The epidemic in Shenzhen is heating up, and multiple districts are implementing global control. In addition, Huaqiangbei, the largest electronic trading market in the country, announced that it will suspend business for 4 days. Officials from the Chinese Communist Party said that the Omicron BF.15 variant was discovered for the first time in Shenzhen.

The first BF.15 variant discovered in Shenzhen

In the afternoon of 29 August 2022, Shenzhen held a press conference on the epidemic, saying that the Shenzhen CDC had tested all cases since 23 August, and the results showed that most of the cases were infected with BF.15 variant strains (BA.5.2.1). sub-branch, which was discovered for the first time in Shenzhen; other cases were infected with BA.5.2, BA.5.2.1 and BA.2.2 variant strains.

The Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission of the Communist Party of China reported that on the 28th, Shenzhen added 9 local confirmed cases and 2 asymptomatic infections. From 12 am to 12 pm on 29 August 2022, 35 new positive cases were added in Shenzhen.

Since the CCP is accustomed to falsifying data, the actual situation may be more serious.

Huaqiangbei Electronic Market suspends business for 4 days

On 29 August, Shenzhen Luohu District, Futian District, Longgang District and Longhua District successively implemented global control.

This control involves the whole area of Huaqiang North. Affected by the epidemic, Shenzhen Huaqiang Electronic World Management Co., Ltd., New Asia Electronic Mall, Metropolis Electronic City, Yuanwang, Manhattan and other large electronic markets issued notices, announcing that from 12 am on 29 August to work from home or suspend business at 12 am on 1 September.

According to reports from Huaqiang Electronic Network, many merchants in Huaqiangbei Market received property notices requesting to suspend business for 4 days. The logistics area of the outdoor trading area of Huaqiangbei Market has also been closed, and transactions such as setting up stalls and transporting goods will not be carried out, nor will it be possible to send and receive express delivery.

According to public information, there are 23 professional markets in Huaqiangbei, and the area of professional markets exceeds one-fifth of the total in Shenzhen. This time, the entire Huaqiangbei region is closed again due to the epidemic, which may have a certain degree of impact on the supply chain.

According to reports, because most communities require "staying at home" and logistics may be delayed, the timeliness of delivery of goods has been greatly affected. Under the circumstance that production is suspended and offline sales are blocked, the demand for parts in small batches and in urgent shortage of materials requires more stable supply channels. The biggest impact after working from home is that the chips are locked in the office, and the courier cannot send and receive normally, which affects the shipment of the chips.

According to Jiemian News, a number of Huaqiangbei dealers said that they will start working from home for 4 days, during which they will receive orders normally, but whether they can deliver the goods depends on the specific business situation and product model.

This year is not the first time that Huaqiangbei has been shut down due to the impact of the epidemic. In March, Huaqiangbei was closed for a week, and in June, Huaqiangbei merchants were closed for three days.

Falun Gong practitioners' dragon dance team and waist drum team were lively and festive, and were deeply loved by the audience.

Writer Stephen Sturgess said, "I want to see an end to this kind of control over people who don't allow people to do what they want to do. The more people who quit and rebel in this peaceful way, I think eventually there will be to work.”

Tourist Natalie Kim said, "Freedom of speech, freedom of thought, freedom of religion, and everything else is a gift from God to us from birth."

On 28 August, Falun Gong practitioners from South Korea gathered in Guro-ri Park in Seoul to celebrate the withdrawal of 400 million Chinese warriors from the CCP team organization.

Park Jun-hwan, director of the Korean branch of the Global Chinese Communist Party Quitting Center, said, "This is a new milestone in the movement to quit the CCP and a major event in global decommunization."

Han Rongfu, research member of the China Institute for Strategic Studies, said, "In the near future, the CCP will disappear. Because the international community knows the inaccuracy and cruelty of the Chinese Communist Party, and many countries have a deep understanding of this."

After the speech at the rally, Falun Gong practitioners started a parade, spreading the good news of the 400 million warriors quitting three times in the streets.

Kim Young-mi, a South Korean citizen: "This is very exciting and something worth celebrating. I hope that the Chinese who have not announced their withdrawal from the party will quit the party team as soon as possible, experience true freedom, and live in peace."

At Elizabeth Square in the center of Auckland, New Zealand, representatives from all walks of life spoke at the rally, and the people at the scene responded enthusiastically to the disintegration of the CCP.

Human rights lawyer Kerry Gore said, "(400 million quitters) They know that only by withdrawing from the CCP can China truly embrace a bright future. So we should welcome the disintegration of the CCP."

Public Sandra Cook said, "It's hard to believe that there is such an endless persecution in China. I think all of us should stand up and respond to the disintegration of the CCP."

Citizen Selena Ahomiro: "New Zealanders need to stand up and speak out for all those who are persecuted."

Ms. Dong, a Falun Gong practitioner who quit the CCP in New Zealand, said, "I hope everyone can recognize the true face of the CCP, and everyone can have a bright future."

Xia Liyan met the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the CCP silenced and set the tone for "Kuomintang-Communist talks"

Reporters : Huang Liangjian, Hu Shuxia and Zeng Xinmin / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/08/30/a103514081.html

Xia Liyan, vice chairman of the Kuomintang, visited China in early August and returned to Taiwan. During the visit, the CCP's military exercises against Taiwan did not stop. On Monday (29 August 2022), another Chinese drone invaded Taiwan's airspace, and the Taiwan military issued a "shoot-down warning" for the first time.

KMT Vice Chairman Xia Liyan visited China on the 10th, returned to Taiwan on Saturday afternoon, and held a press conference via video conference. Xia Liyan's visit came at a time when the CCP's sensitivity to Taiwan's military exercises and the crisis in the Taiwan Strait was heightened. Xia Liyan said that he had conveyed the "very dissatisfaction" of the majority of people in Taiwan.

Xia Liyan, vice chairman of the Kuomintang: "The military exercise is of no help to the so-called peaceful development of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. Moreover, we have clearly told it about the large-scale military exercise around the island a while ago, and most of them in Taiwan are very disappointed. If we continue to have military exercises now, I don’t think our position will change.”

Zhu Lilun, chairman of the Kuomintang Party: "Of course we must express our dissatisfaction and worry about the military exercises in the mainland. I think these are all ongoing."

The Fundamentalist Party held up banners and shouted slogans at Taoyuan Airport, expressing protest against Xia Liyan's visit, believing that it was a model of descending before the war. During his visit to China, Xia Liyan successively met with the senior officials of the ARATS and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council. The Taiwan Affairs Office of the Communist Party of China even set the tone for the "Kuomintang-Communist talks".

During Xia Liyan's interview, some scholars were worried that they would fall into the CCP's United Front trap and release wrong information to the world. The CCP wore small shoes all the way. Before departure, the CCP military exercise around Taiwan was repeatedly extended. On the day of departure (10 August), the CCP released a white paper on Taiwan, stressed the so-called "one country, two systems Taiwan plan"; after arriving, he was detained in quarantine for ten days without any courtesy; he met Zhang Zhijun of the ARATS on the 24th, and the Communist Army immediately announced a military exercise in Fujian Province. The Chinese Defense Minister claimed that "the Taiwan issue is China's internal affairs." ; On the 26th, they met with Chen Yuanfeng of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, and the CCP officials frequently claimed that the military exercise against Taiwan was a so-called "just act"; the press release of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Communist Party of China was the same chicken and duck speeches.

The soldiers on patrol in Mariupol received reports that Azov fighters were hiding out in a home on the outskirts of the city, the Mariupol mayor's office said on Telegram.

The troops quickly raced to the house hoping to find the paramilitary fighters, whose comrades fiercely defended the city and its steelworks earlier in the war until they were eventually captured by Putin's forces.

"'Ukraine is taking back its own," Zelenskyy said.

Oleksiy Arestovych, a senior adviser to Zelenskyy, commenting on the offensive in the Kherson region, said Russian defences had been 'broken through in a few hours'.

Ukrainian forces were shelling ferries that Russia was using to supply a pocket of territory on the west bank of the Dnipro river in the Kherson region, he added.

IAEA mission to inspect and assess damage at Zaporizhzhia, Kremlin refused to give it up

The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine's south, captured by Russian troops in March but still manned by Ukrainian staff, has been a hotspot in the conflict with both sides trading blame for shelling in the vicinity.

Russian-installed authorities accused Ukrainian troops of firing two shells that exploded near a spent fuel storage building at the plant, TASS news agency reported. There was no immediate comment from the Ukrainian side.

A mission from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is headed to the facility, Europe's largest nuclear plant, and is due later this week to inspect and assess any damage.

Led by IAEA chief Rafael Grossi, the mission will evaluate working conditions and check safety and security systems, the Vienna-based organisation said.

It will also 'perform urgent safeguards activities', a reference to keeping track of nuclear material.

A top Russian diplomat said Moscow hoped the mission would dispel misconceptions about the plant's allegedly poor state.

The Kremlin said the IAEA mission was "necessary" and urged the international community to press Ukraine to reduce military tension at the plant. The mission must do its work in a politically neutral manner, Russia's foreign ministry said.

The United Nations, United States and Ukraine have called for the withdrawal of military equipment and personnel from the complex to ensure it is not a target.

The Kremlin has ruled out abandoning the site.

Pressure fails, Ukrainian Congress establishes Taiwan friendly group, CCP hits wall
Reporters : Hu Zonghan and Zhang Ruizhen / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/08/29/a103513447.html / Image : Video Screenshot

The Ukrainian Congress set up a Taiwan Friendship Group earlier this month, led by Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Merezhko. According to foreign media reports, the CCP once tried to pressure Merezhko, and the CCP ambassador to Ukraine asked to meet, but was refused. Merezhko criticized that the CCP is "trying to issue orders to foreign parliaments."
The Ukrainian Congress established a cross-party Taiwan Friendship Group in August this year, with a total of 15 members, led by the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Oleksandr Merezhko, and held the first online working meeting with Taiwan legislators on the 25th. Merezhko said on Twitter that the two sides exchanged views on addressing common challenges, and that the people of Ukraine and Taiwan are resilient and will continue to work hard to defend the future of democracy and freedom.
The US "Newsweek" (Newsweek) disclosed on the 27th that on the eve of the announcement of the establishment of the Ukrainian Congressional Friendship Group, the Chinese ambassador to Ukraine, Fan Xianrong, tried to meet with Merezhko, but Merezhko refused.
Authorities in Beijing also put pressure on the Ukrainian embassy in China last week, with Merezhko criticizing China for “trying to dictate orders to foreign parliaments.”
Merezhko said Fan Xianrong had protested to the party leaders of the ruling Servant of the People but fortunately these leaders did not put pressure on him and members of the Friends of Taiwan Group.
Merezhko pointed out that in March 2022, he and several members of Congress tried to visit Fan Xianrong to seek support for opening a humanitarian corridor. However, Fan Xianrong refused to meet them at that time. After that, Merezhko realized that dealing with the CCP was useless.

Truss promises to list China as a serious threat to national security if elected prime minister

特拉斯承诺若当选首相 将中共列为国安严重威胁

The British Conservative Party will elect a new leader and British Prime Minister this week. The current foreign secretary, Liz Truss, who has the highest probability of winning the election, said that if she is elected, she will list China as a "national security threat to the UK" and cut off the economic partnership between the UK and China. .
According to the British "Times" report, Truss' latest election politics will take a tougher approach to Beijing, causing Britain to list China as a national security threat for the first time. Truss has pledged to reshape foreign policy if she becomes prime minister, and plans to restart a comprehensive review of Britain's foreign and defence priorities for the next decade.
Truss' allies say that if the policy is realized, China will be elevated to a status similar to Russia, and the UK's national security agency will define China as a "serious threat". He said China would be described as a "systemic competitor" in the scrutiny, wary of the risks it could pose to national security.
"Open trading economies like the UK need to engage with China and remain open to Chinese trade and investment, but they must also protect themselves from practices that adversely affect prosperity and security," Truss' allies said.
The change, initiated by Truss, aims to clamp down on greater economic cooperation between the UK Treasury and Beijing.
"The Times" disclosed last month that Truss' opponent, former finance minister Rishi Sunak, favours a trade deal with Beijing that would make the UK a "preferred market" for Chinese companies. By contrast, however, Truss considers putting national security ahead of economic cooperation.
Truss' allies say the CCP's crackdown on Hong Kong's pro-democracy movement and its treatment of Uyghurs in Xinjiang are the main reasons why Truss wants to change Sino-British cooperation.
News (16)
There will be no more economic partnership between China and the UK
An ally of Truss said: "There will be no more economic partnership (between China and the UK). Those are all suspended after (the CCP's) actions in Hong Kong. This change in position is the same as David Cameron." The relationship between [China and the UK] under the government is a stark contrast. President Xi Jinping paid an official state visit to the UK during his tenure, which was welcomed.”
One of Truss' campaign team said: "Since becoming foreign secretary, Liz Truss has strengthened the UK's stance on Beijing and will continue to take a hawkish stance as prime minister. She has been actively calling for (face up) China's economic coercion, working with the G7 and other allies to initiate investment in low- and middle-income countries as a response to China's 'One Belt, One Road' initiative."
A few months ago, US Secretary of State Blinken delivered a foreign policy speech. When talking about China policy, Blinken reiterated that the destruction of the international order by the CCP is the most serious long-term challenge facing the world.
Notably, U.S.-China relations have been highly tense after U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan this month. Beijing claims Taiwan as its territory and opposes any attempt to treat it as an independent state, even though China has never ruled the island.

Solomon Islands bans U.S. naval visits officially

The Solomon Islands has suspended all visits from the United States Navy, heightening concerns over the growing influence of China in the region.

The prime minister's office announced the suspension on Tuesday, in what he said is a bid to better police the country's exclusive economic zones. It comes after the country signed a security pact with China this year.

The suspension follows an incident last week when a U.S. Coast Guard vessel, the Oliver Henry, was unable to make a routine port call because the government did not respond to a request for it to refuel and provision.

"The United States received formal notification from the Government of Solomon Islands regarding a moratorium on all naval visits, pending updates in protocol procedures," a spokeswoman from the US embassy in Australia said in a statement.

Prime Minister Manesseh Sogavare said in a statement, "We have requested our partners to give us time to review, and put in place our new processes, before sending further requests for military vessels to enter the country.

"These will universally apply to all visiting naval vessels," he added, in the statement sent to Reuters news agency. Sogavare added that he wanted to build national capacity to police the Pacific island nation's exclusive economic zones.

U.S. hospital ship allowed to dock before the US embassy in Canberra was given 'formal notification'

In a speech on Tuesday afternoon to welcome the visiting U.S. hospital ship Mercy, Sogavare said last week's delay over the Oliver Henry was because the information had not been sent to his office on time.

The Mercy had been allowed to dock Monday as part of a humanitarian mission to the country - but the embassy noted it had received clearance before the moratorium was put in place.

Sogavare also confirmed delays in approving entry for the British navy ship Spey, which also aborted its planned port call, the statement said. As a result of the two incidents, the Solomon Islands is reviewing the approval procedures, it said.

Washington expressed its disappointment after the Oliver Henry was denied permission to refuel in the Solomons capital of Honiara

'The United States is disappointed that the US Coast Guard ship was not able to make this planned stop in Honiara,' the statement said.

'We will continue to closely monitor the situation.'

Earlier, the United States embassy in Canberra, the Australian capital, had said the Solomon Islands had notified it of a moratorium on navy vessels entering its ports.

"On 29 August, the United States received formal notification from the government of Solomon Islands regarding a moratorium on all naval visits, pending updates in protocol procedures," the embassy said in a statement.

The Mercy had arrived before the moratorium, the embassy said, adding that it was monitoring the situation.

The Solomon Islands has had a tense relationship with the United States and its allies since striking a security pact with China this year.

The Oliver Henry was on patrol for illegal fishing in the South Pacific for a regional fisheries agency at the time it sought entry to refuel at Honiara, the Solomons' capital.

On Monday, a U.S. State Department spokesperson called the lack of clearance for the Oliver Henry "regrettable", saying the United States was pleased the Mercy had received clearance.

Separately, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said it was regrettable that 'we've seen the Chinese try to bully and coerce nations throughout the Indo-Pacific to do their bidding and to serve what they believe their selfish national security interests are, rather than the broader interests of a free and open Indo-Pacific'.

It was unclear whether the suspension also applied to other navies, including close partner Australia.

The CCP's drones frequently enter Kinmen, Taiwan: Uninvited parties are thieves

中共无人机频闯金门 台湾:不请自来谓之贼

Chinese drones flew over Taiwan's Kinmen for ten consecutive days. The Chinese Foreign Ministry tried to confuse the territorial topic with ridicule, which was severely refuted by Taiwan.

At a regular press conference on Monday (29 August 2022), a Japanese reporter asked a question about a mainland civilian drone taking pictures over Kinmen. After a pause for a few seconds, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said that flying on its own territory, the outside world will not be surprised.

"I also saw the relevant video," Zhao Lijian said. "China's drones flew over Chinese territory. This is not something to be surprised by."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China subsequently issued a press release "targeting the claims made by the foreign affairs department of the authoritarian expansionist government of the Communist Party of China", sternly refuting Zhao Lijian.

"There is an ancient Chinese saying that 'uninvited people are called thieves'. Whether it is to break into an empty door or to peep in the air, the people of Taiwan do not welcome such thieves," said a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China.

"The Chinese Communist Party's authoritarian expansionist government has always made harassment of other countries a daily routine, and the title of 'regional troublemaker' is well-deserved," the press release added.

Taiwan Army: Land drones will be shot down if they don't listen to warnings

After Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, visited Taiwan in early August, the CCP held large-scale military exercises around Taiwan for several days. This tension has continued to this day.

On 16 August, a video of a mainland drone flying into Kinmen and filming a defender appeared on mainland social media, showing the island guards throwing stones at the drone to expel them. The video caused an uproar in Taiwan.

In the evening of the 27th, another video of drones entering Kinmen also appeared on the Internet. The video shows that the drone flew to a post at the southern end of Guishan Beach, Lieyu Township, Kinmen County. The Taiwanese army sentry on duty at the post reported to their superiors through a wireless walkie-talkie, but did not take action against the drone. The drone also photographed the camp in the stronghold, as well as the war map hanging on the wall.

On 28 August, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China announced that it will "appropriately counteract" flying entities such as drones in mainland China from now on. The ROC military said mainland drones would be shot down if they invaded Kinmen and flew away without heeding warnings. This is the first time the ROC military has issued a warning to shoot down an invading drone.

On 29 August, the Jinmen Defense Command of the Republic of China Army issued a statement that a civilian drone was found entering the restricted waters of the Shiyu area at a low altitude, only about 30 metres above the ground. The plane then flew towards Xiamen, China.

The Kinmen Defense Command emphasized that the Taiwan military is based on "warfare cautiously" and adheres to the basic principles of not starting a war lightly and not escalating conflicts; in the face of the Communist military's repeated provocations with drones and other reckless provocations, it has undermined regional security and stability, and it is even more important to national defense. . If the flight safety poses a major threat, the defense zone will continue to maintain vigilance and close monitoring, and take necessary countermeasures at any time.

Kinmen and Xiamen face each other across the sea, and the distance is quite close. Cheap civilian drones can easily fly over Kinmen from Xiamen.

Netizens expect Zhao Lijian's drone to fly in Taiwan

On the other hand, recently, Chinese diplomats have frequently thrown out absurd statements such as "restaurants" and "map of Puerto Rico" to confuse the relationship between Taiwan and the mainland.

Japan's "Sankei Shimbun" Taipei branch director Akio Yaita once criticized the "restaurant talk" of the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying as a form of power arrogance. "It's ridiculous for a professional diplomat to use such absurd logic to claim territorial sovereignty for a country," he said.

Akio Yaita criticized that the statements made by CCP diplomats cannot be interpreted as jokes or inaccurate words, because things like "sovereignty" are closely related to the lives, property and national identity of thousands of residents. For many people, it is a Godly thing.

As netizens commented on Twitter, the actions of Chinese government officials are like "ignorant trolls", which is embarrassing!

There are also netizens who are looking forward to Zhao Lijian's drone to go to Taiwan for a test flight. Some netizens wrote that since Zhao Lijian claimed that Taiwan is China's territory, everyone wanted to see what would happen if Zhao Lijian's drone flew to Taiwan and promoted the CCP there.
