Taiwanese kicked Pavilion in Geneva! Hold the "Xi Virus" billboard to choke the Chinese embassy
Image : "Shield Dentist" Shi Shuhua, director of the Taiwan United Nations Association for the Advancement of Taiwan, Wu Xindai, chairman of Taiwan Foundation Taipei Party Committee, Dr. Zhang Zongda, head of the 2023 WHA propaganda team of the Taiwan United Nations Association for the Advancement of Taiwan, and Dr. Du Chengzhe went to China on 20 May to the United Nations Office in Geneva. They protested in front of the delegation's premises and expressed their Taiwan's demands to join the WHO. (From Dr. Du Chengzhe's Facebook fan page)
Taiwan Foundation said on 20 May 2023 that Taiwan Foundation Taipei Party Committee Chairman Wu Xindai, Tainan Party Department Executive Director Wu Yijie, and International Department Commissioner Yang Xinyi went to Geneva, Switzerland to participate in the "Supporting Taiwan and WTO Accession" Health" series of activities, together with Dr. Zhang Zongda, head of the 2023 WHA Propaganda Team of the Taiwan United Nations Association for the Advancement of the United Nations, Dr. Shi Shuhua, "Shield Dentist", Dr. Du Chengzhe, and Internet celebrity "Poland e Taiwan Girl Stan" and others went to the Chinese Embassy in Geneva to protest against China's suppression of Taiwan, concealment of the epidemic and other improper measures, and staged an action drama on the spot to break the "Xi virus" cardboard.
Wu Xindai said that today's participation in the parade supporting Taiwan's entry into the WHO is mainly to convey to the world the importance of Taiwan in the world. Choosing to protest in front of the Chinese embassy mainly wants to emphasize the "China issue". She said that China is an authoritarian regime, and what the entire regime conveys is "Xi Jinping's will." As a result, the epidemic has killed about 7 million people around the world.
Wu Xindai emphasized that considering the global disaster caused by Xi Jinping, it is "natural" to make Xi Jinping a virus, and it is not deliberately provocative. If China keeps blocking Taiwan from joining international organizations, we must use various methods to let everyone hear our voice.
Dr. Zhang Zongda said that Taiwan is a model student in the world in terms of health services, and today we are going to investigate the culprit of the covid epidemic- CCP China. Whether the CCP is in the prevention and control of the epidemic, closing the city or opening up, there is no prior planning, which has caused 700 million people worldwide to be infected and millions of people lost their lives. Therefore, today is to condemn the culprits, and on the other hand support Taiwan's entry into the United Nations.
Shi Shuhua said that Taiwan is recognized as the country with the highest risk of the epidemic in the world in 2020, but the mortality rate of the successful epidemic prevention is only 0.2%, which is one-fifth of the global average, but we can't even step into the WHO meeting because "Learn the virus". They want to emphasize to the rest of the world that Taiwan represents democracy and freedom, while the Chinese Communist Party represents autocracy and evil.
Du Chengzhe pointed out that COVID-19 is a global epidemic, but in Taiwan's epidemic prevention process, we can vaguely feel the lingering Chinese factor. While our command center is protecting the people of Taiwan, China is spreading nonsense about the government's "blocking vaccines". There are many epidemics in China itself, and it is really exaggerated that there is still room to attack the neighboring countries.
Stein criticized that the Chinese Communist embassy actually represents a "terrorist organization" masquerading as a regime. He said that the Wuhan virus was first discovered by a doctor from Taiwan, and he also contacted the World Health Organization, but it was not read back. The result of the pandemic was that many countries chose to "kowtow" to China.

Taiwan wants to join the WHO! Hundreds of people march in Geneva, Swiss people "Cheer for Taiwan"

(Provided by the Taiwan United Nations Association for the Advancement of WHA)
The 76th World Health Assembly (WHA) is held in Geneva, Switzerland from 21 to 30 May 2023. Due to CCP China’s suppression over the years, the Republic of China has not been invited and cannot participate. Hundreds of Taiwanese and international friends from Taiwan, the United States, Africa, and European countries gathered on 20 May 2023 at the "Tripod Chair" square in front of the United Nations Office in Geneva to express to the world that Taiwan wants to become a member of the international community, contribute their own voice. The parade attracted the attention of many people, and many local people also expressed their support for Taiwan.
The United Nations Association of Taiwan stated through a press release that at the event site, there was a group of "Three Princes of Electronic Music" from Taiwan to stir up the atmosphere, and then there were Taiwanese overseas Chinese from all over the world, including members of the WHA Propaganda Group of the United Nations Association of Taiwan. International friends took turns standing on the soap box to express Taiwan's aspirations, and also accused China of suppressing Taiwan internationally. After the speech, led by two Taiwanese-German children from Germany, the audience held hands and sang "I am our baby", which moved many participants.
Dr. Shi Shuhua, director of the United Nations Association for the Advancement of Taiwan, said that Taiwan's medical standards are among the top and top in the world. Although Taiwan was considered the most dangerous country in the world at the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic; however, Taiwan's infection mortality rate is far lower than the world average, and it can also export masks and vaccines to other countries. Taiwan's medical level is the world leader, but it is excluded from the WHO. Shi Shuhua asked directly: "Is this reasonable?"
Shi Shuhua called on all countries in the world to help Taiwan join the WHO, not only to help Taiwan, but also to help the whole world. "To stand with Taiwan is to stand with justice."
Dr. Du Chengzhe, a member of the WHA Propaganda Group of the United Nations Association for the Advancement of the United Nations in Taiwan, said that although the wish of Taiwanese people to become a part of the world may not be achieved in one or two days, it still takes a year and a year of hard work to convey the idea. The flame of Taiwan cannot be extinguished, and it will be realized one day.
After the chorus, a group of people marched in the streets around the United Nations Office in Geneva, shouting slogans and singing, calling on all countries in the world to support Taiwan's membership in the WHO. The huge parade also attracted many passersby to watch. Members of the United Nations Association for the Advancement of Taiwan and the "Here I Stand Project" also took this opportunity to distribute flyers to explain Taiwan's position and needs. Many local people expressed that they knew about Taiwan's situation, supported Taiwan's joining the World Health Organization, and cheered for the Taiwanese who participated in the parade. The group also passed by the premises of the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva to express the Republic of China's appeal.
The Swiss-Taiwan Chamber of Commerce also held a unique event at the end of the parade. In addition to Taiwanese delicacies and performances such as stewed pork rice, meatballs, pearl milk tea, and guabao, there were also cultural activities such as waving and Paiwan traditional costumes parade.

China claims Taiwan has access to WHO's epidemic information channel; Mainland Affairs Council: Deceptive lies
Reporter : Zhong Lihua / https://news.ltn.com.tw/news/politics/breakingnews/4307377
The 2023 World Health Assembly (WHA) starts on 21 May 2023. Although Taiwan has not yet received the invitation letter, Minister of Health and Welfare Xue Ruiyuan has already set off for Geneva on the 19th as scheduled. Ma Xiaoguang, spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council of China, said that Taiwan’s communication and cooperation channels for participating in the WHO’s technical field are fully smooth, and the channels for obtaining various information and support for epidemic prevention and control are completely effective. This statement is self-defeating. In this regard, the MAC criticized it as a deceitful lie.
Ma Xiaoguang said that the position on this issue is consistent and clear, and must be handled in accordance with the "one China" principle, the fundamental principle confirmed by UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 and WHA Resolution 25.1. The DPP stubbornly adheres to the separatist stance of Taiwan independence and refuses to recognize the "1992 Consensus" embodying the one-China principle. As a result, the political basis for Taiwan's participation in the World Health Assembly no longer exists. This situation is entirely caused by the DPP.
The MAC expressed its solemn protest and condemnation against the CCP’s obstruction of my participation in WHA again, and pointed out that the CCP misquoted UNGA Resolution 2758 and WHA Resolution 25.1, and improperly linked it to the “One China Principle” set by it. The cognitive and legal warfare of the international community is also a brutal suppression of Taiwan's international space, and it is also a disregard and deprivation of the health rights and interests of 23 million Taiwanese people.
The MAC stated that it is an indisputable fact that the Beijing authorities obstructed Taiwan's participation in the WHA, which prevented Taiwan from obtaining timely and sufficient global epidemic prevention information, and even created a gap in the international epidemic prevention system. The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council's so-called "Taiwan's communication and cooperation channels for participating in the WHO's technical field are fully unblocked" and "the channels for obtaining various epidemic prevention and control information and support are completely effective" are fundamentally deceptive lies.
The MAC emphasized that the Republic of China is a sovereign country, and it is the Republic's right and duty to participate in international organizations and activities, and the CCP has no right to comment. Once again, MAC would like to tell the CCP authorities that brutal suppression and obstruction of Taiwan's participation in international organizations and activities will not change Taiwan's determination to go global, and the people of Taiwan will never succumb to suppression.

CCP China claims that "the channels for obtaining various information and resources for epidemic prevention and control are completely effective", the Taiwan CDC countered the three major lies
Reporter : Wu Liangyi / https://news.ltn.com.tw/news/life/breakingnews/4307319 / Image : As the countdown to the World Health Assembly (WHA) begins, agencies in Taiwan from 8 countries, including the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, and Lithuania, jointly voiced their support for Taiwan's meaningful participation in the World Health Organization (WHO) and WHA. (Provided by AIT)
The Chinese delegation from Taiwan took a flight to Geneva, Switzerland in the evening of 19 May 2023. CCP China continues to suppress the Republic of CHina (Taiwan), which has resulted in not receiving an invitation letter from the World Health Assembly (WHA) again this year. The Communist side claims "he channels for communication and cooperation in the technical field of WHO are fully unblocked, and the channels for obtaining various information and resources for epidemic prevention and control are completely effective." At night of 19 May, the Taiwan CDC counterattacked 3 Chinese lies.
The CDC pointed out that in accordance with the "Cross-Strait Medical and Health Cooperation Agreement" signed in 2010, the Republic of China proposed to send experts to Wuhan for investigation and exchange through the cross-strait contact window on 6 January 2020. The Chinese side notified by phone on the evening of 11 January of that year, agreeing that two Chinese experts would go to Wuhan for investigation from 13 to 14 January 2020.
Taiwan's two experts took the flight to Wuhan, China at 7.15 pm on 12 January 2020, and arrived at 10.05 pm. The itinerary was arranged and accompanied by the Chinese side. The Taiwanese experts can only use limited information such as oral reports from the other party to determine that the virus has the ability to be transmitted from person to person. Therefore, after the experts returned to the Republic of China on 15 January 2020, the Taiwan CDC immediately list the disease as "severe special infectious pneumonia" on the same day in the fifth category of notifiable infectious disease.
Secondly, the first SARS-CoV-2 virus sequence obtained by the Republic of China on 11 January 2020, was downloaded by the CDC from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database, and started immediately after obtaining it and developed nucleic acid detection methods and distributed these methods to eight designated inspection agencies, and successfully detected the first overseas immigration case in Taiwan on 21 January 2020.
During the epidemic period, we and the Chinese side exchanged information on the new crown pneumonia epidemic information. The Chinese side provided the epidemic situation (including providing technical documents 12 times) and responded to our inquiries for a total of 464 times. However, many of the epidemic information provided were only published on Information from the official website.
Third, the CDC pointed out that from 2009 to 2023, the WHO held more than thousands of meetings. Taiwan applied to the WHO to participate in 237 technical meetings, but it was only invited to attend 88 meetings, and the rejection rate was as high as 70%. "The claims are not true."

The 76th World Health Assembly (WHA) is held in Geneva, Switzerland from today (21 May) to 30 May 2023. Due to Communist China’s suppression over the years, the Republic of China (Taiwan) has not been invited and cannot participate. While the international community continued to support Taiwan last year, the "Formosa Club" stated on the 20th Taiwan time that a total of 926 members of Congress from the European Parliament, the 27 EU countries, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Canada jointly sent a letter to the World Health Organization (WHO) Secretary-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus strongly called for Taiwan to be included in this World Health Assembly, allowing Taiwan to participate in all WHO meetings, mechanisms and activities.
Before the WHA was held this year, many countries had expressed their support for the Republic of China (Taiwan)'s participation in the WHO. Taiwan's 12 allies have sent a letter to Tedros, requesting that the proposal of "inviting Taiwan to participate in WHA as an observer" be included in the agenda of the General Assembly; the G7 and the European Union have also expressed their explicit support in the joint statement of foreign ministers for three consecutive years. The Taiwan agencies of the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, and Lithuania also issued a joint press release, reaffirming their support for Taiwan's meaningful participation in WHO affairs and participating in the WHA as an observer.
The joint letter titled "Incorporating Taiwan into all meetings, mechanisms and activities of the 76th World Health Assembly and the World Health Organization" mentioned that when the world did not know the existence of the COVID-19 virus, Taiwan had In March notified the WHO of suspected cases of "atypical pneumonia" in China. After the epidemic broke out and raged around the world, Taiwan left a deep impression on the world with its effective and smart epidemic prevention measures. In the early days of the outbreak, Taiwan also donated necessary medical supplies to more than 80 countries around the world to save lives. Taiwan's successful control of the epidemic has demonstrated its ability and willingness to contribute to the international public health system.
Members pointed out that although the threat of the epidemic has been relatively small, we should not forget the lesson that "a comprehensive public health network must not have any loopholes."
Then, the congressman also mentioned that when the international community was shocked by Russia's invasion of Ukraine and mobilized to provide aid to Ukrainian refugees, Taiwan quickly joined the global action to alleviate the possible humanitarian crisis. The people and government of Taiwan joined hands with like-minded partners in the spirit of justice and solidarity, not only donating 27 tons of medical supplies and more than 700 tons of humanitarian relief supplies, but also donating more than 41 million U.S. dollars to Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania and other neighbouring countries of Ukraine to assist in resettlement refugee. At the end of last year, when Ukrainian infrastructure was severely damaged by Russian attacks, Taiwan donated another US$2 million to Kharkiv, Nikolaev, and Kherson to help purchase equipment to survive the severe winter.
The congressman pointed out that Russia's invasion of Ukraine reminded the world that mutual efforts and solidarity are still crucial if the universal values of freedom and democracy, as well as the rules-based international order, are to be upheld. Therefore, supporting democratic Taiwan's desire to meaningfully participate in the WHO must also contribute to building a better world.
Members mentioned that the theme of this year's World Health Assembly is "Saving Lives, Promoting Health for All". The participation of Taiwan in the General Assembly and related meetings will reflect WHO's commitment to adopt an inclusive approach to international public health cooperation and to promote the goal of "Health for All",
Members pointed out that the WHO failed to respond to the strong call for Taiwan to join in the past three years. This is "unfair treatment" for Taiwan. It also damages the health rights of Taiwan's 23.5 million citizens and deprives the international community of Taiwan's contribution and opportunity to benefit.
In conclusion, the Members emphasized that it is undoubtedly in the interest of all that Taiwan participates in the 76th World Health Assembly as an observer and participates regularly in all WHO meetings, mechanisms and activities, and will help prevent the next global pandemic Disease occurs. They called on Tedros to take swift action to resolve Taiwan's involvement.
