NEJM revealed that the new virus "Langya" now in CCP China can cause fatal disease

The world has recently heated up again due to the outbreak of the Omicron subvariant virus strain, and faced with the spread of monkeypox, the crisis still exists. Unexpectedly, a new wave of animal-to-human transmission was discovered in CCP China. According to the relevant research of the authoritative medical journal NEJM, the virus is called "Langya virus" (LayV), which may cause transmitted disease deaths.

Physician Du Chengzhe said on Facebook that NEJM revealed on the 4th that LayV was discovered by microbiologists in Beijing and Qingdao. It is not the same type of virus as the current epidemic, but the family Paramyxoviridae. 35 cases have been reported in CCP China including cases in Shandong and Henan. The symptoms of LayV include fever, fatigue and cough. One of the most worrisome is that it can "induce lethal disease."

Du Chengzhe said that among the captive animals, dogs (5%) and goats (2%) were found to be seropositive. He also tested 25 species of animals and found that the shrew had the highest seropositivity ratio, and 71 of the 262 were tested positive, accounting for 27%, so he speculated that shrew may be the natural host of "Langya virus" .

Du Chengzhe further revealed that the close relative of this virus is the Nipah virus, which also belongs to Henipavirus, with a fatality rate as high as 40%. Outbreaks have occurred in Bangladesh, Ghana and India. Nosocomial infections occurred in hospitals in the Indian state of West Bengal, and this strain of the virus is thought to be capable of human-to-human transmission, but not in other strains.

Finally, Du Chengzhe mentioned that although there is no evidence of human-to-human transmission among the family members and close contacts of the 9 cases closely tracked by the researchers, the researchers believe that it is not yet possible to draw conclusions. "For now, as long as you pay close attention to the results of follow-up studies, especially whether it develops adult-to-human transmission, it should be enough for the time being."

No cases of human-to-human transmission of this virus have been found so far, but Huang Limin, a Taiwanese physician, said that this virus is a warning sign. If the containment work is not done well in the initial stage, once the disease develops from human to human, it will be like the current covid epidemic spreading on a global scale.

"Sanli News" quoted Huang Limin's analysis that it is not uncommon for animal viruses to be transmitted to humans, but animal-derived viruses such as Langya virus are ribonucleic acid viruses (RNA viruses), which are single-stranded viruses with fast replication speed and easy mutation. If the main host of RNA virus is a mammal, it will be more likely to mutate than the host is a bird, and it is more likely to spread from person to person.

The scientific name of the shrew is "Sorex araneus Linnaeus". It is also known as the sharp-mouthed mouse, insect-eating mouse, and smelly mouse in China. It is distributed in northwest China, northeast China, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and other places. It feeds on earthworms and insects for a living. Shrew is much like a mouse but in fact the two have nothing to do with each other.

Covid and monkeypox have broken out together, and a new virus "Langya" has appeared in CCP China. According to the relevant research of the authoritative medical journal NEJM, the virus is called "Langya virus", which may induce fatal diseases. Director Zhuang Renxiang explained the transmission route and fatality rate of the "Langya" virus.

According to the available data, there is currently no evidence of human-to-human transmission of the virus. At present, continuous monitoring is still required, and a laboratory nucleic acid detection method is established.

Zhuang Renxiang said that "Langya virus" was recently discovered in Shandong and Henan areas. There are currently 35 cases of infection. The symptoms include body fever, weakness, cough, etc. There are no deaths so far. (5%) and goats (2%) were found to be seropositive. In addition, 25 species of animals were tested, and it was found that the shrew had the highest seropositivity ratio, accounting for 27%. It is also known as the common money mouse in Taiwan. It is speculated that it may be the natural host of "Langya virus".

Zhuang Renxiang said that the current tracking data shows that there is no history of close contact or common contact between the patients. It is speculated that it may be incidental, sporadic infection, and 9 cases of family members and close contacts have been closely followed, and there is no evidence of human-to-human transmission, so no conclusion can be drawn. The cases are still to be closely monitored.

For the domestic part, Zhuang Renxiang pointed out that this is a brand new virus, and it is still necessary to establish a laboratory nucleic acid detection method. At present, the nucleic acid detection method will be stepped up and standardized. If monitoring is necessary, it will be included in the key monitoring items.

The epidemic broke out in Sanya, and the flight to Shanghai has exceeded NT$70,000

Reporter : Lin Minzhen / https://news.tvbs.com.tw/china/1870204

An epidemic broke out in Sanya, Hainan, a summer tourist destination in mainland China, with a total of 828 confirmed cases in six days. Due to epidemic prevention and control, some tourists are trapped in homestays and cannot buy food. Others had already boarded and left the plane, only to be invited off again. The travel platform shows that the original flight ticket from Sanya to Shanghai was only 7,600 yuan, and the price was once over NT$70,000.

Hearing that Sanya epidemic prevention and control requires static management of the city, the first thought of a large number of tourists is that they must leave immediately! Someone took a picture of a group of tourists who were stopped on the road with their luggage, and some people revealed that they had already boarded and left the plane, and they were notified that the flight was canceled.

Shanghai tourist stranded in Sanya said, "I'm just staying at the hotel for now, because I can't get out even if the flight is not canceled, and there are checkpoints on the road, so it's not easy to get to the airport."

Tourists stranded in Sanya and Sichuan: "Air tickets are very expensive, (Sanya to Yibin) 3,300 RMB (two pieces), before flying over, it was 3,400 RMB."

Because there are too many people who want to escape from Sanya, the price of air tickets is outrageous. Some tourists say that a ticket to Shanghai originally cost about NT$7,600. .

Wuhan tourist said, "Two did not come back and seven came back, a total of 9, and now the most important thing is that there is no flight from Sanya back to Wuhan."

According to the latest epidemic prevention regulations in Sanya, stranded tourists must complete a seven-day risk investigation locally, and the nucleic acid is negative on the first, second, third, fifth, and seventh days, and must be assessed before leaving.

Xu Jingdong, deputy director of the Hainan Center for Disease Control and Prevention: "Currently in Sanya, or since 23 July, those with a history of travel to Sanya have not left the island for the time being, and nucleic acid testing will be carried out according to regional epidemic prevention and control requirements."

Since it is now the peak summer tourism season, some market analysts roughly estimate that the epidemic in Sanya will cause about 32,000 tourism-related companies to suffer a serious impact.

The Sanya Epidemic Prevention and Control Work Headquarters in Hainan pointed out that the epidemic prevention and control situation in Sanya is severe. In order to stop the spread of the virus as soon as possible, a temporary global static management will be implemented from 6 am on 5 August.

The official recently confirmed that the sub-variant BA.5 branch evolution strain BA.5.1.3 of the Omicron variant has invaded Sanya, one of the cities of the island province. Due to the peak summer tourism season, He Shigang, deputy mayor of Sanya, recently told Lu media that it is estimated that there are more than 80,000 tourists staying in the area.

He Shigang said that judging from the current distribution of cases, Sanya Bay and Yalong Bay are the most concentrated places for tourists. Therefore, the government has strengthened the control of Sanya Bay and Yalong Bay, and requires a 24-hour nucleic acid negative certificate to enter to ensure that tourists are relatively safe in a concentrated place to avoid or reduce the possibility of virus infection.

The Paper quoted the Sanya Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control Work Headquarters today as saying that the current situation of covid epidemic prevention and control in Sanya is very serious. The general strategy and the general policy of "dynamic clearing", from 6 am on 6 August, the city will implement temporary global static management.

It is pointed out that in addition to ensuring basic social operation services, epidemic prevention and control and emergency special circumstances, Sanya city-wide restrictions on the movement of people and suspension of urban public transportation. Recovery time will be announced later.

In addition, Lingshui Li Autonomous County adjacent to Sanya has also implemented temporary global static management from 3 pm on 5 August.

The official website of the National Health Commission of China announced in the morning that from the whole day of 5 August 2022, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 361 new confirmed cases, including 310 local cases and 262 cases in Hainan; There are 275 local asymptomatic infections, with 95 and 46 cases in Zhejiang and Hainan respectively.

According to data from the National Health Commission, as of 12 am on 5 August 2022, there were 1,772 confirmed cases in mainland China, with a total of 230,496 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths. (Central News Agency)

A new round of CCP virus (covi) outbreak has recently occurred in Sanya, Hainan, and the number of infected people has soared rapidly. The local authorities announced the implementation of "global static management" from 6 am on 6 August. At present, all flights in the Sanya area have been cancelled, and the railway department has completely banned sales in the area. During the peak tourist season, the above-mentioned blockade measures will have a heavy impact on about 32,000 local tourism-related businesses.

According to comprehensive land media reports, from 6 a.m. local time on August 6, Sanya City began to implement temporary global static management, and the movement of people was restricted throughout the city. All traffic is suspended.

At the same time, Sanya's external flights were canceled on a large scale, and many flights to Sanya turned back halfway. All flights parked at Sanya Airport were required not to carry passengers away from Sanya. Even after some passengers had completed boarding, the plane Failed to take off, all passengers were asked to disembark.

At present, the latest news indicates that all flights in Sanya have been canceled, or no passenger planes will leave Sanya.

According to a report by China Business News, a number of airlines have confirmed that they have received a notification from Sanya that from the 6th, all flights involving Sanya will be cancelled, or no passenger aircraft will leave Sanya. Sanya Airport has also received a notice that the terminal "only goes out, not in", and passengers stranded at the airport will be transferred to hotels in the city for follow-up arrangements.

The information released by the China Railway 12306 website also shows that the railway department has banned all sales in Sanya, and citizens cannot leave Sanya by railway. At present, Sanya Station, Yalong Bay Station, Phoenix Airport Station, and Yazhou Station are all "only in and out", and the recovery time will be notified separately.

Sanya City is an important tourist town in Hainan Province. According to data from Tianyancha, there are currently more than 32,000 companies operating tourism, air tickets, hotels, aviation, travel agencies, scenic spots and other related businesses in the city.

After the outbreak of the CCP virus, a large number of scenic spots such as Sanya Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park, Wuzhizhou Island, Tianya Haijiao, Xidao, and Luhuitou have announced to suspend business. It is predicted that the official blockade and epidemic prevention policy will cause heavy damage to local tourism-related enterprises.

Zhou Weihong, deputy general manager of Spring and Autumn Tourism, said in an interview with the Chinese mainland media "First Financial" that in the first half of this year, domestic tourism revenue and tourist numbers have declined, and tourism operators have had a difficult time. After the repeated epidemics in Gansu and Beihai, Sanya now has an epidemic, "the impact on the summer travel market is still quite big."

According to the "Epoch Times" report, at present, China's major travel platforms and enterprises have urgently launched the refund and reform business.

"Qunar", the largest travel website in mainland China, recently announced that before August 4 (excluding August 4), customers placed orders on the "Qunar" platform, and the reservations were made between August 4 and August 11. Check-in orders that comply with the hotel's epidemic policy can apply for free cancellation.

However, a number of hotel guests and tourists in Sanya told China Caixin.com that as of 5 August, tourists stranded in hotels need to pay for their own room, and no relevant subsidy policies have been introduced.

The person in charge of Nahai B&B on Na Island in Sanya confirmed that all the guests of the B&B left the hotel one after another from 1 to 4 August, and the hotel is now vacant.

Zhao Jiang, the head of Zhuangyou Outdoor, an outdoor sports organization in Sanya, also said, "At the peak of the summer vacation this year, 40-50 people participated in paddle board and hiking activities every day, and they needed to book one to two days in advance. Yesterday, it dropped to 20 people. It's raining and there's almost no one there."

According to public information, this round of epidemic situation in Sanya, Hainan is fierce. In the past 5 days (0:00 on 1 August to 12 pm on 5 August), local officials have reported a total of 437 cases of covi infection.

Given that the CCP official has always concealed the true situation of the epidemic, the outside world suspects that the actual number of infected people may be much higher than the official data.
