At 12.15 pm on 15 December 2024, flight CF283 took off from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport with 28.458 tons of cross-border e-commerce and manufacturing enterprise cargo, and arrived safely at Dhaka International Airport in Bangladesh at 3.21 pm, marking the official opening of China Postal Airlines's "Chengdu-Dhaka" all-cargo international route. The route utilizes B757-200F aircraft to fly twice a week, running on Wednesdays and Sundays. Flights will be added later according to demand.
The "Chengdu-Dhaka" route opened this time is the first international route opened by China Postal Airlines in Sichuan Province, and the first international route of China Post to reach South Asia, which is of milestone significance. It marks that China Post has taken a solid step in laying out the international freight market in the southwest region and in building an air artery and service platform for the economic and trade development of the southwest region connecting South Asian countries. At the same time, it is also an important measure for China Post to integrate into the "Southward Opening" development pattern of Sichuan Province and promote the construction of Chengdu International Aviation Hub, which will further improve the logistics time limit level of foreign trade, cross-border e-commerce, and manufacturing enterprises in the southwest region.
The opening of this route to Bangladesh also reflects that with the rapid development in recent years, China Post's international influence has been increasing day by day. It has taken the initiative to undertake national strategies and help promote the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road" cooperation between China and Bangladesh.
It is also reported that the "Chengdu-Dhaka" route is the second "Postal Assistance to Overseas Chinese" route opened after the "Yancheng-Incheon". The "Postal Assistance to Overseas Chinese" route is an international cargo aviation line coordinated by China Post Group Co., Ltd. and the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, aiming to provide strong guarantees for China to deepen opening-up cooperation and promote high-quality development of foreign trade. In the future, "Yancheng-Kansai", "Qingdao-Incheon", "Qingdao-Chubu" and other "Postal Assistance to Overseas Chinese" routes will be launched one after another.
