In the afternoon of 29 April 2022, the Food and Drug Administration of the Republic of China approved the first household saliva rapid screening reagent in Taiwan. The country of origin is South Korea. The positive rate of PCR positive is 95.83% after efficacy verification. Sold in Taiwan.

The domestic covid epidemic is severe, and the demand for rapid screening reagents has greatly increased. Considering that some groups such as children are not suitable for nasal examinations, some operators apply for a project to import household saliva rapid screening reagents.

Chen Shizhong, commander of the Central Epidemic Epidemic Command Centre, said at a press conference on the epidemic in the afternoon that rapid saliva screening is a new form of testing. After a recent assessment, the Food and Drug Administration should approve imports.

The Food and Drug Administration announced the latest project entry list in the evening, announcing that it will approve the project entry of the "Fujimay Household Novel Coronavirus Saliva Antigen Rapid Test Kit", which is the first household saliva rapid screening reagent in the Republic of China.

In a telephone interview with reporters in the evening, Jane Ren Jizheng of the Medical Equipment and Cosmetics Group of the Food and Drug Administration, Lin Xinhui, said that the country of origin of this household saliva quick screener is South Korea, and it is currently sold in Australia. In particular, the efficacy verification was carried out in the Republic of China, and the positive consistency rate between the test results and PCR was 95.83%, and the negative consistency rate was 99.6%.

Lin Xinhui said that the industry applied to the Food and Drug Administration about a week ago. After the efficacy verification, document review and other procedures, the project was approved for import in the afternoon. The total application for import is 30 million doses. After the product is imported in the future, it must be affixed to domestic medical material factories. Only if the Chinese label, the epidemic prevention brand name, and the Chinese manual are attached, can it be officially sold. The import schedule and future sales price will be announced by the manufacturer.

Lin Xinhui said that there are currently other application projects for household rapid saliva screening reagents, and there are also domestic rapid saliva screening reagent evaluations transformed into household rapid screening. As for whether household saliva quick screening is expected to be included in the real-name system for quick screening, Lin Xinhui pointed out that the relevant details must be evaluated and planned by the command centre.

"Qingguan No. 1" is on the road with public subsidies. Not only are the confirmed patients in need of treatment, but the infected artist Xu Nailin said that he "has prepared Qingguan No. 1 to take it." ”, causing the Qingguan No. 1 to be out of stock. In fact, it is not necessary to clear the crown. Many Chinese medicine practitioners generously share their own traditional Chinese medicine tea drinks made of "Chinese herbal medicines for food", which are used for family and children to drink for daily health care to prevent epidemics.

As the pidemic in Taiwan heats up, not only Qingguan No. 1, but also anti-epidemic tea bags developed by major hospitals, such as Tzu Chi Jingsi Bencao Drink, Chang Geng Yiqi Drink, Xinguang Zhengqi Guardian Tea, etc., have already caused crazy on various shopping platforms. Many consumers grab them. Huang Yijia, director of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the Third General Administration, said that many people mistake Qingguan as a drink to prevent COVID-19. In fact, Qingguan No. 1 has a high concentration and is a prescription drug, especially for people with bad stomach. It is not suitable for use as a drink. For daily health care, non-diagnosed patients who want to prevent the epidemic can use the "National Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Anti-epidemic Tea".

Does it matter how mild Omicron is? Research may leave a "long covid": Don't underestimate it

Editor : Ding Yanling / Responsible editor Lai Huijin reported / https://news.tvbs.com.tw/life/1778962

Omicron is more mild, and Omicron is flu-like... Since the outbreak of the Omicron, everyone has been relieved by these foreign news and research reports. However, according to foreign research, although Omicron virus infection is more mild, the sequelae may be worse than other variant viruses. Japan and South Korea have reported that 10% of young people with mild symptoms and 20% left the sequelae of forgetfulness and fatigue, and the sequelae of cardiovascular, diabetes and encephalopathy were found in the United States and the United Kingdom!

Today, more than 11,000 confirmed cases of covid have been confirmed in a single day. With the increase in the number of local confirmed cases, the number of moderate and severe cases has increased by 27. The Chinese people who originally thought that the Omicron virus was "like a small cold" are becoming more and more nervous. In fact based on statistics from Japan and South Korea, where there are more than 10 million infected people, experts have found that even if the infection with Omicron is mild, it may leave sequelae.

News (4)

20% of South Korean patients with mild symptoms suffer from fatigue, forgetfulness and other sequelae

According to the latest data released by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, 10% of patients hospitalized with covid have not disappeared one year after discharge. Although the probability of sequelae in severe cases is higher than that in mild cases, the sequelae of post-labor fatigue are the most common in patients with mild cases. Feel a strong sense of burnout.

Because they are young adults, even if they feel tired, they often force themselves to continue working, which may lead to chronic fatigue syndrome and chronic muscle neuropathy. South Korea also has the same problem, and the incidence is higher. About 20% of patients with mild symptoms have sequelae such as fatigue, dyspnea, forgetfulness, and sleep disturbance after recovery.

According to a report published in the journal Nature by Tulane University in the United States, infection with a virus similar to SARS-CoV-2 that can cause mild brain inflammation and other symptoms, even if only a slight brain hypoxia, is enough to cause local central nervous system systemic hypoxia and energy decline. Therefore, even if it is mild, be careful that it may cause an increased risk of "brain fog". If symptoms such as dizziness and headache occur during infection, it may be due to cerebral hypoxia.

News (5)

Chest pain and shortness of breath during infection, beware of easy fatigue syndrome

These long-term sequelae after infection are called "long covid". Who should be especially careful that these symptoms may occur to themselves? Wang Lukai, a family medicine physician and director of the Nursing Home of Yunlin Christian Hospital, reminded that people who will have long-term sequelae of covid, such as those who are prone to fatigue syndrome, may have already caused lung damage and even pulmonary fibrosis when they were infected.

However, unless pulmonary fibrosis has reached a very serious level, it is difficult to detect it early, so he appealed to patients with mild symptoms of chest tightness and dyspnea after infection, even if the condition is completely cured, they should continue to track lung function. It is recommended to do more lung rehabilitation exercises, such as abdominal breathing, pouting breathing, etc., which can develop other unused lung tissue, strengthen existing lung function, and increase oxygen intake.

News (6)

People with abnormal sense of smell and taste, beware of brain inflammation

People who have abnormal smell and taste, dizziness, and headache during infection should be careful that they may be prone to brain fog and other sequelae of brain hypoxia in the future, because these symptoms are all symptoms of brain affected.

News (7)

These people are prone to blood sugar problems after careful recovery

In addition, it was found in Europe that the immune response that the Omicron virus may trigger may attack pancreatic islet cells and affect blood sugar regulation. A higher rate of recovered patients develops diabetic sequelae. Wang Lukai reminded that if symptoms such as weakness, hypoglycemia, or hyperglycemia occur during the infection, it may indicate that the body's blood sugar regulation function is affected. It is also recommended to pay attention to tracking blood sugar status after recovery in the future.

Wang Lukai said that although Omicron usually causes mild symptoms, it has recently been found that patients have many sequelae after recovery. In fact, these patients who are prone to sequelae have traces of infection. With the recent increase in the number of infected people, anyone can be infected at any time by coming into contact with a confirmed person. It is recommended that patients pay attention to their symptoms, and pay attention to their health after recovery, so as to avoid the health hazards caused by long-term sequelae.

Foreign propaganda closes the door, CCP infighting continues?

Let me tell you some current news. Today (26th) at 4:00 p.m., “Multidimensional News”, which is owned by Yu Pinhai, the founder of “Hong Kong 01”, suddenly announced that it “stops operation”, including its website and app, all of which are obsolete.

According to the pro-Communist Sing Tao Daily website, Duowei News's employees are mainly in Beijing, with about 50 or 60 people. Most were dismissed, and a few were transferred to "Hong Kong 01".

This news is actually quite sudden and surprising because Duowei is the CCP’s major propaganda media. The CCP attaches great importance to its own image and attaches great importance to propaganda. In order to paint itself, it scavenges the money of ordinary people and supports official media, large and small, all over the country. Moreover, in order to create a false international image, it is also using the money from the state treasury to support a lot of Chinese-language media overseas, and even infiltrated the mainstream media in the West.

I talked about this part in 2018. Except for The Epoch Times, NTDTV, Sound of Hope and other media, the vast majority of overseas Chinese-language media have been dyed red by the CCP.

Since the CCP attaches so much importance to propaganda, it stands to reason that Duowei, headquartered in Beijing, will not be closed. Duowei has done a lot of propaganda for the CCP, and also deceived many people who do not know the truth. Douwei now suddenly announced that it will stop operating. There must be a story behind it.

According to public information, Duowei News was founded in 1999 by He Pin, a media person who was exiled overseas after the June 4th Incident, and others in New York, USA. He Pin is a "democracy activist" and now runs the "Der Spiegel" series.

In 2009, 10 years after Duowei News was founded, Hong Kong businessman Yu Pinhai bought it out and moved its headquarters to Beijing, with editorial departments in Taiwan and Hong Kong. The outside world gradually labeled Duowei News as a major propaganda of the CCP, believing that Duowei’s background was Jiang Zemin and Zeng Qinghong’s faction. He Qinglian, an economist based in the United States, once stated in her book "Red Infiltration" that Duowei, controlled by Yu Pinhai, was the voice of Jiang Zemin, the former leader of the Communist Party of China.

In fact, a year before the acquisition of Duowei, 50-year-old Yu Pinhai entered the School of Marxism at Peking University to study for Dr. Ma Zhe. "Hong Kong 01", which is still operating in Pinhai, also frequently publishes support for the CCP's policies towards Hong Kong, and often quotes "inside information" from pro-CCP figures.

On 3 August 2021, Duowei issued an article saying that a source revealed to the South China Morning Post that Xi Jinping believes that the CCP's long-term diplomatic approach is "lack of assertiveness", and that US-China relations may need to be redefined, etc. Some analysts believe that this is Jiang Zeng faction using the two major media under his command to deliberately create a conflict between Beijing and Washington and set up obstacles for Xi Jinping.

In fact, in 1993, the South China Morning Post was bought by the wealthy Malaysian businessman Robert Kuok. According to China Economic Weekly, Kuok has a good relationship with Jiang Zemin, and his family was once invited by Jiang Zemin to the Diaoyutai State Guest House for dinner.

In December 2015, Jack Ma's Alibaba acquired the South China Morning Post and other media properties owned by South China Morning Post.

Therefore, Duowei's report on the South China Morning Post is probably not an ordinary media report, but more likely a joint release of Jiang Zeng's faction.

For another example, in early December 2018, Duowei published an article that pointed directly at Xi Jinping, "The extreme left is tearing China apart, and Xi Jinping should take responsibility." It reviewed the "exit theory of the private economy" at that time, the "political review" of the college entrance examination, and Zhejiang's touted "bridge closure experience", and proposed that Xi Jinping, as the "core of the big party", "must conduct self-examination".

There are more similar multi-dimensional articles. It can be seen that the background of the multi-dimensional Jiang Zeng faction is quite distinct. Then it is not difficult to understand why Duowei, which has been in operation for 23 years, suddenly announced its shutdown. It is very likely that the infighting of the CCP has spread to Duowei.

There is another sign that may also reflect the CCP’s infighting. Earlier, the board of directors of Nanhai Holdings controlled by Yu Pinhai disclosed to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that in 2021 alone, "Nanhai Holdings" will lose 3 billion to 3.4 billion Hong Kong dollars. In terms of RMB, "Nanhai Holdings" will lose about 2.5 to 2.8 billion yuan in 2021. In 2020, it has lost 2.53 billion Hong Kong dollars, which is equivalent to about 2.1 billion yuan.

The board of directors of "Nanhai Holdings" said that the main reason for the loss was that the real estate business in the mainland was hit hard. Coupled with the repeated outbreaks in mainland China, the business of movie theaters has also been affected.

The mainland real estate industry is difficult, the epidemic affects the movie theater business, etc. These may be the actual situation but if it is indeed because of the bad economy, the film business, etc., should be closed even more. These are the industries that are unable to make money during the epidemic. Why shut down the multidimensional maintained by fifty or sixty people? Obviously there is still a political element.

See also the open letter to take Xi Jinping down, jointly signed by the representatives of the 8 provincial people's congresses

On 25 April, an open letter began to circulate on the Internet, asking Li Zhanshu, chairman of the CCP, to remove Xi Jinping. The co-sponsors of the open letter signed themselves claim to be representatives of some people's congresses in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Beijing, Jilin, Shaanxi, Jiangxi and Anhui provinces.

The open letter stated that because Xi Jinping disregarded science and insisted on implementing the "dynamic clearing" epidemic prevention policy, he forced various places to take extreme blockade measures to "control the city and close the city on a grid", resulting in "Shanghai Elegy, the Voice of April, grief everywhere, and public resentment." !"

The letter stated that the essence of the grid closure is that the "Nazi private army in white" oppresses the people, blasphemes civilization, and violates human rights. "On the one hand, he is brazen and slogans govern the country, and his mouthpieces clamor for peace; on the other hand, he controls public opinion and suppresses people's voices, defending the people's mouth more than Sichuan", creating a humanitarian disaster in Shanghai.

The open letter stated that the "arbitrary and perverse actions" of the leaders of Beijing have "turned the international city of Shanghai into an international joke of Shanghai paralysis". "The national economy has suffered serious setbacks, companies have closed down, people have lost their jobs, and the deaths of Chinese people have far exceeded the damage caused by the new crown virus. The loss of people's lives and property is immeasurable."

"Some deputies to the National People's Congress" in these provinces and cities believe that Xi Jinping "has seriously violated discipline and dereliction of duty." According to the "Public Officials Administrative Punishment Law", the National People's Congress was requested to "convene an emergency meeting" to "immediately remove" Xi Jinping from "all public positions and transfer them to judicial organs."

The circumstances of this open letter cannot be verified at present. However, there have been at least three open letters on the Internet earlier.

The first time was on 4 March  2016, when Xinjiang Wujie News, which has an official background, published an open letter titled "About Demanding Comrade Xi Jinping to Resign from Party and State Leadership", the writer of the open letter was "Loyal Communist Party" member".

The second time was during Xi Jinping’s visit to the Czech Republic in 2016. He Pin’s website, Der Spiegel, published “Immediately dismiss Comrade Xi Jinping from all positions inside and outside the party, and the whole party, the army, and the people of the whole country”, signed “171 Chinese Communist Party members” .

The third time was in March 2020. Chen Ping, the second generation of Red and the chairman of Sun TV Group, forwarded an anonymous open letter on WeChat, calling for an enlarged meeting of the Politburo to discuss the issue of Xi Jinping's stay.

Now this "reverse Xi" open letter is at least the fourth one. I still don't think this "reverse Xi" open letter will do much, and Li Zhanshu is unlikely to hold an emergency meeting to remove Xi Jinping. On the one hand, the NPC is a rubber stamp with no ability to discuss matters at all; on the other hand, Li Zhanshu belongs to Xi Jinping, especially when he is about to get off the bus at the station, he is unlikely to go through this muddy water to criticize Xi Jinping.

Observing this open letter, it is actually for the purpose of protecting the CCP system and the Communist Party. Although it mentions the tragic situation in Shanghai, I think this is only the surface reason for the letter writers and co-signers. Of course, the people of Shanghai are very miserable. We will talk about the situation in Shanghai later. In fact, it's not just in Shanghai, it's the same everywhere in the country.

The real purpose of these people, I think, is to change the leader of the CCP to try to change the CCP's lingering situation, and then continue to maintain the CCP's rule over China, these NPC deputies and CCP officials continue to enjoy their privileges.

For ordinary people, it has no practical significance. No matter who is the leader of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people cannot change the fate of leeks. As long as the CCP is still alive, the Chinese people will not be well. Think about it, the CCP has changed several party leaders. When will the Chinese people feel better? Only when the CCP disintegrates can the Chinese people usher in a better life.

But the open letter of "reverse Xi" appeared again, and what we saw was the strife and fierce fighting within the CCP. Such a situation may continue to occur before the arrival of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

Tongji University Rice Pork Duck with Bubble Sauce in Songjiang District

Next, let's talk about the situation in Shanghai. On 26 April, a Guangxi university student who was studying in Shanghai broke the news and saw news on Weibo that according to residents of Jiuting Town, Songjiang District, the sauce duck they received from the government was bad. Not only bubbles appeared, bugs were also found inside.

[Original sound video] I received the sauce duck from the government today, and the date is still correct. The date is right, you see, the date is April 19 (2022). But when I opened the package, I found that there were insects in it, so I didn't dare to eat it. And it's bubbling inside, see this bubble? There are bugs in there, you see.

Look, it's just this place in my hand, this place and this. This, this is inside the bag, not outside, you see. Anyway, I don't dare to eat it, I want you to eat it. It's so scary, oh, my heart trembles when I see it. You see, this is the bubble inside.
*********************
From the outside packaging, people can't see the problem. But when I opened the package, I saw that there were air bubbles and bugs in the sealed bag. Obviously, this "April 19" date should be fake. Otherwise, in just a few days, there will be no air bubbles in the sealed bag.

There are even scarier ones. I heard a bad joke about a man who was eating an apple and found a bug in it after biting it. The person asked the person next to him, "Is there anything worse in the world than eating an apple and getting a worm?" The person replied, "Yes, that is, half of the apple has half a worm on it."

Now, this kind of thing really happened, in Shanghai Tongji University. A student found pork tapeworms while eating a box lunch today (26th). Some pork has a lot of pig hair, insects, and even snails. This topic was quickly rushed to Weibo hot search, but the news in this regard was quickly deleted.

Yesterday (25th), at Lane 1781, Meinan Road, Meilong Town, Minhang District, someone also found that there were parasites in the lunch box distributed by the government. Watching the video, it was pretty scary.

[Original sound video] Look, at 12:15 on April 25, 2022, the lunch box issued by 1781 Meinan Road, this is a box lunch issued by the government, there are pork tapeworms. There are worms in this pork, you see, look, this worm, you see, the worms pulled out of the meat, pork tapeworms. It is the kind of "rice pork" that the old people in the family used to say. Then the government took this thing and sent it to us to eat.

The mayor of the Meilong town government in front of me got the stinky pork and gave us stinky pork after it was over. The mayor of Meilong Town has been dismissed and investigated. Now, this stinky pork, pork with bugs has returned, and he continues to harm us outsiders.
************************
Netizens said in an email that they got goosebumps when they heard the news at night. Thinking of eating pork and lion head for lunch, I can't wait to take a spoon and dig it out. Netizens said that since the school was closed, they have eaten a fixed set meal box lunch for more than a month. The price is not only more expensive than usual in the cafeteria, but also there is no choice.

Rice pork, as I said in previous shows, this kind of meat is inedible. After eating, the eggs will hatch into larvae under the action of gastric juice. Then the larvae will burrow into the intestinal wall tissue, and the blood will not be distributed to the whole body, and cysts like rice grains will grow in the muscle. This kind of thing will also be parasitic in the human heart, brain and eyes. If it grows in the eyes, it will cause blindness. If it grows in the brain, it will cause epilepsy and other diseases.

But Meilong Town gave this inedible rice and pork to outsiders and college students. I don't know if the authorities also eat this kind of meat for the people of Shanghai, so please pay attention to the people of Shanghai. Take a closer look at the food distributed by the government, whether it has been corrupted or not, whether it is rice or pork.

Everyone must remember that the CCP's harm is carried out unconsciously, and the killing is invisible. So everyone must look carefully, don't get caught up in the Dao, if you don't know it, just go in.

I believe that CCP officials will never give their family members such food. What they get must be the best, safe, and well-supplied. Even small neighborhood committees can have certain privileges.

News (11)

People in Jiangqiao "rebellion", Putuo woman burnt paper for the government

On 26 April, netizens in Shanghai broke the news that people in Jiangqiao Town, Jiading District, "rebelled". The reason for the rebellion was that the neighborhood committee had secretly stored vegetables, which were discovered by people.

[Original video] They are fighting in Xinjiang Village, Jiangqiao Town, and they are making trouble. I don't know where the materials came from, where did the materials come from? Dozens of police came to no avail.

[Original sound video] The neighborhood committee hides vegetables, they hid a few boxes of vegetables inside, and they were found out. The chicken and meat had already been shipped in the morning, and now only the vegetables were left, rotten.
*********
It is very clear here that there are several boxes of vegetables in the neighborhood committee. There are chicken, meat, and vegetables. These are likely to be supplies from other places that should be distributed to residents, but the neighborhood committee hid them.

As I said before, relying on mountains to eat mountains, and relying on water to drink water. As a neighborhood committee, you have this advantage, and you can get the moon first. Whether the common people eat or not starve to death, it does not matter. As long as you and your family are not starving, you can hide a few boxes and eat slowly for yourself. Or give some to relatives and friends, or sell it back, and you can earn some extra money.

But in another video, Dabai's shouting has changed the essence of the problem. He described the issue of the neighborhood committee's collection of vegetables as a matter of how much or how little supplies were distributed. Then his solution was to reissue the supplies. There is no treatment for the neighborhood committee of Tibetan cuisine.

[Original sound video] Now I understand the general situation, I understand. I just had a phone call with your secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of Jiangqiao Town. We talked a few words about this guarantee. So now it's like this. You distribute materials on a household basis. This is what all our districts and all streets do.

But there are certain problems here. What is the problem? That is, if there are more people in the household, then he may have relatively few points, and there are certain problems with this guarantee. This is indeed a problem. I also mentioned it to the political and legal secretary of your street just now, so now, in two or three days, Jiangqiao Town will carry out a re-issuance of materials.
*********************
Dabai's handling is the same as that of the CCP. Anything that is unfavourable to CCP officials will be reduced to small matters and trivial matters. This is not a question of guaranteeing offerings, but a question of people's hearts turning bad. They were full and had no worries, while the people were so hungry their eyes were blue. The modern version of Zhumen wine and meat stinks, and the road has frozen bones. This situation is not an isolated phenomenon in Shanghai. As I have said many times, it is very common in Shanghai. How can people not rebel?

In the morning of 26 April, a woman from Putuo District burned paper money at the gate of her community, shouting loudly while burning. Very wise, she won supplies for herself and her neighbours in the same community.

[Original sound video] I am burning a memorial for you at the Oasis Apartment, Lane 1422, Tongchuan Road, and burning money for your death anniversary. I've been locked in there for a month, and I haven't eaten anything. I called, I called 12345 and no one answered me, and the street ignored me. We have the same seal, the same nucleic acid, why do we send two different things? what! Tianping Road Sub-district in Xuhui District is very good, right, what are we really like in the sub-district! ? So far there is no grain, oil or rice.

Mum and Dad, do you know I'm suffering here? The Litchi Apartment has nothing to send. Up to now, there is no grain, oil, or rice. Why do the same seals and controls require two different things? Putuo District is as shameless as a street, what did you send us? We have nothing so far.

It is not safe for us to buy in groups, we have to wait for the government to distribute supplies. We are waiting for the government to distribute supplies. For the sick, the elderly, the sick and the disabled, and neighbors, I did not offer sacrifices on April 5. Today, I brought my parents here to offer sacrifices.
********************
According to netizens, the auntie's community is directly opposite the Putuo District Government. The Tianping Road Street in Xuhui District she mentioned is the location of the Shanghai Municipal Government's Family Home.

After burning the paper in the morning, she distributed supplies to the community in the afternoon. Does a crying child get milk? If this aunt does not burn paper money for the CCP, will the Putuo District Government take any action? It seems that the paper money really worked.

This is just the material aspect we talked about today, in fact there are many more but let's talk about the difficulty of seeing a doctor in Shanghai.

Painful old man commits suicide, leukemia girl rejected

Shanghai reported on 26 April 2022 that there were 1,661 new confirmed cases and 15,319 asymptomatic infections yesterday, and the total number of infections continued to fall.

However, one more death was reported than yesterday, with 52 deaths reported today. Shanghai still blamed the "direct cause" of the death on the "underlying disease", claiming that "the primary disease progressed rapidly, and the rescue was ineffective."

I believe that the old man who hanged himself in Jinyang Third Neighborhood in Pudong, Shanghai, must not have been included in the figures reported by the authorities. Some netizens said that at the end of March, an old man who suffered from urinary calculi had been unable to seek medical treatment. Yesterday, he finally obtained the permission of the neighbourhood committee to go out to the community for medical treatment.

The family drove the car and took the elderly to the hospital to see a doctor. However, the roads in Pudong New Area are closed, and no traffic is allowed. There is no way but to return home. The old man was still in pain. He left a suicide note and hanged himself from a tree in the community.

On 25 April, there was also news that Meng Qinggong, the deputy chief designer of the CCP's large aircraft who supported Shanghai's closure of the city, died the night before. According to mainland media reports, Meng Qinggong suffered a myocardial infarction at around 9 pm on 24 April. After his wife sent him to the hospital, the rescue efforts failed.

Meng Qinggong's death is a huge loss to the CCP. Meng Qinggong is the deputy chief designer of the domestically produced aircraft "Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China CR929".

However, there are different views on Meng Qinggong's death. According to sources, Meng Qinggong called 120 after he had a sudden illness, but was unable to get in the ambulance. No way, his wife took him to the hospital, but he died on the way.

Meng Qinggong's classmates said in the chat group, "Old Meng couldn't get into the ambulance with a heart attack, so he went downstairs and died. Nine o'clock in the evening should not be too late. If it was normal in Shanghai before, there may be many people. I haven't left the office where I worked overtime. But now it's different. Lao Meng told us by his own departure that in Shanghai at 9 o'clock in the evening, it will be called Tian Tian not working, and Di Di should not. "

Some media pointed out that Meng Qinggong supported Shanghai's closure of the city and volunteered in his community. However, he eventually died prematurely because of the closure of the city, which made it impossible to rank 120.

Even the "excellent Communist Party members" and "great heroes" of the CCP have not escaped the secondary disasters brought about by the closure of the city, so ordinary people can imagine it even more.

A girl from Ningbo, Jiangsu, who was treated for leukemia in Shanghai, contracted the virus in a rental house with her mother, and has been unable to seek medical treatment. Under the coordination of relevant parties, Shanghai Ruijin Hospital finally indicated that it could provide them with diagnosis and treatment services. But yesterday (25th) morning went to the hospital, but was rejected.

According to the Qianjiang Evening News, Ruijin Hospital, a hospital for girls who treat leukemia, is located in Huangpu District. Although the girl and her mother live in Puxi, it is only a 10-minute walk from the hospital. The ambulance arrived downstairs at 5 am yesterday morning.

The girl and her mother got into the ambulance, but when they arrived at the emergency room of Ruijin Hospital, the nurse refused to let them in and suggested them to go to the fever clinic. The nurse said that once positive patients were admitted, the entire hospital would be shut down, telling them to "don't waste time here". No way, the girl and her mother were sent home by 120 again.

Strong man dies after 25 days of isolation

In the afternoon of 25 April 2022, Xiaozhang, a resident of Room 101, No. 2, Lane 1250, Zhenjin Road, Baoshan District, Shanghai posted a long Weibo. His father passed away suddenly, and Weibo recounted some situations before and after his father's death.

Xiao Zhang's father is only 52 years old than Zhang Qiwen. He has always been in good health and has no "underlying diseases". The day before yesterday morning, I suddenly received news that my father, who had been quarantined for 25 days at the isolation point, died suddenly.

His father had a nucleic acid test on March 27 and it was negative, but the community antigen self-test showed positive on March 28 the next day. So his father started self-isolation and no longer had contact with his family. On the 29th, the disease control came to do nucleic acid testing. On the 30th, it was determined that the nucleic acid was abnormal. On the 31st, he was taken to the isolation point on Jinshao Road, Luodian Town, Baoshan District. On April 4, Xiaozhang and his mother were taken to the hotel for isolation as a close contact, and returned to the community in a healthy manner on the 7th.

Xiaozhang introduced that from March 30 to April 24, his father said that he "never had any symptoms, neither fever nor sore throat, and even cough symptoms." During the first 7 days of quarantine, "the quarantine site did not care about anything other than managing meals. Nucleic acid was not done. I sent messages to the front desk, and did not call back. After a long period of time, only a few times of nucleic acid were done, and the result was There are yin and unresolved results.”

Xiaozhang said that because he didn't know what was going on in this quarantine point, why didn't he say the result after 25 days, and he didn't let anyone back. So Xiao Zhang's father was in a hurry, so he spent 75 yuan to buy 5 antigens from the front desk, and the self-test turned negative.

Xiaozhang said, "Dad is always optimistic, saying that he has no problem, maybe he made a mistake and will come back soon." Xiaozhang said that his father makes video calls at home every day and is in very good condition. He will give it to his family in the morning Good morning. At 7:29 p.m. on the day of his death, he also had a video chat with his family.

But yesterday (25th) morning, his father didn't send a message to the family for a long time, and no one answered the phone. Anxiously, I asked the neighborhood committee for the phone number of the isolation point, but there was no result. Later, he called the police through 110 and was transferred to Luodian police station. At about 9 am, Luodian Hospital called Xiaozhang and said that his father had passed away. The reason was said to be sudden death. He and his mother collapsed to the ground.

Xiaozhang posted a photo on Weibo, which should be a hospital computer screen. The "history of present illness" shown above is as follows: "The ambulance picked up the doctor and complained that the patient was unconscious without obvious incentives more than 40 minutes ago, and his breathing stopped while waiting for the ambulance. Heart sounds cannot be heard, and after 3 electric shocks and defibrillation There is still no spontaneous heartbeat, and is now rushed to the hospital. There was no vomiting, no limb convulsions, and no fever during the course of the disease."

Xiaozhang expressed a lot of doubts on Weibo. During the 25 days of his father's isolation, he did not ask any questions about the isolated patients and rarely did nucleic acid tests. Why didn't he inform the patients in detail? He doubted the cause of his father's sudden death, and wondered when the anomaly was discovered at the isolation point? Was it discovered in time? A normal person was quarantined, and a cold corpse was returned. What happened?

Xiaozhang said that he has rarely asked the neighborhood committee for help, and is very cooperative with the various arrangements of the neighborhood committee. But the fact is that after his father was taken away and quarantined, he never received any greetings from the neighborhood committee. Because of the family disinfecting, he asked the neighborhood committee for help, and in exchange, a certain secretary shouted impatiently and fiercely. Is this the attitude that the resident committee should have?

Xiaozhang wrote that the cause of his father's death is unknown. How to investigate the cause of death? How to deal with his father's funeral at this stage?

52 years old, in terms of age, is the stage of youth and vitality. Xiaozhang's father is usually in good health and has no underlying diseases. The nucleic acid test was negative for the first time, but the antigen test was positive the next day. Does this mean that Xiaozhang's father was infected during the nucleic acid test?

Several sporadic tests after being quarantined, some came back negative, while others did not. Why are the isolation points not tested on time, and why no results are given after the test? In 25 days, the average person is infected with Omicron, and it will return to normal in a few days. Why did Xiao Zhang's father quarantine for 25 days? Isolate people, but ignore the sick. Is this an isolation point or a prison?

All in all, do the authorities have to give an explanation? If you don't give the people a story, the people will give you a story. Even if the people don't tell you what to say, God will not forgive you.

Heavy rain and hail disrupted nucleic acid testing activities in Shanghai

Yesterday (25th) afternoon, Shanghai encountered strong convective weather, and heavy rain and hail fell in some areas. But the authorities still demand that the nucleic acid be continued. However, the 7-9 strong wind overturned the tent at the nucleic acid detection point, and it kept rolling in the strong wind.

Many netizens said that this abnormal astronomical phenomenon reflects that the CCP's tossing and mutilation of the people has caused anger and resentment. If it goes on like this, the bad guys will be struck by lightning.

300 million tax dollars burned! "Suddenly canceling the real joint system" she exploded: a waste of money and a dream

The domestic epidemic situation is severe, and the number of confirmed cases is increasing day by day. The command centre announced on 27 April that the covid epidemic has entered the stage of community epidemic, and the real-time text messaging system will be cancelled from now on, causing discussions from all walks of life. Taipei City Councilor Wang Hongwei fired a shot at this. At the beginning, the DPP made a big publicity and spent 300 million yuan of taxpayers' budget, but now the real joint system says it will quit, "A dream of spending money for nothing?"

Wang Hongwei criticized on Facebook on 28 April that the government had hyped it up and spent 300 million taxpayers. Now, how much help is there for the epidemic? In fact, it is impossible to grasp the overlapping time of the footprints, and the information cannot be unified. In fact, the epidemic investigation still requires the confirmed person to inform and fill in where he has been.

Wang Hongwei said that she had criticized in September 2021, when a breakthrough infection of pilots occurred in the Republic of China, and the command centre sent more than 1 million cell text messages, which were received by people whose footprints overlapped for two weeks. What is the actual meaning of the joint system?

And there are still many people complaining on the Internet that since the implementation of the real-link system, they have received fraudulent text messages almost every day, and even the real-link system has been used as a tool for investigating cases by the police. Now the command center calls the real-link system to say quit Retire, calling on everyone to switch to the "Taiwan Social Distancing APP", which made Wang Hongwei wonder, "The joint system is over, and it is changed to Taiwan social distancing. How much will it cost taxpayers this time? What is the actual effect?"

The epidemic has crushed China's economy. Experts: Xi Jinping's bet on infrastructure is risky

CCP China's economy has declined amid the epidemic. Xi Jinping has returned to the old road of investing in infrastructure. The local government has drawn up a list of thousands of projects. China plans to invest at least 14.8 trillion RMB this year but experts say that betting on infrastructure is not the way out for China's economy. Instead, it will push up debt and exacerbate financial risks.

Xi Jinping sets the tone for infrastructure, a new round of "big water release" is imminent
The official Xinhua News Agency reported that on April 26, Xi Jinping chaired a meeting of the Central Finance and Economics Commission, making infrastructure construction the focus of this year's economic development.

The meeting said that comprehensively strengthening infrastructure construction is of great significance to safeguarding national security, promoting "domestic and international dual circulation", and expanding domestic demand.

The CCP calls itself an "infrastructure madman", and investing in infrastructure has been an important means of pulling GDP up for many years.

Bloomberg in the United States recently compiled the announcements of the local government of the Chinese Communist Party and found that at the request of the central government, the local government has drawn up a list of thousands of "major projects". China's planned investment this year will reach at least 14.8 trillion yuan.

The authorities set the tone for investment in infrastructure, which means that a new round of "big water release" is imminent. On April 25, the Central Bank of China announced its first RRR cut plan this year, reducing the deposit reserve ratio of financial institutions by 0.25 percentage points, releasing about 530 billion yuan of long-term funds.

The industry expects that the central bank will cut the reserve ratio and interest rates again to ease the impact of the epidemic on the Chinese economy. Previously, in order to resolve debt risks and financial risks, the authorities once claimed that they would not engage in "flooding."

In terms of financing, the Central Finance and Economics Committee meeting stated that it is necessary to promote the standardized development of the cooperation model between the government and social capital, and guide social capital to participate in the investment and operation of municipal facilities.

The Epoch Times commentator Wang He said that according to this year's "Report on the Work of the Chinese Government", the scale of fiscal expenditure has increased by more than 2 trillion yuan compared with last year. At the same time, it is planned to arrange 3.65 trillion yuan of local government special bonds. The authorities hope to leverage private investment by betting on infrastructure and fuel economic growth through private investment.

However, he believes that betting on infrastructure is not the way out for China's economy.

Expert: Infrastructure investment pushes up debt risk

He Jiangbing, a Chinese financial scholar, told Radio Free Asia that Beijing is obviously forced to return to the old road of investing in infrastructure. "This is because the authorities have no other options. Consumption cannot be stimulated, because ordinary people have no money, especially since China's economy has declined significantly this year, and everyone is afraid to consume. Shanghai Port, the world's largest container terminal, and Pearl River Delta There are some problems in the triangular area, and there is insufficient construction, and there are problems in the industrial chain. Therefore, exports cannot be counted on, so we can only rely on infrastructure.”

He Jiangbing believes that if the CCP starts "big infrastructure" again, financing will be very difficult. "Private enterprises may not count on it, local governments are also overwhelmed, banks are subject to capital constraints, and they also face various assessment indicators related to non-performing loans."

Economist Li Hengqing, director of the Institute of Information and Strategy, a private organization in Washington, DC, told Radio Free Asia that in recent years, the Chinese government has cracked down on technology Internet companies, education and training, online games and other industries, as well as the political scrutiny of some private entrepreneurs. The persecution has made social capital more and more afraid of public power, and has weakened the enthusiasm of Chinese private capital to participate in infrastructure projects.

Wang He said that infrastructure construction not only does not significantly leverage private investment, but also increases the risk of government debt. In 2008, the Communist Party of China started the Great Leap Forward in infrastructure construction, which has become one of the main factors behind the sharp rise in China's macro leverage ratio (the ratio of a country's total debt to GDP) and the sharp increase in government debt.

He believes that infrastructure investment mainly comes from the government's special bonds that have been accelerated from the central to local governments. At present, the potential debt of the Chinese local government is huge, and it is most likely to trigger the financial crisis in China.

Infrastructure projects create debt traps

In addition, many infrastructure projects have created numerous debt traps, large and small. Take China's high-speed rail as an example. China's high-speed rail network is not only the largest in the world, but also rapidly expanding. By the end of 2021, the high-speed railway will exceed 40,000 kilometers. However, high-speed rail generally has the problems of low transportation volume, low transportation efficiency, idle transportation capacity, and operating losses.

According to the financial report of China Railway Corporation, the predecessor of China Railway Group, the company's debt increased from 1.89 trillion yuan at the end of 2010 to 5.28 trillion yuan at the end of September 2018. As of September 30, 2021, the National Railway Group had a debt of 5.84 trillion yuan, and the debt ratio increased from 65.84% in the same period last year to 66.14%.

But it is absurd that the CCP is still planning to build high-speed rail on a large scale. On February 24, 2021, the State Council issued the "National Comprehensive Three-dimensional Transportation Network Planning Outline", stating that by 2035, high-speed railways will reach 70,000 kilometers.

In January this year, the State Council issued the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of a Modern Comprehensive Transportation System", stating that by the end of 2025, high-speed railways (including some intercity railways) will be about 50,000 kilometers, covering more than 95% of cities with a population of more than 500,000 .

Wang He: Xi Jinping is betting on infrastructure to fight for re-election at the 20th National Congress

Wang He believes that Xi Jinping's return to the old road of infrastructure construction is related to this year's 20th National Congress. 2022 is the "political year" of the CCP. Xi Jinping's third re-election requires political achievements and a certain economic growth rate. In order to stimulate economic growth and cope with the current economic recession, the authorities continue to follow the old path and bet on infrastructure but everyone who understands knows that this is "drinking poison to quench thirst".

Why does the CCP have to do this? Wang He said that an article in the Wall Street Journal gave another explanation: To demonstrate the superiority of the CCP’s one-party system, it must lead the U.S. economy.

On 26 April, the Wall Street Journal, citing multiple people familiar with the matter, disclosed that Xi Jinping recently asked officials to ensure that China's economic growth rate this year exceeds that of the United States. In the fourth quarter of last year, the U.S. economy grew by 5.5% year-on-year, surpassing the 4% growth rate of the Chinese economy in the same period.

The UN petition is useless! Singapore hangs Malaysian "mentally handicapped drug criminal"

Reporter : Li Huiping / https://news.tvbs.com.tw/focus/1778671

The death penalty controversy has recently become a hot topic on social media in Singapore because the Singaporean government ignored the opposition and hanged a drug trafficker with mild intellectual disability. He was a Malaysian who entered Singapore in 2009 with 42.7 grams of heroin. Chinese law stipulates that possession of more than 15 grams of heroin is the only death sentence. However, his lawyers and family members claimed that the IQ of a man is only 69, which is far lower than that of ordinary people. However, the Singapore court rejected it because of insufficient evidence. After the man was executed, his body will be sent back to his hometown. This incident has caused heated discussions and dissatisfaction among the people of Singapore and Malaysia.

Protesters echoed, "No more! No more blood! No more blood on our hands!"

At night of 27 April, a large number of people held signs and gathered in Hong Lim Park (Hong Lim Park) in Singapore, waving to the music. The atmosphere was calm but sentimental, because they had petitioned for an unintelligent drug trafficker for many years, but the Singaporean authorities still maintain the position that the hanging was carried out in the morning of 27 April.

Protesters echoed, "What do we want? Justice! When? Now!"

Hong Lim Park was full of slogans, and some people called on the Singapore government to stop killing people. Why did this case attract so much attention from the public? Nagaenthran K Dharmalingam, 34, of Indian descent from Malaysia, entered Singapore in 2009 and was arrested for possessing 42.7 grams of heroin. He was sentenced to death by a Singapore court the following year. But his lawyers and family members questioned that Nagadran suffers from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and has an IQ of only 69, below the normal range of 85 to 115; he was only 21 at the time of the crime because his father needed He was in a hurry to borrow RM500 from a friend for heart surgery, which was equivalent to NT$5,000 at the exchange rate at the time, but he was threatened by his friend to "bring something" to Singapore, otherwise he would hurt his girlfriend, so he had to obey.

Maya Foa, president of the abolition group Probation, said, "There are arguments that he didn't even know he was going to be executed, his last words were crying to find his mother, really, what the hell is this execution? Useful? Truly a tragedy."

Nagadran’s case has been tugging at the Singapore court for more than ten years. In 2015, he applied for a life sentence without the court’s permission. Thne it has been put on hold, and the covid epidemic has caused Singapore to suspend the execution of the death penalty for nearly two years, until October 2021. On 10 November, the court suddenly notified that Nagadran would be executed on 10 November, and the lawyer's urgent appeal was suspended. However, at a hearing in March t2022, the court still upheld the original verdict on the grounds that he failed to prove his lack of intelligence and finalized the execution on 27 April 2022.

The night before the executions, a large number of human rights groups gathered in Kuala Lumpur for a candlelight party next to the Singapore office, calling on the Singapore government to step aside and re-examine the death penalty norms. Malaysia, which still retains the death penalty, is only for serious crimes such as robbery, murder and sexual assault. Possessing a large amount of drugs will also be sentenced to death. The public believes that it is not to take drug offenders lightly, and hope that the Singapore court can reduce the punishment according to the situation.

Malaysians remarked, "The Singapore government is actually murdering the people, not maintaining the rule of law."

At night of 26 April, Nagadran's mother, who filed a legal challenge for her son at the last minute, stepped out of the gate of the Supreme Court of Singapore. She kept weeping and tears all the way because the Supreme Court still chose to reject. Nagadran must be put to death. The mother, relatives, friends and supporters hugged each other, did not speak to the media, and left the scene lonely.

Singapore supporter remarked, "I think it's heartening that more and more Singaporeans are starting to discuss the death penalty controversy, not on individual cases, but on the justice system as a whole."

Singapore is one of the few countries in the world that has the death penalty except for the United States, Japan and other countries. In particular, it imposes severe punishment on drugs. As long as drug traffickers and drug traffickers possess 15 grams of heroin, 30 grams of cocaine or 500 grams of marijuana, they will definitely be punished. Sentenced to death; also for murder, treason, kidnapping and arms trafficking. All executions will be executed at Changi Prison in Singapore, and an announcement will be issued after the execution, but this time the execution targets have mild intellectual disabilities, including the United Nations Human Rights Office, Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, and British Virgin Group founder Richard ‧Branson (Richard Branson) and others petitioned for him, but the Singapore government remained unmoved. The Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore stated in early March that 66% of the people in the country support drug trafficking as a capital offense, and as many as 80% believe that the death penalty can deter crime in Singapore.

Rachel Chhoa-Howard, researcher at Amnesty International Malaysia, commented, "There is no evidence to support the Singapore government's claim that the death penalty is the solution to the country's drug problem. We call on the Singapore government to immediately stop the death penalty."

Nagadran's death did not end the death penalty controversy in Singapore. How can the judgment be balanced between law and favor? The issue has become a point of contention.

Recently, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that more than 100 cases of acute hepatitis of unknown origin in children have been reported worldwide, and at least one death has been reported. According to online news, children in Shanghai, where the epidemic broke out, were also infected with similar hepatitis, leading to liver failure.

On 23 April 2022, local time, the World Health Organization announced that cases of acute hepatitis of unknown origin are increasing among children, and at least one child death has been reported. A total of 12 countries have reported at least 169 cases in children, 114 of them in the UK. Other countries reporting cases include the United States, Spain, Israel, Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, Italy, Norway, France, Romania and Belgium. On 26 April 2022, Japan reported that it has a possible case of child hepatitis but it is yet to be confirmed.

In early April, the UK began reporting cases of severe acute hepatitis of unknown etiology in children under 10 years of age, with symptoms including jaundice, diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal pain. All known viral hepatitis has been ruled out after laboratory testing.

The WHO has reported that as of 8 April 2022, 74 related cases have been detected in the UK, of which 6 children have received liver transplants. SARS-CoV-2 or adenovirus have been detected in some cases, and in others with both viruses.

On 26 April 2022, chat records of suspected medical staff were also reported on the Chinese Internet. It was revealed that in Shanghai, a three-year-old child was also found to be infected with unexplained hepatitis, jaundice and rapid liver failure. "It is estimated that it is not easy to treat." . The child was infected with the Omicron variant.

The related news caused heated discussions online. Some netizens said that with the covi outbreak in mainland China, if there are more children infected with unknown hepatitis, it will be worse.

A netizen even noted in 1988, there was the Shanghai hepatitis which infected 30,000 Shanghainese.

Joe Biden has unexplained income of about $5.2 million

Reporter : Josh Boswell, Daily Mail / https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10728521/Financial-records-reveal-Joe-Biden-5-2million-unexplained-income.html / Image : Web Screenshot

Joe Biden agreed to pay son Hunter's legal fees for his deal with a Chinese government-controlled company, emails reveal.

The revelation ties the president even closer to Hunter's overseas business dealings – and makes his previous claims that he never discussed them with his son, even less plausible.

Joe was able to pay the bills after earning millions of dollars through his and his wife's companies after he left office as vice president.

Some of the wave of cash came from their book deals and speaking engagements.

But the president's financial filings reveal that he declared almost $7 million more income on his tax returns than he did on his government transparency reports, an analysis by DailyMail.com of the president's financial records shows.

Some of that difference can be accounted for with salaries earned by First Lady Jill Biden and other sums not required on his reports – but still leaves $5.2 million earned by Joe's company and not listed on his transparency reports.

The "missing millions" – combined with emails on Hunter's abandoned laptop suggesting Joe would have a 10% share in Hunter's blockbuster deal with the Chinese – raise a troubling question: Did Joe Biden receive money from the foreign venture?

In January 2019, Hunter's assistant Katie Dodge wrote an email to book-keeper Linda Shapero and Biden aide Richard Ruffner, saying Joe had agreed to pay his hundreds of thousands of dollars of bills.

"I spoke with Hunter today regarding his bills. It is my understanding that Hunt's dad will cover these bills in the short-term as Hunter transitions in his career," Dodge said.

The assistant attached a spreadsheet of bills with the email, totaling $737,130.61.

One of the last items was $28,000 in legal fees for the "restructuring" of Hunter's joint venture with the government-controlled Bank of China.

The spreadsheet listed the bill as "Faegre Baker Daniels: BHR Restructuring" costing $28,382 and due 'ASAP'.

Bohai Harvest RST (BHR) is a private equity firm and one of Hunter's two major Chinese business ventures. The joint venture was co-owned by the state-controlled Bank of China.

Hunter's personal attorney, George Mesires, is a partner at Faegre Baker Daniels, now called Faegre Drinker.

A separate October 2018 invoice from the law firm shows Hunter spent a total $68,933.41 on the 'restructuring' beginning in September 2016.

The same year Joe took on these bills from Hunter, he promised that 'No one in my family will have an office in the White House, will sit in on meetings as if they are a cabinet member, will, in fact, have any business relationship with anyone that relates to a foreign corporation or a foreign country.'

Yet not only did Hunter hold on to his 10% share of BHR through 2021, confirmed by White House press secretary Jen Psaki last February, the emails also indicate Joe knew about it, and even agreed to pay Hunter's legal fees for the firm.

The bills also include $412,309.23 in unpaid taxes dating back to 2015.

The New York Times reported earlier this month that Hunter had taken out a million-dollar loan to pay his delinquent tax bill in an apparent effort to stave off an alleged tax fraud prosecution.

Wisconsin Republican Senator Ron Johnson, who along with Senator Chuck Grassley is investigating Hunter's foreign business deals, said Joe Biden's unaccounted-for millions are 'another disturbing piece of information that raises questions that deserve answers.'

'When will the corporate media start doing their job and ask President Biden these questions?' he said. 'And when will President Biden start being honest with the public? The American people deserve the truth.'

Iowa Republican Grassley told DailyMail.com, "Evidence of the president's financial and business connections to Hunter continues to grow. It's imperative for the first family to show the American people the transparency that they deserve."

The president's son is under federal investigation for tax offenses, money laundering and illegal lobbying for foreign clients.

Joe's financial transparency disclosures show that he had more than enough money to foot Hunter's burgeoning bills.

While in office Joe had a relatively modest income, but he enjoyed a flood of millions of dollars soon after he left office, much of which came from his memoir book deal and eye-watering speaking fees.

Between 2017 and 2019 he and First Lady Jill Biden reported $16.5 million in gross income on their federal tax returns, released by the Biden campaign.

The vast majority came from their two companies, CelticCapri Corp and Giacoppa Corp, which they use for speaking and writing engagements.

But in Office of Government Ethics (OGE) fillings for the same period, Joe only reported $9.6 million in income for himself and his wife.

Some of the remaining roughly $7 million came from wages earned by the First Lady from her Northern Virginia Community College teaching job and a salary she paid herself from Giacoppa, which the couple were not required to report to the OGE.

Hunter’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski claimed he met with Joe Biden to discuss a business deal with the Chinese

Hunter’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski claimed he met with Joe Biden to discuss a business deal with the Chinese

However, a comparison of the income reported by Joe from his CelticCapri company on OGE reports versus what he told the IRS, shows a difference of almost $5.2million which remains unaccounted for.

No conclusive evidence has yet emerged that Joe profited from any of Hunter’s business deals but the potential discrepancy in the president’s financial filings, and his alleged links to Hunter’s Chinese ventures, raise troubling questions over where the unexplained $5,180,071 came from.

Joe's OGE filing submitted in July 2019 shows around $8,699,787 of income for him and Jill from 2017 through May 2019. This includes $7,451,727 which he said came from CelticCapri Corp.

His OGE form submitted in May 2020 added another $907,160 that wasn't paid until after their 2019 report, bringing the total for the period to $9,606,947, and the total for CelticCapri to $8,065,464.

Joe's 2017 federal tax return shows $11 million of adjusted gross income, almost $4.6 million in 2018, and $985,233 in 2019. That's a total of about $16.5 million – some $6,990,032 more than what was listed on his OGE forms.

Joe’s tax returns detail income from CelticCapri of $9,636,690 in 2017, $3,030,667 in 2018 and $578,178 in 2019, making a total of $13,245,535.

This is $5,180,071 more than the CelticCapri earnings he reported on his OGE forms.

The OGE forms do not give precise figures for many of the couple's assets, only rough value ranges.

But according to Joe's form for 2015 while he was vice president, he and Jill reported assets worth between $317,028 and $1,080,000. By July 2019, the couple had assets worth between $2,237,033 and $7,955,000.

The figures show an increase in assets of at least $1,157,033 – and could be as much as $7,637,972.

It is clear from the president's tax returns that his income largely came through his firm, CelticCapri Corp. Some of it is itemized on his OGE forms as being earned from speaking engagements and a book deal for his memoir, Promise Me, Dad. But where the remaining $5.2 million money came from remains a mystery.

In a now-infamous email sent by Hunter's business partner James Gilliar in May 2017, it was suggested 10% of the equity in their joint venture with Chinese oil giant CEFC would be "held by H for the big guy".

Another partner in the deal, Tony Bobulinski, has claimed that the message meant Hunter would secretly hold the shares for his father, who was involved in the deal.

Several other emails on Hunter's laptop refer to Joe as "the big guy".

A report by Grassley and Johnson in September 2020 uncovered $5 million in wire transfers from Hunter's Chinese partners to a company controlled by the president's son.

One of the CEFC executives, Patrick Ho, also paid Hunter a $1 million retainer to represent him over a Department of Justice bribery prosecution.

In an audio-recorded conversation stored on Hunter's laptop, the president's son referred to Ho as the "f***ing spy chief of China'".

Ho did indeed appear to have ties to Chinese intelligence agencies, as he was the subject of a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant aimed at investigating potential foreign spies but Hunter’s claim that Ho was the ‘spy chief of China’ - or a senior Chinese intelligence officer - has not been proven.

Shanghai famine, the CCP grassroots use group buying for profiteering exposed

During the lockdown of Shanghai, donations from all over the country continued to be sent to Shanghai but the news that Shanghai citizens fell into the plight of famine continued to be exposed. According to various sources, the grassroots personnel of the CCP took advantage of the authorities’ strict epidemic prevention and control measures to make huge profits in terms of supply guarantees and group purchases. An insider disclosed that some people who belong to the government's insurance supply unit can earn 300,000 RMB a day through community group purchases.

Volunteers: The insurance supply unit is rich or poor, it needs to be related

Image : Web Screenshot

Recently, screenshots of the conversation between a volunteer named Shuaijun and netizens in Shanghai have been widely circulated in the circle of friends. This screenshot of the conversation shows that the volunteer held a certificate issued by the Volunteer Association (under the leadership of the Shanghai Municipal Civilization Commission) with a registration date of 30 March 2022, after the Shanghai authorities announced the city's "closure". He was registered shortly.

According to Shuai Jun, he is affiliated with a security supply unit and supplies scarce supplies to the community, with a daily income of 10,000 RMB.

He mentioned, "I hope the epidemic will not end."

Shuaijun also explained that he is not responsible for community group purchases. Using the official pass, he can transport 500 cigarettes into Shanghai every day, and then sell them through community group purchase channels, earning 100 RMB each.

He said, "My current guarantee unit is set by the government, and the pass is also issued by the government, all of which are issued by the government, so I compare it with that, you know, the person who asked me to go, he made 300,000 a day."

Regarding the inside story of the guarantee, a community volunteer in Shanghai told The Epoch Times, "The community and the streets have temporary passes that allow you to go out, and the guarantee list is issued by the government, at least up to the district government, city government. government."

The volunteer said, "The biggest problem now is that there are materials outside, but you can't enter the community. If you want to enter the community, you must participate in community group purchases, or participate in group purchases organized by the government, and you will be slaughtered by others. I I feel that the government just does not want everyone to buy cheap food and normal price food.”

"Group buying team leader" asked, "Which suppliers can enter the community?"

After the closure of Shanghai, the authorities implemented the CCP's strict policy of "dynamic clearing" the epidemic, which caused serious secondary disasters, and people complained.

Recently, a video released by a "group buying team leader" named Yingying has been circulating on the Internet. In the video, Yingying revealed that in this Shanghai epidemic, some people are busy fighting the epidemic, and some people are driving up prices to make the country difficult to make money.

She said that people can hardly get vegetables in regular shopping channels. She organized group purchases of milk and vegetables in her community. Because of her special status as the group leader, she saw many inside stories in group purchases, including sellers driving up prices, giving the head of the shopping commission, etc.

The "head" asks the following questions in the video:

The first question is, since the outbreak of the epidemic in Shanghai in mid-March, it has now been mid-April, and prices are basically so high. Why can't the basic price problem be solved after a month?

Second, after the outbreak of the epidemic in Shanghai, all parts of the country donated a lot of materials, including a lot of fruits and vegetables. Why are these commodities still in short supply?

Third, why can't you buy vegetables at all in conventional shopping channels? And the high-priced dishes in the group buying in the community will always be in stock?

Fourth, which suppliers can obtain the qualifications for vegetables and fruits to enter the community? Are there open and transparent standards? Is there a problem of power rent seeking?

On 23 April, a video of "a regiment leader in Shanghai living in isolation" circulated on the Internet. In the video, a man in Shanghai shared his life in isolation at home. At that time, the man was eating hot pot, but when he turned the camera, not only were there a pile of beef and mutton rolls on the floor of his house, but the room was also full of various kinds of materials.

In the video, the man said that 20 days ago, he was also very poor, and even ate soy sauce bibimbap at one point. Since becoming the head of (community group buying), life has ushered in earth-shaking changes. For this reason, the man joked that he was embarrassed to tell his friends that he was quarantined in Shanghai.

In addition to the above-mentioned inside stories from the supply guarantee units and group purchasers, many citizens filmed videos to disclose the corrupt behaviour of the CCP’s grassroots party organizations—neighborhood committees and other officials who participated in selling donated materials to community residents at high prices.

In a video, a citizen opened a donated vegetable box and said, "Let's take a look. This is the vegetable that the neighborhood committee sent us a notice saying that it was too rotten and could not be sent to us." There was also a red paper in the box. The picture shows that it is the materials donated by Wuxi.

In the video, while checking the vegetables inside, the citizen said, "The radish is good, and the green vegetables are also good. We don't know where it is rotten?"

On 25 April, in another video called "New Century Fugitive Style", the neighborhood committee of Hongqiao Street, Changning District, Shanghai distributed 20 kg of rice to each building, and each family was given more than one kg of rice. Some citizens sarcastically said, " I really treat people as begging. If the rice is cooked and then sent, it will be more like it."

(Shanghai War Epidemic Record) Traditional Chinese medicine fights the epidemic: Shanghai distributes traditional Chinese medicine decoction to more than 4 million people

Reporter : Chen Jing / Editor : Huang Yuhan / https://www.chinanews.com.cn/sh/2022/04-26/9740169.shtml / Image : Shanghai has optimized the intervention plan and organized experts to formulate new prescriptions such as "Fuzheng Anti-epidemic Recipe", which further improved the effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine intervention. Photo courtesy of Shanghai Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine

In this round of epidemic prevention and control, traditional Chinese medicine has always played an important role, not only in the treatment of patients with covi infection but traditional Chinese medicine has never been absent. It has also become a "standard" among high-risk groups.

Since March, Shanghai has continued to promote the full coverage of the whole population with traditional Chinese medicine preventive prescriptions, in order to give full play to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of covid, and strive to establish a solid traditional Chinese medicine immune barrier. Recently, Shanghai has launched nine major actions to tackle tough problems, and the traditional Chinese medicine intervention action is one of them. So far, Shanghai has distributed traditional Chinese medicine decoction to more than 4 million people.

The Shanghai Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine introduced on 26 April 2022 that this traditional Chinese medicine intervention will focus on the distribution of traditional Chinese medicine intervention prescriptions to high-risk groups such as positive infections in the same building and unit, people in old communities, community workers, and volunteers; Distribute traditional Chinese medicine intervention prescriptions to groups such as colleges and universities and construction sites. It is understood that Shanghai has optimized the intervention plan and organized experts to formulate new prescriptions such as "Fuzheng Anti-epidemic Prescription", which further improved the effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine intervention.

In the traditional Chinese medicine intervention action, the staff extended the distribution of traditional Chinese medicine interventions from "static" residential quarters and enterprise units to "dynamic" groups such as personnel in logistics guarantee sites and emergency transportation and distribution personnel. It is reported that the Shanghai Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine has distributed nearly 30,000 copies of preventive traditional Chinese medicine to a number of e-commerce companies. It is reported that in this operation, the personnel of the logistics distribution site and the takeaway delivery brother were also included in the key objects of traditional Chinese medicine intervention.

"One old and one young" are people who need careful care in epidemic prevention and control. The elderly often suffer from lack of righteousness, depletion of viscera, poor qi and blood, stagnation of phlegm and blood stasis and other basic diseases. At present, the Shanghai Municipal and District Health Commissions and the Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in coordination with the civil affairs department, have distributed 80,000 copies of traditional Chinese medicine preventive decoction to elderly care institutions. During the interview, the reporter learned that, guided by the Shanghai Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and led by the Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, a team of experts from Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Pediatrics has developed a traditional Chinese medicine anti-epidemic formula suitable for children after repeated research and discussion, and has provided services for the welfare of children in Shanghai. Nearly 1,000 children in the hospital and other hospitals were given the intervention decoction.

Guaranteeing the supply of decoction and medicine is the biggest "confidence" for completing the intervention of traditional Chinese medicine. The Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Association has played the role of "router", and many companies in Shanghai are working overtime to tap potential production capacity. It is reported that Shanghai Pharma Huayu Company has implemented closed-loop production management, and 47 production personnel have adhered to the closed-loop line, maintaining an average daily output of over 30,000 prescriptions. Under the condition that the original manufacturers were operating at full capacity, Lei Yun Shangxi District quickly organized and coordinated production capacity and transportation capacity after receiving the task, contacted the production enterprises, coordinated product distribution, and worked hard overnight to deliver more than 1.2 million packages at the fastest speed. The "Fuzheng Anti-epidemic Recipe" Chinese medicine decoction was delivered to 14 towns in the district smoothly and safely. Shanghai Zhenrentang has overcome many difficulties, organized some employees to resume work and production, and operated 280 decoction machines 24 hours a day, supplying traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions to the front line of Shanghai's epidemic prevention through the night.

"Several large leading Chinese medicine companies have recently faced the unfavorable factors of personnel closure and control. Everyone works together, communicates with each other, and starts work day and night. Now we can provide 2 million packets of intervention Chinese medicine every day, and we will do our best to ensure the supply." Association of Chinese Medicine Industry Chairman Yang Hong told reporters.

Chinanews.com Review: Epidemic prevention and control cannot be increased layer by layer, but "encircled help"

Reporter : Li Jinlei / Editor : Cheng Chunyu / Source: China News Network / https://www.chinanews.com.cn/gn/2022/04-26/9740167.shtml

Video: Xiaoxin Talkshow: Epidemic prevention and control cannot be increased layer by layer, but must be "encircled help" Source: China News Network

A few days ago, "It is strictly forbidden to prevent farmers from going to the fields on the grounds of epidemic prevention" has been on the hot search.

It turned out that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the National Health  Commission jointly issued the "Guidelines for Coordinating the Prevention and Control of the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic and Agricultural Production in Spring", which requires that in areas where there is no epidemic situation, it is strictly prohibited to set up cards to intercept and arbitrarily block roads and villages on the grounds of epidemic prevention and not let farmers go to the ground.

Images : Video Screenshots

The time to plant new crops every year lies in the spring. Spring ploughing production cannot be delayed for a moment. In areas without epidemics, farmers are not allowed to go to the fields for epidemic prevention reasons. This is a typical layer-by-layer coding.
Images : Video Screenshots

It should be noted that in the prevention and control of the epidemic, some areas have exposed layers of overweight problems. Simple and rude "one size fits all", extreme and mechanized implementation of the central epidemic prevention policies and requirements have caused "secondary disasters" and caused mass casualties and dissatisfaction.

Images : Video Screenshots

In the case of layer-by-layer coding, there were some helpless pictures. The door of the truck was densely covered with various seals, which made people laugh bitterly.

In some areas, trucks from the city where the medium and high-risk areas are located are persuaded to return by “one size fits all”; some areas have illegally set up epidemic prevention checkpoints on the main lines or service areas of expressways, resulting in long queues of vehicles; some places have also closed expressways. Toll stations and service areas have blocked the logistics "arteries", causing problems such as vehicle detention and poor logistics.

Images : Video Screenshots

In this regard, the Ministry of Transport emphasized that it is strictly forbidden to set up epidemic prevention testing points on the main lines and service areas of expressways, and it is strictly forbidden to shut down expressway service areas without authorization, so as to ensure the smooth flow of national transportation trunk lines. It is necessary to formulate traffic control measures in accordance with laws and regulations, and must not increase the number of layers, and ensure that the traffic control policies are unified.

Images : Video Screenshots

In addition, some areas with oversimplified yet excessive epidemic prevention and control measures have resulted in some critically ill non-covid patients not being able to receive timely treatment, that is distressing.

Image : Video Screenshot

Epidemic prevention and control that is carried out layer by layer and simple "one size fits all" violates the spirit of the central government's "scientific prevention and precise policy implementation". Such behaviour is the incompetence of lack of scientific and precise prevention and control skills, and it is also a typical formalism.

The increase in epidemic prevention and control will not only increase the cost of epidemic prevention but also cause damage to economic and social development and the normal production and life of the people, and even affect food security and other "big countries".

Therefore, for any adverse consequences caused by layer-by-layer coding, the responsibilities of the relevant localities, units and personnel should be seriously investigated according to laws and regulations. At the same time, CCP members and cadres must continuously improve their knowledge and skills in scientific and precise prevention and control, show their responsibilities in coordinating epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, and do their best to resolutely correct formalism and bureaucracy. In this way, it can minimize the impact of the epidemic on economic and social development and help stabilize the economy and society.

Zhongnanhai re-releases infighting signal, official media criticizes epidemic prevention as "one size fits all"
Editor : Wen Hui / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/04/26/a103410359.html /Image : Chinese President Xi Jinping (left) and Premier Li Keqiang (right) attend the opening ceremony of the National People's Congress (NPC) at the Great Hall in Beijing on March 5, 2022. (Leo Ramirez/AFP via Getty Images)
Epidemic outbreaks continue to spread across China, and Beijing's high-level mandatory "clearing" policy has not only sparked public grievances, but even the CCP's official media has criticized the "one-size-fits-all" epidemic prevention, suspecting the release of CCP leaders infighting signal.
On 25 April 2022, the Economic Information Daily, a subsidiary of the CCP’s official Xinhua News Agency, published an article on the front page, titled “Epidemic prevention and development must prevent one from ignoring the other”. The article said that epidemic prevention is about life, and development is about livelihood, and those control measures that are overcorrected should be effectively corrected.
The article criticized some places due to "lazy and slack government, formalism", layered coding and "one-size-fits-all" phenomena in epidemic prevention, hindering normal agricultural production at the critical moment of spring ploughing.
The day before (24th), the new media "Xia Ke Dao" under the CCP's official media "People's Daily" also published an article criticizing the "one size fits all" and layer-by-layer problems of epidemic prevention in various places.
The article criticized that, in reality, there are indeed cases of random circuit breakers, closures, and unauthorized card interception. Farmers are not allowed to go to the fields, workers are not allowed to return to work, and hospitals are not allowed to receive medical treatment... In some places, especially where no clustered epidemics have occurred locally. In this way, using the name of the epidemic to increase the number of "one size fits all", it is obviously a simplification of epidemic prevention and control.
For farmers, it is a critical moment for spring ploughing and planting, but some local governments do not allow farmers to go to the fields due to epidemic prevention.
In this regard, the article "Xia Ke Dao" questioned: The agricultural time waits for no one, and when and what work can be done, how can it be broken at will? If you can't catch up with one step, you can't catch up with each step. Did some cadres forget this book? The common people miss the farming time and confiscate the harvest, who will make up for the loss, and who will bear the responsibility?
Since the outbreak of the CCP virus in China, the authorities have been adopting the policy of "dynamic clearing" proposed by Xi Jinping, but there have always been two voices in the official media. In addition to the above-mentioned article in the official media criticizing the "one-size-fits-all" epidemic prevention policy, high-level infighting has also been released before. Signal.
On 13 April 2022, Caixin.com reported that the State Council of the Communist Party of China recently released a new set of pilot standards for epidemic prevention and control, and decided to relax epidemic prevention and control in eight first-tier cities in China, including Shanghai and Guangzhou.
The above-mentioned epidemic prevention standards issued by the State Council of the Communist Party of China are considered to represent the voice of Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council of the Communist Party of China. However, not long after the above-mentioned report was published, it was blocked by the entire CCP network within a day.
At the same time, the CCP's Xinhua News Agency, "People's Daily" and other party media have published several articles in a row to defend Xi Jinping's "dynamic clearing" policy, and Xi Jinping once again emphasized during his recent inspection in Hainan that he insists on "dynamic clearing" and requires overcoming paralyzing thoughts, war weariness, fluke mentality, and relaxed mentality.
According to expert analysis, the above-mentioned signs indicate that infighting at the top of the CCP has become public in terms of epidemic prevention and control. Yokogawa, an American current affairs commentator, told Radio Free Asia a few days ago that internal disputes within the CCP are becoming more and more superficial, and there is strong opposition within the party.
In addition, there is another phenomenon in the CCP's officialdom. There are not a few officials who have been sacked due to ineffective epidemic prevention but so far, no official has been investigated for excessive epidemic prevention. It is widely expected that now is a critical period for the personnel of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In order to keep their positions, officials from all over the country did not dare not to respond to Xi Jinping's zero-covid policy.

(Fighting against Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia/Covid) Zhang Boli: China has the ability to achieve "dynamic clearing"
Reporter : Li Chun / https://www.chinanews.com.cn/sh/2022/04-25/9738976.shtml / Image of Zhang Boli : Video Screenshot

"Looking back, if China does not implement the "dynamic clearing"' policy, what will happen?" Zhang Boli, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and honorary president of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine asked on 24 April 2022 in Shanghai. He pointed out that according to China's population density and population structure, once the epidemic control measures are relaxed, the Chinese will face the consequences of widespread virus spread, severe illness and a huge number of deaths.
On the same day, Zhang Boli was interviewed by the media in Shanghai. He said that "dynamic clearing" and "absolute clearing" (zero-covid) are two completely different concepts. "Dynamic clearing" is to take active measures to find and eliminate the epidemic. "It does not mean that the epidemic will never happen, but the core connotation is to quickly detect the epidemic and take measures quickly to stop the continuous community transmission of the epidemic."
Zhang Boli pointed out that the real realization of "dynamic clearing" requires conditions and foundations, unified leadership, unified will and the active cooperation of the general public, and a strong grassroots team to implement various prevention and control measures. There must be sufficient living and anti-epidemic material protection.
At present, in Shanghai, tens of thousands of medical personnel and experts from various fields across the country have come to support, and more than 100 square cabin hospitals have been established. Zhang Boli also said that it was precisely because so many teams came to support the epidemic in Shanghai that the run on medical resources was avoided.
He asked back,"If it is completely released and a large number of critically ill patients appear, how many medical resources will be needed to deal with it? If that time comes, it is hard to imagine how economic development and social exchanges will proceed. Everyone is worried about whether they will be infected, and how can life be at ease? So, we must firmly follow our own path and take the road of 'dynamic clearing'."
Zhang Boli said that the practice of handling dozens of local clustered epidemics in China after Wuhan has proved that China has the ability to achieve "dynamic clearing". A series of experiences have been formed and good results have been achieved, and good results have been achieved at a small cost, ensuring the health of the people and the steady growth of the social economy.

The protests in Kunshan, Suzhou highlight the neglected plight of small and medium-sized cities
Reporter : Jin Shi / Special correspondent : Li Xinan / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/04/26/a103410919.html
[NTDTV, Beijing time, April 27, 2022] The "one-size-fits-all" lockdown policy is spreading across the country. Many medium and small cities in China have been blocked for a long time.
Suzhou Kunshan, which is close to Shanghai, has been under closed management since the beginning of this month. Because the people could not bear the pressure of survival, large-scale protests broke out many times, but they were violently suppressed by the authorities.
The protesters angrily tore down the awning of the epidemic prevention station and tried to knock down the sign. The epidemic prevention personnel in protective clothing could not control the scene and could only flee in embarrassment. However, it didn't take long for the police cars to be dispatched to suppress, and many protesters were directly dragged away by the police.
Some citizens said that Kunshan's long-term closure and control made them about to collapse.
Kunshan citizen: "We have been trapped in Kunshan for more than a month. The lockdown was lifted immediately, and then the epidemic broke out. Now there is no food or place to live here, and now everyone is collapsed."
Mr. Feng from Kunshan told this station that mass incidents have been breaking out in the local Zhonghua community recently. Most of the people living in the community are non-locals, and they are also migrant workers at the bottom of the society. They work in the factory and work every day as a day's wages. The government ordered the community to be closed, and these people could not go out to work, and eating became a problem.
Mr. Feng from Kunshan said, "Outsiders are in the closed community, with no jobs and no income. They demand the government to solve the problem. The government did not negotiate a solution, and sent special police to suppress it. This was the same situation yesterday."
The video provided by Mr. Feng showed people climbing over the iron fence set up at the gate of the community, and some people trying to remove the iron fence.
An official was communicating with the public, but that did not seem to ease the conflict.
Official said, "Don't quarrel with me, if you quarrel with me, I have the right to take it away from you."
People took a selfie video, "The conflict continues to escalate, more and more people are starting to make trouble, and the police are here."
Kunshan is an important "Shanghai sector" in Suzhou, and it is also a gathering place for a large number of Taiwanese businessmen, including semiconductor and electronic component manufacturers. The closure of the city has caused a large number of shutdowns of these enterprises.
The situation in Suzhou and Kunshan is just a microcosm of countless small and medium-sized cities in mainland China.
Guangxi Dongxing resident: "We have been detained for more than 50 days. Yes, you heard that right. Except for going downstairs to do nucleic acid, everyone has been staying at home for almost two months."
There is less news from these places. Tang Jingyuan, a current affairs commentator on this station, believes that there may be two reasons for this.
Tang Jingyuan, a current affairs commentator: "First, these small and medium-sized cities have received less attention in public opinion, and it may be that the local area has relatively strong control over related public opinion."
Tang Jingyuan believes that the CCP's official blockade and control of many small and medium-sized cities have become normalized.

Foreigner in Shanghai rushed out of the community and was arrested, shouting "I'm going to die" (video)
Editor : Jing Zhongming / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/04/26/a103410832.html
Shanghai's long-term brutal lockdown has also affected many foreigners. The video posted on the Internet showed that a foreigner was caught repeatedly after rushing through the fence of the community, shouting "I'm going to die", and it was suspected that he was close to a mental breakdown.
On 26 April, two videos (link 1 and link 2) were uploaded online. The video shows a white man tearing down the fence in the dark and forcibly rushing out of the blocked community. He was then captured by a number of anti-epidemic personnel in white and violently suppressed. An epidemic prevention officer threatened the man, saying that when people come to China, they must abide by the so-called "Chinese laws" and so on.
Netizens who broke the news said that the incident happened in Shanghai, and the white man may be of French nationality.
In the video, after the foreigner was captured, he looked at his mobile phone many times, broke down and cried for a while, and then tried to force his way out of the community again, but was captured again. He kept repeating "I'm going to die" in less-fluent Chinese. The epidemic prevention staff replied, "You are going to die, you can't die here."
Netizens speculated that the person was close to a mental breakdown and might have tried to leave by threatening him with death.
There are many foreigners in Shanghai. According to local netizens, during the brutal lockdown, many communities where foreigners live together have been treated like "concessions", with sufficient supplies and many foreigners going out. However, in some low-end communities where there are very few foreigners, there are also foreigners who are in a difficult situation, especially foreigners who are not good in Chinese.

The boundaries of the closure of cities across China are blurred, and the situation of small and medium-sized cities is worrying

Under the spread of the epidemic, Shanghai  continued to be closed for a month, causing public grievances to boil and attracting attention from the world's public opinion. However, while the news focus continues to focus on first-tier cities, the outside world seldom notices that many small and medium-sized cities have experienced different degrees and rounds of long bans. What is the reason behind this?
Since Shanghai was strictly controlled due to the epidemic in late March this year, the eyes of the whole of China and the world have focused on this largest city and financial center in China. On 24 April, the capital Beijing also saw a surge in confirmed cases, and the news that Chaoyang District had entered a state of blockade jumped to the front pages of many media.
When the news of the closure and control of these first-tier cities spreads across the Internet, there are still some cities that seem to be forgotten but there, people have experienced long-term lockdowns, in some cases for more than five months. The reporter found that the long blockade has made the economy there wither, and people have left their hometowns to make a living.
On 25 April, Yiyi, a website well-known for creating short videos, published an article titled "The longest blockade is 160 days, and these cities are almost forgotten." Through interviews with residents of three border cities, Ruili in Yunnan, Dongxing in Guangxi, and Suifenhe in Heilongjiang, the article attempts to arouse people's attention to the local people's livelihood.

Forgotten border ports under long-term closure
Beginning in 2020, Chinese officials have emphasized the so-called "foreign prevention of importation and domestic prevention of rebound" in response to the epidemic, and strengthened normalized epidemic control. Some border towns that are at the forefront of preventing "overseas import" have also begun to experience rounds of long blockades.

Everyone who can leave has left Ruili
Ruili has the largest trade port on the China-Myanmar border, and its economy benefits from the advantages of border trade. However, since the outbreak of the epidemic three years ago, the citizens of Ruili have experienced 9 lockdowns for a total of more than 160 days, with at least 130 nucleic acid tests before and after.
According to official data released by Ruili, about 190,000 people were tested for nucleic acid tests on April 18, while nearly 380,000 were tested on April 13 last year. The article analyzes that, in the past year, at least 200,000 people have left Ruili.
A reporter from Radio Free Asia interviewed Mr. Yang, who works in a hotel in Ruili, and confirmed this: "The economy here is indeed not very good. Because of the epidemic, the city is often closed. Most of the traders go to other cities, usually to the nearest cities like Longchuan, Pingjiang, and Tengchong.”
Mr. Yang said that if he wants to leave Ruili, he still needs to be quarantined at home for 7 days and do an accounting test before going out. Another Ruili netizen told our reporter that the border in Ruili is still closed, and few people stay in the hotel. As for the locals, "everyone who can leave has left".

Suifenhe reopens after 90 days
Suifenhe City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. It is the terminus of the Binsui Railway and is adjacent to Russia. There is a Sino-Russian Mutual Market Trade Zone in Suifenhe. In April 2020, the city was once closed due to a large number of imported cases from abroad.
According to the article statistics, since 25 January 2022, Suifenhe has been closed off and on for nearly 90 days, and express delivery, pharmacies, and hospital outpatient clinics have all stopped. Most of the Russian goods on the street have closed down.
A local restaurant staff told this reporter, "It's not open, it's not open, it's been about three or four months." He said that the closure control has now been lifted, and the restaurant is finally about to open.

Dongxing man nearly broke down after more than 50 rounds of nucleic acid tests
After 50 days of Dongxing's closure, a video circulated locally: a middle-aged man hugged his head and cried, because more than 50 consecutive rounds of nucleic acid tests made him on the verge of collapse. This is also the longest blockade in Dongxing since the outbreak of the epidemic in early 2020.

22 cities across the country are "closed", involving nearly 30 million people
It is not only the above border cities that are affected by the lockdown. In the past few days, more cities have been completely or partially closed due to the heating up of the epidemic. Among them, Baotou issued a notice on 25 April that two confirmed cases of covid were identified, and strict social control measures were implemented in Baotouy. The district will conduct nucleic acid testing for all staff from the evening of the 25th.
In addition, since 23 April, Hangzhou has implemented three-day control measures in some areas, restricted residents' travel, and conducted mandatory nucleic acid testing. Hangzhou is the technology centre of China and the headquarters of Alibaba Group.
Tangshan, Hebei has implemented temporary closure and control measures for the whole city from 19 April. The closure and control period is three days, but some areas have not yet lifted the closure and control.
Since 17 April, Wuhu has temporarily implemented static management of the main urban area, and immediately carried out nucleic acid testing for all employees.
According to previous reports from Caixin.com, from mid to late March to the present, Shanghai, Changchun, Handan, Quanzhou and many other places have "closed cities", affecting more than 60 million people whose communities are sealed”, covering Jilin, Shanxi, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Shaanxi and other provinces, involving nearly 30 million people.
Tang Jingyuan, a current affairs commentator in the United States, believes that this is an important phenomenon in China's current closure of cities. "The boundaries between the CCP's closed cities and semi-closed cities, or between hard and soft city closures, are becoming more and more blurred."
Under the so-called "global static management" measures, residents in these areas will stay at home except for nucleic acid and medical treatment, public transportation is suspended, schools are suspended, social vehicles are not allowed to go on the road, and all business places are closed, which is like a "closed city".

Small and medium-sized cities are "silenced" and Shanghai's closure is "politicized"
The closure of Shanghai's city has attracted widespread attention on the Internet and other media, especially with the frequent occurrence of secondary disasters and public grievances. The authorities had to continue to strengthen the network blockade and public opinion control, and some netizens even found that people in many other cities could no longer see the speeches of Shanghai people in Weibo Moments.
However, in many other small and medium-sized cities, although they have been facing actual closure or semi-closure for a long time, there is very little relevant news. Tang Jingyuan believes that there may be two reasons for this: "One is that these small and medium-sized cities have received relatively little attention in public opinion, and it is also possible that the local area has relatively strong control over relevant public opinion. It is difficult to cause fermentation.”
Tang Jingyuan believes that China's official blockade and control of many small and medium-sized cities have become normal, and the public may become numb to this kind of information and become accustomed to it. In contrast, the closure and control of Shanghai has attracted widespread attention because firstly, Shanghai has a great impact on China and the world economy, and secondly, there are strong political factors behind the closure of Shanghai.
"Behind the closure of the city (Shanghai) is the so-called two lines of the CCP, a kind of open and secret struggle between the two models. After it is mixed with very strong political factors, it has led to a (very high) degree of non-cooperation in the whole of Shanghai. It is relatively rare, even public." Tang Jingyuan said.
The current round of city closures across China coincides with the early stages of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Tang Jingyuan said that Xi Jinping's political authority and whether he can be re-elected are closely related to the current social situation. This is the most important reason why the closure and control of Shanghai has been highly concerned at home and abroad. In those small and medium-sized cities, due to their small economic size and small population, it is difficult for the outside world to understand the extent and scale of damage to the local economy and people's livelihood caused by the blockade.

Gas supplies from Russia to Poland and Hungary halted

Russian energy giant Gazprom today halted gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland for failing to pay for its gas in roubles, as Vladimir Putin ordered.

The decision is the Kremlin's toughest response yet to crippling Western sanctions imposed over Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.

In response, the UK warned President Putin that Russia's move will only add to its status as an economic and political pariah, while Poland and Bulgaria both said they are close to ending their dependence of Russian gas.

Moscow's move caused European gas prices to spike by as much as 24 percent.

The EU countries are the first to have their gas cut off by Europe's main supplier since the Kremlin launched what it calls a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, and after it threatened to turn off the taps to Europe.

The war has killed thousands of people, displaced millions more and raised fears of a broader conflict with NATO - of which Poland and Bulgaria are members.

Last month, Putin ordered European countries to pay state-owned Gazprom, the world's biggest natural gas company, in roubles after the West froze Russian assets and largely cut Moscow out of the West's economic system.

Other EU countries have refused Putin's order, but so far Poland and Bulgaria are the only two nations to see their Russian gas supplies halted.

'Gazprom has completely suspended gas supplies to Bulgargaz (Bulgaria) and PGNiG (Poland) due to absence of payments in roubles,' Gazprom said in a statement.

Gazprom also warned that transit via Poland and Bulgaria - which host pipelines supplying Germany, Hungary and Serbia - would be cut if gas was taken illegally.

Polish state-controlled gas utility company PGNiG later confirmed that Gazprom had 'completely suspended' the supply of gas to Poland via the Yamal pipeline.

'Despite the fulfilment of all obligations under the Yamal contract by PGNiG, on April 27 this year, Gazprom has stopped delivering natural gas,' the Polish group said in a statement.

'The limitation of natural gas supplies is a breach of the Yamal contract. PGNiG reserves the right to pursue claims in connection with the suspension of deliveries and will use all contractual rights vested in the company and rights under the law.'

Putin had demanded countries he terms 'unfriendly' agree to a scheme under which they would open accounts at Gazprombank (a bank founded in 1990 specifically to serve Gazprom) and make payments for Russian gas imports in euros or dollars that would be converted into roubles.

Britain's Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab slammed Russia's decision, saying it will only serve to add to its status as an economic and political pariah.

'We have been warning about this for a while but we will stand shoulder to shoulder with our Polish friends and allies,' Raab told Sky News.

'It (halting gas supply) will have a ... very damaging effect on Russia as well because it is becoming further and further, more and more, not just a political pariah, but an economic pariah.'

Poland has repeatedly said it will not pay for Russian gas in roubles and has planned not to extend its gas contract with Gazprom after it expires in the end of this year.

'Payments for gas supplied from April 1 must be made in roubles using the new payments details, about which the counterparties were informed in a timely manner,' Gazprom said on Wednesday.

Bulgaria's energy minister Alexander Nikolov told reporters on Wednesday that his country had already paid for Russian gas deliveries for April, and halting gas supplies would be a breach of its current contract with Gazprom.

He said Bulgaria would observe the European Commission's stance urging countries not to pay in roubles for Russian gas as demanded by Putin.

'Because all trade and legal obligations are being observed, it is clear that at the moment the natural gas is being used more as a political and economic weapon in the current war,' Nikolov said.

Prior to Russia cutting the country's supply, Poland's climate minister Anna Moskwa said the country was prepared for the situation as it had worked for years to reduce reliance on Russian energy.

Bulgaria looking for alternative source of gas supplies

Bulgaria said it was working with state gas companies to find alternative sources and no restrictions on domestic consumption would be imposed for now, even though the Balkan country of 6.5 million people meets more than 90% of its gas needs with Russian imports.

Poland to receive gas supplies from Lithuania and Norway

Poland was expected to end its orders of Russian gas this year anyway, and on Tuesday, the Polish government had insisted it was ready to face any interruption of supply from Russia.

'There will be no shortage of gas in Polish homes,' Climate Minister Anna Moskwa wrote on Twitter. 'Since the first day of the war we have declared that we are ready for full independence from Russian raw materials.

'Poland has the necessary gas reserves and sources of supply to protect our security. For years we have been successfully making ourselves independent from Russia,' she added.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said gas storage facilities were 76 percent full and Poland was ready to 'obtain gas from all possible other directions'.

Poland has been receiving nine billion cubic metres of Russian gas a year, meeting more than half of its demand.

But it has alternative supply sources, including a gas pipeline connection with Lithuania that is due to open on May 1.

Another new pipeline, delivering gas from Norway, is due to come online in October, reaching full capacity by the end of the year.

Futhermore, Warsaw's underground gas storage tanks are said to be 80 per cent full and, with summer approaching, demand will be lower.

However, a long-term suspension could lead to restrictions on manufacturers, some of Poland's biggest gas consumers.

Gazprom's decision to cut gas to two European countries was another dark turn in the war, which has revived the geopolitical rifts of the Cold War and had an immediate impact. European gas prices spiked by as much as 24 percent.

Fatih Birol, the executive director of the Paris-based International Energy Agency, called the move a 'weaponization of energy supplies' in a tweet.

'Gazprom's move to completely shut off gas supplies to Poland is yet another sign of Russia's politicization of existing agreements & will only accelerate European efforts to move away from Russian energy supplies,' he wrote.

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called the move "yet another attempt by Russia to use gas as an instrument of blackmail. This is unjustified and unacceptable."
