Chinese students studying in South Korea: "But (in China) we can't see such data, and even you (the CCP) have no sense of responsibility for the health of the people. Has the covi strain mutated, and what happened? There is no monitoring and testing. Such things should be done, but they are not done. This is the incompetence of the government.”

The large Chinese restaurant "Pearl of the Orient" in Songpa District, South Korea was suspected of being a secret police station illegally operated by the Chinese Communist Party in South Korea. The international students who participated in the protest said that South Korea is very close to China, so there are many CCP monitoring organizations, and the most noteworthy one is the All-Korean Scholars Association, referred to as "Students' Federation".

Communist verbal threats against South Korean Chinese students' activities

Chinese students studying in South Korea: "Of course they say they are helping Chinese students in name, but what are they actually doing? It may be monitoring. When we went to Hongdae to hold an event, some people reported in the group of the Federation of Students that there have been such things as verbal threats against our activities. If public organizations like the Student Union are not banned, Chinese students studying in Korea will not dare to speak out after that.”

Beginning at the end of November 2022, the fire in Urumqi triggered spontaneous gatherings of people in many parts of China to protest the CCP’s inhumane epidemic containment policy, holding a blank paper and shouting “Communist Party step down”. This "white paper movement" has also extended overseas, and Korean Chinese and overseas students continue to support the people of mainland China.

日本民众谴责中共放开出境 “不负责任”

When the covid epidemic broke out across the country, the Chinese Communist Party authorities announced the liberalization of outbound travel. The Japanese public condemned the CCP's actions as "irresponsible" and "immoral".

On 26 December 2022, the National Health Commission of the Communist Party of China stated that starting from 8 January 2023, the upper limit on the number of international flights entering and leaving China will be lifted, and restrictions on outbound travel will also be lifted.

Within minutes of the announcement, Chinese online travel agencies' searches for international air tickets and visas for going abroad increased several times, with popular destinations being Japan, South Korea and Thailand.

According to China Daily, the state-run media of the Communist Party of China, the most searched destinations for outbound flights are mainly Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul, Los Angeles and Singapore.

Beijing's attitude of resuming outbound tourism is "irresponsible"

Tokyo resident Mizobe Hgasi told The Epoch Times on Dec. 31 that China's unlimited reopening of international travel is "terrible" and "immoral."

He said that this approach is the same as when the CCP deliberately covered up the situation of the new crown epidemic in Wuhan and allowed the virus to spread from Wuhan to other countries.

Misuzu Amano, a calligraphy teacher from Saitama Prefecture, Japan, urged the Japanese government to "close the border to protect the safety of Japanese citizens" and avoid "unimaginable consequences".

"There is an old saying in China: 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.' Why did a large number of people (deliberately) allow a large number of people to travel abroad when a major epidemic occurred in China (China)?" Misuzu Amano was interviewed by The Epoch Times on 31 December. Sometimes he was puzzled by the CCP's actions.

On December 31, Japanese current affairs commentator Kiyokawa Miyashita said in an interview with The Epoch Times that Beijing's attitude of resuming outbound tourism is "irresponsible".

"The scary thing is that (Chinese) are in a rush to buy goods (abroad) because most of the products made in mainland China, especially food and medicine, are of poor quality due to lax oversight by the CCP," Kiyokawa said.

"Now, as the Chinese are snapping up (drugs) abroad, there will be shortages of basic over-the-counter medicines around the world. It's like the global shortage of baby formula back then. When the Chinese didn't trust Chinese-made milk powder, they bought it in bulk abroad."

Miyashita Kiyokawa believes that most people no longer trust the CCP because of its lack of transparency, especially its concealment of the covid outbreak in Wuhan at the end of 2019.

Japan and other countries tighten border controls on Chinese arrivals

On 27 December 2022, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced that starting from midnight on .30 December 30, passengers from mainland China must present a negative nucleic acid test report upon arrival.

Kishida said it is difficult to grasp the real situation of the epidemic in China, "because the infection information varies between the Chinese Communist Party's central government and local governments."

Kishida said that the new restrictions are not to prevent international travel, but to prevent the covi spread in (Japan).

Japan is one of the latest countries to tighten border controls for travellers from mainland China.

Other countries, including the U.S., UK, Australia, Canada, France, India, Italy, South Korea, Spain, Malaysia and Qatar, have tightened border controls for tourists from China.

Morocco has banned all arrivals from China, regardless of nationality and Belgium said it would test wastewater from Chinese planes for the new covi variant.

Children in many places in China are infected with the epidemic, and a baby is critically ill with "white lung" 5 days after birth

During this round of the epidemic in China, many young people and children were infected and became seriously ill. A few days ago, it was reported on the Internet that a 5-day-old baby in the city of Hengyang, Hunan Province tested positive and developed "white lung", and was notified by the hospital that he was in critical condition.

A video posted on China’s Weibo showed that local netizens broke the news that on 29 December 2022, a 5-day-old baby in Hengyang, Hunan Province detected that 1/3 of the right lung had become a “white lung”. A critical illness notification was issued.

The baby's antigen test was covi-positive, confirming the infection. On 1 January 2023, the family inquired that the child's lumbar puncture examination was "no abnormality". Netizens followed up one after another, wishing the child to pass this level.

When the CCP "laid down to fight against the epidemic" in December 2022, it declared that this round of epidemic mainly threatened the elderly with underlying diseases. However, when the outbreak of the epidemic in Beijing first broke out, there was a medical run on the children's hospital, and some doctors and nurses revealed that many children died.

Nowadays, epidemics are breaking out in various parts of the country, and children are also infected in various places. Several cases of children dying from the virus have also been reported on the Internet.

There is a video (link) showing parents of Chongqing Children's Hospital scrambling to rush into the hospital, allegedly to see a child with a fever.

In addition, there are also videos of children or babies struggling with high fevers on the Internet (Link 1, Link 2Link 3 ).

In the Year of the Black Rabbit, the CCP regime faces five major changes

Report : Zhong Yuan / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/01/03/a103615795.htmlImage : On 1 January 2023, a rabbit-shaped sculpture in the early morning in Handan, Hebei. (Hao Qunying/VCG via Getty Images)

钟原:黑兔年中共政权面临五大变数

Chinese people usher in the new year with anxiety, and the top leaders of the CCP should be equally uneasy. There are enough variables in the year of the black rabbit in 2023.

Variables in the "National Drug Testing" Experiment

On 7 December 2022, the CCP announced the relaxation of "dynamic clearing", and the top CCP and officials from all over the country collectively "lay down". The more and more incomplete epidemic figures are really hard to see. More than two weeks later, on 24 December 2022, the National Health Commission of the Communist Party of China also officially "laid down" and no longer released the epidemic data. Let the WHO continue to shout, and the CCP simply does not respond.

Of course, people hope to pass the peak of the epidemic as soon as possible, and even since there will be no second, third or more peaks, the top leaders of the CCP are also waiting to declare "victory" in the fight against the epidemic. However, no one knows how the epidemic will develop next.

Hospitals everywhere are still overcrowded. The beds of severely infected patients are placed in the corridors, without any isolation and protective measures, and there is no negative pressure ward; the infected doctor is dragging the hanging bottle to see the doctor, and the coughing nurse is still giving the patient an injection... The hospital has become the most dangerous Infected places, but people are still flocking to. Different mutated viruses gather here, and cross-infection has spawned new mutated viruses, but the leaders of the CCP told the common people, "Keep working harder, persistence is victory."

When the "victory" will come, it seems that the virus has the final say, and no one can say. The CCP is conducting another big gambling-like experiment, using the people of the whole of China to test the virus and test all possible new variants of the virus.

The CCP once conducted a domestic vaccine test with all Chinese people, and those who did not experience too many side effects were considered lucky. After the failure of the vaccine test, the people lacking immunity went through a long "clearing" closed test. After the failure of the "zero-covid" experiment, the CCP did the opposite, ordering all the Chinese people who lacked immunity to conduct a drug experiment.

The CCP is waiting to announce the "victory" of the latest big experiment. Many Chinese people may not realize that the CCP has turned everyone into an experimenter, and the shadow of death hangs over the entire test site in mainland China. After watching the CCP’s “clearing” farce, the whole world watched the CCP’s absurd drug test farce even more anxiously, and imposed epidemic prevention restrictions on tourists from China, for fear that the CCP’s testing grounds would extend to their own countries.

The CCP’s drug test has become the biggest variable in 2023. It is an unpredictable variable for the Chinese people and all countries in the world, and it is also a variable for the CCP regime. If the big experiment cannot be completed after two months, what is the CCP's plan? Will the two sessions be held or not?

Variables in the CCP’s power transfer

The CCP has decided to hold the Two Sessions in early March. Among the new members of the Politburo Standing Committee, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, and Ding Xuexiang should be anxiously waiting to formally take over as Premier of the State Council, Chairman of the National People’s Congress, Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and First Vice Premier of the State Council.

Xi Jinping himself also needs to be re-elected as the president of the country, and the candidate for the vice president seems to be still a mystery. The position of State Councilor of the State Council of the Communist Party of China will also be replaced; Wang Xiaohong should replace Zhao Kezhi and occupy a seat; the position vacated by Wang Yi will not be available to the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China, Qin Gang.

Some local officials have already been in place, but after the two sessions, they should finally be in place. The heads of various ministries and commissions in the central government are going to be replaced, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already taken the lead, but more successors have to wait another two months.

The epidemic in early March cannot be predicted. If the peak comes again, the CCP will be in a dilemma whether to postpone the two sessions. If the two sessions are postponed until the summer, as in 2020, the CCP’s top leaders will not be able to complete the power transfer as scheduled. If you insist on holding the meeting as scheduled, it will be a trivial matter for people on the rostrum to wear masks, and it will be very dangerous for Beijing to be tested by mutant virus testers from all over the world. Various mutant viruses have another rare opportunity to cross-mutate, and then they are brought back to various provinces and cities. Will the CCP continue to promote new virus experiments?

People certainly hope that the epidemic will slow down in early March, or even earlier. Even if the two sessions of the CCP can be held normally, it depends on whether the senior CCP officials are healthy. I can't hide it anymore. If someone got hit or even lay down during the meeting, it would probably be big news.

After the 20th National Congress, the top leaders of the Communist Party of China may not have anticipated the changes in the two sessions in 2023. Perhaps Li Qiang should have been added as vice premier earlier. Li Qiang looks forward to succeeding Li Keqiang as scheduled and healthy, but even greater variables are waiting for him.

Whether the economy can be stabilized

In 2022, the two sessions of the Communist Party of China set a goal of 5.5% GDP growth, but after the end of the second quarter, it has already failed. Li Keqiang's "stabilizing the economic market" also unfortunately died, and now he probably has said nothing.

After Li Qiang officially took over, how to determine the target for 2023 has become a big problem. He does not know if he dares to continue to set a growth target of 5.5%. It's embarrassing.

Beyond the problem of target setting, the real problem is whether China's economic downturn can be prevented. Of course, the CCP will not admit that the economy has fallen into recession, but the consequences of the "zero-covid" experiment are obvious to all, and now it has begun to relax the "dynamic clearing" drug test. Many factories have already closed their holidays early, but it is unknown how many factories will be able to resume normal operation after the Lunar New Year.

In the second half of 2022, China's export orders have been greatly reduced. In 2023, the economies of Western countries are not optimistic. Even if the U.S. economy does not decline, China's export business will hardly improve. If countries fail to stop the mutant virus exported by the CCP, the economic prospects will be even more unpredictable.

China's real estate industry has already stopped. In such a situation, it is completely unrealistic to expect ordinary people to buy, stockpile, or speculate in large numbers.

Private enterprises have been tossed miserably by the CCP, and more and more people have been suddenly laid off on the Internet. The Economic Work Conference of the Communist Party of China once again mentioned "reform and opening up" and "supporting private enterprises". It is estimated that there will not be many private entrepreneurs. No one wants to show off their wealth at this time and wait to be slaughtered. Many private enterprises were originally the white gloves of the CCP’s elite. The enterprises supported by the retired senior officials sent by Jiang and Zeng were probably forced to die down, or had to accept "common prosperity"; there will be more and more examples of Jack Ma living in Japan.

The CCP cannot rely on state-owned enterprises to support the "internal circulation" of the economy. Li Qiang may be able to stimulate another trillions of investment but no one knows how effective it will be, nor who will eventually fill the big hole in debt.

Xi Jinping has repeatedly asked the Politburo, Politburo Standing Committee members, and members of the Central Committee to "overcome the panic of competence"; in 2023, a large number of officials who need to "make up for knowledge deficiencies, weak capabilities, and weak experience" will become the CCP's national, deputy state, and provincial officials. For ministerial-level officials, the variables of whether China's economy can be stabilized are large enough. People whose lives are becoming more and more difficult can't help worrying, and probably can only pray for God's blessing. The newly appointed senior CCP officials may not be capable enough, but they are not necessarily without ambition.

Variables in the CCP’s Infighting

Xi Jinping never forgot to mention Jiang Zemin's death at the CCP's New Year's tea party and in his New Year's greetings, deliberately declaring repeatedly that the Jiang and Zeng factions are no longer in good standing. Zhao Leji and Wang Huning probably did not dare to make any waves. The Politburo and Central Committee members should no longer have Jiang and Zeng's hardcore members. It seems that the Xi camp no longer has to worry about threats on the table. However, Zeng Qinghong and his gang are used to spreading rumours to disrupt the situation. It is hard to say whether they will use the slogans "Communist Party step down" and "Xi Jinping step down" to produce a long article similar to "Objective Evaluation of Xi Jinping" to point the finger at Xi Jinping.

The Tuan faction has all been eliminated, Li Keqiang may not be in the mood to make a final struggle, and it will be difficult for Hu Jintao to show up. However, at the Politburo life meeting from December 26th to 27th, Xi Jinping still emphasized "resolutely safeguarding the authority of the Party Central Committee"; Absolutely loyal."

These words should be mainly aimed at people inside the Xi camp. Xi Jinping was re-elected successfully, but he cannot live forever, maybe one day he will lie down or die; it seems that who should succeed him has not been determined, and no one dares to mention this matter publicly but there is no guarantee that no one will think about it. The important ministers and close ministers around Xi Jinping may not dare to secretly prepare dragon robes at home, but it cannot be ruled out that some people fantasize about reaching the top.

Among the members of the Politburo Standing Committee, Zhao Leji and Wang Huning may not dare to dream, but Li Qiang, Ding Xuexiang, Cai Qi, and Li Xi are not the same. Other members of the Politburo cannot rule out daydreaming. With the decline of the Jiang and Zeng factions and the decline of the Tuan faction, the competition within the Xi camp may become the main theme of the CCP's internal struggle. In order to compete for potential successors, new factional disputes may be triggered.

Many people inside the CCP should have also seen that major changes will come at any time. Although Xi Jinping is re-elected, whether he can really manage the sudden changes depends on the party. When the wind and rain are precarious, it is not ruled out that someone will take advantage of the situation to disrupt the situation or initiate troubles in order to replace Xi Jinping; there may even be people who wait for the changes in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe and regard the fall of the CCP as a stepping stone to advancement. I am afraid that these variables are tacitly understood by the top leaders of the CCP, and they are likely to be wary of each other.

The fact that the Xi camp has taken full power does not mean that the internal struggle is over. Under the new situation, there are more variables in the internal struggle of the CCP. There are variables inside the CCP, and the outside world is also full of variables.

Variables in the external environment

On 31 December 2022, the CCP's "Seeking Truth" magazine published Xi Jinping's speech at the First Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee on 23 October 2022. The article stated that "risks and challenges from the outside have always existed and become increasingly prominent"; "uncertainty and unpredictable factors have increased";

After the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the leaders of the CCP participated in the G20 summit, trying to show the United States and the West a stance of softening, but failed to change the state of isolation. Recently, the CCP has once again escalated the situation in the Taiwan Strait and directly launched military provocations against the United States and Japan, which has further deteriorated Sino-US relations and continued to decline in Sino-Japanese relations. On 30 December 2022, the video conference between Xi Jinping and Putin should be a move to get what they want, but it sent another bad signal to Europe.

Western countries have to be wary of the CCP’s desperation in the Taiwan Strait, and even direct conflict with the United States. The transfer of supply chains and the withdrawal of foreign capital will become more and more consensus. ASEAN countries and India are doing everything possible to seize the historical opportunity to receive foreign capital and supplies transferred from China chain. The United States will also increase its technological and economic blockade against the CCP, and other countries may follow suit.

When the epidemic broke out, the CCP deliberately opened up the country and tried to poison again, which made countries very vigilant. If countries experience the tragic experience three years ago again, whether they will settle the old and new accounts of the CCP together will also be a big variable.

The CCP can hardly relax at this time, otherwise it will be difficult to refuse the outside world's request to investigate the origin of the covid virus, and it will be even more difficult to avoid the issue of accountability and compensation for the CCP's concealment of the epidemic; issues raised by various countries such as unbalanced trade, protection of intellectual property rights, opening up of the Chinese market, and human rights, the CCP is also unable to deal with it.

In order to get rid of these troubles, the CCP may still follow the philosophy of "struggle", especially if it cannot admit all kinds of mistakes in the past. Qin Gang, the new foreign minister of the Communist Party of China, once said in an American TV interview that it is "naive" to condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine. He may not make friends, and the top leaders of the Communist Party of China will not allow him to casually treat diplomatic friends, only let him "tell Chinese stories well."

In 2023, the external environment facing the CCP may continue to increase due to the internal needs of the CCP.

Epilogue

In the new year, the CCP is suddenly faced with more and greater changes than before, which are basically caused by the CCP itself. These variables are superimposed year by year, and they will appear intensively in 2023, triggering unprecedented variables for the collapse of the CCP.

On 31 December 2022, Xi Jinping said in his New Year's message, "China is so big, different people will have different demands, and they will have different views on the same matter. This is normal, and consensus must be built through communication and consultation."

It can be seen that the leaders of the Communist Party of China have already felt the harbinger of the coming storm, and knowing that there is no way to resolve it, they were forced to speak soft words to the common people in a rare way. However, at the life meeting of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China on 26 to 27 December 2022, Xi Jinping still emphasized "always worrying about the party and firmly defending the party."

In the face of many variables, whether the CCP can survive for a while, or whether the red regime may go with the wind, may be the biggest variable in 2023.

Xi Jinping admits the differences and conflicts among the people. Analysis: Except for the virus, everything is cleared

Reporter : Luo Tingting  / Editor : Li Quan / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/01/03/a103615561.html

In his 2023 New Year’s message, the leader of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping, rarely admitted that three years of epidemic prevention and control have brought difficulties to people’s lives, and that people have differences and resistance to the authorities’ policies. Xi's statement aroused public attention. Some commentators believe that the CCP has cleared everything except the virus, and the process of the CCP’s collapse has already begun.

When the epidemic broke out in China, on 31 December 2022, Xi Jinping, delivered a New Year message for 2023 through CCTV and the Internet.

He said that the authorities "optimized and adjusted prevention and control measures according to the time and situation", "we have overcome unprecedented difficulties and challenges, and it is not easy for everyone", and called on the public to "work harder, persistence is victory, and unity is victory".

Current affairs commentator Qin Peng said in "News Talk": "In the New Year of 2023, many Chinese families lost their loved ones, and life was extremely difficult, but Xi Jinping did not express condolences to everyone on behalf of the CCP, or express sympathy for everyone, no! On the contrary He turned defeat, sorrow, into a victory for the party, lying everywhere."

Qin Peng said that it is obvious that the CCP has failed in terms of the epidemic and the economy, as well as in terms of chips and food.

Some netizens interpreted Xi Jinping's congratulatory speech: "We have overcome unprecedented difficulties and challenges (I said yes or no); the epidemic prevention and control has entered a new stage (the stage of the dead); it is still a tight time (such as the crematorium); everyone adds work hard (if you don’t die, die soon, if you can’t die, let me start work); persistence is victory (you persist, I win).”

In addition, in his congratulatory message, Xi Jinping acquiesced in the "blank paper revolution" of the Chinese people's protests against the epidemic prevention and control measures that occurred at the end of November. He mentioned that the public would have different opinions and called on everyone to unite.

Xi Jinping said, "China is such a big country that different people will have different demands and have different views on the same matter. This is normal, and consensus must be built through communication and consultation."

Qin Peng said that the outside world has noticed that Xi Jinping rarely admits differences but he uses so-called unity and other methods to try to get everyone to accept his leadership of the party. Therefore, many netizens ridiculed that if this is the case, let’s release all the arrested people, including Fang Bin, Zhang Zhan, and the protesters of the Blank Paper Revolution.

In early December 2022, Xi Jinping admitted to visiting European officials that the protests that broke out across China were mainly initiated by students, reflecting public dissatisfaction with the epidemic prevention measures in the past three years.

During the protests, the Chinese people chanted slogans such as "Communist Party step down" and "Xi Jinping step down." Overseas Chinese students also responded in solidarity, shocking the world. Subsequently, the CCP authorities changed the epidemic prevention policy without warning, and issued ten new epidemic prevention measures on December 7, unpreparedly loosened control, followed by a full-scale outbreak of the epidemic in China.

In his New Year's message, Xi Jinping explained the shift in zero-clearing anti-epidemic policy as an attempt to adapt to the evolving virus and the fact that the Omicron variant, which is currently prevalent in China and around the world, is more transmissible and has a lower mortality rate .

The authorities "optimized and adjusted prevention and control measures according to the time and situation, maximizing the protection of people's lives and health," Xi said.

However, the Omicron virus strain, which was "docile" in other countries, set off a tsunami of epidemics in China. The death toll from infection soared. Hospitals and funeral parlours were full.

At present, the peak of the epidemic in China is spreading to the countryside. Many research institutions predict that in the next three months, millions of people in China will be infected and die.

The CCP cleared the blockade after three years, causing serious damage to the Chinese economy and people's lives. The unprepared release of epidemic control has caused the Chinese people to completely lose trust in the CCP regime.

Recently, a post was circulated on the Internet. The post read: "The epidemic has been three years, except that the virus has not been cleared. Others, such as the leadership's prestige, government authority, expert knowledge, financial surplus, factory orders, Migrant workers’ wallets, students’ studies, and the public’s trust are all wiped out.”

A doctor of law told NTDTV: "This is basically the true portrayal of the CCP in the past three years."

He believes that "the so-called prosperity must decline, positive and negative change, not only the authority of the CCP government, not only the prestige of the CCP leadership has been cleared, but the collapse of the entire CCP, its downfall, the final process has already begun. "

The family members of the deceased questioned the timing of the opening: Do you want to kill all the old people?

死者家属质疑开放时机:这不想把老人都整死吗?

The CCP hastily loosened control over the epidemic, causing the epidemic to get out of control, and the death toll surged, especially the elderly, who became the primary targets of this epidemic. Many elderly people died due to covid, and the family members of the deceased questioned why the CCP loosened control at the most unfavorable time for the elderly.

According to "Radio Free Asia" report, Hu Peng from Tianjin, his father died of contracting covi. After experiencing the difficulty of seeking medical treatment and cremation in grief, Hu Peng questioned why the CCP officials chose to lift the prevention and control in winter, which is not good for the elderly.

Hu Peng's father, who was nearly ninety years old, was infected with novel coronavirus pneumonia last month and had difficulty breathing, which led to cardiopulmonary failure. The rescue failed and he died at the end of 2022.

Hu Peng said that his father had an underlying disease, and his condition was not good after the infection. He called 120, and he had to queue up at 120. The hospital was overcrowded, so he had to go to the orthopedic hospital.

Hu Peng said that he called 120 at that time, and the emergency centre said that there were 90 people in line ahead of him. He waited for a while, and the emergency center asked him which hospital he was going to. He said he wanted to go to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin Medical University. The emergency center told him not to go there because there was a line to enter the hospital gate.

He asked where to go to the emergency centre, and the emergency centre said that he should go to Tianjin Hospital, but Tianjin Hospital is an orthopedic hospital, and the emergency center said that at least this hospital can enter the emergency room.

Hu Peng said, "The emergency room of the hospital is full, and the corridors are full of people lying down one by one. The ICU is very tight, and there is no room for them. At that time, there were 4 elderly people in the emergency room, all of whom were 80 years old. As mentioned above, even the doctors themselves told me that they are in orthopedics, not this specialty, and now every hospital is recruiting all kinds of doctors, how difficult it is for you to see!"

Hu Peng said that the emergency room of the orthopedic hospital was overwhelmed with people, and the family members of some patients didn't even have a place to sit. The environment was unbearable. He also said that he knew from family members of other patients that the pneumonia hospital in Tianjin was in a more serious situation than his hospital.

Hu Peng's father died after staying in the hospital for 4 days.

Funeral homes burn 600 bodies a day

Arranging for his father to travel from the hospital to the funeral home was another challenge, Hu Peng said.

He said that ordinary people who do not have the ability to use their connections have no way to make any arrangements in the short term.

Hu Peng said, "If it doesn't matter if you go to the crematorium, you won't be able to find a car to bring the corpse to the hospital. Questioning why the government relaxed control in winter

Hu Peng said that under normal circumstances, winter is a period of high incidence of influenza, and the elderly are particularly prone to illness.

He questioned why the government released the epidemic control at a time that is not good for the elderly?

Hu Peng said, "Three years of epidemic prevention and three years of dynamic clearing, what have been cleared? Antigen reagents and reagents cannot be bought; cold medicines cannot be bought. When you go to Beijing, there is nothing in Beijing. You said that in the past three years what did you do? Didn’t do anything. Recruited a group of Dabais, built a batch of square cabin hospitals, and tested all staff for nucleic acid. All these medical resources were wasted, right? Self-help. Letting go half a year later, or half a year earlier, is better than letting go now. You know that in winter when the elderly are prone to concentrated illness, you let go at this time, isn’t it purely to kill the old people?”

Official admits more older people die

The epidemic in China has caused a large number of deaths among the elderly. Many people question the death rate of the elderly.

In the face of public doubts, recently, the CCP’s official media CCTV interviewed Tong Zhaohui, the director of the Beijing Institute of Respiratory Diseases. The reporter asked, “I can always hear from relatives and friends that the elderly in my family have passed away. It seems that there are more cases than in previous years. a lot of?". Tong Zhaohui replied, "There will definitely be more, we have to admit this."

At the same time, the official Chinese Communist Party media in Shandong Province reported on January 2 that Cheng Yusheng, a centenarian in Jinan, was treated properly at the hospital after being infected with covid, and finally recovered and was discharged. The report quickly rushed to the hot search but it was questioned by netizens that they only reported good news but not bad news.

A netizen said, "Accepting 100 people, 99 people died at an advanced age, and one was saved and the one who desperately reported to save the life was saved."

Some netizens also commented, "When this news becomes a news, it already shows that the covid virus is not simple."

Some netizens questioned, "Why don't so many old people with white lungs report, why don't so many people die because of covid, how can publicizing these things every day make more old people pay attention?"

"Why didn't you report the ten-year-old child who died of encephalitis caused by the covid virus in the Second Hospital of Jinan Province? How many old people have white lungs now? Why don't you report it?"

"So? Use this example to prove that covid is not harmful to the elderly?"

During the tsunami of the epidemic in China, many old experts, scholars, and artists who made "outstanding contributions" to the establishment of the CCP died intensively. Recently, Hou Yimin, a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts who participated in the design of the RMB, and Zhou Lingzhao, the so-called "first person in the design of New China" who participated in the design of the Communist Party emblem, the national emblem and the portrait of Mao, died successively.

According to the Beijing Daily client news, the Mural Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts revealed that Zhou Lingzhao, a master of Chinese art design, one of the pioneers of the Chinese mural movement, a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and a member of the Communist Party of China, passed away at 15:06 on 3 January 2023 at the age of 104 years old.

According to public information, Zhou Lingzhao is known as the "No. 1 designer in New China" and "made historic contributions" to the image design after the founding of the CCP, including: In 1949, he was the chief author of the "Founding Ceremony" after the CCP usurped power. The portrait of Chairman Mao on the Tiananmen Gate Tower, the national emblem of the Communist Party of China, the emblem of the CPPCC, and the flag of the Young Pioneers;

In addition, he was responsible for the overall art design of the second, third, and fourth sets of RMB bills after the CCP usurped power, and participated in the planning of large-scale historical oil paintings "May 4th Movement", large-scale murals "Unity of the People of the World", and oil paintings "Shaoshan"...

Previously, Beijing Daily reported on 2 January 2023 that Hou Yimin, a Chinese artist, professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, former first vice president, and first president of the China Mural Society, passed away on 1 January.

According to official media reports, in 1948, he was the head of the CCP’s underground party organization at the Beiping Academy of Art, the predecessor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and participated in helping the CCP seize Beiping (Beijing). In 1958, when Hou Yimin was the deputy director of the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, he created the "Revolutionary History" painting that praised the Chinese Communist Party and participated in the design of RMB.

Officials did not say the cause of Hou Yimin's death. However, the CCP suddenly released the zero-covid policy without warning before, which led to the outbreak of the epidemic like a tsunami, and a large number of senior CCP officials and celebrities died together. Although the official cause of death of these people is closely guarded, the outside world believes that most of them died from the epidemic.

It is reported on the Internet that "China's mutant strains have exploded, and the white lung is not Omicron"? The verification center seeks verification from Taiwan and Hong Kong experts

Image : There are rumours on the Internet that people infected with the epidemic in Beijing, China have "big white lungs". It is suspected that it is not the Omicron, which is mostly mild, but the original virus or other "hidden version of the big devil". Is it true? The Taiwan Fact Checking Center asked Taiwan and Hong Kong experts to verify this. (Flipping Check Center)

China has gradually relaxed the Wuhan pneumonia (covid, COVID-19) epidemic prevention and control since December 2022. Countries have resorted to anti-epidemic policies against China. There are Internet rumors that Beijing, China is infected with the epidemic. It is suspected that the virus is not the Omicron, which is mostly mild, but the original virus or other "hidden version of the big devil". Is it true? The Taiwan Fact Checking Center asked Taiwan and Hong Kong experts to verify this.

Rumors began to circulate on 27 December 022, saying that "a large number of mutant viruses have appeared in China, and a large number of white lung deaths have been reported in various parts of Beijing. It is not a symptom of Omicron at all. It is more like the previous Delta or original Wuhan pneumonia virus. That is, the large number of infections in China may not only be the omicron family with mild symptoms, but also the hidden version of the big devil who is attacking the city together... There are more than 130 kinds of mutant viruses in China that are circulating. The future will be no one knows what was raised (omitted later)".

The inspection center consulted Shi Xinru, director of the Emerging Viral Infection Research Center of Chang Gung University, Qiu Nanchang, chairman of the Taiwan Pediatric Infectious Diseases Medical Association, and Jin Dongyan, a professor at the School of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Hong Kong.

Experts pointed out that according to Taiwan's current overseas virus strain monitoring, most of the Omicron variants have been imported from outside China. At present, there is no evidence that a stronger and more deadly variant virus has emerged in China. China's information is relatively opaque, and Taiwan's genetic sequencing tests for foreign imports can help monitor the status of mutant strains in China. In this regard, Hong Kong experts pointed out that there is currently no evidence that the Delta virus strain is still circulating in China, and there is no evidence that white lung symptoms are related to Delta.

Regarding the rumoured "white lung" part, experts reminded that although Omicron mainly causes upper respiratory tract symptoms, it may still cause pneumonia. Therefore, the occurrence of white lung cannot be inferred as a non-Omicron case.

Hong Kong experts pointed out that many rumours about white lung disease and myocarditis in China are unclear, self-contradictory and unreasonable. According to Chinese officials, the main virus strains currently prevalent in China include BF.7, BA.5.2, and BQ.1 and XBB that recently appeared in Europe and the United States. No new mutant strains have been found yet.

Based on the above information, there is currently no sufficient scientific evidence to show that the "big white lung" symptoms of Chinese patients are caused by other variants of the covid virus. The rumors are conjectures with insufficient evidence, and this rumour is judged as "insufficient evidence" information.

The goods from years ago (in the lunar calendar) can't be ordered now, and the queue is full. Now those who work in our business are out of stock. Pfizer's specific drugs are monopolized by the rich and powerful, and ordinary people are blocked from buying Indian generic drugs

辉瑞特效药被权贵垄断 百姓购印度仿制药被阻

China’s front-line doctors and industry insiders disclosed that Pfizer’s covid specific drugs are used by powerful people in China, and the quota for hospitals is very small. Ordinary people cannot obtain Paxlovid oral medicine from normal channels, but they are blocked from buying Indian generic medicines instead.

From 14 December 2022, the Beijing authorities allowed Pfizer’s covid oral drug Paxlovid (Nimatevir/ritonavir tablets) to enter the Chinese medical market in limited quantities. However, more than half a month has passed, and to hundreds of millions of people in China  it is still difficult for ordinary infected people to obtain this drug.

A senior medical professional in mainland China who requested anonymity disclosed to Radio Free Asia that Pfizer's oral drug Paxlovid is still in "extreme shortage" in mainland China, and hospitals around the world have very little quota for obtaining Paxlovid through formal channels.

For example, the Wuhan Central Hospital where Dr. Li Wenliang lived was a key tertiary hospital in Hubei Province. There were 3,012 inpatients in the hospital, of which 1,821 were severe patients with the new crown. However, the daily quota of Paxlovid for the hospital was only 20 boxes. Only inpatients can apply for the drug, and it needs to be approved by the hospital.

The senior industry insider further revealed that those in the cadre ward, especially senior officials who enjoy special medical insurance, can easily get this drug and take it as soon as they have symptoms. As for the medical staff in Wuhan, many elderly people in their families are themselves high-risk individuals and cannot get the drug, which has caused strong dissatisfaction among many medical staff.

Another person familiar with the matter broke the news that in China, it is difficult for ordinary people to obtain special drugs for covid treatment from formal channels, and Pfizer’s original Paxlovid on the black market in Chengdu has sold for 12,000 RMB a box; in some other provinces and cities, the black market price is even higher. It reached the level of 20,000 RMB a box. Now this drug has been regarded as a bribe in short supply, and the drug's Chinese market license is completely monopolized by the central enterprise China Pharmaceuticals.

A person familiar with the matter told Radio Free Asia that some of the Paxlovid imported by Chinese pharmaceutical companies have flowed into the market. The Chinese elites regard this thing as a gift and give it to their big customers. This is no longer the pipeline of the hospital, but flows out of the informal pipeline.

Ren Ruihong, a former executive of the Red Cross Society, said bluntly that the epidemic in China has been completely out of control, and the current officially imported Pfizer oral medicine is like a drop in the bucket. She revealed that in order to tide over the difficulties, many ordinary people in China have mail-ordered Pfizer’s covid oral medicine imitated by India. However, China has grounded the only direct cargo flight from India to Guangzhou, making the medicines purchased by the people unable to get them.

Ren Ruihong said that there is news that China Medicine has imported 650,000 boxes of the original American covid oral medicine. She responded, "Why not let (Indian generic drugs) in? I am afraid that "China Medicine" and people in the chain of interests are taking advantage of the tragic epidemic to seek windfall profits."

McCarthy meets party challenge, House speaker election fails in three rounds

Reporters : Jin Shi and Melina Wisecup / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/01/04/a103616251.html

The new session of the U.S. Congress began on 3 January 2023 but the speaker of the House of Representatives had a difficult labour situation that was rare in a century. Republican leader McCarthy suffered setbacks in three consecutive rounds of voting.

In the House of Representatives vote at noon on Tuesday (3 January), due to the opposition of 19 Republicans, McCarthy did not get the 218 votes needed to be elected speaker.

After the midterm elections, the Republicans only have a slim majority in the House (222:212), so McCarthy can only lose a maximum of 4 Republican votes.

With no candidate winning half, the House of Representatives then went to a second round of speaker elections for the first time in nearly a century.

However, in the second round of voting, the same 19 Republicans voted against it again, forcing the vote into a third round.

In the third round of voting, 20 Republicans voted for another Republican, Representative Jim Jordan, and the election was still fruitless.

Reporter: "For the first time in a century, members of the House of Representatives need to conduct multiple rounds of voting to elect the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Interestingly, as the voting was repeated, McCarthy's votes did not increase but decreased. Jordan was nominated unexpectedly, and Jordan I support McCarthy."

After three rounds of voting, the House of Representatives adjourned.

Republicans who oppose McCarthy as speaker include Representatives Scott Perry, Matt Gaetz and others.

Rep. Matt Gates: "We offered McCarthy some conditions, and he said no."

McCarthy, the Republican leader of the US House of Representatives: "I will always fight to put the American people first, not a few people who are for themselves."

Under the rules, if no candidate wins a majority, the House will go back and forth until a speaker is elected.

The last speaker re-vote in the United States took place in 1923. After three days and nine rounds of voting, the House of Representatives elected Republican Frederick Gillett as speaker.
