At midnight on 1 January 2023, people in Nanjing broke through the police blockade and rushed to the statue of Sun Yat-sen, expressing their desire for democracy and freedom and protesting the tyranny of the CCP.

The video of a tweeter with the net name "Luo Xiang" broke the news: This is Xinjiekou Square in Nanjing City at midnight on 1 January 1, 2023 last night. This is the city centre, where a bronze statue of Mr. Sun Yat-sen stands. They all flocked to the bronze statue of Mr. Sun spontaneously and unanimously. This is a sight that has never been seen before.

Dr. Sun Yat-sen formulated the Three Principles of the People as his guiding ideology, aiming to establish a republic of the people, governed by the people, and for the people, and a harmonious society of freedom, equality, and fraternity. Great Harmony" is our responsibility to realize the sharing and common progress of Chinese and world civilizations, to build a world of great harmony where the world is all for one, and to create a harmonious, healthy and happy human society.

Henan people, who have been suppressed by the epidemic for three years, were dissatisfied with the authorities’ prohibition of fireworks and challenged the relevant policies of the authorities for days and ignited large-scale police-civilian conflicts.

Police cars were smashed and overturned, a protester danced on a police car

On 2 January 2023, mainland Weibo, TikTok and Twitter all uploaded a large number of videos, showing that in the evening of 2 January, a large-scale conflict broke out in Luyi, Zhoukou, Henan. It was estimated that thousands of people surrounded police cars, smashed them with hard objects, and kicked them with their feet. The police cars were completely smashed and overturned. One man even jumped on a police car and danced, while those around him booed.

There are multiple messages on Weibo saying, "jc (police) caught a poor guy who set off fireworks, and the crowd wouldn't let him take him away, and then the conflict escalated!"

"I think it's wrong for the police to arrest the person who set off the fireworks. This incident happened because the police arrested a commoner who set off the fireworks!"

Someone also left a message: "I can't help venting, I may have been too aggrieved in the past few years!"

When a rule is resisted, there is a problem with the rule itself

Another person said,Using this incident in Luyi, let me summarize some anti-intellectual remarks since the public opinion point of setting off fireworks broke out: when a rule is resisted by everyone, then there is a problem with the rule itself." ; Hold it back for three years and release it; Fireworks can kill viruses and eradicate epidemics; Inheriting the traditional culture that has been handed down for five thousand years, Korean fireworks have successfully applied for World Heritage; The way to peace of mind!!!”

There are past conflicts with the Henan police over the ban on setting off fireworks

In the past few days, there have been many conflicts and competitions between police and civilians in Henan due to setting off fireworks.

On the evening of December 31, in Xuchang, Henan Province, thousands of people gathered in the Chunqiu Square in the downtown area. Surrounded by the police, they watched the people break through the authorities' ban and set off fireworks to welcome the New Year.

Chinese set off fireworks to celebrate the New Year after the police were defeated

There are also videos showing that in Taikang County, Zhoukou, Henan Province, people asked the police to release people arrested for setting off fireworks. After the police released the people, the people directly set off fireworks beside the police cars to celebrate.

A black car in a certain place in Shandong, regardless of the police car chasing after it, set off fireworks along the way.

In November last year, the Henan Zhoukou authorities issued the "Zhoukou City Special Action Plan for Cracking Illegal Fireworks and Firecrackers and Prohibiting Burning and Discharging", requiring a strict "special campaign for cracking down on illegal fireworks and banning burning and prohibiting fireworks" throughout the city.

Mr. Jing, a mainland Internet writer, told NTDTV earlier that human nature has been suppressed for too long and needs a release channel. The common people understand more about what the authorities say, and they cannot listen to it. If they listen to their words, they will suffer misfortune, so the people ignore it and simply despise it. This also reflects the people's resistance to the authorities. If there are more people who overcome their fear, these thieves  will become street rats.

On the first day of the new year, "white paper protest" reappeared, a large number of depositors in Henan marched

新年首日再现“白纸抗议” 大批河南储户游行

On the first day of 2023, "blank paper protests" reappeared in China. A large number of rural bank depositors in Henan held blank papers to collect debts and defend their rights on the highway. They braved the howling cold wind, marched and shouted, "Repay my deposit!"

video released by "Gan Jing World" shows that on 1 January 2023, a large number of rights-protecting depositors of rural banks in Henan walked on the highway, holding white papers and shouting "Zhengzhou Bank, return my deposit!"

The video showed these activists braving the cold wind and rushing to Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province, to protest. The reason is that depositors with a deposit of more than 500,000 RMB have been given a yellow code on their ID cards. Trains, cars, airplanes, and self-driving travel will all be tracked and monitored by big data, making it almost impossible to move. So this time they went on foot to Zhengzhou to defend their rights.

The Henan village bank incident occurred in April 2022. At that time, four village banks in Henan Province closed online withdrawal and transfer channels without warning at almost the same time. Depositors were unable to withdraw cash, causing large-scale panic among depositors. On 10 July 2022, thousands of depositors went to Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, to defend their rights but they were besieged by the police and plainclothes people, and bloody clashes broke out.

The bank mine explosion incident allegedly involved as many as 400,000 depositors, and the amount involved was as high as tens of billions of RMB. In the face of large-scale rights protection by depositors, the CCP officially agreed to advance payments in batches. According to the report of the CCP Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, as of the evening of 11 August 2022, advance payments have been made to rural bank customers in four batches, with a total of 436,000 households and 18.04 billion RMB in advance.

However, some depositors reported that they did not receive the official advance funds, and some people claimed that they only received the principal and the interest had been deducted.

It is worth noting that on the first day of 2023, they launched a rights defense protest again, and each held a blank piece of paper with words such as "Henan village bank deposits cannot be withdrawn" or "injustice".

This form of protest with a blank paper in hand is reminiscent of the "blank paper revolution" that broke out in China not long ago. Some people commented on Twitter that the white paper revolution made many people see that the CCP was not strong enough and is also a paper tiger. In the future, this kind of group disobedience will increase.

The white paper revolution stems from public outrage caused by the CCP’s containment of the epidemic. In November 2022, people from all over China took to the streets one after another, held rallies and parades holding white papers in their hands, protesting the CCP’s epidemic control, and shouting slogans such as “Communist Party step down!” This form of protest quickly fermented overseas. Chinese and overseas students from many countries held rallies and shouted slogans such as "Communist Party step down!" and "Down with the Communist Party!".

Some experts believe that China's domestic crisis has not been resolved, and there will be more protests like the Blank Paper Revolution.

Zhang Tianliang, an expert on Chinese issues and a scholar of history and culture, previously analyzed in his "Daybreak" program that the blank paper revolution was just the beginning, and people will still use this form to protest various unfair treatment, and this unorganized struggle with the leadership may be more protracted. However, the CCP’s suppression can only be concentrated on one point, and the CCP cannot cope with this kind of protest that is scattered across the country.

He said that the white paper movement "has already sounded the death knell for the CCP."

At the beginning of the new year, a new strain of the virus reappeared in Shanghai, which is more contagious

Editor : Wen Hui / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/01/02/a103614127.htmlhttps://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/01/02/a103613977.html

As the epidemic spreads explosively across China, "XBB strain has been detected in Shanghai" appeared on Weibo hot searches on 2 January 2022, making the Chinese people who have just entered 2023, panicked again. Experts say this strain is more contagious.

According to comprehensive mainland Chinese media reports, recently, the Global Initiative to Share All Influenza Data (GISAID) database added 369 new sequencing results of the Chinese novel coronavirus (covi), uploaded by Chen Saijuan of Ruijin Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine and Shanghai Public Health, a joint scientific research team led by Fan Xiaohong from the clinical centre.

According to reports, these samples came from infected patients in Shanghai. It is worth noting that among the 25 XBB families monitored in Shanghai this time, there were 3 cases of XBB.1.5. The latest research shows that XBB.1.5 has the same immune escape ability as XBB.1, but it is more likely to infect the human body.

According to Wang Xinyu, deputy director of the Department of Infectious Diseases at Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, the pathogenicity of XBB, BQ.1, and BQ.1.1 is similar to that of previous strains but their immune escape ability is enhanced, so the virus may spread faster than before.

If you encounter the aforementioned 3 strains, the probability of secondary infection mainly depends on two aspects. One is depending on how much the strain overlaps with BA.5 and BF.7. If the virus keeps mutating and the cross-protective effect is reduced, it may cause infection; the second depends on the level of autoantibodies.

On 20 December 2022, Xu Wenbo, director of the Institute of Viral Diseases of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, introduced that in the past three months, China has monitored more than 130 sub-branches of Omicron, including BF. Subclades causing associated indigenous cases or outbreaks include BQ.1 and XBB.

Since the Beijing authorities relaxed the control of the epidemic last month, the epidemic situation in various parts of China has rapidly increased, and countless people have died from the epidemic. However, at this time, on the one hand, the CCP has opened up the country and allowed Chinese tourists to go abroad on a large scale; on the other hand, it continues to conceal relevant data about the epidemic, which has aroused concern from the international community.

The Italian government recently discovered that half of the people on the flight from China to Italy had been infected. Japan's testing of incoming personnel found that 90 of the 92 infected people were from China.

At present, many countries have decided to impose entry restrictions on Chinese tourists and strengthen epidemic detection. There are also countries that directly ban flights from China to prevent the spread of the Chinese epidemic overseas.

The 52-year-old deputy dean of Inner Mongolia University died, and the official rarely admitted to being infected

Reporter : Luo Tingting / Editor : Wen Hui / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/01/02/a103614102.html

A few days ago, Wang Tao, deputy secretary of the party committee and deputy dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, passed away at the age of 52. The official obituary issued a rare admission that Wang Tao was infected with the covid virus and died of invalid treatment.

Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology issued an obituary on the official Weibo on December 31 last year: Wang Tao, a member of the Communist Party of China, deputy secretary of the party committee and deputy dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, was infected with the covid virus (covi, CCP virus) during work, and the treatment was ineffective. He died in Baotou at 6.10 am on 30 March at the age of 52.

According to the obituary, Wang Tao was born in December 1970 in Xiuyan County, Liaoning. Joined the Communist Party of China in May 1993. Served as Deputy Secretary of the Youth League General Branch and Deputy Director of the Office of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Baotou Iron and Steel Institute; Deputy Director and Director of the Office of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology; Deputy Director of the Retirement Office of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, associate dean.

The death of the young vice president of the university caused public concern. Before this, officials had never admitted that people who died suddenly during the outbreak were caused by the disease.

Recently, news of the death of members of the Communist Party of China, officials, or celebrities from all walks of life has been reported almost every day, but officials rarely disclose the specific cause of death, and only some relatives and friends of some people have revealed that it is related to the epidemic.

Last month, 40-year-old Peking opera actress Chu Lanlan died suddenly, the cause of death was not mentioned in the official obituary. However, Chu Lanlan's apprentice revealed in her eulogy that she died of complications caused by contracting covi.

The 37-year-old former Chinese Super League player Wang Ruoji died of illness. Officials said he died of complications caused by the epidemic.

People in the Chinese medical field: The second infection is more terrible, and the TV does not report the dead

中国医界人士:二次感染更可怕 死的人电视根本不报

The epidemic tsunami in China has not subsided, and waves have risen again, and many people have experienced secondary infections. A person in the medical field warned his family members that many patients with secondary infection had symptoms that were 10 times more painful than the first time. Many people died of secondary infection in the hospital, but they were not reported on TV at all.

On January 2, the entry of #Second Infection Covid What Experience# was a hot search on Weibo. At present, the first batch of infected people in China have not yet recovered, and the topic of "secondary infection" has attracted attention. Discussions such as "the more infections, the worse the immunity" and "repeated infection will lead to death" have aroused people's concerns.

Image : Screenshot of Weibo

A few days ago, a chatting audio of a person in the medical field and his family was uploaded on the Internet. He warned his relatives and friends: "The second infection is getting worse. Now the hospital beds are tight. These patients are basically the patients with the second covi-positivity. These are not reported on TV, I tell you."

"How serious is the secondary covi-positivity, even if your own immune system is not working well, you have to rely on that kind of human immunoglobulin to maintain your own immune system, and they are all lying in the hospital. Diversity kills people.”

He warned relatives and friends, "What you see is what experts say to comfort people. After this thing becomes covi-positive, after a month, the immune cells that are immune to the virus are gone in 30 days, and you will be infected after one month. "

"Because you have been infected once before, your own immune system is definitely not as good as the first time, so you have to rely on that kind of human immunoglobulin to improve your immunity. If you don't lose this thing, the persistent high fever above 40 degrees will not subside. That person can be burned for you, alas, these things are not reported on TV at all."

"You don't even know if you don't do this thing (selling medicine). You go to the hospital to see how crazy the immunoglobulins are in our market these two days. It's hard to find one, and that person puts it away. Lying in the hospital does not need medicine, there is no medicine."

He revealed that there are many people with secondary infections in the hospital. "They said that the secondary infection is painful. The pain on the body is 10 to 5 times that of the first time. How painful do you think that pain is? Ibuprofen doesn’t work at all, and seeing those people suffer all the time, I’m afraid of secondary infection.”

"So not many years ago, the three of us didn't dare to go back, because we were afraid of secondary infection, and the secondary infection would be over when we went to the doctor. The older man in his 60s and 70s is in the automatic room here. Several of them have died.” He said that basically, secondary infections will bring out other complications, and if the heart is not good, the liver is not good, and the kidney function is not good. If the medicine is brought out, the person will not be able to survive. , "These hospitals do not report these on  TVs."

He advised his relatives and friends not to listen to experts, and to take good protection when going out, and not to have second covi-positivity. "I went to the hospital every day to watch these people. I suffered too much. Let me tell you, even those with a little bad health couldn't make it through. You said that the person lost two immunoglobulins a day, and one in the morning. Only, one in the afternoon costs 2,000 RMB a day, can you afford to lose if the family is not good?"

He bluntly said that now he wants to wear a three-layer mask when he goes out, because he is afraid of secondary infection. He reminds his relatives and friends again that he must explain to his family, "Oh, don't always listen to the experts on the TV. What they say now, all the words are for the purpose of stabilizing this society and this situation. If he tells the truth, I tell you that this society will be messed up."

"Really, you said that there are so many people lying in the hospital. On this TV, which hospital did you watch say how hard it is for people infected with the second virus? Did you see a report on TV? No report at all. Due to the second infection, these people died. You know how to kill these people, have you seen on TV, have you heard of people who died because of the new crown and second yang energy? Don’t they report it on TV? Then I’ll tell you that there are people around you.”

He once again reminded his relatives and friends, "So experts on these things are now trying to stabilize the social situation. Just know what you know, especially the elderly at home, you must take good precautions, and don't get infected a second time."

There are currently more than 130 Omicronia branches spreading in China, and XBB mutant strains have been detected in Shanghai. According to news from CCTV on 1 January 2023, recently, many provinces have released survey data, and the infection rate in some places is above 60%. Cases in cities that have experienced multiple rounds of peaks in covi infections have confirmed that people are reinfected with covi, experts say.

Experts also said that whether there will be a second infection depends on how much overlap with the previous strain and the level of autoantibodies. In other words, secondary infection may indeed exist, and it is difficult to have corresponding defense measures.

However, the Weibo big V "Fang Chengshi" refuted the expert's conclusion: "Our domestic epidemic strains can be seen from the mutation map, and they are thousands of miles away from XBB, so there is no overlap, and we want to get cross-immune protection? The Arabian Nights Well. The phrase "self-resistance" is even more fart. The resistance is still there for the first time, and the disease strain has repeatedly attacked the immune system. With the apoptosis of immune cells again and again, what resistance is there? Force?"

He said, "Since monoclonal antibodies and serum giants cannot effectively deal with XBB, the treatment includes the injection of 'immunoglobulin', so you will find that the price of this thing should be rising rapidly."

Some netizens said, "My friend, the one who lost his sense of taste for half a year, got a second infection, and healthy young men can get a second infection... let alone the elderly. If there are elderly people at home, you must pay more attention... ·”

Another netizen lamented: "Last month #What it's like to be infected with covi#, this month's #What is it like to have two covi infections?#, just die."

The outbreak in China is fierce. According to experts’ predictions, at least 600 million people across the country have been infected with covid. Due to the sharp increase in the number of deaths from the epidemic, funeral parlours around the world have been overcrowded, and funeral "scalpers" have appeared in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and other places, causing public outrage.

China's 20-day infection rate exceeds global 3-year infection rate

Zeng Guang, former chief scientist of epidemiology at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said recently that the epidemic storm in China has progressed faster than expected. He estimated that the number of infected people in Beijing may have exceeded 80%, or even higher.

Zhang Wenhong, a professor at Fudan University in Shanghai and director of the National Center for Infectious Diseases, also said that the current infection rate in many major cities has exceeded 50%, and it will reach 80% during the Chinese New Year in January. He called on the public to reduce gatherings at the end of the year.

An article published on the mainland website "Today's Toutiao" on 30 December 2022 stated that the Omicron epidemic in China is different from other countries. The speed of transmission and ability to infect are probably unprecedented in the history of human infectious diseases.

A summary of the meeting of the National Healthl Commission of the Communist Party of China circulated on the Internet recently stated that from 1 to 20 December, the cumulative number of people infected with the epidemic in China has reached 248 million. The article stated that "the 20-day infection rate exceeds the three-year infection rate of all countries in the world", which is beyond the knowledge of all experts at home and abroad.

In addition, the author of the article said that according to his own observation, there are very few people in Beijing who have not yet been diagnosed. The infection rate of the surrounding employees exceeds 90%, and many of them are close to 100%. According to Zeng Guang's estimate, the permanent population of Beijing is about 22 million, and with an 80% infection rate, about 18 million people have been infected.

According to the article, based on various predictions published on the Internet, the current national infection rate has exceeded 50%, and some cities have even exceeded 90%, and the number of infected people may have exceeded 600 million.

Funeral "scalpers" appear across China

Recently, severe cases have peaked in Beijing, Jilin, Anhui, Wuhan, Guangzhou and other places. The number of white lung patients and the elderly with underlying diseases has suddenly increased, and the ICU of the hospital is in a hurry. According to a report from Yicai.com.cn, the utilization rate of emergency beds in hospitals in Beijing, where the epidemic is most severe, is as high as 2166%.

Due to the soaring number of deaths from the epidemic, "scalpers" have also emerged in the funeral industry, reselling cremation places to the public at high prices. Recently, a telephone recording of a Beijing resident complaining to the authorities was exposed on the Internet, complaining that there is no place to burn the remains of the deceased infected by the epidemic in Beijing, and the cremation fee of the funeral home has increased to 30,000 RMB.

The Shanghai crematorium assigns a limited number of numbers every day, and the family members of the deceased can only cremate the remains after obtaining the number. A video posted on the Internet showed that a number was fired for 30,000 RMB by "scalpers".

The Shanghai Hongkou Branch reported that (last year) more than 20 funeral "scalpers" were caught on 29 December. They sold cremation quotas to citizens at exorbitant prices ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 RMB.

There was also a long queue at a funeral home in Guangzhou. Videos posted on the Internet showed that someone was selling cremation numbers at a high price, and was besieged by the family members of the deceased, and the police could not stop them.

Expert: It will take six weeks for Beijing to pass the death peak

Lu Mengji, a Chinese-German virologist and professor of the Institute of Virology at the University of Essen, told Lianhe Zaobao that according to previous data, the first wave of social epidemics caused by the Omicron virus usually lasts about three months. However, due to the historical arrears of China's critical medical resources and the high incidence of winter influenza, the overall evolution cycle is likely to be lengthened.

Lu Mengji believes that it is expected that it will take four to six weeks for Beijing to pass the peak of severe illness and death. The time window is also small for cities with late outbreaks of infections. On the one hand, it is necessary to fully mobilize the strength of society and grassroots medical institutions to realize the diversion of medical treatment pressure; on the other hand, it is necessary to guard against the imbalance in the distribution of critical medical resources, resulting in patients with other diseases not receiving timely treatment.

The China CDC reported 5,138 new confirmed cases and one new death on 1 January 2023 but official figures are no longer recognized, and experts believe the actual number of infections and deaths is much higher because mass testing is no longer being carried out.

In addition, officials secretly suppressed the number of deaths from the epidemic. A doctor at a private hospital in Beijing said that in recent days, he and his colleagues found a printed note on the hospital desk asking them to "try not to write respiratory failure caused by severe novel coronavirus pneumonia" as the main cause of death.

The death toll from the virus in China will reach 1.7 million by the end of April 2023, according to the latest forecast from UK-based analytics firm Airfinity.

日本机场普筛首日阳性暴增 98%来自中国

Japan’s airports recently implemented new rules for mandatory covi testing for inbound passengers for the first time, and 92 inbound passengers were found to be covi-positive, 90 of whom were from mainland China. The next day, the Australian government, which had stated that it would not take restrictive measures against Chinese tourists for the time being, announced that it would require passengers from China to show proof of a covi-negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test within 48 hours.

Since 30 December 2022, the Japanese government has implemented a covid virus test for all passengers from mainland China, and restricted flights from the mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau to use only four airports in Tokyo Narita, Haneda, Kansai, and Nagoya Chobu.

Based on reports from the Japanese media "Yomiuri Shimbun" and Jiji News Agency, on Saturday (31 December), Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare announced the results of the first "general screening" of inbound passengers at the airport on the 30th, showing that there were a total of 92 passengers on that day. Inbound travelers tested covi-positive, 90 of whom had travel history to China. That is to say, nearly 98% of the infected passengers detected by the covi general screening at Japan International Airport on the first day came from mainland China.

Japanese media reports also specifically pointed out that since mid-October 2022, the country has screened less than 10 positive people per day from inbound Japanese tourists, and the data released on the previous day on 30 December was only 10. Unexpectedly, the number of infections among inbound passengers "surged" a day later.

After the recent covid outbreak in China, news from private channels in various places shows that the number of critically ill patients in hospitals has increased sharply, and the number of deaths has also soared, causing the funeral industry to almost collapse. With the epidemic situation so serious, the CCP government announced that it will fully relax the restrictions on entry and exit from 8 January 2023. At the same time, the CCP officials have concealed the severity of the current covid epidemic in China.

In order to prevent the epidemic in China from spreading to their own countries, many countries, including Japan, have successively imposed some restrictive measures on inbound passengers from China. The most commonly used measure is mandatory nucleic acid testing for inbound passengers.

After the data released on the first day of general screening at Narita International Airport, the Australian government, which stated last week that it would temporarily not impose entry restrictions on passengers from mainland China, immediately announced on 1 January 2023 that it would start at 12 am of 5 January 2023. Passengers from mainland China are required to show a covi-negative virus certificate within 48 hours before entering Australia.

According to ABC News (ABC News), Australian Health Minister Mark Butler said that the Australian government decided to adopt this new regulation out of "high concern" about the lack of detailed data on the epidemic situation in mainland China. The purpose is to collect more accurate data related to the epidemic. Australia still welcomes Chinese tourists to travel to Australia.

In addition, the Public Health Agency of Canada also announced in the evening of the 31 December that in view of the surge in covi infection cases in mainland China and the lack of relevant epidemiological data, starting from 5 January 2023, it will require people from mainland China, Passengers from Hong Kong and Macau must show a covi-negative certificate within 48 hours before entering the country. This new entry rule will remain in place for at least 30 days.

In response to the CCP government’s refusal to release real data on the current number of people infected with the disease, the rate of severe cases, and the death rate in China, the “New York Times” published an article on 30 December stating that after the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic in China, the world is exploring logarithms the health of 100 million Chinese people and the impact on global economic development but because the CCP government does not provide reliable information, it has turned into a "big scientific guessing game" to judge the severity of the epidemic in CCP China.

According to the report, in the face of the surge in the number of people infected in China, scientists around the world are trying to understand the same thing, that is, how fast is the virus spreading in China? How many people are dying? Could some new dangerous variant emerge in China? Scientists are working hard to sift through various sources of unreliable information "to prepare for potentially catastrophic consequences".

Tsai Ing-wen's New Year speech responds to Xi Jinping's "the two sides of the Taiwan Strait are a family"

蔡英文新年讲话 回应习近平的“一家亲”

It is 2023, and Xi Jinping and Tsai Ing-wen have delivered New Year speeches respectively. Regarding Xi Jinping's reference to "a family on both sides of the Taiwan Strait", Tsai Ing-wen said that Xi's speech was relatively moderate, but she also emphasized that the CCP's military activities around Taiwan will not help cross-strait relations.

On 1 January 2023, when President Tsai Ing-wen of the Republic of China delivered a New Year speech at the Presidential Palace, she talked about the global political and economic situation and the challenges ahead from the epidemic.

When talking about cross-strait relations, Tsai Ing-wen emphasized, "From the epidemic to global political and economic changes, both sides of the strait are experiencing many of the same challenges, and war has never been an option to solve problems. Only dialogue and cooperation can jointly promote the stable development of the region. Only with this goal can more people be safe and happy.”

In response to the tense atmosphere caused by the CCP’s military exercise around Taiwan in August last year, she said, “We responded calmly and let the world see Taiwan’s tenacity and determination to defend freedom. Under the Ukraine-Russia War and the global political and economic changes, Taiwanese people have passed 365 stable days."

Regarding the recent explosive rise in the epidemic in China, Tsai Ing-wen said, "As long as there is a need, based on the standpoint of humanitarian care, we are willing to provide the necessary assistance to help more people get out of the epidemic and have a healthy and safe New Year."

In response to Xi Jinping's statement that "the two sides of the Taiwan Strait are a family", Tsai Ing-wen said that she has noticed that Xi Jinping "expressed it in a relatively gentle way", but she also pointed out that the CCP's military activities around Taiwan "do not help cross-strait relations" and "will not contribute to regional peace and stability."

The day before Tsai Ing-wen’s New Year’s speech, on 31 December 2022, when Xi Jinping delivered his New Year’s speech, he rarely called out to Taiwan that “the two sides of the strait are one family” and hoped that compatriots on both sides of the strait “will meet each other and go hand in hand to create a long-lasting future well-being for the Chinese nation.”

The outside world has noticed that compared with Xi Jinping's New Year's speech in 2022, the tone of Xi's speech has softened significantly. He said at the time that "to realize the complete reunification of the motherland is the common wish of compatriots on both sides of the strait."

But at the same time that Xi Jinping shouted that "the two sides of the Taiwan Strait are one family", the CCP's military activities around the Taiwan Strait have heated up again. After Tsai Ing-wen's speech, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense announced on the same day that 24 CCP military aircraft on "New Year's Eve" circumnavigated Taiwan, and 4 warships were operating around the Taiwan Strait, of which 15 military aircraft crossed the centre line of the strait.

Xi Jinping's New Year's message talks about the epidemic situation every year

习近平新年贺词谈疫情 一年一个样

When the epidemic broke out in China, on 31 December 2022, the leader of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping, delivered a 2023 New Year's message. He rarely admits that the current epidemic prevention and control has entered a "new stage" and "is a tough time", which is completely different from his arguments in the New Year's greetings in the previous two years.

Xi Jinping published his 2023 New Year's message through the Chinese Communist Party's media CCTV and the Internet, and the party's Xinhua News Agency published the full text of the message. Xi Jinping talked about the epidemic situation in China in his congratulatory message, saying that the authorities "optimized and adjusted the prevention and control measures according to the time and situation", and admitted that "the epidemic prevention and control has entered a new stage, and it is still a difficult time", and called on the public to "redouble their efforts and persist Victory is victory, and unity is victory."

Later, Xi Jinping also mentioned in his congratulatory message, "China is so big, different people will have different demands, and they will have different views on the same thing. This is normal, and consensus must be built through communication and negotiation."

The British BBC’s Chinese Twitter account commented that Xi Jinping’s statement that the government “optimized and adjusted prevention and control measures according to the time and situation” was defending the authorities’ recent decision to abandon the “dynamic clearing” policy. However, Xi called on the people to maintain unity, "seemingly tactfully appease the country's growing public grievances caused by the epidemic prevention measures."

Some netizens interpreted Xi Jinping's congratulatory speech: "We have overcome unprecedented difficulties and challenges (I said yes or no); the epidemic prevention and control has entered a new stage (the stage of the dead); it is still a tight time (such as the crematorium); everyone adds Work hard (if you don’t die, die soon, if you can’t die, let me start work); persistence is victory (you persist, I win).”

Voice of America stated that the extreme epidemic prevention and containment measures of "dynamic clearing" were once Xi Jinping's so-called "life first" and "people first" political signs. For three years, the Beijing authorities have frequently closed the city, prohibited residents from going out, implemented large-scale quarantines, and conducted endless nucleic acid tests for all employees, causing serious humanitarian disasters and huge economic costs, and aroused widespread protests and public grievances.

At the end of November, collective protests broke out in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and many other cities, demanding that the authorities lift the blockade, and even shouted "the Communist Party stepped down" and "Xi Jinping stepped down." This movement, known as the "Blank Paper Revolution", quickly received responses and support from overseas Chinese.

The Beijing authorities took measures to suppress the protesters in the country, but on 7 December 2022, the authorities made a sudden 180-degree turn, abandoned the zero-clearing epidemic prevention policy, fully relaxed the epidemic prevention control, and implemented the "co-existence with the virus" that the government had always resisted before the epidemic prevention mode but this triggered a tsunami-like outbreak of the epidemic in China.

Under the impact of this wave of epidemics, Xi Jinping's 2023 New Year's greetings have attracted the attention of the outside world. Compared with the New Year's greetings of the previous two years, Xi Jinping's related expressions on China's epidemic prevention and control are completely different.

In his New Year's message in 2022, Xi Jinping mentioned the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics held under the epidemic, saying that more people should participate in ice and snow sports. "The world is looking forward to China, and China is ready."

In his New Year's message in 2021, Xi Jinping stated that in the face of the sudden covid outbreak, he wrote the so-called "epic of fighting the epidemic".

As early as September 2020, when the world was still fighting the CCP virus epidemic, Xi Jinping hosted a national protest commendation conference in Beijing, claiming to have achieved major results in the so-called fight against the epidemic. However, after 3 years, all countries in the world have released epidemic prevention and control and resumed normal life but CCP China has experienced a full-scale outbreak of the epidemic, the number of infections and deaths has surged, hospitals are overcrowded, medicines are scarce, funeral parlors have long queues, and corpses are burned 24 hours a day and cremation cannot  finish all the corpses.

These chaos have caused dissatisfaction among the Chinese people. A recording of a call made by a Beijing resident to a hotline has been circulated on the Internet.

Xi Jinping also implicitly admitted in his 2023 New Year's message that the Chinese people have different views on the authorities' policies, "this is normal", which aroused heated discussions among netizens: "It's rare to speak softly, and I really feel guilty." "Since the Chinese are 'different appeals, different views', how can we 'think in one place, use force in one place'?" "More than 1.4 billion Chinese people can overthrow the Communist Party of China with one mind and one force."

"The core essence of the CCP is to tell lies with open eyes. It is normal for different people to have different views on a matter, but the CCP does not allow others to say different opinions. Those who oppose it are given tea and admonished, was provoked, committed suicide and jumped from a building, subverted the regime, etc..."

On 29 December 2022, Zhang Wenhong, a CCP epidemic prevention expert, said that during the Chinese New Year, the infection rate in China will reach 80%, calling on the public to reduce gatherings. However, according to the feedback from netizens from all over the mainland on social media, almost every family in all parts of the country has been infected. The infection rate should exceed 90%, and there are a large number of severe patients.

At present, both urban and rural areas in CCP China are facing serious medical shortages. Insufficient hospital beds and treatment equipment, lack of medicines, a large number of medical staff fell ill due to the epidemic, understaffed, the number of severe cases and deaths continued to soar. The Chinese people are in panic, and the whole of CCP China is shrouded in an atmosphere of fear and sorrow.

Many commentators predict that this rare wave of outbreaks in CCP China is likely to push the CCP government into the abyss of collapse.

New Taipei Mayor Hou Youyi attended the New Taipei City New Year's Flag Raising Ceremony yesterday, and spoke freely about the international situation for the first time in his speech. Hou said that in the face of the Ukrainian-Russian War, the Sino-US competition, and the international situation with clear global tariff barriers, Taiwan must unite with the outside world and play a key role in globalization. "We are definitely not pawns of a powerful country." The higher structure is quite a sign of the 2024 presidential position. In this regard, Hou Youyi responded on 2 January 2023 that Taiwan has a very important strategic position, and "we must unite, regardless of you and me, to safeguard the stability and prosperity of this land".

Hou Youyi mentioned international issues in his talk yesterday, and pointed out that under the international situation of the Russia-Ukraine War, Sino-US competition, and global tariff barriers, confrontation, conflict, intensified inflation, and rising prices, Taiwan cannot stay out of it and must unite externally, unite the centripetal force and play a key role in globalization, "We are definitely not pawns of a powerful country!"

In order to prepare for the 2024 presidential election, it was reported that Hou Youyi had recruited international and diplomatic scholars to "make up lessons". In this regard, Hou Youyi responded that New Taipei City was originally a microcosm of Taiwan. In the past four years, there have been frequent international city diplomacy and mutual visits between sister cities. As an international city, New Taipei will also link up the common interests of northern Taiwan and make Taiwan better.

Zhao Shaokang, chairman of China Broadcasting Group, mentioned that if the DPP did not give up Taiwan independence, it is impossible to "peacefully protect Taiwan." Hou Youyi said that Taiwan has very important international geo-relationships and an important strategic position, and Taiwan must continue to unite internally, regardless of you or me, to safeguard the stability and prosperity of this land.

Difficulty urinating and suffering from "leukemia"! There are 6 symptoms that are dangerous, those younger than 50 years old may suffer

The 83-year-old Grandpa Chen had difficulty urinating for a long time. He went to the hospital and found that he had urinary tract stones. As a result, during the preoperative examination, the doctor accidentally found that the number of white blood cells was abnormal, and the liver and spleen were slightly enlarged. After being referred to the Department of Hematology and Oncology for further examination, the diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic leukemia was made.

Physicians said that chronic lymphocytic leukemia is different from ordinary cancers. As long as it is detected and treated early, it is like the existence of three high-level chronic diseases. With treatment in the early and middle stages, the average survival time is at least about 7 years, and the public does not need to be afraid.

News (26)

Diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic leukemia does not require treatment

"Patients have almost no relevant symptoms before the diagnosis, which is also the common situation of most patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia." Huang Weihan, deputy director of the Immunotherapy Department of Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital Stem Cell and Precision Medicine Research and Development Center, said that chronic lymphocytic leukemia is a kind of slowly progressing disease. About 150 to 200 new cases are added every year in Taiwan. In the past, the average age of onset was 70 years old. In recent years, it has become younger. Some patients are diagnosed at the age of 50 to 60.

No obvious symptoms in the early stage of chronic lymphocytic leukemia

Patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia will experience abnormal proliferation of lymphocytes, and there are no obvious symptoms in the early stage of the disease. Huang Weihan pointed out that if there are no symptoms, the patients only need to follow up regularly, and some patients even have no progress in the disease for 10 years. It didn't affect life either. Among the newly diagnosed patients, only 10% to 20% of the patients need to start treatment if they have symptoms or the disease progresses rapidly.

The stages of chronic lymphocytic leukemia revealed

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia is divided into stages 0-4. In stage 0, the number of lymphocytes in the blood is relatively high, but there are no disease-related symptoms, and the progress is slow; in stage 1, in addition to the proliferation of lymphocytes in the blood, the lymph glands are also slightly enlarged than normal ; Stage 2, increased lymphocytes in the blood, hepatosplenomegaly, and lymph glands may be enlarged compared to normal; stage 3, in addition to the increase in the number of lymphocytes in the blood, accompanied by anemia, lymph glands, liver, and spleen are all swollen than normal and large; stage 4, in addition to the symptoms of stage 3, there is also the problem of low platelets.

News (29)

The degree of malignancy affects treatment decisions, and the appearance of symptoms is also the key

"Not only the stage of the disease, but also the determination of the degree of malignancy is an important part of evaluating the treatment." Huang Weihan shared that if the malignancy of chronic lymphocytic leukemia is high, the progress will be faster. The common symptoms of patients include night sweats, inexplicable fever, inexplicable weight loss, fatigue, enlarged lymph nodes, anemia, etc. Therefore, if patients develop relevant symptoms during the follow-up period, they need to be carefully evaluated and treated.

The treatments of chronic lymphocytic leukemia in Taiwan

Huang Weihan explained that the drug treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia can use the first-line oral chemotherapy paid by the national health insurance according to the severity of the disease, or use the monoclonal antibody target drug combined with chemotherapy as the most ideal treatment combination.

News (31)

Average survival time is at least about 7 years

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia is different from general cancers. As long as the patient is found and treated early, it is like the existence of three high-level chronic diseases. With treatment in the early and mid-term, the average survival time is at least about 7 years. It reminds the public not to be afraid. If there is any suspicion of related problem should seek medical attention as soon as possible, and discuss with the physician to determine the most ideal treatment.

How many people in China have died from the Wuhan pneumonia epidemic has always been a mystery. According to official data, since the anti-epidemic measures were loosened on 7 December 2022, the number of deaths in China from the Wuhan pneumonia epidemic has only been a dozen. Yin Li, member of the Political Bureau of Xinke and secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, presided over the Beijing Wuhan pneumonia epidemic prevention and control meeting on 1 January 2023 and expressed serious doubts about CCP's covid death rate.

According to the report of the French Radio and Television (RFI), although Yin Li did not mention the specific figures, he seems to have indirectly revealed that the mortality rate of elderly patients caused by the new wave of epidemics in Beijing is not low. His statement is as low as that announced by the Chinese government. The almost non-existent epidemic death figures are clearly contradictory.

According to the report, is it because the Beijing authorities are incompetent and unable to find out, or is there a mechanism to conceal the details of the epidemic, or both? The outside world does not know.

Liang Wannian, an official Chinese epidemic prevention expert, pointed out on 29  December 2022, "During the epidemic and rapid transmission period, it is difficult to accurately judge the case fatality rate and death rate. Only after the epidemic cycle has passed can a more accurate judgment be made." His The statement raises doubts. How many people die from the Wuhan pneumonia epidemic every day can be announced immediately, and there is no need to wait until the epidemic cycle has passed.

Some Chinese doctors are pressured to provide misleading causes of deaths for their patients

There are also signs that some doctors in China have been pressured to provide causes of death for their patients. A report by The New York Times on 30 December 2022 quoted doctors from a private hospital in Beijing as saying that they were asked to "try not to write about respiratory failure caused by severe novel coronavirus pneumonia" as the main cause of death.

The report said that because of the outbreak of the covid tsunami at a geometric level, the death toll was very large, and some very abnormal phenomena also supported this view. For example, the funeral home in Handan praised that the cremation was overfulfilled, the funeral home in Guangzhou postponed the acceptance of deaths after 10 January 2023, and the corpse-carrying convoy outside the Beijing crematorium formed a long line, because they could not burn it, they were forced to queue up in Tongzhou and other places. In addition, only based on the obituaries that have been released, the number of famous people who died of illness in Beijing alone is quite concentrated in a short period of time, and the cause of death is unknown.

Breaking through the police blockade, Nanjing people lay flowers at the bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen

On 1 January 2023, a netizen reposted the video saying that something unprecedented happened in Nanjing on New Year's Eve. A large number of people rushed to the square to lay flowers at the bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen.

A netizen said, “It turns out that the Xinjiekou Square in Nanjing is like this: the police first blocked the crowd and forbade them from entering the most central statue of Sun Yat-sen. But the crowd flocked to break through the police blockade and go up to lay flowers. In the end, the sea of people swallowed up the CCP’s police. Since the Blank Paper Revolution, there have been many phenomena of non-compliance with police regulations in various places, which is a manifestation of the weakening of the CCP’s authority.”

Sun Yat-sen is known in China as the "Father of the Nation" and "The Great Forerunner of the Chinese Democratic Revolution". He advocates the sharing and common progress of Chinese and world civilizations.

Some netizens lamented, "Young people of this generation are enlightened, so it's not easy to fool around."

Regarding this, Cai Xia, a former professor at the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China, tweeted, “Citizens celebrating the New Year spontaneously and unanimously flocked around the bronze statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. This has never been seen before. To commemorate Mr. Sun Yat-sen, the hearts of the people are back and forth. There's been a big change! It's a big deal."

"Fireworks Revolution" exploded in Henan, people overturned police cars

On New Year's Eve, rare "firework revolutions" broke out in many places in China. People openly defied the CCP's ban and set off fireworks to celebrate the New Year.

That night in the city of Xuchang, Henan Province, some citizens set off fireworks on the street, but were immediately stopped by the police who arrived. However, soon someone lit fireworks not far away, attracting cheers from the crowd.

According to Xuchang City's "Notice on the Prohibition of Fireworks and Firecrackers in the Whole Region", starting from February 7, 2020, fireworks and firecrackers are prohibited in the whole region. Violators may be fined 100-500 yuan and administratively detained for less than 15 days.

In Luyi County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province, on the evening of the 2nd, during the New Year’s Eve celebrations, the local people who were setting off fireworks were stopped by the police and some people were arrested. Thousands of people then surrounded the police and demanded their release. Fierce clashes broke out, and the police car was smashed and overturned. Finally, the SWAT firefighters entered the scene and arrested several young people.

Another video showed that people in other parts of China also set off fireworks on New Year's Eve. Faced with the police's stop, the people continued to set off fireworks.

The unanimous fireworks display by people in many places in China was called by netizens as the "firework revolution" that erupted among the Chinese people after the "blank paper revolution". This was "an alternative resistance of the Chinese people."

"Elite Forum": China is on the eve of major changes

As more and more people dare to openly confront the CCP, this change in public opinion has aroused public attention, and even resonated with many Chinese people. In response to the question "Why did I go with you?" when the public questioned the police face to face, some netizens said, "This is a good question! The legitimacy of the CCP regime has disappeared!"

Some netizens also said, "The people are not afraid of death, so why are they afraid of it! When the suffering is unbearable and the people have no way to retreat, they will no longer be afraid, and the tools of violence will be wiped out. May 2023 be the year of truth Dabai, the building of lies be collapsed, the communist Marxist-Leninist will be eliminated, and democratic China will be restored!"

Another netizen commented on Twitter, "Many Chinese companies have gone bankrupt, and 30% of young people are unemployed. The society is definitely a pile of dry wood and fire, which can be ignited at any moment."

Facing the changes in Chinese society, experts from Elite Forum believe that the credibility of the CCP government has completely collapsed, and officials are collectively lying flat. Coupled with the unprecedented weakening of social control and the rise of various marginal forces, China is on the eve of major changes.
