Pelosi's visit to Taiwan is coldly dealt with by the CCP's official media, Wang Yi does not mention a word in the interview

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has arrived in Taiwan. On the CCP side, there is only one group of self-media clamoring for “war”, and most of the official media are very “calm”. During the interview, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi scolded the United States, but did not mention Pelosi's visit to Taiwan.
At about 10:43 pm local time on Tuesday (2 August 2022), Nancy Pelosi arrived at Taipei Songshan Airport by plane. As early as the 1st, the US and Taiwan media released Pelosi's itinerary for Taiwan's visit.
However, on the 2nd, the headline reports of the CCP's official media "People's Daily" and "Military Daily" did not mention the tension in Taiwan at all. The headline of "People's Daily" is still "calmly" reporting "Fujian to build characteristic modern agriculture according to local conditions".
In the mainland, in addition to a number of self-media, there are also the Global Times and its former editor-in-chief Hu Xijin.
On Tuesday, Wang Yi, who attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Foreign Ministers' Meeting, emphasized the so-called "China's solemn position" on the "Taiwan issue" and accused the United States. In addition to empty clichés such as "red line and bottom line" and "oppose interference in China's internal affairs", his remarks cursed the United States with vicious words such as "treachery", "bullying face" and "will never end well".
However, according to a report on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi did not mention Pelosi's visit to Taiwan during the interview. Some netizens left a message saying, "wash and sleep, it's over."
Before Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, the CCP official repeatedly "severely warned" and clamored to "wait and see". The CCP’s military is also conducting intensive military exercises, and the Chinese Internet is full of posts showing “muscles” such as missiles, tanks, and fighter jets. However, so far, only CCP military planes have been seen crossing the Taiwan Strait, and there has been no sign of the CCP "taking military action".
Hu Xijin, who had previously ranted about "shooting down" Pelosi's plane, left a frustrated message at night of 1 August, "Let her go." On 2 August, Hu Xijin also said that "military action does not mean war" and that "we must teach the United States and Taiwan a painful lesson" and so on.
So far, the United States has not encountered CCP retaliation. However, Taiwanese businesses have suffered losses as a result.
In the middle of the night on 1 August 2022, the CCP suddenly announced a “suspended import” of a number of Taiwanese products. According to Taiwan media statistics, the ban involves about 1,500 Taiwanese manufacturers. As of that night, the categories of banned goods accounted for 65% of all categories of goods exported to the mainland.

Not afraid of the CCP, Pelosi writes about why she insists on leading a delegation to visit Taiwan

After Pelosi arrived in Taiwan, the Washington Post website immediately published her essay, entitled "Why I Lead a Delegation to Visit Taiwan."
Pelosi said in her letter that about 43 years ago, the US Congress overwhelmingly passed the Taiwan Relations Act and President Carter signed it into law, which is one of the most important pillars of US foreign policy in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Taiwan Relations Act articulates the United States' commitment to a democratic Taiwan and solemnly swears that the United States supports Taiwan's defense.
Pelosi said the U.S. must remember this oath and must support Taiwan. What is disturbing, however, is that Taiwan, a democracy, is under threat from the CCP.
In recent years, the CCP’s military operations have been so frequent that the U.S. Department of Defense concluded that the Chinese military “may be preparing for an emergency for the purpose of military unification of Taiwan.”
The CCP has also brought fighting into cyberspace, squeezing Taiwan economically, pressuring global companies to cut ties with Taiwan, intimidating countries that cooperate with Taiwan, and restricting travel from China.
"In the face of accelerated Chinese provocation, our congressional delegation's visit should be seen as a clear statement that the United States stands with our democratic partner Taiwan as Taiwan defends itself and its freedoms", Pelosi wrote.
Pelosi recalled that 30 years ago, she followed a cross-party congressional delegation to China and held up a banner in Tiananmen Square that read "Dedicated to the martyrs who died for the cause of democracy in China." When they left the square, police officers in uniform caught up.
Pelosi listed the various human rights violations committed by the CCP in her essay. She wrote that the CCP's brutal crackdown on political freedoms and human rights in Hong Kong has thrown the promise of "one country, two systems" into the trash. In Tibet, he has long led a campaign to obliterate the language, culture, religion and identity of the Tibetan people. In Xinjiang, genocide against Uyghur Muslims and other ethnic minorities. Across China, the CCP continues to target and arrest activists, religious freedom leaders, and others who dare to defy the regime.
"We cannot stand idly by while the Chinese Communist Party continues to threaten Taiwan and democracy," Pelosi said in her essay. The United States and our allies have made it clear that it is important not to bow to dictators.
She said that by visiting Taiwan, "we are delivering on our commitment to democracy and reaffirming that the freedoms of Taiwan and all democracies must be respected."

In the morning of 3 August, President Tsai Ing-wen of the Republic of China received a delegation led by Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, and presented the award Pelosi "Special Grand Shouqingyun Medal". In the morning of the same day, Pelosi visited the National Court of the Republic of China.
At 10:30 a.m. on the 3rd, President Tsai Ing-wen received the delegation led by Pelosi at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of China and awarded Pelosi the "Special Grand Shouqingyun Medal".
The eulogy stated that the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, has made great efforts to promote the friendly and cooperative relations between Taiwan and the United States, and has achieved remarkable results, which is deeply appreciated by the Taiwanese people and government of the Republic of China. In accordance with Article 8 of the Medal Regulations, the government of the Republic of China awarded Pelosi a "Special Grand Shouqing Yun Medal" by the President's express order in recognition of his outstanding achievements.
The Central News Agency reported that the Special Grand Shouqing Yun Medal praised and affirmed that Pelosi is Taiwan's most staunch friend, and the visiting congressman is also an important leader of the United States. This trip shows the rock-solid support of the US Congress for Taiwan.
The members of the delegation include Gregory Meeks, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives, Mark Takano, Chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, Suzan DelBene, Vice Chairman of the Audit Committee, and the Government Oversight and Reform Committee of the House of Representatives. Economic and Consumer Policy Group Chairman Raja Krishnamoorthi and Congressman Andy Kim, among others.
Afterwards, Pelosi will receive President Tsai Ing-wen's lunch at the Taipei Hotel.
Pelosi arrived in Taiwan yesterday evening (2nd) and led a delegation to the National Court of the Republic of China at 8:47am on the 3rd. Because the President of the Legislative Yuan, You Xikun, was diagnosed and quarantined, the representative of the Vice President of the Legislative Yuan, Cai Qichang, met with Pelosi and held closed-door talks with representatives of the ruling and opposition parties.
In addition to the above, Pelosi has gone to Jingmei Human Rights Cultural Park at 2 pm, and is expected to take a flight and leave Taiwan at 5 pm.

Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, the CCP's live-fire military exercise, the White House is not afraid
0After Speaker Pelosi arrived in Taiwan, the CCP immediately announced a new round of military exercises in the Taiwan Strait, with the drills almost encircling the island of Taiwan. The White House said President Biden respected Pelosi's decision to visit Taiwan and the United States would not be intimidated by Beijing's threats.
US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi arrived in Taiwan in the evening of 2 August, triggering a fierce reaction from the CCP.
The Eastern Military Region of the Chinese Communist Party immediately announced that starting the evening of August 2, a series of military operations will be launched around the island of Taiwan, including long-range live ammunition fire in the Taiwan Strait and conventional missile fire tests in the waters east of the island.
In addition, Xinhua News Agency, the mouthpiece of the CCP, was authorized to announce in the evening of 2 August that the CCP army will conduct live-fire drills around the island in 6 areas around the island of Taiwan from August 4 to 7. The training site has invaded Taiwan's territorial waters.

Not intimidated by threats from CCP
In this regard, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense stated that the move highlights the CCP's mentality of resolving differences by force. White House national security spokesman John Kirby said after Pelosi's arrival that the United States "will not be intimidated by threats from China."
White House national security spokesman John Kirby said, "He (Biden) respects her (Pelosi) decision to go to Taiwan."
International affairs commentator Tang Hao said, "The CCP's 'round-the-island military exercise' on Taiwan is indeed unprecedented. It has violated the territorial waters and sovereignty of the Republic of China, and is suspected of unilaterally changing the status quo on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. This shows that the CCP is greatest threat to peacekeeping in the Taiwan Strait."
On 2 August, some Republican senators in the United States held a press conference to respond to the CCP’s threat of force.
U.S. Senator Daniel Sullivan said, "We don't want the Chinese Communist Party to dictate where our senior officials can and cannot go. She (Pelosi) is there, we support her visit, we stand firmly behind her."
According to a report by the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK), at 8 pm local time on Tuesday, eight U.S. F-15 fighter jets and five aerial tankers took off from the U.S. military base in Okinawa one after another. Another U.S. Navy EP-3 electronic reconnaissance aircraft took off and headed to the East China Sea.
Since the news of Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, the CCP Ministry of Foreign Affairs has repeatedly stated that CCP China will take so-called "resolute and forceful" measures.

CCP avoiding military conflict with the U.S.
Tang Hao, an international affairs commentator, said, "The CCP did not dare to stop Pelosi from visiting Taiwan, nor did it dare to have a military conflict with the United States, so after Pelosi left Taiwan, it could only use an afterthought to pressure and intimidate Taiwan, to find some face for themselves, so that they can give an account to the country and the party."
The timing of Pelosi's visit to Taiwan is rather delicate. August 1st is the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party. At the same time, the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China will be held soon, which is related to whether the party leader Xi Jinping can continue to be re-elected.
Analysts pointed out that although the CCP does not dare to have a direct conflict with the United States, the Taiwanese government should also be alert to the CCP’s retaliation or sabotage through other means.

Coming to war? After Pelosi arrives in Taiwan, CCP plans to conduct military exercises around Taiwan
Reporter : Yu Ting / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/08/03/a103493491.html / Image : Video Screenshot
In order to prevent Pelosi from visiting Taiwan, the CCP has been attacking online and intimidating, threatening "serious consequences" but in the evening of 2 August 2022 local time, Pelosi still successfully arrived in Taiwan and the CCP immediately declared that it would escalate military operations and encircle the island of Taiwan for joint military exercises.
On the night Pelosi arrived in Taiwan, the CCP announced overnight that it would launch live sea and air exercises around six locations on the island of Taiwan. From a geographical point of view, it has entered Taiwan's territorial waters.
Tang Hao, a senior media person, said, "Before the CCP kept escalating the war of words and threatened to shoot down Pelosi's plane. Now the CCP is mainly trying to save face and intimidate Taiwan, and it wants to give an explanation to the country and the party but this highlights the CCP's 'bullying' the hooligan mentality of small fear of big'."
Yao Cheng, former lieutenant colonel of the CCP Navy Command, said, "They (the CCP) boasted too much, too much, and they slapped the world in front of them. I think they must still do their actions, but that is symbolic."
However, the exercise period announced by the authorities was selected to be held from 4 to 7 August after Pelosi left. It seems to be to avoid a mishap with the US military. Some military experts believe that neither the US nor CCP China is willing to go to war at present.
Yao Cheng, former lieutenant colonel of the Chinese Navy Command: "Once there is a conflict in the military, it is not easy to control. The United States is reluctant to fight, but it strategically deters them and tells the CCP not to act rashly. Conversely, the CCP is not willing to fight with the United States. Going to war directly, first of all, its economy is dying now, it does not want to decouple from the United States, and when it goes to war, it will be completely decoupled, and China's economy will be worse off. Ah, of course it will find some face for itself and do some exercises."
In response to the CCP's military actions, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China responded quickly and condemned the CCP for unilaterally undermining regional peace and stability. It will closely monitor surrounding developments and formulate various war preparation plans.
Tang Hao added, "The current response of the Ministry of National Defense is only a 'preliminary response' at the first time. More specific responses and details are not expected to come out until Wednesday, because Taiwan has to discuss with the United States how to deal with the CCP. This is a chess game of 'siege' that has never been seen before."
The CCP has reacted violently to Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. It has been “intimidating both civilly and militarily” for several days, threatening that if Pelosi visits Taiwan, there will be “serious consequences”. Beginning in the evening, in the north, southwest and southeast of the island of Taiwan, joint sea and air live-fire exercises were conducted to intimidate the so-called "Taiwan independence".
Gu Zhong, deputy chief of staff of the Eastern Theater Command of the Communist Party of China, said, "(The military exercise) is aimed at those 'Taiwan independence' elements who are not in harmony with the Taiwan authorities."
However, the United States has always sought to keep the regional situation unchanged, and the CCP’s remarks seem to be self-talking.
U.S. Secretary of State Blinken commented, "Previous Speakers have visited Taiwan, and many members of Congress have visited Taiwan, including this year. Beijing is fully responsible for trying to create some kind of crisis, or to escalate tensions in other ways."
Tang Hao said, "The CCP only established its government in 1949, and has no legitimacy to annex the Republic of China and Taiwan established in 1912, so it can only use the slogan of 'anti-Taiwan independence' to cover up the illegality of its invasion of Taiwan. At the same time, it suppresses the independence of Taiwan's sovereignty but fundamentally, the CCP is just building a 'literary prison' and labelling those who oppose the CCP as 'Taiwan independence'."
In mainland China, many netizens ridiculed the CCP for only daring to shout and not to fight, and some netizens ridiculed that the battle must be fought, "the question is whether it will be fought in Hengdian or Bayi Studio."
