It is reported that the US House of Representatives Speaker Pelosi is visiting Taiwan on 2 and 3 August 2022. It is reported that the special plane "SPAR19" suspected of carrying Pelosi took off from Malaysia at 3.42 pm, and the original route went all the way east. However, at about 7 pm Taiwan time, it finally "turned north", bypassing the South China Sea route and flying to the Philippines. The latest news pointed out that the destination of "SPAR19" has been displayed as "Taipei Songshan Airport" (TSA), and it has arrived in Taipei  Songshan Airport Songshan at 10.43 pm Taiwan time.

According to the aircraft tracking website "Flightradar24", the U.S. military plane "SPAR19" suspected of carrying Pelosi began to turn after passing over Indonesia at about 7.20 pm. However, the destination information displayed earlier on the official website was still marked as unknown, and it was not displayed as Taipei Songshan Airport until about 9.30 pm.

"United Daily News" quoted people in the aviation industry as saying that the route of Pelosi's special plane from Malaysia to Taiwan will be more eastward than the normal route, and it is possible to go northward through the eastern sea of the Philippines and reach Taiwan. At the same time, the Global Times reported that a Planet Labs remote sensing satellite captured a U.S. Burke-class destroyer operating alone in the waters east of the East Philippines at about 8:58 this morning.

Generally speaking, the direct flight from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei only takes about 4 hours, but Pelosi may choose to "detour" the route in order to avoid direct confrontation between China and the United States. It is expected that the special plane may fly to the US military for the area of escort operations, and then turn into Taiwan. According to earlier news, Pelosi will arrive in Taipei at around 10 pm on 2 August, and will meet with senior officials of the Chinese government on 3 August after staying overnight.

Japanese media reported in the evening of 2 August that at around 8 pm local time, eight U.S. fighter jets and five aerial refueling aircraft were successively dispatched from Taiwan. The U.S. military stationed in Kadena, Okinawa, took off and flew toward the south of Okinawa. According to the report, the U.S. military aircraft may have gone to assist in the security mission of Pelosi's special plane.

Since the C-2 transport plane also flew to Kadena on the 1st, it is concluded that the "Reagan" should be sailing off the coast of Okinawa, close to Taiwan, keeping an eye on the movements of mainland China.
