Taiwan has 200 F-16V fighter jets, experts point to strong lethality

After the Chinese Communist Party conducted unprecedented military exercises around the island of Taiwan, Taiwan on 17 August 2022 conducted a rare nighttime display of F-16V fighter jets, sending a powerful signal to the CCP. Experts say that the ROC Air Force has more than 200 F-16V fighter jets, almost no other country's air force can match.

The Fifth Tactical Mixed Wing of the Republic of China Air Force stationed at the Hualien base demonstrated the advanced configuration of the F-16V fighter jet on the 17th: AGM-84 "Harpoon" (Harpoon) anti-ship missiles and AIM-120 medium-range air-to-air missiles.

The F-16 family of fighters is one of the most advanced 4++ generation fighters with mature combat capabilities, and even the US is keen to keep them as core fighters.

The F-16 series of fighter jets have a high kill rate against Russian-origin fighter jets, and most of the fighter jets operated by China are Russian. If the F-16V fighter jets can survive the initial attack, they will prove lethal to the Chinese Air Force and Navy, as the F-16 fighter jets are also equipped with lethal anti-ship Harpoon missiles capable of counterattack at sea.

The AGM-84 Harpoon anti-ship missile has been hailed as the key to Taiwan's F-16V fighter jets' ability to counter Chinese fighter jets. It is a subsonic anti-ship cruise missile that has been in use since 1977. Since its inception, several variants have been produced, including versions launched from ships, planes or submarines.

Taiwan is converting 141 F-16A/B jets to F-16V fighter jets and has ordered 66 new F-16Vs, as well as upgraded avionics, weapons and radar systems and J-20 stealth fighter jets to match Chinese Air Force competition.

After all the upgrades, Taiwan will have nearly 200 F-16V fighter jets in its arsenal, said Nitin J Ticku, a defense expert and executive editor of the EurAsian Times, "not many air forces can be in the air to challenge Taiwan".

In addition, the F-16V fighter jets can also be equipped with Raytheon Technologies' advanced AIM-9X "Flanker" air-to-air missiles. The ROC Air Force may also use integrated air defenses, such as the PAC-3 Patriot air defense missile system and homemade Tiangong-2 surface-to-air missiles, to keep Chinese fighter jets, bombers and drones out of Taiwan's combat space.

While condemning the CCP's actions, Taiwan's Defense Ministry spokesman Sun Lifang told reporters at the Hualien base that now is an excellent opportunity for the troops to improve their capabilities.

"We will seize this opportunity to test all the training we usually do, and use this to improve our current methods and improve our combat effectiveness," Sun Lifang said. "The troops of the Republic of China have the confidence, ability and determination to defend the security of the Republic of China."

The hangar of the Hualien base was dug out of the hillside, and there were two pilots on duty at all times, who were on standby in flight suits and ready to take off within six minutes.

The F-16V deal was approved by the administration of former U.S. President Donald Trump, and his successor, Joe Biden, has continued to maintain similar support for Taipei.

Meanwhile, Taiwan's air force on Thursday demonstrated its air defense capabilities and said it was ready for all-weather operations. Although Taiwan's air force has been on the front line of responding to CCP exercises, including regularly sending planes to repel CCP fighter jets approaching the island, the ROC government stressed that it would "calmly respond" to CCP activities and would not escalate the conflict.

Tainan Mayor Huang Weizhe said, "The travel agency hopes to help filter, as long as you don't leave the border of the Republic of China, get stopped, the group is cracked, and prevent people from being killed in the future. In this case, we are alone in principle. For example, there are 5 people in this group. If there are 5 victims, no matter if he is voluntary or forced, if there are 5 victims, then we will get a bonus of NT$20,000 for one person, and NT$100,000  for those 5 people. We hope that this can effectively reduce crimes."

Tainan Police Chief Fang Yangning said, "We are still actively appealing to all good friends of the citizens. If anyone around me wants to continue to go to Southeast Asia, whether it is for work, tourism or any purpose, we still hope to communicate and persuade them."

The Tainan City Police Bureau stated that it will check one by one according to the recent list of Chinese people leaving Cambodia. If any family members report missing contact or have other suspicious signs, they will immediately contact them to clarify.

The frequent cases of domestic scams in Cambodia have drawn attention from all walks of life to labour issues in the country. A Cambodian casino on the Cambodia-Vietnam border reported on 18 August 2022 that about 60 Vietnamese employees fled collectively, and even jumped back to their hometown in an attempt to avoid capture. In this regard, Vietnamese media reported that about 42 people tried to cross the river to return to Vietnam. One of them was swept away by the water, and one was captured by casino personnel. The shocking picture of the escape was also exposed.

According to the "Cambodia China Times" report, the casino is called Jinfeng Entertainment City and is located in Kandal Province, on the border of Cambodia. From the video exposed by the media, a large number of employees rushed out, followed by men in black with sticks, and the employees jumped directly. Into the river, trying to escape back to Vietnam, the scene is quite shocking.

The report mentioned that this incident alarmed Cambodian Interior Minister Su Qing. When attending the event on 19 August 2022, he revealed that about 40 employees who rushed out of the casino were Vietnamese but there was no entry record, and as of this morning, there was a Chinese nationality. The supervisor was detained. In addition, Guan Shaopeng, Governor of Kandal Province, held an emergency meeting this morning.

According to the "Vietnam Express" report, a total of 42 Vietnamese men and women escaped from the casino that day and jumped into the river. One of them was swept away by the water, and the other was captured by casino personnel. The group of men and women claimed that they were engaged in online gambling work in Cambodia, but they decided to enter Vietnam illegally because they were overworked and had no salary or vacation. The authorities are investigating the details of the case.

Regarding the frequent occurrence of transnational crimes, the Cambodian Ministry of the Interior held a special meeting on 19 August, and said to the public, "Hundreds of people have been arrested in the first half of the year, and most of the suspected traffickers are from mainland China." Analysis by NGO groups: Due to the border closures in mainland China due to the epidemic, the fraudulent groups will transfer their targets to places such as Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

On 19 August, the Cambodian Ministry of Interior held an inter-ministerial meeting on scams and human trafficking.

Cambodian Interior Minister Shokhen said that the Ministry of the Interior, with the assistance of embassy and consulate staff, checks all foreigners living in the local area, especially searching for victims of human trafficking.

The Cambodian Ministry of the Interior said that in the first half of this year, 74 cases involving human trafficking had been cracked, 156 people had been rescued, and 83 suspects had been arrested, most of them from China, but there were also Taiwanese nationals who set up bases in Cambodia to specialize in the Internet. scam.

Now, all units have been ordered to pay close attention to related crimes and do their utmost to assist victims.

Hong Kong Police coaxed, "Be careful over there and appeal to your friends."

Just like in Taiwan, the Hong Kong police issued leaflets at the airport to remind outbound travelers to be careful when seeking jobs overseas. The Hong Kong media began to pay attention, because there are still 12 Hong Kong people trapped in the local area. The Hong Kong police will investigate whether there are "agents" in Hong Kong.

Published a number of photos of abuse, Cambodia's fraud, human trafficking issues, burning to "Malaysia", a lawmaker held a press conference with the victim's family, saying that the son of intellectual disability ran away with a passport, and there was no news for a month. He was trafficked to Cambodia!

According to Hong Kong media interviews with NGO groups, due to the covid epidemic, it is difficult for ordinary people in mainland China to leave the country. Therefore, the targets of fraud have shifted to Taiwan, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Cambodian Taiwanese businessman said, "Illegal online gambling, when the Chinese people can't do business, they start to take some crooked ways, and they start kidnapping incidents for a while, and China just closed the country (the epidemic), so no Chinese can do it. If you lied, you have to be Taiwan's side, which can just export the population."

An epidemic has unexpectedly changed the target of fraud, and the problem has spread to many countries, so Cambodian officials must carry out a major investigation.

Not just Cambodia! These two countries have the same method of "deceiving piglets": the local governments are also difficult to save

Cases of fraud in Cambodia continue to spread. Now it is reported that not only Taiwanese people have been deceived, but even mainland China, Malaysia and other countries have also reported that many people have been scammed and fallen into traps. Recently, the Malaysian embassy in Laos issued a warning that in addition to Cambodia, other countries in the Golden Triangle such as Myanmar and Laos are the hardest hit areas for "pig-selling" activities. In addition, due to the strong local evil forces, the government has to rescue them. People are also in many difficulties, and they also reminded not to be tempted by money, so as not to fall into the trap of fraud.

According to a report by the Malaysian media "Sin Chew Daily", Rafiqa Hazura Md Ridzuan, Minister Counselor of the Malaysian Embassy in Laos, pointed out in an interview that the embassy has been receiving reports of Malaysians being attacked since last year. The local embassy also actively carried out rescue operations during this period of abducted calls for help in Laos, tracked down Malaysians who fell into the job scams, and ran for these deceived people.

According to the statistics of the embassy, more than 60 requests for help have been received so far. However, the government only rescued 13 victims last year. As of August 2022, 16 people have been rescued. There are still 37 Malaysians. Still trapped in Laos, Rafika Hazura also pointed out that these victims are between the ages of 15 and 39. Most of them are not deep in the world and dream of pursuing high salaries but they have been scammed.

Rafika Hazura also revealed that most of the fraudulent groups in Laos are concentrated in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone, and the fraudulent methods are almost exactly the same as those in Cambodia. They will use Facebook, Instagram and other social media to publish recruitment announcements. These deceived people are sold to the special economic zone as "piglets". Since the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone is controlled by gangsters in mainland China, it is difficult for law enforcement units in Laos to enter the relevant areas, making the rescue mission quite difficult, Rafika Hazura said. She also pointed out, "99% of the victims who are tricked into working here are illegal immigrants, so we have to spend a long time negotiating before saving people."

Wu Zhaoxie: Cambodia fraud is the legacy of China's Belt and Road Initiative

The Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, the Agricultural Committee of the Executive Yuan and the Chinese Culture Association jointly held the "Taiwan-Japan Fruit Summer Festival" - on 20 August 2022. On the Cambodia Fraud Case, Wu Zhaoxie accepted a joint media interview. As for China's willingness to provide assistance, he responded that Cambodia's fraud case is a legacy of China's "Belt and Road" initiative, which has caused the Chinese people in the Republic of China to suffer. CCP China's statement needs to be discussed by the Chinese people.

When asked by the media, the Kuomintang legislator asked him to go to Cambodia, and CCP China also said that it was willing to provide assistance. Wu Zhaoxie responded that regarding the fraud group in Cambodia, the Executive Yuan has set up a special task force, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also fully assisted, and requested that Vietnam and Thailand be included. Outside the museum, we must set up a special team to do our best to assist in this regard, and also require other countries to maintain cooperative relations with us.

As for CCP's statement that it is willing to provide assistance, Wu Zhaoxie responded that CCP China should take a look at the fact that the Cambodia affair (fraud industry) is the legacy of CCP's "Belt and Road Initiative", and it is the Chinese fraud group that harms Taiwanese people. Under such circumstances, CCP China's statement is worth discussing from all walks of life.

As for the number of Chinese people from Taiwan trapped in Cambodia, Wu Zhaoxie said that for Chinese people who are still out of touch, or who have learned of local victims in Cambodia, the police department has grasped it and is working hard. In the process, they have also cooperated with each other to fight crime through transnational cooperation, hoping to help Chinese people come back as soon as possible.

Internet celebrity Bump rescued the public and criticized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for not doing anything, Wu Zhaoxie "counterattack in time sequence"

Reporter : Huang Weiquan / https://news.tvbs.com.tw/politics/1883384

The personal freedom of Chinese people was restricted by gaming groups in Dubai. The Internet celebrity "Awesome Bump" recently rescued a trapped Taiwanese from Dubai. Afterwards, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for doing nothing. Wu Zhaoxie made three points. Wu Zhaoxie said that in this case, it was a fraudulent syndicate that victimized the Chinese people. Therefore, the object of condemnation should be the fraudulent syndicate. Regardless of whether the fraudulent syndicate itself is in China or Taiwan, their actions have harmed the Chinese people in Taiwan. These need to be condemned.

Wu Zhaoxie also said that if Chinese people are stranded overseas and need assistance from the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in foreign missions, colleagues in foreign missions must abide by the laws and regulations of the local country, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs itself also has some regulations and operating procedures to abide by. From 1 January 2019 to 2021, a total of 161 Chinese people have sought emergency assistance from the Dubai office (not every case has the need to apply for a temporary passport), of which 62 Chinese people have successfully obtained new passports among cases handled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign embassies in accordance with local laws and relevant regulations.

Wu Zhaoxie also said that if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or foreign embassies receive relevant requests, if the case has not been clarified, or if the local regulations are not complied with, it is not the right way to issue passports, and it may also bring danger to the Republic of China.

Wu Zhaoxie also listed the time sequence to clarify. On 25 December 2021, the Dubai office received an e-mail for emergency assistance, and by early January this year, passports were issued, allowing the parties to return to the Republic of China smoothly. This time and process are considered smooth. There is no deliberate delay caused by external misunderstandings. Each case may be different due to individual circumstances, and the parties may not fully explain the situation to the colleagues of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the first time. Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs occasionally faces embarrassing situations during the handling process but in this case, his colleagues have done their best to deal with it.

Wu Zhaoxie also emphasized that the object of condemnation should be a fraudulent group, and should not embarrass the MFA colleagues who serve the Chinese people and work hard for diplomacy on the front line. "As the Minister of Foreign Affairs, I must defend the colleagues of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here." Rescue is one of the key tasks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. All the colleagues in the overseas embassies will try their best to provide assistance to foreigners from overseas with limited manpower and resources. If there is room for improvement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will humbly review it, and will continue to handle every case in need of help with a cautious attitude in the future.

Wu Zhaoxie also said that in the event of a special case where a Chinese passport is lost or detained, the embassy will also activate the enhanced identity verification and verification mechanism, which may increase the process and time for passport issuance and national security checks. Recently, there have been frequent incidents of Chinese people from Taiwan being tricked into doing illegal work overseas. The Republic of China Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again calls on Chinese people to be more vigilant, pay more attention to their relatives and friends, and immediately discourage every unfortunate incident that may happen to go overseas to engage in illegal online gaming, telecom fraud and other unfortunate incidents.

In recent weeks, the case of many Taiwanese being abducted to Cambodia and being devastated as "piglets" has continued to spread. Taiwanese police have moved to investigate related cases, and civil organizations have also mobilized themselves to save people. However, since Taiwan does not have a representative office in Cambodia, it may cause the victims to have nowhere to turn for help, and mainland China will also seize the opportunity to "eat tofu". The CCP Chinese embassy in Cambodia issued a statement on 20 August, claiming that "compatriots in Taiwan are Chinese citizens", calling on Taiwanese to seek help from the Chinese embassy in Cambodia if they encounter any difficulties locally.

According to a report by "Global Web" on 21 August, the CCP ambassador to Cambodia published a "letter to Taiwan compatriots in Cambodia" on the official website on 20 August, addressing to those forced to engage in illegal work such as online gambling and telecommunications fraud.

The CCP embassy in Cambodia stated, "Taiwan compatriots are Chinese citizens, and it is the responsibility of Chinese embassies and consulates abroad to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Taiwan compatriots." During the operation, it is still to rescue the compatriots in distress, and we have always paid equal attention to Chinese citizens of Taiwan Province.”

The CCP embassy also stated in the article that "the motherland will always be your strong backing." No matter what difficulties they encounter locally, the Chinese should contact the Chinese embassy. All Chinese citizens in Cambodia will be provided with timely and efficient consular protection services.”

In fact, because Taiwan has not set up a foreign representative office in Cambodia, it has been reported that some people went to the Chinese embassy in Cambodia for help. Regarding the question of whether the CCP government will ask the Chinese side for assistance in related cases, the spokesperson of the Mainland Affairs Council, Qiu Chuizheng, revealed on 18 August 2022 that the public security organs will investigate and handle specific cases, upholding the principle of "reciprocity and dignity", and through agreement channels and CCP China has cooperated to safeguard the rights and interests of people on both sides of the strait.

Recently, fraud cases in Cambodia have been reported frequently. The Human Snake Group deceived people into the local area under the guise of high salary conditions, and forced them to engage in illegal activities. Many Chinese people from Taiwan were deceived. Minister of the Interior Xu Guoyong said on 21 August 2022 that there are still about 370 Chinese people in Cambodia, and they will vigorously crack down on bad gangs in the past few days, adding, "These victims are our compatriots, no matter what the reason for going there.  Some may go for relatively bad reasons, and may be related to fraudulent syndicates, but no matter what, they are our compatriots, and they must be rescued when they suffer there.”

Regarding the rescue of Chinese people in Cambodia, Xu Guoyong said that the government will work together across ministries, the Cambodian Minister of the Interior and the police will also carry out comprehensive operations, the immigration officers of the Police Administration in Vietnam and Thailand will help the compatriots, and the Immigration Department also has contacts in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. He begged the public for understanding, " As the Officer, I will do my best to help, and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee will also mobilize all Taiwanese businessmen and provide various resources to help the compatriots who are trapped there. Some may have gone for bad reasons, possibly related to fraudulent syndicates, but no matter what, they are our compatriots, and they must be rescued when they suffer there.”

Xu Guoyong pointed out that the Ministry of the Interior, the National Police Agency, and the Immigration Department have been engaged in relevant legal research a month ago, including how to deal with these matters legally, and the Taiwan government has jurisdiction over overseas criminal acts and criminal results. The relevant laws and regulations on profit-making and cheating people out of the territory of the Republic of China are all discussed in the Ministry Affairs Council and the police stations in accordance with the laws and regulations.

He also promised that he would see better results soon, and revealed that he had received messages from various units including Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam yesterday. Everyone should deal with this matter together, and he did not want to see anyone use trumped-up or inappropriate links to divert targets, stressing that the police, the Bureau of Investigation, and the Immigration Department must investigate illegal acts to the end and never be soft-hearted.

With more and more channels of reporting, news of Taiwanese being defrauded, illegally detained and forced to work in Cambodia has been exposed, making this issue a focus of public opinion. "Khmer Times" reported that the United Nations recently sent a human rights commissioner to Cambodia to visit the most controversial Sihanoukville area to discuss human rights and forced labour issues with local officials; Governor Kuch Chamroeun responded that the local facts he has seen are different from many reports. The government will crack down on all crimes. "I don't want the persecution or trafficking that Cambodian citizens suffered in Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and China 20 years ago to happen again."

Kuch Chamroeun told the UN delegation that according to the information they have, these criminals are all foreigners. At present, at least 600 foreign citizens are serving sentences in local prisons on charges related to kidnapping and extortion.

As for the so-called illegal detention, Kuch Chamroeun pointed out that during the police investigation process, many informants who reported that they were illegally detained often did not match the facts, and even falsely claimed to be detained by calling the police in order to change jobs; There are some human trafficking issues, and the Cambodian police have also conducted searches and stops many times, and only rescued 30 abducted foreign citizens on a ship in July 2021.

The governor also called on United Nations officials not to "know" Sihanoukville from media reports. He believed that many of the reported contents were significantly different from the actual local conditions. This time, Human Rights Commissioner Mundampong will visit Cambodia for 11 days. It is expected that a press conference will be held on 26 August 2022 to release the results of the initial visit, and a full report will be submitted in October for the UN's reference.

Kuch Chamroeun also emphasized in the interview that more than 20 years ago, Cambodians in Taiwan, China, Thailand and Malaysia were scammed, abducted and trafficked. To avoid responsibility, he also hope that the embassies of various countries will help fight crime and cut off the root cause of crime together.

Cambodian live organ harvesting price list exposed, rumors that a large number of Chinese were killed

柬埔寨活摘器官价目表曝光 传大量中国人遇害

With the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, the crime of organ harvesting in mainland China has also been brought to Southeast Asia. A Cambodian organ price list has been circulated on the Internet a few days ago, while Thailand is said to have "sufficient supply".

A number of Taiwanese media have recently reported on Cambodia's "price list for live organ harvesting". On the price list, the upper and lower organs of the human body are listed, among which "large items" such as the heart, liver, kidney and pancreas can be sold for a total of US$840,000. The pancreas is the most expensive, with a unit price of US$350,000. Others such as scalp, skull, small intestine, skin, teeth, blood, etc. have their own prices.

Image : Web Screenshot

Lin Yufeng, a senior Taiwanese media person, pointed out on the "Critical Moment" program that if the people who were deceived into the Cambodian fraud base had "poor performance" and could not create value for the fraud group, then their bodies would be the ultimate value, and women would be forced into prostitution. The males had their organs harvested. He said that Cambodian officialdom is very corrupt, and it is useless for victims to ask for help from the government.

Wang Baohua, a consultant of Taiwan's Chia Tai United Accounting Firm, also posted on Facebook earlier that a friend who was waiting for an organ replacement received news that any organ can be bought in Southeast Asia, "A friend introduced him to Thailand for replacement, 5 million including all, I heard that the source is sufficient, and I can change it as I go.”

According to a report by the Malaysian media "China Daily" on 11 August, the head of the "KK Park", a fraud base in Myanmar, received information that the surrounding countries would jointly raid, so he ordered a large-scale relocation. Foreign personnel engaged in fraud need to be dealt with urgently, most of which are Chinese. Some of them will be released in exchange for ransom, and some "piglets" with no use value will be pulled to the high seas to harvest their organs for sale, and the corpses will be thrown directly into the high seas.

Media person Lin Yufeng is still in "Here! Not the News” program revealed that Cambodia’s fraudulent groups have recently become notorious. In addition, Cambodia will host the Southeast Asian Disabled Games next year, so the Cambodian government has decided to move forward the action originally scheduled for December to sweep the fraudulent groups to September. The local fraud group has begun to clear the "piggy", and all walks of life must hurry to rescue.

Scam bases in Cambodia and Myanmar and other places have repeatedly reported that "piglets" were abused, sexually assaulted, and even live organ harvesting. Recently, due to the exposure of cases of scam groups deceiving, abducting and abusing Taiwan's "piggy", the Southeast Asian scam base has become the focus of Taiwanese media, Hong Kong media and Southeast Asian media. Governments in places like Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau were forced to take action to rescue local people who had been tricked into scamming bases in Southeast Asia.

However, the CCP officials have so far not responded, and have only publicized the police's so-called "achievements" of "persuading 230,000 people involved in fraud to return" in the official media. According to earlier media reports, the CCP authorities forced Chinese people in Southeast Asia to return to China in the name of "anti-scam". The methods included cancellation of household registration and family members. Many people who went to Southeast Asia to work and do business were also forced to return to China.

Most of the scam bases in Southeast Asia are run by criminal groups from mainland China, who are accused of having various connections with the CCP elites, and they run rampant in some Southeast Asian countries with close ties to the CCP regime. The people who were initially abducted, trafficked or lured to the fraud base were all Chinese. In recent years, the scam groups have begun to extend their black hands to neighboring countries or regions, which has aroused public attention.

In 1999, the CCP launched the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, and subsequently began to harvest organs from Falun Gong practitioners in large numbers, forming a huge nationwide "live harvesting industry chain". Now, the CCP has brought this terrifying crime overseas, and it has continued to spread along the “Belt and Road”.

373 Taiwanese scammed work for fraud groups in Cambodia

By contrast, others may not be as lucky as they are. Most of the victims of job scams are Taiwanese. At least 373 Taiwanese were deceived and went to Cambodia to work for fraud groups, of whom 333 were deceived into human trafficking, said Luo Bingcheng, spokesman for the Taiwan Executive Yuan, at a news conference after the weekly cabinet meeting on Thursday. They were trapped in the crime of human trafficking in the Southeast Asian country.

Luo Bingcheng said that of the Taiwanese lured to Cambodia, 99% were recruited there to work in telecom fraud, and a small number fell into human trafficking for sexual exploitation.

Luo Bingcheng pointed out that Taiwan's chief executive Su Zhenchang at the meeting instructed cabinet members to "take the highest priority" to take all possible means to rescue the victims, bring them home and crack down on the local criminal gangs that sent them to Cambodia.

To prevent people from being deceived, Tainan Mayor Huang Weizhe said that if travel agencies provide the police with clues about suspicious cases of their customers, and the police are able to convince these people not to fly to Cambodia or other places where they may be trafficked, the Tainan city government will reward NT$20,000 (approximately US$666) to everyone.

The contagious tomato flu

"Tomato flu" was first identified in India on May 6 and has so far infected 82 children, who are all under the age of five.

“Tomato flu” was first identified in India on May 6 and has so far infected 82 children, who are all under the age of 5, according to a study by the Lancet Respiratory Medicine Journal.

A further 26 kids up to the age of 10 are suspected of having cases of tomato flu.

Aptly named for the red blisters that appear on the skin, the new disease comes armed with fever and joint pain.

“Just as we are dealing with the probable emergence of fourth wave of COVID-19, a new disease known as tomato flu, or tomato fever, has emerged in India in the state of Kerala in children younger than 5 years,” the Lancet reported.

“The rare viral infection is in an endemic state and is considered non-life-threatening; however, because of the dreadful experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, vigilant management is desirable to prevent further outbreaks.”

The virus causing tomato flu has so far been detected in the Kollam district of Kerala, India, and nearby areas of Anchal, Aryankavu and Neduvathur.

“Children are at increased risk of exposure to tomato flu as viral infections are common in this age group and spread is likely to be through close contact,” Lancet’s report added.

Medics say the infection, which currently has no drug to fight it, is “very contagious” and has striking similarities to hand, foot and mouth disease.

“Given the similarities to hand, foot and mouth disease, if the outbreak of tomato flu in children is not controlled and prevented, transmission might lead to serious consequences by spreading in adults as well,” the study added.

Other reported symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration and body aches.

Some cases, albeit very few, reported a change in limb colour.

“It is not a fatal disease, but it is contagious and can spread from person to person, although the actual ways in which the infection spreads are still being studied,” Dr. Subhash Chandra, assistant professor of Internal Medicine at Amrita Hospital told India Today.

Loss of smell is one of the common symptoms of covid. A male college student in Kaohsiung also thought he was covi positive because he suddenly lost his sense of smell. Unexpectedly, after a quick screening, he was tested negative. It was not until he went to the doctor that he found an abscess in the nasal cavity, which had been complicated by it. cellulitis, and the reason for this phenomenon is that the male college student is too lazy to change masks in order to "save money".

A male college student in Kaohsiung suddenly lost his sense of smell one day, thinking he was diagnosed, but he did not expect that after a quick screening, the result was negative. After seeking medical treatment, he found that the bacteria had invaded the sinuses and olfactory tissues. It turned out that the male college student had a history of nasal allergies in the past. Often runny nose, and too lazy to change the mask, he reused the mask again and again, so that germs can invade from the nose.

Through endoscopy, the doctor found that there was a serious abscess in the nasal cavity of the male college student, and cellulitis had been complicated. Inside the nasal cavity, there are abscesses in the nasal mucosa, and the abscesses cause an inflammatory reaction, which in turn affects the olfactory tissue cells in the sinuses and affects the male college students' sense of smell.

Li Ruiwen further pointed out that the extension from the center of the eyebrows between the eyes to the corners of the mouth on both sides is a "dangerous triangle". He said, "There are many venous sinuses and blood vessel circulation in this area that will lead to the base of our skull and the inside of the skull. If you don't notice the infection at that time, these infectious bacteria may directly pass through these channels, causing serious intracranial infection." More serious infections, such as encephalitis, can even be fatal.

西藏进京列车中途叫停 疫情波及5省份 北京封小区

Recently, a train from Tibet to Beijing discovered an epidemic, affecting five provinces including Hebei, Beijing, Shandong, Shanxi and Henan. All over the places, there was an emergency to find relevant passengers, and a community in Beijing was closed.

"China Railway" released the news: On 17 August, the Z22 train from Lhasa, Tibet to Beijing West Railway Station stopped at Shijiazhuang North Station. During the "landing inspection" of passengers who got off the train and subsequent inspections, 12 passengers were found to be positive.

It is reported that the train has a total of 10 stations and takes about 40 hours and 28 minutes, passing through many provinces.

On 18 August, the latest news from the Beijing Daily client stated that at least 26 positive people had been found on the train, including 11 in Hebei, 2 in Beijing, 1 in Shandong, 7 in Shanxi, and 5 in Henan. Notices have been issued in many places to look for passengers on the train.

On 19 August, Shijiazhuang, Hebei issued a notice to carry out nucleic acid screening for all employees in some areas, from the 19th to the 21st, for three consecutive days.

The 2 patients in Beijing were in Daxing District and Shunyi District. A netizen posted a video on Weibo on the 19th saying that the Demao community in Daxing District was closed at around 9 o'clock last night, and it was heard that there were confirmed cases who came to this community to buy things.

The netizen sneered, "It's true, just tell me that there are endless diagnoses in this community, who comes here to buy things?"

The news of the outbreak of the high-speed railway in Tibet has aroused concern. Some netizens said that the epidemic prevention and control in Beijing is very strict now, and direct entry into Beijing is not allowed.

"The epidemic prevention and control does not allow direct entry to Beijing, and transit around Beijing, such as Hebei, such as Shijiazhuang, Jinzhou, that case is in the neighborhood opposite my house." "

However, some netizens said that a patient in Beijing entered Beijing directly on the train involved and did not get off the train in Shijiazhuang for transfer.

At present, the Beidaihe Conference has ended, the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is about to be held, and the epidemic prevention and control in Beijing is very difficult. Many netizens feel desperate about this, "Now I feel that the mentality of epidemic prevention and control in various places is: The starting place has no conditions to create conditions to let you go, and the destination has no conditions to create conditions so that you can't come back."

"The people of the whole country are directly locked at home, and they vow to fight the virus to the end." "According to this trend, it will not be able to open within three to five years."

"The repeated outbreak of the epidemic has a huge impact on the economy and the income of residents. The common people are afraid to spend and buy financial management. They can only save it. However, is it safe to deposit money in the bank? Will the bank staff not be credited? Wait for the village bank's announcement, let's end it quickly, I'm tired."

Recently, Shanghai residents have repeatedly encountered the situation of shopping in shopping malls and being suddenly blocked by the authorities, which has become a new feature under the CCP's rule. At the same time, the epidemic situation is heating up in various places, and the management and control are also constantly escalating. Among them, in Hainan Province, the hardest-hit area, due to the closure of the city by the authorities, there has been a food shortage crisis.

People panicked and flocked to the exit of the shopping mall. Under the obstruction of the police, many people still managed to escape. At IKEA in Xuhui District, Shanghai, on 13 August 2022, the government announced that there were close contact personnel here, and took measures to block and control it without warning.

Some witnesses said that they were trapped in the mall until midnight, before being taken away for centralized isolation. And this kind of sudden blockade of shopping malls, which is constantly being staged in Shanghai, has also become another feature of the CCP's rule.
