The Yu Menglong case remains unclear, and a series of rumours have followed, including the murder of mainland artist Guo Junchen, the alleged switch of actress Chen Duling, and the death of Kris Wu in prison, fueling online controversy. Some observers believe these rumors may have been deliberately released to "dilute attention from the Yu Menglong case."

Guo Junchen silenced? Fans post airport photos comparing details, sparking heated debate and suspicions of a body double.

Is there a news blackout? Rumours of Kris Wu's "death in prison" raise suspicions.

A renowned director conveys the message: "Persistence is not wrong, but catch the most powerful one."
Li Muyang, host of the news program "News Highlights," mentioned receiving a letter from a netizen. The letter contained a conversation between a well-known director in the Chinese entertainment industry and the director regarding the Yu Menglong case at a private gathering. The director implied that "the direction must be clear; we cannot be blind," and stated directly: "Persistence is definitely not wrong, but we must relentlessly pursue the most powerful person."

The sender emphasized that this director is one of the very few in the Chinese entertainment industry who "dares to clearly state the direction." He believes that although the entire case has been deliberately obscured, there is still a discernible thread. "He reminded me: the key now is to catch the real person behind the scenes, don't be misled by appearances." The sender also admitted that he chose to expose the case because "I really couldn't stand this guy," and with the director's tacit approval, he hoped to use Li Muyang's influence to "let more people know the truth."

"Yu Menglong's phone" found! Location records deleted by police?
Meanwhile, a goose-themed anchor who has been consistently posting about Yu Menglong's case on social media platforms mentioned in their latest post that on 25 October 2025, their team discovered that the phone number linked to Yu Menglong's Weibo account was located at a high-end residential property in Chaoyang District, Beijing, called "Shanglin Family Residence," owned by Zhang Yan. They further stated that Yu Menglong's phone's location data and communication records had been completely deleted from the public security database.

The goose-themed anchor stated that their sources indicated: "From August to 11 September, all of Yu Menglong's location records disappeared, leaving only a few IP records from his Beijing residence." They questioned whether, if Yu Menglong's case is a criminal case, his phone should be kept as crucial evidence in the public security system; if it is not a criminal case, the phone, as a personal belonging, should be returned to his family. "Why wasn't Yu Menglong's phone returned to his family? Why did the police delete his IP records? Even more outrageous, the IP records of several suspects were also simultaneously deleted!"
Netizens angrily denounced this as "evidence destruction": "These people are skilled; this is definitely not the first time they've done this! It's impossible for an ordinary police officer to delete records from the system!" Many netizens speculated that this crucial period of deletion (August to September 11th) coincided with the period when Yu Menglong was suspected of being detained. Some analyzed: "If these IP records can be recovered, we can reconstruct the complete route of his imprisonment, transfer, and even his eventual downfall."

Public opinion suspects "high-ranking police officials involved," with allegations pointing back to Wang Xiaohong
Li Muyang mentioned in the program that some netizens connected this "IP evidence destruction" incident with earlier allegations. According to previous revelations by Lin Beichuan, a descendant of a high-ranking official, Bi Bo, the director of the Chaoyang branch of the Beijing Public Security Bureau, had close ties with Wang Xiaohong, the Minister of Public Security, who is suspected of being the highest-level "protective umbrella" in the entire case.
The Weibo post alleging that "Director Bi Bo was just a scapegoat" in the Yu Menglong case was instantly blocked; is he the real protector?

A shocking revelation has emerged in the Yu Menglong case! A suspected insider reveals the "truth behind the body," a process described as extremely cruel!
Li Muyang points out: "These clues echo each other. Someone capable of deleting data within the public security system is not someone an ordinary grassroots official could do. If Wang Xiaohong is indeed a protector, it indicates extremely deep-rooted power behind him." Many netizens commented, "If there's really no problem, why even delete the IP address?" and "The police themselves destroyed evidence, yet they want people to believe it was an accident?"
