中南海防疫又出新10条 分析:清零手段不会放弃

In the afternoon of 7 December 2022, the CCP officially released 10 new measures to further optimize the epidemic prevention policy. Asymptomatic infections and mild cases are generally isolated at home, and nucleic acid testing for cross-regional migrants is no longer required. Covi-negative certificates and health codes, etc. are also not required. The analysis believes that loosening control is only a measure of interests, and it is impossible for the CCP to give up zero-covid means to control the people.

The new 10 rules for epidemic prevention have been introduced, whether it is really unblocked or not, which raises doubts

At 3 pm that day, the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council of the Communist Party of China issued a notice, promulgating 10 new measures for epidemic prevention. It is required that all localities no longer conduct nucleic acid testing for all employees by administrative region. Except for special places, it is not required to provide a negative nucleic acid test certificate, and the health code is not checked.

The 10 new measures for epidemic prevention include no longer checking negative nucleic acid test certificates and health codes for cross-regional migrants, and no longer carrying out landing inspections. Asymptomatic infected persons and mild cases who are eligible for home isolation are generally subject to home isolation.

The regulations also stated that high-risk areas should be demarcated by buildings, units, floors, and households, and should not be expanded arbitrarily. Various forms of temporary closure are not allowed, and it is strictly forbidden to block fire exits, unit doors, and community doors in various ways.

The notice also requires high-risk areas to be "quickly sealed and quickly released", and no new infections have been reported for 5 consecutive days to be unsealed in time. Non-high-risk areas will not restrict the flow of people, and willl not suspend work, production, or business.

Pharmacies are not allowed to close at will, schools without epidemics implement offline teaching, and at the same time accelerate the vaccination of the elderly against the covid virus.

After the announcement of the new 10 epidemic prevention measures, some mainland netizens lamented, "The three-year epidemic is finally coming to an end." However, some people expressed doubts about the unblocking.

Li Chengpeng, a well-known political commentator, posted on social platforms a few days ago, saying, "Some people believe that the lockdown is really lifted this time. Do you believe that the circus will suddenly become an animal protection organization?"

"Blank paper revolution" forces authorities to shift policy

The outside world generally believes that after nearly three years of strict epidemic prevention, the official policy change is due to the recent "blank paper revolution" that broke out in various parts of China, forcing the authorities to change their attitude.

On 24 November, a fire broke out in a residential building in Urumqi, Xinjiang, killing at least 10 people due to the lockdown. The incident sparked protest movements across China.

Since 26 November, the "blank paper revolution" broke out in Nanjing, Shanghai, Beijing, Wuhan, Chengdu and other big cities. Protesters held up blank papers against the policy of clearing and controlling, and the protesters shouted "Communist Party step down!" Xi Jinping step down!" shocked people at home and abroad.

The "white paper movement" quickly spread overseas. Chinese and Chinese students from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, Australia and other countries gathered to support China's resistance movement, shouting: "No nucleic acid, only freedom!" "Communist Party step down!"

The "white paper movement" has been suppressed in China, and there have been no large-scale protests for the time being but this civil uprising forced the authorities to make concessions.

However, affected by the official brainwashing propaganda, many Chinese people are afraid of the Omicron virus and dare not relax the epidemic prevention. In addition, the authorities have not completely given up on zero-covid, which will make it difficult for local governments to grasp the scale of epidemic prevention during the implementation process, and a sudden change in policy may cause new chaos.

Yokogawa, a current affairs commentator in the United States, told Radio Free Asia that the political epidemic prevention implemented by the CCP has made the current so-called "optimized prevention and control" very difficult, because "the original propaganda and measures were too extreme, so extreme that they blocked their own way." .

Yokogawa said, "All the measures are still in progress, not all places have been liberalized. The previous propaganda and political requirements did not leave room for (the CCP) to turn, even if it is such a small turn now, causing The impact is also great.”

Tang Jingyuan: The CCP will not give up dynamic clearing

Tang Jingyuan, a current affairs commentator in the United States, told NTDTV, "The relaxation of the CCP's epidemic prevention measures does not mean that the principles and basic points of the CCP's epidemic prevention have been cleared, carried out loosening, and its degree is only limited to loosening, rather than completely letting go."

Tang Jingyuan believes that the CCP has always used soft and hard methods to deal with public protests. "The CCP uses zero-covid epidemic prevention to strengthen the control of the people and strengthen the maintenance of stability. It is impossible for them to give up this method."

Tang Jingyuan said that the relaxation of epidemic prevention and control is only a temporary expedient measure for the CCP. Once the civil protests die down, the CCP is likely to repeat the same mistakes.

CCP authorities just responded! Large amount of information

Based on reports of CCTV News and Beijing Evening News, on 7 December 2022, Mi Feng, spokesperson of the National Health and Medical Commission, introduced at the press conference of the State Council's Joint Defense and Joint Control Mechanism that at present, with the weakening of the pathogenicity of the Omicron mutant strain, vaccination of CCP China's epidemic prevention and control is facing new situations and new tasks.

Today, the comprehensive team of the joint prevention and control mechanism of the State Council issued measures to further optimize the implementation of the prevention and control of the covid epidemic. Further optimization requirements have been put forward for health management, normal social operation, epidemic-related safety assurance, and school epidemic prevention and control.

Mi Feng said that these ten measures are to continuously improve the scientific and precise level of prevention and control, " In the implementation, we must resolutely correct the simplification and "one size fits all", and not increase the number of layers. For example, except for special places such as nursing homes, welfare homes, medical institutions, childcare institutions, and primary and secondary schools, no nucleic acid negative certificates will be inspected, and inspections will no longer be carried out. The health code and itinerary code will no longer be inspected for cross-regional migrants, and no landing inspection will be carried out. All localities must accurately implement the requirements."

China CDC: Every optimization of prevention and control measures is very prudent, and each optimization is adjusted according to the time and situation

At the press conference, Wang Hesheng, deputy director of the National Health Commission and director of the China CDC, introduced, "In the face of unknown and emerging infectious diseases such as the covid virus, we have continuously accumulated experience. In the past three years, we have always insisted on the supremacy of the people and the supremacy of life. , effectively dealt with more than a hundred clusters of epidemics, effectively responded to the impact of five waves of global epidemics, and kept the infection rate and death toll at the lowest level in the world, forging a great anti-epidemic spirit."

Wang Hesheng said, "In the past three years, we have successively issued nine editions of prevention and control plans and diagnosis and treatment plans, effectively coping with the uncertainty of the epidemic situation. In the past three years, we have acquired effective diagnosis and treatment technologies and drugs, and our capabilities in medical treatment, pathogen detection, and epidemiological investigation have continued to improve. We have made positive progress in vaccine development and vaccination, and the complete vaccination rate of the entire population has exceeded 90%. The anti-epidemic practice in the past three years has greatly guaranteed the safety of all people's lives, created production and living conditions and an investment and development environment to a great extent, laid a strong foundation for today's prevention and control work, and created new opportunities for further improvement of prevention and control measures and conditions."

Wang Hesheng said that in the past three years, CCP China has continuously adjusted and optimized prevention and control measures, and each optimization is very prudent. It is based on previous prevention and control practices, and in-depth research and demonstrations based on problems discovered in practice. Every optimization emphasizes being more scientific and precise, focusing on the characteristics of the virus, changes in the international and domestic situation and domestic and foreign prevention and control strategies, and adjusting according to the time and situation. Every optimization is people-centered, in order to better protect the normal health of the people. Production and living order, and better protection for key groups such as the elderly, infants and young children.

National Health Commission: Further optimization measures are to maximize the protection of people's life safety and health

At the press conference, Li Bin, Deputy Director of the National Health and Medical Commission, introduced that in the past three years of epidemic prevention and control, the Party Central Committee and the State Council have always put the lives and health of the people first, and optimized and improved prevention and control measures according to the time and situation. Nine editions of the prevention and control plan and diagnosis and treatment plan have been issued successively, and 20 optimization measures have been introduced to effectively cope with the instability of the epidemic situation with the stability of the prevention and control strategy and the flexibility of the prevention and control measures.

With large-scale vaccination and the mutation of the covi, the transmission of the virus has increased but the pathogenicity has weakened, and the overall health risks to the population tend to ease. my country's epidemic prevention and control is facing new situations and new tasks.

The previously announced 20 optimization measures were proposed based on a scientific evaluation of the implementation effects of the ninth edition of the prevention and control plan and the National Day holiday plan. After the implementation, they closely tracked the implementation effects in various regions, combined with the experience accumulated in the recent response to the epidemic in various regions and the prominent problems faced, and proposed ten targeted optimization measures.

The newly formulated ten optimization measures include the management of nucleic acid testing, covi-positive infections, and close contacts of concern to the masses, the delineation and closure of high-risk areas, the vaccination of the elderly and the guarantee of medical treatment for the masses, and the prevention and control of school epidemics and epidemic-related safety. Security and other prevention and control work has been further optimized.

In a nutshell, the ten measures can be roughly divided into two categories: one is focused optimization, which is mainly based on the characteristics of the virus and the epidemic situation, combined with the recent practical experience in responding to the epidemic in various places, further improvements to the ninth edition of the prevention and control plan and some of the twenty measures. optimization. The other type is to emphasize precision, aiming at the outstanding problems faced in the current prevention and control, especially the problems that the ninth edition and the 20 Articles are not implemented in place and inaccurate, which are strongly reflected by the masses, to be corrected, emphasizing more scientific and precise. All localities should promote the implementation in a comprehensive and integrated manner, optimize and adjust measures in accordance with the new requirements, and implement unadjusted measures in accordance with the original plan to ensure that various measures are implemented, implemented, and in place.

In general, the further optimization measures are to maximize the protection of people's life safety and health, and minimize the impact of the epidemic on economic and social development. The authorities will continue to prevent and control, research, summarize, and adjust while taking small steps, not stopping, and constantly optimize and improve prevention and control measures.

Liang Wannian: This optimization is not a complete release, but an active optimization

Compared with the twenty articles, the prevention and control measures of the "new ten articles" have been further optimized. On December 7, at the press conference of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council, Liang Wannian, head of the expert group of the National Health and Medical Commission’s Epidemic Response and Disposal Leading Group, introduced that this optimization is not a complete liberalization, but an active optimization. It is not passive, it is based on the characteristics of the main virus variant strains and the epidemic characteristics that are currently prevalent in my country, through the research and judgment of the dynamic situation of the epidemic situation, the effectiveness of the current prevention and control measures, especially the beneficial experience of local governments after the implementation of 20 Articles is sorted out and factors such as problems and existing problems are summarized, and comprehensively consider the results made.

Liang Wannian said that the optimized prevention and control measures will better adapt to the new situation of epidemic prevention and control and the new characteristics of new coronavirus mutant strains, further improve the scientificity and precision of epidemic prevention and control, and make prevention and control more operable and effective. Targeted, more efficient use of prevention and control resources, better coordination of epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, better protection of normal production and life and medical and health needs, maximum protection of people's life safety and health, and at the maximum reduce the impact of the epidemic on economic and social development.

"Insisting on taking small steps, not stopping, and actively optimizing and improving prevention and control policies is an important experience in my country's epidemic prevention and control." Liang Wannian said that at present, the pathogenicity and virulence of virus variants have been significantly weakened, and the entire population has been fully vaccinated. The rate has exceeded 90%, the health awareness and health literacy of the people have improved significantly, and my country's epidemic prevention and control is facing new situations and new tasks. This optimization is a concrete practice of putting the people at the center and putting people's life safety and health first. It is a measure for the continuous optimization of prevention and control policies. Strengthen the preparation of drugs and medical resources, further enhance the prevention and control capabilities, and provide conditions and guarantees for the continued optimization and improvement of prevention and control strategies and measures in the future to achieve the ultimate victory over the epidemic.

Awareness of resistance is awakened, Nanjing and Wuhan University protests, Lianhua Qingwen is out of stock

Reporters : Ruili and Xia Dunhou / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/12/07/a103592216.html / Image : Video Screenshot

In the past two days, protests broke out at Nanjing University of Technology and Wuhan University; The price has been fried to more than eight times. First of all, focus on the CCP’s epidemic control.

Nanjing University of Technology student: "Go home! Go home! Go home!"

On 5 December, a large-scale collective protest broke out at Nanjing University of Technology.

Online news said that Nanjing University of Technology was found to be positive during the closure of the school, which aroused dissatisfaction among students, so they rallied to protest and demanded to return home.

Nanjing University of Technology student: "Your power is given to you by the students, not by yourself."

A police car appeared at the scene of the subsequent protest, but it did not cause confusion. The students still shouted for the leader to step down.

Nanjing University of Technology student: "If you move, you will be the second Foxconn!"

Nanjing University of Technology students: "School leaders step down"

When the school proposed to hold a meeting with the students who had opinions the next day, the students called it "Hongmen Banquet".

Nanjing University of Technology: "Hongmen Banquet, Hongmen Banquet."

In the end, the school promised to solve the students' demands, and the students gradually dispersed at midnight.

On December 6, the school made some concessions and relaxed the epidemic prevention requirements. Students can directly scan their faces to enter and leave the campus. The nucleic acid test was voluntary on the same day, but they did not reply whether the students could voluntarily return to their hometowns. At the same time, relevant students were also interviewed.

The reporter dialed the number of Nanjing University of Technology, but the school said it was temporarily unable to respond.

Nanjing University of Technology staff: "You don't need to worry about asking questions. I can't answer them. Wait for the leader in charge to come back and call you back, okay? Please leave a phone number for me."

Some netizens commented that the "white paper movement" for the first time awakened the idea of Chinese college students challenging authority, at least now they finally dare to speak out, and no longer always feel that "the years are quiet" has nothing to do with them, or they just "complain in private" .

Before that, students from more than 100 colleges and universities participated in the "blank paper revolution."

However, online news said that Wuhan University, which did not participate in the "blank paper revolution", continued to close the school, and students took classes online. On-campus cooperatives are not open, and express delivery cannot be delivered. The school has been slow to respond to the dissatisfaction of the students.

On 4 December, the students finally broke out in protest.

Wuhan University student: "The process is open and the information is transparent. The process is open and the information is transparent."

Although the protesting students did not hold blank papers, they were all holding umbrellas, reminiscent of the "Umbrella Movement" in Hong Kong.

Recently, many places across the country have announced that non-essential nucleic acid testing will no longer be necessary, including Shanghai, Nanchang, Zhuhai, Chengdu, Guizhou and other places. Citizens who do not do nucleic acid "will not turn yellow." Not only that, but the CCP’s official media also reported that the virulence of Omicron has been significantly weakened, and it is close to seasonal flu, which is preventable, controllable, and curable.

Some analysts pointed out that in the past three years, the CCP has been vigorously publicizing the harm caused by the virus, which has caused the people to be very afraid of covid.

Now that China's economy has suffered a sharp decline under the impact of "zero-covid", and is even facing collapse, the CCP has no choice but to do counter-propaganda.

But the sudden turn made the people unable to react at all, and began to protect themselves. Pharmacies in Beijing and across the country began to queue up.

Mr. Zhang, a 33-year-old Beijing resident: "The epidemic situation in Chaoyang District itself is relatively serious, so it is best to prepare some medicine by yourself."

People are scrambling to buy antipyretics and cold medicines but they are unpredictable, and many people say they cannot buy them at all.

Mr. Zhang, a 33-year-old Beijing resident: "Because I came here last night, many of them are out of stock now."

The "Lianhua Qingwen Capsule", which has been touted by the official media, was once out of stock. It used to be sold for only 13-14 yuan in pharmacies, but now it has been sold for 65 yuan, while the price on the Internet has increased by 8 times.

Netizen: "Is there Lianhua Qingwen?"

A pharmacy staff member: "No stock"

Netizen: "Our largest pharmacy here is out of stock"

Netizen: "Is there Lianhua Qingwen?"

A pharmacy worker: "This is out of stock now"

Netizen: "Hey, do you have Lianhua Qingwen?"

A pharmacy staff member: "No stock"

Netizen: "There are almost no physical pharmacies in the city and they are out of stock. You can see that the lowest supply price is as high as 65 RMB, and you can't buy it. The online pharmacy on the certain website sells it. , The price of this single box has reached a shocking 118 RMB, where is your conscience, now it reminds me of those scum who had sky-high prices for masks and ear thermometers in early 2020."

The sudden liberalization of the policy has made a lot of money for online and offline pharmacies. JD Health said that in the week from 28 November to 4 December alone, the sales of antigen detection kits increased compared with the previous week 344%.

A netizen commented, "This kind of deliberate ideological paralysis of the common people will really shake the ground when the common people come to realize it."

Hefei launches "outdoor inspection" Chinese blogger calls for attention to white paper youth

After protests against the epidemic prevention policy erupted in many cities and hundreds of schools in China recently, the local government has relaxed the zero-covid policy but Hefei, Anhui, has come up with a "out-of-home inspection" , You must be screened first when you leave the community, which aroused heated discussions among netizens. In addition, Li Chengpeng, a well-known Chinese blogger, appealed to pay attention to the arrested youths with blank papers.

The white paper revolution in mainland China has spread everywhere, forcing the CCP authorities to make concessions. More than 50 cities have announced that they will no longer check nucleic acid in public places. Nucleic acid must be done first, which aroused heated discussions among netizens.

A Weibo netizen said, "It is a local characteristic to go out for inspection. How can it be so strange to go out to work?" Can’t come out” and some netizens said, “I can’t get results immediately. It’s different from working at work during the day. It’s a waste of time. There are also old people who go to queue in the morning and give the exit pass to the family. It’s really ridiculous.”

At the same time that various parts of China have different responses to the unblocking, Li Chengpeng, a famous Chinese blogger, issued an article on Sunday, calling on people to not forget those protesters holding blank papers when cheering for the unblocking. These young people were taken away, lost contact, and no one even knew their names. He also sarcastically stated that Article 2 of the CCP’s Constitution states: All power belongs to the people, but this so-called “all power” does not include the right to vote, the right to move freely, the right to apply for disclosure of officials’ property, etc. It is only the right to obey.

Xi Jinping "dynamically cleared" into a quagmire? Experts: Relax or cause mass death

习近平“清零”陷泥潭?专家:放松或致大规模死亡

The recent "blank paper revolution" in China has forced the CCP authorities to begin to loosen the control of epidemic prevention. Regime crisis and relaxation may lead to a sharp rebound of the epidemic, or 620,000 deaths.

News (12)

Expert: Relaxation could lead to mass deaths

Huang Yanzhong, a senior researcher on global health at the Council on Foreign Relations, published an article in the New York Times on December 4, pointing out that the "zero-zero" epidemic prevention policy advocated by Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping faces a difficult choice. Relaxing may lead to mass deaths, and if insisting on goes on, it will push Chinese society to collapse.

The article said that if 1/4 of the Chinese people were infected within the first six months after the government relaxed its vigilance (this ratio is consistent with the Omicron epidemic in the United States) China may eventually have 363 million people infected, about 62,000 people died, 32,000 people could be admitted to intensive care every day, and a social and political crisis could be triggered.

According to official data, in the past week, China’s daily new cases reached a record high of tens of thousands, millions of close contacts have been tracked or quarantined, and the isolation shelters in Beijing are 80% full.

Huang Yanzhong said that local governments are facing increasing public and financial pressure, and without clear guidance from the central government, there may be chaos and more infections caused by reopening in China.

The British "Financial Times" also warned on 7 December that under the pressure of protests in various places, CCP officials have begun to lift blockades and large-scale testing in the past week but during Chinese New Year, mass crowd movement could become a super-spreading event, exacerbating the outbreak and overwhelming China's healthcare system.

According to the report, by the middle of March 2023, the daily death toll in China may be as high as 20,000; by late March, the demand for intensive care units will peak at 10 times the capacity, and the number of daily hospitalizations will exceed 70,000.

Previously, researchers at Fudan University in Shanghai released a research report in May this year saying that if the Omicron variant virus is allowed to spread, nearly 1.6 million people may die within three months.

The "blank paper revolution" forced the authorities to turn

The recent "blank paper revolution" protests showed that the Chinese people's patience and support for the "clear" epidemic prevention policy is rapidly disappearing, and the protesters shouted political slogans such as "the Communist Party stepped down."

At the same time, the authorities were forced to turn around and began to loosen the control of epidemic prevention. Vice Premier Sun Chunlan, who is in charge of epidemic prevention, recently held two symposiums at the National Health Commission, both of which emphasized that the pathogenicity of the Omicron virus has weakened, and rarely mentioned "dynamic zeroing".

She also said that the prevention and control of the epidemic has entered a new stage, and a new strategy will be introduced soon. Bloomberg reported on 1 December that Sun Chunlan rarely mentioned "dynamic clearing", which shows that the Chinese government's attitude towards epidemic prevention is showing signs of softening.

Reuters quoted sources as revealing that the Chinese government may announce ten new epidemic prevention measures as early as 7 December, supplementing the "Twenty Measures for Optimizing Epidemic Prevention" issued last month.

The source also revealed that China may downgrade the new crown virus as early as early next year, and carry out prevention and control according to Class B infectious diseases.

After the "blank paper revolution" broke out, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other places have successively canceled nucleic acid screening for all employees, and most public transportation and places no longer need to check negative nucleic acid test certificates. Shandong became the first province to neither check nucleic acid nor check health codes.

The CCP’s relaxation of controls has sparked new chaos

However, the epidemic prevention measures adopted by various places show signs of chaos. The epidemic prevention policies in some cities are being relaxed, and nucleic acid certificates are still required in some places, causing people to be forced to do nucleic acid at their own expense, and it takes more time and energy, triggering a new social crisis. contradiction.

Rong Jian, an independent Chinese scholar, taunted on Twitter: "Stop the nucleic acid test, but the nucleic acid test has not stopped, what is the logic?"

Yang Jianli, the founder of the American non-governmental organization "Citizen Power", told Radio Free Asia that China is not yet ready to fully unblock, so there is a phenomenon of "stopping testing and non-stop inspections", and the chaos will continue to worsen. more and more.

He said that there are many signs that the CCP authorities tried to implement the strict epidemic prevention policy until next year's two sessions, but with the rapid spread of protests against the blockade in various places, the authorities had to lift the blockade early.

Hu Ping, an expert on China issues, tweeted a few days ago, “If you let go or not, Xi Jinping is in a dilemma. If you let go, nothing happens, nothing goes wrong, the virus is nothing more than a large flu, and the new crown pneumonia is nothing more than a self-limiting disease. Hu toss. If the epidemic breaks out and many people die once it is released, it means that clearing up is useless. No matter what kind of result occurs, it will embarrass the authorities and Xi Jinping.”

Expert: CCP’s legitimacy crisis unprecedented

专家:中共的执政合法性危机空前

After CCP leader Xi Jinping wins an unprecedented third term, will his dominance within the CCP translate into the power of the CCP’s one-party state? Now, experts say, the crisis of legitimacy for the Chinese Communist Party may be worse than ever.

Zhong Weifeng, a senior researcher at the Mercatus Center (Mercatus Center), a think tank at George Mason University in the United States, wrote an article in the Washington Examiner on Tuesday (6 December 2022), analyzing the ruling legitimacy crisis facing the CCP and its impact on Taiwan.

Zhong pointed out that unlike democracies, where voters choose their leaders, autocrats need to prove in various ways that they have the right to rule but after the 19th Party Congress, the Communist Party's authority appears to be at a loss in many ways. Conquering Taiwan will likely be Xi Jinping's only way out of his legitimacy crisis.

A common source of legitimacy for many authoritarian regimes is ideology. In the Mao era, that ideology was communism but after 40 years of market reforms, few in China still believe in the idea.

To fill the ideological void, CCP leaders have turned to nationalist sentiments, such as Xi Jinping's "Chinese Dream," which vows to achieve national rejuvenation from a century of occupation or invasion by foreign powers. Many post-Soviet states that did not become normal democracies, such as Russia, Belarus, and Azerbaijan, followed a similar path.

Zhong Weifeng said that nationalism alone does not always solve the problem. Achieving communism, if possible, requires a Communist Party in power but national identity does not require that. That is why the Chinese Communist Party needs another source of legitimacy: Performance in meeting the needs of the people.

Many observers point to China's economic growth, at least until recently, as a crucial boost to Communist Party rule but Zhong Weifeng pointed out that the legitimacy of the Communist Party of China is not limited to economic aspects. The party will also be scored in terms of trying to curb corruption, reduce inequality or control public health crises.

However, the CCP under Xi Jinping has performed poorly in these areas. Under Xi's predecessor, Hu Jintao, the economy grew by more than 10 percent a year. This year, economic growth is only one-third of that figure. While Xi Jinping may have made some progress in fighting corruption, China is still as corrupt as Jamaica, South Africa and Tunisia.

At the same time, CCP China remains one of the countries with the widest gap between rich and poor in the world. The "zero-covid" policy has cost the Chinese people a heavy price, and it has not curbed the spread of the covid epidemic.

According to Xinhua News Agency, when presiding over the Politburo meeting on the 6th, Xi Jinping said that China had achieved an "overwhelming victory" in the fight against corruption, but the work was "far from over" and would maintain strict anti-corruption measures "for a long time" to prevent issues from bouncing back.

Zhong Weifeng also analyzed that for Xi Jinping, the other two sources of the CCP’s legitimacy—elections and rules—are also collapsing. Authoritarian countries often go to great lengths to pretend they have elections and play by the rules, and Xi Jinping not only broke the rules at will at the 20th Congress but also drove out Hu Jintao in the closing ceremony of the conference.

The last part of the CCP’s legitimacy comes from its interactions with foreign countries, especially its appearance of equal status with the great powers. Before the covid pandemic, Xi Jinping made fewer international visits to developed countries than Hu Jintao. Dynamic clearing has almost stopped him from meeting in person with Western leaders entirely.

Zhong reminded policymakers in Washington to take it seriously as the Communist Party mired in a legitimacy quagmire, as peace in the Taiwan Strait could be at stake. "Now is the time to take action to help Taiwan and maintain peace in the Taiwan Strait."

Expert: Xi uses Jiang Zemin as a prop, mourning Jiang is an expedient measure

Reporter : Luo Tingting / Editor : Fan Ming / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/12/07/a103592290.html

On 6 December 2022, Xi Jinping delivered a eulogy at the memorial service of Jiang Zemin, the former leader of the Communist Party of China, and some details attracted attention. According to expert analysis, Xi Jinping is facing the impact of the "blank paper revolution". Xi's mourning for Jiang is an expedient measure. In essence, he is using Jiang as a prop and acting for the party to tide over the crisis.

At 10 am, Jiang Zemin's memorial service was held in the Great Hall of Beijing. The layout, process and specifications of the venue were exactly the same as the memorial service of Deng Xiaoping, the former leader of the Communist Party of China in 1997.

The leader of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping, read a eulogy about 50 minutes long at the memorial service, saying that Jiang Zemin is "recognized by the whole party, the army, and the people of all ethnic groups in the country as an outstanding leader with high prestige, a great Marxist, and a great proletarian revolutionist." , statesman, military strategist, diplomat, a proven communist fighter, and an outstanding leader of the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics."

The outside world has noticed that this statement is also similar to Deng Xiaoping's eulogy, except that Jiang Zemin wiped his tears many times when he read it, while Xi Jinping's tone was very stable, and he blinked frequently while reading the manuscript, without tears during the whole process.

Tao Yifen, an associate professor at the Department of Political Science at National Taiwan University, believes that it may be expedient for Xi Jinping to mourn Jiang Zemin, because it is a sensitive moment of the "blank paper revolution" and the authorities use mourning for Jiang to avoid resurgence of public grievances and expansion of incidents.

Tao Yifen told VOA: "When the news of Jiang Zemin's death spread, it happened to be the time when the White Paper Movement was at its peak, so he (Xi Jinping) was very careful to ask the party's own high-level officials to commemorate Jiang Zemin. In the name of the epidemic, commemorative activities at other levels should be reduced as much as possible.”

However, Xi Jinping emphasized in his eulogy that we must strengthen the "four consciousnesses", strengthen the "four self-confidence", and achieve "two safeguards". We all know that these terms of the CCP point to maintaining Xi Jinping’s power.

Some scholars believe that Xi Jinping's mourning for Jiang is just acting for the party to see, and he is just using Jiang Zemin as a prop to get through the current crisis.

Lin Song, a senior Australian media professional and doctor of political science, told The Epoch Times on December 6 that according to the habit of the Communist Party, except for former leaders such as Liu Shaoqi and Lin Biao who have been clearly criticized, they will basically maintain superficial respect for their predecessors. respect. For example, after Deng Xiaoping came back to power, he still praised Mao Zedong who purges him.

Lin Song believed that Xi Jinping's mourning for Jiang Zemin was "just a play for everyone to see." The purpose is to appease the various factions within the CCP and stabilize the overall situation.

Zheng Xuguang, a scholar in the United States and an expert on China issues, said that the death of Jiang Zemin became a card for Xi Jinping to overcome the crisis of the epidemic eradication policy. Xi used Jiang as a prop, and made a big fuss about Jiang's funeral, tossing back and forth.

"First at the hospital in Shanghai, the local cadres bid farewell to Jiang once, and Cai Qi went to 'escrow' him to Beijing. Jiang's body was transported from (Shanghai) Hongqiao Airport to (Beijing) Xijiao Airport, and then placed in the People's Liberation Army General Hospital, and then go to Babaoshan, which means that his body has to say goodbye several times. This is a very strange action, I think Jiang’s family may be very unhappy, (Xi) treats him (Jiang) like a prop.” Zheng Xuguang Tell The Epoch Times.

He said, "Mao Zedong's body must not be buried in the ground, and Jiang's body was tossed one after another." Xi Jinping should have done this deliberately. With 6 days of mourning activities, the news of the White Paper Movement was suppressed.

However, Tao Yifen, a scholar in Taipei, told VOA that in the future, it is still necessary to observe the CCP government’s efforts to relax the epidemic prevention. If it does not meet people’s expectations, it is not impossible for the "blank paper revolution" to resume.

At present, Beijing and other places have canceled many nucleic acid testing points but people still need to show nucleic acid certificates in many places when they go out to do errands, causing chaos.

Jiang Zemin died, and many Chinese people and overseas Chinese clapped their hands and cheered. Both Jiang and his biological father were traitors. He sold a large area of land to Russia. In order to launch the persecution of Falun Gong practice groups, he used public opinion tools to propagate falsehoods, undermine the legal system, advocate pornography and corruption, and destroy traditional Chinese culture. into a dangerous situation.

The Epoch Times feature article "Jiang Zemin Is Dead" pointed out that Jiang Zemin's life was a shameful life. Jiang Zemin's administration has brought disaster to the country and the people. Corruption is rampant. The persecution of Falun Gong has created eternal injustices and committed heinous crimes against the Chinese people, the Chinese nation and the world. Jiang Zemin is a sinner of the nation and history, and his crimes must be judged and liquidated by history.

Students of Nanjing University of Technology put forward several demands, including not accepting large-scale gatherings to do nucleic acid, not accepting the resumption of physical classes on the 7th, postponement of exams, and allowing students to return home as soon as possible. Police cars appeared on the campus that night, but the students did not leave because of this, and shouted to the school.

A student from Nanjing University of Technology: "Don't do it! You will change if you do it, let me tell you! You will be Foxconn tomorrow, and you will be the second Foxconn!"

Jiang Zemin's death was infighting, and the time of his death was highly sensitive. Expert: Weird

The news of Jiang Zemin's death coincided with the outbreak of the "blank paper revolution" in mainland China, causing suspicion from all walks of life. In Xi Jinping's eulogy on the 6th, he rarely mentioned the 8964 student movement. Analysis believes that Xi Jinping has other intentions when talking about this topic.

At the end of November, "blank paper revolutions" exploded in spots all over China. Just a few days later, the news of the death of Xi Jinping's biggest political enemy, Shanghai Gang boss Jiang Zemin, was released. Many people questioned that the timing was too coincidental.

"The Epoch Times" editor-in-chief Guo Jun: "The timing of Jiang Zemin's death is very sensitive, because it is a very tense moment for Beijing."

For more than a year, Jiang Zemin has been absent from all important activities and meetings of the CCP. Guo Jun believes that Jiang Zemin is over 90 years old and has relied on drugs and equipment to maintain his vital signs for many years. The difference between life and death lies in the time of extubation.

Guo Jun: "Then let's think about it again, who can decide when these machines are turned on and when they are turned off? At this sensitive moment, these issues are very evocative."

Guo Jun pointed out that when civil protests are rampant, what the CCP authorities are most afraid of is that political opponents use the power of civil protests to attack the highest level.

Guo Jun: "Because in the struggle within the party, political opponents are likely to use civil protests to launch criticism and even seize power. This is the most worrying and worrying thing at the top of the CCP, so the timing of Jiang Zemin's death is indeed very important. Sensitive. Even if he (Jiang) does nothing himself, Xi Jinping’s political opponents are likely to use his (Jiang) name to do something, especially at this sensitive time.”

Jiang Zemin's memorial meeting was held on the 6th. When Xi Jinping delivered the eulogy, he rarely mentioned the 8964 student movement, and said that Jiang Zemin played an important role in the so-called stabilization of the CCP regime. According to the analysis, this is Xi Jinping once again clearly pointing out that Jiang Zemin's bloody suppression of students' fortunes and blood debts.

Protesters in Shanghai: "The Communist Party steps down!"

Chinese artist Tong Yimin analyzed this. Jiang Zemin stood with the central government to suppress the student unrest. At present, among the "blank paper" protesters, they shouted slogans such as "Communist Party step down" and "Xi Jinping step down." Xi may be worried about a larger-scale protest, so intimidate the populace.

However, experts believe that the large-scale suppression during June 4th may not be effective today. Until the extreme anti-epidemic policies that led to the outbreak of protests are completely abandoned, public grievances will continue to accumulate. Protests that erupt in multiple locations at anytime and anywhere also make it difficult for the CCP to concentrate on suppressing them.

Zhang Tianliang, a historian and cultural scholar who is an expert on China: "We must see that it is precisely this kind of struggle without organization and leadership that may be more protracted. Xi Jinping's fatal advantage is that he can concentrate all the power of the country to suppress or Blockade, but this is precisely his Achilles' heel, why? It is because he has no way to use concentrated power to face the protests scattered across the country."

Zhang Tianliang pointed out that the protests in China are ideological battles. The communist ideology, which has been proven to be a failure in Europe, cannot succeed in China, and the White Paper Movement has already sounded the death knell of the CCP.

Protesters in Chengdu: "Don't be dictatorship, but democracy!"

At Jiang Zemin's Memorial Service, Xi Jinping says "Not afraid of ghosts"

The memorial service for former CCP leader Jiang Zemin was held on 6 December 2022. When Xi Jinping delivered his eulogy, he rarely mentioned "not believing in evil, not afraid of ghosts, and not afraid of oppression." Some analysts believe that Xi Jinping is flattering Jiang Zemin on the surface, but in fact he is constantly purging his faction.

When Xi Jinping delivered the eulogy that day, the first half was the final conclusion for Jiang Zemin. But in the second half, Xi Jinping once again emphasized "dare to fight and dare to win." He also said, "Don't believe in evil, don't be afraid of ghosts, and don't be afraid of oppression, and do your best to overcome all difficulties and challenges on the way forward."

Xi was reading an eulogy

In this regard, Chen Pokong, a Chinese writer and political commentator based in the United States, said that Xi Jinping is more like reading a eulogy than delivering a eulogy.

Chen Pokong analyzed in his program "Chen Pokong Discusses the World" that this eulogy has traces of Xi Jinping's "personally directing and personally revising", and the entire content does not look like a eulogy. Some of the previous paragraphs pretend to talk about Jiang Zemin's "great achievements", but the larger section in the latter part is about the Xi Jinping era. They talked about the four consciousnesses, the four self-confidence, and the two safeguards, etc., and even said some words that fit Xi Jinping's personal characteristics, such as "don't believe in evil, don't be afraid of ghosts, and don't be afraid of oppression" and so on.

Chen Pokong said that when Xi Jinping said he was not afraid of ghosts, he seemed to be saying that he was not afraid of dead political elders like Jiang Zemin; When trapped in international isolation, it is not afraid of pressure.

Chen Pokong believes that Xi Jinping's "three fears" actually happened to deal with another group of people in China, that is, those who participated in the "blank paper revolution" as head. They are not afraid of the suppression of the authorities, the monsters like the Communist Party, or the evil path and ultra-left line of the Communist Party.

Recently, the "blank paper revolution" broke out across China. Protesters held blank papers to protest the authorities' strict epidemic control, and even shouted slogans such as "the Communist Party stepped down." The "blank paper revolution" is currently gaining support from overseas Chinese in many countries.

Current affairs commentator Yue Shan told NTDTV on the 7th, "Xi Jinping is indeed facing enormous pressure from domestic and foreign parties. During the domestic struggle, some people publicly shouted the slogan of Xi and the CCP stepping down. In the CCP, the fierce power struggle will not disappear. So he made great efforts to organize Jiang's funeral, on the one hand, to put on a show, so that the party has nothing to say, on the other hand, he also hopes to use this to warn opponents. And more importantly, he wants to highlight his power."

As for Xi Jinping's evaluation of Jiang Zemin, political commentator Wang He told NTDTV on the 7th, "In order to protect the party, Xi Jinping is flattering Jiang Zemin on the surface, but in fact he is constantly cleaning his political influence."

Wang He said, "Xi Jinping is actually adopting the method of 'abstract affirmation, concrete negation' towards Jiang Zemin. Suppress."

Wang He believes, "What Xi Jinping is doing now is to disrupt all the factions in the past. After he wiped out the Tuan faction, he also cleared out all the Jiang faction. Zhao Leji and Wang Huning who are currently in the Politburo are only half Jiang faction figures are not as hardcore Jiang faction as Zhou Yongkang. In fact, there are no real Jiang faction figures in the Politburo."
