Haikou reports 1 new case of asymptomatic infection, is urgently looking for an asymptomatic infected person who have come in contact with Haikou Meilan Airport passengers

According to the press release of Haikou, on 18 February 2022, a Qiong personnel from the province had an abnormal nucleic acid test result at the Chengmai County People's Hospital. On 19 February, it was confirmed by the Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention as an asymptomatic infection. Chengmai County immediately launched an emergency plan, and implemented measures such as isolation and control of relevant personnel, control and disinfection of relevant places. Leaders and experts of the Provincial Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters rushed to the scene to guide the disposal work as soon as possible. At present, the person has been transferred to a designated hospital for treatment.

The preliminary flow survey results show that the person's activity trajectory is as follows:

On 17 February, with a negative nucleic acid test certificate, he took flight MF8341 to Haikou Meilan International Airport (1 hour and 45 minutes via Xiamen), and arrived at Haikou Meilan International Airport at about 2.50 pm. Immediately, he boarded a car to Minxing Community, Jinjiang Town, Chengmai County. At 6.40 pm, he took a private car to the hall of Shiwei Hall in Qianqiu Square, Jinjiang Town, and returned to Minxing Community of Jinjiang Town after the meal.

At 7.40 am on 18 February, he walked to the County People's Hospital wearing a mask all the way. At 8.55 am, he queued up for sampling at the nucleic acid sampling point of the hospital. After sampling, he walked to the breakfast shop next to the hospital (at the entrance of the power computer elevator) for breakfast. After the meal, he walked back to Minxing Community, Jinjiang Town, to wait for the results. After receiving a notification from the County People's Hospital that the nucleic acid test was abnormal, he was immediately transferred to the County People's Hospital for isolation and medical observation.

At night of 19 February, the Haikou Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued a notice on the search for a person with asymptomatic infection outside the terminal building of Meilan Airport.

An epidemiological investigation found that an asymptomatic covi infection reported by Chengmai County on 19 February 2022 was in Terminal 1 of Haikou Meilan International Airport from 3.16 pm to 8 pm on 17 February. About 20 m away from Gate 3 in the Arrival Hall, he turned his back to the left side of the gate, and smoked with 4 people at a close distance (see the attached picture for details). Please report to the community (village committee) as soon as possible after seeing the notice, and contact the local CDC to implement prevention and control measures according to relevant requirements.

The cost of clearing the epidemic and preventing the epidemic is high in China, CCP is studying epidemic prevention "in line with international standards"

Chinese Communist Party experts say they are studying new anti-epidemic policies in order to "align with the international standards." Critics pointed out that the "zero-covid policy" has reached a dead end, and Beijing will give up sooner or later but it may not be until after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

European and American countries are liberalizing their epidemic prevention policies and gradually turning to "coexistence with the virus". However, the CCP still insists on "zero-covid tolerance". This policy seriously affects the economy and people's livelihood but it is regarded as a treasure by the authorities and is widely publicized.

However, a forum held by Renmin University of China on 15 February 2022 claimed to have been working on "new ideas" for the authorities.

According to Lugang media reports, the theme of the forum is epidemic prevention policies. Liu Yuanchun, vice president of the National People's Congress, said in an online speech that he hopes to "open up some new ideas for our government and the people" when "the turning point of the epidemic is coming".

Wu Zunyou, chief epidemiologist at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said in his speech that with the relaxation of epidemic prevention measures in Europe and the United States, Beijing is faced with the choice of whether to change the "clearing" policy.

He said that if they continue to persevere, private enterprises and self-employed individuals will face enormous pressure to survive. But if it is completely released, "it is initially predicted that many people will be infected and die."

Wu Zunyou said that many teams in China are studying prevention and control measures that are neither different from the current "dynamic clearing" nor completely "flattening", trying to ensure the control of the epidemic and at the same time "in line with the international standards."

However he also said that such "measures have not yet come out."

Previously, Shi Shan, a commentator, analyzed in the program "Is there a mistake" that the CCP has tied the apparently unsustainable "zero-covid" policy to its political goals, which has actually put itself into a huge predicament. In the end, Beijing can only be forced to give up the reset, but it must wait for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China at the end of this year, and this year is enough time to cause great damage to the CCP economy.

During the recent Singapore Airshow 2022, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and ST Engineering Aerospace signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) through a PPP (Government-Private Partnership) model. Together they will promote the development and application of unmanned aerial vehicle technology in Singapore.

Under the MoU, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and ST Aerospace will jointly identify and determine the maturity of new technologies for unmanned aerial vehicles, such as autonomy and connectivity, and assess their value and feasibility to operate in Singapore. Through data sharing, joint trials and technical research, this collaboration will also facilitate the development of technical standards required for the safe introduction and operation of these new technologies. The two sides will also jointly enhance Singapore's unmanned aerial vehicle engineering and technical capabilities through technical exchanges and training programmes.

It is understood that the MoU builds on the earlier collaboration between the CAAS and ST Engineering Aerospace to research and develop new concepts, procedures and technologies to enable unmanned aerial vehicle operations beyond visual range operations (BVLOS), and develop a regulatory framework for the safety oversight of such operations in Singapore. Since then, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has authorized 34 routes for low-risk over-the-horizon operations, some of which ST Engineering Aerospace is using for routine flight operations to help the Public Utilities Board (PUB) observe water quality, monitor its six water activities such as fishing and boating in reservoirs.

XiamenAir successfully obtained the IATA ARM Index certification

Image : Researcher's Picture

On 17 February 2022, XiamenAir obtained the ARM Index (Airline Retailing Maturity Index, Airline Retailing Maturity Index) certification issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), becoming the first airline in the world to obtain the highest version number certification of the ARM Index, which marks XiamenAir's world-leading innovation, implementation and operation capabilities in the application of basic standards in the civil aviation industry, the construction of the air travel retail ecosystem, and the digitalization of marketing services.

ARM Index is a certification system launched by IATA to evaluate the maturity of airlines in the aviation retail field. The comprehensive upgrade of Order certification aims to help airlines transform from a traditional single ticket supplier to a new retailer of airline travel more quickly. In this ARM Index certification, XiamenAir passed the world's highest 21.1 version capability certification. Compared with the previous version, version 21.1 has greatly improved the lightweight, standardization and unification of business models. Passing the ARM Index certification will help airlines apply data exchange standards in the aviation industry, demonstrate their ability to carry out new retail transformation, and promote the construction of a new retail ecosystem for aviation and travel.

In recent years, XiamenAir has taken the initiative to transform and innovate, play a digital driving role, and promote the digital construction of marketing services. From a technical point of view, it will build a digital infrastructure that supports all services and end-to-end; from a business point of view, it will build a smart XiamenAir that is fully connected, intelligently sensed, and digitally driven. From the launch of the self-developed e-commerce platform in 2019 and obtaining the NDC Level 4 certification, obtaining the highest level of NDC@Scale certification in 2020 and joining the NDC Leader Board, obtaining the ONE Order certification in 2021, and then obtaining the ARM Index certification in 2022, XiamenAir continues to adopt an open mind, unite with IATA, partner airlines, local airports, platform agents and service providers to jointly build a value network based on digital technology connections, accelerate the expansion and construction of customers, products and platforms, and achieve complementary advantages to achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation in air travel ecology.

In the future, XiamenAir will actively build an open and cooperative ecosystem, integrate upstream and downstream service providers, and build a comprehensive, safe and reliable digital innovation capability; relying on core capabilities and brand resources, it will build a mutually-integrated and win-win "aviation +" ecosystem, and expand its ability to connect with the ecosystem of the air travel industry; focus on passenger itineraries, continue to improve the design of differentiated products and services, dig deep into the value of value-added services, and enhance business-oriented automated operation capabilities.
