According to Kazakhstan News Agency, Maksat Kariyakparov, Deputy Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, said that Kazakhstan plans to open more new flights in 2025 and purchase more aircraft to meet aviation demand.
In 2024, Kazakhstan has opened 22 international routes. According to the plan, 10 more flights will be added in 2025, including routes to European cities such as Budapest, Munich and Rome. At the same time, 18 new aircraft are planned to be purchased in 2025, while 10 aircraft have been introduced in 2024, providing the necessary transportation support for the expansion of routes.
The deputy minister also mentioned that the development of domestic flights will depend on the funding situation. He pointed out, "We plan to vigorously develop domestic flights and provide subsidies for these flights. Local governments will submit applications, and once the source of funds is determined, we will open more domestic routes."
Kariyakparov further explained that there is no technical problem in opening international and domestic flights, and the main challenge lies in funding. As long as the financing problem is solved, the expansion of flights and the opening of new routes will proceed rapidly.
