Covi traceability now has an open door! "Key common points" found in bats in Laos
Reported by / Editor : Lai Huijin / news.tvbs.com.tw/world/1588475

After the global outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia (Wuhan pneumonia, COVID-19, Covid-19, Covid, covid) in January 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) has conducted investigations in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, where the virus originated, and the United States has also studied the source of covi. France has also launched operations recently.
Relevant investigators from France discovered in a limestone cave in northern Laos that the three types of coronaviruses in local bats are actually closely related to the novel coronaviruses (covi) infected by humans, and they speculated that they may be the closest to the ancestral virus.
Image : Studies have pointed out that the three coronaviruses in bats are by far the closest ancestors of covi. (Schematic/shutterstock Dazhi Image)
According to a report by Bloomberg, scientists from the Pasteur Institute in Paris, France, and researchers from the University of Laos set out to investigate and found hundreds of horseshoe bats in limestone caves in northern Laos. The three types of coronaviruses, namely BANAL-52, BANAL-103, and BANAL-236, are very similar to the covi, and are highly consistent with the receptor-binding domains of the covi spinous protein in the structure.
Marc Eloit, a scholar at the Pasteur Institute in charge of this research, said that these three viruses are the most likely ancestors of the covi so far. They may be the origin of covid and may even be directly transmitted to humans in the future. In humans, the viral receptor binding region binds to human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) to cause infection.
The results of this research project were published in the international authoritative academic journal "Nature" on 17 September 2021, and boldly assumed that the covi originated from bats and existed in nature. In addition, the research also pointed out that three types of coronaviruses were found in northern Laos. Compared with RaTG13 previously found in horseshoe bats in Mojiang Mine, Yunnan Province, China, its receptor binding region is closer to the covi.

Frequent cases of covid confirmed by animals in the United States
According to the latest data released by Johns Hopkins University, the United States has a total of 4,047,599 confirmed cases and a total of 673,441 deaths.
On 17 September 2021 local time, the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, U.S. stated that the covi test results of 6 lions and 3 tigers in the park were "presumed positive" (the tested samples tested positive in some laboratories. But it has not been confirmed by the authority), these animals are being treated.
According to the park, these animals have been treated as confirmed cases for close observation; due to keeping a sufficient distance from the animals, people visiting the park are not at risk of infection; other animals in the park have not shown signs of infection. In addition, the park has investigated people who had been in close contact with these ligers, but the source of infection has not yet been found.
Prior to this, many cases of animal infections with covi have been reported in many places in the United States.
From March to April 2020, the Bronx Zoo in New York City confirmed that its five tigers and three lions were infected with covi. In January of this year, several gorillas at the San Diego Wildlife Park in California tested positive for covi. This is the first time that a non-human primate has been infected with covi. The Atlanta Zoo in Georgia, USA confirmed on 14 September 2021 that at least 18 out of a total of 20 gorillas in the park have been diagnosed with covi. The park said that there is no sign that gorillas can transmit covi to people.
The website of the British journal Nature recently reported that when researchers from the US Department of Agriculture conducted a study on the covi antibody analysis of some white-tailed deer serum samples in the northeastern United States, they found that one-third of the white-tailed deer sampled had antibodies related to covi. This indicates that they have been infected with covi.
According to the latest data from the US Department of Agriculture, as of13 September, there were 248 confirmed cases of animal covid across the United States. Among them, the top three animals in the number of confirmed cases were cats, dogs, and tigers.

Britain relaxes entry policy in England
On the 17th, the British government announced a substantial relaxation of the entry policy in England. From October 4 this year, it will abolish the current entry and epidemic prevention "signal light" system, simplify the number of entry tests for new crowns, and promote the development of the tourism industry.
According to reports, starting from 4 October 2021, the UK will only distinguish between countries and regions on the "red" list, and other countries and regions: only those who enter from countries and regions on the "red" list must be quarantined at designated hotels for 10 days and undergo nucleic acid testing; For travelers from countries and regions not on the "red" list who are fully vaccinated with the new crown vaccine, entry restrictions such as testing and quarantine will be gradually relaxed. In addition, from 22 September 2021, 8 countries including Turkey and Egypt will be removed from the "red" list.
Data released by the British government on the 17th showed that there were 32,651 newly diagnosed cases in the country in a single day, with a total of 7,371,301 confirmed cases; 178 new deaths and a total of 134,983 deaths.
Fennell, chairman of the German Education Union, said on the 18th that the autumn and winter epidemics may lead to a new round of school blockade. He emphasized: "Politicians must now ensure that we do not experience the same things as last winter." The German Education Union is dissatisfied with the school's current epidemic prevention measures and criticized the school for still lacking comprehensive PCR testing (nucleic acid testing). Currently, most schools in Germany only provide quick tests, but the results are often not accurate enough.
The health ministers of the German federal states have not recently formulated targeted preventive measures. Instead, they have decided to reduce the scope of isolation after confirmed cases are found in kindergartens and schools. In this regard, the Education Alliance admitted that if there are not enough PCR tests, air purifiers and staff, the school cannot guarantee that it will be able to adhere to offline teaching.

The General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China will suspend the importation of Taiwanese custard apple and jamboos from 20 September 2021 on the grounds of inspecting the harmful organism "Mealcocidae" today (19 September). In response, President Tsai Ing-wen said that this practice has violated international trade regulations. "Do you really have the intention to abide by international trade regulations?"
Regarding mainland China's unannounced suspension of importing Taiwanese custard apples and jamboos, Tsai Ing-wen posted on FB on the 19th. This practice has violated international trade norms. "In addition to solemn condemnation, we will support all the measures taken by the Executive Yuan Agriculture Committee, and will definitely protect agriculture and support farmers." Tsai Ing-wen said that she would support farmers.
In February this year, mainland China also used the same method to suspend the import of Taiwanese pineapples. Tsai Ing-wen pointed out that this one-sided violation of international trade norms is not the first time. “This kind of raid is obviously not for normal trade considerations.” In fact, not only Taiwan’s agricultural products are affected. Tsai Ing-wen mentioned that in recent years, including Australian wine and lobster, and even recently stopped approving the import license of Lithuanian agricultural products.
Various practices have made the international community suspect China, “Are you (China) really interested in international trade? Do you comply with international trade regulations?”
Tsai Ing-wen said that in order to help the production and marketing of pineapples, the pressure on farmers was relieved by opening up diversified markets, strengthening processing capabilities, and strengthening domestic demand.
After everyone’s concerted efforts, the production and sales of pineapples were not only stable this year. After deducting the cross-country export sales in August, "still an increase of 566% over the same period last year." Tsai Ing-wen posted a post.
Facing the raid on China's unilateral suspension of the import of custard apples and jamboods from Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen emphasized that Chen Jizhong, chairman of the Council of Agriculture, must be asked to minimize the impact on the farmers. "Please rest assured that in the face of unreasonable market intervention, the government will support the farmers to the end."
Finally, Tsai Ing-wen called on the ruling and opposition parties, "At this moment, we must be consistent with the outside world to minimize the market impact caused by deliberate political interference on the other side.", "We will also use various channels to help farmers get justice."

Reporters : Xu Penghang, Qiu Bingqing / Source : Xinhua News Agency via ScienceNet / http://news.sciencenet.cn/htmlnews/2021/9/465498.shtm
In order to further strengthen the disinfection of inbound passenger aircraft and reduce the risk of the spread and spread of covid through aviation channels, combined with the characteristics of the new crown virus and the current epidemic prevention and control situation, the State Council joint prevention and control The Mechanism Integration Team recently issued the "Work Plan for Disinfection of Inbound Passenger Aircraft."
The plan clearly divides the work of the departments and units involved in the disinfection of inbound passenger aircraft. According to the three links of pre-entry, entry, and post-entry, the process of disinfection of inbound passenger aircraft is sorted out, and the technical requirements for disinfection of inbound passenger aircraft are determined and specifically put forward clear requirements for strengthening organizational guarantees and strict security protection work.
The plan is clear that the disinfection personnel and waste removal and disposal personnel of inbound aircraft should strictly follow the safety protection requirements of "environmental cleaning and disinfection personnel" in the "Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Prevention and Control Program" of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council. Personal protection, strict pollution control and standardized wearing and taking off protective equipment to prevent occupational exposure risks. At the same time, these personnel are registered, centralized and closed management, health management "one person, one file" is implemented, nucleic acid testing is "one inspection a day", and vaccination is "full coverage".
Before entering the country, the airline is responsible for checking the international version of the health code, temperature testing, and symptom observation. If it is found that it does not meet the requirements for remote prevention and control, it will not be boarded. Strictly perform crew safety protection, passenger health inspections, broadcast reminder screening and disinfection at any time during the flight.
At the entry stage, the customs department is responsible for the sanitation and quarantine of inbound passenger aircraft and personnel. For high-risk flights and entry quarantine, inbound passenger aircraft with "symptomatic, suspected cases, confirmed cases, and asymptomatic infections" are reported to airlines. By issuing the "Inspection and Quarantine Treatment Notice", the airline can entrust a disinfection service agency approved by the entry-exit quarantine unit to carry out terminal disinfection of the pollutants generated by the aircraft and the above-mentioned four categories of personnel. The customs will supervise the above-mentioned terminal disinfection.
After entering the country, the customs will issue an entry quarantine certificate for the entry passenger aircraft, allow entry, complete the quarantine work, and report the entry quarantine situation to the local joint prevention and control mechanism. Subsequent customs detection of nucleic acid positive from entry personnel or the health and disease control departments determine confirmed cases, suspected cases and asymptomatic infections, they shall promptly notify the local joint prevention and control mechanism, and the local joint prevention and control mechanism shall organize the follow-up measures to be taken. During subsequent domestic operations, airlines will carry out preventive disinfection after the flight as required.

Chinese University of Science and Technology "Tocilizumab + conventional treatment" enters the seventh edition of the covid diagnosis and treatment plan
Completion unit: University of Science and Technology of China / http://news.sciencenet.cn/htmlnews/2021/8/463342.shtm
On 3 March 2020, the "Tocilizumab + conventional treatment" immunotherapy program developed by the joint research team of the Department of Life Sciences and Medicine of the University of Science and Technology of China and the First Affiliated Hospital was listed as a treatment method for severe and critical covid. Enter the "Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment Plan (Trial Seventh Edition)" to be promoted nationwide.
The plan pointed out, "For patients with extensive lung disease and severe patients, and laboratory tests of IL-6 (interleukin 6) levels are elevated, you can try tocilizumab therapy." This is the first time that immunotherapy has been used as a treatment for severe and critical cases in the program.
After the outbreak of covid, with the support of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Emergency Science and Technology Project in Anhui Province, the Wei Haiming team of the Chinese University of Science and Technology and the Xu Xiaoling team of the First Affiliated Hospital quickly carried out joint research and found that interleukin-6 (IL-6) was the cause, an important pathway for inflammatory storms in covid patients, and a new treatment plan of "tocilizumab + conventional treatment" has been proposed.
In the exploratory treatment carried out in Anhui Province, 20 patients with covid who used this treatment plan were cured and discharged. Among them, the fever patients had their body temperature reduced to normal within 24 hours after the medication, and the respiratory function and oxygenation index had varying degrees improve. With the overall deployment of the National Health Commission and the support of the Chinese Red Cross, as of 23 March 2020, 505 patients with covid in 14 designated hospitals in Wuhan have adopted this treatment plan, with good results and no serious adverse reactions. Existing clinical data suggest that this treatment plan can block the inflammatory storm to prevent patients from turning into severe and critical illness, and improve the prognosis of patients.

The hospital closed the clinic without mentioning the specific case situation, and the people were dissatisfied
On 19 September 2021, a reporter from The Epoch Times called Xiang'an Hospital affiliated to Xiamen University. The medical staff on duty denied that they had a positive infection and closed the clinic, but according to the requirements of the superior department as a fixed point to treat covid patients.
On the same day, a reporter from The Epoch Times called Xiamen Third Hospital. The operator told the third hospital that the specific infection situation of the third hospital was not clear. They just knew that the clinic was closed and they were responsible for making appointments.
Earlier on the Internet, the Third Hospital tested positive for more than 200. On 14 September, the police dismissed the rumours and said that they would deal with the netizens who posted the rumours, but did not mention exactly what happened. Until 18 September, the hospital issued a statement. The closure announcement also did not mention specific circumstances.
In the morning of the same day, the Epoch Times reporter also called Xiamen Zhongshan Hospital. The other party informed that the general hospital of Zhongshan Hospital was closed, and the branch at Xiahe Road was not closed. They do not know how many people were infected. They are waiting for official notification.
An insider said publicly that a nurse at the fever clinic of Zhongshan Hospital was positive. She had recently been to the Department of Gastroenterology and Nuclear Medicine for an examination. She seemed to live in the Fanhua Building, and a building there was also sealed.
Netizens were dissatisfied and said, “If you don’t say why the announcement is made, you still need to explain to the netizens in the comment area.” “If you know what happens, you still need to pass the netizens. I’m also drunk. Can’t you say why the control is blocked? Covertly."

The spread of the epidemic escalates and the people panic
Before announcing the closure of the clinic, Xiamen Zhongshan Hospital sent a large number of medical staff to participate in nucleic acid tests in the local community on many occasions. At 7 am on the 14th, 138 medical staff were sent to 5 sampling points in the first batch of key epidemic areas (Siming District and Tong'an District), including Jinqiao Community, Songbai High School, Songbai No. 2 Primary School, Baojia Yufeng Square, and Wushipu Metro Exit B1, and it is the most dispatched of all hospitals.
Since the nurses in the fever clinic of Zhongshan Hospital have also visited other departments of the hospital, some netizens worry about how many people the nurses have to contact. There are a lot of people in Zhongshan Hospital every day, and it is really getting worse this time.
In response to the Epoch Times reporter’s consultation, the doctor on duty at Zhongshan Hospital said that this problem is not big because the medical staff who sampled are not necessarily infected and they all wear protective clothing. It’s good not to walk around, isolate yourself at home, leave a message and release the notice."
Some netizens are still dissatisfied and pointed out the strange part of the Xiamen epidemic and said, "Speechless! Why does the Xiamen case have no activity track? People are panicking."
On the 18th, a local netizen said that the Zhongshan Hospital was also blocked in the morning. Now two major hospitals have been blocked, and there are more and more blockades. The Alexander (pressure) Shanda on the island makes people tremble! The nearest blockade is less than 1 km away from the subway station where I commute to and from get off work every day.
Some netizens also said, “Xiamen seems to be getting more and more serious. I had a nucleic acid test before I got up early and went to the company. I heard that the Zhongshan Hospital next door had "won the lottery", and then I was told that I had become a close contact person again and again. Overnight, It seems that everything has begun to change."
In addition, Epoch Times reporters verified that local people learned that the commercial office building Jinyuan Building and Mingfa Commercial Plaza were closed before 17 September due to positive cases, but the official did not mention it.

Tong'an District has all suspended work and production
Mr. Li, a citizen of Tongan District, Xiamen, told The Epoch Times reporter that the entire Xiamen is now a medium-risk zone, and the community cannot visit each other. In the past, online shopping was delivered directly to the home, but now it can only be placed at the gate of the community and take it by yourself.
"If it is a close contact of a confirmed case, the community will come to the door to put a seal. The community service staff will deliver food and then help take the garbage away. If the seal is torn off, the quarantine date will be calculated again." He said.
The place where Mr. Li works is also in Tong'an District. They have all stopped production on the 17th. He also said that Xiamen Third Hospital is located in Tong'an District, and it is understandable that the problem is now closed.
According to the official confirmed case data, many people have been to the fever clinic of the Third Hospital in recent days.
He emphasized that in Xiamen, China, the vaccination rate is the highest, but this time the covi vaccine has no effect, hoping to reduce severe illness.
"Fears are certain. Xiamen is also very unlucky. In August, the captain of XiamenAir passed the epidemic, which infected 6 people. After 14 days, he was released without infecting others. This time the epidemic from Putian, the epidemic spread. The outbreak is very fast, and now the most serious epidemic in the country is the Xiamen epidemic." He said.

Nucleic acid sampling sites lack manpower
Because the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University, the Affiliated Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Xiamen University, and the Third Xiamen Hospital are all large local hospitals, these hospitals have ceased to have clinics one after another, resulting in an extraordinary shortage of medical staff. Some local people reported that the sampling point they went to was a nucleic acid test in five communities, but they found that there were only six nucleic acid sampling personnel, so that there were long queues, especially in the high-risk area, Tong'an, which could not guarantee one test point per community.
At noon on 19 September, Mr. Li, a citizen of the middle risk zone in Tong'an, told the Epoch Times reporter that the high-risk zone now has a nucleic acid test once a day, while the medium-risk zone used to talk about a two-day nucleic acid test. notify. On the 18th, he just did the second nucleic acid test.
He also emphasized that the entire Xiamen is now a medium-risk zone.
The Epoch Times reporter called Xiamen Xianyue Hospital and learned that because most of the hospital's medical staff go out to support nucleic acid testing and sampling, the hospital currently only reserves emergency doctors on duty and dispensing medicines, and all others are temporarily suspended. And this state will continue for a while. It's not that the hospital stopped with a positive case. According to public information, the hospital is a third-level and B-level psychiatric hospital in Xiamen.
The Epoch Times reporter called Xiamen Children's Hospital, and the medical staff on duty also informed that the hospital’s nucleic acid testing department was suspended. If nucleic acid testing is to be done, all the communities will do it. Other departments of the hospital are operating normally. The reporter asked why the testing department needed to be suspended, but the other party did not respond positively.

The covid epidemic in Fujian Province has spread rapidly, and the number of new local cases in Putian and other places continues to soar. The youngest confirmed case is a five-years-old child of a kindergarten. Citizens in Putian accused the local government ineffective in fighting the epidemic, and the people had nowhere to ask for help. Interviewees said that for the locals, this was a major disaster.

From 10 to 18 September, Fujian Province has reported a total of 335 local confirmed cases.
Since the Chinese Communist Party has always concealed the truth about the epidemic, the outside world generally questioned the number of the epidemic.
Xianyou County, under the jurisdiction of Putian, Fujian Province, reported the outbreak on 10 September , and 6 cases of people with positive nucleic acid tests were found in the county. The county has closed and controlled the five villages of Xinan, Xibei, Jianguo, Putou and Xiufeng in Fengting Town where they live.

People in Xianyou County other than the above-mentioned areas are not allowed to leave the county. Those who really need to enter and leave the county must have a medical or specific official (township) certificate, a negative nucleic acid test within 48 hours, and a green code of health code.
On 18 September, the Epoch Times reporter interviewed Li Ting (pseudonym), a female college student in isolation in her hometown in Putian and currently studying at Beijing Sport University. She said that the Putian epidemic is a major disaster for the locals.
Li Ting said that she returned to Beijing Sport University from Xianyou County on 4 September. After the outbreak in Putian was reported, she was quarantined from 12 September. The isolated hotel is next to the school. "We pack our things ourselves and wear masks to the school gate. We will be quarantined for 21 days." She said that all those who returned to the school from Xianyou County were required to be quarantined for three weeks.
Li Ting said that about 40 people in her group said they were quarantined, including those in the Putian area, as well as those in Xiamen and Quanzhou. People in areas outside of Xianyou County were required to quarantine for 14 days.
Li Ting said that she is more worried about her family. Basically, people in my hometown have done 5 to 10 nucleic acid tests. Do it every other day or two. The child is also asked to do it.
Li Ting introduced that her father was a cadre in the town. Report up on the local situation every day. One of her brothers is a local volunteer. The main task is the coordination of materials, delivering meals or delivering anti-epidemic items such as masks every day. Because of the shortage of manpower, the daily workload is very large.
According to Putian’s official report on the 18th, the city reported 21 new local confirmed cases, all in Xianyou County and this round of epidemic has involved many local schools in Putian.
Since 10 September, Putian has reported a total of 178 local confirmed cases, all of whom are currently hospitalized. Among them, there were 177 cases in Xianyou County and 1 case in Licheng District. The oldest of the confirmed cases is 70 years old. Many elementary school students were diagnosed, and the youngest is a kindergarten child who is only five years old.
From 12 September, 19 new local confirmed cases were added in Putian; 17 new local asymptomatic infections were added. Among them, there are 15 students in Putou Primary School.
Li Ting said that the epidemic spread in an elementary school at the beginning. People in the village where this elementary school is located are all required to be quarantined, and there are at least thousands of people in total. Seals are posted in some places. The government has also installed cameras in front of every household to monitor whether the villagers are going out.
Li Ting believes that the earliest infected persons in this wave of the epidemic were the students and their parents of the above-mentioned elementary schools, which later spread to the village where the school is located. "A cousin of mine happens to live in this village. She and her husband are both isolated."
"The quarantined people in Fengting Town are basically taken to schools, factories or hotels in different areas of Putian City." Li Ting said, "I have a relative in the local area and are quarantined in a school." She said, "The conditions of some isolation points are very poor, and the government's management is not in place."
Li Ting revealed that the local schools have closed classes except for the third year of high school.
Li Ting also said that people in Fengting Town who are isolated at home are not allowed to go out. Volunteers give them daily necessities. Many local young people are working in other places, and now they can't go back if they want to go back. Every local intersection is guarded by staff, which means that people are not allowed to pass freely.
Li Ting pointed out that the number of confirmed cases in Putian has skyrocketed, and the local government's response to the epidemic has been slow.
On the Internet, many netizens complained about the Putian authorities' ineffective fight against the epidemic, "It's too bad!"
Netizens "eating round and round" posted on Weibo that Fengting Town is 6 km away from my home and is a high-risk area where there are relatives of my colleagues. The situation there is really difficult. The countryside is full of left-behind old people and children. Young adults are working in other places. At this time, there is a serious shortage of manpower and incompetent leaders. It is really chaotic.
The Putou Village organized the quarantine this time and did not arrange the quarantine location in advance. The bus driver took a car to turn around, and no school hotel was willing to accept it. This scene seems familiar, not last year's Wuhan! History repeats itself again, and the conditions in the countryside cannot keep up with the equipment and materials. Seeing everyone in the circle of friends asking for help, I feel pained, angry and powerless. "Where has such a large-scale infection occurred in rural areas? The rural population is densely populated, conditions and resources are backward, most of them are the elderly and children, and the labor force is insufficient. It is too difficult!"
Another post on "Eating round billowing billowing" stated that I had posted several Putou Primary School messages before, but they were all blocked and banned from being forwarded. They were too difficult.
"Stealing the little red flower in October" said that I can only take care of myself, I feel really bad!
The netizen "w stars will shine" said that I was really angry. The residents of Fengting Township are not in their hometowns now. Last night I heard that everyone (residents) went to quarantine, and thought that the government finally took action, but I heard that (residents) were sent back again!

Injustice for Fujian's "Patient Zero"
Image : The video column of the mainland media "Beijing News" provided a voice platform for the so-called "patient zero" in this round of the epidemic in Fujian to help them complain about inbound cases. (Network screenshot)
After the current round of the covid outbreak in Fujian, Lin XX, a returnee from Singapore, was quickly designated as "patient zero" by CCP state media. Then he was harassed by phone calls and "Internet violence" for nearly a week. He finally broke his silence and shouted grievances to the CCP media, arousing public sympathy. Some people also questioned the official dumping of the pot to inbound cases. On the 16th, a mainland expert changed his statement. He now says that Lin XX did not import the virus from Singapore, and that Lin was infected during the domestic quarantine period.

Patient Zero suffers from cyber violent "emergency call"
Lin XX, who was designated by the state media as the “patient zero” of this round of the epidemic, after being silent for nearly a week, shouted injustice to the “emergency call” of the “Beijing News” hot news section on 15 September, “I was scolded every day. There are still people scolding me now."
It is reported that he received a large number of harassing calls after the release of his circulation information, and some netizens once said that he took women to open rooms in hotels. He emphasized that after his quarantine period after returning to China on 4 August was fulfilled in accordance with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, he had only one time to go out and contact people after completing the 28-day quarantine. Lin XX also said that he can still bear being wronged, "It's mainly children, and children will not have a good life in the future."
After his grievances were reported on Weibo, many people felt sympathy and believed that he was not wrong. At the same time, some netizens expressed doubts about the official statement.
Before Putian conducted a nucleic acid test on the local Putou Primary School students on 9 September, they found that two students were positive. After the expanded test the next day, four more people were found to be positive, including Lin XX and his children. Lin XX is the only person among the top six confirmed cases who has been to Singapore recently. The official media deliberately highlighted this in the report and claimed that the experts had judged that Lin XX was suspected to be the source of the epidemic.
Lin XX had entered the country for 38 days before he was diagnosed on 10 September. Such a long incubation period is unusual. According to the research results announced by the Guangzhou medical team not long ago, the median incubation period of the Delta variant strain is only 4.7 days.
In addition, Lin entered the Xiamen airport from Singapore on 4 August 2021 and was quarantined for 14 days. After returning to Xianyou County, he continued to be quarantined for 7 days, and then quarantined at home for another 7 days, for a total of 28 days. During this period, a total of 9 nucleic acid tests and 1 serum test were performed, and the results were all negative.

Civilian suspicion: the official launch of "Patient Zero"
Not only did Beijing News provide a platform for this so-called "patient zero" to speak out, many local people also openly expressed sympathy for him, believing that he abides by the epidemic prevention and control regulations and he does not want to infect others. There are also some people who openly questioned the official statement, implying that the official lied.
The local Mr. Huang also told The Epoch Times, “According to general logical thinking, I know that Lin XX is definitely not the source of this epidemic, because he has been quarantined for 28 days after returning to China. Many people on the Internet have been guided and scolded him because the official initially characterizes him as the 'source'. We can feel that many people on the Internet are blindly scolding him."
Mr. Huang believes that “the most likely thing is that he contracted the virus after returning to China” and “the most normal and reasonable doubts must have been passed on to him by others in the country.”
He thinks there is still a suspicion as to why he was able to get so many infections as soon as he tested positive on the 10th, and he had no problem for so long beforehand.
He introduced that the nucleic acid test is now done every other day, but the nucleic acid test itself is not accurate; he thinks there is another weird place, it’s okay if you don’t test it, as soon as the test is done, many cases will pop up, including Puxi, Yunnan and other places. It's all like this.
Mr. Huang believes that the CCP authorities try their best to import the content caused by the epidemic in various parts of the mainland. He emphasized that this is something the CCP must do, and said: "This topic is too sensitive."
Regarding the outbreaks in various parts of the mainland, the official name is mostly Delta. However, the speed and severity of this virus have also made many mainland people suspect that the Delta virus in India is too late to kill people, but the Chinese mainland almost did not announce any death, and the official has made a statement. It is estimated that the outbreak in Fujian will end within 20 days.
Mr. Huang said that from the beginning to the end, the CCP talked about what the virus is and what the situation is.

CDC expert said: Lin was infected during isolation
On 16 September, at a press conference held by the State Council’s Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism, a reporter asked questions about Lin XX’s case. Wang Huaqing, chief expert on the immunization program of the CCP’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention, replied that according to epidemiological investigations, there are still antibodies. Horizontal testing, especially based on a comparative analysis of gene sequencing, believes that “the case has a very high probability of being infected during the isolation period, which led to the occurrence of subsequent epidemics”.
Qin Peng, a political and economic analyst in the United States, pointed out that the "comparative analysis of gene sequencing" of the virus mentioned in the answer by China's disease control expert Wang Huaqing is critical. This technology can detect the relationship between different generations of the virus. This is a very strong evidence. It definitely answers that Lin XX was not infected overseas at all, but was caused by domestic isolation. Chang Rongshan, a virus expert at Shantou University, also holds a similar view. He also said to strengthen the management of quarantine points, especially small cities.
"Gene sequencing" is to determine the complete nucleic acid sequence from the bases in the virus, and then type them by comparing the database, so that the source of the virus can be locked.
This technology is being used in many places in China. In June, the Shenzhen CDC’s Novel Coronavirus Traceability Team told domestic media that sequencing is fast. “The country requires 72 hours for second-generation sequencing. After continuous optimization by our team, now The results of next-generation sequencing are available within 24 hours."

Analysis: The CCP’s consistent practice of dumping the pot overseas
However, it took almost a week from Lin XX's online violence to the expert's "disguise".
Qin Peng believes that the CCP has always wanted to dump the source of covid abroad. This practice was originally based on the so-called scientific basis provided by experts represented by Zhong Nanshan and ordered by the highest level of the CCP. In fact, it is not scientific research, but political qualitativeness.
This practice is not recognized in the domestic academic and medical circles in China. For example, according to a report on China News Network on 28 February 2020, Shanghai doctor Zhang Wenhong made it clear that if the source of the virus is a foreign country, it is impossible to just be in a city in China. The outbreak should be a multi-city outbreak, and he also said that he only recognizes "gene sequencing." However, such scientific voices are clearly in conflict with the CCP’s political leadership, so they are suppressed.
Now experts admit that Lin XX should have been infected during the domestic isolation period. Qin Peng believes that this means that they have found the real source, and that the source may also have other effects. Lin XX was chosen by the CCP as a victim of this wave of political operations only because he had been abroad.

A systematic review of ivermectin for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 infection
Report by : Deng Zhengliang (Director of Jide Chinese Medicine Clinic) / Editor : Li Wei / https://www.epochtimes.com/gb/21/9/19/n13243997.htm
According to a report in the American Journal of Therapeutics in July and August 2021 (Ivermectin for Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19 Infection: A Systematic Review, Meta- Analysis, and Trial Sequential Analysis to Inform Clinical Guidelines) pointed out that the reused antiparasitic drug ivermectin may have an effect on the covid virus SARS-CoV-2.
The data source retrieved the bibliographic database as of 25 April 2021. Two review authors screened the study, and 24 randomized controlled trials involving 3406 participants met the criteria for inclusion in the review.
Evidence found that ivermectin preventive measures reduced COVID-19 infections by an average of 86%. Moderate-quality evidence found that the use of ivermectin can significantly reduce the number of deaths from COVID-19. The use of ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce the number of people who progress to serious illness. Obvious safety and low cost indicate that ivermectin may be very helpful for the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
To date, few treatments have been proven to reduce the morbidity and mortality of COVID-19. Although corticosteroids have been shown to reduce mortality from serious diseases, there is little convincing evidence that interventions can prevent disease, reduce hospitalizations, and reduce the number of people who progress to critical illness and death.
Ivermectin is a well-known drug, approved by the World Health Organization and the US Food and Drug Administration as an antiparasitic drug, and is widely used to treat helminth infections in low- and middle-income countries. In the treatment of scabies and lice, it is one of the essential medicines of the World Health Organization. The total dose distribution of ivermectin is obviously equivalent to one-third of the population in the world today, and the usual dose of ivermectin (0.2~0.4 mg/kg) is considered extremely safe for use in humans. In addition to its anti-parasitic activity, it is now also noted that it has anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties, leading to more and more therapeutic indications.
Since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, many observational and randomized studies have evaluated ivermectin as a treatment and prevention method for COVID-19 infection. The Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Coalition (FLCCC) review summarized the following findings: It was concluded that ivermectin “shows a strong signal of therapeutic effect” for COVID-19. Another recent review found that ivermectin reduced the number of deaths by 75%. Despite these findings, the National Institutes of Health recently stated that “there is insufficient data to recommend or oppose the use of ivermectin to treat COVID-19,” and the World Health Organization (WHO) advises against Ivermectin is used outside of clinical trials.
Ivermectin has shown antiviral activity against a variety of RNA and some DNA viruses, such as Zika virus (ZIKV), dengue fever, and yellow fever (French: la fièvre jaune; English: Yellow Fever) Wait. Caly et al. demonstrated a specific effect on SARS-CoV-2 in vitro. Other speculative mechanisms include inhibition of protease necessary for virus replication, multiple anti-inflammatory effects, and competitive binding of ivermectin to viral spike protein The clinical mechanism may be multifaceted, or it may depend on the stage of the disease, and a comprehensive review of the mechanism of action is required.
It may take several years to develop new drugs; therefore, it is determined that existing drugs that can be reused for COVID-19 have established safety in decades of use and can be used to suppress or even play a key role in ending the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
At present, Ivermectin is available and affordable in many countries around the world. The 2018 results of ivermectin used to treat scabies showed that the direct cost of 100 12 mg tablets was US$2.90. For a 5-day course of ivermectin, the most recent estimated cost in Bangladesh is between US$0.6 and US$1.8. For these reasons, exploring the potential effectiveness of ivermectin for SARS-CoV-2 may be particularly important in resource-limited environments.
Ivermectin has been marketed in 1987 to treat many parasitic diseases in Africa, such as river blindness, elephant legs, scabies and other parasitic infections. It has been used globally for more than 3.7 billion doses for nearly 40 years. The record of drug-related adverse reactions in the World Health Organization (WHO) is also very good, and it is also listed as an essential medicine by the World Health Organization. Due to the huge contribution of ivermectin to human health, it is invented in two places. Japanese and American scholars and China's Tu Youyou (inventing artemisinin to treat malaria) both won the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine in 2015.
In addition to Slovakia, Ivermectin is currently adopted by many countries in the world, such as Bangladesh, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Dominican Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Lebanon, Nicaragua, Panama, Venezuela, Zimbabwe. In some countries, it is adopted in some regions or in other ways.
Ivermectin was originally a drug in Taiwan, but it was originally used to treat parasites and scabies. Dermatologists in Taiwan have also used it. The brand name Stromectol, each 3mg, the manufacturer is Merck and because its patent has long expired, there are generic drugs in the world. India has the most. There are at least 20 different generic drugs, each from 3mg, 6mg to 12mg or both.
