Report by : Gan Yung Chyan, KUCINTA SETIA

Following the launch of scheduled cargo flight between Chengdu and Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh has effectively become SF Airlines' cargo hub in South Asia.

The first scheduled cargo flight from Chengdu arrives in Dhaka on 14 March 2021. It is operated by SF Airlines' B757-200 freighter. The cargo load includes garments, materials for manufacturing clothes and machinery.

With the introduction of the Chengdu - Dhaka route, SF Airlines operates four routes to Dhaka, including Kunming - Dhaka, Nanning - Dhaka and Changsha - Dhaka, hence effectively cementing Dhaka as its South Asia hub. The cargo airline has 63 freighter aircraft operating scheduled flights to 77 domestic and international cities including Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong. It is the fastest-growing cargo airline of China.
