According to Thailand Headline News Agency, on 2 June 2025, the Airports Authority of Thailand issued an announcement on its official social media platform, announcing that it will officially increase the departure passenger service fee from 1 October 12025. This adjustment is based on the resolution of the 1st Civil Aviation Committee meeting held on 4 February 2025, and aims to cooperate with the upgrade of the airport service system and enhance the travel experience of passengers.

Dhanai, director of the Airports Authority of Thailand, said that according to the adjustment plan approved by the meeting, the departure passenger service fee will be implemented according to the following standards:

The passenger service fee for international routes will be adjusted from 400 Baht per person to no more than 425 Baht;

The passenger service fee for domestic routes will be adjusted from 50 Baht per person to no more than 75 Baht.

This fee adjustment only applies to airports that have fully introduced the following three advanced boarding service technology systems:

1. CUTE (Common Use Terminal Equipment): Common Check-in Counter System;

2. CUSS (Common Use Self Service): Common Self-service Check-in System;

3. CUBD (Common Use Bag Drop): Self-service baggage drop system

Currently, the above technical system has been deployed in six airports in Thailand, namely: Krabi, Surat Thani, Ubon Ratchathani, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Phitsanulok. The new standard will apply to all domestic and international passengers departing from the above airports.
