China is plotting to establish a pro-China regime in 2024. Taiwan's national affairs meeting: the government should not allow the rhetoric of "belonging to one China"
Reporter : Chen Yufu / https://news.ltn.com.tw/news/politics/breakingnews/4287421/ Image : The statement of the Taiwan State Council at home and abroad emphasized that China is trying to influence the 2024 Taiwan election and conspiring to establish a pro-CCP regime. Pro-CCP activists used words such as "peace" and "anti-war" to weaken the Taiwanese people's will to resist CCP's protection of Taiwan and lay the foundation for China's reunification by force. The Taiwan National Alliance and the World Taiwanese Congress recently held the "Twelfth Domestic and Overseas Taiwan State Affairs Conference". Pro-China activists used words such as "peace" and "anti-war" to weaken the Taiwanese people's will to resist China's protection of Taiwan and lay the foundation for China's reunification by force. The government should integrate Taiwan's national identity, and cannot let the confusion of "the same China belongs to the same China" continue to ferment.
The statement of the Taiwan State Affairs Conference at home and abroad pointed out that at the moment when the era of globalization has come to an end, the industrial chain has been reorganized, and geopolitics has returned, Taiwan, which is located at a key fulcrum of the first island chain and is also the middleof the global semiconductor industry, has become a leader in the current world situation. The strength of international friendship with Taiwan is unprecedented.
The statement mentions that CCP China, which is delusional to annex Taiwan, is of course not happy to see Taiwan's international status improve. Not only has it increased the force of attacking and intimidating Taiwan, but it has also strengthened its collusion with a small number of Chinese activists in Taiwan, conducting intensive cognitive operations and Communist infiltration, in an attempt to influence the 2024 Taiwan general election, and conspire to establish a pro-CCP regime.
The statement emphasizes that pro-CCP activists pretended to be free of speech, cooperated with China's foreign propaganda, spread false and exaggerated information, slandered the local regime, and created social confrontation. What's more, deliberately ignoring CCP's intention to invade Taiwan by force, using words such as "peace" and "anti-war" to weaken the Taiwanese people's will to resist CCP's protection of Taiwan, create a breach in their hearts, and lay the foundation for CCP China's reunification by force. It is an urgent crisis facing Taiwan.
The statement also mentioned that Taiwan's freedom and democracy are the result of countless Taiwanese people's long-term sacrifice and struggle, and the Taiwanese people are absolutely willing to continue to defend democracy and freedom. However, freedom of speech cannot be an excuse for treason and betrayal of Taiwan. In order to ensure Taiwan's sovereignty and peace, the only way is to defend the local political power, abandon pro-China politicians, build up military forces, fight against China to protect Taiwan, and fight dictatorship with democracy and freedom, rather than indulge in the oversimplification of "peace or war" thinking.
In order to seek long-term peace and stability in Taiwan, the statement solemnly calls on the government to, in addition to continuously enriching its armaments, improving its national defense, and actively participating in the democratic camp's International Anti-CCP Alliance, to further integrate Taiwan's national identity and not to let things like "belonging to one China" be tolerated and not wait for the disordered speech that does not distinguish between the enemy and the enemy to continue to ferment. Statements that confuse national identity can at least dismantle the defenses of some people, and at worst, cause the alliance camp to misunderstand Taiwan's determination to defend itself. How can the government not deal with it carefully.
It is also suggested that in the short term, speeches that confuse national identity should be actively and strictly investigated in accordance with the law, and those with serious circumstances should be treated as rebellion and investigated. From a long-term perspective, the government should sincerely face the chaos caused by Taiwan's different national identities, show courage, take advantage of the situation, rectify Taiwan's name, formulate a new constitution, clearly separate Taiwan from China, and completely solve the root cause of national identity confusion. Only on the basis of a sound national consciousness can we strengthen the resilience of democracy and ensure the perpetuation of Taiwan's sovereignty, freedom and democracy.

Anti-United Front! The Ministry of National Defense imitates the style of Chinese films and responds to the CCP’s internal propaganda: They just don’t understand

The CCP's official media "China Central Television" aired "Taiwan Chapter" in the fourth season of "Aerial Photography of China", and carried out united front work aggressively. In this regard, the Ministry of National Defense of our country specially imitated the tone and background music of Chinese online videos to produce "counter-counter videos", emphasizing that all the beauty of Taiwan is the result of freedom and democracy, "the CCP does not understand and does not want to admit it"!
"CCTV" program "Aerial Photography China" aired the fourth season "Taiwan Chapter" on April 29. On the screen, scenic spots and landmarks such as Eluanbi Coast, Taitung Zhangyuan Coast, Yilan Guishan Island, Central Mountain Range, and Taipei 101 appeared on the screen. From the perspective of overlooking the beautiful scenery of Taiwan, it is used to promote "the blood of the people on both sides of the strait is thicker than water" and "the cultures on both sides of the strait have the same roots and common ancestors", and blow the tone of the united front. In this regard, the "Youth Daily", the official newspaper of the Ministry of National Defense, released on 30 April 2023 a counter-produced video produced by Kuaishou of the Political Warfare Brigade of the Ministry of National Defense. "They still don't understand the CCP's united front video "Overlooking Taiwan". The taste of Taiwan is the taste of democracy and freedom!"
The Political Bureau criticized the CCP in the video, only talking about the beautiful scenery of Taiwan, but kept silent about Taiwan’s freedom and democracy. Taiwan’s geographical landscapes such as Alishan and Sun Moon Lake, as well as cultural customs such as the Wang Boat Festival and Mazu’s tour. But they don’t understand, and they have never been willing to admit that all the beautiful things in Taiwan are the result of the freedom and democracy of the Republic of China. We have the air of freedom and the right to choose anything to create these beautiful landscapes. The CCP’s attitude of only looking at the surface and ignoring the essence has made the programs produced by these behind-the-scenes personnel superficial, which is a pity. Only by pursuing freedom and embracing democracy can we truly appreciate these beauties.”
The end of the video was sour, CCTV should not have "abbreviated" the title of the program to "Aerial Photography China", "it should be changed to the Republic of China"!
Image : The "Heart War Brigade" of the Political Warfare Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense quickly produced a counter-video, and also specially imitated the "Chinese-style" background music and dubbing, and countered the United Front propaganda video of the CCP's official media "CCTV", saying bluntly, "They still don't understand, The taste of Taiwan is the taste of democracy and freedom." (Picture taken from Youth Daily Facebook)
Netizens expressed that "the beauty of a free motherland is beyond the comprehension of the victims of bandit areas", "Taiwan and China do not exist at all, and the only real existence of Taiwan and China is China's invasion of Taiwan and the country's invasion of the country", " What else does the Communist Party do besides intimidating Taiwan’s air and sea areas every day? Taiwan’s democracy, speech, religion, freedom, etc. are hard-won. It is the sacrifice and dedication of a few predecessors. I am very fortunate to live in such a Taiwan.”
Destroying the environment and tearing society apart Solomons are in chaos after establishing diplomatic relations with the CCP

Since the Solomon Islands established diplomatic relations with the CCP government in 2019, the influence of the CCP has rapidly permeated all aspects of the country. During his recent visit to the United States, the former governor of Malaita Province, Suidani disclosed to the media that the CCP used money to infiltrate the country’s political arena, influence public opinion, influence government operations, and cleanse dissidents.
The Solomon Islands, an island country in the South Pacific, used to be a "paradise" in many people's minds. Most of the residents here lived freely by farming and fishing, and the natural ecological environment was also well protected. However, since the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Chinese government, this originally simple and peaceful archipelago has undergone earth-shaking changes.

Solomon islanders are dissatisfied with Sogavare
First of all, after Sogavare was re-elected as prime minister for the fourth time, he ignored public opinion and tried his best to please the Chinese Communist government. The people of Solomon were very dissatisfied with this. There were many grievances among the Solomon people, and many protests and demonstrations broke out.
Malaita is the most populous province in the Solomon Islands. In June 2019, Daniel Suidani was elected governor of the province.

Environment destruction begins after a large number of Chinese people landed in Malaita
In an exclusive interview with Radio Free Asia on 28 April 2023, Suidani recalled that when he was elected as the governor of Malaita, a large number of Chinese people began to flow into the Solomon Islands to work or open shops, and then some Chinese companies set foot in Malaita. The logging industry in Leta Province, wherever it goes, not only causes damage to the environment while plundering resources, but also creates local inequality and leads to social tearing.

Solomon newspaper becomes CCP's mouthpiece
Suidani revealed that the CCP’s propaganda has quickly penetrated into the country’s public opinion circles, and the Solomon Star, one of the country’s two major media outlets, quickly became the CCP’s propaganda machine. In order to expand its influence, the CCP also provided computers and other items to the media of the country to solicit, which caused the reports of these media to be biased and even made false reports.

CCP's business bribery continues in the Solomon Islands
The CCP has also targeted the elites of the country, using money to influence government personnel, and giving them "classes" to brainwash and propagate the elites, including once using money to lure Suidani himself, but he refused to collude with the CCP.
Suidani revealed that once he closed a Chinese store in the province that did not operate according to procedures, the Chinese tried to send him a large sum of money in exchange for continuing to do business in the province, but Suidani refuses to accept bribes. "I cannot allow dishonesty to happen in my province," he said.

Suidani under suppression because he refuses to support CCP
Because Suidani refused to get close to the CCP, he began to be suppressed, and three motions of no confidence were raised. Finally, in early February this year, the authorities sent military police to "maintain stability". A "vote" was held in the absence of members of parliament to remove him as premier. This act triggered public demonstrations and protests, and the police used patrol boats and fired tear gas to suppress it.
Suidani said bluntly that the CCP was behind these incidents, and he saw with his own eyes how the Solomon government changed its approach.
Earlier in April this year, the Honiara government canceled his provincial council seat on the grounds that Suidani did not support the "One China" policy and "colluded" with Taiwan.

CCP police train the Solomon police but the Honiara government has no money
Suidani said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations with CCP China, many practices of the government of the country have become opaque. He also saw that the CCP police went to train the Solomon police. They even went to the village to train the militia and brought large vehicles and equipment. He questioned: What is all this stuff for?
He also mentioned that under the influence of the CCP, the Solomon government is now delaying the parliamentary elections due to lack of funds while holding the sports games.
When asked if he had thought about fleeing his country, Suidani said that the road ahead may become more difficult, but he still chose to walk with the people and face challenges together.

Papua New Guinea (referred to as PNG) Prime Minister James Marape said on Sunday (30 April 2023) that the US President Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Papua New Guinea in May and join Pacific island leaders for a "historic" future-looking meeting.
On the other hand, the CCP invited Marape to visit China. The U.S.-China rivalry in the Pacific is once again in the spotlight.
Marape said he had invited President Biden to Papua New Guinea when they met in Washington last year. He is also honoured by Biden's upcoming visit.

Biden, Modi to attend Pacific island leaders summit in Papua New Guinea first, then Quad summit
Marape announced the visit by Biden and Modi in a statement on Sunday. "For the first time in history, it is also a meeting of global superpowers 'towards' the future in the largest nation in the Pacific," Marape said.
Reuters reported that Biden will visit the PNG capital Port Moresby on 22 May 2023, which will be the first visit by a sitting US president. Papua New Guinea is located in the northern part of Australia, with a population of 9.4 million, rich in resources but largely undeveloped.
After visiting Papua New Guinea, Biden and Modi will travel to Australia to participate in the "Quad" (Quad) on 24 May 2023. Quad member countries include the United States, Australia, India and Japan. This year, the four countries have frequently held Quad meetings to discuss the regional threat posed by the CCP.
The CCP criticized the Quad as the NATO of the Indo-Pacific region, accusing it of "promoting the Cold War mentality" and "fomenting geopolitical competition."
In the past two years, India and the Chinese Communist Party have had multiple border conflicts, which has led to the deterioration of relations between the two countries. Modi has been seeking to step up efforts to contain CCP's influence in the Indo-Pacific region.

Pacific Island Countries become battlegrounds between CCP China and the United States
The island nation straddling the South Pacific is known more for tourism than lucrative natural resources. At first glance, they may not seem like important geopolitical areas, but these island countries have become a battlefield between China and the United States in recent years.
The Chinese Communist Party has tried to exert more influence on Pacific island countries in recent years, which has aroused the vigilance of the United States. U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken visited Fiji in February 2022, the first visit to the country by a serving U.S. Secretary of State in nearly 40 years while U.S. National Security Council Indo-Pacific Coordinator Kurt Campbell visited Fiji in April 2022.
From the end of May to the beginning of June 2022, then CCP Foreign Minister Wang Yi paid a 10-day whirlwind visit to eight Pacific island countries, trying to persuade these countries to sign a regional agreement covering police, security and data communication cooperation. Although this goal failed to be realized in the end, Wang Yi's trip has increased the attention of the United States and Australia.
The United States has since pledged to step up its support for the region, which Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman has already signaled during her visit to the South Pacific in August 2022: the region is a priority for the United States. At the end of September 2022, Biden holds the first US-Pacific island countries summit in Washington, aiming to strengthen relations with these countries.
PNG is negotiating security agreements with the U.S. and Australia while Beijing has invited PNG Prime Minister Marape to visit CCP China this year.
"Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region cannot be ignored in the Indo-Pacific dialogue. Put our forest and ocean areas together and we have the largest carbon sink in the world, and the largest ocean and airspace on Earth," Marape said.
The Pacific Islands Forum is made up of 18 countries and territories covering 30 million square kilometers (10 million square miles) of ocean.
U.S. FBI Director: The number of Chinese hackers is at least 50 times that of the FBI

Christopher Wray, director of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), said that the CCP is the greatest threat to the United States, and the number of cyber hackers supported by the CCP government is quite astonishing, at least 50 times more than the FBI cyber intelligence personnel.
FBI Director Christopher Wray testifies before the House Appropriations Committee on 27 April. He said that the CCP’s hacking program is larger than all other countries combined, and the amount of data stolen from American individuals and companies is greater than the sum of all countries.
"The number of Chinese (communist) hackers is at least 50 times greater than that of the FBI's network intelligence personnel." He emphasized that the CCP's network security threat is unmatched by other countries.
The CCP poses a greater threat to U.S. technological innovation, economic security, or national security. Lei said that the number of investigations into threats from China has increased by about 1300%. related new investigations".
Ray told lawmakers that the CCP’s hackers concentrated on hospitals, schools, and communication facilities that are closely related to American life.
On 30 March 2023, a report by Insikt Group, a private U.S. cybersecurity company, said that a hacker group that may be supported by the Chinese government is "highly active" and "targets U.S. aviation, automobiles, education, government, media, information technology and religious organizations".
U.S. intelligence and national security agencies warned last year that Chinese hackers had compromised the networks of some "large telecommunications companies" in the United States.
FBI Director Ray pointed out at the Appropriations Committee hearing the seriousness of the CCP’s cyber attacks on the United States, hoping that Congress will approve more than $63 million in funding for the FBI, and the FBI will add nearly 200 cybersecurity positions.
He said the FBI would target adversaries through joint operations and rapid information sharing with the private sector.

The CCP People’s Liberation Army has been conducting military exercises
around Taiwan in recent years, and the movement of the Shandong and Liaoning
ships has attracted more attention. Foreign netizens recently announced on
Twitter that the Chinese Communist Party’s Shandong and Liaoning ships.
According to the comparison and analysis of the track map of the USS aircraft
carrier in December last year and the Facebook page of "Wang Zhenming's
Military Channel", the CCP's primary target should be the US military base
in Guam, and Taiwan should be the secondary target. It is worth noting that
when the Shandong and Liaoning ships were closest to Guam, the communist army
announced high-profile military exercises around Taiwan.
"Wang Zhenming's Military Channel" posted on Facebook on 1 May 2023 the track map of Chinese ships compiled by foreign netizens, and published an analysis pointing out that the closest time the Shandong was to Guam was 16 April, only at 400 nautical miles, Guam was completely within the strike range of the Communist Army's "J-15" fighter jets. Comparing with the track map of Liaoning, another aircraft carrier of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, in December last year, the closest time it came to Guam was on 23 December 2022, only 350 nautical miles away, and Guam was also within the strike range of carrier-based aircraft.
The article "Wang Zhenming's Military Channel" pointed out that the primary target of the CCP's activities in the Philippine Sea should be the U.S. military base in Guam, and then the military base in eastern Taiwan. In response to the two strategic deployments of the CCP’s aircraft carrier, the netizens below responded, “The U.S. military may let it (the CCP’s aircraft carrier) drive out of the Bashi Channel during wartime” and “You aim at others, and they also aim at you, and the exercise objects will be delivered to your door.” . Some netizens also said that even if the CCP's aircraft can go out, they can't go back. It is simply a "one-way attack".
It is worth noting that, compared with the CCP’s recent military activities, the CCP’s People’s Liberation Army conducted a military exercise around Taiwan from 8 to 10 April, dispatching as many as 232 sorties of military aircraft to operate around Taiwan. Aviation training in the Pacific Ocean; when the Liaoning aircraft ship was closest to Guam in December last year, the Eastern Theater Command of the Communist Party of China also conducted military exercises in the sea and airspace around Taiwan.
When the CCP conducted a military exercise on 25 December 2022, it dispatched 71 sorties of military aircraft and 7 warships to harass Taiwan within 24 hours. Among them, 47 military aircraft sorties crossed the center line of the Taiwan Strait or entered the airspace southwest of Taiwan. "Global Defense Magazine" interview director Chen Guoming analyzed at the time whether the CCP's Taiwan-disturbing military aircraft was related to the formation and integration of the Liaoning aircraft carrier, and it needed to be closely observed.

Meeting with Lai Ching-te, Bolton: Both parties in the U.S. are aware of the China threat
John Bolton, the former White House National Security Adviser of the United States, met with Vice President Lai Ching-te on 1 May 2023, saying that both parties in the United States are aware of the economic, political, and military threats China poses to the world, and they look forward to working with Lai. The vice presidents exchanged views on China's future development direction and how to concretely improve Taiwan-US relations. Vice President Lai also reiterated that Taiwan will stand firmly with democratic countries and jointly safeguard regional peace and stability.
Lai Ching-te pointed out that Bolton is a good friend who firmly supports Taiwan. He has long been committed to enhancing Taiwan-US relations, paying attention to the stability of the Taiwan Strait, promoting global democracy and unity, and further building a regional security system. Especially during his tenure as White House National Security Advisor, he fully implemented the US security commitments to Taiwan, not only selling arms to Taiwan, but also supporting Taiwan's participation in international organizations, which was of great help to Taiwan's national defense, diplomacy, and international participation.
Lai Ching-te said that the expansion of Chinese totalitarianism poses an increasingly serious threat to the Taiwan Strait and the Indo-Pacific region. Under the leadership of President Tsai Ing-wen, Taiwan will definitely stand firmly with democratic countries to jointly defend regional peace and maintain Taiwan's democracy, freedom, and economic development.
He mentioned, including regional cooperation to prevent the expansion of China's military force, as well as assisting Taiwan to join the "Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership" (CPTPP), or to further sign a "Bilateral Trade Agreement" (BTA) with the United States and other economic and security cooperation. He looks forward to the continued support of the United States, and believesthat Taiwan will have more strength to play a key role in the Indo-Pacific region to safeguard regional peace and stability.

For example, integrating Taiwan into the Indo-Pacific defense network is a big challenge. It is also an opportunity.
Bolton pointed out that the partisanship in the United States is very different but both parties are aware of the threat China poses to the world in terms of economy, politics and military; The relationship between congressmen from all parties is good, which also provides the basis for more cooperation opportunities between Taiwan and the United States.
Accompanied by Xu Sijian, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council, and Li Chun, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, the visiting guests went to the Presidential Palace to pay a visit to the Vice President.

Academia Sinica joins hands with National Defense University to investigate: U.S. troops are now in the Taiwan Strait, Chinese people will be more supportive of Taiwan independence
Reporter : Yang Yuanting / https://news.ltn.com.tw/news/politics/breakingnews/4287374 / Image : The picture shows the US Navy missile destroyer USS Milius (USS Milius) passing through the Taiwan Strait. The Seventh Fleet released relevant pictures on Twitter. (picture taken from 7th Fleet Twitter)
In recent years, China has intensified its military threat to Taiwan, and its aircraft and ships have frequently harassed Taiwan. The United States has approved a number of foreign arms sales to Taiwan. Less reaction to China's military intimidation does not affect the decision to support Taiwan independence, but when the US military is present in the Taiwan Strait, it will become more supportive of Taiwan independence. Relevant research was published in The China Quarterly of the University of Cambridge.
In the past, most studies focused on how officials or leaders viewed the United States’ attitude towards possible conflicts in the Taiwan Strait. Taiwanese citizens’ opinions were ignored in related research. The master’s team, Huang Suijian, surveyed 600 people from October to November 2020. For the first time, they obtained the idea of China’s military threat to Taiwan and how the United States’ military assistance to Taiwan affects Taiwanese citizens’ support for independence.
The survey divides the public into three groups, one is to see the icon of US military aircraft in or around Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) (US group), and the other is the icon of Chinese military aircraft in or around Taiwan’s ADIZ (China group). As well as the control group who did not see the activities of military planes in Taiwan's ADIZ, through investigation and analysis, it was found that China sent military planes to harass Taiwan, which did not affect the public's support for Taiwan independence.
The proportion of people assigned to the American group who support Taiwan independence (referring to the sum of support for "independence as soon as possible" and "maintaining the status quo and independence in the future") reached 42.19%, which was 5.07% higher than that of the Chinese group and 9.69% in the control group on average. Statistically significant; the research results show that even if Chinese people know that China may invade Taiwan, it does not affect the support for Taiwan independence. As China's military threat increases and changes, the study also shows that seeing US military aircraft operating in the Taiwan Strait will increase support for Taiwan independence.
The study further pointed out that the United States has assisted Taiwan in strengthening its self-protection capabilities in accordance with the "Taiwan Relations Act". , the United States may intervene. If Taiwan declares independence and causes China to attack, the United States may not provide military aid, so as to achieve the effect of "double deterrence". judgment and support for Taiwan independence.
