Baiyun Airport: From 28 June 2022, please go to T2 for international flights

Baiyun T2 for international flights from 28 June 2022

From 12 on 28 June 2022, the departure process of international passenger flights at Baiyun Airport will all be transferred to Terminal 2. Baiyun Airport reminds passengers taking international departure flights not to arrive at the wrong terminal.

Currently, Terminal 2 has three entrances to the terminal, namely Gate 44 (for domestic passengers only), Gate 46 (for international passengers only) and GTC entrance on the third floor. From 12 am of 28 June, passengers who board international flights from Baiyun Airport need to check the green code of the health code at the entrance + normal body temperature detection + passenger identity information and ticket purchase information. Passengers are advised to prepare relevant documents in advance for future reference to save waiting time.

The check-in counters for international flights transferred to Terminal 2 are mainly located in the K and M check-in areas. Area K mainly handles Cathay Pacific, Malaysia Airlines, Kuwait Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, and Spring Airlines. Area M mainly handles Qatar Airways, Mahan Air, Batik Air Malaysia, Thai Lion Air, Myanmar Airways International, Cebu Pacific Air,, Iraqi Airways, All Nippon Airways, Scoot, US-Bangla Airlines, Lanmei Airlines, Asiana Airlines, Kenya Airways, Garuda Indonesia, SriLankan Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Cambodia Angkor Air, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Philippine AirAsia, Oman Air, Emirates, EgyptAir, Japan Airlines, Air Tanzania. Passengers can go to the corresponding counter for check-in according to the flight instructions.

Reminders:

1. Different overseas destinations have different requirements for epidemic prevention policies. Before traveling, passengers can log on to the airline's official website or call the airline's customer service hotline to check the latest flight requirements, and pay attention to the epidemic prevention and control instructions at the destination in time to avoid delaying the trip.

2. Transportation between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2: Passengers can take the free shuttle bus to Terminal 2 outside Gate 10 of Terminal 1, or board the free subway to get from Airport South Station ( T1)  to Airport North Station (T2).

A330-800neo will fly to Guangzhou!

According to reports, Uganda Airlines has already secured take-off and landing rights at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and will operate the route with its new Airbus A330-800neo aircraft, providing weekly service.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has authorized the launch of regular direct passenger flights between Uganda and China.

Uganda Airlines has a new fleet consisting of four Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft and two Airbus A330-800neo. At present, there are only four A330-800s in service in the world. In addition to the two of Uganda Airlines, the other two belong to Kuwait Airways while Air Greenland and Garuda Indonesia are also waiting for delivery.

The A330-800neo has 20 Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy Class seats, and 210 Economy Class seats. At present, Uganda Airlines uses A330-800 to fly Entebbe to and from Dubai, with a range of about 4,400km, while Kuwait Airways uses A330-800 to fly the longest route of about 5,300 km. With the successful launch of the Uganda-Guangzhou route, which will also be the longest route the A330-800 has flown so far.

Uganda Airlines has also announced that Entebbe-London flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays as long as it has a foreign airline license to operate in the UK. In addition to previously announced plans to fly to London Heathrow, the airline will also fly its A330-800s to Mumbai and Riyadh.
