The Yangtze River entered a dry season, and large areas of the river bottom in Wuhan Tianxingzhou section were exposed, and cars were driving on the river bottom. Water conservancy expert Wang Weiluo said that this is the disaster of the CCP’s Three Gorges Project. In the final analysis, it is the result of the CCP’s “reform nature”.
Recently, videos of the Wuhan section of the Yangtze River drying up into sand dunes have been circulating on the Internet, arousing public attention. A video recently forwarded by Free Asia shows that the Tianxingzhou Yangtze River in Wuhan has dried up to the bottom, and cars are driving on the bottom of the river as if driving on a desert.
According to a netizen in Wuhan, this dry section is the secondary channel of Tianxingzhou of the Yangtze River. The main channel has not dried up, but the river water is much less than in previous years.
In February, a mainland netizen filmed a video of Tianxingzhou exposing the bottom of the river and said that the local old man told him that there was water in the secondary channel and it was navigable, but it is now dry.
The netizen sighed: "The once rich in species and abundant aquatic Yangtze River seems to exist only in the textbooks."
Wang Weiluo, a water conservancy expert living in Germany, told The Epoch Times on March 17 that the videos and photos of the drying up of the Yangtze River posted on the Internet were true. There is a Jiangxin Island in the middle of the Wuhan section of the Yangtze River. Jiangxin Island divides the Yangtze River into two parts, one is the main channel and the other is the secondary channel. The main channel is relatively deep and the secondary channel is relatively shallow. Netizens photographed the dry scene of the secondary channel.
Wang Weiluo said that when the CCP built the Three Gorges Dam, it wanted to store the floodwater in the reservoir and release it during the dry season, but it simply cannot do it now.
He said that the actual situation is just the opposite. The Three Gorges Dam cannot prevent major floods during the flood period. When it is dry, the dam will store water for power generation, which aggravates the downstream drought and has serious consequences.
He also pointed out that the Yangtze River flooded last summer and the water level was very low in winter. There is a big gap between the two. "The sand in this channel this year may be related to the sedimentation of the sand washed down by the upper reaches of the Yangtze River last year, because its sand is more comparable. New, there are no plants or life on it, it seems to be new sand silt."
Wang Weiluo also noticed that this year the Chinese Communist Party’s official media basically did not report the problem of low water levels in Wuhan. Before the closure of Wuhan last year, the Chinese media reported on the Yangtze River revealing the bottom, and claimed that Wuhan had an extra beach where the people can play.
As we all know, the CCP used this method of funeral news to cover up disasters and fool the Chinese people.
The severe dryness of the Yangtze River has also shocked many overseas Chinese. The independent economist "Lengshan Times Review" said on 15 March that he had lived in Wuhan for a long time and had hardly seen such a situation.
The "Lengshan Times Review" believes that the "Three Gorges Project" is the cause of this situation. The Three Gorges accelerates the release of water during the flood season, which causes the downstream floods to intensify, and in the dry season, it stores water to generate electricity, turning the downstream into a desert. The river channel has lost its natural regulation and storage function.
The Twitter account "Cold Eyes of Finance" posted, "Following Tiananmen's transformation into Sahara, the river bed of the Yangtze River in Wuhan has also become a desert. Vehicles can be used at the bottom of the river to attract citizens to visit. The Three Gorges water storage and power generation are indispensable!"
A mainland netizen responded by leaving a message, "My home is on the tributary of the Yangtze River in the lower reaches of the Three Gorges. To be honest, the water flow of our rivers has really decreased in recent years! There was a drought last year, and the wells in my hometown that have been producing water for more than a decade have dried up."
