China, Many Chinese "fell on the ground"

中国疫情大爆发 多地再现“随地倒”(多视频)

The epidemic in China has once again exploded, and the frequent "falling on the ground" cases that occurred in 2020 when the epidemic was severe have reappeared in many places. In the past three years, many Chinese have "fallen on the ground". Some people think the situationt is caused by virus attacks, while others suspect that it is a side effect of CCP vaccines.

In the past week or so, a large number of "falling on the ground" videos have been leaked from all over China. According to rough statistics, there are at least two dozen of them. The frequency is frighteningly high.

Some of these videos are from Chinese social media, and some are from local state media reports. Among the parties who suddenly fell to the ground, there were elderly people, many young men and women, police officers, doctors, and delivery boys. The places where they fell, some were at home, some were on the roadside, some were in parks, some were at stations, some were on buses, some were in police stations, and so on.

The areas where the incident occurred include Susong in Anhui, Jinan in Shandong, Qingdao in Shandong, Nanning in Guangxi, Quanzhou in Fujian, Changchun in Jilin, Qiqihar in Heilongjiang, Haikou in Hainan, Wanzhou in Chongqing, and Hong Kong.

The video showed that many people fell to the ground suddenly and without warning. Some lost consciousness after falling to the ground, and many people twitched wildly after falling to the ground, which is similar to the situation when the epidemic was severe in 2020. At that time, a doctor analyzed that "falling on the ground" may be caused by the covid virus  attacking the heart and brain. Later, some people suspected that it might also be caused by the side effects of the covi vaccines.

Unblocking chaos, Hong Kong scholar: China fears 1 million deaths from covid

Reporter : Wei Guojin / https://news.ltn.com.tw/news/world/breakingnews/4156344Image : The report, co-authored by Leung Cheuk-wai, former dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong, said that due to the lack of mass vaccination boosters and other measures to reduce the impact of the covid virus in China, a chaotic nationwide easing of lockdowns could result in a death toll of 684 per million people. In other words, 1 million people in China may die from the disease. (Reuters)

Bloomberg reported that according to the latest research released by Hong Kong researchers, as the Chinese government quickly lifted the epidemic prevention restrictions, nearly 1 million people in China may die of Wuhan pneumonia (covid, COVID-19) ), and the medical systems in all provinces of China are unable to cope with this surge of cases.

The report, which was co-authored by Leung Cheuk-wai, former dean of the University of Hong Kong's Faculty of Medicine, said that the lack of mass vaccination boosters and other measures to reduce the impact of the virus may result in a nationwide deaths of 684 people among China's 1,000 million people.

"Our findings show that local health systems in all provinces across the country are not equipped to cope with a surge in COVID-19 cases due to reopening between December 2022 and January 2023," the report reads.

A more orderly easing of lockdowns could save lives, researchers say. If China had waited until January to reopen, while first boosting vaccination rates and obtaining antiviral drugs, the cumulative death toll could have been reduced by 26%.

Leung Cheuk-wai, former Deputy Secretary of the Hong Kong Food and Health Bureau, is a well-known figure in the Hong Kong medical circle. Former Hong Kong chief executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor has said she only tightened restrictions after receiving a WhatsApp message from Leung.

When Omicron spread in Hong Kong in early February, Leung's computer models showed that nearly 7,000 people would die from the disease by mid-June if the medical system were overwhelmed. The forecast proved an underestimate, with more than 9,000 deaths in Hong Kong by mid-June.

According to Leung Cheuk Wai's latest report, the explosive growth of the infection rate in China may also cause the virus to mutate. The report said that the high R value (basic reproductive number of the virus) seen in reopening will lead to a considerable number of infections, which may accelerate the mutation and evolution of the virus.

After the Chinese government stopped publishing the number of new asymptomatic cases, China's R value has become uncertain.

Surge in virus infections threatens to paralyze China's industries

Image : China's anti-epidemic policy has been loosened, and the number of people infected with the epidemic has risen sharply, impacting industrial production. (Bloomberg file photo)

China’s anti-epidemic policy has taken a sharp turn. The number of infected people has skyrocketed. Workers cannot go to work, production lines have stopped, and many factories have been forced to close, disrupting the supply chain. Analysts believe that this wave of infections may cause short-term pain for Chinese industry, but it will help China speed up its recovery from the epidemic.

CCP President Xi Jinping recently announced a major shift in the zero-covid policy and loosened relevant anti-epidemic measures. The sudden "class" opening up caused the virus to ravage cities in China, and the number of infections and deaths surged. Government officials and companies were caught off guard.

The Chinese capital, Beijing, is leading the surge in infections, according to statistics, with more than half of the city's 21 million people infected. Due to the continuous expansion of the epidemic, many areas have experienced a shortage of manpower due to workers contracting the epidemic or taking sick leave, and fewer and fewer people are working in many factories.

A manager of an automobile assembly plant in Hebei said that the plan to restore "closed-loop" management, allowing employees to stay in the factory to live and work, can avoid large-scale infections while maintaining a stable production line. He said: "If we don't do this, no employees can come to work."

In addition, the supply chain was also affected by the wave of the epidemic, and the production of upstream manufacturers was shut down, which forced suppliers to slow down their production speed or even close down. Jacob Cooke, chief executive of e-commerce company WPIC, said deliveries were delayed because the driver responsible for the delivery fell ill.

Shaun Rein, managing director of China Market Research Group (CMR), warned that many workers will lose income in 2022 due to the zero-covid policy, so consumer confidence is very low and many small and medium-sized enterprises have closed down.

Beijing's epidemic fights back, many people die from the epidemic, China's official regular press conferences are canceled one after another

After the Chinese authorities relaxed the covid prevention and control policy, they did not plan complete supporting measures, which caused panic among the people, the near collapse of the medical system, and even a shortage of antipyretics, etc. The situation, the community platform has recently reported that the epidemic situation in Beijing is now severe, and people have begun to die from the epidemic. The Chinese authorities announced that the press conference originally scheduled to be held tomorrow morning will be released online due to "work arrangements". It is speculated that it may be related to the expansion of the epidemic.

The social platform "Fang Zhouzi" tweeted on 13 December 2022 that most of the Beijing residents he knew had been infected, and all said they had symptoms of fever, and some even said their symptoms were severe. This is inconsistent with the situation in the United States, because after being vaccinated in the United States, most of the infected people only developed mild or asymptomatic symptoms. It is obvious that the CCP vaccines are not effective at all and have side effects.

Fang Zhouzi said that the epidemic in Beijing has become so serious, and people have started to die from the epidemic one after another. "That didn't happen after the new 10th article." It is speculated that the outbreak has been at least about half a month. The epidemic cannot be controlled, and the political risks are too great, so that Beijing cannot implement a city closure like Shanghai. It happened to coincide with the "blank paper revolution" movement. "The authorities simply don't care about anything." Attached are 2 netizens from Beijing screenshot.

A netizen revealed that more than 30 people around him were infected, and only one case was asymptomatic. The funeral home said that 85 deceased were cremated on the 12th, and 20 of them were confirmed covi-positive.

In addition, due to the severity of the epidemic in Beijing, it also affected the regular press conferences held by Chinese officials, including the suspension of the regular press conferences scheduled to be held by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council of China. This is the second cancellation of press conferences since 30 November 2022; The bureau also suddenly announced at noon today that the press conference on the economic situation in November, which was originally held on 15 December, had been changed to an online release. The value could not be determined.

Acetaminophen tablets (paracetamol) antipyretics produced by China Northeast Pharmaceuticals are priced at 2 RMB (about NT$9) per plate (20 capsules). "Hot search on Weibo. Northeast Pharmaceuticals said that it is working overtime to expand production.

After China relaxed its epidemic prevention restrictions, there have been "drug rush" and "drug shortage" in many places. It is understood that the demand for anti-fever, cough, anti-virus and other drugs in China has recently increased significantly, and relevant pharmaceutical companies have been working overtime for production.

According to Northeast Pharmaceuticals on the 16th, with the shortage of medicines and the surge in demand, orders are in short supply. At the same time, the drug is sold in many pharmacies at a price of 2 yuan and 20 capsules. The price is close to the people and the people call it a "conscience enterprise".

A few days ago, according to a report by the Chinese media "First Finance and Economics", there is an extreme shortage of antipyretics in China. Not only stores on e-commerce platforms have raised prices, but even merchants specializing in purchasing agents have raised prices aggressively. Among them, the price difference of Panadol produced by the British health care company GSK is the most exaggerated, as high as 9 times.

Not afraid of the CCP? Vietnam makes "substantial" expansion in South China Sea

不惧中共? 越南在南海进行“实质性”扩张

In the second half of 2022, Vietnam carried out large-scale dredging and landfilling of several outposts in the South China Sea, a move that strongly signaled Vietnam’s intention to significantly strengthen its claim to the disputed waterway.

Vietnam has created about 170 hectares (420 acres) of new land in the Spratly Islands, which are claimed by China and other countries, putting it in the total area of land reclamation in the past ten years 220 hectares.

Vietnam is strengthening its presence in the Spratly Islands

According to commercial satellite imagery from CSIS' Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative (AMTI), the new works in Vietnam include expanded landfilling at four sites and dredging at five more.

"While still well below the 3,200-plus acres China created between 2013 and 2016, the scale of Vietnam's landfill efforts is much larger than previous efforts and represents a major move to strengthen its position in the Spratly Islands ,” the report stated.

A port appears on Namyit and Phan Rong

AMTI said Vietnam was undertaking a major expansion of its medium-sized outposts on Namyit Island, Pearson Reef ("Phan Rong Island" in Vietnam) and Sand Cay ("Song Song Island" in Vietnam), On Namyit Island and Phan Rong Island, a dredged port has been formed to accommodate large ships.

Both Namyit Island (47 hectares) and Phan Rong Island (48 hectares) are now larger than Nung Wei Island (39 hectares), which was once Vietnam's largest outpost. According to the report, Tennent Reef, which used to have only two small medicine box structures, now has 26 hectares of artificial land.

News (10)

Vietnam’s 2022 dredging and landfilling activities are substantial

AMTI pointed out that Vietnam’s method of scooping up parts of shallow reefs with clamshell dredgers and dumping the sediment into garbage dumps is less destructive than the CCP’s knife-suction dredging method, “but Vietnam’s 2022 dredging and landfilling activities are substantial".

"It remains to be seen what infrastructure the expanded outpost will have," the report said.

While China claims most of the South China Sea and has established military outposts on artificial islands it has built, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines all have claims to the waters. Such a bold move by Vietnam is rare.

Vietnam is bordered by China to the north, mountainous Laos to the west, suspicious Cambodia to the south and disputed seas to the east.

Vietnam is minimizing the negative impact of China's aggressive behaviour, preparing for a worst-case scenario and diversifying its arm suppliers

While Vietnam prioritizes maintaining good relations with China to avoid unnecessary conflict, it is looking for options that can help it minimize the negative impact of China's aggressive behavior in the short term and prepare for a worst-case scenario in the long term. Intend. Once the practice of obeying the CCP does more harm than good, Vietnam will consider balancing the CCP.

A country typically has two main ways of balancing threats: internally through domestic arms production, and externally through military alliances. Vietnam's non-aligned foreign policy means it will choose the first way and leave the second way for the future.

Vietnam hosted its first international defense expo last week, aiming to diversify its arms suppliers away from Russia. Beyond the technical aspects of the weapons, the expo is also an opportunity for partners such as the United States or India to forge closer defense ties with Hanoi, while Vietnam also signals to China that it is serious about modernizing and diversifying its armed forces.

Vaccinate at your own expense! "South China Morning Post": Chinese flock to Macau for mRNA vaccine

After China relaxed the epidemic prevention measures for covid, many people worried about the shortage of medical treatment and rushed to buy medicines. Not only that, as Macau opened up vaccinations for short-term tourists, a large number of Chinese people went to get the BioNTech vaccine that has not yet been approved by the Chinese authorities (called Fubitai in China, Hong Kong and Macau).

Hong Kong's "South China Morning Post" reported on the 17th that after the Macau authorities announced the lifting of the restrictions on short-term visitors receiving the covi vaccine last month, the Affiliated Hospital of the Macau University of Science and Technology, the only local vaccination site that provides the "Fubitai" vaccine, has become a "hot spot" for Chinese tourists. Visiting place". However, Chinese tourists can only be vaccinated against the original Wuhan virus strain at present, and the next-generation bivalent vaccine is still limited to local people.

Wang Chenchen (transliteration), who came from Shenzhen, said that she and her husband were vaccinated with "Fubitai" in Macau on the 13th, because they could find a lot of information about this vaccine on the Internet, which made them feel more at ease. Although Chinese tourists have to pay HKD 1360 to 1650 (approximately NTD 5431 to 6590) to get vaccinated, and they cannot refund the fee, nor can they change the date of vaccination, but Wang Chenchen said that "it didn't cost a lot of money", and all of them only need nearly 6000 HKD to get a complete vaccination, and the husband's company also provides them with additional health insurance.

Another Shenzhen resident, Zalina, said that she made an appointment to go to Macau for vaccinations before the Beijing central government announced the relaxation of epidemic prevention measures, but was rejected by the Macau authorities at that time because they did not accept Chinese urban residents who had cases within 14 days. More than 1,000 RMB." With the unblocking, Zalina said again, "If possible, I would definitely choose the mRNA vaccine, because the experimental results seen on the Internet show that the protection of the mRNA vaccine is generally better than that of domestic vaccines. The vaccination rate in Shenzhen is very high but there are still a lot of people infected.”

It is understood that the covid vaccination service at the Affiliated Hospital of Macau University of Science and Technology must be reserved one week in advance. The demand has been extremely strong in the past month. At present, Chinese tourists have to wait until 21 January 2023 at the earliest to have vacancies.

Worried about returning home during the Spring Festival, the covid epidemic peak again, Chinese officials ordered rural vigilance

(Associated Press)

Chinese people can start buying tickets for New Year’s Day holidays starting 17 December 2022. However, as the number of confirmed cases continues to soar and the number of people returning to their hometowns is expected to soar during the Spring Festival, officials said that they will be particularly vigilant in rural areas with weak medical systems.

According to comprehensive foreign media reports, the Chinese government relaxed restrictions on the prevention of Wuhan pneumonia infection on the 7th, including allowing people to move across provinces. The train tickets for the three-day New Year’s Day holiday in China are now on sale. However, according to local media reports, in addition to New Year’s Eve tickets, many people have pre-purchased Chinese New Year “Spring Festival” through several domestic travel websites to return home. For train tickets and air tickets, and the number of pre-orders continues to grow in a short period of time, the number of people returning home will increase significantly.

For this reason, for rural areas with relatively weak medical systems, the CCP government has issued instructions to local governments, requiring thorough contact with major medical institutions to jointly develop and discuss infection response measures.

According to reports, the government of Henan Province in China has stipulated that local medical personnel will cancel holidays in the province's health system from now until the end of March 2023, and require hospitals and other institutions to be on duty 24 hours a day in order to deal with patients and improve the prevention vigilance of infection transmission.

The Beijing morgue is full, a freezer stores 30 corpses, and the funeral parlor is short of staff

As the number of infected people in Beijing continues to soar, the medical system in Beijing has almost collapsed, and the death toll has also risen sharply. At present, hospitals, funeral parlors, and crematoria in Beijing are overwhelmed, the morgues are full, and funeral parlors store dozens of corpses in refrigerated containers. Funeral homes and crematoria have experienced shortages due to the high number of employees infected by the epidemic.

Since the sharp turn of the CCP’s epidemic policy, there has been a rush to buy medicines in various places, the number of fever clinics has skyrocketed, a large number of medical staff have been infected with the epidemic, and medical resources have been severely run out. At the same time, the number of deaths has increased rapidly. All funeral parlors and crematoria are full of reservations. The number of cremations per day has increased several times.

The World Health Organization (WHO) official pointed out that the virus had been "intensively spreading" in China long before the CCP lifted the containment measures.

The morgue is full, a freezer stores 30 bodies

Hong Kong's "Ming Pao" reported on 18 December 2022 that the number of deaths related to the epidemic in Beijing has risen sharply recently, and the city's hospital morgues, funeral parlors and other places where corpses are parked and processed are all "overcrowded".

Industry insiders in Beijing revealed that the hospital morgues are currently full, and "two bodies are stuffed into one compartment"; some funeral parlors have purchased refrigerated containers to store 20 to 30 remains.

Relevant sources said that funeral homes are currently burning 24 hours a day, such as Babaoshan and Dongjiao funeral homes, which can cremate more than 300 people a day. The person said that due to the deterioration of a large number of unfrozen remains, the above-mentioned two museums have urgently purchased refrigerated containers for centralized storage.

The report quoted a staff member of the mortuary of the China-Japan Friendship Hospital as saying that the refrigerated cabinets in the mortuary of the hospital are full, and all the cabinets are "first come, first served".  There are still 30 corpses that cannot be frozen on the ground of the morgue waiting to be put into the cabinet.

The staff of the mortuary of Peking University Third Hospital also said that all the refrigerators in the hospital are already full, and even the corpses sent by 120 (emergency center) cannot be received at present.

The staff of the mortuary of Beijing Ditan Hospital said that at present, the remains of the dead in the hospital cannot even be received, and all of them have to find other ways to move them.

The newspaper asked 12 government-run funeral homes in Beijing about the current volume of cremation business. Most of the staff told them that there is currently a backlog of too many remains that have not been cremated, and that it takes a long time to make an appointment. . Some funeral homes have to wait 7 or more than 10 days before accepting new remains.

A staff member of the Huairou funeral home said that there are too many cremated remains, and there is an unknown number of people in the queue, and they cannot accept new appointments at all. However, there are only two incinerators in the museum, and the backlog is too much. At present, "the queue (schedule) is not allowed to be discharged", and all the ones sent from the urban area will be returned directly.

In addition, after the outbreak of the epidemic, the charges of funeral companies have skyrocketed.

The report quoted a number of persons in the funeral industry chain in Beijing as saying that at present, services including early freezing of remains and cremation are provided, and the quotations are all 20,000 to 30,000 yuan (RMB, the same below), while the quotation in November was only more than 10,000 yuan.

Funeral homes, crematoria staff shortages as covid cases rise

In addition, due to the increase in the number of employees of more than a dozen funeral homes and crematoria in Beijing, there is a shortage of employees and drivers who normally go to work in funeral homes and crematoria.

Beijing's funeral homes and crematoria are also struggling to meet demand as more workers and drivers test positive for the COVID-19 virus, Reuters reported on 17 December.

In the afternoon of 17 December, a Reuters reporter saw about 30 hearses parked on the driveway leading to the funeral home in the eastern suburbs. The Dongjiao Funeral Home is the crematorium designated by Beijing for the victims of the epidemic.

Among them was an ambulance and a car with the trunk open. The open trunk contained a body wrapped in a sheet. Workers in protective gear later carried the body away to a preparation room for cremation. Among the many chimneys, there are three chimneys that are always smoking.

In a funeral home a few meters away from the crematorium, a Reuters reporter saw about 20 yellow body bags containing bodies on the floor. Reuters could not immediately determine whether they had died from the disease.

"We have fewer drivers and fewer workers now," a worker at the Miyun funeral home told Reuters by phone, adding that there was a growing backlog of demand for cremation services. "We have a lot of workers who have tested positive."

A staff member of the Huairou funeral home said that it takes three days for the body to be cremated after being delivered to the funeral home. "You can transport the body here yourself, it's very busy recently."

Recently, many famous people in mainland China have died from the epidemic. For example, Yang Lianghua, a reporter from People’s Daily, the mouthpiece of the Communist Party of China, Zhou Zhichun, the former vice president and deputy editor-in-chief of China Youth Daily, and Wang Delu, director of the Beijing Great Wall Strategic Research Institute. The 37-year-old former Shenyang Jinde team player Wang Ruoji also died of the disease.

In addition, judging from the obituaries released in Peking University, 15 professors died from 31 October to 5 December while at Tsinghua University, 18 professors died between 10 November and 10 December 2022.

Since 7 December 2022, the National Health Commission of the Communist Party of China has not announced any new deaths.

On December 8, Mainland Zhihu.com published "Will Fantasia Quit the Real Estate Circle?" The article stated that there was breaking news that Pan Jun, the president of Fantasia Group, "is said to have lost contact, please go to drink tea."

On 4 October 2021, Fantasia issued an announcement stating that "the due notes of US$205.656 million failed to be repaid as scheduled." The North China region, East China region, and Central China region have been closed one after another, leaving only the Southwest region and the Greater Bay Area still struggling to support.

Rating agency Fitch has warned that by the end of 2022, Fantasia will have to repay nearly US$2 billion in international bonds and nearly US$1 billion in Chinese market bonds.

This is an important issue. It is a signal that Zeng Qinghong has lost power."

Zeng Qinghong, a former member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee, was the second most powerful person in Jiang Zemin's era, known as Jiang's "Chief Executive". Zeng Qinghong has been assisting Jiang Zemin for a long time, and belongs to the role of military adviser and court conspirator. He was also the head of a spy, and was called a "black-faced killer" by the CCP, and his methods of punishing people were extremely cruel.

"Jiang Zemin is dead, and Zeng Qinghong is in danger." Zhang Tianliang said, "Jiang and Zeng are one." Without Zeng Qinghong's plan behind it, it would be difficult for Jiang Zemin to win the inner-party struggle and consolidate power. He believes that once Jiang Zemin dies, CCP leader Xi Jinping will certainly liquidate Zeng Qinghong's forces.

Xi Jinping defuses Zeng Qinghong's counterattack

Professor Yuan Hongbing, a jurist living in Australia, also revealed to The Epoch Times on 13 December that according to information he received from insiders in the Chinese Communist Party, the reason why Xi Jinping held Jiang Zemin's funeral at a high standard was forced by Zeng Qinghong and Jiang's family.

After the "blank paper revolution" broke out, on 30 November 2022, the CCP officially announced that Jiang Zemin had died of illness. On 6 December, the authorities held a memorial service for Jiang Zemin in Beijing, and Xi Jinping read the eulogy.

Yuan Hongbing said that after Jiang's death, Zeng Qinghong organized personnel to write a eulogy and handed it over to the Xi authorities in the name of Jiang's wife Wang Yeping and son Jiang Mianheng. The eulogy read by Xi Jinping basically followed the content drafted by Zeng Qinghong, except that the words "abolish the life tenure of leading cadres" were removed.

"If the memorial service is not held according to this content, the Jiang family will ask relatives and friends to hold a personal funeral for Jiang Zemin, and there is no need for the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to bother. It was under such a threat that Xi Jinping had to make a major Frustrating compromise".

Yuan Hongbing revealed that the Jiang faction originally wanted to take advantage of Jiang Zemin's death to attack Xi Jinping, but they did not expect that Xi would make such a big concession to defuse the counterattack.

He said that according to insiders in the CCP, after the two sessions in March 2023, Xi Jinping will definitely use the name of anti-corruption to completely wipe out the remnants of Jiang Zemin's family and confiscate their incomparably rich family wealth.
