Many countries close to CCP have scam gangs operated by CCP Chinese criminal groups

At present, many Southeast Asian countries with close ties to the CCP, such as Myanmar and Cambodia, have similar fraud centers, most of which are operated by Chinese criminal groups. Some gangs have been accused of ties to Chinese Communist Party elites. The local government, because of its relationship with the CCP, also shelters and condones these gangs.

According to a report by the Malaysian media "China Daily" on August 11, the most vicious among the "fraud parks" in Southeast Asia is the "KK Park" in Myawaddy, Myanmar. This is the final stop for human trafficking among all the fraudulent parks, the site of purgatory".

KK Park alerted to transnational raid harvest live organs of victims for clandestine sale if no ransom is received

The report quoted sources as saying that the head of the park received news in early August that many surrounding countries would set up a transnational task force to prepare to raid and destroy the "KK Park". Therefore, the head of the park ordered a large-scale relocation, and the thousands of "pigs" (foreigners who were abducted to engage in scams) in the park urgently needed to be dealt with, most of which were Chinese. The criminal group will release a large number of "piglets" in exchange for ransom, or harvest some of the organs of the "piglets" for sale.

According to the latest news, Chinese businessman She Zhijiang, who is alleged to be one of the owners of the "KK Park", has been arrested in Thailand on suspicion of operating an illegal online casino. The She Zhijiang case is accused of being closely related to the CCP's political and legal leaders, and the matter may involve CCP infighting.

According to reports, "piglets" in the fraud park may be released if they have a certain amount of "performance" in engaging in scams, or are lucky enough. If their "performance" is not good, they will suffer all kinds of torture. If no one pays the "ransom" for them, those with poor "performance" will be resold to other gangs, and eventually become "blood slaves" or have their organs harvested.

Rampant corruption among Cambodian soldiers and police and their laissez-faire attitude towards scams allow foreign criminal groups to compete and kill one another

In addition, corruption is rampant in Cambodian officialdom, and the local military and police rely on "extra-professional income" to grow their power. The notorious foreign criminal group's stronghold, Sihanoukville, and other places, rely on the licenses issued to online game and gaming companies to make up to 5 billion U.S. Dollars a year. Therefore, the authorities have adopted a laissez-faire attitude towards the crimes of kidnapping, drug trafficking, prostitution, human trafficking and organ trafficking by foreign criminal groups, using the most primitive law of the jungle to allow these criminal groups to compete and kill each other.

According to reports, the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China (CCP China) has organized a number of special anti-scam operations since April 2021. As of July, 230,000 scammers have been persuaded to return from abroad. Many places in CCP China have resorted to intimidation methods such as cancellation of household registration to require scammers to return to the country. Those who refuse to return will have their hometowns spray-painted for publicity.

According to a CCTV news report, the Ministry of Public Security  has continued to crack down on telecommunications and Internet scams and pension-related scams in accordance with the law. The continuous rise of telecommunications and Internet scams in recent years has been effectively curbed. Since June 2021, the number of registered cases has dropped for 14 consecutive months.

U.S. official: CCP is expanding China's nuclear arsenal, threatening Indo-Pacific security

美官员:中共正扩增核武库 威胁印太安全

U.S. Indo-Pacific commanders have warned that CCP China's growing nuclear arsenal poses a threat to the stability of the region, as Beijing is engaged in "the largest military buildup" since World War II.

CCP opposes Australia's AUKUS defence treaty, which would give Australia access to nuclear-powered submarines. In response to the opposition from the CCP, General John Aquilino, commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific region, made the above remarks. Beijing says the treaty poses a risk of nuclear proliferation.

"If you want to talk about nuclear weapons and concerns about a nuclear arms race, all you have to do is pay attention to CCP China first," Aquirino told a news conference in Indonesia.

The Washington Times quoted Aquirino as saying that "the only country that has increased its nuclear arsenal right now is the People's Republic of China," which had "300 nuclear silos in operation" during the meeting.

CCP China's accelerated pace of nuclear construction could give it as many as 700 deliverable warheads by 2027, according to a fact sheet released by the U.S. Department of Defense last year. (see here for details)

CCP may plan to have at least 1,000 nuclear warheads by 2030, the report said, exceeding initial U.S. forecasts for 2020.

"The CCP may have created a nascent 'nuclear triad', developed a nuclear-capable air-launched ballistic missile (ALBM), and improved its ground- and sea-based nuclear strike capabilities," the report said.

Aquirino was in Indonesia for Super Garuda Shield, an annual joint military exercise aimed at improving regional cooperation. More than 5,000 soldiers from the United States, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore and Australia participated in the 14-day exercise.

Canada, France, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and the United Kingdom joined the military exercise as observer states. Washington said the exercise was not aimed at any country.

CCP accuses AUKUS of "risks of nuclear proliferation"

AUKUS is a trilateral alliance of defence partners between the US, UK and Australia. Beijing accused the AUKUS coalition of failing to heed "serious risks of nuclear proliferation", warning it could undermine "peace and security in the region".

Beijing's comments come as the UN holds the Tenth Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (from 1 to 26 August), which will review AUKUS after CCP and Indonesia submitted requests for review and proceed checking.

Australia to maintain "a nuclear-weapon-free and oppressive Pacific"

"The three partners of the AUKUS Alliance are committed to upholding our legal obligations to strengthen and improve the non-proliferation regime. We will not just maintain, but strengthen and improve the regime."

The U.S. embassy in China issued 3 articles in a row naming the CCP and seeking to change the status quo on both sides of the strait

Reporter : Chen Beichen / Editor: Lin Qing / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/08/17/a103504713.html

The tension in the Taiwan Strait has brought U.S.-China relations to the bottom. The U.S. embassy in China on Wednesday (17 August 2022) sent out three tweets in a row, naming the CCP’s attempt to change the status quo on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

The U.S. embassy and consulate in China translated the tweet of the U.S. Asia Pacific Media Hub of the U.S. State Department into Chinese and retweeted it on Twitter, pointing out that "on one side, one side is seeking to change the status quo on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. "This status quo has been at the core of stability and security across the Taiwan Strait for 40 years. It's not the US, it's not Taiwan."

"It is the People's Republic of China that is challenging the status quo . . . its recent provocative and totally unnecessary response to a congressional delegation's visit to Taiwan earlier this month has once again demonstrated its willingness to challenge the status quo."

"Our response to the provocation of the People's Republic of China has been measured and restrained... We have made it clear that we do not intend to escalate the situation and have no reason to create a crisis, but we have also made it clear that we are flying in the region in accordance with international law. Activities like flying and navigating will not be blocked."

Among them, the first tweet was accompanied by U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price's response at a regular briefing on the 15th that "China's ultimate goal is to unify Taiwan by force."

"It's been clear for some time that one side is seeking to change the status quo but the status quo on both sides of the Taiwan Strait has always been at the center of stability and security across the Taiwan Strait," Price said.

“I have no specific response other than to reiterate the points we made earlier. Members of Congress, Congressional delegations, have been going to Taiwan for decades, and they will continue to do so. This year alone, more than 10 Congressional representatives have visited Taiwan. The Congressman's visit to Taiwan is completely in line with our consistent 'one China' policy. Going back to what we saw this month - China is totally overreacting."

"Our response to China's provocation has been measured and responsible," Price said. "We made it clear that we did not intend to escalate and that there was no reason for a crisis, but we also made it clear -- you heard from the White House on the 12th. This - we will not be prevented (by any party) from flying and navigating, (by being prevented) from carrying out missions in the Taiwan Strait according to international law."

"That's why President Biden directed that the USS Ronald Reagan stay longer and do more to support Taiwan," Price said.

FBI warns of bomb threat, spike in calls for "civil war" after raid of Trump's resort

Reporter : Zachary Stieber, The Epoch Times PREMIUM

Threats to law enforcement have spiked since the FBI’s raid of former President Donald Trump’s resort, according to a joint intelligence bulletin circulated on 12 August 2022, with one threat warning of a bomb at the bureau’s headquarters.

“This Bulletin is being shared in light of an increase in threats and acts of violence, including armed encounters, against law enforcement, judiciary, and government personnel, in reaction to the FBI’s recent execution of a court-authorized search warrant in Palm Beach, Florida,” the bulletin (pdf) reads.

The threats following the August 8 raid of Mar-a-Lago are primarily coming from online, according to the bulletin. They’ve been posted across multiple platforms, including social media sites, forums, and video-sharing sites.

One threat was to place a so-called dirty bomb in front of the FBI’s headquarters in Washington, while others have identified specific proposed targets, including U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, who approved the search warrant that agents executed at Trump’s resort.

The U.S. court at which Reinhart works removed Reinhart’s page after his action was first disclosed.

Posts reviewed by The Epoch Times on social media platforms show users saying Reinhart committed treason, and some users reportedly called for Reinhart to be executed.

Cincinnati Attack

The bulletin noted that an armed man, later identified as Ricky Shiffer Jr., tried forcing his way into the FBI’s Cincinnati, Ohio, office on Aug. 11. A review of Shiffer’s devices and online activity found that he was likely driven by “anti-FBI beliefs,” according to the bulletin, which states that Shiffer called on others to obtain weapons and kill federal law enforcement agents and said he was fighting in a “civil war.”

Screenshots show Shiffer posted on Truth Social, Trump’s social media site, including one post telling followers: “If you don’t hear from me, it is true I tried attacking the F.B.I.”

The Trump Media & Technology Group told The Epoch Times via email: “Truth Social does not tolerate violent threats or incitement on our platform. We work to immediately remove any such posts from Truth Social and cooperate with law enforcement.”

Some suspected domestic violent extremists have praised Shiffer’s attack and called for further attacks, while others have described it as a government-concocted incident.

The bulletin was being circulated to make sure law enforcement officers, judges, and government workers are aware of the threats and criminal incidents. It encouraged reporting suspicious activity to the FBI.

A leaked copy of the document was published by Project Veritas.

“Information contained in this intelligence bulletin is for official use only. No portion of this bulletin should be released to the media, the general public, or over nonsecure Internet servers. Release of this material could adversely affect or jeopardize investigative activities,” the bulletin reads.

The FBI declined to make a copy of the bulletin available, while the Department of Homeland didn’t respond to a query. Neither agency has disputed the authenticity of the leaked document.

“The FBI is always concerned about violence and threats of violence to law enforcement, including the men and women of the FBI. We work closely with our law enforcement partners to assess and respond to such threats, which are reprehensible and dangerous,” an FBI spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email. “As always, we would like to remind members of the public that if they observe anything suspicious to report it to law enforcement immediately.”

The day before, the Chinese military survey ship "Yuan Wang 5" sailed into Sri Lanka's port of Hambantota, drawing India's attention. Delhi is concerned that the CCP authorities may use the deep-water port as a military base.

Indian Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jashankar said, "We are monitoring very closely any developments concerning our interests."

李克强南下拜祭邓小平 习近平北上纪念内战

The CCP's Beidaihe vacation ended, and Li Keqiang went south to pay homage to Deng Xiaoping, declaring the so-called "reform and opening up will not turn back." Xi Jinping went north to Liaoning to visit the Civil War Memorial Hall. Some people think that Xi and Li's different tunes highlight the infighting within the CCP, while others think that the two just have a different division of labour.

According to Xinhuanet, the official media of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping inspected the Memorial Hall of the Liaoshen Battle in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province on the 16th. At a time when the situation in the Taiwan Strait is "tensile", Xi Jinping commemorates the civil war between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, and is accused of sending some kind of ominous signal.

According to the CCTV News Network, Li Keqiang inspected Shenzhen from the 16th to the 17th, during which he visited Lianhuashan Park, "looking at the bronze statue of Deng Xiaoping and offering flower baskets".

The video also showed that when Li Keqiang spoke at an outdoor venue in Shenzhen, he also declared that the CCP's "reform and opening up will not change," just as "the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers will not turn back." so on and so forth.

Recently, there has been a heated discussion in the CCP for the outbreak of the "Xi Jinping Line" and "Deng Xiaoping Line" disputes. Li Keqiang's worship of Deng Xiaoping at this moment seems a little sensitive. Except for CCTV News Network, other party media did not report the incident.

But there are also views that Li Keqiang's worship of Deng Xiaoping may not have any special meaning. Xi Jinping has also publicly declared that he "adheres to reform and opening up." In October 2020, when he went south to celebrate the so-called "40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone", he also paid homage to the statue of Deng Xiaoping.

In addition, Li Keqiang's so-called "Yangtze River and Yellow River will not turn back" also made many netizens disagree. On mainland Weibo and overseas Twitter, netizens ridiculed: "The issue of whether the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers will flow backwards is not a question of whether the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers will flow back, but the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers are running out of water." "Not turning back? Now they are all backflowing!" "One has no real power. Prime Minister, what's the use of shouting a few slogans? It's just deceiving the people in the country!"

According to a CCTV report, Li Keqiang went south to Shenzhen and convened a symposium with the heads of major economic provinces to deploy the policy of "stabilizing the economy".

In recent years, Li Keqiang's attempts to save the economy often run counter to Xi Jinping's "dynamic clearing" and "national advance and private retreat".

In response to the "different tone" of Xi and Li repeatedly, some analysts believe that it may be the performance of the CCP's infighting in the open. Earlier rumors of "Xi under Li Shang" were even spread. However, some commentators believe that this "different tone" may only be due to the different division of labour. The CCP has always been the general secretary in charge of politics, the prime minister has "made up for the economy", and the CCP prime minister has always played an "enlightened" role, so we must also be wary of the CCP using Li to set up "false hope" for the people in order to save their lives.

After the U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan, cross-strait relations were tense, and Beijing ordered military exercises to encircle Taiwan, drawing global attention. Although many people are nervous about whether the mainland will use force, James Palmer, deputy editor-in-chief of the American journal "Foreign Policy", analyzed that Beijing's military attack on Taiwan will be accompanied by many risks. No real use of force.

Palmer pointed out that it has become the new normal for a joint plane to fly over the centre line of the Taiwan Strait. Still, Beijing's protests against Pelosi's visit to Taiwan appear unlikely to intensify. He pointed out that there are many reasons why "something in Taiwan" will not happen. First of all, CCP expects to achieve cross-strait reunification without the use of force, but Taiwan's public opinion polls show that this is just an illusion.

Thirty years ago, 25% of Taiwanese considered themselves "Chinese", but now it has dropped to just 2%. This is due to the change in consciousness that occurs alternately from generation to generation, and the issue of human rights violations in mainland China.

Palmer also said that Beijing may still believe in cross-strait reunification. The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council pointed out in the white paper that the people of Taiwan were deceived by the Democratic Progressive Party and Europe and the United States to want independence. The CCP ambassador to Australia also called Taiwan's public opinion polls misleading. Palmer said that because Beijing officials often lie within the system, they think other countries do the same.

Palmer: CCP may coerce or overthrow the Taipei government to bring Taiwan to surrender, it is considering the possibility of the U.S. collapse

He pointed out that Beijing may prefer to coerce or overthrow the government to bring Taiwan to its knees. From the Kuomintang, the largest opposition party leaning toward unity, to criminal syndicates, Beijing has spent enormous amounts of time and money building relationships with various groups in Taiwan. They also considered the possibility of the collapse of the United States. In this case, Taiwan would lose its biggest support.

Palmer said that even if Beijing judges that peaceful reunification is impossible, military unification of Taiwan still carries great risks. Even if the United States does not directly intervene, military reunification is not guaranteed to succeed. The People's Liberation Army of the CCP has no actual combat experience since the Sino-Vietnamese War, which ended in withdrawal in 1979.

Although Beijing argues that military unification of Taiwan is a quick and easy task, if it does launch an offensive as it must be carried out on an unprecedented scale of land, sea and air attacks. Despite its morale and logistical problems, Taiwan has been guarding against a mainland invasion for a long time.

CCP reluctant to start military war against the U.S. in Asia-Pacific

He believes that Beijing must also consider geopolitical risks, the most important being the possibility of an all-out war with the United States. Some Chinese military researchers believe that attacking Taiwan would show resolve and drive the United States out of the Asia-Pacific region.

Washington's willingness to participate in the war and its ability to defend Taiwan does raise questions. At the same time, no one in Beijing wants to be defeated by the world's largest military power, or to see nuclear weapons destroy the world.

CCP cannot isolate Taiwan from the rest of the world even if war broke out

In addition, if the mainland takes action against Taiwan, it will overthrow its claim to be a "peaceful power", and the deep relationship with Japan will also collapse. Even if they occupy Taiwan, they cannot immediately turn Taiwan into the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, and isolate it from the rest of the world.

Even if the Internet is blocked, Taiwan's technology can still transmit post-occupation videos or pictures to foreign countries, causing a blow to the mainland.

Attacking Taiwan affects the prosperity of CCP China

Palmer believes that attacking Taiwan will also affect the prosperity of mainland China. The economy of the southern part of the mainland is closely tied to Taiwanese suppliers and capital. Once the war begins, CCP will also be hit.

Technology companies such as TSMC may also take "scorched earth warfare" on the production line, and enter a self-destruction mechanism after the invasion, resulting in the outflow of talents from Taiwan.

CCP worries about large-scale economic sanctions

After Russia invaded Ukraine, Europe and the United States used their economic leverage to impose sanctions. If CCP China is also subjected to large-scale economic sanctions, it is bound to have a severe blow to the world economy, which also worries Beijing.

Palmer finally revealed that the most critical factor is political risk. Few large-scale protests and public outrage have the means to bring down China's system of control but the humiliation of a failed invasion of Taiwan may be one of them. In the past, China has repeatedly carried out internal propaganda on the mainland, saying that the reunification of the two sides of the strait is imperative and that the PLA can easily win military victories. Many mainlanders firmly believe in this, and if unification by military force fails, it may lead to greater risks.

He pointed out that nationalism, conceit, restlessness and stupidity are all forces that can dramatically move the world but at least at this point in time, the huge risks associated with China's military unification of Taiwan, and the assumption that it can avoid military unification and make Taiwan succumb by coercive means are all factors that reduce the chance of cross-strait war.
