According to Thai media reports, Thai Prime Minister's Office Spokesperson Anucha stated at the press conference of the “Results of the Aid Policy Discussion Meeting between Prime Minister Prayut and 7 Airlines” that Prime Minister Prayut has listened to the airline's request and agreed to provide 240 100 million baht soft loans, exemption or reduction of handling fees.

On 28 August, General Prayut, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Thailand, met with senior officials of seven airlines in Thailand to hear about the assistance needed by the airlines under the influence of the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic. The seven airlines include Thai Smile Air, Lion Air, VietJet Air Thailand, Bangkok Airways, Nok Air, Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X.

Anucha, spokesman of the Prime Minister's Office of Thailand, stated at the press conference that the three demands made by the airline and accepted by Prime Minister Prayut are:

1. Provide soft loans totaling 24 billion Baht. The airlines negotiated with EXIM Bank are the main beneficiaries of this measure. Prime Minister Prayuth has also ordered the Export-Import Bank and other banks to participate. The Ministry of Finance will be responsible for this.

2. The request for an extension of the deadline for jet fuel tax cuts still needs analysis. It is reported that the airline has applied for an extension of the jet fuel tax reduction deadline for one year, which will be extended to September 1, 2021, and the fuel tax will be stabilized at 20 sadangs/liter. The original fuel tax standard was 2.762 baht. The undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance said that it is difficult to implement the matter because the fuel tax has been reduced by nearly 70%. It was reported at the press conference that in view of the current decline in world oil prices, and in the "Let’s Travel Together" stimulating tourism project, the subsidy for air tickets has been increased from the original 1,000 Baht to 2,000 Baht, which is also a support policy for airlines.

3. Exempt or reduce the operating fees imposed on airlines until March 2022, such as landing fees, downtime fees, passenger service fees, etc.

Zhi Min, Deputy Director of the Department of Gastroenterology, the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, said on 29 August 2020 that ulcerative colitis is regarded as an important precancerous lesion of colon cancer if it cannot be cured for more than 10 years. However, early detection, early treatment, regular follow-up, ulcerative enteritis is not terrible.

On 28 August, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a press conference at the Prime Minister's residence and said that for physical reasons, he decided to resign as Prime Minister. Abe said that in the regular physical examination in June this year, the doctor pointed out that the chronic disease ulcerative enteritis had recurrence symptoms, so he continued to work while taking the medicine. In July, he felt abnormal changes in his physical condition. In early August, he confirmed that the enteritis had recurred.

Zhi Min said that inflammatory bowel disease is divided into ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Ulcerative colitis is referred to as ulceration. Inflammation of the intestine involves the rectum and colon, and the lesions are mainly limited to the large intestinal mucosa and submucosa. The etiology is still unknown, and the mutual influence of genetic factors and environmental factors is considered to be the main cause of ulcerative colitis. Inflammatory bowel disease does not heal because of the protracted course.

It most often occurs in young adults, and the clinical manifestations are persistent or recurrent diarrhea, mucus pus and blood in the stool with abdominal pain, tenesmus and other gastrointestinal symptoms. The course of the disease is more than 4 to 6 weeks. Severe patients will also have extraintestinal manifestations such as repeated oral ulcers, peripheral arthritis, and systemic manifestations such as weakness, anemia, and weight loss. Among them, mucus pus and blood is the most common symptom of ulcerative colitis. Patients with mild symptoms can defecate 2-4 times a day, and severe cases can reach more than 10 times a day.

Zhi Min said that it needs to be clear that about 70% of the symptoms of ulcerative colitis are mild. Many patients, including moderate patients, can receive medication in the outpatient clinic. The type of medication is selected according to the extent of the lesion and the degree of disease activity. And dosage form, you need to insist on medication. The goal of treatment for ulcerative colitis is to control symptoms and improve quality of life.

The current treatment methods mainly include the use of aminosalicylic acid preparations, hormones, infliximab treatment and surgical treatment, etc. Among them, the treatment of aminosalicylic acid preparations is ineffective, especially those with extensive disease, can be switched to oral systemic hormones. Although moderate to severe patients are treated with corticosteroids, this is not a long-term treatment because side effects may include full moon face, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, diabetes, cataracts, acne, and weight gain.

National Health Commission implictly admits various local medical units have under-reported health statistics

There have been reports in the Chinese independent media that the number of covid deaths in Wuhan is far underestimated and the number of covid cases in Wuhan is ten times the original number reported by the Hubei Health Commission. The number of covid cases elsewhere in the People's Republic of China are also suspicious figures.

Li Keqiang has several times reiterated the importance of keeping the covid tally transparent and accurate. However, it is suspected that hospitals in Wuhan and Beijing were reporting false statistics.

It is everyone's hope that local health commissions and medical units such as hospitals and clinics will report the case statistics of diseases and illnesses correctly to the authority.

If Nobel Peace Prize is not about politics, then why were Nelson Mandela, Gandhi and famous political figures selected to win the Peace Prizes when they were alive?

Wang Yi warned the outside world not to interfere. He said that in the past, present and future, China firmly rejects anyone's attempts to use the Nobel Peace Prize to interfere in China's internal affairs. China stands firm and does not want to see anyone politicize the Nobel Peace Prize.

Wang Yi also mentioned the covid epidemic, pointing out that China was the first country to report SARS-CoV-2 to the World Health Organization and other countries, but it does not mean that the virus originated in China. He said that, in fact, reports and information in the past four months showed that covi appeared in different parts of the world, and the virus appeared earlier in many places than China.

Norway believes the CCP is not credible in international trade

When Wang Yi arrived in Norway, the relationship between the CCP and the Nordic countries was tense. Sweden closed all Confucius Institutes in the country and called for sanctions on the CCP and Hong Kong officials who introduced the Hong Kong National Security Law.

It is generally believed that the purpose of Wang Yi's trip to Norway was to lure and win European countries with interests and to divorce the transatlantic partnership between Europe and the United States.

On 27 August, the leader of the Norwegian Liberal Party, Grande, held a demonstration and rally with people from all walks of life outside the Norwegian Prime Minister’s residence to condemn the CCP’s human rights violations. Later, she said in an interview with reporters that on the Hong Kong issue, the CCP could openly violate the Sino-British Joint Declaration signed with the United Kingdom. This has already sounded the alarm for European leaders who want to do business with the CCP. When dealing with the CCP, they should consider whether the CCP is credible.

Grande said at the rally that she believes Solede, as the foreign minister of Norway, will definitely mention the CCP's human rights issues when meeting with Wang Yi. The human rights issue is regarded as a topic that Wang Yi cannot escape from this European trip. Before Solede and Wang Yi met, the issue was mentioned in the theme of the meeting of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Solede also publicly admitted at a subsequent press conference with Wang Yi that she had discussed this issue with Wang Yi.

Later, Grande said in an interview with reporters that the Hong Kong version of the National Security Law enforced by the Chinese Communist Party in Hong Kong clearly violated the agreement reached between China (the Chinese Communist Party) and a European country (the United Kingdom). She said: “This raises people’s concerns. That is whether the CCP is a reliable country with which international agreements can be reached. This has alerted Europe. We must consider whether we can conduct international trade with this country."

At the same time, organizations including the Norwegian Amnesty International, the Norwegian Uyghur Committee, the Norwegian Tibet Committee, the Hong Kong Committee, the Norwegian-Taiwan Friendship Association, and the Norwegian PEN, as well as Norwegian Falun Gong practitioners, held a protest rally outside the Norwegian Prime Minister’s residence. Norwegian Liberal Party leader Trine Skei Grande, Norwegian Conservative Party Member Amalie Gunnufsen, Norwegian Social Left Party Parliamentary Representative Petter Eide and Norwegian Green Party Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Sigrid Heiberg ) spoke at the assembly.

In his speech, Eide urged the Norwegian government to demand that the CCP pledge to ensure democracy in Hong Kong, and condemned the CCP’s detention of Uyghurs in Xinjiang. He said, “We cannot accept the CCP’s detention of 1 million Uyghurs in Xinjiang.” According to reports, more than 1 million Uyghurs are currently being held by the CCP in its “re-education camps” in Xinjiang.

Adiljan Abdurihim, secretary of the Norwegian Uyghur Committee, said that the Norwegian government should be cautious in dealings with the CCP when the CCP implements its genocide policy in Xinjiang.

Expert: Wang Yi's trip is to separate the alliance between the United States and Norway

According to a report on the Quartz website on 26 August, Norwegian experts believe that Wang Yi’s trip is to separate the transatlantic partnership on the one hand, and to spy on the Arctic region on the other, because Norway is one of the eight largest Arctic countries in the Arctic Ocean (the other seven countries are Canada, the United States, Russia, Iceland, Denmark, Finland and Sweden).

Henrik Stålhane Hiim, a China expert at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, said that since Norway is a NATO member and a close ally of the United States, Wang Yi's trip has one purpose, that is to try to divorce the relationship between the United States and Norway. He said, "Wang Yi's mission is prevent Norway from joining the anti-CCP alliance formed by the United States."

Una BÄ“rziņa-ÄŒerenkova, an expert at the Latvian Institute of International Affairs who specializes in the CCP’s “One Belt One Road”, said that the two foreign ministers’ discussion topics announced by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also included discussions on the two countries’ cooperation in the Arctic climate and development. The CCP has always promoted its own interests under the guise of scientific research or cultural protection. She said: "China (the CCP) claims that it is promoting global interests in the Arctic Ocean, but it is actually watching the Arctic region."

Wang Yi visits France, people call for attention to human rights in China

When Wang Yi arrived in France on the 28th, French President Macron will personally hold talks with Wang Yi. Fa Guang said that not only scholars questioned that Macron's personal meeting with Wang Yi was not in accordance with the principle of reciprocity, but local Uighur organizations and organizations defending Hong Kong have all appealed. Macron is concerned about human rights in China.

French Foreign Minister Le Drian said in a speech at the university on 26 August that "China (the CCP) is not only our partner, but also a competitor and an opponent in the system."

The French Foreign Minister emphasized that we should obtain reciprocal market opening from the CCP. Le Drian mentioned that the CCP (to foreign companies) has been implementing many restrictive regulations, such as "compulsory technology transfer" and "unfair competition" with Chinese companies. Wait.

As Wang Yi visits Germany, German parliamentarians want the government to be tough

Wang Yi's last stop is Berlin, Germany. Before he came, many German parliamentarians had stated that Germany could not make concessions to the CCP on the Hong Kong issue.

Gyde Jensen (MdB, FDP), a federal member of the Liberal Democratic Party and chairperson of the Human Rights Commission, tweeted that the German government must put the Hong Kong and Xinjiang issues on the table. The talks were held under the shadow of the "Hong Kong version of the National Security Law" that violated international law. During the conversation between the two parties, they should not make concessions to the CCP but should consider the consequences.

German Green Party member of Parliament, Jürgen Trittin (MdB, Grüne) also stated that when Wang Yi was traveling around Europe, Hong Kong Democratic Party members Lin Cheuk Ting and Xu Zhifeng were arrested, pointing out that "democratic elections do not work like this."

K, a Hong Kong student studying in Germany, told Radio Free Asia that the Chinese authorities had lied to cause the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic to spread globally, and subsequently forced Hong Kong’s national security law to awaken the world, including Europe, which has always been conservative and moderate to the CCP, and countered the CCP’s public opinion. In all cases, Wang Yi's coldness and protests showed the CCP's plight in world politics in the future.

K said that in 2019, there are "anti-send to China" protests. In addition to the epidemic in 2020, there is the Hong Kong's national security law. These issues have become international issues. European countries have regarded the Communist Party as a threat and finally discovered that the CCP has invaded other countries. Of course, Wang Yi is here to fight the fire. How can the fire keep them from saving it? The CCP can only be countered by other countries.

Finnish democrat and current commentator Li Fang also believes that Wang Yi's visit to Europe has the intention of uniting Europe against the United States. However, Wang Yi has been coldly treated all the way. Western countries have become completely indifferent to it. On the most critical issues of democracy and human rights in Hong Kong, Europe and the United States are on the same front. The CCP’s intentions are obviously unrealistic, and Wang Yi should be ashamed of his trips.

Concerns on SARS-CoV-2 vaccine

With the continuous progress in the research and development of SARS-CoV-2 (covi, in short) vaccines, in recent times, there have been news that "the vaccine is about to be approved for marketing" and "people have been vaccinated" but there are warnings such as covid "may overlap with flu."

The reporters interviewed authoritative organizations and professionals on the above issues, and asked them to answer questions about the covi vaccine that the public is concerned about.

CCP's clinical trials of deactivated vaccine and Adenovirus 5 vector recombinant covi vaccine

The reporter learned from the State Council’s Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism that the People's Republic of China’s four covi vaccines have started international Phase III clinical trials, and some trials will complete the first round of vaccination in early September.

Phase III clinical trials are the key research to determine whether a vaccine can be approved for marketing. It will truly verify the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine, requiring a sample size of tens of thousands to tens of thousands. It is reported that the Phase III clinical trial of a covi vaccine that has been initiated is expected to obtain preliminary data as soon as November.

Yang Xiaoming, Chairman of China National Biotechnology Co., Ltd., introduced that the two inactivated vaccines developed by the company have been approved for Phase III clinical trials in many countries in the Middle East and South America, and the total number of participants in the trials exceeds 30,000.

Yin Weidong, Chairman of Beijing Kexing Zhongwei Biotechnology Co., Ltd., introduced that a covi inactivated vaccine developed by the company is steadily advancing Phase III clinical trials in several countries in South America and Southeast Asia.

In addition, the Adenovirus 5 vector recombinant covi vaccine developed by Chen Wei's team at the Academy of Military Medicine of the Academy of Military Sciences is also in an orderly progress in international Phase III clinical trials.

As the covid epidemic is currently under effective control in PRC, the country does not have the objective conditions for large-scale clinical trials. So the above-mentioned Phase III clinical trials are all conducted overseas.

Detailed characteristics of CCP's inactivated vaccine and Adenovirus 5 vaccine

According to Xu Jinghe, Deputy Director of the National Food and Drug Administration, currently 5 technical routes and 10 covi vaccines have been approved for clinical trials.

The aforementioned four covi vaccines, which are expected to be the first to cross the "finish line" of mass vaccination, belong to the two technical routes of inactivated vaccines and Adenovirus 5 vaccines. The remaining three technical routes also include recombinant protein vaccines, attenuated influenza virus vector vaccines, and nucleic acid vaccines.

Among them, an inactivated vaccine is a vaccine that kills the virus through physical or chemical methods, but still retains the virus's ability to cause human immune responses. The vaccine of this technical route has a long-term research foundation.

Adenovirus 5 vaccines use a modified replication-deficient adeno 5 virus as a carrier, carry the S protein gene of covi, and enter the subject to make the body produce immune memory, thereby achieving the effect of "keeping the virus out".

In addition, the covi recombinant protein vaccine jointly developed by the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Anhui Zhifeilongkema Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which has entered Phase II clinical trials, is to express and purify pathogen antigen proteins in engineered cells through genetic engineering to be prepared into a vaccine.

According to reports, regardless of the technical route of the vaccine, strict safety and effectiveness monitoring and evaluation will be put in the first place. Under the premise of ensuring safety, effectiveness, and scientific compliance, relevant companies will launch large-scale vaccine production capacity.

Who is being vaccinated urgently?

The reporter learned from the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council that PRC has approved the "Novel Coronavirus Vaccine Emergency Use (Trial) Program" on 24 June, approved two vaccines for emergency use, and officially launched the covi vaccine on 22 July for emergency use.

Article 20 of the Vaccine Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China, which came into effect on 1 December 2019, stipulates that in the event of a particularly major public health emergency or other emergency that seriously threatens public health, the health department of the State Council needs to control and put forward recommendations for emergency use of vaccines, which can be used within a certain range and within a certain period after the organization of the State Council's drug regulatory authority has approved the discussion.

Who is being vaccinated urgently? According to Zheng Zhongwei, director of the Science and Technology Development Center of the National Health Commission, according to relevant regulations, emergency use (trial) is limited to specific groups of people who have a high risk of exposure and cannot use current effective protective measures to protect them. People who use vaccines urgently should not be taken lightly. Other protective measures and means are not reduced. Special groups such as medical personnel, epidemic prevention personnel, border inspection personnel, and personnel guaranteeing basic urban operations are the objects of emergency vaccination, which can establish an immune barrier and provide a stable guarantee for social operations.

In addition, it is reported that some overseas staff, as well as some medical staff and market staff, have also urgently vaccinated against the covi inactivated vaccine.

How long will the vaccines be effective?

According to the results of Phase I and Phase II clinical trials that have ended, a number of covi vaccines have demonstrated good safety and antibody effectiveness.

Yang Xiaoming introduced that the two vaccines of China Biological were successively approved in April to initiate Phase I and Phase II clinical trials. The test results showed that after the two doses of vaccines, the positive conversion rate of neutralizing antibodies reached 100%.

How long can these antibodies last? The answer is still to be verified by Phase III clinical trials.

At the same time, a group of scientific researchers are collecting data on cases of infection and recovery from SARS-CoV-2 during the domestic outbreak, analyzing the duration of antibodies in their bodies, and trying to answer the question of whether they will be infected with covi again from the mechanism.

According to the "Guiding Principles for Clinical Evaluation of Vaccines for Prevention of Novel Coronavirus (Trial)" issued by the Drug Evaluation Center of the State Drug Administration recently, the effectiveness of the covi vaccine is specifically proposed: The vaccine should provide protection for one year or more or provide protection for at least six months.

Possible overlap of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine and influenza vaccine

It is reported that the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine is expected to be "two-in-one" with the seasonal flu vaccine in the future to simplify the vaccination process.

However, before the covi vaccine has been approved for marketing, many experts have called for increased flu vaccine vaccination to avoid the formation of covi and influenza infection.

Wang Chen, Dean of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, said that the autumn and winter seasons approach, once covid merges with influenza, the differential diagnosis will be very difficult because the difficulty of isolating the population will be significantly increased, and the investment of social resources will also be significantly increased.

"The most effective way is to get the flu vaccine universally in time." Wang Chen said.

The WHO delegation did not enter Wuhan again to investigate the origin of SARS-CoV-2

The team sent by the World Health Organization to China to investigate the origin of SARS-CoV-2 recently concluded its China trip. They stayed in China for three weeks, but did not enter Wuhan, where the epidemic first broke out. The rigor and independence of the WHO once again caused concerns in Western countries.

According to a report by the Financial Times on 28 August 2020, the World Health Organization’s advance team sent to China for the SARS-CoV-2 investigation ended a three-week visit, but did not go to Wuhan, the source of the epidemic, which triggered Western countries’ transparency and credibility of the investigation. Degree of concern.

The advance team sent by the WHO consists of two experts in the field of animal health and epidemiology. WHO spokesperson Lindemeier previously stated that the advance team had discussions with Chinese experts and received new information on epidemiological research, biogenetic analysis, and animal health research. It also held discussions with virologists and scientists in Wuhan.

The Financial Times quoted a senior U.S. official as saying, “The WHO delegation stayed in Beijing for three weeks, but did not approach Wuhan at all, and any chance of finding clues is now gone.” Australian MP Dave Sharma ) Also said, “WHO’s early response to this epidemic seems to be to avoid offending China. The international community is seriously concerned about the rigor and independence of the WHO, which has now proven correct.”

Chinese scholar Xue Chi pointed out that before this advance team, the WHO had actually sent two study missions to China.

Chinese scholar Xue Chi: "The first time was from 20 to 21 January this year. The WHO also sent an investigation team to Wuhan, China to conduct an on-site inspection and finally submitted a report. Then in February, The WHO conducted the second investigation team. What's the problem? I went to Wuhan, but didn't go to the wards of those patients, and didn't get any substantive information. Now in August, the WHO's third investigation is still Repeating the same mistakes, no substantial changes have taken place. That's why the international community is very annoyed by the infiltration of the WHO by the CCP."

WHO Director-General Tedros said before that a larger international team of experts will be sent to Wuhan City, where the outbreak first broke out, to find out the source of the virus. He also mentioned that the “terms of reference” of the international team have been set by the WHO. They were drafted with the Chinese side but did not announce the specific details.

Chinese Canadian writer Sheng Xue: "This time they must go to China in a hurry before a larger real investigation team. It is probably also at the invitation and arrangement of Chinese officials. It is to do some coordination first. If it is said that once it encounters these factual evidence and clues that are unfavorable to China, I think Chinese officials may continue to pressure the WHO."

At the World Health Assembly (WHA) video conference on 19 May, the 194 member states of WHO voted to "independently investigate the covid epidemic and the source of the virus SARS-CoV-2."

The Central News Agency quoted the opinion of Huang Yanzhong, a senior researcher on global health issues of the American Association for Foreign Relations, saying that the delegation must have unrestricted access to Wuhan and other parts of China in order to obtain authoritative findings. He said that the WHO seems to be trying to please China and also wants to be neutral and scientific, so it decided to investigate only how the virus spreads from animals to humans, rather than the CCP’s public health decision-making failure.

Sheng Xue: "The most important thing for an international public interest organization like the World Health Organization is its integrity. So now WHO is criticized precisely because its integrity has a problem. Because in fact, it has to. To investigate a major tragic event that can be said to have never occurred in human history, the virus has spread so widely, it must not have any pre-set position, especially such a position that cannot be interfered by political forces."

Xue Chi: "This time the advance team of the WHO is completely a show, then the international community should completely refuse to continue performing like this kind of show. The WHO went to China to conduct an independent investigation. The main content of this investigation should be open and transparent. It can be universally recognized by the international community. Its investigative team has come to China with such a mission, so that it can complete its mission."

Xue Chi said that if the WHO really sent such an independent investigation team, the CCP would not allow them to enter the country for investigation. This also just unveiled the mask of the CCP. However, these formal investigations are only equivalent to helping the CCP cover up.
