From New Year’s Eve to the first day of the Lunar New Year, the CCP’s military aircraft and warships continued to harass the surrounding area of Taiwan. On 22 January 2023, the Republic of China (Taiwan) President Tsai Ing-wen, expressed comfort to the defense forces left behind, thanking the officers and soldiers for protecting the country's security.

The Gendarmerie is fully armed, with a row of Clouded Leopard armored vehicles. This is the 239th Battalion of the Gendarmerie, which guards the centre of Taipei. President Tsai Ing-wen, President of the Republic of China, awarded food bonuses on the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year (22nd) to thank the officers and soldiers who stayed behind on duty during the Chinese New Year holidays and safeguard national security, "In the future, we will maintain a high standard and prepare for combat training, so that the people will have more confidence in the combat power of the national army."

Tsai Ing-wen: "The 239th Battalion is the only armored unit of the military police, and it is also an important garrison force for the capital. On behalf of the people of the country, I want to thank the officers and soldiers who stay behind on duty during the Chinese New Year. During the rest time, be sure to call to greet your family and send your family New Year greetings."

On the New Year's Eve on 20 January, leaders from both sides of the Taiwan Strait delivered New Year's speeches to the public. Xi Jinping said in his New Year greetings that the so-called "resolutely carry out major struggles against separatism and interference, and firmly grasp the initiative in cross-strait relations" was interpreted as a warning to the United States and other countries that support Taiwan. President Tsai Ing-wen spoke in New Year's greetings and did not back down. Faced with the invasion of Taiwan by the CCP's military planes and warships, she reiterated that she will firmly maintain peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait and the region, fight for the economy, defend sovereignty, and protect peace.

Taiwan's Air Force Air Defense Missile Force keeps on preparing for the new year. It conducts combat readiness drills through imaginary targets. After receiving the order, it immediately enters the tactical position. The launcher of the Tiangong-3 missile defense system is quickly deployed and enters the launch procedure.

The Ministry of National Defense stated that in the 24 hours since 6:00 a.m. on New Year's Eve on the 21st, 10 sorties of CCP military aircraft and 4 CCP military ships were detected to continue to operate around the Taiwan Strait; they did not cross the central line of the Taiwan Strait or the southwest airspace.

Major Zhong, the company commander of the Air Force Air Defense and Missile Command, said: "All the officers and men of the company adhere to the principle of no holidays for combat readiness, and follow the principles of preparing for war, not seeking war, and responding to war, not avoiding war, to strengthen vigilance and closely monitor the enemy's situation."

The officers and soldiers said that the Joint Air Operations Command Center (JAOC) is responsible for tracking and monitoring enemy aircraft targets that are trying to approach the airspace, and the officers and soldiers of the entire company stick to their posts 24 hours a day.

[Pinnacle View - Highlights] The treasury has been emptied, and the grassroots of the CCP is disintegrating

Today’s focus: The CCP’s finances are exhausted and there is no money to support the local government; the common people have no money, and 2% of the people account for 80% of the wealth; Ma Yun will not go to Davos to raise pigs; Liu He Bowing to seek foreign capital, the CCP reappeared signs of defeat in the late Ming Dynasty.

The CCP's "prosperous and powerful country" is all blown out by fake and empty party media. The central government's finances have dried up, and the local government is even more in debt. Class hands cannot spend. With no money to support them, the grassroots organizations that the CCP relies on are disintegrating, and the stability maintenance police have also begun to lie flat. The CCP, which has always been arrogant and ostentatious, has also begun to bow its head and beg for foreign investment everywhere, trying to continue to find another home to give it blood transfusions, lingering on its last days.

Putting up a "BNO"? Hong Kong Garrison's New Year's video clip ridiculed

摆阵摆出个“BNO”?驻港部队贺岁短片被讥讽

On New Year’s Eve, the traditional Chinese New Year, the troops stationed in Hong Kong by the CCP’s military released a video celebrating the new year. In the film, under the pattern of soldiers and military vehicles, the word "BNO" suddenly appeared, which is exactly the same as the abbreviation of the overseas national passport issued by the British government to Hong Kong people. It immediately became a joke among Hong Kong netizens.

In the evening of 21 January, the official Weibo account of the Communist Army Garrison in Hong Kong uploaded a short film celebrating the New Year. It can be seen from the film that hundreds of soldiers participating in the performance lined up with rifles and formed a large graphic array with 28 military vehicles. The upper part is displayed as the number "2023"; the lower part shows the head of a rabbit And the words "B No.1". According to the official explanation, this group of characters is intended to use homonyms to express "To be number one".

Image : Video screenshot

However, because the "B" and "No" on the pattern have the same tone and are more conspicuous, at first glance it feels more like a combination of "BNO", which is exactly the same as the "British Nationals (Overseas)" issued by the British government to Hong Kong people in the early years. The British National (Overseas) passport” has the same English abbreviation, which unexpectedly sparked a crowd of Hong Kong netizens and heated discussions.

Netizens in Hong Kong left messages to ridicule this: Some joked, "I thought it would be the number one BNO in 2023";

BNO passports are now a politically charged topic in Hong Kong. The main reason is that after the CCP enforced the so-called "Hong Kong National Security Law" in Hong Kong, the British government issued a statement on 1 January 2020 condemning the CCP's move as a serious violation of the "Sino-British Joint Declaration", which stated that the CCP's regulations on Hong Kong's current social, economic system and life Way 50 year unchanged commitment.

As one of the ways to counter the CCP, the British government announced at the time that from January 2021, all Hong Kong people and their family members who are eligible to apply for a BNO passport will be able to live, study or work in the UK. You can apply for indefinite residence, and you can register as a British citizen after living for another 12 months.

At the same time, the CCP officially announced that from 31 January 2021, the governments of mainland China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will no longer recognize BNO passports as valid travel documents and identity proofs.

On the first day of the new year, the downstream of the Yellow River dam suddenly swelled and washed away tourists. Officials denied releasing the water

年初一黄河大坝下游突涨水冲走游客 官方否认放水

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, the scenic spots below the Sanmenxia Dam on the Yellow River suddenly swelled, washing away many tourists. Officials hurriedly "refuted the rumor" that the Sanmenxia Dam "did not release water", and the public questioned where the water came from.

According to mainland media reports, after 4 pm local time on the first day of the Lunar New Year (22 January 2023), the water level of the river beach downstream of the Sanmenxia Dam in Henan Province suddenly rose rapidly, and many tourists who were taking pictures on the stones in the middle of the river were washed away by the flood. Only some tourists who were closer to the shore were rescued by chance.

A large number of videos posted on the Internet showed that many tourists were washed away by the rapids, and tourists on the shore were helpless.

Witnesses said that the location of the incident was a well-known photo spot downstream of the Sanmenxia Dam, which is an Internet celebrity spot. This place is only about one to two kilometers away from the Dam Scenic Area. It is about 40 km away from downtown Sanmenxia. It was the first day of the new year, and many citizens came here to play. At around 4:10 p.m., the river suddenly rose, and many people were washed away by the river before they could run back to the bank.

A person who witnessed it said that the river rose 1.8 meters within 6 minutes, and it was very difficult for him to swim back to the shore.

Sanmenxia officials announced that the accident had killed two people and seven others were missing.

The mainland media report only emphasized that tourists ignored the warning signs on the shore and illegally entered the water to take pictures, but did not explain why the river next to the Sanmenxia Dam suddenly swelled.

In one video, a tourist on the shore clearly mentioned: "What to do, the water was suddenly released just now." Some videos are directly marked with subtitles, "The Yellow River dam is full of water, and people are washed away."

However, the staff of the Sanmenxia Water Conservancy Project Management Bureau quickly "dispelled the rumors" and said, "It was not the Yellow River dam that released the water at that time, and the specific situation will have to wait for the official notification."

However, according to mainland media reports, the weather was fine and there was no rain that day. It is difficult to give other reasonable explanations except that the dam released water without warning.

Department of Justice raids Biden home, finds more classified documents

Reporters : Yan Feng and Lin Mingdi / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/01/22/a103631715.html

In the evening of Saturday (21 January 2023), a lawyer for US President Joe Biden stated that the Department of Justice searched again on Friday President Joe Biden’s house in Will, Delaware. Minton's residence, where six other items were found, including documents marked as classified.

Biden's attorney, Bob Ball, said in a statement that some of the classified documents and "peripheral material" were from Biden's tenure in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009, and other documents were from Biden's vice president from 2009 to 2017.

The Justice Department search spanned more than 12 hours and also took some of Biden's handwritten notes as vice president. Biden and his wife were not present at the time of the search.

Bauer did not specify exactly where the documents were found, saying only that the president had provided "access to his home so that the Justice Department can conduct a search of the entire premises."

According to public information, this search is the first time that federal law enforcement agencies have searched for government documents at Biden's private residence. Earlier, Biden's lawyers discovered some classified documents in the presidential family library and Biden's central office in Washington.
